Vapiano in Berlin

The food and drinks do not have to be ordered at the monitors at the entrance area, they can also be ordered at the table. Scan the QR code on the table, select/order food and drinks and pay with your mobile phone. The drinks will be served and you will receive an SMS when the food is ready to be picked up.

Had a really tasty chicken mango salad. In the restaurant you have to order and pay using the terminal and wait at the table until the order is ready to be picked up. You will not come into contact with the staff except for pick-up. But the young woman serving the food in the kitchen was super nice and friendly.

One "italian" restaurant with possibly the worst food in Berlin. I ordered some pasta and it was really low quality for its price tag. My visit was very chaotic with lots of screaming children. The service was good though.

Unclean, oily tables, puddles on the toilets, toilet paper on the floor. Sticky, hard noodles in blocks, pizzas worse than from your own frozen food and dripping with fat. In terms of taste, everything was dead. Unfriendly staff, all cutlery. Food as simple as it is cheap, extras and drinks overpriced. One star because it didn't rain in. However, it was also dry outside. A low point of the stay in Berlin. Next time I'd rather go to IKEA.

The noodles were overcooked and didn't taste like anything. So far the worst Vapiano I've visited. Unfortunately it's not worth it!

Great place to get quick pasta/Italian food/pizza. My husband and I both had spaghetti and he had a side salad with balsamic dressing. Everything was very good. You can sit and watch the multiple cooks through a glass window. You place your order at a kiosk or on their app at your table. You get a buzzer and pick up your order when it's ready. We'll be eating here again before we leave town. Don't forget to ask for bread when picking up your meal.

In the beginning, the place seemed to be of highest quality, beautiful atmosphere, Top-Notch decoration and a substantially good view of the kitchen. This slowly derailed as the service became of a dismal quality, we found a group of students having to serve themselves, teachers rushing around to help them. Understandably, this would affect services. However it was unclear to me how this would differ from a restaurant being fully booked considering a restaurant should still function properly to a sufficient degree despite it being at capacity. The food was of an ok quality having ordered an apple pie, the apple was hard and the pie was crumbly something i wouldnt expect. Despite this, the mood of the dinner was never ruined me and my family enjoyed our time. Thank you Vapiano

What a dump. It started with the host removing the dirty plates from our table and asking us to sit down WITHOUT wiping the table. The pasta was over cooked and bad. The host said they would bring our drinks to the table... They did not show up. When I asked they said we have to go pick them up at the bar. Please don't go here...

Food was super tasty. I visit Vapiano regularly and am always very satisfied

The concept is nice for a quick lunch. The price is right and the food comes super quickly. However, the “pizza” tastes very bland and boring. The cheese seems very, very cheap. Maybe the noodles would have been better.

Good pasta options, self-service to order dishes, in a modern, clean and pleasant environment. The dish we ordered, pasta with chicken and mushrooms, was exceptionally delicious. Clean bathrooms. The cashier was not very friendly, with a bad attitude. Easy access by metro, via Potsdamer Platz

We ate at Vapiano Potsdamer Platz three times in three evenings. That speaks for itself. Great cuisine

I came to Vapiano to get a quick and good pizza and soup, and hurried back to the train station after my dinner, when I noticed that I lost my walltet. I called the line before I hurried back, and the service staff was very friendly. Nothing was robbed and even my cash was still in my wallet. This is a very rare case that sth was not stolen from me in Berlin. I am quite familiar with the Japanese and Korean honesty and politeness, but this was a great surprise to me in Berlin yesterday.

It was a busy Saturday lunch time but it three reminders before our drinks were served. Unsurprisngly they arrived after we had finished eating. The food was fine. Particularly sour note was the waitress who, right at the end of the meal, complained that we had moved a chair from one table to another. As we were five and the only available table was for four we had not had any choice.

The crema di funghi is delicious! Especially after a long travel day, and all the necessary sightseeing after arrival. It was very busy during our visit, but we were lucky. There was still one table available. Ordering and paying for food is done via a QR code on the table. It took a very long time until we received a message that our order was ready. We had to pick up the food ourselves. Drinks were delivered, but without glasses.

