Vapiano in Berlin

They microwave their food, they don't season it or barely with pepper.... prague vapiano is way better, they actually cook the food fresh in front of you. This taste worse than my own lefterover food at home I microwave from the day before. BTW they even microwaved it wrong (very hot in center and cold at the edges) DO NOT EAT HERE.. I know for a fact they microwaved it because we got the food very fast, and the food was uneven hot and cooled down very fast, that can only occur if you microwave. I legitimately feel scammed.

I've been here twice and eaten pasta both times. They were good, but nothing special. The ability to order online via a QR code at the table - even as a group - is really cool and practical. The food also came relatively quickly.

The food was quite poor, the pizza was not Italian at all, a lot of cheese, little sauce, it looked nice but not worth the price.

The food was dreadful. Ordered the Pinsa, which - as far as I can tell - appears to be some kind of variant of a pizza which is entirely flavourless and smattered with cheap toppings served on a crust which is as hard as wood. It looked and tasted like one of the worst frozen pizzas you can buy from the supermarket. Really awful quality and one of the worst meals I have paid for in quite some time. Other diners in the party were similarly unimpressed with the food, particularly at the price we paid. Service was fine, although you typically order on a machine and collect the food from the kitchen yourself. The restaurant is clean and interior is pleasant to dine in. Could be good with a drastic improvement in food quality.

Ordered a pizza and drink, but the pizza never came despite the order being in the system. Suggested we order a new one.

Very loud, no service because everything is digital from ordering to paying. Food was OK. Salad very good, pasta overcooked.

It is difficult to get along with some of the employees whose pizzas are delicious, but some of them are incredibly caring. They gave us coloring pencils as a gift for our daughter.

The food was OK. We sat upstairs. Ordering via the app was a bit complicated the first time. You will only receive an invoice if you register. The service & the team were great!

One of the few Vapiano restaurants that still comes close to the quality of before. The pizzas were really good and the pop up pasta was very tasty. I found the new ordering system from the table a bit annoying, but maybe that's only the case the first time.

Last Tuesday, i.e. 04/08/25, ate at Vapiano on Potsdamer Platz. I ordered penne arrabiata and my son had a salami pizza. 1. the penne was not cooked through, partially sticky and hard 2. the arrabiata tasted neither tomatoey nor like arrabiata, it was bland and totally oily/greasy 3. My son got diarrhea the night after and I still have digestive problems with stomach pain and discomfort to this day The only bright spot here was the very nice service. What follows from this for me? Never again Vapiano. Nowhere!

As with Vapiano, the food is always rather average. The service was very good and friendly.

Good pasta, freshly made so keep this in mind as the fusili was quite dense. Linguini was superb. Very good service and a nice selection of food and drinks. We ordered from the table so everything was delivered.

Food was just ok. I had the pasta carbonara. But it needed seasoning and was rather bland. Stick with the pasta Bolognese.

The pasta was as expected from an Italian restaurant, al dente and tasty. The portion was very generous. I asked for 2 additional ingredients, chicken and garlic. I didn't see the garlic, I think it was hidden in the preparation. I had trouble finding the chicken, but there it was, although they could have been more generous with the amount of the latter. I also ordered tomato soup, but if I had ordered it today I would have skipped it, it could have been much better. The staff were all very friendly, even though the restaurant was packed because it was the day before the half marathon and everyone was looking for pasta...

Nice place to eat. You must scan a QR code at your table to order food. Drink comes very quickly. Food takes a little longer to arrive.

Being a franchise, I had really low expectations. I don't usually go to these places, but we were in a hurry, and it was the best they had. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't really like the ordering system; I'm more of a fan of having someone take your order. It seemed really cold, but the food wasn't bad at all: pasta was delicious, and the sauces were tasty and seasoned just right. Honestly, I expected the price to be worse, but everything was acceptable and the portions were substantial.

The food was delicious. Orders are placed via a machine or at the table using a QR code. We ordered using the QR code and payment was then supposed to be made by mobile phone (credit card or Google Pay), which didn't work, so we were able to pay at the checkout.

There were 4 of us here today and we had one disappointment after another. We made a group order and received 1 appetizer instead of 4. Then the four main courses came, and the other starters were only brought to the table after asking three times. When we asked for cutlery, the waitress looked at us with complete annoyance and then a basket of forks arrived...no knives, no spoons. The drinks also tasted like dish soap. Overall, the Vapiano at Potsdamer Platz is not worth another visit.

Pasta had no taste at all and was very overcooked, staff unfriendly. Wouldn’t recommend, their system is disgraceful for that price.

Tastes very good, as usual from Vapiano, but prices are very high. With children this can quickly become expensive. Goods are ordered on a touchscreen and you then take a "beeper" with you, which then sounds an alarm when you can get your food. Drinks are picked up or ordered separately at the counter with a receipt.

