Good pizza, nice staff. The salad was a bit unimaginative, but everything else was fine.

Solid location and good food as usual per the vapiano standard.

Like every Vapiano, this is not my cup of tea as they say. Average pasta and for the price of pasta and drinks you can find better and better quality places in Berlin. The crowd at any time of the day is quite big. Very uncomfortable seating and high chairs (probably it's in their interest to eat as soon as possible, so they resorted to this catering trick).

Great vibe, the bruschetta was yummy, salads were so-so, but that carbonara? Overcooked and the sauce was bland. Barely any pecorino flavor. Heard their pinsa and pizza are good, but we missed out—they were gone. Skip it if you're after pasta.

During our visit to Berlin, we decided to stop for a quick lunch at this chain that serves pasta and pizza. We ordered some pinse margherita and a traditional salami pizza. I must admit that, in particular, the pinsas were good, while the pizza was still acceptable, a verdict that, honestly, I didn't expect. Prices are in line with the average cost of the city. Modern and nice place.

Worst pizza of all over the world

Because everything works with your smartphone, personal things fall by the wayside. No questions asked if everything was OK etc. Very bad food! Pasta without any taste and dry. There was no pizza and my pinsa was so dry that without my drink I would have choked on it. So never again Vapiano!!! Ps: The best was the Cola👍

I recently visited your restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the lack of clear instructions upon entry. My group and I attempted to seat ourselves, only to be rudely told we had to wait to be seated. However, there was no signage indicating this, nor was there a host or hostess present to greet us. We are familiar with your restaurant chain and have dined at your locations in Prague and Tallinn, where the seating process was always handled smoothly and efficiently. Unfortunately, this experience was a stark contrast to our previous positive experiences at other branches. Due to the lack of clear communication, we ended up waiting at the back of the queue, wasting 20 minutes of our time. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for an establishment with your reputation. I urge you to address this issue by implementing clear signage or ensuring a staff member is present to greet guests. This simple step would prevent future confusion and frustration for your patrons.

The German VAPIANO (we tried several times) is a real disappointment. Anyone who knows VAPIANO from Switzerland will be bitterly disappointed here. Unfortunately the pizza is a disgrace. The mozzarella is “chewy” and forms a thick, fatty layer - not Italian at all. The dough is strangely tasteless. The tomato sauce too. The whole pizza is heavy and not worth the name. Anyone who knows VAPIANO in Switzerland and eats here with the expectations from there will be bitterly disappointed. The pasta is also not at all what you would hope for. There are some more vegan dishes, but since they are just as tasteless (e.g. the pumpkin soup), they are hardly worth mentioning. Unfortunately, the concept is also different, which loses a lot of its flair. We definitely won't be coming back and would advise against it for anyone who likes delicious Italian food. Ultimately, it's self-ordering and pick-up - an American fast food chain in Italian (just as unhealthy and just as outstanding in terms of cuisine).

Spaghetti Carbonara: The spaghetti were totally overcooked and unedible - thats why I left most of the food. I couldn’t tell any waiter or waitress as there are none in Vapiono, so no return or reinbursement possible. Also, the sauce had almost no flavor because they use cheap bacon that is not even close to Pancetta or anything alike. So even on a good day, where the noodles are not overcooked, this meal would taste like nothing at all. Buy the pizza or pinsa - don‘t buy noodles here!

The worst decision – Vapiano at Potsdamer Platz Unfortunately, a visit to this Vapiano branch was a complete disappointment. The price-performance ratio here is catastrophic: incredibly expensive for a quality that can be described as poor at best. The food simply doesn't taste good! Even worse is the service – or rather, the complete lack of it. Friendliness and attentiveness seem to be foreign words here. You are ignored and left alone, which makes the entire stay extremely unpleasant. Conclusion: If you are really hungry, you should definitely look for something else. This branch is not worth the money or time. An absolutely disappointing experience!

Unfortunately, the service was an absolute disaster, and the system with the QR codes doesn't work at all. The notification that the food was ready came way too late and so the food was cold.

I have been to several Vapianos for the same meal everytime, pasta aglio olio. This Vapiano had notably less spice and garlic in the dish. The food is still good, if a tad bland relatively. The service is as expected. Premises are clean. Overall still a good experience. Edit: Turning a 4 star to 5 because of their professional & kind attitude towards feedback. Thank you Vapiano

The pasta Alio e olio consisted of a large, overcooked lump, the garlic was burnt, a sprig of parsley on top. You can hardly eat worse... the only star goes to the charming, female waitress who helped me at the ordering machine!

I have already had an excellent experience at this Vapiano twice. The salad was always fresh and the portions were generous. Deserved 5 stars from me!

It's more comfortable upstairs in the restaurant than downstairs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh. There are various gluten-free pinsa, super delicious! I can highly recommend it if you have to eat a gluten-free diet.

