The waiters are terrible. Extremely bad service—my subjective opinion!

We were in the bistro area last night. A truly beautiful location with a pleasant atmosphere. I was very happy that our friend chose this spot. The service was initially very attentive. Unfortunately, we weren't satisfied with our meal. The fact that the bistro area has a limited selection actually put us in a positive mood, and we chose a shawarma made from a pita with oyster mushrooms, parsley couscous salad, and hummus. This dish was definitely a surprise, and a disappointing one at that. Lots of couscous, little parsley, tasteless mushrooms, and only a little hummus. It was also a dry affair. A real shame. I don't mind the price. However, it should be worth it. We certainly wouldn't have come back for the location, but for the food. Unfortunately, that won't happen.

Unfortunately, a very average experience. We went there for lunch to give it a try. We'll refrain from going there in the evening for now. We sent back one course because the dish was simply not prepared properly. The replacement was excellent and gave us hope for the main course and dessert. Both were good, but not outstanding. The problem was the service, which wasn't overly friendly. But you can expect a minimum level of professionalism in a restaurant like this. But when guests sit with their empty, dirty plates for about 10-15 minutes, it's not nice. Overall, a very average experience. Other comparable restaurants can do much better. We'll go back there for now; perhaps we'll give Root another chance in a year.

The prices suggest this is a rather pretentious restaurant. The quality of the food and service speak a different language. The chicken was dry, the food was cold, and the tartar was covered in dry, overcooked egg yolk. The sushi and salad were okay. The service was inattentive, the bar was slow, and the restaurant was empty.

A very chic restaurant with a lovely ambiance. The food: small portions for a large price. The drinks are also expensive, but the location and the chic have to be paid for somehow. Service: very pleasant. Cons: Since there were only a few guests, some work was being done in the restaurant, which made noise (sounded like heavy objects being pushed across the floor). Given the lovely ambiance and the high price of the dishes, I would have preferred some peace and quiet to enjoy the meal.

Both thumbs up for the lunch menu on the terrace. The Asian inspired 3 course lunch (including fish and mochi) was made from scratch and of good ingredients. Plating was pretty. Portions were on the smaller side. The table was well set with a crisp white cotton tablecloth, napkins and a pretty fresh flower. Hospitality was impeccable and the location central with a nice view of the Museum Island. Definitely recommended and excellent value for money.

Cool atmosphere. The service was oooo-okay when we entered and were served for the first time (!) (We still don't know why it's so funny to order a soda with your drink). After that, it was so lackluster, so frustrated that we left our lonely, empty glasses after the first round and went somewhere else.

The Root in the Telegraph Office is a beautiful restaurant with an extraordinary location. We were surprised that the restaurant was almost completely empty at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday, and even afterward, only a few guests arrived. After our meal, we were able to understand why. The Crunchy Sushi Roll had a kind of Parmesan cream on each individual sushi slice, but the cream was far too thick for our taste, so it simply tasted of Parmesan and nothing else. The flavor of the sushi was completely overpowering. We wanted the entrecôte medium, but unfortunately, it arrived completely cooked and dry. So we sent it back, and the second one was medium, but still very dry. The meat doesn't seem to be of good quality, which is a shame considering the price. The beef tartare was delicious, as was the California roll. The fries with the truffle mayo were also good, and the cocktails were even excellent. The service is also very good; we weren't even charged for the entrecôte in the end, and the service was otherwise very attentive. In our opinion, the problem definitely lies with the chefs in the kitchen. All in all, a shame! What we would also add is that perhaps the music should be turned up a bit louder, because if the place is already sparsely attended, it's even more unpleasant when you can hear every conversation, as well as every tiny noise in the entire room. You hardly dare to have a conversation; it's very thinly sounded. This might be appropriate for lunch, but in the evening, you'd wish for a bit more atmosphere.

