Freundliches Team trotz hoher Gästezahl. Etwas längere Wartezeit aufgrund der vielen Gäste. Das Essen war lecker und reichlich. Tisch reservieren ist sinnvoll.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit Blick auf das Graduierwerk. Wir waren nur für Kaffee und Kuchen hier, aber das war alles top. Eine nette Bedienung mit guter Laune machte den Besuch rund.

Wir waren dort mit unseren beiden Kinder Frühstücken. Eine tolle Auswahl an Käse und Wurst und viele Extras ( pancakes, Bacon,Wurst etc. Es wurde immer alles schnell nachgelegt sobald was alle war. Sehr nettes Personal, schönes Ambiente. Rundum ein gelungener Start in den Tag.

Ich habe hier hervorragend gegessen.

Scheint ein beliebter Restaurant zu sein, besonders für junge Leute - Burger und so. Ist in Ordnung, vielleicht etwas laut am Samstag Abend.

Ich habe gehofft das die negativen Rezession hier nicht stimmen und wir wollten dort trotzdem frühstücken gehen ! Leider ist es kein Hotspot zum frühstücken gehen zumindest nicht wenn Buffett ist ! Auch wenn man sich, etwas sehr genervt und patzig versucht hat zu entschuldigt, das es ja leider heute sehr voll war ( meine Meinung ......Feiertag (14.5) müsste man mit rechnen und ja wenn es Personal engpass gibt, dann sollte man kein Frühstücksbuffett anbieten, dann noch der "koch" alleine in der Küche ist! Wartete man viel zu lange darauf das etwas ( Buttet, Magarine, Rührei welches um halb 11 noch 2 mal kurzer Zeit wieder gefüllt worden ist obwohl um 11 Uhr Schluß ist) , wieder aufgefüllt wurde somit warteten wir auch vergebens auf die Croissant und Pfannkuchen gab es seid 9 :30 Uhr keine mehr ! Wir hatten Verständnis, deswegen haben wir 3mal in fast 1 1/2 Stunde nach gefragt ob es denn noch welche geben wird ! Es wurde immer ja gesagt um 11 Uhr bin ich dann bezahlen gegangen und habe meine Meinung kund getan! Darauf hin wollte man mir welche einpacken und mit geben , das habe ich höflichst verneint! Als dann noch der "Koch " aus der Küche kam und etwas sehr laut kund gegeben hat das ja jetzt die Pfannekuchen fertig wären und wenn es mir nicht passt das ich so lange warten musste mich bei dem Geschäftsführer beschweren soll. Na ja und wenn viele Leute/ Kinder am Bufett gehen, passiert auch mal das was runterfällt, leider bleibt das auch die ganze Zeit liegen. Naja werden wir ebend wieder zu altbewährte CurryQ Frühstücksbuffett gehen ! Schade Ambiente des Vengas gefiel uns ganz gut , man saß schön die Ausicht ist toll!

Sehr großes Zimmer, exzellenter Empfang und Service. Die Portionen sind sehr großzügig und das Essen ist sehr gut.

Der Service war lausig. Man musste einem - anscheinend für das Restaurant verantwortlichen - Kellner mehrfach genau erklären, wo man sitzt - der Tisch allein und das Gesicht des Gastes waren offensichtlich nicht aussagekräftig genug. Es wirkte wie ein Versuch, Menschen von einem Wunsch abzubringen. Als Gast möchte ich mich nicht wie ein lästiger Bittsteller empfinden. Die Bezahlung einer Gruppe für eingeladene Personen wurde so laut angekündigt, dass es sogar an den Nebentischen leiser wurde. Das war jetzt mein drittes und definitiv letztes Mal im Venga Kevelaer! (Nicht mit Kempen zu vergleichen.) Das Frühstücksbuffet ist in Ordnung was die Vielfalt angeht, in punkto Qualität nicht wirklich herausragend, sondern durchschnittlich.

