Torre Antica in Waldshut-Tiengen

My wife and I came for lunch spontaneously. I ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella, my wife the gnocchi with tomatoes and mozzarella. When the pizza arrived, for whatever reason, there was ham on it, even though it wasn't listed on the menu. Since I don't eat ham, I couldn't eat the pizza. Unfortunately, the gnocchi were very bland and the tomato sauce tasted like ready-made sauce. There was no trace of mozzarella. The waiter was very friendly - the only positive thing about our visit. The toilet was in an unhygienic state. After a few minutes, the boss came, noticed that I hadn't eaten my pizza, and apologized. He offered to make a new one, but I declined because I had already tried the crust and the overall taste of the pizza was disappointing - it was more like a sub-par frozen pizza. Unfortunately, not a recommendable experience.

Ambiance is really nice My girlfriend and I had the lemon-mango risotto and one with pesto... both were so incredibly delicious. My friend had a fantastically prepared tomato mozzarella salad as a starter (the way the food was served was unique) it doesn't come to the plate in the classic way... you have to try it! Afterwards a super delicious pizza with buratta. Something has definitely changed, but in a positive way! We'll be back

I searched the Internet for a good Italian restaurant and the reviews sounded good. I ordered an Italian antipasti, full of anticipation and was disappointed, there was a juniper ham, a German salami and Black Forest ham on the antipasti, there was absolutely nothing on it with antipasti and this basamic cream drizzled everywhere, when we asked the waiter about it, he said he was sorry because of the holidays he didn't have any Italian products had more in the kitchen 😕😕. That's a statement, well. My ravioli was okay afterwards, but this waiter didn't come to our table anymore. He neither offered us a coffee nor somehow came with the bill, let alone a grappa Offered on the house, the whole thing was very disappointing. We also go to work and have to earn our money. The place is nicely decorated, that's actually all.

One of the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. Even our children didn't want to eat the pizza... Glasses weren't really clean and the service, although friendly, didn't understand us at all because she didn't speak the language. The pizza is prepared with inferior products. Frozen scattered mozzarella, far too much tomato sauce and the capers and anchovies were just slapped on carelessly. Too bad...

Absoluter Reinfall am Silvester 2024 Silvestermenü war schlecht bis ungeniessbar. Die Musik viel zu laut. Nach unserer Reklamation war der Preisnachlass ungenügend. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Beautiful, rustic environment, I loved it. The food was excellent I must say, but the first course was ravioli with ricotta and spinach. I have to say that in the ravioli there was only ricotta and not even a hint of spinach, but otherwise everything was really good. Regarding the service, I would say terrible, starting from the fact that they took away the dirty cutlery and when they served the other dish they forgot to bring clean ones, and the same thing for the towels. On the other hand, the place was not full, so these oversights cannot be understood. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the service.

A really cozy restaurant with a nice ambience that invites you to linger. The shrimp starter was simply delicious and perfectly balanced. I also really enjoyed the pasta and it was served in a generous portion. A small downer was that I received blackcurrant juice even though I had ordered the plaice. Still, everything else was great and I would definitely come back!

Unfortunately disappointed with the food. Risotto was still raw and it didn't say that it had cheese. Bad for people with lactose intolerance. The meat was very rich in muscle fibers. Have eaten better there too. The price is too high for this quality. The Vitello Tonnato's mayonnaise was not fresh.

What a sweetheart in Waldshut. We felt very comfortable during our visit two weeks ago. The comfortable ambience in the vaulted ceilings is simply unique. The food tastes very good and is of very good quality. The service is very attentive and we were recommended a delicious red wine. A lovely stay that we would like to enjoy again soon.

We were there today for my mom's birthday. Starting with the same day reservation + another time shift, to the specially set table, the great service, very nice and polite staff and of course the absolutely delicious food. We are completely satisfied. We'll definitely be back

We had dinner on the garden terrace. The service was friendly and attentive. We were recommended a delicious Chardonnay with our meal. The food was very tasty. The spaghetti tasted homemade and the meat served on the hot stone tasted and looked great. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Quite expensive in terms of price. As an example: a soup costs a good €8. For this money you can also eat out in neighboring Switzerland. The service clearly has potential for improvement. Plates received dirty, after a short inquiry new plates were brought, but again dirty ones. The grilled vegetables we ordered as a side dish were ice old, as if they had just been taken out of the fridge.