Self-Order so not much of a service to actually judge (to be honest). The food was okay not impressive though (but again it's based on your choice of food). Altogether, the experience was positive ✌🏼

Seldom eaten so badly, the spaghetti was so overcooked that it was just a lump. McDonalds feeling for exorbitant prices. Not again so soon...

An ideal place if you want to eat quickly and well, the pasta is just right and very good. We went with our two-year-old daughter and everything was great. The truth is that the mid-day menu is well priced.

You order everything digitally from your cell phone and get a message when everything is ready and then you pick up your food. It was a great evening and something new

Unfortunately the “pizza” doesn’t taste good anymore. We had vegetable pinsa which had about 1 kg of mushrooms on it. The dough tasted bland and was far too thick. It was a disappointment, especially because it used to taste so good here.

To get straight to the point, the 2 stars are for the Pinsa ordered and for the efforts of the employees. For some it may be an advantage of modern times that you can order at the table using the QR CODE. But if the order page hangs up and the order isn't sent so that you have to get help from a (very nice) employee, it's a bad start. It remained unclear whether the ordering screens at the entrance could be used in this case. The pinsa (pizza) we ordered was hot and delicious, some of the pasta we ordered was cold, the warm part was also delicious. When we wanted to pay via the site, it turned out that it can ONLY be done via GooglePay or credit card. But you should inform yourself about this beforehand, after all, not everyone has a credit card. Why doesn't PayPal work? There were around 10 customers at the checkout at the time, so that wasn't an alternative. So in the end we had to pay with a credit card (since we had a short time due to the BluMenGroup). At least the SMS notification worked. For us that means: once and not again.

Unfortunately, credit card rip-offs are also used here. You have to be really careful, as it immediately shows what percentage you should give for the tip: 5, 10, 20% or more, but you can't click on one yet. Just wondering what for? You have to get your own food and drink

Restaurant is continuing to accept walk-ins even when they're at full capacity. Very rude.

The food and drinks do not have to be ordered at the monitors at the entrance area, they can also be ordered at the table. Scan the QR code on the table, select/order food and drinks and pay with your mobile phone. The drinks will be served and you will receive an SMS when the food is ready to be picked up.

Had a really tasty chicken mango salad. In the restaurant you have to order and pay using the terminal and wait at the table until the order is ready to be picked up. You will not come into contact with the staff except for pick-up. But the young woman serving the food in the kitchen was super nice and friendly.

One "italian" restaurant with possibly the worst food in Berlin. I ordered some pasta and it was really low quality for its price tag. My visit was very chaotic with lots of screaming children. The service was good though.

Unclean, oily tables, puddles on the toilets, toilet paper on the floor. Sticky, hard noodles in blocks, pizzas worse than from your own frozen food and dripping with fat. In terms of taste, everything was dead. Unfriendly staff, all cutlery. Food as simple as it is cheap, extras and drinks overpriced. One star because it didn't rain in. However, it was also dry outside. A low point of the stay in Berlin. Next time I'd rather go to IKEA.

Great place to get quick pasta/Italian food/pizza. My husband and I both had spaghetti and he had a side salad with balsamic dressing. Everything was very good. You can sit and watch the multiple cooks through a glass window. You place your order at a kiosk or on their app at your table. You get a buzzer and pick up your order when it's ready. We'll be eating here again before we leave town. Don't forget to ask for bread when picking up your meal.

In the beginning, the place seemed to be of highest quality, beautiful atmosphere, Top-Notch decoration and a substantially good view of the kitchen. This slowly derailed as the service became of a dismal quality, we found a group of students having to serve themselves, teachers rushing around to help them. Understandably, this would affect services. However it was unclear to me how this would differ from a restaurant being fully booked considering a restaurant should still function properly to a sufficient degree despite it being at capacity. The food was of an ok quality having ordered an apple pie, the apple was hard and the pie was crumbly something i wouldnt expect. Despite this, the mood of the dinner was never ruined me and my family enjoyed our time. Thank you Vapiano

What a dump. It started with the host removing the dirty plates from our table and asking us to sit down WITHOUT wiping the table. The pasta was over cooked and bad. The host said they would bring our drinks to the table... They did not show up. When I asked they said we have to go pick them up at the bar. Please don't go here...

The concept is nice for a quick lunch. The price is right and the food comes super quickly. However, the “pizza” tastes very bland and boring. The cheese seems very, very cheap. Maybe the noodles would have been better.

We ate at Vapiano Potsdamer Platz three times in three evenings. That speaks for itself. Great cuisine

I came to Vapiano to get a quick and good pizza and soup, and hurried back to the train station after my dinner, when I noticed that I lost my walltet. I called the line before I hurried back, and the service staff was very friendly. Nothing was robbed and even my cash was still in my wallet. This is a very rare case that sth was not stolen from me in Berlin. I am quite familiar with the Japanese and Korean honesty and politeness, but this was a great surprise to me in Berlin yesterday.