Wir fahren sehr gerne dorthin, Essen lecker, Portionen reichlich, preislich auch okay, allerdings sehr viel Eis im Cocktail und ohne Eis,kostet der kleine genauso viel wie ein großer Cocktail. Wir trinken dort keinen mehr. Die Reservierungen der Tische mittags, obwohl die Gäste erst 3 Stunden später kommen, finde ich irreführend. Kommt man ohne Reservierung, führt das schon mal zu Missverständnissen.

Wir waren heute mittags da. Service okay aber nicht überragend. Da man in die Küche gucken kann war ich etwas überrascht, dass Hygiene scheinbar nicht groß geschrieben wird. Alles ohne Handschuhe, Pommes wurden mit der Hand aus der Schale geholt und das Burgerbrötchen ebenso um nochmal was drunter zu legen. Absolutes Katastrophe ist die „Wickelstation“. Nicht nur das es einfach ein Ablagetisch ist und es an einer Aufhängung für die Tasche fehlt, die Auflage war super dreckig! Und der Windeleimer daneben hatte keine Tüte. Gut, dass ich selber alles dabei hatte.

Die Burger waren echt gut! Viel zu groß für uns, Frauen. Pommes und Süsskartoffel war auch sehr schön gewürzt.

We were at the Solegarten spa on Sunday and wanted to finish off our visit with coffee at Venga. While we were waiting at the entrance, a waiter (tall, glasses, bald or very thinning) approached us. He already looked very annoyed. I asked if he had a table available for us to have coffee. He then asked rudely if we had a reservation. Note: it was 3 pm on a Sunday, the place was only occupied with four tables, and five servers were running around! When I said no, he glanced at his clever reservation slip and was then allowed to follow me. Well, we sat down at the table and were then ignored. We didn't receive a menu or anything similar, and no one said they would be right with us. We sat there for over ten minutes and then left. Apparently, they don't want to make any money, or perhaps it was because we had a child and a baby with us and were therefore unwelcome—I don't know! This was my first time there, and definitely my last!

Delicious burgers!!! Friendly service with a great atmosphere.

I was looking forward to some delicious prawns, but unfortunately, I received prawns that were either not cleaned at all or poorly cleaned. The intestines, full of prawn droppings, were still inside. When I complained, I was told that the kitchen couldn't see it and that it varied from bag to bag... as is often the case with frozen goods.

We were there for the breakfast buffet on Saturday. A reservation was absolutely necessary. The selection was okay, although not exactly cheap at €18.90. The sausages were a bit pale, and I've definitely seen better bacon. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't well-coordinated, and one waiter was clearly overwhelmed trying to handle all the tables, taking drink orders, and refilling the food. More support from the kitchen or an additional server would have been a huge help. Nevertheless, the waiter was very dedicated, responded politely to special requests, and did an impressive job. The view of the small saltworks park was lovely. It must be a great place to eat outside in the summer.

It was a fun experience, and I would repeat it.

Nice atmosphere and good service, they are all there for you. However i have to say... it was really THE WORST cesar salat i ever had in my life! Please lern how to make it, it's not tha hard :) ! My friends had burgers and they said was o.k, but not great.

The food is very good, but the service could be more attentive.

So far, we've only enjoyed coffee and cake at Restaurant Venga. The outdoor seating area is inviting and perfect for relaxing. The quick, friendly, and competent service makes for a pleasant visit. The enticing menu will surely entice us to stop by for a meal sometime.

The food was good and plentiful, with some very interesting combinations. Very trendy, but it also comes at a price, although I'd say it's not excessive or unreasonable! All in all, it won't be my last time there.