If you want to eat bad food (in this case pizza), at overpriced prices and in a chaotic atmosphere, we recommend vapiano at Potsdamer Platz. The previous chip cards used to order and pay for food have unfortunately been abolished and replaced by an impenetrable system of inquiries.

The three of us were with you at the beginning of March and found our food to be ok, but not great. The food was ready quickly, great. Nevertheless: The linguini with mushrooms were great, the linguini in tomato sauce was ok and the pizza didn't blow the eater away because it was relatively dark - partly burnt and too much mozzarella. I know you could have complained about it, but the hunger was just greater. The wine was very good. The employees were all very nice. The background noise was already loud. Seating comfort is completely ok. I think Vapiano in NRW is nicer, but that's just my opinion! Overall, everything was ok, so in the end it's 4 stars overall.

We actually love Vapiano, but we have rarely had such bad food as we did here in Berlin. The cabonara was dry and lukewarm. The Pinza dough was dry and hard. However, the topping was flavorful. The children's pasta was dry, cold, hardly any parmesan. Not recommended.

Unfortunately the pizza was the worst we have ever eaten! Completely dry and tasteless. The salad was so salty that it had to be returned. When asked about another dressing for the salad, I was aggressively insulted by the chef. Never again!!!

We ate at Vapiano today. The pasta was undercooked. The salad with chicken was not seasoned. The bruschetta bread was not crispy, lacked garlic, etc.

The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. The tastiest thing about today's visit was the wine. The food was just bad and unloving. Bruschetta soggy bread, tasteless tomatoes, stale rocket. Pasta Pomodori with vegetables and burrata, hardly had any vegetables, really almost nothing. Burrata was nothing, more like a piece of cream. Spaghetti with prawns and spinach in cream sauce was just creamy. Both noodles were barely seasoned. 56€ for bad, cheap food. Comparable to McDonald's. I won't do that to myself again.

Opção de acompanhar com vinho, cerveja ou chopp, e não alcoólicos também. Mesas individuais e opção de bancadas altas também. Bom custo-benefício. Fui também em um em Paris, e sempre procuro uma unidade quando em viagem pela Europa.

The meaning of va piano is to think and act slowly and create something carefully. However, contradictory to the intention, all the starch on the noodles oozes and melts. Furthermore, the noodles are cooked in the worst condition, with lumps forming on each other. The location is excellent as it is located in the center of Potsdam. Other than this, I don't see any strengths in other elements. The bathroom facilities are a bit busy...

It's definitely better than before. Delicious pasta, vending machine to order. You can definitely go out to eat.

I don't know how bad this place can be, everything was bad and this was one of the most disappointing experiences I had in Berlin! We ordered a rucola pizza and we got a diffrent taste less pizza like a frozen pizza but with fewer ingredients and more dough and the drink tasted like water!

Convenient restaurant, but clearly not incredibly good, and not a huge fan of the lack of service - and having to collect drinks from one place and food from another. Very expensive for what it really is.

On of the Best Pasta shop , I have been in Berlin . Highly recommendable .The Bread that they give with Pasta/Soup , really good, But I don’t know if we can ask for the bread pieces as it can be complimentary .

We stopped by today for a quick drink, we ordered quickly from the machine and picked it up as well. The seat by the tree was also very pleasant, unfortunately the toilets were very run down, dirty, and the fitting for washing your hands was loose. The walls could also use a fresh coat of paint.

Like every Vapiano, this is not my cup of tea as they say. Average pasta and for the price of pasta and drinks you can find better and better quality places in Berlin. The crowd at any time of the day is quite big. Very uncomfortable seating and high chairs (probably it's in their interest to eat as soon as possible, so they resorted to this catering trick).

Great vibe, the bruschetta was yummy, salads were so-so, but that carbonara? Overcooked and the sauce was bland. Barely any pecorino flavor. Heard their pinsa and pizza are good, but we missed out—they were gone. Skip it if you're after pasta.

During our visit to Berlin, we decided to stop for a quick lunch at this chain that serves pasta and pizza. We ordered some pinse margherita and a traditional salami pizza. I must admit that, in particular, the pinsas were good, while the pizza was still acceptable, a verdict that, honestly, I didn't expect. Prices are in line with the average cost of the city. Modern and nice place.

Worst pizza of all over the world

I recently visited your restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the lack of clear instructions upon entry. My group and I attempted to seat ourselves, only to be rudely told we had to wait to be seated. However, there was no signage indicating this, nor was there a host or hostess present to greet us. We are familiar with your restaurant chain and have dined at your locations in Prague and Tallinn, where the seating process was always handled smoothly and efficiently. Unfortunately, this experience was a stark contrast to our previous positive experiences at other branches. Due to the lack of clear communication, we ended up waiting at the back of the queue, wasting 20 minutes of our time. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for an establishment with your reputation. I urge you to address this issue by implementing clear signage or ensuring a staff member is present to greet guests. This simple step would prevent future confusion and frustration for your patrons.

