Buffet sehr reichhaltig. Das Highlight nicht nur für Kinder ist der Schokoladenbrunnen. Auch kann man sich viele Speisen frisch zubereiten lassen. Sushi ist auch sehr vielfältig. Die Getränke sind im Buffetpreis enthalten und alles in Selbstbedienung. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr groß, daher ist es manchmal etwas laut. Ansonsten stimmt das Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Die Außenterrasse bietet auch was für Kinder.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit großer Auswahl und viel Platz drinnen und draußen. Draußen gibt es einen kleinen Spielplatz. Dank des praktischen Grillsystems muss man nicht anstehen. Das Essen wird direkt an den Tisch gebracht. Speisen und Getränke sind inklusive. Montag bis Donnerstag: 28,90 € pro Person, Kinder bis einschließlich 3 Jahre frei, 4–6 Jahre 12,90 €, 7–11 Jahre 18,90 €. Freitag bis Sonntag: 30,90 € pro Person, 4–6 Jahre 13,90 €, 7–11 Jahre 19,90 €. Die Preise sind also durchaus angemessen. Das Personal ist freundlich und arbeitet schnell beim Abräumen, Reinigen und Servieren. Wir waren am Montag, dem 27. Juli 2026, dort.

dieses China Etablissement hat wohl letztlich, mehrfach den Pächter gewechselt. Jetzt bestimmt auch in OST. EUROPÄISCHER HAND. Das merkt man schon an dem Personal, was da herum lungert. Aber das interessiert wohl den meisten Gästen überhaupt nicht, warum auch, die Hauptsache man kann sich den unsauberen Teller volladen. Ja, unsaubere Teller, kommt auch noch dazu. Vom Essen ganz zu schweigen, wenn man überhaupt von Essen sprechen kann. Langweilig, alles schmeckt gleich, die Masse macht es eben.

Die Auswahl ist nicht sehr groß. Das Essen schmeckt ganz gut, aber nicht besonders. Positiv ist, dass die Getränke im Preis inbegriffen sind.

Das Essen war leider nicht so heiß wie gewohnt und es wurde auch nicht oft nachgelegt. Nach 4 Jahren mal wieder hier gegessen. Das Essen war überwiegend lauwarm. Die Sossen zum Teil mit Haut behaftet. Geschmacklich nichts besonderes. Besonders störend war die Lautstärke und Unruhe während unseres Besuches, wie auf einem Bahnsteig. Es hat nur noch die Durchsage des einfahrenden Zuges gefehlt. Es hat uns persönlich nicht gefallen.

Meiner Meinung nach bietet Mengu Buffet eine gute Auswahl an Speisen, inklusive Getränken. Gleichzeitig ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis angemessen. Es ist sicherlich kein Ort für ein romantisches Abendessen, aber perfekt für eine schnelle oder sättigende Mahlzeit.

Wir hatten ein köstliches Essen mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern. Wir hatten kurzfristig reserviert, was aber kein Problem war. Sowohl das Buffet als auch die Wokgerichte boten eine große Auswahl und schmeckten hervorragend. Das Restaurant war sauber und die Bedienung freundlich. Sollten wir wieder in der Gegend sein, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Schönes Restaurant am Wald inkl. Terrasse; leichtes, modernes asiatisches Ambiente. Service ist top; Speisen (gute Auswahl) sind typisch und sehr schmackhaft; Rohkost wird nach eigener Auswahl frisch zubereitet; Dessert ist böse (=furchtbar lecker) und kann zu übermäßiger Kalorienaufnahme führen. Getränke (Wasser, Softdrinks, Biere etc) sind inklusive. Preis/Leistung absolut in Ordnung (hatten das Abendbuffet). Ja, es wird VOR dem Essen gezahlt. Aus Gründen. Nicht wenige "vergessen" leider das Zahlen nach dem Essen. Sanitär: ich frage mich warum Menschen (Gäste) Papier auf den Boden werfen, den Ort generell schlampig hinterlassen. Gleiche Meinung bei hier abgegeben Bewertungen die Unfreundlichkeit besagen - wie es in den Wald ruft, so schallt es heraus. Sei freundlich so kommt dir Freundlichkeit entgegen. Wir werden sehr gern wiederkommen.