Good food, fast service, nice view

Four of us went out to eat. It was unspeakably bad. The Wiener veal schnitzel actually came out of the deep fryer and was completely dry, so we complained. The next one, of course, came out of the deep fryer again, despite explanations regarding the correct preparation, a little less dry, but still bad. The side dish was initially forgotten and tasted watery. Two salmon tarte flambées were primarily topped with arugula. The crust was crispy around the edges, and the rest of the crust was raw. We were able to carve our names into them. We complained about these three dishes for completely inflated prices, were offered espresso as compensation, and received it. Our service was the compensation: super friendly and accommodating. The chef was informed of all complaints. However, he never came to our table! The ambiance with a view of the saltwater garden is wonderful, but it doesn't compensate for the poor quality of the food and exorbitant prices. We live in the neighborhood and, despite the beautiful location, will definitely not visit the restaurant again or recommend it to others!!!! It couldn't be worse!!! Our tip: Bring your picnic blanket, delicious wine, and snacks. It's definitely better and x times cheaper than Venga 🤷🏻‍♀️

For me, Venga falls into the same category as Café Extrablatt or Café del Sol: Nothing is really bad here, but nothing is particularly good either. You go there if there's no better alternative nearby. The restaurant was, of course, completely empty right after opening at 2:30 p.m. When we asked if we could just sit anywhere, the server had to check first – why? If everything was reserved after 3:00 p.m., they should know. Plus, there are more than enough free seats. No drama, but a bit odd. The goat cheese burger was typical standard fare: a thin frozen patty with all sorts of toppings, served on a very dry sesame bun. Why do restaurants like these always fail to deliver good burger buns and high-quality meat? My son's pasta Napoli tasted okay – apart from the noticeable sugar content. The dish was one of the children's dishes that wasn't on the menu, but was offered to us upon request. If a restaurant offers special dishes for children, in my opinion, they should be as healthy as possible, or at least not unhealthy. Sugar in a Napoli sauce is completely unnecessary in my opinion. Conclusion: If you're already at the graduation tower, you can stop here for an iced coffee or another drink. However, if you're really hungry, you'd better look for a better alternative.

Nice and Quick nice selection of fresh nektape.

We were there yesterday afternoon, wanted to have a nice meal, and had managed to get a table outside. There were still plates, etc., left on the table from the previous guests. Unfortunately, they hadn't been cleared beforehand, and they weren't cleared when we were seated either. Since no one from the service department had attended to our table after a very long wait, we ended up going somewhere else to eat. Since we had been waiting for a long time, we could see that the man was serving alone and was definitely overwhelmed. Another absolute no-no is yelling at other employees in front of the guests. You don't do that in front of the guests. If you have problems within the "team," you sort them out somewhere else.

Wonderfully cozy and a great breakfast

We're actually regulars here, just for the beautiful view. Unfortunately, the service is getting worse and worse. Today we got our food first, followed 10 minutes later by our first drinks, and another 10 minutes later by cutlery so we could finally eat the food we'd already been looking at for 20 minutes. To top it all off, the waiter made a rude comment. Last time, it must have been the ventilation or air conditioning that was broken. Earlier, at breakfast, a guest even ran through the restaurant on his racing bike, looking for a condition that somehow couldn't be found. That used to be better. We're now considering alternative options for drinks or dinner in the evening.