It was a busy Saturday lunch time but it three reminders before our drinks were served. Unsurprisngly they arrived after we had finished eating. The food was fine. Particularly sour note was the waitress who, right at the end of the meal, complained that we had moved a chair from one table to another. As we were five and the only available table was for four we had not had any choice.

It took a little getting used to - ordering mechanism like MC Donald at the PC terminal - pickup at the counter and food distribution, but it was tasty😋 - and that's the most important thing and all the employees were very nice😃. Gladly again! PS: the front door is extremely difficult to open💪 - you might think it's closed 😉

The crema di funghi is delicious! Especially after a long travel day, and all the necessary sightseeing after arrival. It was very busy during our visit, but we were lucky. There was still one table available. Ordering and paying for food is done via a QR code on the table. It took a very long time until we received a message that our order was ready. We had to pick up the food ourselves. Drinks were delivered, but without glasses.

The vegan Fungi pizza and the salad that went with it were super delicious! 😍

Tipping is set automatically, you have to change it manually. There is no service. You order on your cell phone or at the terminal, then you get a beeper and you use it to pick up your food yourself. Everything is relatively expensive and yet tasteless.

We are here twice while in Berlin. The restaurant fills the space between a quick counter-order cafe and a formal dining room. Ot is easy to order online and the wait for food is short. I found my pasta dishes quite well done, though I would have liked a bit more when paying more for added vegetables.

After arriving on a long haul flight from Australia, tired and hungry and needing carbs before running the Berlin Marathon, my husband and I found Vapiano in Potsdamer Platz on our second night in the city. I won’t mention the terrible restaurant we ate at the first night, but VAPIANO definitely made up for it during the rest of our stay here in Berlin. Antonio Volpe greeted us like we were family, ensured we were happy with everything, and not just us but he paid attention to every customer seated in the restaurant. The food is fresh, generous, and delicious. Service is efficient and friendly. Over what would have been the busiest weekend of the year for any pasta/pizza restaurant during the marathon weekend, Antonio and his team at Vapiano did a tremendous job to keep all of us runners carb-loaded and satisfied. This is fast food without the fast-food feel. Exceptional. Danke & grazie Antonio, we are very glad to have met you. Vini & Sarah

Self-service snack bar with mediocre offerings

I expected a lot from the food and was even more disappointed 😞 Furthermore, the planning and preparation of the food is underground than the subway There was also a very nice waiter. Unfortunately, it was the only thing that was very good. (You'll have to make up your own mind about the rest, as I unfortunately did) But the ambience was good.

It's one of our favorite VAPIANOs.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Really. The bruschetta was super tasty, as was the pasta. The staff was super nice. It was a little louder, yes. But what do you expect from a “quick service restaurant”? It's not the homely Italian restaurant in the old town. In any case, all the best to the team at Potsdamer Platz, we really enjoyed it.

I don't understand why there are so many bad comments, it was a good experience for me. I think they have delicious pasta.

We ate in this restaurant because we were in a hurry and it was the first one available. The price and the atmosphere were positive, the prices are relatively low because everything is self-service - The quality is not the best but we know that eating in a chain does not you can have gourmet dishes, if you are looking for quality choose another restaurant.

Typical fast food, the salad was not bad, but the pasta dish is nothing extra. The staff is helpful and smiling, which is definitely a positive.

My recent experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered the chicken Alfredo, and to our shock, it came with a mere six tiny pieces of chicken buried in a sea of bland, flavorless pasta. For a dish that costs 20€, I expected something far more substantial and satisfying. Instead, it felt like we were paying a premium price for a plate of plain pasta with barely any effort put into it. The quality of the food did not even come close to justifying the exorbitant price. I won't be returning and would advise others to avoid this place unless they want to leave hungry and disappointed. Unfortunately no fewer than one star is possible!

Very good food. There are gluten-free options for almost all dishes. You can order your own gluten-free pizza at the counter. The dough is from Schär. Everything also available as vegan

The use of technology to speed up the service does not solve their main problem: the pinch is SHAMEFUL. Bad in everything, starting from the dough. In Italy a similar place could not open.

The food is good as in all vapianos since I am a regular user, the location is perfect since it is close to the Mall of Berlin shopping center, what I didn't like was that there are no tables on the tables like in others to recharge mobile phones , but hey this is optional and is a non-mandatory attention but the bad thing is the treatment and service of a blonde girl who is at the drinks bar, the rest of the employees are perfect and attentive, they have a large terrace

It's gotten out of hand and works like McDonald's. I used to like it better to book items on a card and then pay. You either order everything at once or have to go back to the machine. There was a young, nice woman who brought the drinks. Otherwise not necessarily recommended, not necessarily cheap either.