The German VAPIANO (we tried several times) is a real disappointment. Anyone who knows VAPIANO from Switzerland will be bitterly disappointed here. Unfortunately the pizza is a disgrace. The mozzarella is “chewy” and forms a thick, fatty layer - not Italian at all. The dough is strangely tasteless. The tomato sauce too. The whole pizza is heavy and not worth the name. Anyone who knows VAPIANO in Switzerland and eats here with the expectations from there will be bitterly disappointed. The pasta is also not at all what you would hope for. There are some more vegan dishes, but since they are just as tasteless (e.g. the pumpkin soup), they are hardly worth mentioning. Unfortunately, the concept is also different, which loses a lot of its flair. We definitely won't be coming back and would advise against it for anyone who likes delicious Italian food. Ultimately, it's self-ordering and pick-up - an American fast food chain in Italian (just as unhealthy and just as outstanding in terms of cuisine).

Because everything works with your smartphone, personal things fall by the wayside. No questions asked if everything was OK etc. Very bad food! Pasta without any taste and dry. There was no pizza and my pinsa was so dry that without my drink I would have choked on it. So never again Vapiano!!! Ps: The best was the Cola👍

Spaghetti Carbonara: The spaghetti were totally overcooked and unedible - thats why I left most of the food. I couldn’t tell any waiter or waitress as there are none in Vapiono, so no return or reinbursement possible. Also, the sauce had almost no flavor because they use cheap bacon that is not even close to Pancetta or anything alike. So even on a good day, where the noodles are not overcooked, this meal would taste like nothing at all. Buy the pizza or pinsa - don‘t buy noodles here!

The worst decision – Vapiano at Potsdamer Platz Unfortunately, a visit to this Vapiano branch was a complete disappointment. The price-performance ratio here is catastrophic: incredibly expensive for a quality that can be described as poor at best. The food simply doesn't taste good! Even worse is the service – or rather, the complete lack of it. Friendliness and attentiveness seem to be foreign words here. You are ignored and left alone, which makes the entire stay extremely unpleasant. Conclusion: If you are really hungry, you should definitely look for something else. This branch is not worth the money or time. An absolutely disappointing experience!

Unfortunately, the service was an absolute disaster, and the system with the QR codes doesn't work at all. The notification that the food was ready came way too late and so the food was cold.

Nunca he comido peor pasta en mi vida. A pesar de que tengo 2 parmesanos extra, todavía tiene suficientes ganas. No quieren dar parmesano. Pero el panna cotta y el café eran muy buenos. El ambiente es agradable. El servicio al cliente es muy bueno. Sería un café mejor que un restaurante

I have been to several Vapianos for the same meal everytime, pasta aglio olio. This Vapiano had notably less spice and garlic in the dish. The food is still good, if a tad bland relatively. The service is as expected. Premises are clean. Overall still a good experience. Edit: Turning a 4 star to 5 because of their professional & kind attitude towards feedback. Thank you Vapiano

The pasta Alio e olio consisted of a large, overcooked lump, the garlic was burnt, a sprig of parsley on top. You can hardly eat worse... the only star goes to the charming, female waitress who helped me at the ordering machine!

I have already had an excellent experience at this Vapiano twice. The salad was always fresh and the portions were generous. Deserved 5 stars from me!

It's more comfortable upstairs in the restaurant than downstairs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh. There are various gluten-free pinsa, super delicious! I can highly recommend it if you have to eat a gluten-free diet.

Self-Order so not much of a service to actually judge (to be honest). The food was okay not impressive though (but again it's based on your choice of food). Altogether, the experience was positive ✌🏼

Seldom eaten so badly, the spaghetti was so overcooked that it was just a lump. McDonalds feeling for exorbitant prices. Not again so soon...

An ideal place if you want to eat quickly and well, the pasta is just right and very good. We went with our two-year-old daughter and everything was great. The truth is that the mid-day menu is well priced.

Unfortunately the “pizza” doesn’t taste good anymore. We had vegetable pinsa which had about 1 kg of mushrooms on it. The dough tasted bland and was far too thick. It was a disappointment, especially because it used to taste so good here.

To get straight to the point, the 2 stars are for the Pinsa ordered and for the efforts of the employees. For some it may be an advantage of modern times that you can order at the table using the QR CODE. But if the order page hangs up and the order isn't sent so that you have to get help from a (very nice) employee, it's a bad start. It remained unclear whether the ordering screens at the entrance could be used in this case. The pinsa (pizza) we ordered was hot and delicious, some of the pasta we ordered was cold, the warm part was also delicious. When we wanted to pay via the site, it turned out that it can ONLY be done via GooglePay or credit card. But you should inform yourself about this beforehand, after all, not everyone has a credit card. Why doesn't PayPal work? There were around 10 customers at the checkout at the time, so that wasn't an alternative. So in the end we had to pay with a credit card (since we had a short time due to the BluMenGroup). At least the SMS notification worked. For us that means: once and not again.

