Dieses Restaurant hat eine unglaublich angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Das Essen im Restaurant ist einfach himmlisch. Vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team, dass Sie unseren Abend unvergesslich gemacht haben. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich statt 5 sogar 10 Sterne vergeben!!

Ein fantastischer Ort für ein Konferenzdinner.

Wunderschöne Terrasse am Heiligen See . Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend . Der Wein und das Tartar schmeckt sehr gut.

Selten das alles super ist, auch die Preise waren ok. Werden sehr gerne mal zum Brunch kommen.

Das ruhige, exklusive Ambiente und die erlesene Speisekarte sind top, der Rest - leider Flopp! Die komplette Vorgehensweise ab der Reservierung bis zum Festmahl für unsere kleine Gruppe wurde überdurchschnittlich kompliziert abgewickelt, alles recht streng durchgezogen, wohl nach den "THOMASA-Regeln"(schnell, systemisch, abgefüttert, abkassiert, der nächste bitte...). Sollten pro Person für's Gedeck 5.50 Euro zahlen und dann war gar keins da, das übliche wie auf allen Tischen. Dann sollten wir unbedingt pünktlich erscheinen andernfalls wird nach 15 Minuten der Tisch frei gegeben werden. Nun, wir waren pünktlich, wurden allerdings gebeten uns etwas zu gedulden, unser Tisch sei leider noch nicht vorbereitet. Unding. Der Abstand zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgericht war ca. 1.5 Stunden und in dieser Zeit fragte kein Mensch ob wir noch was trinken möchten, erst nachdem einer von uns nach vorne lief und nach weiteren Getränken fragte, kam jemand. Trotz einzelner Bemühungen wirkte die Belegschaft etwas desolat, überfordert, unkoordiniert, ja teilweise amateurhaft obwohl genug Personal da war. Gleich zu Anfang ein Fauxpas: Sekt im Glas mit Lippenstiftspuren der Vorgängerin serviert zu bekommen ist gastronomischer Erdbeben. Statt Entschuldigung hieß es nur "Kann ja mal vorkommen". Trotz des bekannten Anlasses (runder Geburtstag) kam von dem edlen Hause VILLA KELLERMANN weder ein Glückwunsch noch irgend eine klitzekleine Geste der Anerkennung, Gratulation oder Wohlwollens gegenüber dem Geburtstagskind - gar nichts. Einfach ignoriert. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist weit von einander entfernt, es schreit regelrecht nach Korrektur. Laut Google wurden seitens der Betreiber bislang bis zu 150 Bewertungen wg. "Diffamierung" bereits gelöscht, d.h. 25% der Gästestimmen sind hier leider gar nicht mehr sichtbar. Spricht nicht unbedingt für die aktuelle Qualitätsdarstellung. Schade.

Etwas besseres in der Umgebung gibt es nicht 1A!!!!

Wir waren leider nicht überzeugt. Die Lage ist herrlich, aber das Essen hat uns nicht geschmeckt (der Kartoffelsalat schmeckte wie aus dem Supermarkt). Der Service war freundlich, aber schlecht koordiniert und dadurch langsam und gestresst. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen. Vorsicht: dieses Lokal lässt schlechte Bewertungen von Google entfernen!

Herausragender Service, gutes Essen.

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe von 30 Personen zum Essen da und das Restaurant hat sich hervorragend um jeden Einzelnen gekümmert. Jeder fühlte sich willkommen und genoss den atemberaubenden Blick auf den See. Speisen und Getränke wurden schnell serviert und schmeckten fantastisch! Vielen Dank im Namen von uns allen!

Die Location könnte besser nicht sein! Man kann beim Brunch im gepflegten Garten den Blick auf das Marmorpalais und den Heiligen See genießen! Der Service war grundsätzlich sehr freundlich und bemüht. In Anbetracht der Preise und der Klasse des Restaurants könnten die Kellner*innen allerdings etwas besser geschult werden was Kommunikation, Haltung und Kundeninteraktion angeht. Auch der Espresso lässt für 4€ leider sehr zu wünschen übrig - die Tasse war viel zu groß (der Espresso selbst zum Glück nicht) und es war absolut keine Crema mehr auf dem Kaffee, was sehr schade ist. Das Essen selbst war sehr überzeugend und angemessen reichlich. Die Garnelen sind zu empfehlen! Alles in allem ein sehr schönes und empfehlenswertes Etablissement, das sein volles Potential nach je 2h Service- und Kaffeeschulung entfalten könnte.😊

Ein tolles Abendessen in tollem Ambiente.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Ambiente einzigartig. Leider war aber der Fisch, den ich bestellt hatte kaum gewürzt. Die Suppe war allerdings sehr lecker.

Sehr guter Service, leckeres Essen und eine tolle Aussicht. Ein so ruhiger und entspannter Ort. Wird definitiv mein Lieblingsrestaurant.

