The food is a disaster the schnitzel is too

dined here on Wednesday the service and food was first class that good we returned the next evening .our water Adnan was very helpful and very pleasant .

Yesterday (May 21, 2025), I had Italian dinner at VERONA in Berlin Spandau. Since the temperatures were pleasant for early summer, I sat on the lovely outdoor terrace. The service was very friendly and pleasant without being pushy or artificial. The pizza salmone was a decent size and very good quality. The value for money was okay. There is free parking right outside. Despite its location on the main road, the noise level was pleasant, not too loud. Would I eat here again: Yes, definitely!

We made a last-minute request for an evening with live music and were quickly offered a spot. There was a misunderstanding when ordering and a tonno salad was accidentally delivered instead of a pizza, but this was corrected anyway and canceled correctly on the invoice. The food was very tasty, both the pizzas and the salad with yogurt dressing were convincing. The service was great, would be happy again.

I have been a guest at Verona for decades. I appreciate the warm hospitality, the great ambience and the delicious food. Here you feel like you are in Italy.

We were there for the first time. Friendly welcome and good service. Since we were invited by a regular guest (10 people in total), everything went smoothly. The mixed starter platter was rich and good. My pork fillet with pepper sauce was okay. My wife had the rump steak, there's still room for improvement. The pizzas at the neighboring tables looked decent.

The food is very good, the staff very friendly. The ambience is a bit of a matter of taste. I would recommend the antipasti and then a steak (but it's better to order something raw, somehow the grill tends to overheat).

We've lived near the restaurant for ages but have never been there. It was really good. The selection of dishes is quite diverse. The antipasti platter for 2 is highly recommended. We liked it a lot. The restaurant and the furnishings are very Italian in character and you immediately feel at home. The service staff is very nice and hardworking. We will come more often now. The interior is inviting, but that was the only thing that appealed to me and my companion. The service was unfriendly, which was completely different 3 years ago! The food (schnitzel) was bad, especially since the meat was tough and therefore almost inedible. It's a shame that the once very good restaurant is so extremely poorly managed that we will never go there again. All in all, this house is not recommended!!!

I can only agree with all the reviews. Went there yesterday, the service was super friendly and the food was unique. Price/performance unbeatable. My wife particularly liked the buttery chicken schnitzel and the pasta with truffle. Gladly again

We ended up there by chance. It was very well attended there. The service was great and the food was very tasty and lovingly prepared. If we are in the area again, we will go there again. Highly recommended.

We booked a table on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately it wasn't completely cleared away when we arrived. There was bruschetta from the house. The bread was wonderfully warm, but the tomatoes on it were unfortunately ice cold. We ordered wine, garlic soup, menu Zingara and 3 pork fillets with rosemary potatoes and white wine-lime sauce. The wine was good, the garlic soup excellent. The schnitzel was also ok and tasted good. The pork fillets were served with fries, but this was immediately remedied. If I had known what to expect, I would have stuck with the fries. The rosemary potato was a disaster. 1 sliced ​​boiled potato until almost mushy, 3 crumbs of rosemary. Taste zero. Unfortunately the sauce didn't make it any better, just as tasteless as the potato. I expected the fillets to be medallions, instead they were flattened like a schnitzel, but tender. It's a shame about the €20.90. The staff was very friendly and gets 5 stars. Unfortunately not the food.

Basically a good restaurant. Unfortunately it is no longer compatible with dogs! I accidentally forgot the water/bowl. Water bowl is rejected! No go! The four-legged friend should drink on the terrace. But there is no bowl there! Excuses are being made! It's a shame ☹️ I always enjoyed being there.

The Verona restaurant in Spandau is a real insider tip! Particularly noteworthy is the junior boss Chiara, who does an excellent job. With her warmth and professionalism, she makes you feel at home from the first second. The food always tastes great and I have never been disappointed. The Verona team is always friendly and attentive - a big compliment to the kitchen too! The service is top, the atmosphere is pleasant – simply a place to feel good. Typical pizzeria in the style of the 80s. Had noodles. Quantity is clear, quality is okay. It wasn't bad. I can do better myself.

Fillet steak and rump steak as tender as butter! Very good! But unfortunately much too warm in the restaurant so T-shirt.

Bruschetta was very tasty, although I personally like it a little spicier, but the bread was the best bread for bruschetta that I have ever eaten. The pizza was also very good and our special requests were also taken into account. But the highlight was our dessert, everything was very tasty, especially the ice cream and apple strudel from my companion. Would definitely eat there again, just for the dessert

Our family and friends are just as excited as we are

We were really hungry at the end of the day and decided on this restaurant. I knew it from before, but it had been a few years ago. We chose half a liter of Pinot Grigio and two pieces of lasagna from the extensive menu. The friendly waiter brought wine at a good temperature, which also tasted great. The lasagna arrived in a reasonable time; pretty hot, as you know it. Unfortunately, the court's good impression didn't last long. I had never eaten such a sour and strange tasting pasta dish. “It doesn’t matter, I’m hungry,” I thought. But it wasn't. With every bite, a taste-dusty spot slowly appeared on my tongue. The minced meat was well cooked, but the tomato sauce somehow wasn't. Thanks to my hunger, I completely downed this interesting dish. My wife couldn't do it. The kitchen was probably just having a bad day, but I won't take that risk there again. By the way, there was no real apology either. After our feedback about the sour taste, we were only told that too much tomato had been processed... who would have thought that. This particular dish is also quite sustainable, I still love it. All in all, it's a shame, because good lasagna should be possible. And if such a relatively simple dish goes wrong, I would temper my expectations for more complicated dishes.