The place is beautiful from the outside. Inside it could use a refresh... As soon as we entered there was no one there then the manager welcomed us. Beautiful building used as a restaurant, but the Irish pub is apparently bankrupt.

We went to celebrate my birthday because the usual Italian restaurant we go was close, so since the place looks amazing, we decided to give it a try, but unfortunately wasn't really a good experience. We ordered food and drinks. Drinks came and mine was wrong. The waiter changed it. Came 2 times more to ask what did we ordered for food. After 20' he said it will take 15' for the food to come. (No apologies) after 45' we asked where is the food, and he answered in the oven. After 15' more we decided to leave. We went to pay and the guy was pissed at us, he asked literally: "You don't want to wait a little bit more and see if the food comes?" We said more than 1h was enough waiting. And again, NO a single apologies, like it was completely a normal thing. I must say that the whole thing was a disaster. I saw one couple sending back the food, and 2 more tables complaining. Anyway, I wish all the best to this place, but having this poor service, don't know how long they will last.

Perfect and excellent are understatements. The rump steak strips with parmesan on rocket and tagliatelle are a POEM! Rarely enjoyed strips of rump steak that were so aromatic and well cooked (perfect roasted aromas). The fillet with truffle sauce and tagliatelle was also on point, delicious! The tagliatelle seemed freshly made and the decoration of the plates was loving and appealing. Priced more than appropriate. We came here by motorbike from our Black Forest vacation and really have to say: one of the best meals we've ever had :)

I went to dinner on Saturday evening with my partner... house appetizer, paccheri alla Genovese Neapolitan, penne alla cubana and to finish a tomahawk on the hot stone divided into 2... for one evening I felt at home... atmosphere romantic, full place, minimal waits and welcoming staff... I highly recommend it, I will return soon...

The Pizza Pescatore lives up to its name. Fast and friendly service. The steak on the hot stone is probably also very good. When they sizzle on several tables in the restaurant, it obscures the view and is therefore not suitable for asthmatics. Ventilation would help.

I think it's a nice pizzeria, the prices are completely reasonable, the portions are large and the food tastes really good, I'll be back again

Sehr schönes Ambiente, Pizza wirklich ausgezeichnet und von guter Qualität. Bedienung auch sehr freundlich. Einzig der Geschmack im Restaurant ist durch die mangelnde Lüftung nicht optimal. Generell meinen Meinung, dass man sich entweder auf Steakhouse oder Italienischer Küche entscheiden soll. Aber ein Besuch auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Leider kann ich nur den Service benoten, weil wir keinen Platz mehr bekommen haben obwohl wir eine Reservationsbestätigung hatten. Das ist leider nicht gut und fällt unter (sehr schlechte Quallität des services) Auch der kleine Manager hat sich nicht richtig auf deutsch entschuldigen und erklären können, hat halt auch mit der Quallität zu tun. Dafür sind wir im Restaurant Scheffelhof unweit von dem Torre weg, auf unsere Kosten gekommen.

Ero venuto a cena qualche mese fa, e quando mi hanno proposto di ritornarci ero molto scettico, perchè oltre a non aver mangiato bene.. era tutto un caos.. Oggi ho preso un filetto argentino , più che soddisfatto, carne di qualità su pietra. Ambiente accogliente quasi familiare, servizio efficiente. Ci tornerò di sicuro . Tutto molto buono !!!

Letzte Woche haben wir erfahren, dass Nicola Scarpa (Nico) wieder der „Chef“ im Hause ist. Drum auch unser Besuch heute - und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wir kommen jetzt gerne mit Freude wieder!

Heute Abend zu Zweit gegessen. Steakhaus trifft Italien. Herzlicher Empfang, tolles Ambiente. Unsere Empfehlung ist Da Tomahawk Steak (1,2kg) vom heißen Stein. Vorab tolle italienische Vorspeisen. Preis Leistung unschlagbar!!! Immer wieder gern!

Ein richtiges italienisches Restaurant. Nicht alle, die sich so nennen, sind es auch. Dieses aber schon. Bruschetta war Klasse und die Pizza auch. Tolles Ambiente und sehr nette Bedienung. Gerne wieder.

