Vegan 5 course menu was very good

Generally highly recommended for vegans! Everything we ate was very tasty. The vegan rolled roast was relatively expensive at €25.90. The dark beer was very tasty for the first 15-20 minutes / but loses carbonation very quickly. So after 30 minutes it was a bit pale... a shame.

I visited the vegan brewery on a Friday evening with a reservation and the restaurant was well filled with guests. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very simple and a bit old. I didn't feel particularly well. The service was friendly but unfortunately not very attentive, probably because there was a lot was going on. I thought the selection of dishes was very good and the dishes looked very impressive. I was particularly disappointed in the taste of the soup, which was hardly salted. The roast was prepared with a lot of love, but not particularly special. I would come back with vegan friends if necessary, perhaps with different expectations - I was thinking more of a rustic brewery atmosphere.

Elegant restaurant, service very friendly, a little more expensive, ideal for a special evening. This restaurant shows that vegan food can do much more. A little food like grandma's but with an extravagant twist. Would come again.

Such a fantastic shop! Everything we ate was ultra delicious. The service is also great. It's unbelievable that we didn't notice this gem much sooner. We will definitely come by more often now.

The restaurant is cozy and the service makes you feel very welcome. As a starter we had the currywurst, which had a good taste and consistency, and the chickpea fries, which were crunchy, but accompanied by a disappointing dip (lemon thyme aioli). For the main course we chose the very tasty kohlrabi with celery and Brussels sprouts, although the kohlrabi was braised far too soft, as well as the miso spaetzle, which tasted okay but was far too soft and mushy, which could not be attributed to the vegan version ! Conclusion: worthwhile but with room for improvement. We will do another test when we get the chance Lammert

Extraordinary vegan food in a lovely atmosphere with excellent self-brewed beers and homemade lemonades. The recommended menu was superb, would highly recommend. Probably the best vegan food in Berlin

Monthly changing Main Courses, this month german-greek cuisine. In Octobre we had a taste rich Moussaka Variant and a juicy Seitanbraten. Definitely recommended!

A great restaurant. The food is excellent and varied, the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. You feel like you're in the living room with friends. The prices aren't cheap but it's worth it. Everything is vegan :) and there is even home-brewed beer.

100% Vegan menu. Everything we tried was delicious. Curry wurst with braised onions and white bean soup as starters, then spaetzle and seitan roast entrees. Small beer menu, but the Vaust Pils was really good and the sour, good without syrup (and as an American, not used to adding items to beer, I added raspberry syrup to the second half, very tasty). Dinner comes with bread service and a delicious oil and herb mixture for dipping. Nice touch was a lit candle for the table.

Decided to try German food and found vegan Vaust. Almost didn't stay due to the less than great decor and few patrons. But glad we did! Service was great and the food even better. Several gluten free options. We ordered the seitan steak and the moussaka.....and wish we had more!

Abbiamo scelto di cenare qui durante l'ultima sera del nostro soggiorno a Berlino, e si è rivelata una scelta eccellente per concludere la nostra vacanza. Il ristorante si trova in una strada tranquilla, è pulito e l'atmosfera è resa ancora più piacevole dal personale cordiale e accogliente. Il menù, seppur limitato, è curato nei minimi dettagli, e ogni piatto è una vera delizia per il palato. Consiglio vivamente questo locale a chiunque desideri coccolarsi con una cucina vegana tedesca di alta qualità.

We were very happy to try out a completely vegan restaurant again. The service was friendly and asked about ingredients in the kitchen. The ambience was ok but nothing special, seemed like any run-of-the-mill restaurant. The food was okay, I didn't like the rolled roast but the lasagne was good, but the prices are completely exorbitant. At over €20 per main course, we expected a large portion but the plates were small and we weren't full. Very unfortunate. Conclusion: it was ok but we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately a bit narrow and also very loud. Food and service good, but also priced at the top of the normal scale.

