We always enjoy going to Vesuvio. The dishes are delicious, freshly prepared and delivered quickly, even when the restaurant is full. We have never been sent away even if there is no space at the moment the staff is very nice and always trying hard as Christian Rach would say I give 10 points out of 10 🤩👍

Best Italian we have ever had!! I’m half Italian, and I can without hesitation say, this is the best Italian food I have. We got the hole experience, drinks, antipasti, wine, the most amazing pasta, prepared in a Parmesan wheel right in front of you, and the most amazing crispy stone oven pizza. Absolutely fantastic, will be back every time I visit Berlin. 55 euros per person for this experience.

I came here ywo days ago at my first night in berlin. I really enjoyed my carpaccio and pizza. Thus i returned yesterday and enjoyed my carpaccio and lasagna.

Food was really lovely & hot. The tables were very close together & felt crammed in which made it very noisy as its such a small place with so many people. Came to 60 euros for a lasagne, a pasta dish, 1 beer & a glass of wine.

We came to this trattoria by chance and convenience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the staff were polite and courteous

Unfortunately disappointing! We ate at this restaurant two days ago and were unfortunately disappointed. First of all, the space was very cramped, we barely had room to sit, which made the whole experience uncomfortable from the start. The highlight of the evening, however, was when we discovered mold in the parmesan. I immediately researched whether the cheese was still edible, and the internet clearly advises against eating grated Parmesan if it has mold, as it could have already spread everywhere. Unfortunately, when we reported this to the staff, we were not taken seriously. The parmesan was replaced and so was our food, but the waiter made strange comments to us. He claimed that it wasn't mold, but rather a stamp on the edge of the parmesan. We clearly replied that it was definitely mold. It was particularly uncomfortable when I was asked whether I was pregnant or lactose intolerant and why I was even worried. The whole situation was made fun of and my wish to stop eating the Parmesan was not taken seriously. When fresh cheese was finally brought to me, the only comment I received was: “Here is the new cheese. Or would you rather go without cheese this time?” Overall, these experiences made me feel very uncomfortable. The service was unprofessional and the way our legitimate complaint was handled was disappointing. Unfortunately I will not visit this restaurant again.

The food was not good. The carbonara had absolutely nothing to do with carbonara and tasted nothing but salt. Service was OK but a bit too much waiting time.

I recently visited Ristorante Trattoria Vesuvio and loved it. The food was simply delicious, and every bite perfected the enjoyment. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made our visit even more pleasant. Your warmth and professionalism made us feel completely comfortable. We definitely recommend Ristorante Trattoria Vesuvio and are already looking forward to our next visit. A place to definitely remember!

best Italian restaurant i have ever been to in my life. the food was out of this world. I had the scampi pasta and the server was a gentleman and treated us in the most wholesome way ever !

It tasted delicious, the price was reasonable, and the service was also nice. I am satisfied and will visit the restaurant again. Went there again yesterday and I was really impressed with the Vitelli Tonnato, it was incredibly tasty, as was the pasta with duck breast, port wine jus and parmesan.

Just wow! Super friendly staff, fast service and great cuisine. Pizza, tiramisu and shrimp were top notch. A really recommendable Italian restaurant in Berlin that I will definitely visit again!

This place is great for family or just dining alone. The staff were very friendly on both visits and I had no trouble being understood by the staff. Both times I visited the staff had a great sense of humour and the atmosphere was positive and jolly. On the food side of things the meals (pasta 1st time and steak 2nd) were excellent and I had the best creme brule that I have had in over 20 years. Honestly I wish I lived much closer

We had the pizza mista and a calzone. Both were very tasty. The service was courteous and in a good mood. We sat outside and even the weather was good. A great end to the day. Gladly again 👍

I'm not sure if I got the right restaurant since it's been 20 years since I ordered. But I think I ordered a lasagna at that restaurant back then. This lasagna was by far the best lasagna I have ever had in my life! I no longer live in Berlin and have given many other restaurants the chance to conjure up a good lasagna. But nobody made it. Even now, after so long, I still know about this lasagne. Based on the Google images, it still looks the way I remember it. Cheesy, juicy, meaty, not too many noodles, not square practically good, but individual. I would be incredibly happy about the recipe ;-)

Some of the nicest people I've ever met and really really great generosity from the staff here! The owner should be proud of the culture he or she has fostered in this restaurant! I have a lot of love and respect for this restaurant and would definitely recommend seeing it for yourself!

