The food was great. Self-service as you would expect from Vapiano. Staff were friendly. All in all, great for a quick but tasty meal.

Anyone who likes self-service and fast food will find it great. What I liked were the chilled drinks. Otherwise too small portions for too much money. The taste is bland to standard. The pasta was soggy with no taste. Service was annoyed 😒

Food was ok, but the prices? I would almost think of it as a tourist rip-off. A pinsa that is 10 times smaller than a pizza for €16? Price-performance ratio absolutely not justified. Thanks, never again... no wonder no one eats there. The store is brutally empty

Like moths to the flame, my children and I returned to this temple periodically, drawn by the promise of delicious pinsa. But even the otherwise reliable quality of this dish couldn't avert the disaster that awaited us on our most recent visit. Even the entrance area seemed like the vestibule to the Arctic. Two ladies greeted us with the warmth of a refrigerator. Lady X listlessly handed me the card as if it were a parking ticket. At first there was a yawning emptiness at the order point until a second lady Y materialized to take our order - with the enthusiasm of an official stamping forms. The order: A children's Pinsa and a Pinsa Margherita for my sons and a Pinsa Bruschetta for me. A salad as a side dish. Little did I know that this order would be the beginning of the end. The bar became the stage for the next act in this play of inefficiency. The two ladies ignored my presence. Lady Y disappeared into the depths of a back office while Lady X hypnotized her smartphone as if it contained the secrets of the universe. P.S. 42. Only my courageous call brought them out of their obscurity. When the buzzer sounded later, the true extent of the culinary disaster was revealed. The children's pinsa, once a happy face made of dough and toppings, had degenerated into a sad half-portion - not a hint of child-friendly presentation. A symbol of how even the best can suffer in the wrong hands. My son's Pinsa Margherita stared back at us like a pale ghost of itself, slightly burnt around the edges, as if the chef had decided that a hint of charredness could only do the flavor good. But the real masterpiece of the day was my so-called Pinsa Bruschetta. There was nothing in front of me but another Margherita, naked and abandoned. A culinary trompe l'oeil that raised the question: Is it art or just an accident? My complaint bounced off the chefs like water off a Teflon pan. Someone threw a few leaves of arugula and tomato pieces onto my non-bruschetta pinsa - a pathetic attempt. I insisted again. At this moment of culinary crisis, Lady A sentence that will go down in the annals of gastronomic indifference. The salad only emerged from the shallows after repeated inquiries. Since my children were more hungry than anything else, we went to our table. But the icing on this cake of disappointments was the final encounter with Dame X, who now turned out to be the self-proclaimed “management”. With the logic of a Möbius strip, she taught me about the intricacies of complaint management. I should have addressed my criticism more kindly and directly to her, the invisible manager, instead of harassing the poor, visible chefs. By the way, in the Vapiano concept, these are also the service staff. A masterpiece of customer confusion from someone who had previously excelled in every role except competent supervisor. Then she announced snidely that she didn't want to charge us for the food. Not out of any sense of customer friendliness or to make amends, but more like a teacher who reluctantly gives up on homework because she can no longer bear the sight of the students. In that moment, between the sound of the cash register not ringing and the echo of Lady X's final lecture, my children and I made a unanimous verdict: This was our last visit to the Vapiano at Mediapark. Buon appetite? Rather: Bon voyage into the depths of gastronomic despair! Kind of a shame, but kind of not.

I was able to eat very well and pleasantly, Ms. Hanna in particular was very accommodating and friendly. I'm looking forward to the next visit.

I've never eaten anything so bad in my life. We received a completely different dish even though we had ordered something else. The noodles that arrived were not cooked properly and were disgusting. Half of the plate was full with the water still filled. That was the first and at the same time the last time.

Good food, ambience not so good because furniture was broken

So it's really a disaster. The staff is so slow. The ordering line extends to the street and we waited in line for 25 minutes to order and there weren't that many people there. Then it took another 40 minutes until we could pick up our food. Really not recommended.

War gestern mit einem Freund dort essn. Die Nudeln waren nur noch lauwarm und der Antipastiteller für immerhin fast EUR 20,00 war mehr als dürftig und allerhöchstens EUR 10,00 wert. Ich werde dieses Lokal nicht erneut betreten, Gibt ja genug Alternativen in der Umgebung.

The Pinsa is a clear 10/10, The store looks good and there are plenty of parking spaces, although it is a bit complicated to get into the Mediapark parking garage.

20€ for a portion of pasta with salmon and a drink may seem quite fair at first glance, but I honestly could have eaten the same portion again and then probably would have been full. For €20 I actually expect to be full, but otherwise the receptionist was very friendly.