It took a little getting used to - ordering mechanism like MC Donald at the PC terminal - pickup at the counter and food distribution, but it was tasty😋 - and that's the most important thing and all the employees were very nice😃. Gladly again! PS: the front door is extremely difficult to open💪 - you might think it's closed 😉

The dishes were poorly prepared, we waited too long

Tipping is set automatically, you have to change it manually. There is no service. You order on your cell phone or at the terminal, then you get a beeper and you use it to pick up your food yourself. Everything is relatively expensive and yet tasteless.

We are here twice while in Berlin. The restaurant fills the space between a quick counter-order cafe and a formal dining room. Ot is easy to order online and the wait for food is short. I found my pasta dishes quite well done, though I would have liked a bit more when paying more for added vegetables.

After arriving on a long haul flight from Australia, tired and hungry and needing carbs before running the Berlin Marathon, my husband and I found Vapiano in Potsdamer Platz on our second night in the city. I won’t mention the terrible restaurant we ate at the first night, but VAPIANO definitely made up for it during the rest of our stay here in Berlin. Antonio Volpe greeted us like we were family, ensured we were happy with everything, and not just us but he paid attention to every customer seated in the restaurant. The food is fresh, generous, and delicious. Service is efficient and friendly. Over what would have been the busiest weekend of the year for any pasta/pizza restaurant during the marathon weekend, Antonio and his team at Vapiano did a tremendous job to keep all of us runners carb-loaded and satisfied. Self-service snack bar with mediocre offerings

It's one of our favorite VAPIANOs.

I expected a lot from the food and was even more disappointed 😞 Furthermore, the planning and preparation of the food is underground than the subway There was also a very nice waiter. Unfortunately, it was the only thing that was very good. (You'll have to make up your own mind about the rest, as I unfortunately did) But the ambience was good.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Really. The bruschetta was super tasty, as was the pasta. The staff was super nice. It was a little louder, yes. But what do you expect from a “quick service restaurant”? It's not the homely Italian restaurant in the old town. In any case, all the best to the team at Potsdamer Platz, we really enjoyed it.

I don't understand why there are so many bad comments, it was a good experience for me. I think they have delicious pasta.

Great location, good food, and nice service. It’s one of the best Vapiano branches in Berlin. It’s quite okay for a quick bite when you’re in Potsdamerplatz.

We ate in this restaurant because we were in a hurry and it was the first one available. The price and the atmosphere were positive, the prices are relatively low because everything is self-service - The quality is not the best but we know that eating in a chain does not you can have gourmet dishes, if you are looking for quality choose another restaurant.

Typical fast food, the salad was not bad, but the pasta dish is nothing extra. The staff is helpful and smiling, which is definitely a positive.

My recent experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered the chicken Alfredo, and to our shock, it came with a mere six tiny pieces of chicken buried in a sea of bland, flavorless pasta. For a dish that costs 20€, I expected something far more substantial and satisfying. Instead, it felt like we were paying a premium price for a plate of plain pasta with barely any effort put into it. The quality of the food did not even come close to justifying the exorbitant price. I won't be returning and would advise others to avoid this place unless they want to leave hungry and disappointed. Unfortunately no fewer than one star is possible!

Very good food. There are gluten-free options for almost all dishes. You can order your own gluten-free pizza at the counter. The dough is from Schär. Everything also available as vegan

Finding so little love for a pizza, expensive and cold is a no-go for me. Sorry, otherwise top service, very nice everyone. :)

The use of technology to speed up the service does not solve their main problem: the pinch is SHAMEFUL. Bad in everything, starting from the dough. In Italy a similar place could not open.

Despite good food, I thought there was little attention from the service. Atmosphere could also be better.

Way too expensive for portions that are a little too small

The food is good as in all vapianos since I am a regular user, the location is perfect since it is close to the Mall of Berlin shopping center, what I didn't like was that there are no tables on the tables like in others to recharge mobile phones , but hey this is optional and is a non-mandatory attention but the bad thing is the treatment and service of a blonde girl who is at the drinks bar, the rest of the employees are perfect and attentive, they have a large terrace

It's gotten out of hand and works like McDonald's. I used to like it better to book items on a card and then pay. You either order everything at once or have to go back to the machine. There was a young, nice woman who brought the drinks. Otherwise not necessarily recommended, not necessarily cheap either.

I have been a few times to Vapiano and it was ok, but now orders have to be given online or at a display and order needs to be picked up at the counter, basically it is a self service. Pizza was so much better in the past...