Wir hatten am Sonntag, den 3. Mai, leider ein Erlebnis im Höfts, das man nur als Vollkatastrophe bezeichnen kann. Die Lage, das Ambiente sowie die Villa und der Außenbereich sind wirklich beeindruckend, das lässt sich nicht anders sagen. Leider endet hier auch schon das Positive. Nach unserer Ankunft haben wir die Speisekarte bekommen, mit dem Hinweis, dass bereits fünf Gerichte (zwei Vorspeisen und drei Hauptspeisen) nicht mehr verfügbar seien. Das ist zwar unschön, aber noch nachvollziehbar. Wir haben zunächst Getränke und anschließend das Essen bestellt (vier Fleischgerichte, ein Fischgericht). Kurz darauf kam der Kellner zurück: Die Königsberger Klopse seien in der ursprünglichen Form nicht mehr verfügbar, könnten aber alternativ zubereitet werden. Damit waren wir einverstanden. Wenige Minuten später dann doch anders: das Gericht sei nun komplett aus, wir müssten erneut etwas anderes wählen. Na gut. Währenddessen wurde ein eher liebloser Brotkorb mit fünf kleinen Scheiben für fünf Personen serviert, obwohl wir bereits seit einiger Zeit auf unser Essen warteten. Eine Nachfrage nach weiteren Getränken gab es nicht. Wieder einige Zeit später, mittlerweile wirkte es wie versteckte Kamera, kam die Serviceleitung und erklärte, dass das Fleisch in der Küche als qualitativ unbrauchbar eingestuft wurde. Somit sollten wir erneut zwei Gerichte neu auswählen. Als wir daraufhin entschieden, lieber ganz auf das Essen zu verzichten, reagierte die Serviceleitung mit Unverständnis. Uns wurde nahegelegt, doch einfach erneut zu bestellen, da drei der Speisen bereits fertig seien und die Küche die zwei weiteren sofort zubereiten würde. Auf unser erneutes Ablehnen wurde mit einem Blick der Art: selbst schuld reagiert. Die bereits „fertigen“ Gerichte wurden dann erst etwa zehn Minuten später serviert. In der Zwischenzeit erhielt ein Nachbartisch, der deutlich nach uns gekommen war, bereits sein Essen (bei teilweise gleicher Bestellung). Dort wurde zudem proaktiv ein Sonnenschirm bereitgestellt, als die Terrasse nicht mehr im Schatten war, während wir weiterhin in der direkten Sonne saßen. Beim Bezahlen gab es keinerlei Entgegenkommen – nicht einmal bei den Getränken. Das war sehr ernüchternd. Auch die Serviceleitung ließ sich nicht nochmal blicken, um sich zu entschuldigen oder anderweitig zu entschädigen. Unserem Kellner möchten wir dabei ausdrücklich keinen großen Vorwurf machen. Es war offensichtlich, dass das Personal insgesamt überfordert war und auch von der Leitung im Stich gelassen wurde. Fehler können passieren – entscheidend ist jedoch der Umgang damit. In unserem Fall fehlte es leider an Organisation, Professionalität und vor allem an Gastfreundschaft. Abgerundet wurde das Ganze übrigens durch überflutete Toiletten. Insgesamt ein sehr enttäuschendes Erlebnis, das in keiner Weise dem Anspruch und auch dem Preis eines solchen Hauses gerecht wird. Den zweiten Stern gibt es nur für das Ambiente und das Essen, was es schlussendlich gab, was geschmeckt hat.

Gestern hatten wir im Höfts leider keine gute Erfahrung gemacht. Am Vormittag haben wir uns um eine Reservierung bemüht, erst am Telefon eine Absage bekommen und folglich einen Anruf erhalten, dass nun doch ein Tisch für uns frei wäre. Folglich sind wir abends zu 19 Uhr vor Ort gewesen und haben uns angekündigt. Der reservierte Tisch draußen war leider noch nicht frei, weshalb wir drin erstmal platziert wurden. Nach erster Bedienung und Überreichung der Speisekarten haben wir dann erstmal Wasser bestellt, was auch zügig kam. Nachdem wir eine Dreiviertelstunde gewartet haben, haben wir nochmals nachgefragt nach dem reservierten Tisch draußen und wurden nach draußen geleitet und höchstwahrscheinlich zur Chefin des Lokals. Die Chefin hat uns draußen unfreundlich empfangen und uns klar gemacht, dass unserer Tisch nun frei wäre und anschließend wurde sie lauter und hat uns unfreundlich zu wissen lassen, dass der Koch vor ein paar Stunden vom Laster überfahren wurde. Mein herzlicher Beileid an die Familie und Bekannten des Kochs! Ein professionelles auftreten hingegen war es nicht gewesen, man hätte auch von vornherein uns aufklären können, dass der Koch heute leider kurzfristig ausgefallen ist. Wir haben dementsprechend Verständnis gehabt für die lange Wartezeit, jedoch unseren Tisch nach dieser „netten“ Erfahrung mit der Chefin für andere Gäste freigegeben und das Lokal verlassen.