Große Auswahl an Speisen der asiatischen Küche. Ebenso große Auswahl an Warm- und Kaltgetränken. Freundliche Servicekräfte. Individuelle Speisenzubereitung möglich. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Das Personal ist langweilig, sitzt nur da und chattet mit seinen Handys. Man erfährt nichts über den Restaurantbetrieb. Nur vom Koch. Die Angestellten spielen lieber mit ihren Smartphones, na ja … die Lage im Wald ist wunderschön. Das Gebäude ist stark renovierungsbedürftig, die Toiletten sind völlig inakzeptabel, aber das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend.

Wir waren dort zum Abendbuffet. Leider haben wir einen falschen Tisch gewählt, uns gegenüber stapelten sich die Getränkekisten, was nicht unbedingt für ein behagliches Ambiente sorgte. Gewöhnungbedürftig ist, das Kühlschränke aufgestellt sind und sich jeder selbst mit Getränken versorgen / bedienen muss. Aber ok.... - Das Buffet bietet für jeden etwas und hält eine große Auswahl bereit. Geschmacklich ist das Buffet gut, daran gibt es nichts zu meckern. Allerdings bei der Sauberkeit, diese ist extrem verbesserungswürdig. Als wir dort waren, fanden wir verschmutzte Teller und Schüsseln unter den sauberen vor. Der Bereich mit Sojasoße und Sambaole, sah sehr unappetitlich aus. Unsere Fazit - eigentlich gerne wieder, aber beim Ambiente ( Leergutkisten stehen einfach gestapelt rum ) der gelangweilte Service sollte mehr auf Sauberkeit achten, ist noch viel Luft nach oben.......

Sehr leckere Speisen am Buffet und der frische Grill ist auch super 👍. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der Preis ist okay, man bezahlt schon beim Reinkommen und kann dann soviel essen und trinken wie man mag. Auch gibt es noch ein Nachtisch Buffet. 😊Es war alles sehr lecker 😋

War am 28.05.26 spontan mittags am Buffet. Preis-Leistung waren total in Ordnung! Getränke und div. Kaffees inklusive. Es sind wohl mal wieder Leute unterwegs, die zuhause den Kitt aus den Fenstern knabbern und aus Langeweile schlechte Bewertungen schreiben.

Alles gut, nur steigen leider die Preise.

Waren mit 9 Personen zum Mittagsbuffet dort. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, das man vorher bezahlen muss, aber im Endeffekt doch ganz angenehm, da auch alle Getränke inkl sind und man so nicht auch einen Kellner zum zahlen warten muss. Essen hat gut geschmeckt 👍 Nachtrag: Abendbuffet nicht nur ein bisschen, sondern deutlich teurer.

Sehr schönes Restaurant Auswahl ist in Ordnung sind öfters dort manchmal ist das Essen ein Traum manchmal eher ein Flop woran das liegt keine ahnung vlt verschiedene Köche heute zb wahr der gebratene reis matschig und wässrig und das Fleisch sehr trocken ansonsten sind wir gerne dort preis ist leider übertrieben geworden daher gehen wir seltener dort hin über 30€ pro Person ist schon heftig

Ich kann es definitiv nicht empfehlen; trotz der offiziellen Preisliste wird man beim Bezahlen pro Person abgezockt. Sonntag – der Preis von 15:00 bis 17:00 Uhr sollte 26,90 € betragen, wir haben aber 30,90 € bezahlt. Wir kamen um 16:00 Uhr an. Die Begründung des Mitarbeiters: Wir sind um 17:15 Uhr gegangen! Nachdem wir auf die Diskrepanz in der Rechnung hingewiesen hatten, machte der Mitarbeiter hinter unserem Rücken unhöfliche Bemerkungen, was ich als völlig unangemessen empfand. Bitte behalten Sie Ihre unhöflichen Bemerkungen beim nächsten Mal für sich, da Kunden verschiedene Sprachen sprechen.