Very dirty.. disappointing.. disgusting.. we wanted to eat something Italian with the family after the movie, but when I saw the eating places, it was immediately decided that we would go somewhere else.. Everything looked worse than McDonald's. . It can't be good food if everything is so disgusting and sticky everywhere. I am not satisfied with the price-performance ratio. My “deluxe salad” cost €16. In return you actually got a large portion of green salad with tomatoes and cucumbers. The size of the burrata was also appropriate. However, there were only six small quarters of the announced rosemary potatoes on the plate. The grilled vegetables were by no means freshly grilled and warm, but icy cold and like they came from a jar. The staff was nice. I wouldn't go there again.

Yesterday I went to Vapiano in Cologne for the first time with my partner. The food was ready quickly and tasted good too. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside, as well as from the inside. Tables were not clean and there was dust in the storage boxes from the tables.

Wir waren früher echte Vapiano Fans. Das hat sich aber stark verschlechtert. Karte ist unübersichtlich. Bestellterminals sind unpraktisch. Offene Küche? Wozu? Da steht doch keiner mehr. Zum Essen: Nudeln waren noch hart. Salat hatte viele braune Flecken. Bier schal. Preise sehr hoch. Ne, da gehen wir nicht mehr hin.

The Italian dining is simply amazing. Everyone enjoyed the pinsa, pasta, risotto and lasagna. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant. Price-performance is top!

The food was quite ok. But the employee (little Indian guy or something) was so extremely unfriendly that I almost started arguing with him. I find it impossible how he spoke to me just because I asked what happens if you lose the card. Maybe you should talk to him so he can't be that way with customers. I definitely won't be coming again

We love the vapiaonos in Mannheim, so we took a look here. It was quite a long walk. Had noodles. As a finished dish, my pasta was a noodle that all just stuck together. The cook can't help it but all the teeth are more than unkempt and not very appetizing. Finally, the waitress stood in front of the counter over the cutlery tray and I combed and smoothed my hair with her fingers 10-20 times. I wouldn't come here again. Normally I always write good reviews or none but this was really disappointing. Next day info. I had a stomach ache all day after eating and threw up at 9 p.m. after that I felt better. Hadn't eaten anything except a scoop of ice cream. I had previously given it 2 stars, now I'm going down to one. Sorry, dear Vapiano team, but I've just read reviews from others below me. It seems to be a big problem.

I've been to Vapiano a few times in different locations. Now we have moved on to having to order in advance. The tables looked really disgusting and probably hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The decorative balsamic plants were already dead. I ordered the pasta with chilli and garlic and my friend normal. She had chili and garlic in her food and I had nothing. She's sick because she's allergic to chili because of her illness. My food tasted completely bland. The pasta was definitely not freshly prepared as we knew it back then but tasted like flour and was totally mushy as if it had been warmed up several times and 0.0 all dente. The Brucetta was simply a slice with careless tomatoes on it. Yes ONE slice. Back then there were definitely 4 slices and there were still onions in there and not a single tomato blörre like yesterday. Vapiano has 100% taken a step backwards from back then. Neither of us liked the food at all and I actually eat anything when I'm hungry. It was a complete failure and then for the expensive price?! I'll never go to Vapiano again!!! Vapiano was once a delicious and well-thought-out fast food chain and has now made huge savings at every turn. The evening was over for us. :/ Answer to the question about the windows: I meant bread slices and not tomato slices...mfg

Yesterday I was in the Vapiano that was my favorite Vapiano for years before the bankruptcy. Now everything no longer tastes the same as before and the portions are smaller. I ordered the Nutella cheesecake with it. This was very soft and had a strange aftertaste. My stomach was knocked out afterwards. When I ordered my food, the food was probably on the counter for 10 minutes but my buzzer wasn't notified, of course I then checked on my food. There was no apology other than bread. THE PARMESAN WAS ALREADY STICKED TO THE PASTA, I GOT HALF COLD PASTA.

I once remembered Vapiano as a pretty hip chain. On my first visit in years, I was very irritated that orders were placed centrally. Nice idea, but studying the map directly at the entrance without arriving seems uncomfortable. When you arrive at the table you can also see how the cleanliness suffers due to seemingly fewer staff. The food wasn't as tasty as it used to be and the prices weren't justified. The Chicken Alfredo turned out to be a tasteless pasta mush, and the Pinsa also had no taste. You can't go wrong with the Caesar salad. When paying, no one even asked whether it was tasty. Maybe you already know the answer.

We wanted “something quick to eat”. We saw in advance on the homepage that there were children's menus which looked really cute. What we got was a "small pinsa" with a slice of ham carelessly stuck on it. From my experience, a Pinsa should look fresh. Ours looked like it was made that morning. After completing my order (it was my first time there), I was yelled at again because I wasn't familiar with the process. Such behavior towards customers is damaging to business and will definitely not make me want to come back again, even if I get something for free. We left without eating there. The employee who was on duty at the order counter after 7 p.m. on April 12, 2024 should urgently consider whether this is the right job for him.

