Vegöner - Vegan Döner und Fast Food in Nürnberg

Das Essen ist nicht nur köstlich, sondern auch reichlich, und zu jeder Spende gibt es kostenlos Kaffee und Tee. Ein kleines, aber feines Lokal!

Fahre jede Woche ein - bis zweimal ca. 40km nach Nürnberg (seit vielen Jahren), da ich diesen Vegöner wirklich liebe. Oft nehme ich auch Freunde mit und alle sind immer begeistert, egal ob vegan oder nicht. Warum ich trotzdem keine 5 Sterne gebe? Weil ich mich immer wieder ärgere, dass die Portionen mittlerweile stark in ihrer Größe variieren und weil sie es nicht schaffen, Pommes ordentlich zuzubereiten. Vegöner war bekannt für, pflanzlich, lecker, reichlich und ist nun oftmals ziemlich mau und "leer". Und Pommes, statt sie in bereits ordentlich erhitzten Öl zu frittieren, werden sie in die heruntergefahrene Fritteuse gepfeffert und dann erst auf Hitze gebracht (Immer!). Somit erhält man weiche, voll Fett getränkte gelbe Stäbchen ohne Crunch! Personal ist stets super freundlich 🙏🏻👍🏻

Der beste vegane Döner zubereitet von sympathischen und entspannten Leuten in einem sauberen Lokal und angenehmer Atmosphäre. Beim nächsten Mal in der Gegend kommen wir definitiv wieder vorbei.

Ich war heute mit meinen Freunden hier, alles ist sehr gut, die Leute sind freundlich und das Essen ist köstlich – fünf Sterne!

Sehr leckeres veganes Essen und sehr nettes Personal. Nur zu empfehlen. Große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken.

Wieder einmal: schmeckt echt Super! Alles: „Fleisch“, Gemüse/Salat, Soße!

Einer der leckersten Döner, die ich je gegessen habe und das komplett ohne Tierleid. Super entspannte Atmosphäre, faire Preise und ein megafreundlicher Verkäufer. Bin echt froh, den Laden entdeckt zu haben.

(april 2024) komplett falsche bestellung bekommen. statt 2x dürüm haben wir 2 normale döner bekommen & bei einem wollten wir nur salat & sonst kein gemüse: haben jedes gemüse & kein „fleisch“ bekommen 🤨 auch der hotdog, der „ohne alles“ bestellt wurde, kam mit allem drum herum - ansonsten geschmacklich wirklich top. mit abstand der beste vegane döner in der stadt! 🌱 leider wirklich schwacher service. :( (januar 2026) bei den letzten besuchen, hat es immer einwandfrei geklappt mit der richtigen bestellung! :) & immer noch der meinung, dass es der beste vegane döner in der stadt ist! 🫶🏻

Wie viele andere Leute auch esse ich Fleisch nicht, weil es mir nicht schmeckt, sondern aus ethischen Gründen. Was den Vegöner meiner Meinung nach so besonders macht, er ist geschmacklich besser als all seine Fleischpendants, die ich jemals gegessen habe - einschließlich die um fünf Uhr in der Nacht nach einem Club-Besuch ;). Die Auswahl an veganen Gerichten ist zum Glück in den letzten Jahren enorm gestiegen, auch hier spielt der Vegöner in der absoluten Königsklasse.

Bester veganer Döner in Nürnberg. 😊 Wir waren hier schon oft essen und sind jedes Mal begeistert.

Nicht immer, aber immer öfter - der Vegöner ist einfach super!

