Food was good, but we had to eat downstairs with the stroller because there was no elevator and it was very cold, everything else seemed comfortable. And you can also wait in line for a long time to eat.

It is a very nice and cozy place in the center of the city. You can take a break from the crowd without stress and the food is also very delicious.

We ate spaghetti twice with feta, pesta and parmesan. The food was all munch and baaz. It tasted the same too. The noodles were way too soft. The service was impersonal and not attentive when clearing up. The windows were dirty, the ambience used to be nice. Unfortunately, no one asked us whether it was tasty or whether we were satisfied, and we have been disgusted by the food at Vapiano ever since. Your shop has no idea of ​​enthusiasm. Food like this doesn't fit in downtown Munich. 3 guests next to us left their food (pasta dishes) almost untouched.

Eat at your own risk. Echoing another comment, my husband and I dined here and the pasta was hard (but not al-dente) clumpy and floury. The same evening and the very next day, both of us got sick, started vomiting. We are sure it is caused by the food here, as we had no other meals in between.

I've been to many Vapiono branches. But there was little variety here. Pizza was very bad. It was small and thick. The worst caesar salad dressing I've ever had was here.

Vapiano in Munich delivers what you’d expect from a fast-food restaurant. The overall experience is okay, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the pizzas—they’re overcooked and end up dry and unappealing. The service is average, nothing remarkable but nothing problematic either. A practical option if you’re looking for something quick, but don’t expect much more.

The choice of food becomes less and less towards the evening, especially when it comes to soups, and the pizzas don't taste good or are far too floury and have a far too large edge (no fluffy edge). What bothered me the most was that you don't have an overview of what is being booked on the card you get at the beginning. I ended up paying more for the wrong pizza and a drink. After I complained, it was rudely pointed out that I should have said this earlier, but that's not possible because at the end you hand over the card and only get the bill after you've paid, or you only know what you paid for after you've paid. I wouldn't recommend a visit because of the unnecessary payment system and the unfriendly staff.

October 2023 I had never tried any VAPIANO before but I really enjoyed the experience, there is a good variety of dishes, we chose a table, decided what we wanted to eat and went to the counter to order, a funny concept, after a while the food was served, good portions and great flavor . The space is quite pleasant. I will certainly return to a VAPIANO when the opportunity arises

The first time we ate in Vapiano, the service was friendly and we ate pizza. Unfortunately, the departure took an unfortunate turn when the cashier asked us to show the chip card when we went out, which was partly understandable after reading the house rules, but instead of politely explaining the rules regarding chip cards, we were unnecessarily humiliated; my relative had to do this before get back the chip card that an employee from the food distribution withheld. We never have to put up with the humiliation again, otherwise the Italian restaurants would be much better compared to Vapiano! We never imagined our dinners in Vapiano like this! This happened on December 15th, 2024 at around 9:05 p.m.!

If you get there before 12 p.m., you can quickly place your order, it will be kindly brought to the table and you can enjoy your lunch. In any case, my César salad was very tasty.

Really bad food! Spaghetti is such a simple dish and I don't understand how you can mess up spaghetti! Who cooks at Vapiano? I was there 15 years ago and it was always delicious! I am satisfied with the service. Coffee and the Italian cookies were good, but only that!

The employee at the checkout was very unfriendly. He couldn't offer good service and spoke rudely.

Sorry, but that's not possible and is disgusting and unhygienic. Isn't there something like training in handling food here? You're almost tempted to call the health department. Quality of the food is absolutely below average, pasta as always unfortunately very dry because they don't use enough liquid for the sauces, and the pasta then quickly absorbs the liquid, and then when you want to eat the paste, which by the way is far from normal dente, then the noodles will tear very quickly. Actually you have something like a dumpling of pasta on your plate that sticks together. Conclusion: I hope a really good restaurant will come here at some point, preferably something like Italian fast food, but Vapiano is really the very last thing

Although it’s a good place, the service and waiting time for food at this place is terrible . Staff are not very accommodating as well . Massively disappointed . Worst branch of Vapiano I’ve been so far. I don’t recommend this to anyone .

My pizza came lukewarm, the sauce was a perfectly simple canned tomato sauce. The mushrooms on my pizza were raw and simply placed on top of the cheese, the only good thing about the pizza was the arugula.

The same staff member who takes orders also prepares drinks, leaving customers waiting behind them for too long. 3. During peak hours, even though tables may be empty, they’re often not cleaned. You have to repeatedly ask the staff to clean them. This review comes after visiting the place at least five times. 4. The food quality is medium to above average.

Today I got penne with hair. Two pennies had their hair wrapped around each other, so that when one was lifted, the other hung on the other like a rope. Disgusting! Someone claiming to be the boss came up to me with the plate I had just sent back, held up the fork with one pasta still hanging on it and the other pasta hanging by its hair, and said it wasn't theirs would be because no one with long hair would work there. I also had to pay the court because I just didn't feel like making a fuss. NEVER AGAIN!

