Very nice and beautiful restaurant. The food was good, and they also serve gluten-free pizza, which tastes great. We ordered pizza to go. You order on a screen and then receive a device with a number. When it vibrates, you can pick up your food.

Such a stark difference from the early years. The place has a cafeteria feel. What used to be a pizza place is now overpriced, square, and smaller. It was OK and probably freshly made, but there's no reason to go there anymore. There's no service anymore; you're greeted by a machine, like at Maces, that immediately asks for a tip. The waitress rushes to your empty pineapple board before you've even finished the last bite. But the mess stays there until you ask for a rag. So, no! Going to Vapiano is nothing special anymore.

There's something about the experience that changed. I think the self-ordering machines do away with a lot of the experience that I used to enjoy about Vapiano. Food is still great. Atmosphere is non-existent. Call me cheap if you want, but I don't agree with being prompted to leave a tip at a self-service restaurant, where I order from a screen.

Much too expensive and not very tasty

Vapiano's used to be so good, but now the prices keep going up and the quality massively down. 17€ for a simple chicken alfredo is a bit outrageous. My dishes have been consistently bad. Today's chicken alfredo was watery and tasteless. Another time I ordered bolognese and the spaghetti were all glued together with a very thin beef ragu. Bonus points: the terrace is nice and the staff are friendly. No one bats an eyelid when you sit here for a while. I have used this Vapiano a couple of times as a base but the food really is bad to the point it's inedible. Same with the other branches at Potsdamer Platz or Alex. It's a shame that Vaps has gone down so much in Germany in other countries e.g. UK or Finland the dishes are great and there is also some variety and special dishes. The menu in Germany is bland and really boring.

Vapiano steadily declined throughout the years. What was a very good concept is barely any better than fast food now. The tomatoes used are very acidic so all the tomato sauce dishes were not good at all as well as oversalted. Asked for carbonara without parsley, of course it came with a bunch of parsley. The bread which came with the soup was also stale (even though it mentioned it would come with croutons. The Lasagna was acidic and oversalted All of this for 34€? I’d rather go to McDonalds. Oh and the cherry on top? They self-service displays ask for a tip. At a place where it’s self service and no human gets your order!

Unfortunately, I have to say that the restrooms were a disaster. (Not cleaned.)

I was there today at 12:00, and it wasn't that busy. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The food took a little longer. I ate the oily pasta like they had there (arrabiata fusilli). I was hungry and wanted to leave soon on the ICE train. A Coke plus pasta (extra handful) cost over 15 euros, way too expensive. Terrible! Anyone who likes good food should really avoid it. This is the third or fourth time I've had a bad meal at Vapiano, whether it's Berlin, Dresden, or Frankfurt... take your time and go to a real Italian restaurant. Or, if you're in a hurry, go to a really low-class McDonald's ;-) I was there at lunchtime in June 2025, and it's gotten even worse. The ordering process was confusing! I thought, OK, try again, no, I give up, I'll go to a real Italian restaurant. Please give up and close. Every Italian is happy about that!

Everything worked perfectly, I ordered digitally, the food was ready quickly, we sat outside in the shade, and the staff were very friendly - we'd be happy to go again :)

The old decor and lighting were cozy and much better! The new decor doesn't look good at all—the store feels cold and uninviting. No wonder there are hardly any customers anymore; it used to be always full!

Vapiano pleased with its cleanliness and comfort. Honestly, I wanted to wash myself off after the train station, so beautiful and so smelly, with a bunch of homeless people and drug addicts. The food is super tasty, as in all Vapianos, the staff is very attentive and courteous. No queues, although we were there on Saturday evening. I'm taking off one star only because of the train station

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the space was very nice. The pinsa and pizza tasted okay. I don't recommend the carbonara, and the lasagna was abysmally bad; it could be compared to a ready-made lasagna from a supermarket.

A lot has improved since my last visit, they now have self-service kiosks where you can put your order and sit down. Overall very good experience now, prices are a bit higher than 5 years ago, but that's everywhere since the inflation has gone up.

The food is great! The pizza and pasta were both very good. However, I found the prices a bit high. You order at an electronic counter. The rest of the food was packed for us. It's actually quite good for a relatively quiet way to pass the time at the train station.

I don't understand the many negative reviews here. This is my second time at Vapiano in Berlin Central Station, and I've been very satisfied both times. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and not overly expensive. I also can't vouch for the long wait times. I'll definitely stop by again on my next business trip to Berlin.

