Delicious food, refreshing beer, a beautiful beer garden in good weather, equally lovely interior design, and friendly service – fantastic value for money!

It's located right in the middle of Regensburg's city park. I'm a big fan of Kneitinger beer...😉 I was here with over 30 people (class reunion).

The food was absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere at the tapping of the first keg of bock beer with music was wonderful. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff were very friendly, but the male waiter was anything but. He was extremely unfriendly and refused to discuss why he reacted so rudely to perfectly normal inquiries. As a guest, you start to wonder if you're even welcome or if you should just leave. The old adage "the customer is king" clearly doesn't apply to this gentleman. That was the first and last time we'll ever eat there. Fortunately, there are plenty of other restaurants that are happy to have paying customers.

We were with a group of friends with 3 children. Kind, helpful service. From vegetarian to traditional food, we found something suitable for everyone. I can only recommend it to everyone.

A very nice beer garden, beautifully located in the middle of the city park. I like it there often. Especially in spring and summer when you can sit outside. But it's also nice and bright inside. The service is really friendly. I recommend the currywurst. It comes with a super delicious curry sauce. The only real negative is the extremely high prices. Hence the 4 stars.

I can't rate the food (yet). I only know that the beer garden is beautiful. It's pleasantly quiet, and the beautiful, old, magnificent linden trees create a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The beer is great anyway, served fresh and cold. See you soon.

A truly traditional Bavarian inn with a lovely beer garden. Unfortunately, this is becoming increasingly rare. Reservations are required for evenings starting at 5:00 PM. During the day, there are usually spaces available during the week.

Absolutely unfriendly service. You feel like you have to apologize for ordering as a guest. It's a shame, because the ambiance is great, the quiet location in the park is truly beautiful, and the food is pretty average for Bavarian cuisine. But the service ruins the experience.

After waiting for five minutes, no one came to us. When we asked for the menu or tried to order something, we were told that no service was available in that area – very hospitable. As we left the beer garden, we were given a look as if we owed them something. I will definitely try ordering something there again.

Unfortunately, we were unlucky that evening with the less than friendly service. But the staff there are also very nice and humorous.

Located in the heart of the city park, the "Unter den Linden" restaurant offers a dream location – quiet, green, and with a truly lovely beer garden. The two of us were there and had roast pork with dumplings and a Swiss sausage salad – both were very, very good. Homemade, hearty, and just right all around. The beer was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality and location. A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy – especially in good weather. Highly recommended!

The food was very good, but the prices were overpriced. The service could have been a bit friendlier. The food and drinks were placed in front of us quite roughly, and the server didn't even ask if we enjoyed our meal or if we wanted anything else. When we finally paid, she didn't even thank us, even though everyone tipped her.

Today, I enjoyed a delicious roast pork with crackling, potato dumplings, and coleslaw at the Unter den Linden restaurant in Regensburg's beer garden, under the linden trees of the same name. If you're still a fan of vegetarian or vegan food, you're missing out on a lot!

Terrible service, we waited for a long time until someone came to our table, then the waitress pulled her mouth, so in the end we didn't even eat, we just asked for a drink. A real disappointment, if you want to spoil your mood, I only recommend it.

Der Service der Wirtschaftführung ist schlecht. Wollten für Ostermontag Mittag Tisch für 5-6 Personen tel. bestellen. Die Wirtschaftsführung hatte sich noch nicht einmal entschieden ob überhaupt geöffnet wird (Mo normalerweise Ruhetag). Hinweis dass zurückgerufen wird. Bis heute nach 2 Tagen immer noch kein Rückruf. Schlechter Kundenservice der Führung.

Nice restaurant with a sufficiently extensive menu, the waitress first had to put up with two dogs that bitched around a bit, after that everything went well. The schnitzel was perfect, as was the homemade potato salad. I also really enjoyed the Kneitinger beer because of its higher hop content.

Spent a lovely evening there. Good beer, good food and super fast, friendly service. In addition, appropriate children's meals. The ox cheeks and the spinach and cheese dumplings are highly recommended. Ambiance is too modern for me. But that is my very personal opinion. Everything is very clean. Would come back there again and again.

Very nice beer garden in the middle of the park. The food is delicious and varied and inexpensive lunch menus are offered throughout the week. When the weather is nice, it's very busy at lunchtime and in the evening. Online reservation possible and recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

I had the Ochsenbackerl. The portion was great because of its large size and was so tender and tasty. The service was top and as a disabled person I felt very well looked after there.

October 2024 update Went to the pub today and ate delicious cheese spaetzle with a good side salad. The service was on point and friendly. The food came quite quickly, was appetizingly prepared, hot and tasty. After the last general renovation, the restaurant is very inviting inside. The lunch menu offers the option of a relatively inexpensive meal with an espresso included - highly recommended! P.S. the beer garden has (unfortunately) shrunk back to normal size! _____________________________________________ Currently a fairly large beer garden with the chance of a spontaneous spot - even if the numerous reservations, some of which didn't come at all, don't make it easy. The food tasted good and came from a classic beer garden menu. There isn't really anything special to be found on the map. All rather simple and down-to-earth dishes at acceptable prices. The service is quick and friendly, even if some seem annoyed (probably because of the many questions about the unoccupied tables). Since the restaurant is located in the middle of the city park, the children can have fun there.