Unfortunately our visit was on April 27th. very disappointing. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately much too slow. And this despite the fact that only three tables were occupied on Sunday lunchtime. We first had to wait a long time for the drinks and then a drink was missing from our order. The food was even more disappointing; The salad including the ingredients was too salty, the bread with the avocado bread was rock hard and old. Price-performance ratio is not right here at all and it doesn't fit the hotel's standards at all. After this experience, I would also not recommend the hotel, since as a hotel guest you also eat the food in the restaurant.

I came, ate – and was thrilled! On a cozy Saturday evening, the three of us had a little girls' night out at Root - and what can I say? We were consistently happy and completely convinced. The location? Simply beautiful! Lovingly set tables, a modern, warm atmosphere and the small booths create just the right mix of style and coziness. You immediately feel comfortable. The service was a real highlight: no waiting times, extremely attentive, with an eye for detail - and at the same time wonderfully friendly and at eye level. A bit of fun included, which is exactly how you like to order one or two more drinks. In terms of cuisine, you can expect Asian-inspired cuisine with a great selection and perfect portion sizes. A hit in terms of taste – fresh, refined and simply delicious! In short: For me, one of the best restaurants in Berlin if you value the overall package of ambience, service and cuisine - and I say that with a clear conscience, because I eat out often. It was our first time at Root Restaurant. We actually wanted to go to the bistro, which unfortunately is now only open on a few days after the renovation. The staff is very nice, always with a relaxed attitude. We felt very comfortable, even though we were among influencers and hipsters. The location is beautiful. We were allowed to change tables every now and then if we wished. Unfortunately we waited a long time for the main course. After we asked (and the waitress looked suitably shocked), someone came 5 minutes later to apologize and offer a drink on the house. Unfortunately, this only came after we asked, because the “normal” drinks had arrived in the meantime. The quality and composition of the food is great! Absolutely delicious, high quality and fresh. Some with a special twist, some quite “normal”, but still great. It was reopening, so maybe. a little overwhelmed. We will give it another chance to increase it to 5 stars.

Nice location, service but very bad!

It was our first time here since the new kitchen opened and we weren't sure what we wanted to eat. We asked for the chef, he came out and kindly gave us advice. It was very tasty and beautifully presented. The “Wagyu Braised with Celery and Carrots” was buttery and the crispy chicken had a slight sweetness to it. Thank you for the delicious food and the great service staff.

ROOT continues to impress with its striking location and thoughtfully designed interior. The ambiance remains one of the restaurant's strongest assets! The service on our recent visit was adequate, if not particularly memorable. However, we were disappointed with the menu, which has shrunk considerably since our last visits, offering far fewer options than before. Also, the food, while tasty, was not as good as it used to be. The stewed Wagyu beef, which should have been tender and flavorful, was surprisingly tough.

Unfortunately, the value for money was not at all right. While the service was excellent – ​​the staff were very friendly and attentive – and the ambiance was stylishly decorated, the food unfortunately couldn't live up to that. The steak was served without even asking for the desired doneness. Most of the steaks were rare, which not all guests liked, and one colleague's was even lukewarm. The presentation of the dishes was unappealing. The dessert was a real disappointment: crème brûlée with ice cream, gummy bears, and fizzy wafers? That seems more like a creation for a child's birthday party than for a restaurant in this price range. We've been to many restaurants, but we've rarely paid so much for such a poor meal. Despite the friendly staff, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant. Thank you for your reply, but there won't be another visit. There were 30 of us on Saturday, and everyone agreed: Once and never again!

We were there after the "reopening." Prices have gone up again. We paid almost €300 for two people. Unfortunately, the value for money is no longer right. The "César salad" has clumped packets of Parmesan cheese on it instead of freshly shaved, the meat was gray when cut (probably left raw in the fresh air too long), the wild herb salad with tofu is smothered in a thick sauce, thus losing the lightness of the dish. 6 rolls of sushi for almost €30??? Are the fish swimming in golden water? The card machine deducts a 15% tip even though you press the 10% button... When we asked, they gave us the overpayment back with a wink of an eyebrow. We ordered two Prosecco as an aperitif. The bill included champagne... A shame, because the location and the adjoining bar are very nice.

