That was the worst thing I've eaten in a long time. Cold, dry, undrinkable. Beer "on tap" poured from bottles while our food got cold. Bad even for Berlin Hbf. Sorry.

What can I say, it's just a restaurant in the train station but I have to say that it was tidy and not loud. We felt comfortable and can recommend everyone to eat there rather than somewhere else in the train station.

There was this super nice lady who spotted that our pinsa wasn’t vegan right away and she changed it immediately. Nice conversation with her ended with her saying goodbye to us in our own language. Only if I got her name! Thank you for such good service and conversation!

Good location and great for bridging the waiting time at the main station. But dirty and crowded. Tables are not cleared or cleaned. You hardly see any service staff at all

Charging €14 for this half bowl of salad is cheeky and unjustified. One star for the staff being nice.

We arrived at Vapiano super late and with the current order status we didn't actually have enough time to get our meal. But the employees did everything so that we had our pasta to go within 7 minutes. Thank you!!

Hello, we tried to eat, but were extremely disappointed... the Krombacher Weizen was the only thing we really liked. It took 30 minutes for the food to be ready; the taste of the Pinsa was similar to a frozen pizza. The pasta was saltier than the Mediterranean. The lamps were missing on some of the tables... the view is quite nice because you are reminded that you could have gone to Foodfactory. I was there once 8 years ago, I actually remembered the store well. Too bad...! How can you prepare pasta so badly? Unfortunately the pizza was cold, which was a shame. Had a lot of potential... Very annoying!

Unfortunately our experience at Vapiano was not that great. Pasta was overcooked and tasteless, pizza's were too tough and were not that hot. Dough didn't taste freshly made and pizza tasted like it came from the freezer... At least one of the female employees (Francisco) seemed attentive and friendly, she deserves a good salary!

I went to Vapiano this afternoon however their scan to order function was just not working. Thanks to this super friendly and nice staff Vivi, I didn’t get hungry to death. Vivi is super patient and sweet to every single customer and her smile and service just made my day. It’s a 10/10 service, Vapiano is just so lucky to have her.

I accidentally ordered twice because a previous receipt came from the machine. Super nice service person took back an order and canceled it. Really great, will come back next time I visit Berlin.

I spontaneously ate here during my short stay. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff (especially Vivi) were very friendly and attentive!

It is a simply great place!! You order a beer and before you get to the table the very friendly people are ready!! And the very pretty ladies are actually in the center of Berlin to eat something delicious Italian style, highly recommended 🤠🤠🤠

It's terrible what they offer as spaghetti Bolognese, totally sticky and unpleasant to eat, every school child can cook it better. What seems impossible to me in retrospect is that the owner receives bad reviews for months and the quality management does nothing about it. Always the same saying, we're sorry, but that doesn't change the worst food we've had in a long time.

Cozy place, welcome and order. For the price, the most expensive salad with grilled vegetables had unacceptable quality: arugula half dead, wilted iceberg lettuce, grilled eggplant and peppers rather cooked and totally mushy, hardly any dressing. Latte macchiato too small and lukewarm.

We went two times for breakfast (you have some options for bruschetta and/or paninis and coffee). We also went once for dinner. Both times the food was amazing. Also the staff/service was very nice and very attentive. You can order on your own and save time, the only problem is that, when busy the staffs not very accessible (understandable). Otherwise we enjoyed the restaurant very much.

I can only agree with the comments. Food ok and a good alternative to the rest of the offer at the train station. But over 30 minutes for penne with tomato sauce is really too long, especially when you can see that pasta that just sticks together is being heated up in tomato sauce. You can't find space because of all the dirty dishes.

Borderline! I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. My visit was on January 1st, 2025. You can now place your order directly at the table using your cell phone. To do this, you have to scan the existing QR code. If this doesn't work, a website will be pointed out. As soon as the food is ready, you will receive a text message. I ordered a Mezzo Mix 0.33 l. The drink was brought to my table immediately after I submitted the order. For dinner I once ordered the Pasta Pomodoro and Bruschetta. The price itself is ok. Quality pretty bad. First of all, if you offer the table ordering service, please not only partially. But completely. I had received a text that I could pick up my food. I had to leave my seat and walk halfway across the store to pick up my food. Since I was alone, no one could look after my jacket for valuables. In my opinion, it's not a service for me if I have to pick up my food myself. The food was lukewarm! The noodles were sticky and just stuck. The same goes for the bruschetta. Sticky and totally salty. While eating, I noticed that the staff behind the counter was playing with their cell phones. Instead of busying yourself with your cell phone, you can also serve food to guests. I'm not coming back!

