Very nice atmosphere, easy to reach by public transport as it is at the train station. Free parking nearby. The food is very good, the staff attentive and friendly. Apart from the high prices there is nothing to complain about. I can recommend it.

Very good sirloin steak – absolutely recommended! I was one of the first to try the sirloin steak today and I am absolutely thrilled! The special thing is that you fry the steak yourself on a hot stone, which is a great experience and the steak can be perfectly tailored to your own taste. There were also crispy fries, herb butter and a pesto-like dip that went wonderfully with it. The steak itself was of excellent quality and super tender – simply delicious! The price-performance ratio was also absolutely fair. I am very satisfied and can only warmly recommend it to every steak lover.

Great location and had a great evening! Six of us spontaneously came by on a Tuesday evening and got a place straight away. The waitress Mirela is super attentive and extremely friendly. She made our evening even better. I would have liked to see service like this more often. Food was also great. Would love to come back.

Worst Mauritius we have ever been to! My partner and I have been going to Mauritius for years at various locations. Went to Zuffenhausen for the first time and was shocked at how different and unfortunately bad it was there compared to the others. The cocktails were just extremely sweet and therefore hardly drinkable. The food was miserable. They both had the Swabian schnitzel with cheese spaetzle. The cheese spaetzle simply didn’t taste like anything! These were some kind of spaetzle in cream. Not more! Even completely without onions! And where was the cheese??? The cream sauce tasted like it came out of a bag... only the schnitzel was edible. Really a shame! If only we had known this before...

Bad service, the cocktails are watered down and tasteless... everything comes from a machine that no one can/is allowed to use or adjust... No one here has any idea about mixing cocktails, let alone heard of it. The simplest basics fall on deaf ears, ignorance, reluctance and indifference. Complaints, returns, etc. cannot be compensated for by admissions of incompetence and inability to act. Despite all this and full glasses, you are required to pay the full price. As compensation, you are offered a maximum of another watered-down crap, with temperatures close to your body's own, which more than just makes a mockery of the term "cocktail" with its existence. You're being taken for a ride here. Absolutely not recommended.

Absolutely loved this place. The vibe, interior, and atmosphere were all superb. The food is of amazing quality and reasonable value for money. A few cocktails are also offered alkoholfrei and the restaurant has a wide variety of accommodations. I recommend having cash with you as sometimes the card POS does not work due to network.

Friendly staff, nice, cozy and quiet facility in the lively part of Zuffenhausen. I only had something to drink, so I can't comment on the quality of the food.

I ordered to pick up and am extremely disappointed: Salad Grandissimo for a whopping €18 had exactly 1.5 sliced ​​cherry tomatoes and 2 cucumber slices. Otherwise green leaves and corn. There were no Emmental cheese cubes, no pepperoni, no olives. The schnitzel on top was only half of the portion that is served in Mauritius Fellbach. I also got 4 thin strips of oregano bread, which were probably from yesterday because they were so hard to bite into. Not a good restaurant.

A huge win for an otherwise dreary Zuffen. Ever since it opened, we have found it very nice in this South Seas oasis above the subway station. But somehow it gets even better every time: this Friday evening, service 1 minute, order +2 minutes, drinks +2 minutes, food +6 minutes (and delicious!), and when our daughter's dessert took a little longer, we got it she gave it to him. What's going on there? :-)

Das Essen war leider mehr als schlecht um nicht zu sagen ungeniessbar. Wir hatten die Mauritiusbox mit Pommes und Hähnchenspießen. Die Kartoffeln waren ok, das Fleisch war zum Teil schwarz verkohlt. Wir konnten das nicht essen. Bei unserer Beschwerde wurde nur von der Bedienung gesagt, ich gebe es an die Küche weiter. Wir mussten den vollen Preis bezahlen und es gab nicht mal eine Entschuldigung. Also in dieser Lokation lieber auf Essen verzichten!

Super tasty cocktails at great prices

Disappointing experience with the cocktails We recently ordered two cocktails and a pinsa at the restaurant in Mauritius. According to the menu, the cocktails were supposed to contain rum and marshmallows, but unfortunately we were served the drinks without these ingredients. When we inquired, we were told that these ingredients were not available. There was no apology and we were still charged full price. The quality of the Pinsa was okay, but the poor communication and service surrounding the cocktails significantly spoiled the overall impression. We hope this will be handled better next time.