Usually Venga in Kevelaer is a popular destination for our family, a place where we feel comfortable and eat well. We were all the more disappointed with our visit on Mother's Day, which unfortunately went wrong in every respect. The switch to an obviously slimmed-down lunch menu at the weekend was already a negative start. Our children were visibly disappointed because their favorite dishes from the regular menu were suddenly no longer available. Information about this reduced selection in advance would have been very desirable in order to avoid unnecessary disappointment. The lunch menu itself was very clear, to put it mildly. The situation was particularly unfortunate with regards to the asparagus menu. This offered asparagus with potatoes for €18.90, although for an additional charge of €12.50 you could order bacon-wrapped pork medallions or salmon fillet - exactly the dishes that our children would have wanted from the original menu, which no longer exists. When we asked whether it would be possible to order the pork medallions separately without the asparagus, we received a clear negative from the waitress. When our son wanted to order penne with cocktail tomatoes as an alternative (as stated on the menu), the same waitress told us that there were no more cocktail tomatoes. This really raises the question of planning: How can it be that on a day like Mother's Day, when you have to expect a full house, with an already very small menu of just twelve dishes, an ingredient like cocktail tomatoes runs out at 1 p.m.? The insecurity of the waitress who served us also didn't help the situation. She emphasized several times that she actually came from the branch in Kempen and didn't know her way around Kevelaer. This is understandable in itself, but in such cases it would have been helpful if she had asked her colleagues instead of leaving us alone with her ignorance. According to the waitress, my wife's request for a non-alcoholic Hugo could not be fulfilled. The low point of our visit, however, was when we observed from our window seat that guests outside, who were being served by another waitress, were being served salmon fillets - WITHOUT asparagus, mind you - with fries. This observation made the previous statement that it was not possible to order the meat and fish dishes separately completely unbelievable and simply felt like a joke. The final payment was made to another waiter, probably even the store manager. The only question was whether it was tasty; there was no inquiry as to whether everything was OK. Of course, a tip was out of the question under these circumstances. After this disappointing experience, I am unsure whether I can convince my family to visit Venga in Kevelaer again. This is particularly unfortunate as it has always been a popular family restaurant for us.

Had drinks and breakfast. Part of a large hotel but things are not in order. The drinks were very difficult to get through. Breakfast is poorly organized, for example a coffee machine to make individual coffee, but if you have 100 breakfasters that doesn't really make any progress. Buffet layout is also inconvenient

The location with the evening sun is really beautiful. The facade/windows could be cleaned, especially since some of the chairs are aligned there. The staff behave visually and verbally as if they were forced to work. Not polite, hardly even a thank you, please or goodbye. It's a shame, otherwise the drinks and food were very nicely presented and tasty.

Very pleasant, good food and pleasant atmosphere

The food is always good (very tasty and good portions) and they have a lot of choice in drinks. Also alcohol-free. And then the location! At a park/garden (a kind of public spa garden, which we don't have in the Netherlands), where you can enjoy a nice view when the weather is nice and where the children can play. When we go to Irrland, we always want to go to Venga to eat. It is a beautiful place and it always gives me a holiday feeling. Compared to the Netherlands, you also get more value for your money here.

Had dinner there on a Monday evening. Sat pretty near the entrance which is very far away from the counter and kitchen. Accordingly, there were few waiters walking around the area. We were able to order quite quickly and then had to wait a good 50 minutes for our food, + another drink (0.2l Coco Cola €3.90). Unfortunately, my burger had cooled down for a long time. In the end, four of us had to pay around €100 for a relatively small meal and two soft drinks each. Unfortunately, the fries were quite unsuitable for the dish and were not seasoned or salted at all. So essentially: - quite expensive - a lot of money for food and drinks of a quality that was okay.

Can't judge the food because we weren't served! The staff just looked at us, saw that we were physically disabled and simply walked past. This went on for almost 1.5 hours. Then we left this terrible place. As a disabled person you will not be served there. The worst restaurant we have ever visited. Why not hang a sign on your front door that says “DISABLED PEOPLE ARE NOT SERVED HERE!” Actually. -5 stars

We went to Venga-Kevelaer twice for breakfast. Great the first time. Service friendly. The buffet was constantly replenished. At the table we always asked if everything was ok. Used plates were cleared away promptly. Coffee was constantly being replenished. Buffet selection is good, small portions, 4-5 different rolls. The second time I had the feeling that we weren't wanted. Friendliness max. grade 4. Buffet was almost empty for 15 minutes. No rolls when you arrived, you had to get your own coffee every time. Empty plates were not cleared away. Buffet selection was similar to the first time but unfortunately we never saw everything. 2 types of bread rolls. There should also be bacon, but probably not on this day. The quality of the food is good. I hope it was a one-off mistake. The main problem was due to the condition, listless and disorganized. We are absolute breakfast fans. Breakfast times are great. I think the ambience and the view of the brine garden are very nice.