Good morning, I have just arrived in Berlin shortly. I am here to improve my English as a student, I went to order from Vapiano with my sister. We ordered a Caesar salad for my part and a pesto pasta dish to take away. The wait was long because the command receiver had been assigned to another command even though it had been given to the machine to make its order. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, returning to our hotel I realized that they only put salad with Caesar sauce in my order even though I had selected all the ingredients to put in it ( 14 euros for the Caesar salad), in total I paid almost 30 euros (expensive) to have only salad and sauce in my Caesar salad… Certainly there were a lot of people, but these kinds of things need to be checked beforehand, if I had known I would have ordered something else so as not to forget my ingredients and find myself eating like a sheep. I can assure you that I had the nerves to pay that price for salad, even that can happen but hey. Honestly despite that, it may be a good restaurant but the experience I had there really disgusted me.

Beautiful food with amazing service, in a lovely setting. They are especially good with allergies, the staff asking as you order if you want the allergy-free options - and if you use the touch-screen to order, you have all the options for allergens, adding toppings, and removing toppings. Overall a great dining experience.

The food was fine but there was a lot of confusion around how to get our food and drinks, with it all being self-serve. Our initial payment somehow failed a few minutes -after- we placed it, and it took us about 20 minutes to notice that our order had been cancelled. After reordering it was a very long wait and the server initially didn’t believe me that I’d paid for our drinks. Having to pick up the food and drinks from different counters seems to cause a lot of confusion. It would be a much better restaurant if they just had normal servers taking your order and bringing you food. What’s weird is they seem to have enough staff for that.

Fast food-level pasta for people who don't have high expectations

The experience at this Vapiano was extremely awful. At the moment when we stepped in the restaurant, the manager started showing how he managed the restaurant by warning us with strict attitude that the drinks from outside were not allowed in the restaurant without saying a hello. The lady at the cashier was very rude too. I spread my hand to express my feeling of not understanding her attitude after the unpleasant conversion and then the manager came to me claiming that ALL his workers are friendly and do not use the gestures to his workers. The dramatic manager tried to blame customers for everything, giving the excuses of ‘friendly’ workers instead of attempting to understand the situation and solving the actual problem. Never would I recommend anyone to come here because they treat customers like dogs.

Food is great, but unfortunately it takes quite a long time until it is ready. Especially when you have to catch a train... Waited 20 minutes for 2 paninis, staff should work faster, especially in a train station where there is so much stress and time pressure.

Was there in the evening because my train wasn't running. Luckily the restaurant is open until 10:30 p.m For a franchise restaurant, it is also very nice here, the conditions and the service were also very friendly. I can't complain about my food either. Top 👍🏼

Food was okay (as usual from the chain), but the cleanliness of the entire restaurant was subpar. Dirty tables everywhere that were waiting to be wiped down, full trays of plates etc. everywhere that had to be cleared away and the toilet was a complete disaster. After a very long time, I was back in Berlin with my mother. So far we have visited the restaurant two or three times every time we have been to Berlin Open, this time it was the last time. Dirty tables found. Staff prefer to have a chat rather than clearing and cleaning the tables. Unfortunately you can no longer watch how the food is prepared - that was the highlight of the restaurant. The spaghetti bolognese was lukewarm and pinsa (pizza) was ice cold and didn't taste good at all. You should have plenty of time. We stood in line at the bar for a good half hour to place our order. It also took another good half hour for the food to be ready and the food wasn't even warm. Why is there no knife for the Pinsa instead of a strange pair of scissors or half the covering of the Pinsa falls next to it when cutting? There used to be a very tasty pizza here but unfortunately it is no longer on the menu. The price-performance ratio is no longer the same. We will definitely avoid the restaurant in the future. We found a good alternative where the pizza and pasta dishes are very tasty and also warm. L'Osteria is about a 2 minute walk from the main train station. can only be recommended. Update I tried again on December 7th 24th a pizza that was terrible and just disgusting this time it was definitely my last visit

13-12-2024. The four of us had something to eat here before we took the train to Herzogenrath. Quality good, staff friendly. Atmosphere is of course difficult to create in such a location in the Hbf. Berlin.

