This restaurant = a total failure! There was only 1 "stripped down" menu - German dishes available. There were only a few dishes to choose from - so you can't really be successful as a restauranteur and it has nothing to do with real skill. I can even manage schnitzel variations + currywurst. Fries were hard + inedible. Instead of the shandy I ordered, I got a cola. After I politely complained about this (I had definitely ordered 1 shandy), the waitress came back with a grumpy face and the shandy was carelessly slammed onto my table, so that the glass almost broke + without any apology! We also had to wait forever to pay. And at the end the waitress became really cheeky and insulting because she also expected a tip for such miserable service, which of course didn't come for the reasons mentioned. Zero service + zero friendliness, not rewarded! The icing on the cake was that even the landlord/cook gave us rude comments. This restaurant would first have to learn what it means to deal with guests in a professional and friendly manner. The VERY LAST! The waitress/service worker should be fired straight away, his behavior was anti-social - he insulted him several times! She doesn't speak German properly either, which is unfortunate, lol! One can only hope that this restaurant will be completely staffed with NEW staff - so it's a NoGo! The manners that prevail here are “lowest level” and you don’t need them on vacation and generally not in everyday life! The primitive statement from the owner, written in extremely bad German, says it all - he simply didn't understand the basic requirements of running a restaurant.

We were there as guests 4 times a week, absolutely excellent hospitality, the service and everything around it simply couldn't be topped. Unfortunately you can only give 5 stars.

Very tasty currywurst with homemade sauce, which you immediately saw and tasted. Super friendly service. Great!!! Highly recommended. If we vacation here again, we will 100% come back. Thank you very much for this culinary delight!!!

The store won't ever open again The service was so unfriendly that I have never experienced it before. The waitress brought me the wrong drink and when I pointed it out to her, I got the right drink and it was slammed on the table in such a way that the glass almost broke when I wanted to pay I was ignored for a long time and the waitress made me wait for a long time. As a thank you when I went out I was insulted in the worst possible way I can't recommend this location more This restaurant is a total NO GO In my opinion, the employees chose the wrong profession As a paying guest, I would like to be treated kindly and the restaurateur should be happy when I come and not be seen as a guest who wants to do what he wants and does his job I can only congratulate the owner on the great employees. Personally, I would fire all employees immediately and hire new, motivated employees or not open the business at all

First of all: The location is very central and invites you to make a spontaneous visit. Unfortunately, we were quickly disappointed. It took a long time until we even got the menu. The service person then informed us that only German cuisine was available, but not Italian dishes. This meant that it felt like 70% of the menu was missing from the selection. Since we didn't like the other dishes, we just wanted to order drinks. We could tell from the service staff's reaction that this was not desired. We then voluntarily vacated the place and decided on another restaurant. We cannot rate the food accordingly; the rating refers purely to the service and the organization of the processes.

A little pricey for takeaway food, but it was delicious!

We were thrilled by the friendly and friendly service... here the boss serves herself ;-) The food was great, the portions were more than sufficient, the schnitzels were freshly prepared and served quickly. We'd love to come back!!!

Excellent restaurant with the best location in Kellenhusen. Despite the heat and the high volume of customers, the staff was always extremely friendly and attentive. The most important thing: both the food in the restaurant and the food at the "street sales" (the schnitzel rolls are legendary!!!) are excellent and the portions and the price/performance ratio are absolutely right. Clear recommendation and always worth a (repeated) visit! :)

Considering it's practically right on the beach, the prices are reasonable. We took 3x fish sandwiches or kibbeling "to go". What was immediately noticeable the first time and the reason for subsequent visits was that they don't skimp on fish there. The smoked salmon really overflows. Taste is also great. If we visit Kellenhusen again, we will definitely get something there again.

I was there for the first time. The boss's service was magical. With a lot of heart in the right place. The pizza was amazing. One of the best pizzas I've eaten. The prices are absolutely real, NOT a tourist rip-off. You can't make a reservation, you have to get there early to get a spot, the place was full at 6 p.m. But whatever, we'll go again next year. IN ANY!!!

