We regularly go to this restaurant before going to the cinema! We are always extremely satisfied! The food is of a very high standard, the service is very good! We love the food and the prices are fair! In any case, we are very satisfied!

Unfortunately there is little left of it old concept: ordering instead of live cooking, expensive prices without service instead of cheaper prices or service. The food is ok and deserves 3 stars. An arrabiata that isn't spicy 🌶️, despite the fact that I ordered chilli, and a burrata that is ice cold and dry unfortunately don't lead to more stars. By the way, I put the basil decoration on it myself 😉. Conclusion: Unfortunately just average and unfortunately too expensive! Update: I was in a hurry today and had to wait a long time for my food because only one pasta station was occupied and when I paid I was asked if I could be patient. When I said no, I was told “there was no other way, I still had to be patient.” I said that I'd come in later and pay - they then wanted to take my ID card, even though I'm there every week, or was! I gave my colleague the card to pay and said so, but they wanted me anyway didn't let go and I was yelled at! For €13.05 a huge show without the necessary sensitivity! Last time! The shocking thing: The employee also pretended to be the operations manager! Hands off! Better go to L’Osteria or somewhere else!

Wow, I don't even know where to start... First of all, the positive. The employees are always hard working and super friendly. Unfortunately, that's where the positive things end. The food is really an absolute disaster and I'm really not exaggerating here. I ordered a simple Margherita pizza with extra chicken. The chicken was almost raw and the quality was like something from the slums. To be honest, a frozen pizza would have gotten more out of it. The noodles were also already swollen and soft. The ambience was also a letdown. There was dead silence, almost post-apocalyptic. The furniture and tables are also getting old and it just seems as if they are trying to keep the Vapiano project alive. Even worse than the food and ambience are the exorbitant prices. 2 dishes plus drink 50€. In relation to what is offered to you, an absolute no go. All in all, Vapiano has unfortunately lost the flair of back then. I definitely can't give my recommendation here.

The Vapiano in the Mediapark Cologne is a popular meeting place for fans of Italian cuisine. The homemade sauces and the ability to customize your food make the concept particularly interesting. Of course, things are often pretty hectic here, especially at peak times. Self-service means you sometimes have to wait longer, but in return you get a freshly cooked dish straight from the kitchen. Those who don't mind this will be rewarded with delicious food. Despite the lively atmosphere, the Vapiano in the Mediapark remains a top address for fresh Italian food that can be enjoyed in a modern atmosphere. Anyone who can handle the hustle and bustle will definitely be happy here.

This place went down completely, we are more than disappointed with the service, it’s bad !! The guy taking orders and giving the desserts and cakes is pretty sour. The protein portions are more than small, the apple pie it’s served cold physically and metaphorically. Food is not good anymore. I think this place will close soon, it was empty.

Ladies and Gentlemen I am contacting you with a serious complaint. Yesterday, January 12, 2025, I visited your restaurant with my sister. We both ate the “Beef n Beef” pasta. Our health has been very poor since last night - we are both suffering from severe vomiting and nausea, which is still ongoing. For a restaurant like Vapiano, which stands for quality and freshness, this is absolutely unacceptable. The question arises as to whether the hygiene regulations were adhered to in your branch, as there is hardly any other explanation for two people getting such complaints after eating the same dish. The result is that not only have we put our health at risk through this experience, but we have also spent our own money making ourselves sick. This in no way corresponds to the expectations of a restaurant visit in your house. I ask you to carry out a comprehensive review of the hygiene and quality standards in your restaurant and expect an opinion and compensation for the inconvenience caused.

It was my first time back in 3 or 4 years. About the food: that was by far the worst food I've ever had outside. Penne arrabiata arrived dripping with fat and overcooked, Caesar salad simply arrived carelessly thrown together. The salad also had something that could be charitably described as a sauce. I could have said more if they hadn't just added a teaspoon of it. Added to this is the “ambience”: it felt like pike soup through the whole store, we actually had our jackets on because otherwise pneumonia would have been right on your doorstep. The staff was super nice and friendly, everything in front of the kitchen was no use for this terrible culinary excursion. Never again, I recommend everyone to visit the restaurants in the area. For the 40 euros (two main courses and two drinks), I would have preferred to have 4 packs of nachos in the cinema. 0/5 Kind regards

Food was delicious, staff was nice. There were different times, I remember about 1.5 years ago of unfriendly staff, poor service and the food was really poor. Vapiano has now made a good positive leap, everyone is really polite and nice! Food was as you normally know it - delicious!! The chef #Mash does his job because he apparently loves it! It's far too rare to experience these days - he spoke genuinely, spread positive vibes, addressed customers - asked questions, requested requests. Really cool. Thanks

Food no longer in the usual Vapiano quality! Arugula on appetizer and pasta was already soggy. I would have thrown it away at home... Very dirty throughout the restaurant. Lots of uncleared tables, leftover food on the floor and the dirtiest toilet I've ever seen in a restaurant. There were paper towels on the floor extending into the dining area. Definitely far too expensive for this very poor performance!