This is an Italian restaurant located inside Berlin Central Station. I stopped by for dinner while waiting for the ICE (high-speed train). Once you select your menu at the ticket vending machine and make your payment, you will be given a call bell and wait at your seat for your meal to be prepared. I had tomato sauce pasta, panna cotta and espresso for dessert. The price was reasonable and it was quite delicious.

Nice spot, staff relatively disorganized, almost nothing from the menu was available and the dishes are visibly warmed up in the microwave.

Horrible after the reconstruction!!!! The pasta was almost raw 😂🤮 Vapiano was nice 5 years a go, now is just a fast food inspired in Italian food 🤷🏽‍♂️

Unfortunately, noodles were very sticky and overcooked. Arrabiata was unfortunately not at all spicy, even with extra chili. It was positive that you could choose extras at the terminal and change the food.

ABSOLUTELY DISASTERABLE SERVICE! I paid 10 euros through the machine, but my order was simply 'lost'. When I pointed out that I needed to catch my train I was ignored and told it would take 5 minutes. The employee didn't make the slightest effort to solve the problem, but pointedly ignored me and served other customers. In the end I was left without an order and without getting my money back.

Unfortunately, I've never had such a bad meal at Vapiano. I ordered take away, which was ready very quickly. However, my order wasn't what I chose and the noodles were very sticky.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Vapiano at Berlin Central Station was a disappointment. Due to a train delay we decided to have something sensible to eat and ended up at Vapiano. We paid around 45 euros for two drinks and two pasta dishes – a price that initially surprised me. I haven't been to Vapiano for a long time, but as usual I ordered spaghetti carbonara and a cola. Since we were both quite hungry, the price seemed acceptable despite everything. However, the meal itself was a big disappointment: My pasta was lukewarm and had little taste - unfortunately my companion felt the same way about her dish. The food tastes NO MATTER. All that remained was a greasy aftertaste and the realization that this was our last visit to Vapiano. We would have expected much more for this price. Is it possible that the portions have shrunk? Probably 2 stars would be fairer (ambience and service), but the food left me at a loss. Addendum after the owner's reaction: Better go eat somewhere else. It's not worth it.

Non-existent service: You order alone with the QR or from the PC, you have to get the drinks yourself at the bar and go to collect the food alone in the kitchen, all self-service, and they expect tips, for what?? We ordered one pizza and pasta. The pizza was freshly prepared so was ok. The pasta we ordered was pesto with tomato, it tasted salty and raw. One little fella was very good at his service (though we just ordered spoon). The order was self placed and self pickup

I was traveling alone and wanted to eat something. The ordering system at the table was broken and I had to order at the counter. The lasagne should take 12-15 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked how long it would take. 20-25 minutes... something like that doesn't work at a train station where people have to rely on time information. I got all my money back for lasagna, drink and tip without much discussion. Conclusion: No wonder Vapiano has already gone bankrupt. I don't go there anymore. I then went to asiagurmet and had my meal in 10 minutes and was significantly cheaper.

The taste of the food was completely okay. Ordering is done quickly and clearly via a terminal, drinks are available at the bar and the terminal also indicates this. The waiting time was quite short. Unfortunately the food, I had ordered gnocchi, was only lukewarm on the inside when I picked it up from the kitchen counter and almost cold on the outside. The ambience with the view from the large windows is nice.

I have been to this place because I wanted to eat something after 2h train seating on the floor coz my mate was late and we took the wrong train and the food was awful , uncooked pasta, they made an awful carbonara with cream, the more I was chewing the more i realised ur employees can’t cook, i could cook better if i was dead drunk.

That probably wasn't my evening tonight. And certainly not that of the Vapiano. When I ordered I stated that I had to avoid onions in the pasta. This was ignored. I had to complain about the pasta. At over 14 euros it is also quite expensive. And then SB. Payment is made before the food arrives. At the counter. The card terminal wants a tip, even though I can't judge the service yet. The table lamp was off. Battery empty. Basil at the table? Saved away. Pizza is now Pinsa with ready-made dough. I don't know where to start and where to stop. Chef de cuisine inattentive and preoccupied with himself. Tries to overlook the guests. But they pay his salary! The worst was the noise. Rattling dishes, cutlery. Something keeps flying around in the kitchen. The noise increased, especially as the end of the day approached. Chairs were still covered in cheese from previous guests' meals. No, that was nothing. Too bad.

