Villa Kellermann in Potsdam

We celebrated our wedding reception at Villa Kellermann on October 2, 2025, with a total of 16 guests – with a champagne reception by the water and the exclusive rental of the Green Salon 1. The ambiance was beautiful, sophisticated, and tranquil – exactly as we had imagined. The communication and planning beforehand with Ms. Gabriele Höft was excellent: efficient, professional, and extremely customer-friendly. The organization of the celebration also ran absolutely smoothly – with attentive service, delicious dishes, and perfect coordination with our individual wishes. We would especially like to emphasize that all dietary restrictions (gluten allergy, vegetarianism, garlic allergy) were carefully considered. The value for money was excellent. We can wholeheartedly and warmly recommend Höfts at Villa Kellermann – especially for weddings or other festive occasions in a stylish setting.

Very exclusive ambiance, attentive service, good food, definitely try the house champagne. Just the way I like it :-)

A beautiful evening, spontaneously planned and wonderful

I was part of a wedding party, and the food and ambiance were truly wonderful! However, only one member of staff was scheduled for service, which meant everything took a very long time because he was simply overworked. (He was still very friendly, though.) For an event like this, which is predictable, this was an absolute no-go! Furthermore, previously agreed arrangements, which were communicated several times via email, were not kept. For example, there were no canapés for the champagne reception—at these prices, one would expect a bit more service and comfort.

It's important for the Höft team to update this profile on Google Maps. Anything related to Tim Raue must be removed from this profile, otherwise misunderstandings will constantly arise.

Thank you for a wonderful evening! We celebrated my husband's birthday here with friends from Spain. Thanks to a reservation and thoughtful management, we got a wonderful table overlooking the garden and lake. The ambiance and overall atmosphere in the villa were dreamy! We were all thrilled with the starter, main course, and dessert. Delicious and beautifully presented. The service was also consistently excellent. Attentive, extremely friendly, and accommodating. Excellent value for money, and dining in such an impressive venue is a privilege. Highly recommended!!!

We ended our last evening in beautiful Potsdam with a meal here. I wanted to order something that was still on the menu at Raue. What we ordered tasted very good, too. Combined with the view and the ambiance, it was a perfect evening.

I'm not used to fine dining, but considering that you pay €3-5 more for a main course than in a "regular" restaurant, I think it's worth it. The main course was particularly impressive, the starter was good, and the dessert was also truly delicious. Both the fitting interior design and the ambiance on the terrace with its fantastic view of the lake make this restaurant a unique place, in my opinion.

An attentive welcome, as was the subsequent service; nothing was lacking, and the food was both delicious and visually stunning! The most beautiful place in Potsdam to spend a magical evening. I rarely write reviews, but Höfts simply deserves high praise: the food was absolutely unbeatable in terms of value for money, the service was unobtrusively professional, and the location, with tables in the garden by the lake, was world-class, especially on a balmy summer evening. Please go, see for yourself, and help ensure that this gem remains with Potsdam and Berlin for many years to come.

A very pleasant ambiance and a very friendly, dedicated service team. The food is good, but could be improved given the above-average price level.

The view of the Heiligen See is beautiful. But that was the only good thing. The price for the food and wine is far too high for the quality you get. Main courses costing over €30 can be had downtown for much tastier food for €20. That was a disappointment. We had to wait over 1.5 hours for our main course, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Price/performance ratio is a maximum of 4/10. I wouldn't come here again, except for a coffee :)

Fabulous location, food and service!

The location is stunning, with a view of the lake if you're lucky enough to be seated on the terrace or balcony. However, these requests aren't accommodated when making reservations. Unfortunately, the staff is understaffed. We waited half an hour for a soda, and the food arrived after 2.5 hours. These wait times are unacceptable, but the service can't keep up; they constantly have to apologize to the guests. Ultimately, they become so overwhelmed that they give monosyllabic, monotonous answers, and the restaurant manager himself rolls his eyes at an 80-year-old birthday guest who asks for a vase for his birthday bouquet, even after 40 minutes. This dampens the mood so much, especially in warmer temperatures when you can't get any drinks, that this place is unfortunately not recommended. It can even take the first 30 minutes before anyone even takes your order. Some guests have already left. It's a real shame about this wonderful, elegant place.

A super nice, inviting atmosphere right on the lake. The beef tartare is highly recommended. The service was very courteous and attentive.