Zusammenfassung: Fantastisches Ambiente, durchschnittlicher bis nachlässiger Service und (für die Preisgestaltung und Anmutung bzw. eher Anmaßung) sehr unterdurchschnittliches Essen. Wir waren an einem wunderbaren Sonntag mit tollem Wetter hier zum Brunchen. Alle Erfahrungen beziehen sich also auf die Brunch-Gerichte, lassen sich aber sicherlich auf die weiteren Gerichte anwenden. Begonnen hat unser Besuch absolut positiv, die Lage ist wirklich umwerfend, besonders der Platz am Wasser den wir hatten bot einen fantastischen Ausblick auf den See und das Marmorpalais. Auch die Plätze auf der Terrasse, die etwas schattiger lagen waren nicht viel weniger von toller Aussicht geprägt. So war die Bühne für Gaumen-Schauspiel vorbereitet und wir sehr guter Dinge, dass es ein gebührender Abschluss in Potsdam wird. Der Service nahm freundlich unsere Bestellung auf und auch auf ein kleines Missgeschick am Nachbartisch wurde gut reagiert. Geplatzt ist die Blase dann bei Ankunft des Essens (siehe Bilder). Zwei Portionen Bagel, eine davon vegetarisch. Auf den ersten Blick lieblos auf den Teller gepackt, die weiteren Blicke wurden leider nicht besser. Die Bagel waren teilweise sehr dürftig belegt, besonders das Backhendl hätte nicht kleiner sein dürfen, sonst wäre es im Loch des Bagels verschwunden. Das Grillgemüse ebenso lieblos ohne Soße, Butter oder ähnliches auf den Bagel gepackt, jeder Student hätte es sich in seiner 8m² Küche liebevoller zubereiten können. Der Lachs Bagel war als einziger in Ordnung, war aber auch eher Richtung typischer (günstiger) Coffee Shop ohne viel Besonderheit. Die absolute Krönung waren aber die Bagel selbst. Nicht viel mehr als Fertigbagel aus dem Supermarkt und selbst die wären frisch aufgebacken besser und weniger trocken gewesen. Die Sauce Hollandaise auf dem pochierten Ei vermutlich auch ein Convenience-Produkt, was bei einigen Restaurants auch vertretbar ist, nicht aber bei einem Restaurant dieser Preisklasse. Am Nachbartisch parallel dazu das Ereignis, was mich auch den Service kritisch betrachten lässt: Bestellt wurde eine Brunch-Étagere unteranderem mit Vitello Tonnato. Nach einiger Zeit folgte dann die Rückfrage an den Service, ob denn nicht Vitello Tonnato dabei sein sollte. Die Antwort absolut erschreckend: "Das ist heute leider aus, es wurden aber *wahrscheinlich* andere Dinge mehr hinzugefügt. Ich Frage nochmal nach." Fehlende Zutaten sind per sé kein Problem, vor allem bei Restaurants die auf frische Zutaten setzen nicht unüblich, dort kommt aber vom Service bei Ausgabe der Karte, spätestens aber bei Bestellung des Gerichts, der Hinweis und nicht erst nach Rückfrage der Gäste und bereits serviertem Essen. Insgesamt leider eine verschwendete Location die eines Sterne-Essens würdig wäre.

A truly magnificent castle. Pure luxury...

Hardly any other review was as difficult for me as the one about Höfts. The star rating system simply isn't nuanced enough to allow for an adequate judgment. So, I hope that anyone interested will take the time to read the whole review in case I've misunderstood the concept behind the restaurant. One thing upfront: I'm not usually a grumpy customer who criticizes everything. And I almost never comment on pricing. But this time I have to: mention the prices and vent my frustration. The long wait in the lobby before someone came and showed us to a table was somewhat unusual for a restaurant of this size. We took off our coats, hung them up in the cloakroom, and stood there for a good 8-10 minutes. Several waiters walked past us without even glancing at us or saying "Good evening." We killed time by looking around: there was plenty to see in the room and on the walls. The beginning was promising: delicious, beautifully presented cocktails served by a friendly waiter. However, the amuse-bouche served by the kitchen was disappointingly unimaginative: cold baguette that tasted like it had been baked from the oven, accompanied by a dollop of olive oil and balsamic vinegar with pepper. Now comes the tricky part. Because: everything that arrived at the table was delicious – none of the dishes were bad or poorly seasoned. But: the restaurant (the prime location, the sophisticated ambiance, the refined style of the menu, the confident pricing) gives the impression of fine dining, yet serves, at best, home-style cooking. Everything is too clunky, too ordinary, too much like "Grandma's" to plausibly justify the price point. Or to put it another way: there was hardly anything at Höfts that I hadn't already cooked for an everyday lunch. No finesse, no creativity, no special presentation, no work of art on the plate, no surprises. When we pay €42 for a roast goose leg with red and green cabbage (excuse the blunt mention of the price, but there's no other way to put it), we expect meticulous craftsmanship and an exceptional culinary experience – all of which are sorely lacking at Höfts. The "Caramelized Beetroot & Brussels Sprouts on Mashed Potatoes topped with a slightly spicy coconut-herb vegetable sauce" consisted of an ordinary purée piled high on the plate, beetroot that was far too thick and haphazardly sliced, simply sweeter than usual but not caramelized, and Brussels sprouts that were at least cooked al dente. The sauce was tasty, but not even remotely spicy and nothing to write home about. The fig-filled ravioli were somewhat more refined (and elegantly presented) – the appetizer was a real treat for the taste buds. The green asparagus should only be served when it's in season, because the two spears were simply sadly mushy. We didn't have room for dessert, as the main courses are—just like Grandma's—very generous. It's a shame, because perhaps a nice dessert could have made up for our poor impression. My conclusion: Perhaps we went to Höfts with the wrong expectations, blinded by its description as "A gourmet restaurant with sophisticated dishes." The restaurant may be an everyday eatery for well-to-do Potsdam residents, for whom a bill of nearly €180 for two cocktails, two appetizers, two main courses, and a bottle of lower-priced red wine (around €40) is commonplace. If overpriced home cooking is Höfts' concept, I should really give it five stars. But if you're expecting out-of-the-box dining, you'll be sorely disappointed. We won't be back. P.S. We were so blown away that I unfortunately forgot to take photos of the main courses, which would have illustrated what I've said above.