Ordered a bruschetta, but 30 minutes later they still hadn't started making it, so I had to go catch my train without eating.

Very chaotic staff & overall atmosphere, mess in orders, needed to ask whats going on and finally have that to go to catch a train..

We ordered food as a group of 6 with a QR code that was placed on the table through the website. After 20 minutes of waiting, we asked about our order but were told that they didn't have the order in the system, even though we had already paid for it. We had to order again and finally they made our order at the last minute and we barely caught our train. Since we wouldn't be able to catch the train, we had to take food with us, which was 5 lasagnas, but since the staff was in a hurry, the lasagnas were almost not hot at all, but cold. They weren't very tasty either. We waited a total of 45 minutes for the food and it was cold. Overall, we felt that the delivery of food was chaotic and the service itself was lost in orders, which prolonged the wait and chaos.

Unfortunately, we were not at all satisfied with our visit to the Vapiano at Berlin Central Station. First of all: the location is of course super central and the view, depending on where you sit, is really nice. We ordered at one of the self-service terminals. You can put together your own dishes, which is great. After ordering, you pick up a pager and when it rings, your food is ready. There is no mention of the fact that you have to pick up the drinks at the “bar”, which we found out when we picked up the food. The lady at the bar was moderately motivated and had apparently already used up her quota for “Hello” and “Bye” by lunchtime… There was no more toilet paper in the men's toilets. To eat: — 1x carbonara - Unfortunately, the noodles were very sticky and the sauce was quite spicy despite choosing the “little chili and garlic” option. Portion size good. — 2x ciabatta - It was okay, but baked quite crispy. — 1x tomato soup - It was delicious and fruity. — 1x salad with grilled vegetables and burrata - The dressing was tasteless, the burrata was unfortunately not creamy at all but solid. The grilled vegetables were cold, the rosemary potatoes were at least lukewarm. Overall, a very disappointing visit that we will not repeat.

Man geht zu Vapiano, weil man vor oder nach einer Reise noch einmal mit schöner Aussicht gemütlich etwas Frischgekochtee essen will - dafür ninmt Vapiano ja auch (gemessen an einem Standarditaliener, Imbissbude oder Take-Away) ja auch saftige Preise. Wenn man Take-Away will oder sich mit Fertigessen gegnügen möchte, gibt es im Berliner Hauptbahnhof und im Zug deutlich günstigere Optionen. Vorweg: Das Personal ist extrem freundlich. Das Problem ist vielmehr, erstens, dass das Bestellsystem katastrophal organisiert ist: Man kann theoretisch am Platz mit QR-Code bestellen (funktioniert nicht wegen Netzproblemen) oder an einem Screen (selbst wenn nur ein Gast vor einem ist, dauert das 10-15 Minuten). Da ich einen Zug erwischen musste und vorher noch essen wollte, konnte ich ausnahmsweise an der Theke bestellen - ich habe explizit zum Vor-Ort-Essen bestellt. Bekommen habe ich dann Take-Away (das ich nicht mag, weil Pasta dann immer matschig sind und auch die Geschmäcker vermischt sind, Käse schon drin). Als ich gebeten habe, das Essen neu zu machen - so, wie ich es bestellt hatte -, wurde es einfach nochmal durchgeschwenkt. Das Resultat war, dass die Pasta noch matschiger und schmackhafter waren. Widerliches Essen für einen saftigen Preis.

I recently visited Vapiano at Berlin Central Station, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The cashier was extremely rude and unhelpful, showing no willingness to assist or listen to my questions. It even felt like she was pretending not to understand English, which added to the frustration. As for the food, it was overpriced, which wouldn’t have been an issue if the quality matched the cost—but it didn’t. The dishes fell short in terms of flavor and presentation, making the whole experience underwhelming. In conclusion, this visit left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Unfortunately, the Vapiano seems to have deteriorated, but was once better. A meal came wrong so I had to argue with other guests. One time cutlery was missing. Lasagna was cold and Cabonara tasted better. Unfortunately, it wasn't a nice visit to Vapiano. Make something of some of the bad reviews and do better in the future!!!

Super cool staff, I thought my food was fantastic, it was super quick and half eat on site, half take away was no problem at all! Addition: Whoever answers the posts here understands communication! It's rare to see a restaurant that can accept criticism as well as the Vapiano here, where many of the reviews are certainly not entirely fair and I also find it particularly terrible when the names of the employees are mentioned in the reviews. You have a bad day and you get publicly exposed! But you manage to handle it in a highly professional manner. Hats off to you for that!