Bis vor einigen Jahren waren wir Stammgast hier. Dann fand leider in 2022 ein Betreiberwechsel statt. Wir waren 2022 und auch 2023 einmal hier und hatten gehofft, dass der Trend wieder nach oben geht. Dieser Wunsch erfüllte sich schon im letzten Jahr leider nicht. Nun, das Wetter war schön und wir wollten dem Team eine dritte Chance geben, sich zu beweisen. Aber leider ist der familiäre und herzliche Umgang mit dem Kunden im Service komplett verloren gegangen. Es war auch gut, dass man uns nicht als ehemalige Stammkunden wiedererkannt hatte. So konnten wir den Service auch unabhängiger testen. Das der neue Betreiber kein Italiener ist, ist ja erst mal nicht negativ zu bewerten. Wenn man es dann aber am Umgang mit dem Kunden (vermeintlich auch neuen Kunden) deutlich merkt, hat der neue Betreiber sein Personal nicht entsprechend geschult, wie es bei (fast) jedem Italiener üblich ist. Ggf. ist man hier ja auf "Neukunden" nicht angewiesen. Die Qualität der Speisen ist guter Durchschnitt, will sagen, gut, aber nicht besser, als woanders. Dann bewertet man natürlich die Qualität stärker aus der Sicht des Preis-/Leistungsverhältnisses. Und da muss ich sagen, dass man bei anderen guten Italienern 15 bis teilweise 20 Prozent weniger zahlt. Also hat man hier wohl das Ziel, in die höheren Regionen der Gastronomie aufzusteigen. Dem wird man hier aber an keiner Stelle (Qualität und Service) deutlich nicht gerecht. Der Service ist nicht gerade ein Aushängeschild der Trattoria. Der Kellner agierte deutlich unterkühlt und uns nicht gerade freundlich zugewandt. Wir hatten ausgiebig gespeist und getrunken. Da habe ich mir zum Ausklang natürlich auch einen sehr guten Grappa bestellt. Bis dahin war es ein teurer, aber gerade so noch akzeptabler Abend gewesen. Mit der Rechnung wurde dann die übliche Frage nach einem "Schnaps vom Haus" gestellt, die ich mit "ja und bitte einen Grappa" beantwortete. Was dann aber im Glas an den Tisch kam, war schon schauerlich. Da würde ich mir schon sehr deutlich überlegen, ob ich den zur Wunddesinfektion an meinen Körper gelassen hätte. Ich kann sehr wohl zwischen gutem, sehr guten und scheußlichen Grappa unterscheiden. In meiner Hausbar stehen 2 Flaschen die über 50 Euro und eine, die etwas über 100 Euro kostete. Mir dann bei einem Rechnungssaldo von über 100 Euro und nach einem guten Amarone das billigste und schlimmste "Gesöff" zu bringen, hat nichts, ja überhaupt nichts mit "Dank vom Haus" zu tun. Mir kam es so vor, dass dieser "Rausschmeißer" es auch dann besiegeln sollte. Ich erwarte ja nicht, dass nach einem sehr guten Grappa dann vom Haus der besten Grappa aus dem Regal an der Bar kommt, aber so, wie erlebt, wollte man hier absolut keinen Dank für unsere Anwesenheit zollen. Fazit: Eine vierte Chance geben wir dem Vesuvio nicht, auch deswegen nicht, weil es im Umfeld freundlichere, von den Speisen her genau so gute, aber dann dankbarere Italiener gibt.

