VAPIANO in Stuttgart

I have to say, I really love eating at Vapiano, but today I was disappointed 😢 The pasta wasn't cooked; it was cold and just plain bad. The location is nice and very pleasant. It just took 20 minutes and tasted bad. For €20, I would have expected a hot meal. I'm disappointed. I'll avoid Vapiano next time I'm in Stuttgart.

*GLASS IN FOOD* Were there a few weeks ago. We had: 1x pasta, 1x pinsa, 2x side salad, 2x drinks The price: €53.70 Unfortunately, the food was all ready at different times, which was a shame because we wanted to eat together and the pasta was already cold. But the worst comes now: There was a SHARD OF GLASS in the salad that was about the size of a fingernail. Unfortunately I cut the roof of my mouth with it, but luckily I didn't swallow it. When I went to the waiter with a bleeding mouth to complain, he took the shard and quickly made it "disappear" and made sure that no other guests noticed. He did apologize, but not in the way one should actually do in such a situation, but rather just kept saying it couldn't be right. We don't actually have a glass in the kitchen, but apparently we do when it was in my salad. When I asked, I was given a little water to rinse out my bleeding mouth. I obviously got the salad new. In addition, the waiter gave me €5 from the cash register because it couldn't be deducted from the bill since we had already paid. Unfortunately, I found the five euros a bit ridiculous, as the salad alone, which was contaminated with broken pieces, cost €7.95. So I was allowed to pay €2.95 for having a sore in my mouth.

Self-service restaurant. The concept is reminiscent of large fast food chains. There are two terminals for self-ordering. The food was reasonably priced and otherwise okay.

I was at Vapiano today and was really pleasantly surprised! Since it's Ramadan, they made sure that I got a date to break my fast - a small but very appreciative gesture that really made me happy. The atmosphere and service were also great! I would especially like to highlight Momo, who was super friendly and helpful. I dropped my bruschetta and without hesitation he immediately cleaned it up and even brought me a new one - without me even having to ask! That's what I call professional and customer-friendly service. Many thanks to the entire team and especially to Momo – I'll definitely be back!

✅ The preparation and taste of the cappuccino was really very good, that's unfortunately the only thing I could praise and oh of course the location is in the middle of the city. ⛔ The portions are tiny and the taste has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The pasta was sticky and overcooked and the pinsa was dust dry unfortunately. ⛔ Unfortunately, in my opinion, the prices are far too high. ⛔ The seating is also very uncomfortable, so you can eat quickly and get out, that's what stools feel like ⛔ My recommendation is definitely not, you could visit many other restaurants for these prices

Was there with my daughter and grandchildren (8, 6). We thought the kids menu was really good. The wishes were taken into account - some people hardly like cheese at all on their pizza, others like it a lot. Everything worked out great. We adults also enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

I had a meal there with my girlfriend, she had a 2 for 1 voucher as a student. The noodles were very tasty but the portion was a bit too small. The service is poor because you order the food at a terminal and then have to pick it up yourself.

We visited the Vapiano in the evening. As soon as we arrived we noticed that none of the lamps on the tables had batteries. After we pointed this out to service, all we were given was another empty lamp. The pasta and pinsa we ordered came to the table cold, which made the price/performance ratio completely unreasonable. When paying we were asked if everything was OK. When we said no, we only got the answer: “Everything can't always be good. See you next time."

Well, I usually avoid Vapiano in general because, as an Italian, this pseudo-Italia flair really annoys me, "Vapianisti" (that's not a word, but to describe how slow the employees are on the screens, the neologism could be used already serve) “ridi ama vivi” (wrong conjugation, just stick with ridere, vivere, amare), how can you exchange classic pizza for a micro version called “Pinsa”. ? I was eating with a friend. Since we wanted to pay separately, we had two cards given to us. Unfortunately, the self-order screens were occupied by a queue of people, so I went to the drinks bar and luckily I was able to order everything there Both orders were placed, first with one card and then with the other card. When the second order was placed, the first pager had already beeped, it was pasta. The second order was Pinsa Sticks with 3 dips and a small tomato soup. I don't know if this is ordered so rarely that you have to cook it from scratch, but I had to wait a long time and my friend also wanted to wait until we both had our food had. Unfortunately, the Pinsa Sticks are way too salty, the dips also have salt in them, so a drink for just under €5 will be empty very quickly because you'll get thirsty (is that a scam?) I then tried my friend's pasta and don't know why it reminds me of Play-Doo dough, but the consistency is neither chewy nor soft... but rather sticky? In the end I was still happy about my little soup. So now to the service: I have been working in the catering industry for several years and I know when it is appropriate to tip and when not. I understand that if my service is bad, a tip cannot be expected. If everything was good to excellent, I'm happy about 10%! When you pay with your card at Vapiano, a window is immediately displayed on the EC device where you can select the tip amount (you can certainly look away as an option, but that is almost invisible, at least not at first Wait) I don't even remember whether I gave 10 or 20%. The only service you see and receive as a guest is that the table is cleared of the previous guests' dishes. I think it's a shame, the people who work there could certainly do more than just operate screens, but the system doesn't allow that, contact with the guest from the host is simply interrupted. Otherwise, they always try to give explanations if you don't understand something, that's something. All in all, Vapiano is a pseudo fast food Italian, with not very good food. I came from Koblenz, we also had a Vapiano there (old system where you could still watch the chefs and it was very clear where to order something) but it was closed, I think I now understand why. I hope this isn't the future of gastronomy, sorry for the last one!