The schnitzel was fresh, not frozen. Spaghetti very soft with Bolognese, which tasted too much like pureed tomatoes for my taste. The whole meal was also very poorly seasoned. Still got full. Lambrusco was very tasty and the service was also great! Prices moderate.

We ate there on June 5th, 2024, the beer was nice and cold, unfortunately the spaghetti Bolognese and the salmon noodles were nothing special in terms of taste, with the Bolognese sauce you should take an example from the promenade buffet, unfortunately there was a smell due to the out-of-house sales of burnt fat into the covered anteroom

Ha ha ha, the reviews are great to read, especially your answers. We felt very comfortable and the food was also very good. Of the three restaurants, this was the only one where the service was perhaps a bit more direct, but came across as honest. We'd be happy to come back when we're in the area :-)

Rarely have I experienced such unfriendly staff! The ladies and gentlemen have to look for a job where other people don't have to deal with their whims. I work in service myself and the way you are treated here is IMPOSSIBLE. -00000 out of 5 stars.

Luckily when we visited the restaurant it wasn't crowded. The service was very friendly. We had a ham mushroom pizza and a Quattro Stagione. The pizzas were very tasty, the dough was thin and fluffy at the same time. Unfortunately, the Quattro Stagioni was very sparingly topped, there were only 4 strips of pepper on the pizza and the mushrooms were saved. What really bothered me was the noise, as the "kiosk" with the fish sandwich sales and attached kitchen is right next to the covered outdoor area. The sliding glass door to the kitchen was never closed, so that both the kitchen smells e.g. B. from frying and the constant knocking of schnitzel can be heard throughout the restaurant. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been a nice visit.

I was looking forward to tagliatelle with salmon in a tomato/cream sauce. Tagliatelle was served drowned in a tomato/cream sauce with smoked salmon shreds. I think, no I know, that this dish is not difficult to prepare and that it could be served more appetizingly and with freshly fried salmon.

We ate there today as a couple and were given a very friendly welcome. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The portions are sufficient and the price-performance ratio is right. We'd love to come back.

Delicious, but comparatively very expensive fish sandwiches. Still, large portions that somewhat justify the price. A little too little remoulade for my taste (but a matter of taste or an oversight). Fish tastes VERY fresh and is prepared with a lot of love. The master fryer also has a lot of fun with his job and is diligently learning German. Great guy. And the taste is right too.

We chose food from the weekly menu and were very satisfied. The swordfish was excellent. I think it's great that there is a choice of German-Italian dishes. Will definitely go again 😀 Service friendly and attentive.

I ordered several fish sandwiches. The fish was partially placed on the bun with bare hands. Didn't look appetizing. Hygiene doesn't seem to be particularly important here. The taste of the fish was still good.

Ordered fish sandwiches on hand. At €5.50 at the moment it’s rather cheap. But what you get for this price. Incredible. Absolutely the best rolls I have eaten here anywhere. I would also run 10km for that.

We love coming back to Utspann again and again, we actually love everything there and the staff is great. Everything is freshly prepared, it is made from fresh ingredients and the sauces in particular are unique, the currywurst is a poem 😀👍 I could write so much, it is definitely worth visiting in Kellenhusen Utspann. The prices are absolutely reasonable, we are already looking forward to our next visit 😀👍

Arriving at your place on vacation is always wonderful, sociable and super tasty! Great tagliatelle with salmon/pistachio pesto, very nice side salad and a good dry red wine. The grappa is a fine dessert ;) And always friendly service. To you very soon :)

Right in front of the pier. German and Italian cuisine. We had fried fish with fries and vegetarian rigatoni verdure; both were very tasty. The service was very friendly and the prices were OK, including drinks €39.30. Dogs welcome. Smoking is permitted in the winter garden.

