I think the concept of Vapiano is good. You get a card on which the order is recorded and this makes paying afterwards much easier. You have to order the food yourself and pick it up. The store is also very nicely decorated. However, something was forgotten in my meal and another woman's meal. For the price I think it's a bit cheeky.

The menu is confusing and not very interesting, and the prices are now almost outrageously high. Very bad online menu, confusing and incorrectly programmed. Cooking tends to be unmotivated behind glass panes; the Vapiano flair of watching and having direct contact with the chefs is a thing of the past. What happened to the old Vapiano, with attractive prices and interesting fusion variants? No wonder there is a yawning emptiness even on weekends. Eat: - very manageable porzoons - cheapest gratin/pizza mozzarella on the salad for €€ extra. That's already the lowest class! - The guacamole is just green sludge from an industrial bin. Disgusting! - Bruschetta for €7 was 2 slices of dry bread, not toasted, no garlic, etc., then smeared with tomato pulp and "guacamole" and a dollop of crema di basamico. Taste? ... Conclusion: cheap food at premium prices. This visit will be the last for us.

Ich hatte mir was zum abholen bestellt. Das erste Problem kam schon bei Essen abholen, da man angeblich garnicht mehr über Paypal zahlen kann obwohl es schon abgebucht wurde. War im Endeffekt ein Fehler von denen und 15 min nach der eigentlichen Abholzeit war das Essen endlich fertig. Naja wir hatten ein Gericht ausdrücklich ohne Pilze bestellt, das wurde natürlich nicht beachtet stattdessen wurde die Soße weggelassen. Außerdem waren Haare in unserem Essen… nie wieder eine absolute Geldverschwendung

Very nice Vapiano location with great architecture. My salad with chicken breast was super fresh with a very tasty dressing. And there's pizza again👍 I'll be happy to come back.

Update August 2024: after I was recently very enthusiastic about their Pinsa, they unfortunately did a massive downgrade. Now the floor is dry, tasteless and not airy at all. Don't come back. Previous review: So I have to say the consistency of the noodles is absolutely perfect. I have never eaten better pasta anywhere. The problem with the Vapiano, however, is that you hardly have the expensive meat on your plate and the prices are still quite high. I also have to complain that the glass of sparkling wine was completely non-carbonated, and that at €4...

A fantastic restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and an innovative ordering system. After ordering you get a pager that vibrates when your food is ready, really handy! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was simply delicious, especially the pastas. Overall, a great experience that I would recommend to everyone. I'll definitely be back!

So if you like cold noodles, you've come to the right place. If you complain, the pasta, sauce and cheese are simply reheated in the pasta water. Disgusting. Hygiene is different... But at least I share my sauce with the entire restaurant.

The cappuccino was very tasty, slightly irritated that everyone got a card for themselves. It was my first visit, but not the last.

Complicated and expensive but good quality

We ordered a dish that didn't contain any nuts or pine nuts. Unfortunately, some were included. My daughter has severe allergies. After the staff was informed, it was apparently our fault because we didn't ask specifically again. That was really very disappointing, no accommodation.

Service is quite chaotic and pizza was probably the worst I ever ate. For iItalian-style restaurant is a no-go. Better pizzas can be eaten from frozen ready-ones.

So far there have been difficulties with ordering on every visit. On our last visit, 2 out of 5 dishes were received incorrectly. Once you have your food, everything is good and tasty.

The fast food of Italian. Good choice of dishes. Portion size is on the small side. Not cheap but all in all decent. Bad acoustics inside and loud music.

The prices are too high for self service.

We were traveling with four children and three adults. To end our day, we wanted to go eat some pasta with the kids. Unfortunately I have to say that the noodles didn't taste good at all. Some of them were still hard and the seasoning of the dish was completely omitted... The children should probably have airplane noodles. This didn't exist after all. The floor was sticky and if we hadn't wiped the tables ourselves again, then the... It's shocking what prices can be charged for lousy quality. We won't come back again.

A well-known Italian restaurant chain. The cuisine is always good and the menu has been renewed. There are no longer the pots of basil and rosemary on each table that were the charm of your restaurants, it's a shame!