Without words... or: A sentence with an X was probably nothing!... or: Hunger drives it in! Coming from the Rhineland, Vaust was always our first vegan port of call. But apparently the shop is on the verge of collapse: reheated, old food, tough and completely overpriced! Really a complete disgrace!!! We really can't recommend it any more. The home-brewed beer tasted stale and bland! We were happy to voluntarily forego the wine and dessert. It's a real shame - we knew it differently... For 2 warmed dishes 50 euros is awesome! The waiter didn't even ask if we liked it. The tip was very small (1.50 euros), after all he can't do anything for the lousy food...

We "only" had the vegan currywurst with chickpea fries and a variety of beer, but it was super tasty and cozy, the beer (light and dark) was tasty. Ambience rustic and cozy. Service was a bit reserved but super nice. We felt very comfortable and would come again on our next trip to Berlin.

We had the 5 course menu. That was great for me so I didn't have to order my "standard dishes". Every course tasted wonderful and had something special. Overall, the store is a bit more expensive. But if you want to treat yourself to something, it's worth it.

Service hat leider keine Wohlfühl-und Willkommensatmosphäre ausgestrahlt. Beide Damen blickten die ganze Zeit miesepetrig drein, kein freundliches Hallo, kein War alles in Ordnung.. Na jut bei den Preisen wird zumindest das Essen voll überzeugen und über die fehlende Kundenfreundlichkeit hinweg trösten. Gedacht und leider enttäuscht. Pommes mit Trüffel Mayo waren okay (knusprig trocken, Mayo fad). Sauerbraten leider auch zu fad. Kein Geschmackserlebnis und Portionen für die Preise teils zu klein. Pannacotta "Klecks" für 10,50€ schon fast unverschämt. Bei so vielen guten Bewertungen hätte ich nicht mit einer derartigen Enttäuschung gerechnet. Schon vieles in Berlin ausprobiert, das Vaust kann ich leider nicht weiter empfehen. Sehr schade 😔

Das vegane 5-Gang-Menü im Vaust (Berlin-Charlottenburg) hat auch im November 2023 wieder unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Es bestand aus: Wildreissalat, Perlgraupenrisotto, Hochzeitssuppe, Kartoffelklößen und süßen Piroggen. Wir besuchen das Vaust regelmäßig seit inzwischen 10 Jahren. Es nennt sich noch immer ›Brauereigaststätte‹ (zu Recht, ihr Pils ist lecker), empfiehlt sich aber inzwischen vor allem mit ihren Menüs den pflanzlich speisenden Feinschmeckern unter uns. Die verwendeten Zutaten sind (wo möglich) Bio und schmeckbar bester Qualität. Heraus kommen Köstlichkeiten, die man in der eigenen Küche so wohl kaum zaubern kann. Wer in erster Linie hungrig ist oder eher deftige Speisen mag, für den sind die Vor- und Hauptspeisen auf der Speisekarte die geeignete Wahl. Das ›Vaust‹ hat einen Stammplatz unter den Veganen Restaurants in Berlin, ganz klar im obersten Segment. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

best vegan german restaurant in berlin!! i go there every other week to treat myself with the panisse or vespa platte. it’s a very romantic restaurant with candles on every table and cute tiles on the wall. this is a great place to take someone on a date or eat with your parents or anyone whose opinion matters to you, doesn’t matter if they’re vegan or not. they have changing menus. during summer and on fridays you should make a reservation.

Ein komplett veganes Restaurant, welches sich auf deutsche Küche spezialisiert hat, kann in Berlin nur ein Erfolgsmodell sein! Dazu war auch noch alles was wir probiert haben - von der Vesperplatte, über Spätzle und Schnitzel, bis hin zu dem dunklen Schokokuchen - super lecker! Definitiv nicht unser letzter Besuch & eine klare Empfehlung!

Alles vegan. War teilweise sehr gut! Teilweise so naja. Soweit aber alles okay. Personal super freundlich, fehlt bisschen Aufmerksamkeit, aber sobald man jemand anspricht, passiert auch sofort was. Fotos leider nicht in die richtige Reihenfolge bekommen, aber Vorspeisenplatte, Hauptgang und Nachtisch. Die Platte kann man gut mit mehreren teilen und sich durchprobieren, das ist sehr schön. Alles in Allem würde ich es mal empfehlen, wenn man ein bisschen Geld über hat und vegane Küche auskundschaften will.