We had the sushi platter for 130 euros, which was really very good and absolutely enough for two people. The drinks were also great, even though the prices are very high. Unfortunately, our waiter misbehaved in the end and ruined what was actually a very nice evening. When it came time to pay and our bill was reduced significantly thanks to a voucher, despite the tip there was no longer even a “Thank you.” Have a nice evening!” enough. Without a word and without giving us another look, the card reader was collected and we disappeared, never to be seen again. We didn't even receive a receipt because the terminal's receipt roll was gone. Sorry, but for a store in this price range this is absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful behavior and we definitely won't be coming back.

The ambience is really exceptionally nice and the service was also very good. But the food is really NOTHING special. A lot of fried food, the eggplants are absolutely boring, the sushi is ok but not what you might expect for the price. There is still a lot of potential for improvement.

We had such a great time, a warm welcome at the door. They took our coats. Showed us our cozy table. The waiters were friendly and humorous. Meal portions are actually decent. Not too small. We were quite full from what we ordered and could hardly finish our dessert. The wine was good👌 Great ambiance, the lighting, mood and sound. It’s just a relaxed place. Well worth a try.

We became aware of ROOT via a website called “Extraordinary Restaurants in Berlin” and traveled about an hour. You can do this for a good dinner. Ambiance and service were good. What unfortunately doesn't work is the price-performance ratio. Afterwards we felt a bit ripped off. At the beginning - they do this cleverly - you first put the aperitif card on the table. In our case, for 2 aperitifs you are 34eur. The whiskey sour came in a standard tumbler. Two sips and the glass is empty, oh what a surprise, you bought 60% ice cubes for 17eur. Afterwards we had 4 dishes from the menu. First there was shell in the crab with French beans. Well, a raw vegetable salad made with chili bitter bane and green beans and an extremely thick breadcrumb baked crab. It was too spicy and not special. Afterwards came a Label Rouche salmon sashimi, which was really good, you could feel the high quality. This was also the only dish where the price was ok. My wife had the sole with dashi butter sauce and phad thai. I have to say the 69 euros were actually a disgrace. The PadThai (noodles) came in an extremely inedible marinade. In the end only the small piece of sole remained and after deducting pannade that was probably a maximum of 150g. The Pad Thai didn't go well with the sole and spiced butter sauce at all. I then had 4 slices of tataki, which came with some kind of noodle straw. Unfortunately, that wasn't my taste either and seemed very playful. The spice combination was kind of weird. All in all we had 210eur on the payroll and left rather unhappy. I was even hungry because the dishes were very small. Unfortunately for me it's not an experience I have to repeat.

A decadent morning after the grand finale of Berlinale 2025!

I was taken to the restaurant yesterday. A magical ambience. We had a great place. Dogs allowed 😃 The food was fantastic and our waiter Kaan was very attentive and gave us excellent advice on the food and wine selection. My dog ​​also got water straight away. We'll definitely be back!

Nice location but unfortunately the food was nothing special.

I'm only reviewing the bar here and not the food. The bar itself is nice to look at and the crowd is pleasant. I was here on a Friday evening and it wasn't crowded. The cocktails are priced in the top league. You should plan on spending just under 20 euros per drink. There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste, but the decoration was very unimaginative and was the same for all drinks. I expect more in a bar like this. The crew was very attentive, but sometimes a bit intrusive. Seeing a guest sit without a drink for a few minutes seems to cause physical pain to the guests 😅 But they were nice and so there were tips.

First of all: We just had a tea. Typically I wouldn't write a review for that, but this has been a place, which left me stunning. We've went there Wednesday evening, around 10pm. The place was chill, with enough space and possibility for a talk, but still felt lively. The staff was super refreshing and nice. I'll come back for sure and add some images to that review. If food and drinks are alright, this place is be gold.