Current rating: Went to Mauritius Zuffenhausen again yesterday (08/12/24) and had several takeaway meals. Just 2 stars. First of all, "staff": I greeted the lady behind the counter when I came in and said goodbye when I left - she didn't even open her mouth. For me: clearly wrong casting. But I understand that the restaurant has to accept almost every applicant because there are too few staff - therefore no deduction of stars - just a note! Food: one of the salads contained almost only hard iceberg lettuce - it was nothing and wasn't even half eaten. The lunch turkey schnitzel with spaetzle: once again dried spaetzle, tasteless. Salt in cooking water is probably still unknown. The same with the “cream sauce” or rather “water with milk product and color” - because it didn’t taste like anything and was once again extremely thin. Improvement: 0 The cream sauce was really horrible with the unsalted spaetzle really hard to eat. I've never had sauces as bad as here! -------------------------------------------------- -------- Old review "8 months ago": Unfortunately nothing more. We often ordered lunch and picked it up. The portions became smaller and smaller and the last time was the last time: a “cream sauce” for the schnitzel that was more like a dish broth. Thin, completely watery and absolutely no taste. The spaetzle also had no taste (forgot salt when cooking?). So that's it for now.

The Mauritius is still quite new at the Zuffenhausen location. The location is good, very centrally located, right next to the Rathaus subway station. Food and drinks are very tasty. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Addendum: On the next visit the service was better and at least the pencils were sharpened. The price remains expensive and the taste is still so-so. With good will it will be 3 stars instead of 2. Original review: The food went like this (pasta sauce was completely tasteless, cheese spaetzle too) and a Grandissimo salad for €18 and €10 for 1 liter of water are now disproportionately expensive. The rest is just as expensive in terms of price. If you come at 12pm, you still have to wait 20 minutes for the kitchen and there is ice cream! in winter! Not yet, colored pencils for children are a great idea, but they cannot be used without sharpening. Rooms are freezing cold, so even summer photos don't help with the cold. The ambience is nice at first glance, but at second glance you can see the wear and tear. So the Mauri is absolutely no longer a recommendation. A pity!!!

I would first talk about the guy who served me and was very patient with the language barrier. I speak very little Deutsch but the gentleman who spoke no English was very helpful and nice . As for the food, I tried the Italian classic pasta , dry aged cheeseburger, calamari box, san Sebastian with caramel sauce. I would say I was satisfied with the taste and presentation of the food. The place is big and the outside seating was pleasant and not crowded . I would definitely come back.

I like the restaurant, we have eaten there several times and celebrated two birthdays and have always been treated well. The food is delicious and fresh, it looks very modern, the waiters/maids are great, only the toilet is a bit, really just takes some getting used to. But feel free to stop by and eat something yourself, in the heart of Zuffenhausen.

Service TOP! FOOD FLOP! Unfortunately, immediately after eating it I had to deal with stomach pain! It was definitely some microwave stuff that was served to me. The fact that the food was served to me within 3-4 minutes cannot be said to be a freshly prepared dish.

UPDATE 04/2024 I have to say that Mauritius has degraded extremely. The prices are too high for what you get. The salads are very boring and taste average. Consists mainly of lettuce only. €16.90 for that is pretty cheeky. The tables outside are dirty, you have to ask for them to be cleaned. The seat cushions are dirty and full of stains. Overall it makes a dingy impression. —/ Typical Mauri menu. However, I have the feeling that the quality of the food has decreased. It would also be nice if the area outside were somehow demarcated, e.g. through plant pots or similar. You also almost sit on each other's laps outside because the tables are very narrow. Everything looks great inside.

I have to eat gluten-free and unfortunately the digital allergen card is incorrect. According to the list, the spaetzle does not contain gluten, and the waitress was unable to provide any information upon request. The meat and vegetables tasted very burnt (this was the case with 3 people at the table). But we were offered that new chicken breast fillets would be made. Not recommended for people with celiac disease.

First visit: Everything was perfect. Will come again. Now regulars. Great restaurant and very nice staff and guests. Also for older people. Greetings to the waitress from Malmö and a temporary worker who is almost completely tattooed. Only VfB Stuttgart is still missing.

Drinks totally careless with no decoration (I know differently from other branches). If you want to order something, you sometimes have to follow the ladies. We also had to take care of the salt and pepper ourselves. It's really a shame. But we will avoid Zuffenhausen from now on. Addendum: Of course, the waitress who served us at the beginning later asked us if everything was OK. I was honest with her and she brought us desserts on the house. Hello, every time I come to Zuffenhausen from the North Sea, twice a year, I go to Mauritius. So far I've been happy because I like the atmosphere. The food never blew you away, but it was okay. But yesterday... I was there with my granddaughter, we were both so disappointed because she also liked the schnitzels well. The sauce was totally watery and tasteless.