Well-attended Bavarian restaurant in the city park, the food is always prepared very tasty ✨ the waitresses are always good and funny and very quick! Larger groups are always welcome with a reservation :) but the city park is a bit poorly lit in the evenings when it gets dark, but the restaurant can't do anything about that!

Very nice and quiet beer garden for the location. The waitresses are really on their toes and there were no long waiting times. Despite many different dishes, the food was served almost at the same time and was really delicious.

Very tastefully decorated! A friendly and quick service, And the food was so delicious and plentiful! The nice young lady was happy to pack the delicacies for us in an aluminum foil basket with a handle! Brilliant idea! As we walked home through the city park, passers-by immediately said... Beautiful small Biergarten in the park, next to a great playground for kids. Beers and food absolutely delicious - service efficient. Top spot for a stop in Regensburg.

Sausage salad was rather mediocre, instead of two slices of bread there was only one. It wasn't too bad, tasted like the day before... The fried chicken salad was delicious but so little in terms of salad technology, for 19€ it was a bottomless impudence… There are certainly better things in the area, which is a shame

Beautiful place withing the park and amazing atmosphere. You should definitely visit this place if you want to enjoy traditional german dishes, from schnitzel to local pasta as well as beef cheeks. Highly recommended going with family, friends or as couple.

A very nice and traditional inn in the middle of the city park. The staff is very friendly, the food is always delicious. We have enjoyed staying there for the last 30 years. Unfortunately the prices this year are just outrageous, e.g. €15 for 6 small bratwursts! So let's go to the other, beautiful beer gardens in Rbg (bratwursts 9 - 12 €)

Prices are one thing... but for €18.90 you can expect a home-breaded schnitzel, not a finished product from the freezer. (Pork schnitzel) That was really disappointing.

Roast pork is considered the flagship dish of a Bavarian tavern. We were there today for a funeral service. Roast pork definitely didn't taste like anything. Watery sauce with a touch of coloring. Is it so difficult to make a proper sauce?

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Regensburg. Top service, food and ambience. The Ochsensulz, the Kaiserschmarren, as well as many other delicacies are a dream. The beer anyway.

Not what it once was. The service was so bad, I've never experienced anything like it. 2 of the service employees were so unfriendly (and by that I mean really unfriendly and not just a harsh tone) that we would have liked to leave again, but we had already ordered. I had a question about the ingredients of a dish and was just yelled at instead of getting a normal answer to my normal question. The prices are high and the food is mediocre. It's a shame, I used to enjoy coming here. They probably can't choose their employees anymore and have to take whoever they get. The only thing that still scores points is the location in the city park. But I can now recommend going to a beer garden on the Danube 👍

Traditional brewery beer garden, local place not even an English menu. Traditional German food. Gets busy. Only German largers not even a weisse beer. Bratwurst was my pick.

Im Zuge der aktuellen Integrationsdebatte werde auch ich, als Bürger mit Migrationshintergrund, oft gefragt, was ich an der bayerischen Kultur am liebsten mag. Keine Kultur ist verbindender und lässt sich einfacher erklären und näherbringen als die bayerische Wirtshauskultur unter blauem Himmel. Ein sonniger Biergarten mit kaltem Bier und einem ordentlichen Schweinebraten mit Kraut, illustriert in schönster Weise das bayerische Credo der Toleranz vom „Leben und leben lassen“. Besonders gerne besuche ich mit Gästen von außerhalb das „Kneitinger unter den Linden“ im Regensburger Stadtpark. Das Essen ist stets solide und von gleichbleibender Qualität, und die Portionsgrößen sind auch für starke Männer ausreichend. Für Kinder und Vegetarier gibt es ebenfalls eine große Auswahl an schönen Gerichten. Das frisch gezapfte Kneitinger Fassbier ist auch an heißen Tagen gut temperiert, und der Service ist immer freundlich und bemüht. Letztens wurde ich von einem Gast freundlich ermahnt, dass man das Weißkraut nicht in der Bratensauce ertränken darf. Man lernt nie aus. Prost.

Cozy beer garden. The “inside” is also pretty. Service quick, beer nice and cold, food with too little love but at least good for a beer garden. I felt very comfortable in this park while the kids were able to play in the park. Therefore 5 points - with some compromises when it comes to eating.

The freshly tapped Kneitinger draft beer is at a good temperature even on hot days, and the service is always friendly and attentive. I was recently warned by a guest that you shouldn't drown the white cabbage in the gravy. You never stop learning.

Went there for dinner today as a family. Unfortunately not child-friendly, no painting supplies or anything like that. On my little daughter's spaetzle. Reasonsko conclusion stupid for children's food. Prices very high.

