Absolut top, lecker, nett angerichtet, nettes Personal, tolle Lage am Wald, gut für einen Verdauungsspaziergang.

Spargel zum wiederholten Mal nicht gelungen, zu kurz gekocht, war noch zu hart. Unsere Sitzplätze am Hotelteich einfach traumhaft!! Weiter Weg für die Bedienung, aber trotzdem haben sie guten Service geleistet. Jb.

Das Restaurant ist in die Jahre gekommen, schade. Auch die Qualität vom Essen lässt zu wünschen übrig, leider Imbiss Buden Essen. Wir haben heute den Hamburger ausprobiert, das Fleisch ist fertig Fleisch aus der Metro, geschmacklos außer dreifach Salz schmeckt man nichts. Das Fleisch hat zuviel Wasser und ist kein vernünftiges selbstgemachte Paddi Fleisch. Die Pommes waren mega über salzt, das für 19€ einfach zu teuer. Außerdem haben wir für 4 Burger eine Stunde gewartet. Können wir nicht empfehlen. Burger müssen selbst gemacht sein und Qualität sollte schon sein für das Ambiente vom Hotel. Die Soße Holland und Pfeffer Soßen sind aus Tüten. Wir kommen leider zum Essen nicht wieder. Schade, ein Restaurant sollte schon über Pommes Buden Essen herausstechen. Wir empfehlen in der Küche viel weniger Salz zu nutzen ist auch mega ungesund.

Es ist ein sehr schönes, gemütliches Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist hervorragend und für jeden was dabei.

Wir waren heute, 15.03.26 erstmalig im Rustique. Ganz ehrlich: keine Empfehlung. Service: unter dem Durchschnitt. Auf die Frage, was wir trinken möchten, sagte meine Frau, ich hätte gerne ein Wasser. Ich wurde nicht gefragt. Als das Wasser kam, kam die Frage, ob ich auch etwas möchte. Es fehlte zudem der kleine Brotteller. Kam dann auf Nachfrage. Das Essen: ohne Worte. Fettige Bratkartoffel, Fertigsoßen aus der Tüte, Salat schon alt. Selbst eine Pommes-Bude hinter dem Bahnhof bringt besseres Essen hervor. Eigentlich eine Frechheit hierfür auch noch Geld zu nehmen. Sorry für die krassen Worte, aber genau so ist es. Einmal und nicht wieder.

Wir hatten heute zu Dritt einen wundervollen Abend und möchten uns ganz herzlich sowohl beim Servicepersonal als auch bei der Küche bedanken. Es hat rundum alles gepasst, das Ambiente war toll, leise, klassische Musik und eine gute Akustik, sodass es trotz großer Gruppe am Nebentisch möglich war, sich ganz normal zu unterhalten. Das Essen hat uns allen gut geschmeckt, es war lecker, frisch und reichlich. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Abend, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen im Hotel Rustique zum Essen und alle waren absolut begeistert. Jeder hatte eine andere Hauptspeise. Die Qualität und der Geschmack der Speisen hat uns alle überzeugt. Die Getränke haben das Essen perfekt ergänzt. Insgesamt hatten wir einen gelungenen Abend mit sehr gutem Essen in einer tollen Atmosphäre. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir kommen schon seit 2017 hier her und auch diesmal war es wieder sehr schön! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und auch das Essen war Spitze!

Das Ambiente ist schön und durchaus ansprechend. Der Service eine wahre Katastrophe. Das Essen schlichtweg schlecht. Man wartet ziemlich lange, bis ein Kellner mal eine Bestellung aufnimmt. Insgesamt wirkt alles sehr unorganisiert. Da laufen Kellner an leeren Tellern und Gläsern vorbei, anstatt mal abzuräumen. Erst auf mehrere Handzeichen hin, hat man dann mal abgeräumt. Aber nicht nur das! Eine Frage, ob man noch etwas trinken möchte, kam erst gar nicht. Deshalb wurde auch keine 2. Runde bestellt. Zum Essen. Wenn auf der Karte "Wiener Schnitzel" steht, darf man ein solches auch erwarten. Gekommen ist ein (vermutlich dünne Scheibe Kalbfleisch) "Wiener Schnitzel" was den Namen gar nicht verdient. Fluffige Hülle um das Schnitzel = Fehlanzeige. Aus der Fritteuse kam dieses Schnitzel. Die Bratkartoffel fettig. Wer hier behauptet das würde auch noch gut schmecken, hat bislang scheinbar nur am Bahnhof in einer Frittenbude gegessen. Dann die Rinderrouladen waren deutlich zu lange im Brater. Angebrannt, zäh und die Füllung zum Vergessen. Sorry, aber hier lohnt sich nur ein Besuch im Sommer auf der Aussenterrasse, wenn man nur ein kühles Getränk zu sich nehmen möchte. Mit allem anderen scheint man hier doch mehr als überfordert zu sein.