Höfts in Villa Kellermann is located at Mangerstr. 34, 14467 Potsdam. It is a very elegant restaurant. The atmosphere is excellent, and the ambiance is lovely. I recently enjoyed several beers and a Wiener Schnitzel there. Both were delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent, and truly excellent. November 15th. Welcome to the Christmas wonderland at Villa Kellermann. Personally, I found the decorations a bit much at this time of year, but other guests may have enjoyed them. Unfortunately, our coats weren't taken. Otherwise, the service was quite attentive. The bread and oil arrived almost simultaneously with the food we ordered. Poor time management. The baguette was mediocre, and even I could have sliced ​​it better. The food (meat and vegetarian) was good, but not outstanding for the price. The ambiance is great. It's a shame it was so empty on a Saturday evening. I've known Villa Kellermann for years and am curious to see if Höfts can maintain its position long-term. It would be desirable, even though some aspects could be improved.

This is really delicious. The waiter was relatively attentive at first, but that quickly deteriorated; wrong drinks, missing ingredients for drinks – unacceptable at these prices.

The food was excellent. The meat and fish dishes were outstanding. The vegetarian options were good, but not exceptional. I found the noise level very pleasant, even though the restaurant was quite busy that evening. I can't say whether this was due to the high ceilings and acoustics or the other guests.

We celebrated our wedding at Villa Kellermann and couldn't be happier with our decision. Planned for a small group of 13 people, the Blue Hall was the perfect choice for us. Communication beforehand was professional and results-oriented. On the wedding day, everything went smoothly: the decor, the planned reception, the food and drinks, as well as the service – everything met our expectations. Our special thanks go to Ms. Höft.

The decor is by Tim Raue, but the food is hoping to keep up, but unfortunately, not. It'll be difficult, as there was nothing going on Friday either.

Oh well, I just expected more. I'm not one for negative reviews. Maybe we just caught a less-than-ideal day. The atmosphere makes up for a lot.

We celebrated our wedding reception at Villa Kellermann on October 2, 2025, with a total of 16 guests – with a champagne reception by the water and the exclusive rental of the Green Salon 1. The ambiance was beautiful, sophisticated, and tranquil – exactly as we had imagined. The communication and planning beforehand with Ms. Gabriele Höft was excellent: efficient, professional, and extremely customer-friendly. The organization of the celebration also ran absolutely smoothly – with attentive service, delicious dishes, and perfect coordination with our individual wishes. We would especially like to emphasize that all dietary restrictions (gluten allergy, vegetarianism, garlic allergy) were carefully considered. The value for money was excellent. We can wholeheartedly and warmly recommend Höfts at Villa Kellermann – especially for weddings or other festive occasions in a stylish setting.

Very exclusive ambiance, attentive service, good food, definitely try the house champagne. Just the way I like it :-)

I was part of a wedding party, and the food and ambiance were truly wonderful! However, only one member of staff was scheduled for service, which meant everything took a very long time because he was simply overworked. (He was still very friendly, though.) For an event like this, which is predictable, this was an absolute no-go! Furthermore, previously agreed arrangements, which were communicated several times via email, were not kept. For example, there were no canapés for the champagne reception—at these prices, one would expect a bit more service and comfort.

Thank you for a wonderful evening! We celebrated my husband's birthday here with friends from Spain. Thanks to a reservation and thoughtful management, we got a wonderful table overlooking the garden and lake. The ambiance and overall atmosphere in the villa were dreamy! We were all thrilled with the starter, main course, and dessert. Delicious and beautifully presented. The service was also consistently excellent. Attentive, extremely friendly, and accommodating. Excellent value for money, and dining in such an impressive venue is a privilege. Highly recommended!!!