We were in front of the cinema at VAPIANO in Cologne on Saturday, March 10th, 2023 at 6 p.m. Considering the quality of the food we received, the prices are a real challenge, especially considering that you get no - and I mean ZERO - service there. The order has to be entered into a machine in a laborious and extremely impersonal manner. You then receive a radio transmitter that tells you when you - and I emphasize YOURSELF - have to pick up your food. It's probably needless to say that you also have to organize your own drinks. Drinks are only available in bottles, but that also had its advantages, as the glasses provided were washed so poorly that we decided to drink straight from the bottle. Unfortunately, in my opinion, there is no seating that invites you to linger for a longer period of time. Spending the time until the start of the cinema performance in the same building complex is a real challenge in the uncomfortable seats. You can tell that the focus there is on mass processing. On March 10th, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., due to the many visitors, the volume there was so unbelievable that we were unable to have a conversation at normal volume. We had a 0.33 liter bottle of Cola and a 0.33 liter bottle of Krombacher non-alcoholic. Each of these two drinks should cost €3.95. Unfortunately, the glasses provided were washed so poorly that, as already mentioned, we decided not to use them. My companion ordered the Fusilli Bolognese for EUR 12.45. The amount on the plate is enough to satisfy a child. I took a photo of my lasagne for €11.95. In my opinion, you get something here that is called "lasagna" at VAPIANO, but has nothing in common with homemade lasagna at a standard Italian restaurant. In my opinion, the lasagne given to me was frozen goods of industrial supermarket quality. In my opinion, it was freshly made in the sense that it was warmed up. In my opinion, for the amount of almost 12 EUR you can expect a homemade preparation. Unfortunately, here too the quantity was insufficient. It's almost exactly half of what you get at an average Italian restaurant. To compare the size, I placed a 50 euro note on the small porcelain mold, >see pictures<. I tried a corner of the “lasagna” with a spoon. The taste had an artificial aftertaste and was extremely bland. At the bottom of the bowl there was an indefinable white cream layer. Unfortunately, the liquid minced meat sauce that is usual for lasagne was completely omitted in this version. Unlike my companion, I returned my dish. A positive thing to mention is that the person responsible at VAPIANO Cologne that evening accepted the cancellation without objection and it was then not recorded on the invoice. Conclusion: That evening at the VAPIANO Cologne Media Park we received a poor meal that was overpriced considering the quantity. The same applies to the drinks we ordered at almost EUR 4 per 0.33 liter. Coupled with the very impersonal "do-it-yourself" system, this is one of the most disappointing restaurant visits I've ever had.

We were just at the Vapiano in Cologne Hansaring. A pure disaster... We had a campus voucher. This was not accepted because, according to the employee, the packaging was not there. There have never been any problems handing over the voucher without packaging. According to the employee, this is stated in the terms and conditions. Not true !!! My girlfriend gave the voucher in the same Vapiano WITHOUT PACKAGING, no problem. Maybe it's because we were there with a small child. She also didn't want us to sit down and order directly. These conditions are truly unbelievable. We previously had problems with this Vapiano with another voucher. So conclusion: no more vapiano. Not with this service and prices. Just disappointing!!!

She was upstairs and was pacing back and forth. AGAIN🤢🤮 When we told the employee at the checkout, we don't think we were taken seriously! This shouldn't happen in a restaurant!!

It's getting worse! We've been going to the Vapiano in the Mediapark before the cinema for years. Not only does the service leave a lot to be desired, the food is becoming more and more expensive, the portions are getting smaller and now you can't eat the pinsa anymore. The pizza was super tasty, the Pinsa as a successor was okay. Now they've changed the dough, most likely to save money, and now you can't eat it at all! A normal salad for almost €18 is really no longer affordable! A pity! We enjoyed going there. And we have really experienced everything. The last time there was a discussion because I couldn't order the half pizza with mini salad that I had already ordered ten times. The service employee yelled at me until a colleague intervened. There is no apology, no credit given, it was done as if nothing had happened. As an entrepreneur, I would like to do a month's worth of management consulting because so much is wrong! And well-written feedback on the reviews doesn't help either! Change something! Otherwise there is a risk of the next bankruptcy!

Right from the start we were greeted very friendly and the food ordering was also really pleasant. We took every wish into account. The food itself was really tasty and at the end we had an excellent espresso. Gladly again - one of the best Vapiano experiences we had.

The last time I was here. The tables weren't clean, they were completely stuck together, the toilet was dirty. Hasn't been cleaned in at least a day. Yuck. Overpriced. When I think about the fact that I have to pick up the food myself, have absolutely no service and then find a dirty table, I have to say that the price/performance ratio is absolutely subpar.