I was here in June 2023 and everything was great. The concept is the same everywhere. The food was very tasty, reasonable price for the portion and prepared quickly. The drinks were nice and chilled. I just thought it was a shame that you couldn't leave a tip when paying by card (I rarely carry cash with me). Maybe that has changed now...

Das Essen war wie immer lecker, allerdings lässt die allgemeine Sauberkeit des Restaurants zu wünschen übrig. Die Toiletten sollte man wirklich nur im absoluten Notfall benutzen.. Heute und auch bei unserem letzten Besuch im Sommer waren sie so extrem verdreckt, als ob monatelang nicht gereinigt wurde. Obwohl wir Vapiano wirklich mögen, lässt der heutige Besuch deutliche spüren übrig. Ich will nicht wissen, wie es hinter den Kulissen aussieht, wenn die öffentlichen Bereiche so verschmutzt sind. Wirklich schade!

What a shame I can't rate it with a -1. It's the second chance I've given the chain. The one in Berlin was a real disaster. This one has all the worst of the other and more. We started with the attention at the entrance, which was terrible. We were three people, they gave us 3 cards, but no one explained the operation to us. We ordered the food and sat down. To our surprise, we had to pick up the food ourselves because they are VERY stressed and their excuse is that it says TAKE A WAY, but for me that means taking it home, not picking it up to take away yourself, who pays to eat, working for them. We also ordered the drink at the bar and they charged everything on one of the 3 cards they gave us. Finally we went to pay, each of us separately, and the employee at the checkout, in authentic GERMAN, told us that it is not possible because it is all on one card. Thank goodness our friend speaks German and told him that his partner didn't explain it to us. The only good thing is the food, end. I leave this review here so that when you go to the Canary Islands, you value more the attention of the hospitality workers on the islands, because the difference is outstandingly noticeable.

Yesterday I was at Vapiano for the first time in several years. Due to lack of time, I ordered a portion of pasta with tomato sauce and a salad to take away. I took a seat facing the kitchen counter with my pickup pager. About an hour passed and the food was still not ready for pickup. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. After noticing that some guests who had recently arrived were already picking up their food, I decided to ask at the counter. The colleague simply said “I don’t have anything to pick up here” and looked at me with a blank look. There were two packaged dishes on the counter that looked very similar to mine (they had probably been there for over half an hour - at least that's what I noticed while I was waiting). I asked him to check again and told him that I believed these two orders were mine, he just said "No, they are not those - I have to call someone". When the waitress came over to help, she told the colleague that my order was to take away and that it was on the counter. When I told her that it had been there for at least half an hour, she said seriously, "Um, no, it's still warm." I explained to her that I had been waiting for an hour and that I was very sure that was the case. Then she looked at the time on the receipt and, rolling her eyes, said to her colleague “what time is it?” he answered the time and then the waitress was silent and put my food in the bag. When I said that my story was confirmed, she just said "I can cancel the meal too" and when I explained to her that it wasn't about the food but about the waste of time she just said "I can cancel it too". At the checkout the waitress said to me “didn’t you receive a pager”? When I confirmed this she said “and it didn’t ring?”. So what's the point, that was the second time that I was accused of making the mistake, even though it had long since been clarified that the colleague's order wasn't actually displayed correctly on the screen. I'm really horrified - such an unprofessional thing. I didn't care that the food was a little longer or that the waiting time was longer. It was about how the staff reacted and dealt with it. A simple "sorry, that shouldn't happen" would have been enough, instead I deal with a young lady trying to expose myself, saying my version of the story isn't true or trying to blame me for the situation - crazy . I've worked in various jobs in the catering industry myself and mistakes happen, but the way it was handled was really extremely unprofessional. The evening at Vapiano ended for me with just under €27 for pasta with tomato sauce and a salad, and no apology.

Who doesn't like Vapiano!? Everything fits here too. We were warmly welcomed and were able to order straight away. It's clean, friendly and of course delicious. Here, orders are placed at the counter and not via a terminal. The food came very quickly. What was noticeable were the many hard-working employees who always ensured clean tables and order.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Bij Vapiano zijn we al regelmatig gaan eten. Dit doen we telkens we op reis zijn. Hebben dit al in Duitsland, Tsjechië en Nederland gedaan. Er is altijd voldoende aanbod om tussen te kiezen. Het eten is steeds heerlijk en goed vers. De porties zijn voldoende ruim. Ik neem steeds de huisgemaakte ice tea. Deze zijn verkrijgbaar in verschillende smaken en erg verfrissend. Het restaurant en gezellig ingericht en voldoende ruim. Het personeel is vriendelijk.