A random guy tried to rob a woman, and I had to intervene, and he started a fight. The chefs helped me detain the guy until the police arrived. Everything else was a solid 10/10.

Excellent option for a takeaway for a trip

With pleasure, here's a detailed version. A real little highlight! The Illy Café offers perfect Italian coffee while standing – just like in Rome. The tiramisu was surprisingly good, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt despite the hustle and bustle. Ideal for a quick but stylish coffee stop. A clear 5 stars!

We ordered two dishes for a late lunch. The dishes were full of mushrooms, which my partner would have preferred less of. We didn’t really have a service experience, as we ordered through machines, which was a shame — there were very few staff members, and that affected our overall experience. Nice spot to spend an hour while waiting for the train, relaxing music, clean kitchen, lot of space. Good smell in toilets. Waitress look not tired, smiling. Took risotto mushroom, tasted much better than in some restaurants. Prices are moderate, paid less than EUR 15.

Horrible, horrible food and service

Tasty but not filling. I paid for extra chicken, but it still got so little chicken. 4 mini pieces. I paid €15 in total and don't think the "service" or portion is good.

It's a real shame! It was a really good place for a long time, with direct service at the counter and the chance to watch the food being cooked – really nice. Now it's just an overpriced chain restaurant with overwhelmed and correspondingly unfriendly staff. It's no longer worth the name.

What can you say... unfriendly staff long waiting times After we had ordered, which wasn't for very little money and after 20 minutes nothing had happened, we asked how long it would take since our train was coming immediately afterwards and the meal hadn't even started at that time. We wanted to cancel the order after a tip from an employee. When we went to the responsible employee, still completely stressed, we were just told that this wasn't possible and that she didn't have time for us now. We didn't see anything of our almost €50 again, let alone have anything to eat.

Escaping the rush and hustle and bustle at the main train station: I like to eat here. Friendly service.

We had lunch before leaving for the airport. We ordered pasta with shrimp and meat. It was very tasty. BUT, unfortunately, we received severe poisoning.

Damn expensive. For a medium-sized portion of chicken alfredo you pay just under €16.50. That's really crazy, but at least it tastes very good.

A chain popular in Austria and Germany. Fast, efficient and predictable, prices slightly lower than in traditional restaurants. You either order electronically and pay by card or at the checkout, but then you only pay in cash. The quality is ok, absolutely in line with other vapianos 😉

Wrong opening times! Google Maps says until 10:30 p.m., but you won't be allowed in after 10 p.m.

Solides Essen, leider zu überteuerten Preisen. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist gut, auch wenn der Bestellprozess entweder am Orderpoint oder über QR-Code am Tisch doch eher kompliziert ist. Das Essen wurde nach erfolgreicher Bestellung in schon eher Fastfood typischer Manier und Zeit zu bereitet; was sich leider auch im Geschmack und Temperatur der Speisen bemerkbar gemacht hat. Als Fazit würde ich sagen, wer schnell was als Alternative zum typischen Fastfood essen möchte und dem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis weniger wichtig ist kann hier sicher fündig werden. Wir werden nicht nochmal hingehen, da man für das Geld besseres Essen in Berlin ohne Schwierigkeiten finden kann.

Worst pizza I've tried in life! I understand that it is a restaurant in Bahnhof, but please. It shouldn't be so inedible. We are not animals!

I ordered pasta chicken piccante. It was sp sweet, it wasn't barely edible. I reported this to the kitchen. They think it should be slightly sweet. They didn't care much about how the food tasted. I've had better experiences elsewhere at Viapono. But well, it's at the train station.

The worst food, super tasteless

If I order a pasta with chicken, the least I can expect is that it comes with chicken, it didn't come with practically anything and the flavor was very average.

Avoid this place if you’re a tourist or foreigner. I had a terrible experience with both the barista and the manager—they completely ignored me but answered the same question in German for a German customer. On top of that, the pasta was overpriced and not worth a cent. UPDATE : I’m not coming back after that experience. Why would I spend time and money just to risk being treated badly again? If you have an apology, say it here. Or do you expect me to come back for a small discount? An email ? Waste of my time, say what you need to say here. No apologies so far ….

Very very slow you wait more than half an hour for the food

A solid shop. The dishes are very tasty and inexpensive. Just the right thing for a quick hunger and also very tasty. There are only a few deficiencies in the service. The employees seem a little annoyed but otherwise a good shop!