We ended our last evening in beautiful Potsdam with a meal here. I wanted to order something that was still on the menu at Raue. What we ordered tasted very good, too. Combined with the view and the ambiance, it was a perfect evening.

I'm not used to fine dining, but considering that you pay €3-5 more for a main course than in a "regular" restaurant, I think it's worth it. The main course was particularly impressive, the starter was good, and the dessert was also truly delicious. Both the fitting interior design and the ambiance on the terrace with its fantastic view of the lake make this restaurant a unique place, in my opinion.

We spent a wonderful evening in the Höft's garden, and everything was perfect. We had reserved a table and could choose whether we wanted to sit on the terrace or downstairs in the garden. An attentive welcome, as was the subsequent service; nothing was lacking, and the food was both delicious and visually stunning! The most beautiful place in Potsdam to spend a magical evening. I rarely write reviews, but Höfts simply deserves high praise: the food was absolutely unbeatable in terms of value for money, the service was unobtrusively professional, and the location, with tables in the garden by the lake, was world-class, especially on a balmy summer evening. Please go, see for yourself, and help ensure that this gem remains with Potsdam and Berlin for many years to come.

A very pleasant ambiance and a very friendly, dedicated service team. The food is good, but could be improved given the above-average price level.

The view of the Heiligen See is beautiful. But that was the only good thing. The price for the food and wine is far too high for the quality you get. Main courses costing over €30 can be had downtown for much tastier food for €20. That was a disappointment. We had to wait over 1.5 hours for our main course, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Price/performance ratio is a maximum of 4/10. I wouldn't come here again, except for a coffee :)

Fabulous location, food and service!

The location is stunning, with a view of the lake if you're lucky enough to be seated on the terrace or balcony. However, these requests aren't accommodated when making reservations. Unfortunately, the staff is understaffed. We waited half an hour for a soda, and the food arrived after 2.5 hours. These wait times are unacceptable, but the service can't keep up; they constantly have to apologize to the guests. Ultimately, they become so overwhelmed that they give monosyllabic, monotonous answers, and the restaurant manager himself rolls his eyes at an 80-year-old birthday guest who asks for a vase for his birthday bouquet, even after 40 minutes. This dampens the mood so much, especially in warmer temperatures when you can't get any drinks, that this place is unfortunately not recommended. It can even take the first 30 minutes before anyone even takes your order. Some guests have already left. It's a real shame about this wonderful, elegant place.

A super nice, inviting atmosphere right on the lake. The beef tartare is highly recommended. The service was very courteous and attentive.

We were a group of seven people, had a reservation at 7 p.m., and a magnificent table with a view over the "Holy Lake." The garden was very busy on a Thursday and eventually filled up, and we felt like the staff was completely overwhelmed – hence the point deduction. We waited about 15 minutes to even get the menu – during which time the appetizers arrived at our table, which of course weren't ours. We asked the waiter twice to order, and it worked the third time. The appetizers arrived quite quickly – I highly recommend the beetroot carpaccio. The main courses all arrived at the same time, but some were lukewarm – including my duck. When we ordered wine, two wines on the list were sold out – and the delivery never arrived. We were often left without a drink – unfortunately, the wine was refilled very late. If we'd known where our bottle was, we would have done it ourselves. In the evening, it cooled down a bit, and we all received blankets. In summary: The location itself is simply TOP, the food is good but for the price we/I would have expected more, and the staff also needs to improve a bit.

We were at Höft on Whit Monday, and I had made a reservation for the family (six people) because we thought the ambiance and food were very nice the previous times we were there, and the price was more than reasonable. What awaited us at Whitsun was shocking. Firstly, there was no breakfast, even though we knew it was included on the breakfast menu. Secondly, there was a completely new menu with completely different prices. For example, a Wiener schnitzel cost €36 instead of the usual €22. I think that's a real shame, because the ambiance and service were great. It's a shame, but we probably won't be coming back.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. The service was friendly, but the wait times for drinks and food were unacceptable given the prices. Drinks had to be reordered several times because they were forgotten. The food also arrived significantly late, more than an hour, so unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars.

We went to Höfts with the family today and are honestly disappointed. The location on the Heiligen See is truly beautiful, but unfortunately, there were a few criticisms that meant we probably won't be back. At the high prices, you'd expect a certain level of food quality, but some of the dishes were bland, arrived cold, and simply not tasty. Such unpleasant, gritty mashed potatoes are a real challenge! The burgers could have been better at any delivery service – they were dark brown toasted, barely garnished, and presented rather carelessly, and for the price, it was almost outrageous. Unfortunately, the service took an incredibly long time and was totally uncoordinated (several people arrived at the table at the same time, and one hand didn't know what to do with the other), which meant our stay dragged on for hours. Our reservation started at 12:00 p.m., and by 3:30 p.m., not all of the lunches were on the table. Random drinks arrived that none of us had ordered, and they were simply placed on the table as if to say, "Have one now." Fine dining definitely doesn't do this—I'm honestly shocked.