Das Essen war gut, aber zwischen 15:00 und 17:00 Uhr hätte der Preis 26,90 € pro Person betragen sollen. Wir haben beim Betreten des Restaurants um 16:00 Uhr nicht aufgepasst und uns wurden 30,90 € ohne Quittung berechnet. Beim Verlassen des Restaurants wurden wir dann hinausgeworfen. Wir fühlten uns als Gruppe betrogen, daher vergebe ich nur einen Stern.

Perfektes Restaurant! Sehr schön eingerichtet, kein Bahnofshallen-Flair, super viel Auswahl an Speisen und Getränke. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Der Besuch war leider eher enttäuschend. Das Restaurant war schlichtweg überfüllt, unter anderem durch zwei große Gesellschaften. Die Folge: Eine unendlich lange Schlange am Buffet – wir mussten fast 30 Minuten warten, bis wir überhaupt an die Reihe kamen. ​Leider waren dann viele Speisen bereits leer. Das Personal war zwar bemüht, schnell nachzufüllen, kam aber sichtlich nicht hinterher. Auch mein Grill-Gericht dauerte über 30 Minuten und kam dann leider nur noch kalt am Tisch an. Besonders unruhig war es, weil sich die Gäste mit ihren Tellern durch die Warteschlangen kämpfen mussten und dabei ständig gegen unsere Stühle stießen. Für die gebotene Unruhe leider kein schönes Erlebnis.

Leckeres Essen, angenehme Atmosphäre

Vormittags mäßige Auswahl, die Qualität variiert, ist aber durchschnittlich recht gut. Das Ambiente entspricht den Erwartungen; ein typischer "Asia Buffet Laden" halt. Pluspunkte gibt es für die Getränke (kalt & heiß), die hier inklusive sind.

Waren heute mit 13 Personen da. Alles wieder wunderbar. Obwohl es sehr voll gewesen ist, wurden die leeren Teller schnell abgeräumt. Kommen gerne wieder 🙋🏼‍♀️.

Ich denke das kann kein Zufall sein , beim letzten Besuch hatte mein Neffe nach dem Essen schwere Magenprobleme .Nun waren meine Frau und ich am Sylvester dort . Wir beide haben das Gefühl eine Lebensmittelvergiftung zu haben, sind beide krank geworden. Getränke sind Top , da in original Flaschen daher der 1 Stern . Wir werden dort aber nicht mehr essen gehen , das Mittag Menü meiner Meinung wird immer schlechter und weniger Auswahl als vor Jahren und teils nicht richtig warm . Hier sollte das Ordnungsamt /Kontrolle Lebensmittel mehr überprüfen . Für uns war es das bei Mengu , werden es meiden da man nicht weiss was einen erwartet , mal kann es gut sein mal muss man mit einer Lebensmittelvergiftung rechnen , das ist auch die Getränkeflat nicht wert krank zu werden .

Really bad experience...they don't knows how to cut the meat🙏 BE careful...in the end they ask if you want tea but it is not an offer...i paied 28 euros just for the tea for everyone. Sadly i don t recomend.

The food is good for the price, however, about 80% of the new male staff are arrogant and unfriendly. Negative, condescending communication and staring at guests are inappropriate.

It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely go again next year when I'm back in Kleve.

With 30.75 Euro pP on a Sunday afternoon it is rather pricey, even if drinks are included. Overall you do get a various selection on offer, yet to me personally nothing out of the ordinary and for that, there are probably other good places with are a less expensive alternative.

We often use an app to pick up leftovers from the buffet, and I have to say I'd love to do it every day. Such delicious food for such a low price... You just don't find that anywhere else around here. The staff are incredibly friendly too! The food, as is typical of buffets, is tasty but nothing special. The service is good, and drinks are included in the price. It's worth stopping by every now and then.

We visited Mengu Buffet and were absolutely thrilled! The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The buffet offers a fantastic selection – everything was fresh, delicious, and varied. We were particularly impressed by the hot dishes and the freshly prepared specialties. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel comfortable. The value for money is also excellent! We will definitely be back – highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good food and a great buffet! 🍽️👏

The food is perfectly fine, but the noise level is awful. On top of that, there are children running around the restaurant and playing with the food at the buffet. It's just not necessary.