Beer and Wine You have to enjoy the award-winning Pilsener from the restaurant's own microbrewery and also their wine collection is top-notch. 2. Food A good choice of seasonal dishes and several typical german dishes are delicious, and you wouldn't notice that they are 100% vegan. 3. Classic atmosphere inside and also tables outside in this nice quarter of B. Prices: Worth the quality but not expensive.

Extremely Disappointing Dining Experience on My Birthday I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my recent visit to this restaurant. My husband and I had high hopes for a memorable evening, but it turned out to be a nightmarish experience that left us deeply dissatisfied. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that something was amiss. The staff's impolite demeanor was immediately noticeable, but we hoped that it was just an isolated incident. Unfortunately, our optimism was short-lived. After an extended wait, one of the staff members finally took our order, but that marked the beginning of an even worse ordeal. We patiently chatted amongst ourselves while time passed, unaware that an hour had elapsed without any sign of our food. It was only when we decided to inquire about our order that we were met with sheer incompetence. The individual who initially took our order seemed to misunderstand our inquiry, assuming we were ready to settle the bill! When we clarified that we were still (after one hour) awaiting our meal, a woman informed us that the order slip had been misplaced in the kitchen. This was an appalling lapse in professionalism ontheir part, and it left us both bewildered and frustrated. What was even more disheartening was the fact that, despite the considerable inconvenience and disappointment we endured, the restaurant failed to offer even a token gesture of apology. A simple acknowledgment of the mistake and an attempt to make amends would have gone a long way in salvaging the evening, but this was conspicuously absent. To make matters worse, this visit held special significance for me as it was my birthday celebration. I had been eagerly looking forward to dining at this restaurant, and my excitement was shattered by the incompetence and indifference displayed by the staff. I was so distraught by the experience that I found myself shedding tears right there in the restaurant. I had never imagined that a restaurant, especially one with a reputation like that, would treat its patrons with such a lack of respect and professionalism. We entered the restaurant with courtesy and patience, only to be subjected to an ordeal that has left me deeply traumatized. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure that other patrons do not have to endure the same distressing experience. It is my sincere hope that this restaurant can regain the reputation it once had, but based on our recent encounter, I am left with serious doubts. Leider war unsere Zuversicht nur von kurzer Dauer. Nach einer langen Wartezeit nahm endlich ein Mitarbeiter unsere Bestellung auf, aber das markierte den Beginn eines noch schlimmeren Missgeschicks. Wir unterhielten uns geduldig, während die Zeit verging, ohne dass unsere Bestellung ankam. Erst als wir nach unserem Essen fragten, stellten wir fest, dass eine Stunde vergangen war, ohne dass Anzeichen unserer Mahlzeit zu sehen waren. Es war nur, als wir nach unserem Auftrag fragten, dass wir auf pure Inkompetenz stießen. Die Person, die zunächst unsere Bestellung aufgenommen hatte, schien unsere Anfrage misszuverstehen und ging davon aus, dass wir bereit waren, die Rechnung zu begleichen. Als wir klarstellten, dass wir immer noch auf unser Essen warteten, informierte uns eine Frau, dass der Bestellschein in der Küche verloren gegangen sei. Dies war ein schockierendes Versagen in Sachen Professionalität und ließ uns sowohl verwirrt als auch frustriert zurück. Um die Sache noch schlimmer zu machen, hatte dieser Besuch für mich eine besondere Bedeutung, da es meine Geburtstagsfeier war.

Die Vorspeisen waren alle sehr gut und ausgefallen, ebenso die Desserts. Allerdings waren wir alle mit unserer Hauptspeise nicht so zufrieden: die Pfifferlinge waren sehr wässrig und geschmacksneutral, mit hat der geräucherte Kartoffelbrei nicht so gut geschmeckt, der Rauchgeschmack war zu stark. Insgesamt fand ich die Speisen zu teuer für die gebotene Qualität.

Sehr entspannte Atmosphäre, Menü und Service auch Englisch, Speisen lecker, unbedingte Empfehlung: Mango-Chilli Limo, Kichererbsen-Pommes und Schokoladenkuchen! Die Portionen dürften gern etwas größer sein (Roulade, Maultaschen).