Unfriendly employees, poor implementation of the order at the terminal above (bread was missing, drink was missing from the children's menu), noodles stuck together, lasagne was cold on one side (?). It's unbelievably bad compared to the last few years. There were five of us here today and it is definitely our last visit to Vapiano. There are simply too many good alternatives for Italian food.

If you're looking for bad service, you'll be disappointed here. There is no service here at all. “Hello” and “thank you/please” are not even known there and are not answered in return. It's not clear to me why anyone should come here.

We were so looking forward to it and were bitterly disappointed. The good thing first: the lady at reception greeted us very friendly. And unfortunately that was it for the positive. I ordered pasta with tomato sauce and a small side salad. The noodles (spaghetti) were a lump of dough. When I picked up our food it didn't look appetizing. Just pasta and tomato sauce. Nothing decorative like a basil leaf. Simply turn it around and put it on the plate. See the photo. I took the photo straight away and this is how it tasted. I can do it better at home. A disappointment in terms of taste too. The salad (my girlfriend ordered) for €10 was a disgrace. Price performance doesn't fit at all. The chefs weren't friendly either. When I asked for the bread (which we had already said at the entrance and the lady said there were 2 slices), it was thrown onto a plate in annoyance. We sat at a table with 6 stools, where there was oil, vinegar, salt and pepper in the middle of the table. There is a lot of dirt in these fields. Even the red tea light wasn't cleaned for weeks. The worst thing, which is an impossibility, was when (we assume) an employee from the street (still privately dressed) came in and gave both chefs a high five over the food counter and then the chef finished the next pinsa has made. The person then went through a door (between the kitchen and the order placement) to the back. We then read the feedback and exactly 3 months ago someone experienced exactly the same thing with the noodles and the dirt on the table. And let's say one thing now: you won't get another chance. 32€ for a bad lunch. We would have preferred to go to the “frites stall” outside.

You can tell that Vapiano is overwhelmed with guests. The management for ordering food is really very bad. There are only two cash registers where you can order and a huge queue that gathers in front of them.

The store is rather empty - but the completely inefficient ordering system results in a long queue... doesn't work at all...l...

Food is more expensive but at the same time worse and the portions have become smaller. It's no longer cooked live for you in front of you! Really a deterioration from before!

So service was friendly and it was clean apart from the usual crumbs on the tables. I had spaghetti bolognese…that was an absolute disaster. I don't know what kind of pasta it was, but it came in a lump that was hard to break apart, it was so sticky (there wasn't any cheese on top, there was already mud underneath). Either the pasta was pre-cooked and then overcooked or old and warmed up, but it didn't work at all, anyone can do better at home for less than €14.

Your ordering system is underground, there were 15 of us standing at the door and then again. 15 inside with the menu in hand. Only one person takes orders on Saturday evening? And then we find out that the waiting time for pasta is 50 minutes? Thanks and bye

Price-performance ratio is not right at all, the drinks were warm and we waited over an hour for two pasta dishes and a pinsa (other guests who came after us waited a maximum of 20 minutes). When the dishes arrived, they weren't even lukewarm and hardly seasoned at all, the coffee wasn't convincing either (machine wasn't cleaned/coffee residue in the cup at the last sip), the seating left a lot to be desired, so we went upstairs When we wanted to sit down we were sent back down in a rather unfriendly manner. At reception we were greeted in a rather unfriendly manner, no smiles and instead of a good evening we received a “pasta dishes take at least an hour”. So I can't recommend it to anyone with a clear conscience.

It's a shame, Vapiano used to be really good a few years ago - those days are over :(

As always everything is perfect!

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio no longer fits at all. Ordered pasta for lunch. Unfortunately the portion is really very small. The taste is no longer comparable - unfortunately really bad. I also mean something different by clean. Unfortunately soft drink also warm. I then got dessert and coffee somewhere else.

Das Essen ließ sehr lange auf sich warten. Die Nudeln waren nicht gewürzt. Mit Salz und Pfeffer ging es dann. An der Kasse dann die Unverschämtheit, man wollte 51 Euro für 2 Cola Spagetti carbonara und ein bruscetta. Nach Reklamation waren es noch 26 Euro... Da gehen wir nicht mehr hin!!

By far the worst VAPIANO where we have eaten. Never again!!!

The experience is worser than fast food center, you wait in line to give orders, can’t even do group orders and then self service. For all these you pay extra, I mean everything is overpriced. But will you be happy with the food ? It’s just average! Don’t even think of Italian. Staff is not friendly at all. I forgot Parmesan so came to food pick up place and asked for it, they replied „ Did you order food ? , I didn’t see you around“ is the way you treat customers ? Anyhow, this fast food center is really not worth to spend money until it’s near to you and got no options :)) only good part is enough space to eat for big groups.

We waited forever for our food and my friend was finished with her pizza, which wasn't cooked properly when the rest of us picked up our food.