I got something to eat for my girlfriend and myself for €26. We had 40 minutes until our train arrived. We waited in vain for our food for 40 minutes and nothing came. Why do you open a shop at the train station where it's not quick for the food to arrive or at least inform your customers that it might take a little longer. Most customers will probably be travelers so everyone is on the move. Now we are on the train with no food and have spent €26 for nothing.

Everything poorly organized. Extremely long waiting times and you are not informed - this is at a main station where many people have to get their train. Spent €27 for nothing because I had to leave after waiting 20 minutes and wouldn't have been anywhere near the next one.

La comida era buena y a un precio razonable. Yo consideraría este restaurante más de un casual rápido. pides desde un quiosco de pantalla táctil, consigues un dispositivo tipo buscapersonas y esperas a que tu pedido esté preparado. No tardamos mucho en conseguir nuestro pedido y nos sentamos en cualquier mesa disponible. La comida sabía bien, ya que se preparó justo mientras esperábamos.

Were there yesterday around lunchtime, the food was quite good and the service (I think her name was Vivi) was incredibly nice and accommodating, that's why 5 stars!

That wasn't a particularly good visit. Pizza is already cold, dry and relatively small. Not the usual Vapiano quality. Organization takes some getting used to. Beer “on tap” was poured from bottles while our food continued to get cold at the same time. Bad even for Berlin Hbf. Sorry.

What can I say, it's just a restaurant in the train station but I have to say that it was tidy and not loud. We felt comfortable and can recommend everyone to eat there rather than somewhere else in the train station.

There was this super nice lady who spotted that our pinsa wasn’t vegan right away and she changed it immediately. Nice conversation with her ended with her saying goodbye to us in our own language. Only if I got her name! Thank you for such good service and conversation!

Charging €14 for this half bowl of salad is cheeky and unjustified. One star for the staff being nice.

We arrived at Vapiano super late and with the current order status we didn't actually have enough time to get our meal. But the employees did everything so that we had our pasta to go within 7 minutes. Thank you!!

Hello, we tried to eat, but were extremely disappointed... the Krombacher Weizen was the only thing we really liked. It took 30 minutes for the food to be ready; the taste of the Pinsa was similar to a frozen pizza. The pasta was saltier than the Mediterranean. The lamps were missing on some of the tables... the view is quite nice because you are reminded that you could have gone to Foodfactory. I was there once 8 years ago, I actually remembered the store well. Too bad...! How can you prepare pasta so badly? Unfortunately the pizza was cold, which was a shame. Had a lot of potential... Very annoying!

Unfortunately our experience at Vapiano was not that great. Pasta was overcooked and tasteless, pizza's were too tough and were not that hot. Dough didn't taste freshly made and pizza tasted like it came from the freezer... At least one of the female employees (Francisco) seemed attentive and friendly, she deserves a good salary!

I went to Vapiano this afternoon however their scan to order function was just not working. Thanks to this super friendly and nice staff Vivi, I didn’t get hungry to death. Vivi is super patient and sweet to every single customer and her smile and service just made my day. It’s a 10/10 service, Vapiano is just so lucky to have her.

I accidentally ordered twice because a previous receipt came from the machine. Super nice service person took back an order and canceled it. Really great, will come back next time I visit Berlin.

It is a simply great place!! You order a beer and before you get to the table the very friendly people are ready!! And the very pretty ladies are actually in the center of Berlin to eat something delicious Italian style, highly recommended 🤠🤠🤠

It's terrible what they offer as spaghetti Bolognese, totally sticky and unpleasant to eat, every school child can cook it better. What seems impossible to me in retrospect is that the owner receives bad reviews for months and the quality management does nothing about it. Always the same saying, we're sorry, but that doesn't change the worst food we've had in a long time.

Cozy place, welcome and order. For the price, the most expensive salad with grilled vegetables had unacceptable quality: arugula half dead, wilted iceberg lettuce, grilled eggplant and peppers rather cooked and totally mushy, hardly any dressing. Latte macchiato too small and lukewarm.

We went two times for breakfast (you have some options for bruschetta and/or paninis and coffee). We also went once for dinner. Both times the food was amazing. Also the staff/service was very nice and very attentive. You can order on your own and save time, the only problem is that, when busy the staffs not very accessible (understandable). Otherwise we enjoyed the restaurant very much.