The staff was very unfriendly, the service was terrible, we won't be coming back! *edit Instead of responding to criticism and perhaps asking what it could have been, people prefer to complain back that the staff are hostile and the review has been requested to be deleted. Then I'll go into more detail so that you might understand what really bothered us, but according to other reviews you don't seem to be interested anyway... The counter staff was very unfriendly and rudely replied to another order from me that I should wait until they had finished tapping. We understand that employees are exhausted after a long day at work and would like to call it a day. We would also like to enjoy this in your company, but unfortunately we couldn't really because the staff were loudly clearing the counter from around 9 p.m Garbage was dragged around and gave us the feeling of being thrown out. When shortly before closing time another employee very rudely asked us to leave because it was now closing time, we thought it couldn't get any worse... But it did!!! The cashier who watched Tiktok videos during her shift was also just as unfriendly as the counter staff. In retrospect, we are very glad we didn't eat at her house. This is not how you treat paying guests. Please sensitize your employees to an appropriate form of expression and polite interaction with the guest, who has shown your staff the same courtesy. Because of this experience, Vapiano is history for us, it's a shame that you are so massively disappointed on your first visit. THAT is very bad advertising for your company. I made a reservation three weeks in advance, but the spot I wanted was taken that day. The staff did not respond to our complaint and we were asked to find another seat. The sofas are very dirty and the same three songs are always playing, with no variety. You have to order the food yourself in the kitchen and pick it up yourself. If you pick up the food you have to get the cutlery yourself from another counter, it is not included. The knives and forks were very dirty and there was food residue on some of them. Even if the food tastes pretty good, it's not worth going to all the trouble. Ordering and picking up took longer than the meal itself... Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our first visit to Vapiano. I wouldn't develop it further unless you have a lot of patience and affect control...

My companion and I decided to go to the Vapiano in the city at 11 a.m. this morning. We really enjoy going there, the atmosphere and the food are great... Today an incredibly nice gentleman caught our eye. When we walked in we were greeted warmly and served at the bar at the front. I had a wine spritzer and pistachio cookies, both really good! The gentleman was very competent and in a very good mood, which is unfortunately rare to find these days! I had the feeling that every cent I spent there today went into good hands :) 5 stars 🌟

Vapiano, always a safe bet. The salads were very good and very fresh. We were served quickly. On the other hand, there is too little protein (chicken, beef) in the salads compared to the price paid.

We have really enjoyed going to Vapiano in Dortmund on a regular basis. First of all, the food is a constant that has drawn us back again and again, quite the opposite of the ever-increasing price. To a certain extent, we were able to understand the constant price increases in terms of global price developments. Unfortunately, we are beginning to lack understanding for the renewed price increase this Monas. For a comparable price you can now go to a well-established Italian restaurant with good service. There are fewer and fewer reasons to visit Vapiano again, even if the food always tastes good.

Haven't been to the Vapiano for a while now. There is no longer pizza but Pinsa, I tried the Pinsa. Either I was unlucky or it always takes so long. Waited 45 minutes and then received a lukewarm dish. Visually good, unfortunately the edge was rock hard and so inedible. So the entire edge was cut away. I spent €30 with drinks and dessert and I have to be honest. That wasn't worth the money. The lady at the exit didn't ask if everything was okay or if it tasted good, she probably already knew what was coming. It was definitely my last visit to Vapiano. A pity. I used to always enjoy being here.

Pasta needed more cooking time, lasagna tasted as the supermarket one that you warm up in the microwave, if you’re looking for decent Italian food, wouldn’t recommend.

A trip to Dortmund took us to the Vapiano while visiting the city center. Processes that are very difficult to understand for first-time visitors. When we asked for a table for 4 people, we were told that we should look for a free table ourselves. We did that too. There were 2 menus at the table. The food was picked quickly, but it took us a while to find out that the order had to be made in person at the counter with a consumption card per family. We would have to take drinks with us immediately. After ordering, you receive an electronic alarm that should vibrate and flash when the food is ready for pickup at another counter. The waiting time for a total of 8 dishes took about 15 minutes, and preparing a lasagna took much longer. According to our boys, the Pinsa tasted good and much better than pizza. The bruschetta was okay, although we've actually eaten much better. The pasta with basil pesto, feta and arugula was rather average. But the crowning glory was the lasagne... definitely a frozen product from the supermarket. Has nothing to do with homemade lasagna. 2 small salads were fine. We also drank 2 x Cola and 2 x MezzoMix. Price in total over 80 euros, so around 20 euros per person. This is completely right. Great ambience. Nice staff. At the end of our Vapiano visit we suffered a "slight" shock. Visiting the toilets in the basement. On the way there we were happy that it smelled very pleasant and looked very nice... Unfortunately, the women's toilets were in a reasonable condition (toilet paper scattered everywhere including on the toilet seat...etc). A clear warning signal that the toilets are not regularly checked during opening hours. Our conclusion The first and probably last visit to Vapiano in Dortmund.