Beautiful location, but the food isn't good. The Crémant Rosé is too weak, not elegant, and the chocolate ice cream: no go. It's not that hard to buy good food for these prices. The Thomasa problem is always: too much of everything, but the quality is simply not there. The service is also just a mixed bag. It's a shame; they could do better.

First visit with the new setup. The team is still new, but trying hard. It'll be fine. The location is still worthy of a World Heritage Site. Keep it up. We'll be back.

A very tastefully decorated and high-quality restaurant. Very good food and cakes. But also with reasonable prices. The service seems professional, but can quickly become overwhelmed with larger groups. A very nice place for 2-3 people if you're near the Glienicke Bridge.

The price structure in the restaurant industry has exploded across the board—for whatever reasons mentioned. This fact is not the subject of this review. Rather, this villa impresses with its impressive rooms and exceptional location directly on the shores of the Holy Lake. As a guest, you are immediately captivated. The team is led by a very friendly restaurant manager and, despite a perceived shortage of staff, manages to serve guests promptly and courteously. The menu is varied. Unfortunately, breakfast/brunch is no longer offered—why, is that? The fact that, for example, the yeast dumpling is a convenience product and an ice-cold aquavit is missing is, however, bearable. The kitchen serves impeccable dishes with fresh ingredients in appropriate portions. Fine drinks are a given. The meal is accompanied by a stunning view of the lake and a pleasantly subdued background noise in the dining room. During our visit, we later noticed upon leaving the premises that the cloakroom (provided at the entrance) smelled faintly of kitchen fumes. This should be remedied. A visit is definitely recommended and makes you want to spend time on the terrace in the summer.

Man kann es wirklich NUR empfehlen.....wir sind ehrlich gesagt froh, das es kein 5 Sterne Restaurant mehr ist. Wir waren in einer grösseren Gruppe da , ALLE waren SEHR zufrieden ! Das Essen war gut und lecker... ...auch die Vegetarier die dabei waren, waren zufrieden! Der Service war charmant - leger und aufmerksam ! Wir kommen WIEDER!! Lieben Gruss aus Hamburg.

Great restaurant with a view of the Marble Palace

We're disappointed. The ambiance and the view of the Heiligen See are unbeatable. However, I've been greeted more warmly at most kebab shops than at Höfts. The staff is overwhelmed. It took about an hour for us to order our main course. We got cold pasta with lentils for the Stadt Pasta Bolognese. The steak, which we ordered medium, was cooked through and dry. When we pointed this out, the waiter, who identified himself as the restaurant manager, reacted rudely. The remaining dishes were generally okay. The service isn't excused by the fact that this isn't Michelin-starred cuisine. You can enjoy much better, friendlier, and more professional service at most restaurants in Potsdam that are significantly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give the restaurant another chance in a year, when the team will hopefully have settled in better. I would recommend that owners and staff dine at the following restaurants to be inspired by their hospitality and service quality: - Ristorante Ciao, Wannsee - Pizza Toscana, Griebnitzsee - Kengs Landhaus, Potsdam Jägerallee

Fantastic, unique atmosphere. The food is solidly rustic, the service is friendly. The prices are justified at this unique location. Apparently some guests have not yet realized that a new owner is at work here with a fresh concept and that star cuisine is not being served...

Unfortunately I can only give this 3 stars. The idea of ​​making the restaurant accessible to a broader target group is great. The team is very hard working and the menu is varied. However, expectations are high when you order around €30 for a main course. And unfortunately you will be rather disappointed. However, big praise for the kitchen team - despite the large event, the food came quickly and everything was served together.

The restaurant and the surrounding area are really beautiful and make a very good impression at first glance. Unfortunately, the rest of our visit didn't quite keep up. The “homemade” lemonade consisted of syrup. The food didn't convince us either. The schnitzel was more reminiscent of on-board restaurant quality. The distribution of seats in the courtyard was also a bit unfortunate. All tables on the already shady side had parasols, while many places on the sunny side were completely unprotected in the sun. When I politely asked, they said I had to ask a colleague - unfortunately we didn't receive any response. When a table in the shade became available, we finally moved there ourselves. The waiting times were also long. Half an hour before we received the menus and almost an hour before we could pay. Overall, our visit unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. We can't imagine another visit.

An unforgettable evening in the Höfts restaurant in the Villa Kellermann! The stylish ambience of this historic house wonderfully combines classic elegance with modern comfort. From the first moment we were warmly welcomed and accompanied throughout the evening - the service was attentive, competent and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. From a culinary point of view, the visit was a real experience. Every dish was perfectly coordinated, prepared with attention to detail and tasted excellent. Particularly noteworthy are the sophisticated combinations of regional ingredients with international flair - a homage to modern German cuisine at the highest level. The wine pairing was also excellent and rounded off the menu perfectly. The Höfts restaurant in Villa Kellermann is a place where you don't just go out to eat - you enjoy, discover and feel completely at home. Highly recommended for everyone who appreciates cuisine and atmosphere in equal measure.