I can only agree with the comments. Food ok and a good alternative to the rest of the offer at the train station. But over 30 minutes for penne with tomato sauce is really too long, especially when you can see that pasta that just sticks together is being heated up in tomato sauce. You can't find space because of all the dirty dishes.

Borderline! I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. My visit was on January 1st, 2025. You can now place your order directly at the table using your cell phone. To do this, you have to scan the existing QR code. If this doesn't work, a website will be pointed out. As soon as the food is ready, you will receive a text message. I ordered a Mezzo Mix 0.33 l. The drink was brought to my table immediately after I submitted the order. For dinner I once ordered the Pasta Pomodoro and Bruschetta. The price itself is ok. Quality pretty bad. First of all, if you offer the table ordering service, please not only partially. But completely. I had received a text that I could pick up my food. I had to leave my seat and walk halfway across the store to pick up my food. Since I was alone, no one could look after my jacket for valuables. In my opinion, it's not a service for me if I have to pick up my food myself. The food was lukewarm! The noodles were sticky and just stuck. The same goes for the bruschetta. Sticky and totally salty. While eating, I noticed that the staff behind the counter was playing with their cell phones. Instead of busying yourself with your cell phone, you can also serve food to guests. I'm not coming back!

How can you actually mess up pasta....?! It's worth taking a quick train home rather than waiting for food. Absolute juice shop :(

Good morning, I have just arrived in Berlin shortly. I am here to improve my English as a student, I went to order from Vapiano with my sister. We ordered a Caesar salad for my part and a pesto pasta dish to take away. The wait was long because the command receiver had been assigned to another command even though it had been given to the machine to make its order. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, returning to our hotel I realized that they only put salad with Caesar sauce in my order even though I had selected all the ingredients to put in it ( 14 euros for the Caesar salad), in total I paid almost 30 euros (expensive) to have only salad and sauce in my Caesar salad… Certainly there were a lot of people, but these kinds of things need to be checked beforehand, if I had known I would have ordered something else so as not to forget my ingredients and find myself eating like a sheep. I can assure you that I had the nerves to pay that price for salad, even that can happen but hey. Honestly despite that, it may be a good restaurant but the experience I had there really disgusted me.

Beautiful food with amazing service, in a lovely setting. They are especially good with allergies, the staff asking as you order if you want the allergy-free options - and if you use the touch-screen to order, you have all the options for allergens, adding toppings, and removing toppings. Overall a great dining experience.

The food was fine but there was a lot of confusion around how to get our food and drinks, with it all being self-serve. Our initial payment somehow failed a few minutes -after- we placed it, and it took us about 20 minutes to notice that our order had been cancelled. After reordering it was a very long wait and the server initially didn’t believe me that I’d paid for our drinks. Having to pick up the food and drinks from different counters seems to cause a lot of confusion. It would be a much better restaurant if they just had normal servers taking your order and bringing you food. What’s weird is they seem to have enough staff for that.

The experience at this Vapiano was extremely awful. At the moment when we stepped in the restaurant, the manager started showing how he managed the restaurant by warning us with strict attitude that the drinks from outside were not allowed in the restaurant without saying a hello. The lady at the cashier was very rude too. I spread my hand to express my feeling of not understanding her attitude after the unpleasant conversion and then the manager came to me claiming that ALL his workers are friendly and do not use the gestures to his workers. The dramatic manager tried to blame customers for everything, giving the excuses of ‘friendly’ workers instead of attempting to understand the situation and solving the actual problem. Never would I recommend anyone to come here because they treat customers like dogs.

Fast food-level pasta for people who don't have high expectations

Food is great, but unfortunately it takes quite a long time until it is ready. Especially when you have to catch a train... Waited 20 minutes for 2 paninis, staff should work faster, especially in a train station where there is so much stress and time pressure.

Food was okay (as usual from the chain), but the cleanliness of the entire restaurant was subpar. Dirty tables everywhere that were waiting to be wiped down, full trays of plates etc. everywhere that had to be cleared away and the toilet was a complete disaster. I'll spare the perhaps hungry readers the dirty details.

Was there in the evening because my train wasn't running. Luckily the restaurant is open until 10:30 p.m For a franchise restaurant, it is also very nice here, the conditions and the service were also very friendly. I can't complain about my food either. Top 👍🏼