Beautiful location, with a great bar as well as a nice restaurant. The sushi was delicious and great quality. They use real Wasabi, which is rare. Great presentation of the food. Very nice atmosphere.The staff is friendly, fast and professional. I would recommend this place and come back!

Super delicious cocktails in a chic yet relaxed atmosphere

Creamy and perfectly cooked, the risotto’s al dente grains paired beautifully with the subtle sweetness of sautéed cabbage. A hint of parmesan and olive oil added richness, though a touch of acidity could have brightened the dish even more. Simple yet satisfying, it’s comfort food done right.

I've been to Root Bistro twice. Once for my bachelorette party and this weekend. A very chic atmosphere with great food. This time we sat in the front area as the back area is currently closed. There is a star deduction because the map has been reduced in size. It was a very nice evening. Would love to come back.

This is situated right next to the monbiju park. It's easy to miss from the street as there's no big sign outside, you have to kno to enter the hotel lobby to find it on the ground floor. The sitting area was big and could accommodate big groups. The food was good, some of them were delicious other weren't as good as they looked. I especially enjoyed the desserts especially the one that had matcha tea. The lamb schanks weren't flavourful enough for me, but the espresso martini was great. The wine menu was huge and had some of the most expensive wines i have seen in berlin. Overall i liked the place would love to visit again someday.

New opening I've eaten there twice in the last 10 days. Loving, authentic and professional evening accompaniment by Mr. Münch. A professional. Absolutely a culinary highlight in the Berlin gastronomic scene. The evening menu is well mixed, innovative sushi creations - surprisingly, I really liked the vegan sushi. The only thing I would like to see is a seasonal meat dish. Also like regional game. TOP.

I ate the lunch menu - steak fries with bearnaise sauce. The “Bearnaise” turned out to be Hollandaise out of the bag. For a restaurant with such standards and prices, this is out of the question. Despite the nice waiter, I'll never go there again.

Service was slow and inattentive. Eating sometimes took over an hour. Quality of the food was good but not excellent. Ambience very nice but way too loud with terrible acoustics.

I made reservations for dinner. The ambience is impressive. Unfortunately the service is not. I was asked to eat within 90 minutes so that the table could be reassigned. The drinks were only brought long after the food had been served. Food is always a matter of taste. But I would never enjoy sushi & Co. here again and would much rather enjoy it in other nice restaurants with Asian cuisine in Berlin.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Kellner geben einem den nötigen Abstand. Allerdings geben sie sich auch die Mühe jedes Gericht einzeln zu beschreiben und Empfehlungen auszusprechen. Qulität des Essens ist sehr hoch auch wenn es preislich über dem Durchschnitt liegt. Sushi absolutes Highlight. Lediglich das tomahawk Steak ist enttäuschend. Es wird mit 1,200g für 2-3 Personen empfohlen. Nimmt man Knochen weg dürften es max. 350-400g sein was für 3 Personen zu wenig ist. Und das für 160-180€. Jedoch würde ich das Restaurant jederzeit empfehlen.

Very tasty sushi and good service. The staff explained the sushi platter to us and gave additional recommendations. Not too intrusive but always available. Quality of the cocktails was also very good. Overall recommendable restaurant even if not cheap.

The food was exceptional. But the waiter ruined the whole meal for us. He put us down because of his opinion and that's just not possible.

great place in a historic old post office

An exclusive restaurant in a building that was built around 1900. Perfect design, delicious fine cuisine and after your meal you can treat yourself to a perfect cocktail at the bar. It is better to reserve the restaurant in advance. The bar without reservation We were there until almost 2:30 a.m. on a Friday.

The tables are already close together. Of course it saves time, but when you have small groups next to you, it gets a bit busy. But the food is really good and has great flavors. The truffle mayo should perhaps not be on every dish - it means you have the same flavor component everywhere and it easily loses the wow effect

An absolute gastronome recommendation in Berlin. A very interestingly put together menu and then prepared to perfection. The ambience of the store is modern and styled down to the last detail. The only thing that could be seen as a small disadvantage is that we were only seated at small tables in a very empty shop. In addition, with many free tables, someone was seated right next to us. The space would have been there to leave space between the tables.