Wir waren zu 6. hier und hatten einen Geburtstag gefeiert, dass Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, leider sind die Portionen (Zander in Tomatensoße mit Kapern, Salzkartoffeln und Spinat) derart klein, dass man hier wieder hungrig rausgeht. Ein ebenfalls bestelltes Radler 0,4L war ebenfalls nur bis 1cm unter Eichstrich gefüllt…war früher hier mal Stammgast, von den Pizzen bin ich bisher immer satt geworden, ein Freund hatte Rinderfilet mit grünen Bohnen und Kartoffeln…er ist genauso wenig satt geworden, wir hatten dann glücklicherweise noch einen Brotkorb zum satt essen.

For the third time we were very disappointed in Verona. The tuna in the salad was already brown on the outside and pink on the inside, which is how it should look overall. We have had negative experiences with Verona tuna twice. Nevertheless, we wanted to give them another chance and ordered again after 8 months. The disappointment was great again. When we called the restaurant, we were told that this was normal and that on the next visit, a can would be opened especially for us so that we could see that the tuna was fresh. As if I'll go to this restaurant again after having bad fish three times haha... every normal person knows that tuna is pink. Above all, a restaurant should know this. We're also having stomach problems again today. Please be careful what you order there!!!! Just disgusting.

Price-performance is really good, the staff is always nice and accommodating - completely perfect for me :)

I like it. If you can sit outside it is a bit noisy from Heerstrasse but that's just the way it is. We all enjoyed the food very much and the service was extremely friendly and professional. The prices are reasonable and you also get slightly smaller dishes (menu) so that you don't get completely oversaturated. Everything is great, keep it up.👍🙂

The food was repeatedly badly warmed up, fries, unsightly, the whole atmosphere was run down and grubby, just getting old. The real ones were very good. 🤷‍♂️damage I won't try it again.

The food itself is ok and tasty. But you get the impression that the sauce is a finished product. We had 3 different schnitzel dishes but the sauce in all of them tasted almost the same. A friend then had tagliatelle with salmon tips, the dish arrived almost cold and didn't look very appealing. But the price is right in relation to the quality.

We've been coming here for almost 30 years and always eat the same dishes. The salad was good but much better years ago. We were missing some side salad on the main courses, as we were used to, but that's a matter of opinion. The taste is very good and the meat is very tender. Unfortunately we didn't like the bruschetta. We still know them with fresh garlic and fresh leaf parsley on them. The price of the food was completely okay. On the other hand, I find the soft drinks very expensive. The staff very attentive, polite and accommodating. We'll be back👍😃

The Verona has never been known for its gourmet cuisine, but it tasted good and the portions were very good. Unfortunately there isn't much left of it. The food is at canteen level and the portions are clear. Price performance no longer fits. The food tastes like nothing, little seasoning and you can tell that they are saving money at every turn. We were there last week with dry lasagna and hardly any sauce. Liver with a very thin sauce and tasteless. The staff are super friendly. But that doesn't stop the cheap food from happening. This was the third time in a row. We'll take a break until we hear that things have gotten better, after all Spandau remains a village

The positive first: The boy!! Service very nice and friendly. The boss ? can't handle criticism: the customer is king and is always right, was her answer. The meal: Snails in white wine herb butter, swimming lukewarm in a broth with garlic. Pork fillet in pepper cream sauce with fries, the sauce definitely came ready from the tetra pack or bag to which green pepper was added. Tagliatelle in Parmesan cheese prepared with truffle. At a good Italian restaurant, this dish is prepared visibly for the guest. This is an eye-catcher. Here the dish came ready from the kitchen, also in a watery sauce, tasteless. Grated Parmesan was requested and this indefinable powdery stuff arrived. The answer to our justified criticism was: we always do it that way! The dessert made up for us a bit, panna cotta with strawberries was delicious. The wine tasted good too. There was then a nightcap at the house.

Food was extremely bad for the third time...., I had the schnitzel Bolognese, had to throw up in the restaurant....!!!! Today, almost a year later, I tried a spaghetti Bolognese, it was probably not right... I was surprised that it only tasted hot like pepper... and I felt sick again... for that The prices were now increased...the service was quite nice, but not like it used to be for a long time.........

I love it... it's still a nice restaurant, with extremely tasty food and good service... It's a shame that it's so far from my "home"... the last time I was there was about 25 to 30 ago Years there... and it's still a little highlight!!!
