Wir sind 2-3 Mal im Jahr zu Gast. Dass wir uns auf der deutschen Seite preislich mehr und mehr dem Schweizer Niveau anpassen ist nichts Besonderes, aber die Qualität muss passen, sonst wird es schwierig. In der Penne mit Lachs hatten sich drei kleine Stückchen Fisch verirrt. Die Portion war klein. In Summe nicht zufriedenstellend. Das sollte sich schnell wieder bessern, sonst passen Preis / Leistung nicht mehr in den Rahmen!

Wir sind nach einem langen Tag mit dem Fahrrad spontan und ohne Reservierung im Restaurant angekommen und haben sofort einen schönen Platz draußen bekommen. Obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war, fanden wir den Geräuschpegel überraschend angenehm. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und auf Zack. Wir haben buchstäblich göttlich gespeist, sowohl meine Carbonara, als auch die 5-Käsesorten-Pizza waren geschmacklich fantastisch - und das Essen kam auch sehr schnell. Zum Espresso gab es eine Art Kaffee-Mousse, das ebenfalls extrem lecker war - und zum Abschluss haben wir noch kalte Limoncello bekommen. Das ganze zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Wir würden gerne jederzeit wieder einkehren, sehr schade, dass wir weiter weg wohnen. :) Wir danken dem Restaurant für dieses fabelhafte Abendessen an unserem ersten Urlaubstag.

Ein kulinarisches Kunstwerk – Die beste Pizza seit langem! Ich bin immer noch absolut begeistert von meinem Besuch in dieser Pizzeria. Wer glaubt, Pizza sei gleich Pizza, der hat die Stern-Pizza hier noch nicht probiert! Ich hatte das Vergnügen, eine Pizza in Sternform zu genießen, und sie war nicht nur optisch ein absoluter Hingucker, sondern auch geschmacklich eine Sensation. Das Besondere: Die Zacken des Sterns sind als kleine Teigtaschen geformt und mit einer cremigen Ricotta-Schinken-Füllung gefüllt. Normalerweise ist der Rand bei einer Pizza ja eher „Beilage“, aber hier wird er zum eigentlichen Star des Gerichts. Der Ricotta war herrlich frisch und die Kombination mit dem Schinken in den Teigtaschen einfach genial.

Ein fantastisches Erlebnis von Anfang bis Ende. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und ausgebucht, dennoch fand das Personal einen Tisch für uns, wofür wir uns sehr dankbar waren. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über exzellent – ​​freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Die Pizza war phänomenal! Die Desserts waren ebenso beeindruckend, und auch die Getränke waren hervorragend. Alles, was wir bestellt hatten, war einfach fantastisch. Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team, das den vollen Betrieb so reibungslos und gleichzeitig die hohe Qualität so gut meisterte. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ristorante il Martino (Waldshut-Tiengen) liegt grenznah zur Schweiz und wirkt insgesamt wie ein typisches Familienrestaurant mit viel lokalem Durchgangsverkehr. Die Pizza war solide und relativ authentisch im Napoli-Stil, für die Region überraschend gut und in der Größe passend. Preislich im erwartbaren Rahmen für die Grenzlage, vermutlich auch durch Schweizer Kundschaft leicht angezogen, aber noch akzeptabel. Der gemischte Salat war sehr basic, klein portioniert und mit 7,50 € eher schwach im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Service war freundlich und familiär geprägt, inklusive sichtbarer Kinder im Betrieb, was authentisch wirkt und den Eindruck eines echten Familienbetriebs verstärkt. Positiv war der Gruß aus der Küche sowie der angebotene Limoncello am Ende.

Unglaublich lecker. Meine Lieblingspizza ist die Sternenpizza mit gefülltem Rand. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Von außen sieht das Restaurant sehr klein aus, aber der Schein trügt.

Ich war kürzlich zum Abendessen hier und habe ein paar Hauptgerichte sowie Getränke bestellt. Der Service war höflich und die Lage ist praktisch, aber insgesamt entsprach das Erlebnis nicht der sehr hohen Bewertung. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber für die Preisklasse (€70–80 pro Person) eher durchschnittlich, und auch die Atmosphäre konnte nicht besonders überzeugen. Ein Punkt, der mir aufgefallen ist: Kritisches Feedback scheint hier eher hinterfragt als angenommen zu werden, was es schwieriger macht, sich ein realistisches Bild zu machen. Nach diesem Besuch würde ich das Restaurant persönlich nicht so hoch bewerten, wie es die Gesamtbewertung vermuten lässt.

Wir kommen immer wieder. Sehr lecker, glaubs die beste Pizza die ich kenn, es ist wie in Italien!!!! Der Salat (die Salatsauce ist auch der Hammer!!!!! Bedienung auch immer sehr freundlich. Aber ich würde empfehlen zu reservieren, da es teilweise sehr voll ist.

Wir waren hier schon mehrfach essen und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Die Qualität ist konstant auf sehr hohem Niveau – egal ob Pizza, Pasta oder Vorspeisen, alles schmeckt frisch und hervorragend. Man merkt, dass hier mit Erfahrung und Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Der Service ist immer freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Auch das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Genau so stellt man sich ein gutes italienisches Restaurant vor. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und können es absolut weiterempfehlen!

Am 5.1.2026 frittierte und gefüllte Melanzane gegessen. Eine große Verführung des Gaumens. Leider ist es bei den gerade herrschenden niedrigen Temperaturen ein wenig zugig im Restaurant.