I really thought slower than the old concept as you used to know from the Vapiano restaurants is no longer possible, but I was taught better. Now you have to order at one of only two (!) displays, which react very slowly and where extremely long queues form at peak times, and can then pick up the food, already prepared, a short time later. The drinks also have to be picked up separately and are no longer served with the food, as was the case before. Furthermore, the prices for self-service are simply outrageous, e.g. 6 euros for an iced tea. If it weren't for the beautiful ambience and if the dishes didn't taste delicious despite everything, I would only give it a single star. Nothing about the concept has really improved here, quite the opposite. And the only fun fact that you can watch the chef is now gone. Too bad!

Two ordering terminals and you have to pick up the food and drinks yourself from different locations. Complete chaos. And then you pay €90 for three dishes and drinks.

Very uncomfortable, very expensive, noodles are very al dente, seating is very cramped.

The drink prices are way too expensive. A small bottle of cola €4.40! Food prices are ok.

An absolutely great experience at Vapiano! Our host Momo was fantastic a very friendly and attentive young man who served us excellently. The atmosphere was simply wonderful thanks to the live music and made the evening perfect. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was first class. We'll definitely be back! Great ambience and delicious pasta

The pasta should have been cooked longer to be aldente, the crema had to be looked for, fungi were there. Although we brought it straight away, my partner and I's food was only lukewarm. Cappuccino also lukewarm. Wouldn't recommend it

I'm sorry, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit. The pasta was very al dente and the pesto was very spicy. The gentleman at the checkout, who had little linguistic talent, wasn't really interested. I find tipping “necessity” for self-service inappropriate

Understanding and comprehending the Vapiano is complicated. A pasta restaurant. Too short. A self-service pasta restaurant. Yes, roughly. What is the benefit for the customer?

I haven't ordered yet but with such a crappy ordering system you'd be better off going to a fast food place or a normal Italian restaurant

Unfortunately, last night my pasta wasn't al dente and my husband's chili was missing. Despite everything, the service staff was, as always, very friendly.

Acceptable place, with a very nice space, correct ordering system, but with rather mediocre food.

The food tasted really good and was fresh. The portion was sufficient. Unfortunately a bit too expensive (15-17€ for pasta) because you have to do everything yourself. You have almost no contact with the staff and you pick up your food yourself like in a canteen. I definitely missed the service. The service cannot therefore be rated because it was actually not available (the order monitor works). When I go out to eat, I want to be served. You have to decide at the counter before the main course whether you want a dessert afterwards, otherwise you have to walk back to the order counter with your card after your meal. This discourages the guest from ordering something again. The location was very modern. However, the tables were so close that the person sitting next to me hit me with her jacket while I was putting it on. You can definitely have a delicious meal to go, but next time I would go to a restaurant with service.

It's extremely rare that I leave spaghetti alone.

We had a fantastic experience at Vapiano Stuttgart! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. We were especially pleased to find that they offer halal options for both meat and chicken, which made the experience even better for us. We tried the chicken pinsa and the pinsa with sucuk, and both were absolutely delicious. The toppings were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced on their signature light and crispy pinsa dough. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick despite the restaurant being busy. Overall, if you’re looking for a place in Stuttgart with halal options and a great menu variety, Vapiano is definitely worth a visit!

I find it far too impersonal there and don't like placing orders at the vending machine.

Gimmi and alessandro are super friendly

1. Only one machine to order from. 2. noodles stuck to each other and were not fresh 3. You order with cheese but you always have to point out that you want cheese because otherwise it will be “forgotten”. 4. didn't get enough change back and was then treated stupidly. I will not enter this store again.

