VAPIANO in Stuttgart

The concept of the Vapiano company is extremely bad, not being served, picking up your own food and then paying 18€ for a Pinsa I think is too much, with an extra sheet I pay 14€ for the same fun and it tastes the same if not better

I thought the carbonara was very good. It wasn't a classic carbonara but more of a cheese and cream sauce, but it was still good. In my opinion the price is a bit too high for the portion.

The ambience of the restaurant is modern and attractively designed, but the ordering process leaves a lot to be desired. Ordering on the screen is cumbersome and involves long waiting times. You also have to pick up the food yourself, which significantly reduces the convenience. The portions are very small and are disproportionate to the high prices. Overall, unfortunately, a disappointing experience that I cannot recommend.

The washroom was very dirty, the reception staff could not be understood and the order was lengthy. They expect a tip, but everyone does the service themselves. It used to work better

Luckily there are still a few Vapiano restaurants, the new concept is a game changer and I hope things will look up again. It's a shame that in the background of such concepts there are always only profits, holdings and yacht drivers. Food very tasty, as usual.

I searched for a nice place to grab lunch where I could sit outside. This place was amazing. I did not know how to use the pager system but the staff showed me. I enjoyed the process and the food was amazing. Quality and quantity were perfect.

The two of us came by on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were able to choose a table straight away, there were still many available. Ordering the food and drinks was easy. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. Everything tasted very good, although the portions could have been a little larger. At the end we drank Italian Gin and Tonic, which I can highly recommend. It was a lovely evening and we would stop by again at any time.

We were warmly welcomed and shown everything. Thanks to the lunch menu we were able to eat relatively cheaply (€12 for a drink and main course). I also ordered a tomato cream soup as a starter. This was pretty tasty, as was the house iced tea Mango-Lime. On the other hand, I found the noodles with mushroom cream sauce just okay. The pinsa that my companion ate and that I was allowed to try tasted quite good, but it wasn't anything special. The service was still very friendly and the ambience was pretty nice too.

So the food was delicious as always. Thanks to the team and to colleagues momo and Jimmy.

Totally disappointed. Tomato soup was at room temperature, garlic cut into 3mm wide slices, pasta stuck together and cold.

The quality of the food is low in comparison to Italian restaurants. I had the spaghetti pomodoro, the pasta is made fresh in house but either it wasn't cooked enough or the dough is not that great, the pasta was very sticky and tasted raw. I know Vapiano from its early days. In comparison it feels like the quality of food and service has gone down markedly.

Horrible service. The restaurant kinda of empty and I had to wait to min to take my pasta . And the people arrived after me ate before me . I just asked to go the food .

I'm still giving it 3 stars because the food has always been very tasty. However, the already very limited service yesterday was really below average. When we arrived and wanted to order at the bar with our cards as communicated (everything at the self-service machines was busy at the time), three different employees ran back and forth at the bar and out and in again for 15 minutes. All three saw us and consciously looked at us several times (we looked back with expectant looks). After waiting for over 15 minutes in the hope that someone would take an order, we left. There was really little going on, the employees didn't really have anything to do at that moment and at least one of them could have briefly acted as if he was even remotely interested in the fact that customers who had been waiting for a long time were standing in front of him.

I remembered both the lovely gentleman at reception (Momo) and the cook (Gimmi) from my last visit as being incredibly friendly. The food is of consistently good quality and you can easily book any special requests yourself thanks to the ordering system. But both Momo and Gimmi are also very helpful here. I always like to come back!

Food is ok. Service is basically self-service, but the prices are a bit high, but still reasonable. One star because of the drinks: I want to drink with dinner and 4.20 for a 0.33 cola is just bottomless. I won't pay that. So unfortunately not again. Thanks for the reply. Yes, the inflation of the last few years has been tough, charging 6.27 times the purchase price (current Metro price) justifies it in my opinion. not. Watch your audience. Families sit there and the four of them share water. I suspect they won't come back either. Maybe you'll think about it.

Understanding and comprehending the Vapiano is complicated. A pasta restaurant. Too short. A self-service pasta restaurant. Yes, roughly.