After my two visits. I made several conclusions. I first came almost after opening. And everything was great. Service nice and professional. Tables and toilets was clean. Atmosphere was light. But my second time was catastrophic. Totally new not educated team. First the vodka on the bar was warm. And barkeeper didn’t say about that. Like I’m not really happy to pay 20€ for warm vodka. Second we was waited for 10 minutes to be seated. Tables was dirty. Waiter clean it in rush before us. And there was empty bottle of champagne close to our table, that also wasn’t taken. And the toilet. OMG. I don’t know maybe they had a private party this. Because it was look like in cheap night club. We didn’t get an attention from waiter, he forgot about our order. It was really complicated to ask someone for serve. My friends who came to visit me was really disappointed. I hope it’s only one time mistake. And next time my experience will be better

We had booked a table for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, no one was prepared. We were assigned a dirty table and wiped away the crumbs by hand. A second waiter at least noticed this and changed the tablecloth. Unfortunately only the upper one, not the lower one full of deep yellow spots. A new one was simply placed over it, very uncomfortable. The food was great, unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it as much as we would have liked. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Over salty across (except Sashimi...), too many things deepfried, over-cooked (fried) turbot. No respect for ingredients, focus only on instagrammable presentation.

Great ambience, good, fairly overpriced food, but you have to accept that given the location. However, the service didn't convince me - neither at the very beginning, just after the opening, nor now. The orders are forgotten, everything takes an extremely long time, the food either doesn't come at all (e.g. the fries with the burger?!) or not at the same time, which is an absolute no-go. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert and couldn't get a menu because everyone was super busy and just rushed past. All in all it was disappointing. P.S. The bar at the entrance is very good

Had brunch on Sunday and had a lot of fun! The restaurant was closed in the evening, but the bar was open. The day started with mimosas and ended with negronis.

Last Saturday we were five friends having a Brunch. The place is very nice and cozy, the treatment is very friendly and attentive and the food is very good. I recommend it 100%. The next time we go to Berlin we will definitely repeat!

We made a reservation at 12 p.m. Despite various free tables, we were left waiting in the lobby for a quarter of an hour. The service was inattentive. Dishes/orders were not delivered in full (e.g. missing orange juices, missing croissants). Dishes weren't delivered at the same time, so we had to eat staggered. Significantly too little bread for a big breakfast. Since the waiters apparently walked around with blinders on or were invited to various espresso martinis by a group of older women at the neighboring tables, there was no possibility of reordering. The cafe was delicious, the food was rather mediocre. You can have a much better breakfast in Berlin. ATTENTION: We ordered various Mimosa. These are not on the map. The charge was 19€/piece. Everything seems to have been done so that you don't want to come back. For a poor overall performance, over €150 was charged for three people.

I had dinner with work colleagues. It is a beautiful place that has managed to combine the historical origins of the building with a warm, modern design. Our waiter was very professional and, above all, friendly. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough support and the kitchen was used for a little longer (the restaurant was about 50% full). Hence a star deduction. The food was well prepared and tasted good. Sophisticated forms of preparation were used. Unfortunately the taste was not refined but GOOD. Hence a star deduction. I recommend visiting the restaurant. Make up your own mind. Unfortunately I didn't manage to try the sushi.

This place is a good example of totally overhyped. The service was subpar, very nonchalant for these prices. The food was just ok nothing special. Portion size is small. The place is loud because of the acoustics.