Momo is not only likeable in his work as a waiter, but also great as a last-minute photographer for pictures with his best friend. :)

Super great visit to Vapiano! Great service, got the food quickly and was super tasty! The furnishings are also really nice! I had a gluten free and vegan pinsa! Best gluten-free dough I had in Stuttgart when it comes to pizza/pinsa!

Very attentive service/boss? The usual Mediterranean ambience with olive trees in the restaurant. But the pinsa was not at all what I expect from an Italian pinsa. The tomato sauce tasted like it had been untreated straight from the Pelati can and the dough was also too thick. Whether the cheese was mozzarella... Not sure.

It really wasn't tasty! The pasta was overcooked in three dishes and we were all hit with an upset stomach afterwards. I can't recommend it. - The side salad was delicious

Rarely seen such friendly staff. We're already "used to" a few Vapianos from Austria, but here in Stuttgart it was simply unique. My children got drinks on the house and because a dish was mistakenly ordered twice, we promptly got them on the house. All I can say is chapeau, you rarely see something like that in the catering industry these days.

My son is very picky, but he ate everything to the bottom. My pizza wasn't bad either. The check is not small. Therefore, instead of 35, it turned out to be 43. Instead of juice, they brought lemonade. The presentation is beautiful, the portions are large.

The concept of the Vapiano company is extremely bad, not being served, picking up your own food and then paying 18€ for a Pinsa I think is too much, with an extra sheet I pay 14€ for the same fun and it tastes the same if not better

I thought the carbonara was very good. It wasn't a classic carbonara but more of a cheese and cream sauce, but it was still good. In my opinion the price is a bit too high for the portion.

The ambience of the restaurant is modern and attractively designed, but the ordering process leaves a lot to be desired. Ordering on the screen is cumbersome and involves long waiting times. You also have to pick up the food yourself, which significantly reduces the convenience. The portions are very small and are disproportionate to the high prices. Overall, unfortunately, a disappointing experience that I cannot recommend.

I searched for a nice place to grab lunch where I could sit outside. This place was amazing. I did not know how to use the pager system but the staff showed me. I enjoyed the process and the food was amazing. Quality and quantity were perfect.

The two of us came by on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were able to choose a table straight away, there were still many available. Ordering the food and drinks was easy. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. Everything tasted very good, although the portions could have been a little larger. At the end we drank Italian Gin and Tonic, which I can highly recommend. It was a lovely evening and we would stop by again at any time.

We were warmly welcomed and shown everything. Thanks to the lunch menu we were able to eat relatively cheaply (€12 for a drink and main course). I also ordered a tomato cream soup as a starter. This was pretty tasty, as was the house iced tea Mango-Lime. On the other hand, I found the noodles with mushroom cream sauce just okay. The pinsa that my companion ate and that I was allowed to try tasted quite good, but it wasn't anything special. The service was still very friendly and the ambience was pretty nice too.

Totally disappointed. Tomato soup was at room temperature, garlic cut into 3mm wide slices, pasta stuck together and cold.

The quality of the food is low in comparison to Italian restaurants. I had the spaghetti pomodoro, the pasta is made fresh in house but either it wasn't cooked enough or the dough is not that great, the pasta was very sticky and tasted raw. I know Vapiano from its early days. In comparison it feels like the quality of food and service has gone down markedly.

Horrible service. The restaurant kinda of empty and I had to wait to min to take my pasta . And the people arrived after me ate before me . I just asked to go the food .

I remembered both the lovely gentleman at reception (Momo) and the cook (Gimmi) from my last visit as being incredibly friendly. The food is of consistently good quality and you can easily book any special requests yourself thanks to the ordering system. But both Momo and Gimmi are also very helpful here. I always like to come back!

I'm still giving it 3 stars because the food has always been very tasty. However, the already very limited service yesterday was really below average. When we arrived and wanted to order at the bar with our cards as communicated (everything at the self-service machines was busy at the time), three different employees ran back and forth at the bar and out and in again for 15 minutes. All three saw us and consciously looked at us several times (we looked back with expectant looks). After waiting for over 15 minutes in the hope that someone would take an order, we left. There was really little going on, the employees didn't really have anything to do at that moment and at least one of them could have briefly acted as if he was even remotely interested in the fact that customers who had been waiting for a long time were standing in front of him.

Food is ok. Service is basically self-service, but the prices are a bit high, but still reasonable. One star because of the drinks: I want to drink with dinner and 4.20 for a 0.33 cola is just bottomless. I won't pay that. So unfortunately not again. Thanks for the reply. Yes, the inflation of the last few years has been tough, charging 6.27 times the purchase price (current Metro price) justifies it in my opinion. not. Watch your audience. Families sit there and the four of them share water. I suspect they won't come back either. Maybe you'll think about it.