I desperately needed a good pizza, and I got a very good one there. I was there with my daughter; they have a special children's menu. Everyone was very nice and friendly and did everything they could to make sure we had a good time.

A long-time favorite Italian restaurant that has unfortunately lost some of its quality: It's honestly not easy for me to write this review, as we've known the restaurant since 2019, and for years it was one of our absolute favorite restaurants in WT. Back then, we were regulars, about 4-5 times a month, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent. Back then: a clear 5 out of 5 stars. A lot has changed over time, however. On the positive side, the service remains friendly and attentive, and the ambiance still feels stylish, well-kept, and slightly upscale. What has noticeably deteriorated, however, is the quality of the food, and unfortunately, this has continued for quite some time. A few specific examples: Carbonara: Back then, it was a real highlight: traditionally prepared with oil, bacon, and egg, creamily emulsified, with a finely balanced flavor. Today, the dish seems considerably less loving: less bacon, barely noticeable egg, the sauce tastes almost exclusively of oil and has an unpleasant consistency. The emulsion that once created that velvety texture is no longer effective. Overall, it's considerably weaker than I remember. Spaghetti Bolognese: The change is noticeable here, too; it used to be a robust sauce with plenty of beef, but now it's rather watery and with only a few pieces of meat. Unfortunately, the flavor has also deteriorated considerably. What has remained positive: The pizzas are still very tasty, crispy, and well-topped. The desserts are also still impressive. And as already mentioned: The service is attentive and friendly, even though I miss my favorite red-haired waitress, who used to make a particularly warm impression. What's important to me: I have absolutely no problem with price increases!! Quality has its price. But it also has to remain consistent, and unfortunately, I don't see that here anymore. For me, this restaurant has always stood for authenticity and high-quality cuisine, two values ​​that I unfortunately no longer recognize in the same form. That's a real shame. I still go there occasionally, simply out of old loyalty, but more and more often with the feeling of being disappointed. It's gotten to the point where I'm seriously considering not coming back if things don't change. Nevertheless, I would like to thank you for many wonderful years, special evenings, and delicious, high-quality dishes. If the restaurant returns to its former quality, I would be happy to come back anytime. Thank you for reading. I sincerely hope things get better again.

Today, our entire family, including our three children, went to Ristorante il Martino and were absolutely thrilled. The food was excellent. Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We'd especially like to mention Razvan: His service was simply exceptional! He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We all felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. The rest of the service is also truly positive! Everyone is so hospitable, and the ambiance is perfect.

Very friendly staff, amazing pizza, almost like in Italy!

It's just a rip-off. For a tiny portion of salad for 18 euros with three chanterelles for a healthy man, it's just ridiculous. They save on everything, even on the customers. I won't go to this restaurant naked again! And they even seated me near the toilet.

We arrived at the restaurant and the atmosphere was very good. I then ordered a pizza which was very thin and had a good crust. I really liked it. The drinks selection was 7/10. I would have liked them to have more choice, but despite that there was enough. At the end I wanted to pay, but then we got a Limoncello on the house, which I was very, very grateful for. My last words were that the server was very nice.

We ordered pasta and a pizza at 6:45 p.m., but didn't get our food until 7:40 p.m. (after our warning!), even though there were only three tables and it was a Monday. The salad was a disaster; they just cut an iceberg and poured sauce on it. The pasta was just ordinary tagliatelle and had a slightly off-flavor. If pasta costs €21, it must be very good, not like homemade pasta. The bruschetta was with anchovies, and the anchovies were extremely salty. The pizza base was good, but the ingredients weren't tasty. The tuna on the pizza was very cheap tuna. I don't understand the positive points. Either this is a village and the people weren't eating better or something else. We were very hungry, so we ate, but we really weren't satisfied.

We had a very pleasant evening. The service was very polite, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet. We'll be back.

The only thing that could be noted is the seasoning of the dishes – a little more garlic, salt, pepper, or lemon would have intensified the flavor. But that's a very personal preference, of course. The pizza dough is exceptionally good – perfectly seasoned and prepared without haste. Although the pizza looks rich, you don't feel heavy after eating it. The best pizza we've had in a long time! We'll definitely be back!

Great Italian restaurant. Large selection of dishes. The typical Italian pizzas, the Toteloni or the fish are highly recommended. The Vitelöo tonnato as a starter was really good. Price-performance ratio is also right here, around 40 euros per person including starter, aperitif drink, main course and wine. When you pay you get a free limoncello, I think it's homemade because I've never had one that good.

Not even considering the please to get baby some bread, unfortunately lack of professionalism and empathy combined. Pity as the food guests were having looked great!

There are probably few restaurants that I would recommend immediately and without hesitation. This is definitely one of them. Ambience, service, cuisine, everything is great here. We all had a starter and a main course. Simply all dishes are recommended. We left the wine selection to our waiter and were not disappointed here either. Highly recommended.

Today I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Il Martino restaurant and I was extremely satisfied. Even though it was overcrowded with at least 70 people or maybe more, and there were only two waiters, the service was fantastic from the starter to the pizza and the meat. The only note that could be improved was the quality of the fish in my first course, which I found a little tasteless. However, everything else was excellent and I can only say thank you and say “wow”. The waiters made us feel at ease, they were kind and always with a smile.
