Unfortunately, the chili is always forgotten; it's not added on top but cooked along with everything else! But otherwise, everything is great as always.

Spaghetti and linguine were out of stock. Spaghetti aglio e olio was without chili and without spaghetti. Spaghetti bolognese wasn't tasty either. The apology was due to staff illness.

The tables, the floor, and the decorations on the tables were very dirty. The tables were very sticky. The children's portion only cost 7 euros, but there was practically nothing for that price.

Good food at a fair price in the best atmosphere and ambience

The good times (if they ever existed) are long gone at Vapiano. Especially this branch, which is a collection of unprofessional and unsuccessful restaurants. The place wasn't even half full on a Friday: An endless wait (35 minutes!) for a pasta dish. Aglio olio with chili. It contained a single piece of chili, and the pasta was dry as a ball of wool, simply thrown into the bowl. The sauce was scant and inedible. The pinsa fritters were rock hard. Crispbread is even more delicious. The salads were sparse, and the pizza was honestly OK. It was the only thing you could eat. After arguing with the head chef (yes, they even have such a thing), we at least didn't pay for the pasta. The guys at the bar and at the cash register were friendly and sometimes attractive, but also very inexperienced, even when making an Aperol Spritz. We'll never go here again before the cinema and can only warn everyone.

The lunch menu is reasonably priced and OK. I only found the food at other Vapianos to have better flavor. The restrooms were filthy. Only one was usable.

My experience at Vapiano was unfortunately disappointing. In my opinion, the value for money isn't right. There's no table service, and I had to wait a long time to order. When it was my turn, I was told my menu was full—even though I had just arrived. I couldn't get a shandy because they only had Kölsch or Weizen beer. Overall, the experience wasn't convincing—I'd go somewhere else next time.

The ordering machines on the first floor were out of order. The service was overwhelmed and accordingly rude. The seating areas were dirty. The carbonara not only had nothing to do with carbonara, but was also inedible. I recommend the 5-minute terrine. It's faster, costs a tenth of the price, and tastes significantly better!

Unfortunately, I didn't think Vapiano was very good. The pasta portion was extremely small, the taste was rather mediocre, and the pinsa was much too hard. Yesterday I ordered Pinsa Pesto Spinaci to take away. The entire pinsa was covered in sand. The spinach leaves were probably placed on the pinsa completely unwashed. If I'd had the time to eat there, I would have returned the pinsa and asked for my money back. After tasting two sandy pieces from different sides, I had to throw the entire pinsa away. Thanks for wasted money and a hungry stomach.

The atmosphere is nice, the staff was friendly, but the pizzas were unfortunately only okay, and my kids didn't like the kids' pinsen at all. So, I wouldn't go there again, or maybe try the pasta instead 😉

We arrived to eat before a show at a nearby arena. It was crowded and the lines were very long and the cooks were unable to cope with the crowd and there was no efficiency in preparing the dishes. The dishes were not tasty and not cooked to the end.

We were nearby for a company outing and then went to eat at VAPIANO. Unfortunately, it was the first and last time for all of our colleagues. The two men at the reception desk weren't really in the mood to work and found it very tedious to explain the concept and the ordering process. A table for 18 people had been reserved in advance via email. When we asked, they simply told us to go upstairs, where there was plenty of space. However, there wasn't enough room for everyone upstairs. Pushing two tables together was not permitted upon request. So the team had to split up and sit separately. The food was a disaster: brown lettuce leaves, soggy pizza dough, and the pasta dishes weren't really edible either. The prices were also far too high for the quality of the food. As I said, this was the first and last time for all of us.

I visited the restaurant after reading its reviews and recommendations. After trying the fettuccine pasta and the chicken pizza, I found the food to be delicious, the service friendly, and the prices reasonable.

I've never paid so much for a pizza and a drink, and the pizza tastes like a simple frozen salami pizza. This is definitely not a Diavolo. Just a splash of chili mayo from a bottle, and you're done.