Das Essen und der Service sind ganz ganz außergewöhnlich und wunderbar.

Als Veganer war ich auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant in Berlin, das meine Vorliebe für rein pflanzliche Gerichte erfüllen kann. Meine Recherche führte mich schließlich zu Vaust - und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Vaust ist zweifellos ein Juwel unter den veganen Restaurants und hat meine Erwartungen bei Weitem übertroffen! 😇 Das Essen sieht wahnsinnig schön aus und allein es nur anzusehen bereitet einem Freude. Aber nicht nur die Ästhetik überzeugt hier, sondern auch der Geschmack ist einfach phänomenal. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, verschiedene Gerichte von der Speisekarte zu probieren, und jedes einzelne hat mich positiv überrascht. Ich hatte heute den Spinatsalat (mit einem super leckerem Dressing - alles vegan) und die Mangold Roulade. Bin schwer beeindruckt. Die Qualität der Zutaten spricht für sich. Ich finde es toll, dass das Restaurant rein vegan ist, da somit auch die richtigen ethischen Werte, welche meiner Meinung nach sehr wichtig sind vertreten werden. Ein Restaurant ohne Tierleid, in welchem man sehr guten Gewissens essen gehen kann. Finde ich toll. 🫶🏼 Das Servicepersonal im Vaust ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie kennen sich bestens mit den Gerichten aus und beraten gerne bei der Auswahl. 😊 Ich bin ganz glücklich. Vielen Dank!

Why oh why do we come back here? The experience is always the same- the food is ok but tonight amounted to variations on "fry a croquet an fill it with something then drown in tasteless sauce." We really would like to support the neighborhood vegan place but paying 75 euros for this is just insulting. (lets not mention the 6 euro wine repackaged as 9 euros for .1 ml). To add to he experience is waiting over almost one hour for the main course to arrive. I don't get what other reviewers see in this place but its clearly an Emperor That Has No Clothes situation. We won't be going back.

Das Essen war gut, doch nach der Nachfrage des bereits bestellten Desserts, wurde das Dessert auf den Tisch geworfen. Der Kellner war von der Formulierung beleidigt, doch hat dies nicht direkt angesprochen sondern uns stattdessen, kurz angebunden, aufgefordert zu gehen. Selbst auf die unaufgeforderte Entschuldigung hat er nicht reagiert. Muss man selber wissen, ob man wegen dem Service oder dem Essen gehen möchte.

Vaust - ist eine wunderbare Bereicherung bei den veganen Restaurants. Der Abend war begleitet von einem sehr aufmerksamen Service. Alle Gerichte, vom Monatsmenü über das Seitangeschnetzelte auf Pfannenbrot bis zu den Misospätzle waren sehr innovativ und geschmacklich Top. Unser Geheimtip sind die Currywurst und die Kichererbsen- Pommes. Das selbstgebraute Bier ist empfehlenswert. Und auch bei den Weinen kann man aus einem kleinen, qualitativ sehr guten Angebot wählen. Insgesamt wirklich sehr empfehlenswert.

Had some hours to spend in Berlin between two bus trips. Found this cute little bar/restaurant. The food was both tasty and beautiful, the atmosphere was cozy and the waiters were amazing! They also had the best flavored sour beer I have ever tasted. Highly recommended!

Ein sehr geschmackvolles, veganes Essen. Schön angerichtet und schnell serviert. Die beiden Bedienungen wirkten etwas überfordert, was sie aber durch ihre aufmerksame Art wett gemacht haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wiederholt sehr lecker gegessen, und wie immer tolle Kreationen von denen noch immer jede geschmeckt hat! Angesichts des Preises, könnte man über die Größe der Portionen nochmal nachdenken. Ansonsten kommen wir dennoch sicher wieder :)

Aus gutem Grund einer der wenigen Restaurants, in dem ich Wiederholungsgast bin. Sehr intime und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Speisekarte mit beeindruckender Variationsbreite exzellenter Gerichte mit sehr fein abgestimmten Zutaten. Tipp: das Aperitif-Gewürzsalz ist selbst hergestellt und vor Ort zu erwerben :)