For all Spaniards: very good service, good quality of food and good atmosphere. But wear a cardigan because the air conditioning almost made my companion look like a bird.

The bruschetta was quite ok. I have never eaten such bad pasta at vapiano as I did here and we have visited many vapianos where absolutely everything was delicious. Some were far too al dente. Others too sticky. Sauces, well. The lillet's were very tasty and beautifully presented. Paying via QR code didn't work because there was no Paypal and immediate transfer didn't work for me and a friend. The toilets should be cleaned more often. Staff was very nice. But we had to wait a long time for our drinks because the bartender preferred chatting with colleagues. We were almost finished eating by then.

Found it very loud. Portions quite small. Taste okay.

The pasta was dry, the sauce sparse and the pizza tough

Stylish store, beautifully decorated. That was it already. There is hardly any service. You order at the machine or using a Qr code on your cell phone. You pick up your food at the counter when your cell phone rings. Therefore you cannot rate the service. The food was really bad. The pasta had no sauce at all. The ham had a very sour taste, was really gray and smelled really rotten. Another sauce had no seasoning and the chicken meat was inedible. Even a complaint was only averted on the grounds that everything was fresh. The four of us had on Next day all diarrhea and stomach cramps. We paid €86 for four people, each with a soft drink. Really expensive for the poor performance. Will never eat here again. It's a shame, Vapiano used to be very good

food was alright. The ordering process is the worst though. It’s like at macdonalds yet more confusing as this is technically a restaurant and not fast food place?? Very confusing and honestly the food wasn’t even worth that wierd ordering process. Had a similar experience with this restaurant in lyon, france but atleast there you didn’t order on a screen like at a fast food place.

Today I was with you for the second time in a short space of time. Today I noticed again how beautiful the woman at the entrance is. The food was wonderful too. For me it's always reef and beef. Totally crunchy and delicious.

Took longer than expected and was more expensive than expected.

We ordered pasta without chili and it was still brought with chili and when I asked if it would be changed they said no. Chefs do whatever they want and unfortunately it tastes like nothing.

The first thing we were asked by the woman in the kitchen was whether my friend's order, which arrived incorrectly, was okay. We then waited twice for our food and always had to go up and down. Then I noticed that I was getting noodles that were way too spicy, even though I ordered without chili. My meal was then changed to the wrong dish. When I wanted to go down briefly, my friend's food and the pizza were cleared away. My appetite disappeared and because of the red chili I didn't like anything anymore. Some employees didn't go at all! Except the manager and the waiter and waitress who offered me milk. Overall, it tastes different here than at the other Vapiano spots and most of the employees are very unfriendly. We just wasted our time waiting and running back and forth. We felt like idiots. It was my 3rd visit and my last!

Not worth it, very expensive for the quality of the food.

That was nothing. We ordered pasta twice. The penne all'arrabbiata was missing all other ingredients in the sauce apart from the tomato. The Pasta Crema di Funghi was so watery, you might think the cream just flew past the pot. In both dishes there were no traces of the ingredients listed on the menu, such as garlic and chili. We would have been better off eating an overpriced currywurst.

Delicious food. Order at the table on an app rather than wait for a kiosk. Although I miss ordering and waiting like you used to.

Was very excited to visit here in our first day in Berlin, I ordered a gluten free pizza and my friend ordered a normal margarita pizza. We paid, and then after around 5 minutes staff came to our table and apologised but they did not have any gluten free bases left. As I had already paid, the offered to either make me a salad or use zucchini noodles. I chose the zucchini noodles and the staff member tried to push me to select the cheapest pasta sauce which meant my meal would have come out to around €5 cheaper than what I had already paid for. I asked for the carbonara sauce, which meant my meal would be around the same price, and the waitress said “Oh that’s alright, let me just check the prices match with what you bought”, which I found a little rude as it was the restaurant’s self service ordering system that allowed me to pay for food that they no longer had, however I understand that this might just be the restaurants policy and not a fault of the waitress. Our food came, and my zucchini pasta was quite nice (although not a pizza which was what I wanted), however my friends pizza appeared to have been reheated oven pizza, and was very hard and dry, and the cheese hardened within a few minutes of collecting. Neither of us were very impressed, and wouldn’t return, and found it to be very overpriced for what it’s worth.

