Umut Grill Haus in Offenburg

You order a kebab with specific requirements: with chicken and no onions, and they can't even manage that. I got a kebab with chicken and beef with onions. You should be able to handle the simplest job, right? It cost €8.50, even though the menu clearly states €8! I'm horrified. What if something like that happened to someone with allergies? I don't recommend this place! As of September 3, 2025

We randomly stopped by this place for our vacation. The portions were very filling and delicious. The prices were also very reasonable. Thank you for our chef's sincerity and smiling face.

The best example of "quantity over quality" €19 for a doner kebab, a yufka, and an ayran – that's significantly overpriced. Especially compared to other kebab shops where the bread is fresh or even homemade. The yufka bread tastes and smells exactly like the tortilla bread from Lidl – definitely not homemade. The doner bread seemed old, dry and chewy in texture, as if it were two or three days old and had only been briefly warmed up in the toaster. Anyone from the Balkans will be familiar with the typical "school bread" from the cafeteria – that's exactly what the bread served here tastes like: plain, industrial, and anything but fresh. Conclusion: Large portion, but disappointing in quality. The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack here.

The best Yufka taste I know. When I'm in Offenburg I always eat here, highly recommended.

A small family business where everything is freshly prepared – and you can taste it. I've been eating at Umut's for a few years now, and I have to say: The doner kebab is simply outstanding. In my opinion, there's no better one in our area. Anyone who knows a little about doner will agree. With the first bite, you immediately taste the freshness of the vegetables, the juicy meat, and the bread wonderfully crispy. Especially in the last quarter of the doner, the meat juices collect in the bread – that's the icing on the cake of this unique flavor. Try the doner kebab, whether veal or chicken – you won't be disappointed. The chicken doner is prepared completely differently here than usual and is highly recommended!

Small nice bistro, only order one portion of chicken nuggets with fries. It's frozen goods, but it was still tasty. Staff was very nice and friendly 👍 Gladly again!

Simply the best kebab shop in town! The combination of fresh kebab meat, crispy pizza and homemade sauce is unbeatable. The sauce gives the whole thing a unique taste that you won't find anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick and reliable. I like to come back here again and again. Absolutely recommended!

Surprised me Yufka with chicken was very tasty.

Some of the meat was quite burnt and the bread was very dry. The kebab was okay and enough for a quick hunger, I wouldn't eat it again.

Was a great experience! Ordered there despite negative comments from my colleague. When asked whether chicken would be possible (even though there is no chicken rotisserie), the surprising answer was "Yes, of course". Then I couldn't believe my eyes. :D the chicken breast pieces that were specially made for me were frying on the grill. I've never eaten or experienced anything like this before, but friends: it must have been one of the best Yufka I've ever eaten. It was a mix between Yufka and Wrap, in a combination that tasted so awesome!!! Absolute enthusiasm. When we said that the bus was coming, he and his employee made our Yufka in a flash and left all the other things in the shop! Get a free drink on top... We'll definitely be back!!! Thank you for this experience!!!

Ate there for the first time and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed the kebab. We really liked the sauce because it was something different and the slightly crusty bread was also very good. All in all great 👍🏻

Ein gutes Haus Personal sehr freundlich

Ich vertrage eigentlich kein Fleisch was ziemlich stark gewürzt ist. Klar sind auch hier Gewürze dran. Aber eben nur soviel, das man auch das Fleisch noch schmeckt und 7.50 Euro für ein Kebap-Teller, der richtig schön voll ist , da kann man nicht meckern. Komme immer hier vorbei, wenn ich in Offenburg bin. Natürlich ist Essen immer Geschmackssache und jeder urteilt natürlich anders.

Personal und Essen ist gut. Punkt.

Montag das erste Mal dort gewesen. Dieser Döner gibt mir wieder Hoffnung für Baden Württemberg. Ich habe so gut wie alle Döner im Raum Offenburg und Umgebung durch und fand alle gleich schlecht. War absolut überrascht von diesem hier, richtig leckeres und knackiges Brot, nicht diese standard Fladen. Dazu leckere Soße und alles super frisch. Ich werde definitiv Stammkunde. Endlich wieder ein leckerer Döner 🥙 👌🏻.

Mein Sohn und ich gehen sehr gerne hin. 1x wöchentlich sind wir dort zum Mittagessen. Ganz liebe Inhaberfamilie. Essen schmeckt sehr gut und ist reichlich. Mein behindertes Kind liebt es dort. Er möchte nirgends anders hin. Jetzt hatten wir lange Pause, aber im neuen Jahr geht es wieder hin.👍

Sehr freundliches Personal, eigentlich Selbstbedienung aber haben mir gleich angeboten Platz zu nehmen. Lediglich die Plastikflasche mit dem Getränk hat mir nicht gefallen und es können einfache Kissen auf den sehr unbequemen Aussenstühlen sein Daher ein Stern Abzug auch konnte ich kein barrierefreies WC sehen.

Der Döner war relativ gut. Nur das Fladenbrot war nicht so hochwertig.

Das Essen dort war sehr gut, Preis-Leistung normal. Die sanitären Anlagen waren sauber, ein ordentlicher Laden. 5 Sterne gibt es vor allem wegen der ausgesprochenen Freundlichkeit der Besitzer.

Mir fällt es leider IMMER wieder auf das in dönerläden die Hygiene nicht stimmt. Grad in der Corona zeit achte ich drauf, das ist schon der 5 laden denn ich schlecht bewerte Wenn man geld kasiert und mit den händen mein döner zusammen rollt wird mir schon schlecht davon ich verstehe nicht warum es dazu vom Gesundheitsamt keine strafe gibt

Das kann ich nicht so genau sagen was alles gut und nicht so toll war...

Mein absoluter lieblingsdöner im ganzen Raum um Offenburg und eigentlich auch generell. Super nettes Personal, typisch halt für kleine Döner Läden sehr familiär 👍👍👍

Ich liebe euer Döner jedoch fand ich die alten Inhaber viel besser... als ich letztens yufka bestellt habe war eigentlich NUR Zwiebeln drinne und ein kleines bisschen Salat und mehr nicht... die alten Inhaber haben viel viel mehr reingemacht aber der Döner schmeckt trotzdem echt sehr gut

Der Kebab ist recht gut und die Bedienung nett und zuvorkommend. Für mehr Info fehlt mir leider Erkenntnis des Angebotes.