Vegöner war ohne Übertreibung das absolute Highlight unserer kulinarischen Reise. Und das will etwas heißen – wir haben wirklich fast jedes vegane Restaurant in Nürnberg ausprobiert. Der Service war einfach super: herzlich, schnell und total entspannt. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Meine Freundin und ich haben uns zunächst einen Dürüm geteilt – und der war so unfassbar gut, dass ich mir direkt danach noch einen Döner gegönnt habe. Absolut keine Reue, im Gegenteil 😄 Geschmacklich war alles auf den Punkt: saftig, perfekt gewürzt und einfach rund. Genau diese Art von Essen, bei der man nach dem letzten Bissen kurz innehält und weiß, dass man gerade etwas Besonderes gegessen hat. Ich kann jetzt schon sagen: Ich werde dieses Essen extrem in der Heimat vermissen. Wenn wir wieder in Nürnberg sind, ist Vegöner der allererste Stopp – ohne Diskussion. Danke für dieses Erlebnis! 🌱🥙

Tolle vegane Auswahl, der Kebab war lecker und der Salat gut. Currywurst und Pommes waren heiß und köstlich. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Delicious! Absolutely the best vegan döner. Completely vegan. They also have lots of other vegan dishes (burgers and soups), but I mostly just eat the döner. You absolutely have to try it! Also a great alternative for non-vegans ☺️

It was my first time there. Very, very tasty! I tried several different dishes: veggie kebab, currywurst, and fries. Everything was delicious. Excellent value for money. All vegan and freshly prepared to my liking :)

A very good, hearty meat substitute is perfectly combined with other fresh, vegan ingredients in this simple but attractive snack bar. The vegan burger is very easy to eat and doesn't make a mess, and since the staff is also friendly, I'm giving it 5 stars. Update from 2025: Everything's as usual. The quality seems consistent to me.

Simply the best vegan kebab. I love it. The employees are always so friendly. You immediately feel at home when you walk into the shop. It's usually super quick, too. It depends on how busy it is. But I never have to wait too long.

Personally, I found the meat substitute too sweet. Otherwise, it tastes great overall :) The portions are generous, too. I also think it's great that they offer other dishes like goulash, burgers, currywurst, or daily specials.

I'm only a "part-time vegan," but shops like this make it very easy to resist "carnal temptations"! Often, vegan products are more for those with a passion for their food: good for the cause, mediocre in taste, but a dürüm at Vegöner is simply delicious! Great, rich filling, amazing creamy sauce, all lovingly thrown on the contact grill... whenever I get a dürüm craving, I go there, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience that plant-based meals can be damn delicious and don't have to hide from their animal counterparts! Oh yes, the staff there are always very pleasant and friendly too :)

We love the Vegöner. There's something for everyone. I love the box, our son loves the Dürüm or the Vegöner, and my husband loves the Vegöner plate. It's always incredibly delicious. In the summer, we like to sit outside on the benches, and in the winter, inside by the window. We're not really into discount collectors, but the stamp card is definitely worth it for us.

If you're willing to endure the world's worst pun and a long wait, you're ready for the best vegan kebab in town. This place doesn't disappoint, absolutely recommended.

A good place to go for a vegan döner and kebab. Also, they do have really tasty desserts. My tip is to ask for more sauce, it makes it even better.

Super tasty vegan kebab, unfortunately the packaging doesn't keep warm for very long (but it is environmentally friendly) and a little more salt would have been nice. Otherwise, really large and fairly priced portions, cool location, child-friendly snack bar and nice service. Would definitely recommend it!

It's a super nice vegan place. I really liked the atmosphere which has an alternative and cool spirit. There are not so many seats, so it's rather a take away place I'd say .. but that's of course very typical for a döner place. The vegöner itself was tasty and a good size. Definitely recommended ☺️

It's not a kebab - it's Vegöner! And it's damn delicious. The friendly service and the student-alternative charm of the restaurant complete the overall picture. And as a (dairy-free) icing on the cake, coffee and tea are free on a donation basis ❤️

Awesome shop with super delicious vegan food. The “Kebab” is outstanding and the other changing lunch dishes such as pumpkin stew or vegan currywurst are also highly recommended. Nobody needs meat here! Great!

Highly recommended! The Vegöner is really great. It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious kebab, maybe never before. And the prices are incredibly good for the huge portions. 7 euros for a kebab that really fills you up.

Doner kebabs and cheeseburgers are by far the best I've ever eaten - regardless of the city. A regular guest for years and always a must when visiting home. It's a shame that there is no branch in Berlin!