I have been a few times to Vapiano and it was ok, but now orders have to be given online or at a display and order needs to be picked up at the counter, basically it is a self service. Pizza was so much better in the past...

The bruschetta was quite ok. I have never eaten such bad pasta at vapiano as I did here and we have visited many vapianos where absolutely everything was delicious. Some were far too al dente. Others too sticky. Sauces, well. The lillet's were very tasty and beautifully presented. Paying via QR code didn't work because there was no Paypal and immediate transfer didn't work for me and a friend. The toilets should be cleaned more often. Staff was very nice. But we had to wait a long time for our drinks because the bartender preferred chatting with colleagues. We were almost finished eating by then.

For all Spaniards: very good service, good quality of food and good atmosphere. But wear a cardigan because the air conditioning almost made my companion look like a bird.

Stylish store, beautifully decorated. That was it already. There is hardly any service. You order at the machine or using a Qr code on your cell phone. You pick up your food at the counter when your cell phone rings. Therefore you cannot rate the service. The food was really bad. The pasta had no sauce at all. The ham had a very sour taste, was really gray and smelled really rotten. Another sauce had no seasoning and the chicken meat was inedible. Even a complaint was only averted on the grounds that everything was fresh. The four of us had on Next day all diarrhea and stomach cramps. We paid €86 for four people, each with a soft drink. Really expensive for the poor performance. Will never eat here again. It's a shame, Vapiano used to be very good

food was alright. The ordering process is the worst though. It’s like at macdonalds yet more confusing as this is technically a restaurant and not fast food place?? Very confusing and honestly the food wasn’t even worth that wierd ordering process. Had a similar experience with this restaurant in lyon, france but atleast there you didn’t order on a screen like at a fast food place.

Today I was with you for the second time in a short space of time. Today I noticed again how beautiful the woman at the entrance is. The food was wonderful too. For me it's always reef and beef. Totally crunchy and delicious.

The first thing we were asked by the woman in the kitchen was whether my friend's order, which arrived incorrectly, was okay. We then waited twice for our food and always had to go up and down. Then I noticed that I was getting noodles that were way too spicy, even though I ordered without chili. My meal was then changed to the wrong dish. When I wanted to go down briefly, my friend's food and the pizza were cleared away. My appetite disappeared and because of the red chili I didn't like anything anymore. Some employees didn't go at all! Except the manager and the waiter and waitress who offered me milk. Overall, it tastes different here than at the other Vapiano spots and most of the employees are very unfriendly. We just wasted our time waiting and running back and forth. We felt like idiots. It was my 3rd visit and my last!

We ordered pasta without chili and it was still brought with chili and when I asked if it would be changed they said no. Chefs do whatever they want and unfortunately it tastes like nothing.

That was nothing. We ordered pasta twice. The penne all'arrabbiata was missing all other ingredients in the sauce apart from the tomato. The Pasta Crema di Funghi was so watery, you might think the cream just flew past the pot. In both dishes there were no traces of the ingredients listed on the menu, such as garlic and chili. We would have been better off eating an overpriced currywurst.

Incredibly bad pasta! In the old days (the old Vapiano with queuing) the carbonara was always very good and tasteful. Now the purest catastrophe: Today I had pasta that was completely soft, had almost no sauce and everything tasted bland. There was no salt and pepper, and you couldn't taste any garlic or chili either. I left half of it and went back. To charge almost €14 for this is a disgrace. Vapiano won't see me again in the future.

Was very excited to visit here in our first day in Berlin, I ordered a gluten free pizza and my friend ordered a normal margarita pizza. We paid, and then after around 5 minutes staff came to our table and apologised but they did not have any gluten free bases left. As I had already paid, the offered to either make me a salad or use zucchini noodles. I chose the zucchini noodles and the staff member tried to push me to select the cheapest pasta sauce which meant my meal would have come out to around €5 cheaper than what I had already paid for. I asked for the carbonara sauce, which meant my meal would be around the same price, and the waitress said “Oh that’s alright, let me just check the prices match with what you bought”, which I found a little rude as it was the restaurant’s self service ordering system that allowed me to pay for food that they no longer had, however I understand that this might just be the restaurants policy and not a fault of the waitress. Our food came, and my zucchini pasta was quite nice (although not a pizza which was what I wanted), however my friends pizza appeared to have been reheated oven pizza, and was very hard and dry, and the cheese hardened within a few minutes of collecting. Neither of us were very impressed, and wouldn’t return, and found it to be very overpriced for what it’s worth.

I am not at all enthusiastic about this concept of gastronomy. Too complicated: first queuing to buy a card, then queuing again to get rid of the order, waiting, waiting, waiting... and then queuing again to get rid of your money. And in between always running through half the house to get in line.... 👎