Unfortunately, credit card rip-offs are also used here. You have to be really careful, as it immediately shows what percentage you should give for the tip: 5, 10, 20% or more, but you can't click on one yet. Just wondering what for? You have to get your own food and drink

The food and drinks do not have to be ordered at the monitors at the entrance area, they can also be ordered at the table. Scan the QR code on the table, select/order food and drinks and pay with your mobile phone. The drinks will be served and you will receive an SMS when the food is ready to be picked up.

One "italian" restaurant with possibly the worst food in Berlin. I ordered some pasta and it was really low quality for its price tag. My visit was very chaotic with lots of screaming children. The service was good though.

Had a really tasty chicken mango salad. In the restaurant you have to order and pay using the terminal and wait at the table until the order is ready to be picked up. You will not come into contact with the staff except for pick-up. But the young woman serving the food in the kitchen was super nice and friendly.

Unclean, oily tables, puddles on the toilets, toilet paper on the floor. Sticky, hard noodles in blocks, pizzas worse than from your own frozen food and dripping with fat. In terms of taste, everything was dead. Unfriendly staff, all cutlery. Food as simple as it is cheap, extras and drinks overpriced. One star because it didn't rain in. However, it was also dry outside. A low point of the stay in Berlin. Next time I'd rather go to IKEA.

Great place to get quick pasta/Italian food/pizza. My husband and I both had spaghetti and he had a side salad with balsamic dressing. Everything was very good. You can sit and watch the multiple cooks through a glass window. You place your order at a kiosk or on their app at your table. You get a buzzer and pick up your order when it's ready. We'll be eating here again before we leave town. Don't forget to ask for bread when picking up your meal.

What a dump. It started with the host removing the dirty plates from our table and asking us to sit down WITHOUT wiping the table. The pasta was over cooked and bad. The host said they would bring our drinks to the table... They did not show up. When I asked they said we have to go pick them up at the bar. Please don't go here...

In the beginning, the place seemed to be of highest quality, beautiful atmosphere, Top-Notch decoration and a substantially good view of the kitchen. This slowly derailed as the service became of a dismal quality, we found a group of students having to serve themselves, teachers rushing around to help them. Understandably, this would affect services. However it was unclear to me how this would differ from a restaurant being fully booked considering a restaurant should still function properly to a sufficient degree despite it being at capacity. The food was of an ok quality having ordered an apple pie, the apple was hard and the pie was crumbly something i wouldnt expect. Despite this, the mood of the dinner was never ruined me and my family enjoyed our time. Thank you Vapiano

The concept is nice for a quick lunch. The price is right and the food comes super quickly. However, the “pizza” tastes very bland and boring. The cheese seems very, very cheap. Maybe the noodles would have been better.

I came to Vapiano to get a quick and good pizza and soup, and hurried back to the train station after my dinner, when I noticed that I lost my walltet. I called the line before I hurried back, and the service staff was very friendly. Nothing was robbed and even my cash was still in my wallet. This is a very rare case that sth was not stolen from me in Berlin. I am quite familiar with the Japanese and Korean honesty and politeness, but this was a great surprise to me in Berlin yesterday.

Era un sábado muy ocupado hora de almuerzo, pero son tres recordatorios antes de nuestras bebidas servidas. Como era de esperar, llegaron después de que habíamos terminado de comer. La comida estaba bien. Especialmente agria fue la camarera que, justo al final de la comida, se quejó de que habíamos movido una silla de una mesa a otra. Como éramos cinco y la única mesa disponible era para cuatro no habíamos tenido ninguna opción.

It took a little getting used to - ordering mechanism like MC Donald at the PC terminal - pickup at the counter and food distribution, but it was tasty😋 - and that's the most important thing and all the employees were very nice😃. Gladly again! PS: the front door is extremely difficult to open💪 - you might think it's closed 😉

The crema di funghi is delicious! Especially after a long travel day, and all the necessary sightseeing after arrival. It was very busy during our visit, but we were lucky. There was still one table available. Ordering and paying for food is done via a QR code on the table. It took a very long time until we received a message that our order was ready. We had to pick up the food ourselves. Drinks were delivered, but without glasses.

The vegan Fungi pizza and the salad that went with it were super delicious! 😍

Tipping is set automatically, you have to change it manually. There is no service. You order on your cell phone or at the terminal, then you get a beeper and you use it to pick up your food yourself. Everything is relatively expensive and yet tasteless.