We were a group of seven people, had a reservation at 7 p.m., and a magnificent table with a view over the "Holy Lake." The garden was very busy on a Thursday and eventually filled up, and we felt like the staff was completely overwhelmed – hence the point deduction. We waited about 15 minutes to even get the menu – during which time the appetizers arrived at our table, which of course weren't ours. We asked the waiter twice to order, and it worked the third time. The appetizers arrived quite quickly – I highly recommend the beetroot carpaccio. The main courses all arrived at the same time, but some were lukewarm – including my duck. When we ordered wine, two wines on the list were sold out – and the delivery never arrived. We were often left without a drink – unfortunately, the wine was refilled very late. If we'd known where our bottle was, we would have done it ourselves. In the evening, it cooled down a bit, and we all received blankets. In summary: The location itself is simply TOP, the food is good but for the price we/I would have expected more, and the staff also needs to improve a bit.

We were at Höft on Whit Monday, and I had made a reservation for the family (six people) because we thought the ambiance and food were very nice the previous times we were there, and the price was more than reasonable. What awaited us at Whitsun was shocking. Firstly, there was no breakfast, even though we knew it was included on the breakfast menu. Secondly, there was a completely new menu with completely different prices. For example, a Wiener schnitzel cost €36 instead of the usual €22. I think that's a real shame, because the ambiance and service were great. It's a shame, but we probably won't be coming back.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. The service was friendly, but the wait times for drinks and food were unacceptable given the prices. Drinks had to be reordered several times because they were forgotten. The food also arrived significantly late, more than an hour, so unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars.

We went to Höfts with the family today and are honestly disappointed. The location on the Heiligen See is truly beautiful, but unfortunately, there were a few criticisms that meant we probably won't be back. At the high prices, you'd expect a certain level of food quality, but some of the dishes were bland, arrived cold, and simply not tasty. Such unpleasant, gritty mashed potatoes are a real challenge! The burgers could have been better at any delivery service – they were dark brown toasted, barely garnished, and presented rather carelessly, and for the price, it was almost outrageous. Unfortunately, the service took an incredibly long time and was totally uncoordinated (several people arrived at the table at the same time, and one hand didn't know what to do with the other), which meant our stay dragged on for hours. Our reservation started at 12:00 p.m., and by 3:30 p.m., not all of the lunches were on the table. Random drinks arrived that none of us had ordered, and they were simply placed on the table as if to say, "Have one now." Fine dining definitely doesn't do this—I'm honestly shocked.

Beautiful location, but the food isn't good. The Crémant Rosé is too weak, not elegant, and the chocolate ice cream: no go. It's not that hard to buy good food for these prices. The Thomasa problem is always: too much of everything, but the quality is simply not there. The service is also just a mixed bag. It's a shame; they could do better.

First visit with the new setup. The team is still new, but trying hard. It'll be fine. The location is still worthy of a World Heritage Site. Keep it up. We'll be back.

The price structure in the restaurant industry has exploded across the board—for whatever reasons mentioned. This fact is not the subject of this review. Rather, this villa impresses with its impressive rooms and exceptional location directly on the shores of the Holy Lake. As a guest, you are immediately captivated. The team is led by a very friendly restaurant manager and, despite a perceived shortage of staff, manages to serve guests promptly and courteously. The menu is varied. Unfortunately, breakfast/brunch is no longer offered—why, is that? The fact that, for example, the yeast dumpling is a convenience product and an ice-cold aquavit is missing is, however, bearable. The kitchen serves impeccable dishes with fresh ingredients in appropriate portions. Fine drinks are a given. The meal is accompanied by a stunning view of the lake and a pleasantly subdued background noise in the dining room. During our visit, we later noticed upon leaving the premises that the cloakroom (provided at the entrance) smelled faintly of kitchen fumes. This should be remedied. A visit is definitely recommended and makes you want to spend time on the terrace in the summer.

Danke für einen wundervollen Abend am 23.05.25 . Mit gemütlichen Decken konnte man auch länger bequem draussen sitzen. ...mit Blick auf dem See bis um Mitternacht. Unfassbar Idyllisch !!! Natur pur. Man kann es wirklich NUR empfehlen.....wir sind ehrlich gesagt froh, das es kein 5 Sterne Restaurant mehr ist. Wir waren in einer grösseren Gruppe da , ALLE waren SEHR zufrieden ! Das Essen war gut und lecker... ...auch die Vegetarier die dabei waren, waren zufrieden! Der Service war charmant - leger und aufmerksam ! Wir kommen WIEDER!! Lieben Gruss aus Hamburg.