Wir waren heute, am 26. Dezember 2025, mit unserer Familie zu einem Menü-Essen in Ihrem Restaurant. Obwohl Ihr Restaurant Potenzial hat, konnte es uns leider nicht überzeugen. Die drei Wiener Schnitzel waren leider von Sehnen durchzogen und nicht so zart, wie wir es erwartet hatten. Auch waren es eher Schweineschnitzel und keine Kalbschnitzel. Die Gans war mehr als klein und leider sehr trocken. Die Schnitzel wurden zurückgegeben, aber leider gab es für mich kein Ersatzessen, sodass ich ohne Essen sitzen blieb. Leider habe ich keine Erstattung für das nicht geleistete Essen erhalten. Auch die Nachspeisen waren sauer und nicht genießbar. Dies bestätigte mir auch ein Gast vom Nachbartisch. Beim Herausgehen sah ich zufällig, dass die Nachspeisen bereits fertig in einem nicht gekühlten Raum standen – wahrscheinlich bereits seit Stunden. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass auf unsere Reklamation nicht angemessen eingegangen wurde. Mit besserem Service und mehr Aufmerksamkeit für die Qualität der Speisen könnte sich das Restaurant jedoch deutlich verbessern. Immerhin hatten wir die Menu‘s 4 Wochen im Voraus bei Reservierung bezahlt. Leider können wir Ihr Restaurant aufgrund dieser Erfahrungen nicht weiterempfehlen. Ich gebe Ihnen aber hiermit bis zum 03.01.2026 Zeit, um mir zu antworten. Leider hat sich niemand gemeldet.

Das Hotel l’Arrivée ist sehr schön und empfehlenswert, ich besuche öfters den Spa Bereich wie auch diese Woche. Das Restaurant habe ich bis diesen Tag noch nicht besucht, leider war meine Erfahrung nicht positiv. Das,Ambiente ist Rustikal und sauber gehalten. An sich war es an den Tag ausgebucht, wahrscheinlich wegen der Jahreszeit das viele Firmen ihre Weihnachtsessen abhalten. Zur Bestellung, schnell war entschieden. Der Kellner brachte vor dem Essen ein kleinen Brotkorb mit dip, das dunkle Brot und dip war frisch und lecker. Ich war davon überzeugt das es so weiter geht. Die Brühe die ich bestellt habe, die mir vom Keller zuvor empfohlen wurde hat wie eine instant-Brühe mit kleinst gehackten Möhren und Sellerie. Denke wenn man eine Maggi Brühe nimmt würde es besser schmecken. Hauptspeise klassisch Schnitzel mit Waldpilz Sauce mit Pommes und Salat, die Freude war nach ganzen Tag mit leeren Magen groß. Es kamm ein kleines aber schön gebratenes Schweineschnitzel 0 gewürzt ein Fade Salat im Schälchen und eine Champions Sauce. Ich war wirklich enttäuscht das man in ein 4☆ Restaurant solch eine Qualität serviert bekommt, ich kenne bessere Imbiss Buden. Hätte ich nicht so ein Hunger dann wäre das Essen zurück gewandert. Ich habe es natürlich den Keller gesagt aber er sagt nur darauf das er es dem Koch ausrichten würde. Ich sagte Ihn dad er nicht auf überrascht tun soll, er hätte es gewusst und er hätte einfach vor der Bestellung mich darauf hinweisen können das keine Pilz Saison ist und das es mit Champions Sauce serviert wird. Darauf die aussage vom Keller, "auf mich hört man hier nicht das habe ich schon in der Küche gesagt" was soll man dazu noch sagen. Restaurant geht anders. Wenn ich von Anfang an darauf aufmerksam gemacht worden wäre hätte ich die Rezension nicht geschrieben und meine Erwartungen und Vorfreude runter geschraubt.