(Die Serviceleitung nehme ich an war tatsächlich ein bisschen unangenehm wie er durch den Raum gelaufen ist und um sich gesehen hat wirkte nicht wirklich sympathisch eher sehr abgehoben, zu ‘cool’) Der Thunfisch war ausgezeichnet! We went to Roots for breakfast. The ambience is really special and beautifully done. The service started well, we were greeted nicely and shown to the table. After that, hardly anyone came by. We waited over 1 hour for the food. When some things that were part of breakfast were forgotten (telepraphony), the waiter was annoyed. We had 2x the telegraph office (overpriced for what you get!!! Very loveless cake stands. Croissants only came when we asked and we had to wait another 30 minutes for them. Orange juice never came) and 1x Eggs Benedict. We also ordered 3x Mimosa. Don't make this mistake, since it's not on the menu, you'll probably decide the price yourself...€19 PER Mimosa. Really a disgrace. I definitely don't recommend Roots to my friends!

Das Restaurant besticht mit seinem „Fabrikcharme“. Alles perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt, Backsteinwände, Stahl, Glas. Aber: das war es dann auch schon an Positivem! Die Kellner sind derart arrogant und lahm. Sie ignorieren jeglichen Versuch, sie an den Tisch „zu locken“. Und wenn man Glück hat, dann nehmen Sie sich einem an, um unverrichteter Dinge auf Nimmerwiedersehen zu verschwinden. Meine Empfehlung: gehen Sie woanders hin!

This was my first time here. I spent my evening at this beautiful place to celebrate my friend’s birthday. And I just loved it so much!! The atmosphere, the interior but mostly the service! I don’t know how they do it but you don’t feel like you are in a big and full restaurant… it feels like private and calm… with good drinks, food and service. It should in one of these “101 places to visit in Berlin” books!

Amazing historical hotel that use to be a telegraph site and now turned into a hotel. The restaurant has high ceilings lots of light and kept its original molding. The building is unique in itself and quite a beautiful space. Our service was Excellent. She was attentive and anticipated our groups needs. Highly recommend for a lovely Sunday brunch. Great Benedict and the best item was the bagel Oso dish. All in all, great atmosphere, food and value.

Fantastic food and great service that made our evening perfect!

Was my 30th birthday today. I had asked for a nice table - I was offered a table in the very back corner. A large table should be reserved... you can see in the photo that no large tables are occupied. Many are free. We had a drink at the bar first to decide whether to stay. For the second time the waiter put the cards down and immediately left. Only the statement - “we are trying the table for the last time” is what I want to post here…. You would have to wait a long time for the food. Same with the drinks. Disrespectful behavior of the waiter... Again, talk like you would with my buddy... I have to feel uncomfortable here at a small table because the customers' wishes have simply not been taken into account - other large tables next to me are free... Completely free from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. I am very dissatisfied. It was a very bad decision to come here to the restaurant again. The food itself tastes very good, the bar is also great, sometimes when it's full there's a long wait...

Very cosmopolitan bar, cool design and literally the best tequila we ever had!! Incorrupto tequila is what it stands for! And the Barkeeper made us a delicious tequila sour on top of the shots

The location and atmosphere are great. A beautiful, open space with lots of light and great furnishings. The service was also very friendly. But the food just wasn't worth the money. The starters were tasty, but the beef tartare wasn't very tasty and the octopus was a bit dry. For the main course I had the beef steak - firstly, the presentation wasn't particularly nice and a bit careless. Secondly, it was too cooked and unfortunately the Bernaise sauce didn't taste good at all. The vegetables were delicious. The glass of red wine I ordered was far too cold. Overall it was okay, but unfortunately just way too expensive.

A very nice location with extremely nice service! We went to Root for breakfast and received a very warm welcome. The menu doesn't have a large selection, but it's completely sufficient. The quality was very good and extremely tasty. It's definitely not the last time we've been there...

I'm a little torn. The ambience is unique with the high atrium. I think it's not loud because of the many levels. Went there with a group and had a selection menu. Personally, I was missing a cheese option to complement the sweet dessert. Otherwise, with a meat, fish and vegan dish, everything is contemporary. Everything tastes Asian inspired and good. Service seems to be subject to sales goals when it comes to drinks and the wording when asking questions. I find it rather unpleasant. In general, the approach here does not correspond to a fine dining atmosphere. In the end, all in all, it's a weakly good experience.