We're disappointed. The ambiance and the view of the Heiligen See are unbeatable. However, I've been greeted more warmly at most kebab shops than at Höfts. The staff is overwhelmed. It took about an hour for us to order our main course. We got cold pasta with lentils for the Stadt Pasta Bolognese. The steak, which we ordered medium, was cooked through and dry. When we pointed this out, the waiter, who identified himself as the restaurant manager, reacted rudely. The remaining dishes were generally okay. The service isn't excused by the fact that this isn't Michelin-starred cuisine. You can enjoy much better, friendlier, and more professional service at most restaurants in Potsdam that are significantly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give the restaurant another chance in a year, when the team will hopefully have settled in better. I would recommend that owners and staff dine at the following restaurants to be inspired by their hospitality and service quality: - Ristorante Ciao, Wannsee - Pizza Toscana, Griebnitzsee - Kengs Landhaus, Potsdam Jägerallee

Fantastic, unique atmosphere. The food is solidly rustic, the service is friendly. The prices are justified at this unique location. Apparently some guests have not yet realized that a new owner is at work here with a fresh concept and that star cuisine is not being served...

Unfortunately I can only give this 3 stars. The idea of ​​making the restaurant accessible to a broader target group is great. The team is very hard working and the menu is varied. However, expectations are high when you order around €30 for a main course. And unfortunately you will be rather disappointed. However, big praise for the kitchen team - despite the large event, the food came quickly and everything was served together.

The restaurant and the surrounding area are really beautiful and make a very good impression at first glance. Unfortunately, the rest of our visit didn't quite keep up. The “homemade” lemonade consisted of syrup. The food didn't convince us either. The schnitzel was more reminiscent of on-board restaurant quality. The distribution of seats in the courtyard was also a bit unfortunate. All tables on the already shady side had parasols, while many places on the sunny side were completely unprotected in the sun. When I politely asked, they said I had to ask a colleague - unfortunately we didn't receive any response. When a table in the shade became available, we finally moved there ourselves. The waiting times were also long. Half an hour before we received the menus and almost an hour before we could pay. Overall, our visit unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. We can't imagine another visit.

An unforgettable evening in the Höfts restaurant in the Villa Kellermann! The stylish ambience of this historic house wonderfully combines classic elegance with modern comfort. From the first moment we were warmly welcomed and accompanied throughout the evening - the service was attentive, competent and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. From a culinary point of view, the visit was a real experience. Every dish was perfectly coordinated, prepared with attention to detail and tasted excellent. Particularly noteworthy are the sophisticated combinations of regional ingredients with international flair - a homage to modern German cuisine at the highest level. The wine pairing was also excellent and rounded off the menu perfectly. The Höfts restaurant in Villa Kellermann is a place where you don't just go out to eat - you enjoy, discover and feel completely at home. Highly recommended for everyone who appreciates cuisine and atmosphere in equal measure.

First of all, the location is incomparable, the food has little to do with the old Villa Kellermann but is solid, but you also pay for the location. Service was friendly and accommodating. But please also include normal water and mineral water on the menu. Tap water or sparkling tap water is OK, but you should have the choice and it should be reflected in the costs. I'd love to come back. Otherwise, a breakfast option on the weekend would be great, especially in summer.

Location great, food flop! You really have to say that the villa is beautiful, the service is nice and it's worth a visit - but only for drinks. I ordered a salad with "fresh strawberries and asparagus" for €20 and it had exactly one (!!!) chopped strawberry on it and a stick of white asparagus (and a little green), plus nachos from the bag with sour cream. Incredible. The prices are so high (the salad was pretty much the cheapest dish) that you can and should really expect more. Very unfortunate.

What a beautiful restaurant, located directly on the “Holy Lake”. We were served by far the best food, the taste and the way the plates were arranged was first class. Everything was right, welcome, service, food, drinks and it was also great to sit outside under the umbrellas. The nice staff opened a side door for us as we had a wheelchair user with us, from the hallway in which you are then you go to them barrier-free toilets and with an elevator directly to the restaurant, also barrier-free. If I could give more stars, I would. We would love to come back.

We were there on Easter Sunday with 6 people and had reserved. We were able to sit in the beautiful outdoor area and with a wheelchair user this was also very possible (including in the toilet area). The staff was very pleasant and the food was incredibly tasty. Highly recommended. A gluten-free diet is also no problem. We would definitely like to come back 👍😍

Went to Höft's today for the "Easter brunch" and were very disappointed. We had already had breakfast there once and were satisfied, which is why we came here again. Today we had a cake stand for €49, supposedly for two people and that was a complete rip-off! There was an egg (scrambled egg), a piece of bacon, a bratwurst, a small piece of salmon and a piece of butter for two. No trace of the advertised sausage, ham or cheese. Exactly one for each Rolls and a small portion of fruit. The entire cake stand was just enough for one person and the sparkling wine that came with it had to be asked for several times. For the 4 of us it was a disappointment and we don't normally go there...