A Vapiano like others. Food tastes okay here. I generally find the concept rather mediocre. With the buzzer in your hand, you pick up your order when it beeps. The pizza here is impressive. Otherwise everything is more so-so.

Unfortunately, our visit was a mixed bag. The food was solid, but the taste was rather mediocre - the dishes such as pasta and pizza were freshly prepared, but lacked spice and sophistication 😐. We expected more for the price. The atmosphere was particularly unpleasant towards the end of our visit. Since we arrived shortly before closing time, the ambient light was suddenly removed from the table 💡, which suddenly made the corner dark. In addition, the chairs were already put up near us 🪑, which made us feel quite unwelcome. It seemed like they were trying to subtly tell us that it was time to leave, even though the restaurant was still open. This behavior left us feeling like we were being complimented, so we left the restaurant earlier than planned 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️. In summary, the VAPIANO Munich on Theatiner Straße is an attractively designed restaurant with a fresh Italian menu 🍽️, but the food was mediocre and the premature "cleaning up" seemed rude and significantly affected our experience. It may be suitable for a quick meal, but if you value a relaxed evening in a pleasant atmosphere, you may be disappointed 😕.

Usually the food is good. The problem in some Vapianos is that the service is bad in the case of this one especially miserable. It's the Vapiano on Theatiner Straße in Munich. The guy at the entrance is rude, they treat you as if you were bothering them, I've been there twice and the third time I wanted to ask for the bathroom for my little son and he rudely replied no, it's covered. Yes of course! And what do the hundreds of customers who eat there do? It doesn't have a single bathroom! He just didn't feel like it. This is one of the recurring problems in many parts in Germany, rude service.

Food was okay, unfortunately the linguine was very stuck together and was more of a big lump than individual noodles. From an Austrian perspective: it is completely different. You don't order from the chef but from an ordering station. You are given a number which is placed at the table and the food is then brought to the table

Absolutely disappointing! We went to Vapiano and had a miserable experience. As soon as we arrived, the table was a mess - all of the dishes and trash from the previous guests were still there, and it took forever until someone felt responsible for them. Incredibly unprofessional! But that was just the beginning. We waited over an HOUR for our food and when it finally came it was a disaster! The food wasn't completely warm and had no taste at all - how could you even dare to serve something like that? An absolute failure, I can only advise anyone not to dare to visit here. I have rarely experienced such bad service. Never again!

Never again! This was the most terrible pizza in a long time! We were guests in Munich and thought let's go in there... Mistake! I already regretted my decision after the appetizer! The bruschetta was ice cold, tasteless and already soggy from the juice of the tomatoes.... The cook or the waitress probably went on a sightseeing tour with my food!? Then came the main course, my first thought was that it could only get better - mistake! The pizza (Diavola) was a taste fiasco of the highest order! The dough was rubbery, the sauce only tasted like ready-made sauce, the salami/pepperoni sausage was "tasteful" from Primark! I won't worry about the pasta (Penne Arrabita) as it would take too long... Dear Vapiano team, you didn't make a customer or family happy or full! This is definitely better!!!

Got a margarita pinsa. For like 9.80€ it is just fine. More like bread with sauce and cheese than actual dough. Good thing is that at least we were brought the pizzas from the staff itself. Would not revisit. Much better pizza and Italia places in Munich

I have been in NRW for a long time and have not been to Vapiano during my entire stay. When I still lived in Munich, I was at the Bogenhausen location and they were very polite there. I was pretty disappointed when I ate here with my family the day before yesterday. I asked the waitress whether it would cost anything extra if I left out an ingredient and could get compensation for it and her answer was "no" when I went to the checkout and they charged me €7.90. When I asked for the lady who served me, she was on break but then the manager was there and said he had asked her and the lady had explicitly told me the opposite 😒 In the end it was just a matter of not being honest and are simply disrespectful to your customers. The ambience is nice but that's it.

One of the last Vapiano restaurants near the Alps is in the center of Munich. The short waiting times and the friendly staff, who keep an overview even in stressful situations, are positive. However, the lack of accessibility in the restaurant is negative. There is no barrier-free toilet. The restaurant area on the upper floor is also not accessible by elevator. Unfortunately, the cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired. You notice the high guest throughput. Otherwise, this Vapiano offers the typical menu of a Vapiano restaurant. The ingredients make a good impression, unfortunately the noodles are not cooked long enough. Al dente is not always the same as al dente ;)

The restaurant is large, 2 floors, very clean, there are tables for larger groups of 10 people at the table, including chairs for babies, the food is delicious and the service is very good.