The food wasn't worth the price. It's ok to pay extra for Zoodels, but unfortunately you won't get enough of it for a dish that costs €17.00. I would expect that, otherwise it should be sold as a starter. An extra portion of zoodels (to accommodate the amount of noodles) is another €4. Would I be willing to pay? But not for pesto pasta with a few cherry tomatoes, rocket and pine nuts €21? This is a top use of goods

The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Our food was ready quickly and tasted very good. We'd love to come back :-)

I understand the general price increases but then the taste and quality of the food should also be appropriate. The noodles were way too hard and tasted pretty basic. By redesigning the concept, orders now take longer than before. The “old Vapiano” was significantly better. Service and cleanliness were still good.

I just can't get used to the concept. You have to queue three times, once at reception, then again at the monitor and then again at the bar to get dessert. And to pay you can go straight to the front instead of having to pay directly at the terminal. Unfortunately, the prices for pasta are too high for me. You do everything yourself, only to be asked for a tip at the end at the EC machine

It's not like it used to be. Pinsa bread is so hard to eat. Better to eat somewhere else than Vapiano. Definitely don't recommend it. Check before paying because you automatically get a tip of 5 euros even though you order everything yourself using the ordering machine and serve it yourself.

Was here for the first time and Momo explained how self-service works. The food is prepared quickly and smells great. Ambience ok, the chairs are too high for eating, but otherwise completely fine. Everyone very friendly! I ordered a gluten-free pinsa, it was really sensational! I will definitely order again!

Ok food, at least the pastas. The service is not bad, but also not amazing. But the way they operate it’s ridiculous. To order you need to go to one counter and ask for a card. After you place your order on the self-service machine (I saw only one!) and this takes a crazy amount of time. You also have the possibility to go to another counter and order there. Not much more efficient. There is 1 person taking the orders and most of the customer take a lot of time to pick the food. Then if you want to eat outside you go back to the first counter to pay and finally to another counter to grab your drink and wait to pick up your food on another counter 😫 I saw people giving up and going away. Fully understand why. Do not recommend, will not come back.

It's a good choice to eat well and not spend tooo much at Schlossplatz. There is only 3 electronic boards where you can order interactively (like in McDonalds) and they are often occupied. What can I say? It is OK. In Budapest Vapiano is definitely better 😄

Surprisingly nice food and service! Very welcoming staff. For a low budget chain restaurant (you order by yourself at the bar or a machine and get a buzzer to collect your food when ready at the counter) the food quality was very good and the price more than fair. Nice outdoor seating

I had ordered the penne arrabbiata. Could have been better. The pasta was chewy and lacked flavours. The service was okay and can be improved.

Whether as a couple or with the children, we always found something 😄. The quality of the salads and the taste in general have not disappointed us so far.

Hello, Please trust your guests before providing them food. otherwise if no trust to client who seats outside in the terrass, better you close the terrasino and keep only the guests inside. because as we all know the guest should eat first and pay after, but when you oblige people (only who are seatings outside)to pay the bill before eating. is very bad feelings. the one who s name KARIM is so unfriendly. and need to study guestronomy again. Overpriced and totally underwhelming pinsa that is hard like wood. In women’s toilets there is no cold water so you can drink only drinks you buy (overpriced). Considering the food is mediocre and it is self service, the price shouldn’t be higher than Mcdonalds. I wouldn’t recommend.

Busy during the European Championship, but the service, cleanliness and food was just fine - off course the mood was on top!

We order tuna salad and it was perfect, but unfortunately the pizza was a bit dry.

My son and we had a delicious meal again. Gluten-free for him is available at Vapiano. Unfortunately, no more Gutenfrei pasta dishes. Self-service and dishes put away yourself.

Very friendly and courteous staff at all times. Regardless of whether it is a chef or service, you can rely on us to help you and/or provide you with competent information. The food and drinks were always of absolutely fantastic quality, even after our seventh visit. The drinks prices are sometimes a bit excessive, but you also have to consider where the restaurant is located and how many good staff work there. We are always happy to be guests and would like to thank the super nice staff once again.

A new marketing trick with Pinsa instead of pizza! The only thing similar to pizza is the price! The size is max 2/3 of a pizza and the dough is hard - a disgrace. Sorry - once and never again!