We went for dinner, nice atmosphere, very characteristic wooden interior with designs reminiscent of Italian landscapes. Pleasant staff, they speak Italian fluently, varied menu. The dishes were well presented and the food was of excellent quality. I recommend it easily

Food was okay. Waiter touches our child without asking, that doesn't have to be the case. In addition, all the waiters in the restaurant displayed a perceived listlessness. There were four of them and even though they hardly had anything to do and had noticed that you wanted something, they continued to chat and keep you waiting, every time. I've never experienced anything like that before.

Honestly... I think people are seduced by the service and the really appealing look of the dishes to rate it so highly! Unfortunately it didn't taste like anything! That was a real shame because of the high prices. And if I order a glass of cola for 5 euros, ice cubes would really be appropriate, especially at these temperatures! Apart from that, I also had to realize in the end that they are of course not Italian. The boss personally wanted to start a conversation with me in Turkish. That's just annoying!

Very arrogant manager (or head waiter) in a blue shirt who spoils your mood! Today we had a business lunch in the restaurant with my colleague. The manager treats people as if he is doing them a favor. He told us (because the poor guy had to bring orders twice) that we should tell him everything straight away next time and not send him back and forth, because he wouldn't feel like bringing us anything a third time. Since he was so cheeky, we canceled the desserts so as not to burden him further. He accepted it calmly and just moved on. That really spoils the evening and the mood changes immediately! The gentleman definitely doesn't want to work and has a hard time doing everything. Big request to the management: if someone doesn't want to work - let them go. The unemployed are also treated well, he will definitely lack for nothing. So in short: the food was ok, but because of the service, this restaurant is absolutely not recommended and we advise everyone not to go!

Pleasant and friendly treatment from the waiters. Regarding the dishes we ordered, the lasagna, although it was good, was very heavy since it was practically all dough, with hardly any filling. We liked the pasta with salmon. What we didn't like is that they charged us without showing us the bill in detail. Doing the math, a bottle of water and cutlery and some olives that we didn't even ask for, 8-10 euros, quite abusive, I really don't know if those are the prices or if they were tourists they took advantage.

We love this place! By far our favourite restaurant we have been to in Berlin. The food is incredible, especially the pizza 🍕 The service is top class, we felt so welcomed every time we came to have food 👨‍🍳 A very classy restaurant with good food and great service, highly recommend!!

Thank you for the lovely evening. Unfortunately a bit expensive. But the extra expense was worth it. Everyone really enjoyed it and even my youngest really got her money's worth.

The food tastes very good, and all the staff are very friendly, if you want good Italian pizza, pasta, and food I really can recommend this place.

Everything seemed nice at first. But when the food was brought to the table, all 6 people confirmed that it was terrible. There was a lot of pasta per portion, it was overcooked and in general the dishes were not good. Almost no one finished their dish. The waiters of the restaurant do not ask if you liked the dish, and when you tell them about it, they begin to behave unpleasantly. If you want to eat delicious pasta in Berlin, go to Coccodrillo or Cumberland. I honestly don't understand how this restaurant gets good reviews. I highly recommend avoiding it. Update: They blocked my comment, which I then had to reinstate. You'd be better off perfecting your horrible kitchen than moderating truthful reviews. It is a disgrace to be called Vesuvio and to disgrace the beautiful city of Naples with the terrible quality of the food.

The food was below average. I seasoned the carbonara myself at the table. The carpaccio was cut way too thick and the quality of the meat was just okay. The waiter was very fake friendly and didn't look me in the eyes, but basically looked over me.

We were there on Sunday evening and had a delicious meal, from the starter to the dessert. Everything great and good quality. Very nice and unobtrusive waiters. Highly Recommended.

I was here on a queer date and the treatment we got was horrible. First the stares and looks right when we arrived made me feel sexualised and objectified. We were then holding hands at our table when the waiter came and put his hand on ours. This wouldn't have happened to a straight couple and crossing the boundary of physical touch is unacceptable. I'm writing this to warn fellow queer people about this clearly homophobic restaurant. To the restaurant: it's 2024 and it's Berlin, learn how to treat queer customers with the same respect you have for straight customers.