My first goose of the year was delicious. Breast and leg were served with red cabbage, caramelized chestnuts, dumplings, baked apple with marzipan filling, and gravy. The caramelized chestnuts were a highlight! The service was very friendly and attentive.

We had a wonderful afternoon and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its outdoor dining! The beautiful ambiance, which invites you to linger, is particularly noteworthy – we particularly enjoyed the outdoor dining, which created a great atmosphere. The service was very friendly, and even though it took a little longer to clear our plates, it didn't spoil the good mood. The food was delicious and met our expectations. The restrooms were also very clean, which is unfortunately not always a given. All in all, the restaurant offers good value for money. Unfortunately, the indoor area is not suitable for two people. It was very uncomfortable. On our second visit, the service left a lot to be desired, so we left immediately.

The restaurant is comfortably furnished. The lighting is a bit too dim, making it difficult to read the menu. The carpeted floor in the small gallery makes it difficult to get up from the chair. The food is average, but the service isn't great. We weren't even asked if we'd like another drink.

Great atmosphere, but the service wasn't particularly good. You had to wait for everything and request things multiple times (seat cushions, pepper and salt, ice cubes for the much-too-warm white wine). The food was very tasteless, except for the fries, which were very spicy. There were six of us who always meet at different restaurants. We rarely all agreed on the rather bland food. What a shame.

Anyone who thinks the service here is good hasn't experienced good service yet. The service at Rustique is well below average. A far cry from good food. Okay, those with a taste for it might also enjoy a Wiener Schnitzel from the deep fryer. For me, neither the service nor the food served was good. Simply a disaster, and it's a disgrace to charge for it.

Simply terrible. The service is completely overwhelmed, and the food isn't worth the money. How can you deliver such a poor service in this location and ambiance?

I had dinner here with a large group. I thought the ambience was very good, although we as a group agreed that the modern art on the walls didn't fit in with the rest of the food. We all felt the service could be improved. Drinks were only ordered after everyone had arrived. Anyone who arrived early was left high and dry. The dishes, from the kitchen greetings to the main course, were simply placed on the table without the used plates or glasses being cleared away. The server didn't even ask if we wanted to order anything else. We had to actively get the server's attention. We didn't like the food for the most part either. The schnitzel was dry and the meal as a whole had little flavor for us.

I can only agree with what the previous speakers have said. Our evening began with gathering chair cushions and asking the waiter. We had a table in a busy beer garden, which only had three waiters on duty. The waiting times were correspondingly long. Our drink and food orders were taken in a taciturn and annoyed manner. There was no bread with dip or butter to start with. We had to take care of reorders of drinks and salt and pepper ourselves. We would have liked to order dessert, but unfortunately no one came to the table. Not even to clear it or pay the bill. We paid the bill inside after asking. The quality of the food was fine, but the service was unfortunately absolutely abysmal. As soon as daylight disappeared, we ate outside in the dark. A string of lights wasn't switched on until around 9 p.m.

First and last visit there. Arrived around 2:30 p.m., reserved a table in advance, and got it. First drawback: Ordered a cake slice and coffee (which only took an hour, believe it or not). Second drawback: The waiter not only looked extremely listless and bored, but also acted like it (quite unprofessional). Third drawback: It didn't look like the place was at a who knows how busy, so not even all the tables were occupied. Mixing up an order for two cake slices and three coffees doesn't speak well for this place. When we decided to stay after paying and ordered three Coke Zeros, we waited almost another half hour before deciding to cancel (because no Coke Zeros arrived) and leave. The waiter simply said, "Yeah...see you next time." So far, I've only heard about this place, and I've heard both good and bad things about it. After this afternoon, that's a good lesson for us. It's not a big deal, but it's not a shame either. 🤷‍♂️

Worst food and service I've ever experienced. Never again!!

Unfortunately, I can only recommend it with reservations. At least as far as my order was concerned. I was very disappointed with the fried zander fillet with Riesling sauce, wild broccoli, and pumpkin puree, which cost €28.90. There was very little that was right about this dish, including the presentation.

Very nice ambiance, delicious food, attentive service, and a wonderful atmosphere in the beer garden. We were all very satisfied.