When getting there, there were initially problems finding the right restaurant because the new owner runs the restaurant as Tomasa, but when searching for "Tomasa Potsdam" only Tomasa on Kurfürstenstr. is found and not this one. The ambience is of course unbeatable, right on the lake with a large garden, an impressive villa and a beautiful view. However, we waited for three quarters of an hour to be served. After the food was on the table after 2 hours, we were quite satisfied. In terms of taste, everything was of a good standard, but a bit too expensive in terms of price-performance ratio. 36€ for a schnitzel with fried potatoes is already steep, and 13€ for an asparagus soup à la Knorr is too much. When it came to dessert, I was quite disappointed with the “Kellermann Eiswunder”. For €12, only a ball of "pink marshmallow" (inedible and not on the menu) was served in a chocolate bowl (cheap chocolate) with cream and hardly any sauce. In retrospect, I would have preferred 2 balls for 3€ each and would have been much happier for half the price.

Overpriced, for 28 euro main dishes you expect at least a bit of sophistication, preparation very ordinary and nothing special. It also tastes pretty mediocre. Desserts not good, dry yeast dumplings. View fantastic, but that's all.

Update: Wiener Schnitzel increased to €37. Are you crazy? Unfortunately, the kitchen and service are just ok in this great establishment. Had to return food, was neither apologized for what was on the house nor was I informed of what was going to happen.

Super chic shop with friendly and thoughtful staff and good value for money. When it comes to the food, the finishing touch is missing in order to fully meet the expectations that the ambience arouses. But I'll definitely come back and see how things develop.

The food doesn't match the prices charged for it, even though the owner repeatedly describes that they are a star restaurant, they have kept the prices the same. I've never had such a bad burger. The meat was fried to death, put together carelessly, a tomato, a leaf of iceberg lettuce and the bun was completely ignored. You really pay for the surroundings and not the food.

We were at Villa Kellermann again. But only because the operators reported back to the last review. Unfortunately we have to say that the food has gotten even worse and the service has also gotten much worse. The ambience is great, Tim Raue did it better. We know 100 percent that a former three star cooked there over Christmas 2024. The geese were great on December 25th, 2024, homemade red cabbage. The game goulash was so excellent. You can now taste that nothing is made in-house anymore. You don't have to cook a star in the villa, Raue doesn't have one either. But you should try fine German cuisine with regional products.

Food is good overall, but clearly too expensive for what you get (e.g. schnitzel 22 euros WITHOUT ANY side dishes). The concept tries to be down-to-earth and open to everyone - but the price-performance ratio doesn't match that.

Unfortunately unfortunately unfortunately only slightly upscale canteen food is now served in this dream setting. We didn't have high expectations. We knew that Tim Raue didn't cook anymore, but there were such simple dishes that tasted so incredibly boring. Unseasoned. Unimaginative. The ingredients don't go together. Dry bread with canned avocado spread and tomato pieces without seasoning. My children can prepare this better. Beetroot with hummus! Why just why? Raviolis with a fat in fat sauce, everything failed in terms of taste. The beautiful location of Villa Kellermann is too good for that. It almost hurts to say, we won't eat there again. The ambiance is great if you're well seated (we weren't). Despite reservations and consistently free tables that weren't close together, we were only able to sit in the very back room behind the door. The supposedly large reservation didn't actually exist. We were often overlooked despite a high level of consumption (5 people). That's not acceptable, and neither is the service. We each ordered three courses, but it would have been considerably more if the service had paid attention to us and made a bit of an effort. The service was simple! The food was okay, but not a culinary delight. Don't bother with the pasta, as it comes prepared like it's in a cafeteria and tastes like a kid's meal. If you want drinks, like a non-alcoholic shandy, you have to mix it yourself, seriously! It's best not to ask for wine advice. A shame, and a lesson learned.

One or two guests have already written about it. Villa Kellermann simply doesn't match the food and service. The house, the garden, and the rooms are very special, but neither the service nor the food match. The fact that they don't take your coat at the beginning isn't particularly tragic, but it does show how little attention to detail the staff have. The martini was lukewarm, and instead of the requested lemon, we were given olives in our glasses. My main course, a beef fillet with Brussels sprouts and fries, was only partially edible. I ordered the beef fillet medium, but received it rare. The Brussels sprouts were more than firm to the bite. The plate was removed, and I waited quite a long time. A new, much smaller piece of meat was served. However, the pepperoni was no longer on the plate, and the meat was unfortunately just as bloody as before. The Brussels sprouts were a little more cooked, but still not tasty. The gravy was absolutely disastrous; it was completely tasteless. There was no apology, and my dessert, which cost €13, also contained whipped cream – unbelievable for a restaurant in such a location. The raspberry foam splattered on the plate like a pile…! The plates were passed across the table, as if there had been enough room for the waiter to the right of the guest. The staff didn't say a word as we left, and so the story comes full circle. Very disappointing service. The staff simply lacks the training or a person with a sense of what kind of service a place like this needs. We will certainly not be visiting the Höft again. This place deserves much more sophisticated cuisine and much better service.