The service was way too slow and disorganized! After 40 minutes of waiting I gave up and left again. When I told the employee at the checkout about my trouble, he didn't even act like he was sorry, just like he didn't care at all. Definitely a very bad example for this restaurant chain!

I have no malicious intent. We paid 29€ for carbonara and pizza, or 4,650 yen in Japanese yen. The noodles were so overcooked that they stuck to the back of my teeth while I was eating them, and I've never made pasta like that before, even at home. There is a boiling time that is appropriate for the thickness of the noodles, so all you have to do is watch the clock. The pizza crust was hard and difficult to chew. It's overcooked on the level of Japanese rice crackers. In other words, it doesn't seem like it was prepared by a professional chef. It tasted good, so it must have been according to the manual. However, the noodles are terrible. Maybe it would have been better to use penne. After being served a sub-amateur dish by a temporarily hired and inexperienced chef who had never cooked at home, the young man at the reception desk asked me at the exit if it was delicious. What should I answer when asked? I had to laugh bitterly. Some people have commented on how delicious it is, so it must have been a coincidence that the food was prepared by a professional chef. congratulations. I guess we lost in the lottery. Over the past 10 years, I've eaten a variety of cuisines in various countries, but no matter how cheap the yen is, this meal was one of the worst in terms of value for money. McDonald's, Domino's Pizza, KFC, and Burger King all have the same taste, almost according to the instructions, no matter what country or region you go to. Probably because the system is complete. And it's cheap. It's not super delicious, but it tastes the same as usual, so you can pay and eat with peace of mind. Does this restaurant not have a cooking manual? Or, even if you fail to prepare the food according to the instructions, do you pretend you don't know and let the customers eat it? All in all, it was a frustrating experience. My first night in Berlin was a nightmare. At this restaurant, it's a smart choice to order just a drink and a salad. Once you order the food, the rest is up to your luck. I just hope you don't lose out in the lottery like we did.

Debating if or not to do this review. The lady at the order counter was either really trying to be incredibly rude, or she is just not good at her job. I asked for a Funghi Risotto with beef to go (don’t judge my order please) and had to repeat it 5 times, slowly, and she still didn’t write it correctly. The kitchen staff was rude when I pointed out that I had ordered it differently and to go. The risotto in question was very mid, at best. No flavour at all. And then the guy at the door, who if was any snarkier would probably show up on one of MTV’s reality shows. Overall, the service was bad, the food was okay, and if I never have to eat at the Hauptbahnhof again I will never visit this place.

Regarding their staff and service, there are some things that need improvement: 1. The bar staff is not very communicative, so you might feel ignored. 2. I can understand (as was my case) that the same person preparing drinks might not be able to take orders at the same time. However, it's unacceptable to let a line of people form because the restaurant doesn't assign another person to the bar to take orders. I appreciate the receptionist for informing me about the average waiting time between placing an order and receiving the food (in this case, about 30 minutes). Other than that, everything was fine. Good price for the cost benefit of it. Food was prepared quickly. The place is a bit confusing, on where you should order the food, where you take it, and etc. The carbonara was average, and the pizza was good. Super convenient the location.

Food has to be picked up yourself, catastrophic! Pinsa is frozen, way too hard and greasy. Service is rude. Better to go to mecces instead of going to the snot shop there.

When I asked where I could order, I was sent around the corner to the bar. I stood there in the queue for 10 minutes. When I wanted to order, I found out that I couldn't order without a Vapiano card. Thanks for nothing. Guys, it's not self-explanatory for foreigners. Opposite at the Foodfactory everything was great, tasty and lightning fast.

The system is difficult for the premises. Everything in the ordering area is very tight. Two people take orders for a very large number of people. The treatment and service was correspondingly irritating. As a customer, you push your way through the narrow aisle with your food. Not again, despite the great view.

Overall a pleasant place. However, the very long wait before you can even place your order at the counter (there is only one) prevented me from getting a dessert after my meal. I then paid €13.95 for pasta with Bolognese - the portion was okay, but I looked for the Bolognese in vain. Maybe I should have brought my magnifying glass. I could have paid €5 less for pasta with a simple tomato sauce. It's a shame for the price difference. Service was OK.

Got just cooked noodles with nothing. Nobody asks you for ingredients you want or anything like that. The place is dirty and worn out. Not recommended