We have frequently dined in the restaurant's outdoor area in the past and were impressed not only by the pleasant and beautiful atmosphere but also by the quality of the service and the food. So we decided to make a spontaneous visit yesterday, Sunday, August 10, 2025. The terrace was almost completely full at around 6:00 PM, partly due to the very nice weather. We naturally understand that the (service) staff are under a lot of pressure with such a high workload. However, we have no sympathy for the poor quality of the food we ordered. My wife opted for a large salad with grilled salmon, while I chose a pork schnitzel with fried potatoes and peppercorn cream sauce. My wife's salad was soggy, drowned in dressing, and the Riesling sauce listed on the menu was not detectable. The flat salmon strips were completely overcooked and dry. The latter also applied to my pork schnitzel. The fried potatoes were also of poor quality, tasted very oily, and had been reheated. We therefore didn't finish our entire dishes. A note to the service regarding the deficiencies elicited no response. In light of the current frequent comments regarding the difficult situation in the restaurant industry, but not only, we hope that the restaurant succeeds in restoring the quality standards it has enjoyed in the past.

There were four of us. We had a variety of dishes. All arrived at the same time and were perfect. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

We've been eating regularly at Restaurant Rustique for years. However, the last two times we've been truly disappointed with the service. We weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink during the one and a half hours. The same thing happened to the tables next to us. We had to repeatedly call for a waiter ourselves. Our requests weren't met there either. I asked for sugar again, but it never came; we had to get it ourselves from the counter. A guest next to us also had to get the condiment from the bar outside. My husband hadn't even finished his meal, and it was cleared away very quickly, even though he still had a piece of baguette on his plate, which he wanted to finish. That's unacceptable! Normally, a delicious baguette and bread with a delicious dip always come before the main course. We didn't get a dip until we asked, and then the waiter said "as an exception," and suddenly the other tables got a dip too. The food is, or usually was, very delicious, but the service has deteriorated considerably. Our previous visit a few months ago for a special occasion, a milestone birthday, was unfortunately also disappointing. When we walked in, we weren't even shown to our table. We were simply told where our table was. This time, three people were also disappointed with the food. They said so, but the response was just jokes. This has almost never happened before. We weren't even asked if we wanted dessert then. It's a shame that we were so disappointed these two times. We've always loved the Rustique restaurant.

We had the opportunity to spend a night at this wellness hotel thanks to a wonderful wedding gift. The hotel itself was very nice, the room was great, and the wellness area was a highlight. The welcome at reception was also very friendly. Unfortunately, the Rustique Restaurant left a negative impression. We received an unfriendly welcome when we asked for a table in the beer garden, even though we had previously been told at reception that this was possible. The table assigned to us was inadequate, and we had to arrange a chair ourselves. The service also left a lot to be desired. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, which was especially bitter since it was our wedding night. The food itself was good, but the service and atmosphere in the restaurant were simply not up to the standard of the hotel. Unfortunately, we will not be returning there. Despite this experience, the hotel itself was very nice, and we would recommend it to others if they can avoid the restaurant. Perhaps the hotel can do something to improve the service in the restaurant.

Top ambience, top food and outstanding service

Dear Rustique Team, Thank you so much for a wonderful summer evening in this relaxing, well-kept, and romantic ambiance. The service and hospitality were very, very good. The only thing that could be improved is the salad, please; i.e., it could be more refined. The side salad and the large salads were the same mixed salads (kidney beans, coleslaw, corn, green salad) with the same dressings. I recommend: walnuts, beetroot, honey, feta cheese, and much more. On the other hand, my Angus steak, pork medallions, and pork schnitzel were truly delicious. Perhaps this is a high-level nitpicking. But I think you can handle honest criticism and honest praise. In conclusion: OF COURSE WE WILL BE HAPPY TO COME AGAIN. Thank you so much!!!

The most delicious asparagus I've ever eaten. The schnitzel and hollandaise sauce were also amazing! I didn't manage to eat everything, but almost :D The espresso was also great, and everything was great, actually.

Great location, friendly staff, our meal was good, and in summer the outdoor terrace is the highlight.

This time we brought a married couple of friends with us. Neither had ever eaten at Rustique before - they enjoyed the food, loved the ambiance, and the service was top-notch. It was an all-around wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back soon to enjoy it.

As a Dortmund resident, I ate at the restaurant for the first time today. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The portions were generous, but the flavor was abysmal. The shrimp skewers were bland and tasteless. The bread served with them was so hard that you had to fear for your teeth. The other dishes were also, in my opinion, substandard. The service could be improved. That's my personal opinion and experience, but everyone has to form their own opinion. In any case, I won't be visiting the restaurant again.