An employee became violent towards me and insulted me several times with derogatory comments. Even before this incident, he was disrespectful and appeared uninterested in customers' needs. When I wanted to enter the upper part of the branch, he told me - with his back turned to me - "don't go upstairs" without offering an explanation or an alternative solution. Only after asking several times did he say: “Senorita, don’t bother, I want to get off work.” When I asked him to be more respectful, he ignored me. I then decided to leave the restaurant. When I asked him his name, he refused and tried to snatch my phone when I mentioned I could take a photo of the scenario to document it. He injured my hand. He then continued to behave provocatively and called after me on the street with further derogatory comments, including racist ones towards Germans... Given such incidents, I'm not surprised that the company is struggling.

Yesterday we were at Vapiano after the cinema around 10 p.m. When we sat down, a friend immediately jumped up because there was a mouse at her feet. The mouse then ran towards the bar under the radiator. From there she kept running out and into the store. That doesn't work at all and is just unhygienic. I don't want to know where all these mice are running around. Only after 20 minutes did an employee come and “look for” the mouse because all the guests in that corner jumped up and sat down and actually just walked up and down and didn’t talk to anyone. You could understand a little about mice or rats outside around the store or by the garbage, but during normal operations and high guest occupancy, no mouse is allowed to run around in the store. No recommendation!

We had dinner there last Saturday. When we arrived we had to wait in line for about 15 minutes to place our order, only to find out that there was only "pasta and salad" left. The portion size felt like it was made for children, the cooks weren't motivated at all and the overall impression was rather bad. The tables were partly sticky, still largely covered with plates and everything wasn't really very inviting. When paying, the employees' private conversations were more important than serving the guests. So all in all, absolutely not recommended!

I was there yesterday evening with my girlfriend and a friend. We ordered a pizza Milano. A tuna pizza came. We wanted to sit on the terrace and they said we should pay first and then we can sit on the terrace. We have already paid €61.50, we found a place on the terrace and sat without anyone coming to us, after we paid and we had already ordered. We wanted to eat at Vapiano before the cinema today. We enter our entire order at the machine on the first floor, only to find out afterwards that an order can only be placed at the counter on the ground floor. There is no indication on the two input devices that they are currently not available. The manager at the checkout succinctly tells us that we should join the long line on the ground floor. When asked why there is no notice on the ordering machine... ... No answer, just a succinct, shrug of the shoulders. With customer service like this, neither I nor my family ever need to become Vapiano customers ;-((((

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the price-performance ratio and the taste of the dishes didn't convince us either. We had Caesar salad and bruschetta. If you want to eat with mice, you're in good hands here. The food was quite okay. You can't really go wrong with pasta... The tables were very dirty. The lamps were also very dusty… The store doesn't seem clean. Employees were all nice. Our highlight was the mouse that runs around on the second floor. I went to the Vapiano again after years and found that the quality had clearly deteriorated. I had a pasta dish and the noodles were 1. the wrong ones, at least not the ones I ordered, 2. not cooked, but left in hot water until they were soft = so sticky that you could have sucked them through a gap in your teeth. If you're going to support Italy, then at least learn to cook pasta properly. Vegetables were good, as was the meat in the dish, but you had to look for it. Price/performance ratio is no longer good at all. At the beginning of Vapiano, I could sit there for hours, order something great again and again and enjoy the ambience. Unfortunately that is no longer the case today. It's actually a shame!

Chicken piccante for 16.95eur is too expensive for self-service excluding a drink. Back then (~2010) it cost about half as much. I don't know whether Vapiano's prices will last long.

Wir waren das erste mal in einem Vapiano Restaurant. Das Konzept kann man erahnen aber nichts desto trotz gefallen mir Persönlich ein paar Dinge nicht so. Erstmal muss ich sagen das mir die Pasta echt gut geschmeckt hat. Dann allerdings muss ich ebenfalls sagen das in der Speisekarte nicht drauf hingewiesen wurde das es auch Pizza gibt. Lediglich Pinsa das man eine Pizza nehmen konnte war erst am Bestellschalter zu sehen. Das Ambiente erinnert mich eher an Bahnhofshalle. Es war relativ kühl dort, wir waren nicht die einzigen die die Jacke anbehalten haben, sodas garnicht das Gefühl aufkam die Jacke ausziehen zu wollen. Hocker ohne Lehne zeugt davon,denke ich das es nicht gemütlich werden sollte sondern eher essen und der nächste. Auch die Bänke im oberen Bereich sind nicht einladender fanden wir. Sehr laut kühl ungemütlich. Die 3 Punkte gibt es nur fürs Essen das war gut alles andere ne kann man machen muss man aber nicht. Wir nichtmehr sorry.