Noble restaurant with extremely friendly service and a good selection of dishes. The selection of breakfast dishes is particularly recommended, but the rest of the menu also leaves no wish unfulfilled. A very upscale atmosphere and beautiful rooms complete the whole thing. We would love to come back.

The most beautiful place to eat in Berlin/Potsdam. The rest has become simpler since the change, but it's still good. Anyone who has bad thoughts in this beautiful setting can't be helped. I thank the Tomasa team for keeping this place open to the public and wish them much success.

Wonderful - a well-kept dinner at sunset by the lake.

We are here for the second time now. Once for dinner and once for coffee and cake, which then just became coffee. First I'll start with the only positive thing. The ambience is very nice. It's really great indoors and outdoors in the sun. Now to actually everything else: The service is totally disorganized and lacks motivation. Only one waiter seems to make a good impression. Ready our first visit was very disappointing. When we arrived at our reserved and set table, a glass was already filled with water. Some of the cutlery was dirty. The food came very, very late, but not everything. One person received nothing. The ingredients of each dish were completely different than what was stated on the menu. E.g. Did you use parsley instead of rosemary? Visit 1 was therefore sad. Really great value for money. On our second visit we wanted to give Höfts a second chance. We ordered a cola and a hot chocolate from the first waiter. Afterwards three more waiters came and each asked if we were ready. Actually positive, because it was a sign that they wanted to serve us. Unfortunately we waited 30 minutes for the drinks until it turned out that the order had been forgotten. Now we ordered a cake for €5. This also came very quickly, but the piece was a joke. Totally small and looked like pre-made cake. Since that was too stupid for us, we returned it. We weren't offered a new piece either. The second chance is therefore wasted. We will come back when there is a new owner. Best regards

We waited forever and finally left. Nobody greeted us, we weren't given a menu and gave up after 30 minutes. In addition, several tables were not cleared, which did not leave a good impression. It's a shame, because the place was very nice and the menu sounded promising.

We waited over 2 hours for the food. After repeated inquiries, unfortunately it only came in individual stages. I then canceled my meal because everyone else was already finished. It's a shame what has been done to this great atmosphere and restaurant. Simply bad.

Schlechter Service, essen war auch nicht besonders außer teuer, Toiletten waren verschmutzt, Bedienung war sehr überheblich.

The food was good and the place has an amazing view and is cozy. What wasn’t the best part of the experience was an hour long waiting for our meals. Then when we asked for the bill they hadn’t brought it until we asked again. Over half of the staff doesn’t speak English so we had no idea if they were sorry for the inconveniences or not. Nice restaurant but there’s probably a lack of communication between the management and the staff and between the staff itself.

Disappointment across the board. Waited forever for the food, the tartare is a joke, no warm food, no hot tea, Brussels sprouts cold on the inside and cold on the outside when they reach the table, mashed potatoes cold and unsalted, 6 dishes, one can't even arrive, everything came individually, no pepper or salt on the table, cutlery not refilled, lots of empty tea lights on the table, table for 6 ordered and set for 8, Viennese goulash was soup with 7 pieces of pork, no recommendation, just that Waiter understood German, no attentive staff, had the table at 5:30 p.m. and were ready for dinner and then shortly after 8 p.m., my advice, go somewhere else and then look at the prices

Feel-good atmosphere with inspiring cooking interpretations

Since we live in Potsdam, we have visited there many times in recent years, within walking distance. You have to get used to the new concept and are very spoiled by the previous operator. We were displeased that it took a long time to place the order despite the low capacity of 4 p.m. When the food was served promptly, a waitress actually needed 4 attempts to serve the main course, which was due to ignorance of the size of the meal. Discussions about whether the supplement is included or not are unnecessary, just look at the menu. Due to the serving process, the main course cooled slowly. Reorders were forgotten. The taste wasn't outstanding, but it was ok. We will come back again once things have settled down. There is still room for improvement and yes, perhaps the comparison with the previous concept is inadmissible. That is perhaps the basic problem that people expect more from the location. But everyone deserves a second chance. Addendum Sunday February 23rd, 2025: I visited the Höfts again with five of my adult children and we were completely satisfied. Our service staff was totally committed, the breakfast was great, came quickly and we had a great view over the lake. We all had a great time there and will be back soon.