Unsere Freunde wollten mit uns ins utspan, nach Lesen der Bewertungen wollte ich fast nicht hin. Zum Glück sind wir dann doch mit, denn das Essen übertraf die Erwartung (wie gesagt, nach lesen). Das Essen war richtig gut, ich hatte Rumpsteak und das war auf dem Punkt Medium! Mein Mann hatte eine Pizza und die war auch richtig knusprig und gut. Alles in allem kann man das Restaurant durchaus besuchen und wir kommen sicher mal wieder. Positiv anzumerken ist auch, dass der Chef selbst nachgefragt hat, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Dies passiert auch nicht in vielen Restaurants. Danke, war ein schöner Abend!

Kann man machen. Schön wäre es, da man nur 10m vom Strand entfernt mit Blick auf die Ostsee sitzt, wenn der Backfisch selbstgemacht wäre. Anstelle des TK Backfisch. Der war zwar auch gut, aber eben nicht selbst gemacht. Sowas kann ich auch von Bofrost oder bei Nordsee bekommen. Außerdem gibt es ja sowas wie Kochjacken, die z. B. das kochende Personal anstelle von normalen Shirts und Jeans tragen könnte. Macht irgendwie einen professionelleren Eindruck. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und "flott" und der Preis ist OK. Wie gesagt, kann man mal machen.

Wir waren hier zu viert essen, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder und sind total begeistert. Wir saßen in einem geschlossenen, äußeren Bereich, so dass man einfach fröhlich alles beobachten konnte. Außerdem waren alle sehr freundlich! Das essen war ein Traum! Die Portionen sowohl für die Kinder, als auch für uns absolut ausreichend, so dass auch jeder überall probieren konnte und jeder satt wurde. Wir sind rundum zufrieden gewesen!!

Dreimal hervorragendes Essen bekommen. Egal ob Schnitzel, Pizza oder Hamburger.. alles hat super geschmeckt und von den Portionen kaum zu schaffen. Ich hab mich wohl gefühlt und komme gerne wieder

nur 2 Sterne beim Ambiente .. Im wirklich schönen Wintergarten wurde geraucht . Obwohl dort Speisen serviert werden. Ein nogo und soweit ich informiert bin nicht erlaubt!!!! Schade, somit nicht unser Lokal.

Leider waren wir nicht glücklich mit dem Essen, der Salat war nicht gut gewaschen, es hat geknirscht beim Kauen, das Schnitzel mit den Pfifferlingen..., das Fleisch und die Pommes bzw. Bratkartoffeln o.k., der Rest leider nahezu geschmacksneutral. Die Soße schmeckte fad und wie Fertigpulver mit einem Champignon drinnen obwohl es ja Pfifferlinge waren, welche wiederum leider auch absolut neutral schmeckten. Für den Salat wurde uns ein Ersatz angeboten und ein Kaffee ging aufs Haus. Diese Reaktion fanden wir sehr gut, freundlich und aufmerksam war die Bedienung ebenfalls. Wir waren letztes Jahr mehrmals dort und absolut zufrieden aber diesesmal ging es leider in die Hose. Der Preis für dieses Gericht in der uns servierten Qualität ist viel zu hoch und das Gericht auch so nicht empfehlenswert. Deswegen leider nur 2 gutgemeinte Sterne. Update nach 3 Jahren Wir waren heute mal wieder im Utspann essen und können sagen es war einfach Klasse. Große, sehr leckere Portionen, allemal den Preis wert, tolles Ambiente durch den "Anbau vorn" wodurch man auch bei Wind und Regen geschützt sitzen kann und ein top Service vom uns bedienenden Kellner Tahsin. Tolles Team, tolle Gerichte, faire Preise. Macht weiter so, wir kommem gerne wieder.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal dort, und bin wirklich beeindruckt!! Das Essen war sehr gut, und die Portionen waren riesig. Dazu kommt der fabelhafte Service. Allgemein ist der Laden super sauber und hygienisch, und das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Dies ist mit das Beste Restaurant in Kellenhusen, wirklich sehr empfehlenswert!