When the weather is nice, the beer garden is open. Ate spare ribs from the grill. An absolute dream. 500g with fries and Coleslow salad for 26 euros absolutely a top price for this quality and taste.....

Top Easter meal – we’ll be back! Really nice afternoon on the terrace – sun, delicious food and an all-round relaxed atmosphere. The schnitzel with asparagus was great, prepared just right. And what was really positive: all the waiters were totally attentive and friendly - you just felt comfortable. This makes going to a restaurant really fun. We'll definitely be back!

It's always cozy, tasty and great, no matter how crowded it gets. The fifth star is missing because some little things keep bothering me, but that's not that important. All in all, definitely recommended!

The food and service were very good, unfortunately agreements regarding reservations and table decorations were not kept. Unfortunately, my mother's 90th birthday had a very bitter aftertaste. After I complained, they wanted to speak to management and get back to me. I've been waiting for this call back for weeks. That probably won't happen again.

Perfect, courteous and fast service. The food is ok, my pattie in the burger was perfect in the middle, a bit leathery on the edge, the garnish definitely needs improvement, the eye eats too. The ambience is nice, but I think it's a bit old.

I gave 5 stars everywhere, especially because not everything went perfectly. The meat on my friends' burgers wasn't really warm. However, new ones were brought without discussion and an “apology schnapps” for everyone on top of that. The consistency of the gingerbread mousse was more like panna cotta. And the aquavit came in an uniced fruit brandy glass. Nevertheless, the food was very tasty. We sat very comfortably in a beautifully decorated restaurant. The waiter was very nice and took our comments with humor and charm. Out of competition: the towels in the bathroom are great; soft and slightly larger than normal, s.d. One is enough and you don't need two as usual. It was a lovely evening and we will definitely be back.

We were with you on November 23rd, 2024 with 6 couples for goose dinner. I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but some points need to be improved. The first drinks came after about 20 minutes. We couldn't eat together - at the end of the table an almost cold whole was served, which was much better at Dickmanns in 2023. A cream cheese cream on the side just like the Italian one doesn't have to be. Goose fat on the bread would have been nicer. But we'll still come back. LG.Hans Steer Dortmund

A goose dinner at Rustique has always been a pleasant experience for us in the past. This year we were disappointed for the first time: The sauce was tasteless. We found the chive decoration on the marzipan apple strange. The seat covers on the bench were covered in stains and there was a dried white mass on the black basket in which the bread was served.

The restaurant had nice decoration. The food was delicious and served promptly. We'll be back.

Everything was very good all around. Despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, there was no lack of service. The staff looked after us very courteously and radiated a high level of friendliness. We will visit the restaurant more often now!

Food and ambience overall recommended but not outstanding. Small service error with the wine, which was quickly cleared up. Unfortunately the seating was a bit uncomfortable.

Wir sind schon oft im Rustique gewesen, aber heute war der Service eine Katastrophe. Der Tisch wurde nicht abgewischt, obwohl vom Vorgänger noch Reste lagen. Wir bekamen einen Aperol, mit einem Hauch Aperol (jeder Barkeeper hätte sich geschämt). Daraufhin bestellten wir ein Glas Rose - 2x bei einem Kellner. Der Salat kam, jedoch wurde die die Portion Pommes Frites ohne Salz, Ketchup und auch ohne Teller hingestellt. Nach einer langen Zeit fragte uns der Kellner :" Haben Sie immer noch keinen Rose ?" DAraufhin habe ich nach der Rechnung gefragt. Das Personal total überfordert - zu wenig da. Nach meiner Beschwerde an der Bar, bekam ich nur: "Wir können nichts dafür. " Es war sicherlich viel los, aber trotzdem darf die Freundlichkeit nicht fehlen. Und das haben wir sehr vermisst. Dafür ist das Rustique auch zu hochpreisig ! Eigentlich sehr schön gelegen, aber der Service nicht angemessen. Wir werden das Rustique nicht mehr empfehlen. Dr. Ulrich u Sibille Stauf

We were there with 10 people as part of a farewell event. Food very good. Service also very good. Service very friendly and helpful. We can recommend the restaurant unconditionally. The ambience is also right.