After the cinema, we wanted something to eat and stopped at Vapiano. We'd never been there before and were initially confused when we were handed a menu and an "order card" at the reception. When we asked, we were told we could choose our seats. It was Sunday early evening and pretty empty anyway. We went upstairs and found a nice table. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy. We were surprised that our menu was only in English, but we were glad that at least it wasn't Italian 😅. Ordering was again a little strange because I called the dressing "Rocket Mustard," as it was listed on my menu, but the waiter clearly had completely different names in mind... I was directed to the bar for draft drinks. When I returned to my table, confused but with drinks and a pager (for the food), I realized that they had simply handed me an English menu. The pager went off after a pleasantly short wait. The pizza and salad were delicious and beautifully presented. It was a little different than expected, but that was probably due to my imperfect English. After the meal, we treated ourselves to an excellent cappuccino. There's a separate counter for paying. The waiter seemed irritated that we were only given a card, but it wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, tips can't be paid with debit cards. The waiter took this lightly and said it wasn't a problem, otherwise, we'd be happy next time. Since we had some cash with us, we didn't go away empty-handed. We'll definitely come back, but we'll look for a German menu, which we'd prefer. I especially liked the ambiance and the fact that the self-catering concept allows you to sit undisturbed. Since it was very empty during our visit, we had a very private seat.

I only went here because it was the closest place to my hotel and on my way to the train station and figured they couldn't screw up a simple salad. I ordered the the chicken mango salad, it took a while to prepare even though the place was nearly empty. The salad had seen better days for sure, not so green, more like white tasteless leftover scraps. Not so much chicken either, bit of a rip off. If I wasn't so hungry and in a rush, I would have complained and asked for a refund. Luckily it came with 3 slices of bread which was the highlight. Wish I'd gone for currywurst and pommes instead, which is exactly what I did at my next stop. Avoid !

The hostess then gives you a beeper that lights up and rings when your tray is ready. No one speaks Italian in this restaurant. We returned a week later because the NH hotel restaurant was still closed.

If the chili oil had been really hot (we've been complaining about it for years), it would have been perfect. 😉 Overall, we were satisfied and come here to eat fairly regularly (especially before our movie nights). While I miss the old concept and the interaction with the chef, the food is still delicious. It's also a shame how often the standard menu has been revised over the years. I especially miss the pappardelle from back then, which you can only find during special offers these days. I thought the idea of ​​the pinsa was great, but it was strange that the pizza had to make way for it. Now pizza has made a comeback, and we hope the pinsa stays. I've been here many times over the past few years – when I was in Cologne. Yesterday, I ordered two main courses and was told right up front: No Parmesan, please. Nevertheless, the chef poured a generous portion of Parmesan all over the dish. And instead of trying to solve the problem in a customer-friendly way, all I got was a rude: "Do you have an allergy or something?" WHAT does that have to do with anything? 🤯 If someone doesn't eat pork for religious or ethical reasons and then just gets pork – does it matter because it's not an allergy?! I was truly speechless. No small compensation, not even a piece of bread or a drink on the house – nothing. In the end, we were left with a dish that we expressly didn't order – and of course, we didn't finish it because it tasted completely of Parmesan. A truly disappointing Vapiano experience

We wanted to eat at Vapiano after the cinema yesterday. I remember the concept of sitting at a table and ordering together via app. This Vapiano has a new concept: You get a booking card at the entrance and then have to queue at ONE ordering point. On a Saturday evening, this creates chaos. The line is incredibly long, and the staff seem completely overwhelmed by the number of guests wanting to eat from the cinema. Meanwhile, the staff are busy preparing food, and the tables are all empty. After 10 minutes in line, we gave up in frustration and took the kids to McDonald's. Therefore, I'm not rating the food, only the service and the ambiance. This rating is as of May 24, 2025, at 7:15 PM.

I have always enjoyed going to Vapiano but I have to say that I have never been treated as warmly as I was at Vapiano in the Mediapark. Very disappointing experience at Vapiano. I waited over 30 minutes for my order, only to find out it had never been processed. Die Begrüßung war nicht wirklich gut, wir haben Getränke direkt bestellt und es gab nur ca. 4 Cola Zeros. Alles weitere war total unorganisiert. Das Essen war teilweise nicht fertig. Mein Insalata Mista war fertig, aber nicht frisch mit vielen braunen Blättern. Eigentlich hätte ich den Salat nicht essen dürfen, habe es aus Zeitgründen trotzdem getan. Geschmacklich nicht gut. Die Brotbeilage mussten wir uns fordern. Ich werde nicht mehr dorthin gehen. Erstaunlich war auch, dass um die Mittagszeit nur 2 Gäste im Restaurant waren.