First of all, the location is incomparable, the food has little to do with the old Villa Kellermann but is solid, but you also pay for the location. Service was friendly and accommodating. But please also include normal water and mineral water on the menu. Tap water or sparkling tap water is OK, but you should have the choice and it should be reflected in the costs. I'd love to come back. Otherwise, a breakfast option on the weekend would be great, especially in summer.

What a beautiful restaurant, located directly on the “Holy Lake”. We were served by far the best food, the taste and the way the plates were arranged was first class. Everything was right, welcome, service, food, drinks and it was also great to sit outside under the umbrellas. The nice staff opened a side door for us as we had a wheelchair user with us, from the hallway in which you are then you go to them barrier-free toilets and with an elevator directly to the restaurant, also barrier-free. If I could give more stars, I would. We would love to come back.

Location great, food flop! You really have to say that the villa is beautiful, the service is nice and it's worth a visit - but only for drinks. I ordered a salad with "fresh strawberries and asparagus" for €20 and it had exactly one (!!!) chopped strawberry on it and a stick of white asparagus (and a little green), plus nachos from the bag with sour cream. Incredible. The prices are so high (the salad was pretty much the cheapest dish) that you can and should really expect more. Very unfortunate.

We were there on Easter Sunday with 6 people and had reserved. We were able to sit in the beautiful outdoor area and with a wheelchair user this was also very possible (including in the toilet area). The staff was very pleasant and the food was incredibly tasty. Highly recommended. A gluten-free diet is also no problem. We would definitely like to come back 👍😍

When getting there, there were initially problems finding the right restaurant because the new owner runs the restaurant as Tomasa, but when searching for "Tomasa Potsdam" only Tomasa on Kurfürstenstr. is found and not this one. The ambience is of course unbeatable, right on the lake with a large garden, an impressive villa and a beautiful view. However, we waited for three quarters of an hour to be served. After the food was on the table after 2 hours, we were quite satisfied. In terms of taste, everything was of a good standard, but a bit too expensive in terms of price-performance ratio. 36€ for a schnitzel with fried potatoes is already steep, and 13€ for an asparagus soup à la Knorr is too much. When it came to dessert, I was quite disappointed with the “Kellermann Eiswunder”. For €12, only a ball of "pink marshmallow" (inedible and not on the menu) was served in a chocolate bowl (cheap chocolate) with cream and hardly any sauce. In retrospect, I would have preferred 2 balls for 3€ each and would have been much happier for half the price.

Went to Höft's today for the "Easter brunch" and were very disappointed. We had already had breakfast there once and were satisfied, which is why we came here again. Today we had a cake stand for €49, supposedly for two people and that was a complete rip-off! There was an egg (scrambled egg), a piece of bacon, a bratwurst, a small piece of salmon and a piece of butter for two. No trace of the advertised sausage, ham or cheese. Exactly one for each Rolls and a small portion of fruit. The entire cake stand was just enough for one person and the sparkling wine that came with it had to be asked for several times. For the 4 of us it was a disappointment and we don't normally go there...

Overpriced, for 28 euro main dishes you expect at least a bit of sophistication, preparation very ordinary and nothing special. It also tastes pretty mediocre. Desserts not good, dry yeast dumplings. View fantastic, but that's all.

Update: Wiener Schnitzel increased to €37. Are you crazy? Unfortunately, the kitchen and service are just ok in this great establishment. Had to return food, was neither apologized for what was on the house nor was I informed of what was going to happen.

Super chic shop with friendly and thoughtful staff and good value for money. When it comes to the food, the finishing touch is missing in order to fully meet the expectations that the ambience arouses. But I'll definitely come back and see how things develop.

The food doesn't match the prices charged for it, even though the owner repeatedly describes that they are a star restaurant, they have kept the prices the same. I've never had such a bad burger. The meat was fried to death, put together carelessly, a tomato, a leaf of iceberg lettuce and the bun was completely ignored. You really pay for the surroundings and not the food.

The cellars are still in the discovery phase

We were at Villa Kellermann again. But only because the operators reported back to the last review. Unfortunately we have to say that the food has gotten even worse and the service has also gotten much worse. The ambience is great, Tim Raue did it better. We know 100 percent that a former three star cooked there over Christmas 2024. The geese were great on December 25th, 2024, homemade red cabbage. The game goulash was so excellent. You can now taste that nothing is made in-house anymore. You don't have to cook a star in the villa, Raue doesn't have one either. But you should try fine German cuisine with regional products.

Food is good overall, but clearly too expensive for what you get (e.g. schnitzel 22 euros WITHOUT ANY side dishes). The concept tries to be down-to-earth and open to everyone - but the price-performance ratio doesn't match that.