One star is already too many! The food was tasteless! We had a bolognese and a normal pomodoro spaghetti order, both pomodoro came. The spaghetti was cooked far too long and the sauce was tasteless. We asked for parmigiano and they slapped some kind of cheese on us. Unfortunately really not recommended. We definitely won't be visiting again! Eating snacks is definitely better!

Terrible! Food tasted, snack quality and the worst thing was, at 5:30 p.m. a girl stood at the pizza corner and told everyone that everyone was on break and we would continue in 15 minutes. At 6 p.m. still nothing had happened, the pizzas that had already been filled were still on the counter unrefrigerated, and then it was said that no more food from 6 p.m.!!! Thank you for nothing!

As a former Vapiano fan, a bitter disappointment. The quality of the food is far from what it used to be. The portions were laughably small, but the prices rose sharply in return. No wonder the store was empty. Everything has become more expensive. I'm willing to spend money on good food. Unfortunately, it was my last visit here.

Anyone who likes self-service and fast food will find it great. What I liked were the chilled drinks. Otherwise too small portions for too much money. The taste is bland to standard. The pasta was soggy with no taste. Service was annoyed 😒

Like moths to the flame, my children and I returned to this temple periodically, drawn by the promise of delicious pinsa. But even the otherwise reliable quality of this dish couldn't avert the disaster that awaited us on our most recent visit. Even the entrance area seemed like the vestibule to the Arctic. Two ladies greeted us with the warmth of a refrigerator. Lady X listlessly handed me the card as if it were a parking ticket. At first there was a yawning emptiness at the order point until a second lady Y materialized to take our order - with the enthusiasm of an official stamping forms. The order: A children's Pinsa and a Pinsa Margherita for my sons and a Pinsa Bruschetta for me. A salad as a side dish. Little did I know that this order would be the beginning of the end. The bar became the stage for the next act in this play of inefficiency. The two ladies ignored my presence. Lady Y disappeared into the depths of a back office while Lady X hypnotized her smartphone as if it contained the secrets of the universe. P.S. 42. Only my courageous call brought them out of their obscurity. When the buzzer sounded later, the true extent of the culinary disaster was revealed. The children's pinsa, once a happy face made of dough and toppings, had degenerated into a sad half-portion - not a hint of child-friendly presentation. A symbol of how even the best can suffer in the wrong hands. My son's Pinsa Margherita stared back at us like a pale ghost of itself, slightly burnt around the edges, as if the chef had decided that a hint of charredness could only do the flavor good. But the real masterpiece of the day was my so-called Pinsa Bruschetta. There was nothing in front of me but another Margherita, naked and abandoned. A culinary trompe l'oeil that raised the question: Is it art or just an accident? My complaint bounced off the chefs like water off a Teflon pan. Someone threw a few leaves of arugula and tomato pieces onto my non-bruschetta pinsa - a pathetic attempt. I insisted again. At this moment of culinary crisis, Lady A sentence that will go down in the annals of gastronomic indifference. The salad only emerged from the shallows after repeated inquiries. Since my children were more hungry than anything else, we went to our table. But the icing on this cake of disappointments was the final encounter with Dame X, who now turned out to be the self-proclaimed “management”. With the logic of a Möbius strip, she taught me about the intricacies of complaint management. I should have addressed my criticism more kindly and directly to her, the invisible manager, instead of harassing the poor, visible chefs. By the way, in the Vapiano concept, these are also the service staff. A masterpiece of customer confusion from someone who had previously excelled in every role except competent supervisor. Then she announced snidely that she didn't want to charge us for the food. Not out of any sense of customer friendliness or to make amends, but more like a teacher who reluctantly gives up on homework because she can no longer bear the sight of the students. In that moment, between the sound of the cash register not ringing and the echo of Lady X's final lecture, my children and I made a unanimous verdict: This was our last visit to the Vapiano at Mediapark. Buon appetite? Rather: Bon voyage into the depths of gastronomic despair! Kind of a shame, but kind of not.

I've never eaten anything so bad in my life. We received a completely different dish even though we had ordered something else. The noodles that arrived were not cooked properly and were disgusting. Half of the plate was full with the water still filled. That was the first and at the same time the last time.

Crepes with lemon 🍋 Cream on the changing daily menu was amazing 🤤 But the regular dishes are also very good. The style goes in an Italian direction. The service is very friendly. I always feel very comfortable here.

I have rarely been to a place like this!! There are 7 waiters and 3 tables occupied and it took them 25 minutes to serve us. We ordered a typical German dish that has mustard and they brought us mustard from the children's jar. The coffees without sugar, another 10 minutes waiting for the sugar, the coffee looks like water where a sock has been wet. Terrible place!