Incredibly bad pasta! In the old days (the old Vapiano with queuing) the carbonara was always very good and tasteful. Now the purest catastrophe: Today I had pasta that was completely soft, had almost no sauce and everything tasted bland. There was no salt and pepper, and you couldn't taste any garlic or chili either. I left half of it and went back. To charge almost €14 for this is a disgrace. Vapiano won't see me again in the future.

I am not at all enthusiastic about this concept of gastronomy. Too complicated: first queuing to buy a card, then queuing again to get rid of the order, waiting, waiting, waiting... and then queuing again to get rid of your money. And in between always running through half the house to get in line.... 👎

I have been to Vapiano several times in Germany and other European countries, but I have never been as disappointed as with this Vapiano. I placed my order via the table QR and it was quick and easy. But the food was terrible, I ordered a small tomato soup, bolognese and pasta with vegetables and zoodles. Bolognese and zoodles had hardly any taste and smelled spoiled. 30 minutes after eating, I and my companion had to vomit. The food not only smelled spoiled, it was also spoiled!

We were in Berlin this June. Vapiano was within walking distance of our hotel. The service was very good and the staff helpful. We had pasta and pizza, both vegetarian. They were hot and delicious. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Orders are made using a totem located at the entrance. When selecting the dish, there is the possibility of opting for the dish with little pepper, which is what we did. However, 2 of our 3 dishes were very spicy, so it was not possible to eat everything. The flavor was good, but the pepper was too strong. When ordering two coffees and a dessert, the service was a little slow.

Magnificent place, delicious dishes with effective and fast service

Vapiano - once upon a time, this is just a good name that is used here. The new owners have “revised” the concept Salad was good, dressing from the bottle, too much vinegar, not like before, shrimp for 80 cents a piece and parmesan, more like hard cheese, everything was counted out. The bread alone was delicious as usual. Service? What kind of service? I order at the terminal like the yellow M and get a plastic piece that reminds me to pick up my food. The credit card machine also wants tips and doesn't accept AmEx? Underground!! The staff is not uniformly dressed and walks around listlessly. Maybe you should look for a new name here, nothing reminds you of Vapiano anymore - except the prices

No one came to the table for 40 minutes. It turned out that it is necessary to order via the Internet or in the middle. And then bring your order to the table. Maybe it is still necessary to take away and wash the dishes? I did not find out. Service!

We ordered a pasta with basilico pesto, the portion was good in size, but the pasta (linguine) was very dry, it had no flavor since the pesto was very little. We had to put olive oil on it to improve it somewhat, but it was bad. The atmosphere is good, the service is good and the bathrooms are clean, the only thing. we will not return

So total disappointment, I've been to Vapiano so often before and everything was delicious, service was super nice. Now: like at McDonald's, you have to place the order on the portal and pick it up yourself. No more pizzas 😕🥲 only Pinsa... in the picture and text prosciutto... but it's just cooked ham. Of course we didn't read the content, we just relied on the picture... Unsalted and really not tasty, pasta Bolognese... hardly any meat, carbonara hardly any sauce... the service without hello and goodbye. It feels like a fast food joint and nothing more than a restaurant... for the price?! We spent over €100... unfortunately there is NEVER more Vapiano for us

Pinsa was moderate. Tried 3 salt shakers on 3 tables and none worked. System is too complicated. Won't go there anymore.

Das Konzept ist gut, die Umsetzung miserabel. Ein Schnellrestaurant mit App und Automat für die Bestellung, also wenig Personal. Aber teurer als beim Italiener (auch in Berlin) . Ich hatte Spaghetti Aglio Olio mit extra Knoblauch und Parmesan. Knoblauch war aber wenig, außerdem teilweise verbrannt. Käse auch nur ein Hauch. Geschmack durchschnittlich.