We've been here for a long time now and I have to say the food has changed a bit. The pasta “Crema de Funghi” was rather dry and I think that two ingredients were left out. This dish used to be served with a... I wiped out a shot of white wine and I think it's missing and another ingredient, but unfortunately I don't know what. In any case, it is no longer as creamy as before but rather dry. We'll go back to see if it was just a one-off. An update will be made. Otherwise everything was great as always.

Am 14.02.24 dort gewesen. Bewertung über google nicht möglich, da dieser Text 3x zensiert und trotz Einspruch nicht veröffentlich wurde!! Definitiv der letzte besuch gewesen! Die Preise werden immer teurer und eure Portionen kleiner, selbst für den Käse oben drauf muss man diskutieren und sich rechtfertigen, als wir auf nachfrage für mehr Käse gebeten haben. Wir haben gestern für 2 Portionen so wenig Käse bekommen, dass es nicht mal für 1 Portion gereicht hat. Echt traurig mittlerweile und da spart man am falschen ende. Ich bin über die letzten 10 Jahre mindestens 2x im Monat dort gewesen, was ich ab jetzt nicht mehr bereit bin zu tun. Wundert euch nicht wenn die Kunden wegbleiben !

Been there on 02/14/24. Definitely the last visit! The prices are getting more and more expensive and your portions are getting smaller, even the cheese on top has to be discussed and justified when we asked for more cheese. Yesterday we got so little cheese for 2 portions that there wasn't even enough for 1 portion. It's really sad now and you're saving at the wrong end. I've been there at least twice a month for the last 10 years, which I'm not willing to do from now on.

Drinks 1x O. Lemonade €3.95 a. 0.25L and 1x Vitamals €3.95 a. 0.33L. So a total of €48.25 The staff polite and correct, but no tablecloths and no table service SELF-SERVICE......the lasange looked and tasted like it had been warmed up from the frozen food. Supermarket quality. Even more disappointing was the much-praised Pinsa...almost cold, the dough tasted old and dry as if it had been warmed up...topping: fresh champion slices and sufficiently cooked ham, cheese a bit melted and not acceptable in terms of taste, absolutely no restaurant quality and had been freshly prepared doing nothing tasted like TK. Alle Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet, und das zum guten Preis. Update: Inzwischen gibt es statt Pizza nur noch Pinsa: Vorgebackener Brotteig mit Pizzabelag - das schmeckt uns absolut nicht mehr. Und die Preise in 5 Jahren fast verdoppelt. In Zukunft ohne uns!

Sehr nette Fachkräfte, tolles System. Nudeln waren leider nicht lecker, bei keinem von uns. Hat leider nach nichts und trocken geschmeckt. Dafür vielll zu teuer!