We really liked it here, great food and good service!

We were served very unfriendly, but we already knew the waiter from Kneitinger on Arnulfsplatz - something similar happened there. Ordered three Helles, then got three Pils. We complained without drinking. The answer was: light beer would be beer, beer would be Pilsner. Should have ordered more light Hans. Felt very unwelcome.

Ich wollte eine Reservierung für ein Familienfest vornehmen. Ich habe eine E-Mail wegen einer Gruppenreservierung geschrieben und danach zwei Wochen auf eine Antwort gewartet. Da ich nichts von "Unter den Linden" gehört habe, habe ich angerufen. Mir wurde gesagt, dass ich bald eine Antwort erhalten würde. Ich musste vier Mal anrufen, aber jedes Mal erhielt ich die gleiche Antwort, dass ich noch warten auf die Antwort muss. Gott sei Dank habe ich einen anderen Ort gefunden. "Unter den Linden" ist nicht zuverlässig. Ich habe alles im Voraus organisiert, aber das Management war überhaupt nicht bereit, irgendetwas für potenzielle Kunden zu tun.

In unseren Augen, (6 Mann Stammtisch aus Köln) Numner 1 Biergarten Regensburgs, zusammen mit "Alte Linde" an der Steinernen. Alte Linde liegt schön an der Donau mit Blick auf Regensburg. Hier ist eine andere Lage, im Wald/Park, aber in der Stadt, absolut ruhig, Bushaltestelle direkt davor. Gut kaltes Kneitinger Bier, gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen.

Very nice place (nice interior and clean tables). We were there for lunch menu, price about 15€. Very friendly stuff. With lunch menu goes free espresso.

On my last visit the cordon bleu cost €19. Now 23€, mind you, without salad! Munich prices in the Bavarian province

It's a shame that the menu of this beautiful restaurant is now so different from the parent restaurant on Arnulfsplatz. People here seem to be increasingly pandering to the urban green-alternative veggie society.

The food is not really cooked here, but some of the food that has already been prepared is more or less warmed up. The prices are now outrageously high and in no way correspond to the quality. The VAT increase is cheekily exploited here and prices are sometimes increased by up to 20%.

Super delicious food. The staff was also very friendly. Afterwards you can take a leisurely stroll through the Herzogspark

Our absolute favorite beer garden. They are often guests in the summer. The garden extension, which now extends into the park, is also nice. Hopefully again next summer. The entire team was very friendly and always in a good mood. It's probably due to the great management and the good food.

Nach einem Spaziergang kehrten meine Freundin und ich unter den Linden ein Essen war hervorragend trotz Seniorenteller war es reichlich dachte man hätte sich vertan war aber nicht so. Bedienung sehr freundlich und zu vorkommend. Kommen gerne wieder.

Schöner Biergarten mit vielen Sitzplätze. Das Essen ist sehr lecker gut zubereitet. Die Portionen sind auch groß der Preis stimmt auch. Die Ochsenbackerl und das Haxenfleisch sind zu empfehlen. Am besten soll man v.a. am Wochenende im Voraus reservieren, das geht ganz schnell über die Webseite.

Schönes Ambiente. Waren in einer Gruppe dort und waren alle zufrieden. Die Kruste ist schön resch, die Portionen reichlich.Bier aus der Kneitinger Brauerei. Freundlicher Service, danke an Tamara. Sehr zu empfehlen wenn man keinen Touristen Trubel haben möchte.

Der Biergarten im Stadtpark lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Kneitinger-Bier ist ausgezeichnet, die Speisen sind gut. Eine gute Alternative zu den beiden an der Donau gelegenen Biergärten.

Pyszne jedzenie, miła obsługa, fajny klimat. Wśród gości chyba głównie lokalni mieszkańcy, co dla mnie turysty jest dodatkowym atutem. Kuchnia lokalna, bez zadęcia, nieudawana, aromatyczna. Bardzo polecam.

Uriges Wirtshaus mitten im Regensburger Stadtpark Nettes Personal und schönes Ambiente

Tolle Location, freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Das Essen ist einfach gut. Nach der Renovierung wird Kneitinger Bier ausgeschenkt. Herrlich.

Man wird von oben herab behandelt. Dies beginnt bei der Platzsuche und endet beim Bezahlen.

Wer gerne in einen Biergarten geht, der ist unter den Linden gut aufgehoben. Man kann wählen entweder im äußeren oder im inneren Biergarten zu sitzen. Das Essen ist sehr gut und man bekommt eine sehr gute Portion. Der Service ist auf Zack und die rattern viel weg. Grosses Lob. Auf jeden Fall ist dieser Biergarten immer ein Besuch wert.

Ableger des Kneitinger Mutterhauses im Stadtpark. Innen eher modern. Nicht so gemütlich wie das Mutterhaus am Arnulfsplatz. Essen ist ähnlich. Klassiker ist der Schweinebraten mit Knödel.