The customer is being misled here. The Google account of the previous restaurant is simply hijacked along with the reviews. This is more than infinite. You really can't compare Höfts with Tim Raue. It would be more honest to delete the old account and create your own new one. To Höfts' answer: Google is already cooperative. You just can't hijack the account and enter your details. If the owner has a Google account, they can easily mark such an entry as permanently closed and have it deleted. But it doesn't work that way, as information is updated and new reviews are constantly being added.

The ambience is wonderful. The villa is lovingly furnished and attention has been paid to beautiful details. The wardrobe is equipped with lots of hangers and there is enough space to store clothes. I find the fact that the jacket is not removed by the staff to be inappropriate in this atmosphere. The mirrors in the toilet cubicles are a nice detail, but they also need to be looked after. The toilets were dirty, the mirrors smudged and dusty. In the entrance area there is a small table with beautifully draped cakes under glass covers. However, the smell of food is already very strong here in the entrance area. About the food itself: the ordering process is reminiscent of ordering in a fast food restaurant. You have to order everything individually for each course. The individual components then come to the table in bowls and bowls at different times. I generally think it's good to choose the side dishes yourself, but everything on one plate or at least at the same time would be desirable. Neither the presentation nor the quality of the food justify the prices. For dessert we ordered Kellermann's Eiszauber. We weren't enchanted by the presentation or the fix bag sauce. If you had let the ice cream ball disappear under the chocolate hemisphere, put the fruit mirror on the outside and served a warm white chocolate sauce to melt the hemisphere over the ice cream, the effect would have been appropriate for the price without increasing the cost of goods. We are very disappointed and have eaten much better in the area!

The schnitzel was crispy, the dumplings were immediately delicious and I don't even want to start with the dessert... you could have just gone for it. Overall, an absolute taste experience. Need to be repeated guaranteed :)

I wanted to invite my best friend to a great meal on her birthday and had high expectations - unfortunately they weren't met. The location is incredibly beautiful, but the food and service don't do it justice in any way. As soon as we entered we were greeted unfriendly - an overwhelmed waitress didn't seem to have expected us and wanted to take us straight to the table. When we asked whether our jackets would be taken away from us there, we were instead told that we should please take them off ourselves at the cloakroom. The problems continued: Although we had expressly asked when ordering that the wine should only be served with the meal, the carafe was brought straight with the aperitifs, uncooled. Only after further notice was the wine put back in the fridge. The starter, a “deconstructed” beef tartare, was served to us without any explanation. The ingredients were draped around the meat, but unfortunately it wasn't explained to us whether we should mix everything ourselves or add the individual components separately to the bread. The main course took 40 minutes to arrive, although we were asked whether we could continue straight away and said yes. When it finally came, there was the next problem: the au gratin onion ring with burrata was inedible because the outer onion skin was still stuck to it. When we reported this to the head waiter, the plate was taken away without a word. It took 10 minutes before anyone came back to our table - with no explanation as to whether we would now receive a new portion. When a new plate was brought, we were irritated again: the onion ring was replaced, but the remaining components - sweet potato slices, lamb's lettuce and burrata - were simply "transferred" from the old plate to the new one. Again, no excuse. Only shortly before paying, when the waiter noticed that we were no longer in the best mood, were we offered a scoop of ice cream - but without a real apology for the numerous errors in the kitchen and service. Overall a disappointing experience. The beautiful location deserves food and service that does it justice - unfortunately that wasn't the case here. No recommendation.

A highlight in Potsdam – Höfts in the Villa Kellermann! We were at Höfts in Villa Kellermann on Sunday and were absolutely thrilled! As soon as you enter the stylish restaurant you can feel the special atmosphere - elegant but cozy rooms with historical charm and attentive, very friendly service that gave us a warm welcome. The food was a real taste experience. We had cod and a vegan dish, and both dishes were cooked perfectly. The cod was tender as butter, with a wonderfully harmonious accompaniment of fine aromas. The vegan dish was also a real surprise – creative, sophisticated and full of flavor! You can tell that the cooking here is done with passion and high-quality ingredients. For this first-class ambience and the high quality of the food, we found the prices absolutely fair. We can fully recommend Höfts in Villa Kellermann and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We went to Höfts for dinner and were excited to see what awaited us due to the rather average reviews. However, we can only report good things after the visit: the food was good and served hot, the service was quick, friendly and courteous and the ambience was of course beyond any doubt. We'd love to come back.