Super Essen, freundliche Bedienung, sehr netter Service. Waren in unserem Urlaub zwei mal hier und beide male wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Kommen im nächsten Urlaub bestimmt wieder!!!

Wir haben die Fischbrötchen, für unsere Kinder die Pommes und am letzten Abend im Restaurant a la Card gegessen und waren begeistert. Es wurde jedes Mal alles frisch zubereitet und das Portion/Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist gerechtfertigt. Immer wieder gern und sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr gut und preislich angemessen. Das Bier war etwas teuer. Ich würde aber wieder kommen und es jedem Freund empfehlen.

Die Wartezeit war sehr gering und das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Zutaten der einzelnen Pizzen waren jedoch nicht lecker, da sie nicht frisch schmeckten. Der Rucola liegt nun zwischen den Algen am Meer!

Nepp oder Frechheit? Wenn man fragt ob es die Gerichte auch als kleine Portion gibt und man als Antwort :selbstverständlich bekommt gehe ich nicht davon aus, daß ich den regulären Speisekartenpreis zahlen muss. Normalerweise ist der Betrag ein paar Euro weniger, aber hier: Preis aus der Karte plus 2.50 € "Umstellung". Somit ist es teurer als die normale Portion - für mich und jeden normal denkenden Menschen Abzocke.... Oder sehe ich das falsch???

Update 08/2023: Wir sind dieses Jahr während unseres Urlaubs täglich dort gewesen und haben im Restaurant Abendbrot gegessen, was soll ich sagen? Die Qualität ist noch besser geworden, das Essen noch leckerer und die Bedienung war super freundlich. Sehr familiäre Atmosphäre und auf Sonderwünsche wird ohne Diskussionen eingegangen. Hier will man, dass sich der Gast wohlfühlt und dass es ihm schmeckt. Die Portionen sind mehr als reichlich, aber man kann fast alles in Seniorgröße bestellen (gut, bei einem Würstchen z.B. ist das nicht möglich, da man die nur ganz verkaufen kann). Einen ganz lieben Dank an das gesamte Personal, das auch mal ein nettes Wort für uns über hatte und an den Koch, der persönlich an den Tisch gekommen ist um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir haben uns bei Euch sehr wohl gefühlt!

Restaurant mit To Go Geschäft. Wir waren beim To Go. Alles ganz Frisch zubereitet. Preise ortsüblich. Backfisch, Pommes, Matjes, Schnitzel. Es gibt eine große Auswahl.

"Ehrliche, herzliche Küche", tolle Sommerweine-authentischer Geschmack! Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Für mich ein Muss für alle Kellenhusenfreunde!

Schmeckt sehr gut, nicht zu teuer. Personal war sehr nett zu uns und ging auf kleine extrawünsche ein, danke. Der Hund durfte auch mit.

Der Backfisch besteht fast nur aus dicker Panade und ist tk Ware. Und der Karte steht Pommes oder Bratkartoffeln. Bei der Wahl von Bratkartoffeln bekommt man eine Umstellung berechnet ohne das man vorher darauf aufmerksam gemacht wird! Der Koch am Ausserhausverkauf leckte zweimal einen Löffel ab und rührte immer wieder die Remoulade um.

Der Salat mit Lachs war unglaublich. Der Salat knirschte durch Sand, Rucolablätter waren kleiner als die gebrochenen Stiele, alles war von Mengen von Salatsoße durchweicht, auch die Teigschale. Dieser Salat lag schon seit Stunden in der Soße und war dadurch vollkommen schlapp. Der Chef war leider nicht kritikfähig. Meine Reklamation nahm er lediglich zur Kenntnis, keine Entschuldigung. Auch, wenn hauptsächlich Touristen sein Lokal besuchen, sollte man auf einwandfreies Angebot achten. Die Punkte beziehen sich auf die Pasta meines Mannes. Nie wieder!