I would like to mention in advance that I do not expect more in terms of service than I am willing to give and therefore take it for granted. On December 22nd, 2024 I was there with my partner and a good friend... (Oh well...) ...let's say, been a guest! We got there just before 10 p.m. because the opening times told us Until midnight. open! We had planned that if they closed on time, we would go home around 11:40 p.m. to congratulate my partner on her birthday in peace at midnight. But... even before we could sit down, we were already informed: "One drink... Then we close!" I had a good sip and my glass was already empty when my companions just sipped... So I asked kindly if I could have another drink because otherwise I would be left dry until my companions were finished... I was directed from the table to the counter by the waitress, where I was told: "If I do that, everyone will want another... No!" I then paid the bill of €16 for 3 drinks and went back to the table where my people were (in her opinion) it was better to leave your drink than to linger there. If you would like to be a customer there, I wish you a pleasant stay! The three of us, no more!

Great ambience, great food, great staff...just great.

We had a very tasty meal here. The staff was super friendly and always had something to say. All in all we had a lovely evening. The prices are also completely reasonable. The vegetarian/vegan menu is also impressive. You should make a reservation. We also made reservations and everything else was fully booked when we visited. There is free parking available, but we only just managed to get a free space.

Everything is very good, and the huge plates of food, it is a very good place with a good atmosphere, you have to wait a little, but the wait is worth it.

We had a small Christmas party with a few work colleagues at Venga in Kevelaer, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! The food was not only excellent in terms of taste, but also very attractively prepared. You felt like you were in good hands all around, because despite the rush, both the food and drinks were served promptly - a clear plus point for the service. The only thing that bothered me was the slightly loud background noise, but that can hardly be avoided in busy restaurants. All in all we had a very nice evening and I would definitely visit Venga again. Thank you for the successful evening!

We were here at lunchtime and it wasn't crowded. Our waiter was very friendly and took great care of us without being intrusive. The food was very good for everyone. Pulled pork burger and fries tasted great. We paid 70 euros with 3 people. That's pretty much in line with other "normal" restaurants. But I found the ambience and the view here much better than anywhere else.

We were there at coffee time. In our opinion it was loud even though there weren't that many guests inside. My apple strudel was a little naked without any cream or vanilla ice cream. Otherwise everything was ok.

Today we had breakfast at Venga with 7 people, the staff was totally overwhelmed. Breakfast should be buffet style. Everything was simply missing. We won't go there anymore. It's actually a shame ☹️

Very large and spacious restaurant. Very nice and modern furnishings. There was a little too little legroom at our table for me, which is probably why sitting became uncomfortable after a while. The food was good and plentiful, the prices are ok, the extras were too expensive in my opinion. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Update October 11, 2024 For me the quality of the food has decreased. We had 4 different burgers and all of the burgers were far too dry and the meat was also very dry and hard. The fries were unsalted and very limp. The extras and the drink prices are very high.

Went there last week, paid €10 for a baked potato and it wasn't tasty. The website says open until 1am on Saturdays, arrive at 11:30pm and we are told they close. Top loading shitty service

The pasta bake is very tasty and so are the waffles with hot cherries and cream. We like to eat here when we go to the Salienen.

We had pre-ordered and had dinner here with 17 people on Saturday. The menu offers a good selection of dishes.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everyone loved the food and will definitely come back. The photo shows a chili cheeseburger. Unfortunately I only have this photo. Venga earned 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

We were there for breakfast. The breakfast and the service itself were good. Breakfast is served until 11 a.m The croissants were already sold out by 10 a.m. When we asked if there were any left, we were told it would take 20 minutes and the kitchen said they weren't baking any more! It's a shame because we had just started eating breakfast and were waiting - we had also said this, after all it was still 45 minutes until 11 a.m.!

Basically a good breakfast buffet. What I didn't like: No milk with coffee, we got it in a glass from the muesli bar. Labels or descriptions on the buffet are missing. Cable to the warming station laid open. We didn't like the ham, we found it bland. Service staff not friendly to the limit.