Erfahrungsbericht: NIE WIEDER VAPIANO !!! Wir wollten kurzentschlossen am 31.12.2023 im Vapiano Dortmund Mittagessen. Überraschender Weise öffnete die Filiale erst um 14.00 Uhr. Somit warteten wir als "ehemalige Vapiano Befürworter" bis zur Öffnung. Ich besorgte im Thekenbereich die Getränke, während meine Frau sich im Essenbereich um die Bestellungen kümmerte. Neben einer Salami Pinsa und einem Salat Nizza (nach beharrlicher Diskussion ohne Nizza Dressing - dafür mit Joghurt Dressing). Ich musste derart diskutieren, dass ich doppelt Joghurt Dressing bestellte ! Dieses wurde mir auf der Rechnung später auch korrekt doppelt berechnet. Desweiteren bat ich um eine doppelte Portion Hausbrot, die ich auch vorgab, berechnen zu lassen. Gefrustet vom persönlichen Bestellungskampf holte mein Mann das Essen ab, nachdem die "Elektronik" vibrierte. Bei der Essen Abholung monierte mein Mann die 2 Hausbrot Schreiben und gab an, dass meine Frau bei der Bestellung mehr Brotscheiben geordert hatte. Daraufhin legte man mir 2 weitere Brotscheiben hinzu. Ich begab mich mit dem Essen zu meiner Frau. Für sie war der Salat. Beim mischen des Salates fiel auf, dass Yogurt Dressing nicht wie gebucht zu 200 % vorhanden war, sondern eher zur Hälfte, 50 %. Meine Frau begab sich dann wiederum zur Essen Ausgabe und bemängelte den Salat. Der fehlende Joghurt wurde daraufhin aufgefüllt. Beim Essen fielen dann auch die ekelhaften trockenen Oliven auf. Diese wurden heraus gefischt und am Tellerrand abgelegt. Die Pinsa war insgesamt ziemlich geschmacksneutral, leider nicht heiß und der Teig eigentlich 3. klassig. Pinsa, wie auch der Salat waren insgesamt ziemlich lieblos. Im Grunde im Verhältnis zum Personal, welches ziemlich unmotiviert daherkam. Im Kassenbereich beim Bezahlen wurden unsere Eindrücke mitgeteilt. Daraufhin ließ die Kassiererin des Filialleiter holen. Wir verzichteten auf ein Gespräch und eine Reduzierung des Rechnungsbetrages. Der Filialleiter wurde daraufhin abbestellt. Es stand an dieser Stelle fest, dass wir NIE WIEDER eine VAPIANO Filiale besuchen würden. Und wir haben im Laufe der Jahre einige besucht. Unser Fazit: Veränderungen (z.B. Pinsa anstatt Pizza) etc. dürfen durchaus sein. Es sollte am Ende tatsächlich eine Verbesserung stattfinden. Dieses scheint uns in keinster Weise gelungen. Gemessen am Preis / - Leistungsverhältnis werden wir in Zukunft wieder einen "echten" Italiener aufsuchen. Nichts desto trotz wünschen wir allen Betroffenen an dieser Stelle alles Gute für die Zukunft.

Man wird von Faesers Goldstücken übel beschimpft/beleidigt und bedroht, aber der Restaurantleiter schlägt sich lieber auf die Seite der Täter und pariert mit ihnen in ihrer Landessprache. Wir, die Geschädigten, wurden nur aufgefordert zu bezahlen und die Öffentlichkeit zu verlassen. Keinerlei Entgegenkommen oder gar eine Entschuldigung. Kann ich nur von abraten. Essen und Wwin sind überteuert und minderwertig!

Tolle Bar, einladend im Eingangsbereich. Neben Nudeln unnd Co auch leckere Kleinigkeiten wie Gebäck zum Kaffee. Erfreulich freundliches Servicepersonal

Bereits außen ist dieses Vapiano schön anzusehen, wie es sich mit einer Mauer im Fenster vereint und wie schön der rote Teppich des Eingangs einlädt. Innen sehr schön gestaltet mir separatem Barbereich und erhöhter Küche. Die Bestellaufnahme ging zügig und freundlich, die Ausgabe ebenfalls. Parmesan als extra wurde gerne hinzugegeben, genauso wie 4 Scheiben Baguette. Das Essen war super, genau richtig gewürzt, die Pasta war fantastisch!❤️ Insgesamt ein schönes Ambiente, wenngleich eine Lampe stark flackerte und uns vom Personal leider keine Lösung hierfür angeboten werden konnte, außer den Platz zu wechseln. Die Toiletten sind ordentlich und gut gereinigt, ich hatte nichts auszusetzen. Zu guter Letzt war das Personal sehr schnell und freundlich unterwegs, es wurde zügig abgeräumt. Ab und an wäre es optimal, auch feucht über den Tisch zu wischen. Preislich mittlerweile etwas teurer (unsere Gerichte kosteten jeweils ca. 15€) aber noch angemessen. Wir waren Silvester vor Ort und kommen gerne wieder!

Schade, welch ein tiefer Fall. Wir waren seit längerer Zeit mal wieder im Vapiano. Nichts ist mehr geblieben vom schönen Italienischen Selbstbedienungslokal. Die Speisekarten schmuddelig und eingerissen, die Preise überzogen zur Qualität. Die lauwarme Pasta ohne besonderen Geschmack wurde nach Reklamation in der Microwelle aufgewärmt. Dann doch lieber zum Italiener in Zweiter Reihe.