This Restaurant was very inviting, stylishly decorated, and chic. The service was excellent and warm-hearted. We were served very attentively and with great friendliness. The food tasted very good. The prices are high, but definitely worth it for what you get.

Beautifully decorated and interior designed bar within one of the newest hotels in Mitte, Berlin. It's worth a visit as far as the bar is concerned and the restaurant looks amazing, but I will reserve judgement on that until we eat there. Bar is highly recommended for fantastic drinks and bar menu and fantastic ambience. FURTHER NOTE ON RESTAURANT....Just had an amazing meal at Roots for Christmas Eve. Service was exemplary, as expected. However, the real surprise for me was the quality of the food as it was of a really high quality indeed. I can personally say that the Beef Tartar, Tuna Tartar, Lamb, and the Mousse Chocolate were 10/10. Truly exceptional menu and beautifully balanced dishes throughout. The sushi options were also of a very high quality. The only downside I could find was that they ran out of Ketchup, much to the disdain of both of my daughters! Regardless of this, it was a superb experience with the only caveat being that 8 people spend over €650 and if that's in your budget, this is highly recommended, and it would be hard to find much better anywhere else without looking at Michelin restaurants.....enough said! FURTHER NOTE ON BRUNCH AT ROOT....we came for Brunch, and I had my first cappuccino here and Full English Breakfast in Berlin. The girls had the Steak Frites. First, the cappuccino was very disappointing, although not the worst I have had in Berlin, it was far below the standard I expect from this place. Not a equipment issue, more a lack of experience by whoever was preparing it. The poor cappuccino is emphasised even more because the breakfast and the steam Frites were fantastic. Really nice. Recommended, just avoid the cappuccino if you are a coffee nut like myself. Otherwise, go and enjoy!

Went there last weekend and everything was perfect. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, the sushi and dessert were beautifully presented and tasted even better. Also really enjoyed the bar afterwards, great music and crowd. Would go again!

Food and ambience were good. The one cold meal was quickly brought back warm but was still tasty. Unfortunately, the service was not at all adequate and rather unfriendly and ignorant. Given the prices, you can at least expect somewhat friendly treatment. That's a real shame, but it doesn't make you feel comfortable. So unfortunately only thanks to the kitchen.

Yeah. So the food was good. The ambience is great. Really nice. But we were really unlucky when it came to service… Things got off to a rough start, both at the entrance and at the table... the announcement at the table was that we only had two hours, and then we didn't come back for over twenty minutes to take the order. We were only able to order our food after almost 40 minutes... we were reassured with the words "no stress" when we asked if we could please order... Wine was only refilled when the waiter saw that we were already doing it ourselves and then took the bottle out of our hands when there was only the fifth glass left. To compensate for the overcooked steak and the waiting time, the five of us got two desserts, with big words saying that it was the waiter's fault... unfortunately the espresso we ordered 15 minutes ago didn't come with the dessert either, but when it had already been eaten. We sat at the table for significantly longer than 2 hours... you could have mentioned in between that the two hours would only be carried out under certain conditions and that we shouldn't worry because it really caused us some internal stress. We would have drunk a lot more wine if the waiter had been more on the ball. Unfortunately, his nice manner didn't help with the chaos. Surely he wasn't the only one responsible. But in the end, our only contact person. The bill didn't come for what felt like an eternity... so the evening ended in a somewhat annoying way.

It's always a pleasure to eat there. The staff takes wonderful care of us and makes sure everything runs smoothly. The food is so good that just thinking about it makes me hungry. That's why I can only recommend Root.

I was there recently and I was thrilled. The ambience was fantastic, the service was great, the food was great. I can only recommend!!

The dishes are not only visually appealing, but also taste great! The atmosphere is great and the staff make you feel very comfortable, everyone was extremely helpful and hospitable and made sure we didn't lack for anything. I'm super excited and would love to come back again and again!