Unfortunately, it wasn't even remotely cozy; it felt more like a large train station. The buffet had shrunk considerably, and the chocolate fountain was tastelessly covered with foil and wasn't used. There were five of us, and we all agreed it was our last visit.

Directly in the entrance area, you're greeted by a 1.5-meter-high stack of empty bottle crates on the left. The clatter and clinking of bottles being deposited there is never-ending. This is not a good place for empty bottles. The tables are very old, and in some cases the veneer is sagging or even missing. The service is friendly and quick (clearing away used dishes and bottles). The food is rather mediocre, but there should be something for everyone. Disinfectant gel is available at every table (unfortunately, it has been expired for two years). For €31, you'd generally expect a bit more (the buffet price on a Sunday evening).

Unfortunately, you can't rely on the prices listed here; they're around €30 per person, but you get everything you need. The taste is okay, but there are better options, but there are also worse options. Overall, I'd say it's worth it; the service here was very good.

Mengu Buffet Kevelaer, We visited Mengu for the first time yesterday. At 5:30 p.m., we were almost the first guests, but the restaurant quickly filled up within an hour. There's plenty of space inside, but you could also sit outside if the weather's nice. The buffet selection was very extensive and delicious, with freshly cooked or grilled food also available/included. We paid €30.90 per person including drinks (weekend). The interior is decorated in a typical restaurant style, but the outside area needs some updating/maintenance. Drinks are available self-service from refrigerators. There's also a coffee machine with various coffee specialties. 4 stars overall due to the unsightly outside area, otherwise delicious!

The Mengu buffet has a very good selection. I prefer to have it freshly prepared. I choose the meat and vegetables in the kitchen, and they're brought to my table freshly prepared. I think it's great that all drinks are included in the price of this buffet. I definitely think it's great value for money. My only minor criticism was that some of the desserts were still a bit frozen. But that wasn't a problem; it was still tasty.

If there was ever 100stars, this place deserves because its 100/100. Service is quick and great, very neat and comfortable, great parking place, the food is super tasty.the price above all is very affordable and worth every cent.Absolutely nothing bad to say.

We were there for dinner. The buffet, including drinks, cost €29 per person, and it was a great value! The food was fresh and delicious, with a wide selection. The included drinks were also really good. Vio lemonade, Coca-Cola, iced tea, beer, wine, and coffee. The price is also reasonable. Nothing to complain about. Nothing cheap, and everything in original bottles. Top-notch. There was fresh salad, various fruits, sushi, various types of fish, and of course, the classics: duck, chicken, fried rice, etc.

We were there on July 5, 2025, and everyone was very impressed. The food was excellent, and whenever something ran out, they quickly refilled it. The freshly prepared grilled meats were also impressive. The prices were reasonable for what was on offer. A buffet during peak times cost 30.90 per person, including drinks and grilled food.

The food and service were great. Coming from the Netherlands, this place is quite affordable with plenty of buffet choices, and it includes the drinks. The only thing that can improve is an AC or fan for the indoor area during summer. We'll definitely come back for more.

We come here regularly with the whole family to eat. It's cozy and, apart from the large buffet and the grill, all drinks, whether hot or cold, with or without alcohol, are included.

For the price, what is offered is okay

We've been there several times, either as a couple or with several people. I really like the fact that you pay in advance. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The selection is huge. For the price, you can't complain at all. So far, we've enjoyed everything, and we only go here when we want Chinese food. We've been to other places, but there's not nearly as much selection, and depending on what day/time you go, around €30 per person is really fair. Elsewhere, you'd be much busier with drinks and a meal without an appetizer or dessert. No matter what others say about you, we're totally satisfied and love coming here for delicious food.

You can eat here for a good price. Regularly visited this restaurant between 11:30 and 14:30.

Love love love this place! Went there for the first time last week and it was amazing. The food tasted fresh. Everything was labeled nicely. The staff was friendly and relaxed. It was clean. They cleaned your table quickly which was amazing. The wok was really fast as well. It was just an amazing experience! Definitely worth the money! The only thing that could be fixed is that it gets really warm so some AC or ventilators would be awesome. But you are able to sit outside so that's always possible. Wish I could go back soon their sushi is too good!