It's ok as an alternative, but the service is so bad and the employees are so unfriendly, incompetent and bored that I don't want to go there anymore. It was also too complicated for the employee to top one half without onions. Likewise, you couldn't order anything half an hour before closing time. This would be understandable in a restaurant, but incomprehensible in a snack bar.

Super tasty food, the portion is very filling. Cheap prices and there is free tea and coffee with your meal! We really liked the atmosphere too :-)

Unfortunately I expected more than it ended up being. The “meat” had a strange aftertaste and we didn’t like it. We also got the wrong sauce and totally over-salted fries. Combined with a long wait, it was not a recommendable experience.

The best vegan kebab, the best vegan currywurst and some of the best vegan burgers ever. The prices are unbeatable and the staff is more than friendly. I've eaten a lot of vegan kebabs, all of which were significantly more expensive and didn't taste anywhere near as good. Clear recommendation!!

The best vegan fast food I've ever eaten! Not just good, well actually incredibly good, kebabs but also hot dogs and burgers. Highly recommended, unfortunately a bit out of the way. It's a snack bar, like any kebab shop, so the ambience is secondary in my opinion.

The quality of the food was mediocre to poor. The taste was tolerable and nothing special. However, I found the service really unfriendly. As soon as you ordered, you could tell that he didn't feel like being there. He could have saved himself from rolling his eyes while placing the order. I'm disappointed.

Actually very nice guys but the kebab was inedible

I actually think it's stupid and unnecessary to complain, but unfortunately it has to be done today. Today was basically my "farewell" to Vegöner because I'm moving away from Johannis soon, so I was twice as excited about it. We were there promptly at 11:00 and were the second customers of the day. Ordered quickly and my friend's Vegöner plate also arrived relatively quickly. My Vegöner box and the Vegöner to take away were a long time coming. After 40 minutes and after a number of customers had carried their food out of the store (maybe a few pre-orders, but certainly not all), I asked again, but was more or less ignored and just looked at in annoyance. After another 10 minutes the food was ready. Ordered box without onions - 1/3 of the contents were onions. And the fries were undercooked, probably because they kindly wanted to hurry up after my order was forgotten. I'm used to a lot of Vegöner and have a lot of patience, but today it was unfortunately a failure. At least saying goodbye won't be so difficult.

In terms of food, it's great. As a vegan, I am really happy about alternatives like this. However, I also appreciate a certain amount of basic decency, which includes friendly greetings and farewells. Even unasked whispers don't have to happen, no matter how "alternative" you are.

We ate here on the way home from vacation and were very happy with the food. Something really great has been achieved here and there should be more companies or "restaurants" that offer such good, completely plant-based food at extremely fair prices. Hot drinks are even available here for free based on donations!! The staff were also extremely friendly, thank you very much and would be happy to come back :)

Best vegan kebab I've eaten so far. Above all, I have never had a vegan kebab with such fresh herbs and vegetables. You just feel well nourished after eating. I got two and the other one still tasted really good even the next day. Highly recommended. (:

It's a shame since we were there a few minutes before closing time, the lady unfortunately didn't give us anything else. However, she had looked at the clock beforehand and then she said everything was empty. At Augustinerstr they are much more collegial. We called specifically but unfortunately didn't reach anyone so that we could pick up the food when ordered.

Really delicious food, definitely one of the best vegan kebabs I've tried :) the sauces are really great and there are often delicious vegan desserts too, I can totally recommend the baklava, for example!

The best vegan döner in the neighborhood and maybe in the city. Good sauces (and it is critical for vegan food) and very generous portions! I love also fresh and crunchy veggies. During lunch-rush hour sometimes you need to wait a bit, so it’s worth calling before picking it up.

Super nice and professional staff and for me the taste is my unsurpassed favorite kebab! Prices are very reasonable compared to other vegan kebabs in the area, I also love that it's a really colorful, quaint shop with charm. We eat here regularly and really enjoy it!