More appearance than reality. Unfortunately, the concept doesn't work here: the price/performance isn't right, the quality of the food is "so..." and the service is completely overwhelmed. (Aperitif too warm, only came when asked...Wine also too warm - stupid, unprofessional answer received...- Kaiserschmarrn soggy on the inside, dark brown on the outside) Overall, it's a shame... the ambience, which is very nice, is unfortunately already in the years have come. It's all a bit hui, hui (there's something lying around everywhere). We will definitely come back again in the summer, according to the motto: lake view and the wine, if it is cold enough, is also very tasty!!!

This refers to the old Villa Kellermann and not to the Höfts: Food and ambience excellent. The only weak point is time. When things get comfortable, you have to leave. Too bad.

The new operator has taken over the Google account of the previous restaurant and with it all the outstanding reviews. This could cause upset, because anyone expecting fine cuisine à la Tim Raue may be disappointed. I am therefore forced to adjust my 5-star rating from the previous operator. The new team puts in a lot of effort, but in the end everything is a level more down to earth. The quality of the food is of a good standard, as you can get in the sister restaurant Tomasa. The service is friendly, but still inexperienced (We only received matching red wine glasses for the red wine we ordered when we asked. Bread was forgotten at our table.) The ambience has been left almost unchanged and is still great. Overall, the prices are a bit too high for the level offered (2 people, 2 courses, water, wine, 140€)

Jauch’s restaurant is now accessible to everyone. Reservation not necessary. Lunch menu with dishes for 15€. The kitchen still has to learn. There were almost no potatoes for the herring dip, the meat dish had too much meat, but no side dish other than rice. When the terrace opens we will come back.

The Höfts in Villa Kellermann impressed us with its extraordinary atmosphere and first-class dinner. The location is an absolute highlight – a perfect mix of stylish elegance and relaxed charm. It's rare that a place is so upscale, but at the same time exudes a pleasant, calm relaxed atmosphere. Simply a space to feel good! The duck breast was simply excellent – ​​perfectly cooked and a delight in every way. The starter and the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert were also excellent. In addition, there was a service that left nothing to be desired: attentive, warm and always present without ever being intrusive. The restaurant is an absolute recommendation! The perfect balance of sophisticated style and relaxed atmosphere is achieved here, making the evening something very special. If you are looking for a place that combines first-class quality and an inviting atmosphere, you will definitely find it here. An experience not to be missed!

Like many other Potsdam residents, I was happy that this charming place did not stand empty for long after the departure of first Tim Raue and then Christopher Wecker. Tried it for the first time today. Successful menu, also vegetarian and vegan. Maybe not quite the same level as before (also in terms of price), but everything is very good. Highly recommended. Hopefully the concept will now also work economically. The only small point of criticism: the younger service staff still need some practice. But the team has only been together since the beginning of the year. It'll be fine.

Wir waren am 25.12.2024 Mittagessen ( Weihnachtsmenü ). Wir haben das Wildgulasch gehabt und die Gänsekeule. Diese Gerichte waren sehr lecker, der Rotkohl war selbstgemacht, das hat man gesehen und geschmeckt. Die Soßen waren erste Klasse, da hat man gemerkt das die Soßen von einem Profi gemacht worden sind. Der Grünkohl war sehr lecker,die Vorspeisen waren leider nicht ganz so gut. Der Service war sehr gut, vor allem eine junge Frau die mit uns Französisch gesprochen hat. Wir werden im neuen Jahr wieder kommen.

We wanted to visit Villa Kellermann again after the press reported about its closure. The booking service was also very good; I received a reservation immediately in response to my email, even though according to the information on the booking homepage everything was actually already fully booked. The weather was also great, so we were able to sit on the terrace. Actually everything is perfect for a successful evening… As a starter, as a sort of greeting from the kitchen, we were served cucumbers and pearl onions, which looked and tasted exactly like jarred sour preserves from a discount store. There was also a sizeable bowl of white sausage mustard and one with another indefinable sauce. I've experienced a lot in restaurants, but the best way to overcome such a shock is to have good friends at your side and a decent champagne, which was actually available. The sommelier has done his business so far so well. There was also a person responsible for the service for our table, who was the greatest temptation of the most unrestrained and uncultured service staff that you can imagine in such a place. With all understanding for the situation of the employees before the closure of their restaurant: That didn't work at all; The woman was in such a bad mood that I almost asked her about it. When asked how big the portions were, she replied that you have to eat a starter, main course and dessert to get full. Seconds after the supposed end of the meal, she pulled the plate from under my hand. At this point, some of the dinner party was still eating. It's a rogue who doesn't seriously ask about the cause and effect of the impending closure given the prices (we paid over 400 euros for 5 people, one of which was a child). The food (Königsberger Klopse) was beautifully prepared, but practically sauce-free - and the meatballs themselves were dry. I praise my late grandmother's legendary recipe, with which I have made dozens of guests happy. The asparagus soup tasted like some things, but not like asparagus, and according to my daughter, the vegetarian food was also tasteless. You have to do that first. As a woman of action, it occurs to you that you want to offer the team a free cooking class. The dessert (something with white chocolate) contained just that, but it wasn't tasty at all. But since we are basically happy people, we could get through that. I wish the restaurant had a better hand in terms of cooking and service staff when it was relaunched; The really beautiful location is not able to let the paying guest overlook all (serious) defects.