The ambience was also a letdown. There was dead silence, almost post-apocalyptic. The furniture and tables are also getting old and it just seems as if they are trying to keep the Vapiano project alive. Even worse than the food and ambience are the exorbitant prices. 2 dishes plus drink 50€. In relation to what is offered to you, an absolute no go. All in all, Vapiano has unfortunately lost the flair of back then. I definitely can't give my recommendation here.

Four meals were really bad. Pasta and penne were like soup. The Pinsa ordered the same twice and was different twice. Service apparently new or on trial there. I can't recommend it to anyone, a real disappointment.

This place went down completely, we are more than disappointed with the service, it’s bad !! The guy taking orders and giving the desserts and cakes is pretty sour. The protein portions are more than small, the apple pie it’s served cold physically and metaphorically. Food is not good anymore. I think this place will close soon, it was empty.

Ladies and Gentlemen I am contacting you with a serious complaint. Yesterday, January 12, 2025, I visited your restaurant with my sister. We both ate the “Beef n Beef” pasta. Our health has been very poor since last night - we are both suffering from severe vomiting and nausea, which is still ongoing. For a restaurant like Vapiano, which stands for quality and freshness, this is absolutely unacceptable. The question arises as to whether the hygiene regulations were adhered to in your branch, as there is hardly any other explanation for two people getting such complaints after eating the same dish. The result is that not only have we put our health at risk through this experience, but we have also spent our own money making ourselves sick. This in no way corresponds to the expectations of a restaurant visit in your house. I ask you to carry out a comprehensive review of the hygiene and quality standards in your restaurant and expect an opinion and compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Everything was great, but what was best was Mash the chef 👨🏽‍🍳 Very friendly and the food was great. The blonde young lady at reception was also great and recommended a delicious ice tea.

It was my first time back in 3 or 4 years. About the food: that was by far the worst food I've ever had outside. Penne arrabiata arrived dripping with fat and overcooked, Caesar salad simply arrived carelessly thrown together. The salad also had something that could be charitably described as a sauce. I could have said more if they hadn't just added a teaspoon of it. Added to this is the “ambience”: it felt like pike soup through the whole store, we actually had our jackets on because otherwise pneumonia would have been right on your doorstep. The staff was super nice and friendly, everything in front of the kitchen was no use for this terrible culinary excursion. Never again, I recommend everyone to visit the restaurants in the area. For the 40 euros (two main courses and two drinks), I would have preferred to have 4 packs of nachos in the cinema. 0/5 Kind regards

Food was delicious, staff was nice. There were different times, I remember about 1.5 years ago of unfriendly staff, poor service and the food was really poor. Vapiano has now made a good positive leap, everyone is really polite and nice! Food was as you normally know it - delicious!! The chef #Mash does his job because he apparently loves it! It's far too rare to experience these days - he spoke genuinely, spread positive vibes, addressed customers - asked questions, requested requests. Really cool. Thanks

Food no longer in the usual Vapiano quality! Arugula on appetizer and pasta was already soggy. I would have thrown it away at home... Very dirty throughout the restaurant. Lots of uncleared tables, leftover food on the floor and the dirtiest toilet I've ever seen in a restaurant. There were paper towels on the floor extending into the dining area. Definitely far too expensive for this very poor performance!

I was here in June 2023 and everything was great. The concept is the same everywhere. The food was very tasty, reasonable price for the portion and prepared quickly. The drinks were nice and chilled. I just thought it was a shame that you couldn't leave a tip when paying by card (I rarely carry cash with me). Maybe that has changed now...

Das Essen war wie immer lecker, allerdings lässt die allgemeine Sauberkeit des Restaurants zu wünschen übrig. Die Toiletten sollte man wirklich nur im absoluten Notfall benutzen.. Heute und auch bei unserem letzten Besuch im Sommer waren sie so extrem verdreckt, als ob monatelang nicht gereinigt wurde. Obwohl wir Vapiano wirklich mögen, lässt der heutige Besuch deutliche spüren übrig. Ich will nicht wissen, wie es hinter den Kulissen aussieht, wenn die öffentlichen Bereiche so verschmutzt sind. Wirklich schade!