Expensive shop, makes you look posh but you get dirty cutlery!

Yes and no… from two recent visits. Yes, their pizza is good. The pasta varies… from a very good, but somewhat too sweet dish with walnuts, raisins and pear (yes, I know this screams «sweet», but it was even sweeter), to a way overcooked chef’s tagliatelle. No water offered and we had to send out a resque party for our beers… May come back for the pizza, though.

The sparkling water was good, but I wouldn't come for the food. Worst mushrooms I ever had, bad meat and pasta. A dish made with red wine which is just bitter and badly cooked.

I went a few days ago with a friend of mine. We arrived very late, close to closing time. Despite this, the staff welcomed us warmly and we ate some good pasta dishes. 10/10 to the service for the triumphal entry of the dishes by our waiter ;) The place itself is very nice, extra point for the Eros Ramazzotti playlist in the background which made us feel at home (although it could vary a little with other artists). Next time in Berlin I will definitely come back! Thank you guys.

I can only recommend Trattoria Vesuvio! We ate there on our last evening in Berlin and loved it. The restaurant is very charmingly decorated inside. The food and drinks were excellent! Prices are justified. Our waiter was attentive, courteous and very personable. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Berlin!

It was my first time to eat Italian food, and it was a blast. The service attitude was super good. The waiter noticed that it was my first time to eat and thoughtfully recommended me main dishes and wine pairings. Something.

We held a family celebration there with 20 people and we had some of the best service ever: warm, funny, fast. The food was also fantastic; From the antipasti to the main course to the dessert plate, it's simply great.

We had the lemon linguine, the lasagna and the shrimp linguine, delicious! We will come back!

Was here for the first time today. All I can say is that everything was perfect. Had lunch, daily menu with soup and drink at a great price. Quality of the food was very good. Service was very friendly and attentive, requests were addressed. Very nice atmosphere. Not to forget the very clean and modern toilets.

Unfortunately everything is much too narrow. So that you can hardly hear your own conversations because everything is drowned out by the table next to you because everything is so close together. The food was acceptable, I had chicken which was borderline bad. Almost too tough for the price. And there were 2 small potatoes. The prices are of course pretty steep, but it's just Berlin. Well, the crowning glory was actually that the toilets didn't work because they were all blocked. Both for men and for women. Normally this would have to be remedied quickly and then an emergency service would have to come. But you were just told off that you were sorry.

Food, service and atmosphere great and very authentic! Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we had to wait outside in the cold for a longer period of time. But we got a beer.

We ate well here and the menu has a lot to offer beyond pizza and pasta. But the restaurant is definitely in the higher priced range. In my opinion, the vegetable side dish with the fish and meat was a bit poor. Even if there was also a small salad. The decor inside seems rustic, the depictions of Italy are a bit kitschy, but it's very comfortable. Even though the restaurant was full, there was no crowding with other guests. The service was initially very quick, even when it came to the main course. We hadn't finished the aperitif yet and felt slightly rushed. The service became very slow after dessert and it took some time before we were able to get a waiter to tell us that we would like to pay. But the service was consistently friendly.

Had dinner with friends today for dinner... now we know why the waiters are so friendly at these prices... Antipasti plate for 5 people 67 euros, for a bit of cold cuts and vegetables... 1 bailey's 8 euros 4 CL of them were 2 CL ice cubes... my wallet hid when it saw the bill... When it comes to shots and starters, I think it's a case for Kabel eins "Beware of a rip-off" and anyone who goes out to eat there needs advice from debt advisor Peter Zwegat. Conclusion : Food okay Waiter okay Fantasyland prices

A place for enjoyment, relaxation, a cozy atmosphere. Really great dishes.

Wirklich tolles Essen, aber das beste war der Service. Wir waren nur 2 Nächte in Berlin und wollten eigentlich mehrere Restaurants probieren, doch es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir nur hier essen waren. Ich empfehle das Tartufo Limoncello.