Wir wollten die Villa Kellermann noch einmal besuchen, nachdem die Presse von der Schließung berichtet hatte. Der Service der Buchung war auch sehr gut; auf meine Mail erhielt sich sofort eine Reservierung, obwohl nach den Angaben auf der Buchungshomepage eigentlich schon alles ausgebucht war. Das Wetter war auch prima, so dass wir auf der Terrasse sitzen konnten. Eigentlich alles perfekt für einen gelungenen Abend… Als Vorspeise, quasi als Gruß aus der Küche, wurden uns Gurken und Perlzwiebeln serviert, die genauso aussahen und schmeckten, wie Discountersauerkonserven aus dem Glas. Dazu gab es ein beträchtliches Schüsselchen mit Weißwurstsenf und eines mit einer weiteren nicht definierbaren Sauce. Ich habe nun schon vieles in Restaurants erlebt, aber einen solchen Schock überwindet der Gast bestenfalls mit guten Freunden an der Seite und einem ordentlichen Champagner, den es tatsächlich gab. Der Sommelier hat sein Geschäft auch so weit so gut erledigt. Daneben war für unseren Tisch eine Person für den Service zuständig, welche die schönste Versuchung der bocklosesten und unkultiviertesten Servicekräfte war, die man sich an einem solchen Ort vorstellen kann. Bei allem Verständnis für die Situation der Beschäftigten vor der Schließung ihres Lokals: Das ging gar nicht; die Frau hatte so schlechte Laune, dass ich sie beinahe darauf angesprochen hätte. Auf die Frage, wie groß die Portionen seien, entgegnete sie, man müsse schon Vor,- Haupt- und Nachspeise essen, um satt zu werden. Sekunden nach dem vermeintlichen Ende des Essens zog sie mir bereits den Teller unter der Hand weg. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt aßen noch Teile der Tischgesellschaft. Ein Schelm, wer sich da bei den Preisen (wir haben für 5 Personen, wobei eins ein Kind war, über 400 Euro gezahlt) nicht ernstlich nach Ursache und Wirkung der bevorstehenden Schließung fragt. Das Essen (Königsberger Klopse) war zwar schön angerichtet, aber quasi soßenfrei - und die Klopse selbst trocken. Da lobe ich mir das legendäre Rezept meiner verstorbenen Oma, mit dem ich schon Dutzende Gäste glücklich gemacht habe. Die Spargelsuppe schmeckte nach manchem, aber nicht nach Spargel und das vegetarische Essen war nach der Aussage meiner Tochter ebenfalls geschmacksfrei. Das muss man erst mal schaffen. Als Frau der Tat kommt einem der Gedanke, dem Team einen kostenlosen Kochkurs anbieten zu wollen. Die Nachspeise (irgendwas mit weißer Schokolade) beinhaltete eben jene jedenfalls nicht schmeckbar. Da wir aber grundsätzlich fröhliche Menschen sind, ließ sich auch das überstehen. Ich wünsche dem Restaurant bei einer Neuauflage ein besseres Händchen bei Koch- und Servicepersonal; die wirklich wunderschöne Location ist nicht in der Lage, den zahlenden Gast alle (gravierenden) Mängel übersehen zu lassen.

A perfect evening! A beautiful villa, stylish ambience - but the crowning glory was the kitchen. The food was the crowning glory. We were so satisfied and would have liked to try everything else on the menu. The wine with it was brilliant and the service was exceptionally good. It's such a shame they're closing!

It was a very successful evening. From the reception to the farewell, we were wonderfully accompanied by the very friendly service staff. The food was excellent. The set table menu is absolutely recommended. We made reservations again straight away and are looking forward to our next visit.