Wir hatten Pizza Tonno und Ravioli mit Salbeibutter . Der Käse auf der Pizza war auch hart , der Thon schmeckte abgestanden. Ich habe gefragt ob die Ravioli hausgemacht seien ? Die Antwort war JA !!! Die Füllung der Ravioli war sehr hart und bröckelte . Der Teig aussen rum war hart und ich musste rundherum abschneiden. Salbeibutter war auch nicht darüber , sondern Butter mit irgend undefinierbaren Kräuter. Somit ist uns der Appetit vergangen und wir schoben unsere probierten Teller auf die Seite. Die Servicekraft fragte ob es gut sei ? Wir sagten Nein und die Ravioli sind auch nicht frisch und hausgemacht. Dann sagte sie : Sie könne nichts dafür , wobei ich ihr entgegnete ich hätte extra gefragt ob die Ravioli hausgemacht seien ? Dann rief eine Frau von der Küche zu : Wir bestellen die in Rheinfelden und die werden alle Woche angeliefert. Das war alles was sie dazu bemerkten , somit bezahlten wir und kommen sicher nie mehr in dieses Restaurant. Wenn die so weiter machen haben die bald keine Gäste mehr .

Das Ambiente ist ganz nett und der Koch am Grill wirkt sehr Authentisch. Jedoch der Service ist unterirdisch.

Bei Torre Antica wird die süditalienische Küche traditionell und unkompliziert interpretiert: das gibt einen ausgeprägten Eindruck von Echtheit. Auch Sonderwünsche für Variationen werden gerne wahrgenommen: so entsteht eine gute Balance zwischen gängige und spezielle Gerichte. Der Hauswein aus Kalabrien hat in sich etwas Besonderes, muss man aber empfänglich sein, um diese Noten zu finden. Das Ganze in eine herzliche Atmosphäre.

Solides Essen und herziges Restaurant, man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl und willkommen mit der netten Bedienung!

Das Essen im Restaurant war super lecker und lies keine Wünsche offen. Die Pizza war die beste, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Die Preise waren angemessen und der Kellner war nett und aufmerksam. Allerdings hat es 3 Stunden gedauert für Vor Haupt und Nachspeise, bis wir zahlen konnten, obwohl das Restaurant halb leer war. Das Essen hat lange gebraucht, bis es kam. Am Anfang war der Kellner sehr aufmerksam, aber als wir zahlen wollten, war niemand verfügbar, obwohl wir des Öfteren nachgefragt haben.

An einem schönen Sonntag Abend, vorreserviert und mit 12 hungrigen Personen, haben wir uns sehr auf den Besuch gefreut, da wir vor Corona gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben. Angefangen von "es gibt aktuell gar kein Bier offen" (Flaschen nur auf Nachfrage und dann ohne Schaum und komisch schmeckend), fast 1.5h STUNDEN WARTEZEIT bis das Essen (Heiserstein) kam, nur mangelnd Brot als Übergang, keine frischen Saucen, zu "sorry keine Curlyfries mehr" 5min vor Tischlieferung und letztendlich ein schlechter Service, war wohl alles dabei. Das Essen selbst ist zwar Qualitativ sehr gut und liebevoll, aber nach dem Erlebnis sind wir leider schwer enttäuscht, kommen nicht mehr und können es daher keinem Empfehlen leider. Zeiten ändern sich..

We tried meat, pizza, and Tiramisu. Everything was great. The meat comes with 2 sides of your choice, which is great. Pizzas are really good too. The Tiramisu is a bit unconventional, with less mascarpone cheese and a very very mild coffee flavor, and more sweet.

Unter der Leitung des Vorgängers gehörte es zu unserem Top Restaurant und wir ware sehr oft da. Nach dem Wechsel waren all unsere Besuche ein Desaster. Von Überforderung bis hin zu Fleisch das nicht mehr in Ordnung war. Leider können wir dieses Lokal unter der jetzigen Leitung nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr unfreundliches überfordertes personal. Das torre hat eine sehr schlechte Belüftung. Es bietet Fleisch auf dem heissen stein, jedoch ist die Lüftung überhaupt nicht ausreichend..wir mussten sehr lange auf das Essen warten und meiner Meinung nach kann man nur die Pizzen essen…alles andere war ungeniessbar… Nie wieder torre….

Domenica scorsa siamo stati per la seconda volta.... Confermiamo le 5 stelle ampiamente meritate, sia per la qualità delle pietanze (ottima la carne e la parmigiana di melanzane!) sia per la cordialità del servizio. Torneremo ancora!

Authentisch Italienisch. Das Personal war sehr nett und aufgestellt. Wir waren zum zweiten mal in Restaurants und es war super. Die Pizzas wie auch das Fleisch (Heisse Stein) waren hervorragend. Ich kann das Restaurant Torre Antica sehr empfehlen.