Review for Vapiano Munich: I recently dined at Vapiano Fünf Höfe Munich, and it was a terrible experience. I ordered the Pasta Carbonara, and what I received was a disaster—completely crushed and clumped together, making it impossible to enjoy. My wife had the Pasta Alfredo, which was overcooked and sticky, clearly lacking in any proper preparation. To make matters worse, both my wife and I suffered from stomach issues for several days after eating there. We had high expectations as we had good experiences in all Vapianos in Vienna before, but the quality of the food was awful, and the consequences made it much worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent or safe meal. Extremely disappointed!

We ordered pizzas together in a group of friends. My pizza was undercooked so I returned it and the service was correct. However, when it happened two more times at a friend's house, we knew that bad pizzas were no exception. Cheese didn't taste good and generally not a nice experience. But greetings go out to the correct chef

We tried their beef N beef with fusili and vegetarian risotto and we loved both. Hearty food with good portion sizes and a very nice to sit down environment on Sunday evening. We try و piano when we see on in any city in Europe. Their risotto never fails to impress especially when they make it with tomato sause.

Leider kann ich mich den größtenteils schlechten Bewertungen nur anschließen. Wir waren am Wochenende dort und waren sehr enttäuscht. Es hat nichts mehr mit dem Vapiano von früher zu tun. Am Eingang wurden uns ohne ein Wort zu sagen die 2 Akten hingelegt. Der Mitarbeiter war gerade beim Kassieren. Das ist ja grundsätzlich kein Problem, da können wir warten. Aber so war die "Begrüßung" schon nicht schön. Am Order Point angekommen dann die nächste Enttäuschung. Es gibt keine Pizza mehr, nur noch Pinsa. Naja gut. Wir haben bestellt. 2 Ceasar Salat mit extra Hähnchen, eine Pinsa und 2 Getränke. Am Ende 34€.... Hingegen anderer Besucher musst wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten, wir waren aber auch außerhalb Stoßzeiten vor Ort. Dann aber leider die nächste Enttäuschung. Im Salat waren 5 kleine Stückchen Hähnchen. Dafür haben wir 4,80€ Aufpreis bezahlt. Meine Pinsa war leider auch nicht gut. Der Boden sehr trocken, der Rand mit einem Messer nicht zu schneiden. Deswegen bekommt man eine Schere mit serviert. Auch sehr merkwürdig. Und auf jede Pinsa kommt Basilikumöl oben drauf. Das war mir mit dem Belag zusammen einfach zu fettig. Wie wir dann festgestellt haben, sind die Pinsa Rohlinge alle TK Ware. Wir hatten einen Platz von dem aus wir in die Küche Richtung Pinsa Station schauen konnten. Hinten werden die TK Rohlinge aufs Band gelegt, mit den Toppings belegt und das wars. Dann fährt die "frische" Pinsa durch den Ofen und kommt nach ein paar Minuten hinten wieder raus. Mit frischer Küche hat das nichts mehr zu tun. Leider war auch unser Tisch dreckig und mit Flecken. Und als ich zum Ende unserer Besuchs noch auf die Toilette bin, kam der krönende Abschluss: in allen 3 Kabinen war das Toilettenpapier leer. FAZIT: Vapiano ist für uns gestorben. Geschmacklich stark nachgelassen, dafür die Preise nach oben geschraubt und von Service und Hygiene sprechen wir mal nicht.

Das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Ich war lange Zeit nicht mehr bei Vapiano und fand es einerseits angenehm, dass das Essen jetzt an den Tisch gebracht wird, andererseits wurde ich aber bei meinen Spaghetti Pomodoro dafür nicht mehr gefragt, ob ich Knoblauch mit rein möchte, was ich sehr schade finde. Ich musste am Tisch ca. 20 Minuten auf die Nudeln warten, das fand ich etwas zu lang. Geschmacklich war es in Ordnung, hatte es aber früher irgendwie besser in Erinnerung, vielleicht lag es aber auch nur am fehlenden Knoblauch. Preis-Leistung gerade noch ok.

Es ist ein schönes Ambiente und auf den ersten Eindruck sieht es hier auch sehr schön aus. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr nett. Jedoch wurde uns erstmal dreckiges Besteck gebracht, was mal passieren kann, aber das Essen war sehr enttäuschend. Wir waren das erste mal in Vapiano und deshalb war die Erwartung sehr hoch. Aber die Nudeln hatten eine sehr komische Konsistenz, als wären sie zu lange im Wasser gewesen. Essen war nicht frisch, erkennt man daran dass die Nudeln nicht, wie gewohnt, mit heißem Rauch, gekommen sind sondern nach 5 Minuten schon kalt und fast ungenießbar waren. Würde nicht mehr herkommen.

Nur die Hostess am Eingang = excellent. Essen: dringend neue Rezepte, die Speisen sind unglaublich unitalienisch, eine Katastrophe.

Tolle Location direkt im Herzen von München in den 5Höfen. Das Essen ist sehr gut und der Service sehr freundlich.