We knew that Tim Raue didn't cook anymore, but there were such simple dishes that tasted so incredibly boring. Unseasoned. Unimaginative. The ingredients don't go together. Dry bread with canned avocado spread and tomato pieces without seasoning. My children can prepare this better. Beetroot with hummus! Why just why? Raviolis with a fat in fat sauce, everything failed in terms of taste. The beautiful location of Villa Kellermann is too good for that. It almost hurts to say, we won't eat there again. One or two guests have already written about it. Villa Kellermann simply doesn't match the food and service. The house, the garden, and the rooms are very special, but neither the service nor the food match. The fact that they don't take your coat at the beginning isn't particularly tragic, but it does show how little attention to detail the staff have. The martini was lukewarm, and instead of the requested lemon, we were given olives in our glasses. My main course, a beef fillet with Brussels sprouts and fries, was only partially edible. I ordered the beef fillet medium, but received it rare. The Brussels sprouts were more than firm to the bite. The plate was removed, and I waited quite a long time. A new, much smaller piece of meat was served. However, the pepperoni was no longer on the plate, and the meat was unfortunately just as bloody as before. The Brussels sprouts were a little more cooked, but still not tasty. The gravy was absolutely disastrous; it was completely tasteless. There was no apology, and my dessert, which cost €13, also contained whipped cream – unbelievable for a restaurant in such a location. The raspberry foam splattered on the plate like a pile…! The plates were passed across the table, as if there had been enough room for the waiter to the right of the guest. The staff didn't say a word as we left, and so the story comes full circle. Very disappointing service. The staff simply lacks the training or a person with a sense of what kind of service a place like this needs. We will certainly not be visiting the Höft again. This place deserves much more sophisticated cuisine and much better service.

The ambiance is great if you're well seated (we weren't). Despite reservations and consistently free tables that weren't close together, we were only able to sit in the very back room behind the door. The supposedly large reservation didn't actually exist. We were often overlooked despite a high level of consumption (5 people). That's not acceptable, and neither is the service. We each ordered three courses, but it would have been considerably more if the service had paid attention to us and made a bit of an effort. The service was simple! The food was okay, but not a culinary delight. Don't bother with the pasta, as it comes prepared like it's in a cafeteria and tastes like a kid's meal. If you want drinks, like a non-alcoholic shandy, you have to mix it yourself, seriously! It's best not to ask for wine advice. A shame, and a lesson learned.

Noble restaurant with extremely friendly service and a good selection of dishes. The selection of breakfast dishes is particularly recommended, but the rest of the menu also leaves no wish unfulfilled. A very upscale atmosphere and beautiful rooms complete the whole thing. We would love to come back.

The most beautiful place to eat in Berlin/Potsdam. The rest has become simpler since the change, but it's still good. Anyone who has bad thoughts in this beautiful setting can't be helped. I thank the Tomasa team for keeping this place open to the public and wish them much success.

Wonderful - a well-kept dinner at sunset by the lake.

We are here for the second time now. Once for dinner and once for coffee and cake, which then just became coffee. First I'll start with the only positive thing. The ambience is very nice. It's really great indoors and outdoors in the sun. Now to actually everything else: The service is totally disorganized and lacks motivation. Only one waiter seems to make a good impression. Ready our first visit was very disappointing. When we arrived at our reserved and set table, a glass was already filled with water. Some of the cutlery was dirty. The food came very, very late, but not everything. One person received nothing. The ingredients of each dish were completely different than what was stated on the menu. E.g. Did you use parsley instead of rosemary? Visit 1 was therefore sad. Really great value for money. On our second visit we wanted to give Höfts a second chance. We ordered a cola and a hot chocolate from the first waiter. Afterwards three more waiters came and each asked if we were ready. Actually positive, because it was a sign that they wanted to serve us. Unfortunately we waited 30 minutes for the drinks until it turned out that the order had been forgotten. Now we ordered a cake for €5. This also came very quickly, but the piece was a joke. Totally small and looked like pre-made cake. Since that was too stupid for us, we returned it. We weren't offered a new piece either. The second chance is therefore wasted. Waited forever for the food, the tartare is a joke, no warm food, no hot tea, Brussels sprouts cold on the inside and cold on the outside when they reach the table, mashed potatoes cold and unsalted, 6 dishes, one can't even arrive, everything came individually, no pepper or salt on the table, cutlery not refilled, lots of empty tea lights on the table, table for 6 ordered and set for 8, Viennese goulash was soup with 7 pieces of pork, no recommendation, just that Waiter understood German, no attentive staff, had the table at 5:30 p.m. and were ready for dinner and then shortly after 8 p.m., my advice, go somewhere else and then look at the prices

The food was good and the place has an amazing view and is cozy. What wasn’t the best part of the experience was an hour long waiting for our meals. Then when we asked for the bill they hadn’t brought it until we asked again. Over half of the staff doesn’t speak English so we had no idea if they were sorry for the inconveniences or not. Nice restaurant but there’s probably a lack of communication between the management and the staff and between the staff itself.