I don't know if this vapiano is representative of everyone in Berlin and the surrounding area, but compared to Cologne vapianos it sucks... I'm sorry but the only good thing is that it's only 10 minutes away from the MCS😐

The employees weren't particularly happy when we arrived on site with 9 people. The allocation of space was therefore a big disappointment for us. In the middle of our table there was a 1m high artificial tree, whose trunk prevented us from seeing our friends and whose leaves ended up decorating our meal as a rather unpleasant decoration. The ordering process was extremely complicated and two of us waited so long for our food, believing that we had completed the order, until the others were already full and in the mood to leave. Drinks were also quickly forgotten. Young people who want to have a beer after work are met with shaking heads at this restaurant. Beer, wine, Hugo is only 18 and over, although the staff didn't agree on this either. In many places there were reports of extra toppings that had neither been ordered nor received. If you ultimately manage to get a dish despite all the inconveniences, it is usually solid and often even worth the price.

This is no longer the old Vapiano with the excellent pizza. Instead there is a kind of pizza substitute: small, overpriced and probably a frozen product, at least that's what it tasted like. Fast food is ordered at a terminal that wasn't working properly. A helpful, nice employee then helped without being asked. But you mainly go there for the food and we probably won't do that anymore.

There are 7 chefs on site and they still mix up the spicy and non-spicy orders. An overall mediocre service. A tip is also expected if you place your own order at the machine and pick it up at the counter…

Many of them are too loud, far too cold and drafty (air conditioning at North Pole level), tables are sticky, kitchen staff sometimes have dirty disposable gloves... Sorry, but I won't come back

What a tourist trap. Drinks were served at the table but you had to pick up your own food on a tray. However they didn’t bother giving us napkins, salt & pepper or enough cutlery. Ceasar salat was fine, pasta was rubbery. Pasta rater had tasted many bad pasta dishes in her life but this is maybe a top 3.

Vapiano is known for its quick operation. You get a card and then order and get your food very quickly. That's been my experience so far. In this restaurant there were only two appointments and a very difficult ordering via a web application. Since there was a queue at the terminal, we decided to order something using a barcode. As an IT-savvy person, I had my difficulties. It is not clear that the packed lunch comes with a drink, so I ordered a drink separately. No problem. This included drink was delivered and I canceled, then the entire lunch was canceled. Your employees were very patient. The managers always have to bear the burden of management decisions. Take an example from McDonald's. You don't have to have an IT degree beforehand to place an order. I have finished

This Vapiano has few cooks/cooking spaces compared to the seating. You wait 20 to 30 minutes for your food and the prices are not really cheap. Some of the stores are already bankrupt. The concept just doesn't work and the only reason I keep experiencing it is because of my child, who really wants to go here. It used to be great in the Vapiano, others Locations have solved this better. I won't be visiting this one again.

Clean, modern, fast, easy, and delish!

In a dehumanized environment where there is no room for the dialogue needed to solve technology problems, we ordered fusilli cacio e pepe. The fusilli were German pasta soaked in pepper and poor cheese. Mineral water costs more than any drink, absurd! Zalone would detach the Italian writing and after the Va he would not write slowly (which here refers to the speed of preparation) but something else more appropriate that rhymes with mule.

It used to be cheap and good and now it’s expensive and bad. It took 60 minutes to get a pasta dish.

Bad, very poorly organized waiting time until the 1 hour order was mixed up and not complete so Vapiano used to be better, a currywurst would have been tastier

Disastrous ordering system. Constantly crashes. You cannot pay via Google Play/Paypal. I had to explain to the waiter several times what I had ordered (6 drinks, 3 of which were the same) and he still got it wrong several times. Then I was also allowed to pick up the drinks myself. A pity.

I was eating with two friends, plus I ordered an Alfredo pasta, everything was delicious and accompanied by a wine.

We were in Berlin for 3 days and we came here for lunch 2 days in a row. It was great, we tried the children's menu - pasta and pizza in the shape of a cat, I ate pasta with chicken and mushrooms, which was delicious. Ordering from the tables was quick and easy.

Unclear ordering system. We sat in the garden for several minutes because there was no information that there was no waiter service. After placing the order at the machine, no one could tell me whether the button would also ring for drinks. When I got to the bar, the bartender poured half a mug of beer and said that the keg had run out and could he give me a warm beer, to which I agreed and he poured Sprite?! The food is also not impressive. In the salad with mango and chicken, there were 5 small pieces of chicken, but the pinsa was so hard that it could not be cut.

Pinsa Margherita was very tasty, I can even say it was the best pizza I ate in Berlin. The pasta Bolognese was very bad, it was really sticky and doughy, I didn't like it that much.
