Small but nice. Food was ok. Service super friendly. But seemed uncoordinated. Drinks only came after the meal, which was the wrong thing to start with.

Great. The concept of pho vs. ramen alone makes you want to go to the store. Had an excellent tonkotsu - every spoonful tasted different.

A very familiar and authentic restaurant that fuses Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. We really liked it, especially the variety of dishes worth it and very surprised.

The gyozas are also a highlight: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and full of flavor. The shop may be small, but that gives it a charming, intimate character. Very tasty food, great selection of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. The employees are very friendly and the service is quick. Everything's fine. You have to make compromises with the restaurant itself, small, narrow, loud, moderately comfortable, the tables are glued. The transition from shabby chic to rancid is close. And only paying in cash is no longer appropriate.

Unfortunately only mediocre. Unfortunately, the vegan ramen was rather bland. Despite having a reservation, you had to wait for a table and the seats were so close together that you could hardly sit comfortably.

The food is ok. The ramen might not be the best we've had in HH, but it was good. The curry was very tasty, but the portion was far too small and there was hardly any meat. I would possibly come back again for a second chance. However, you also have to say that the ambience is really not that great and you sit very cramped next to the neighboring tables. By the way, you can only pay in cash or with PayPal!

Great place for your Asian cuisine needs ! I only had the time to test the Phõ, and it's quite good. Not exactly the recipe I'm used too (no meatballs or tripes) but it's still very good. The broth is not too fat, very savory and fresh, full of herbs (cilantro, thai basil, soy beans and lemongrass) and the beef is tasty. Served with lemon and some kind of vinegar garlic on the side; we really enjoyed it ! I'd like to test the ramen and some of the starters next time !

A very nice, cozy place, with extremely friendly service and the best Udon Curry I've ever had in my life – I recommend ordering it with ramen noodles instead of udon. The broth is masterful, I truly recommend it to everyone. From the outside, it looks completely unassuming, but I assure you, it's worth it!

Ramen is definitely highly recommended! Unfortunately you can only pay in cash, which came as a surprise to us. But there is an ATM nearby, so it's not that bad.

For us one of the best restaurants in Hamburg! You have to like the edgy atmosphere near the Schanze/Kiez (or at least it shouldn't bother you) - definitely no fancy seats. But incredibly delicious food: Japanese and Vietnamese menu (also: vegan). The ramen/pho is seasoned great and you get large portions for a reasonable price. The udon noodles, bun cha and bibimbap are also so delicious! As a starter we can highly recommend the gyoza with the spicy sauce. We've tried a lot of things in HH, but we always come back to Ume no Hana! The service is always very nice and attentive. The only drawback: no card payment is possible. It would be really great if you could pay cashless in the future, it's just annoying to always have to withdraw extra money. Wait and see! :)

The FOOD is super tasty, super seasoned and the homemade lemonades taste great! The service is quick. In terms of price, it is a bit expensive as the portion does not quantitatively reflect the price. But in terms of taste, the high price is definitely justified!

Price/performance is not right here. We sat outside on stools at rickety, scuffed tables, which would be fine if the food was good. The dumplings as starters are ready-made products and the sauce is also simply mixed together. I had the duck for 17.50. There were about 5 strips with little meat and fried for too long. With normal Chinese you get 3 times the amount and crispy brown. Service was nice and a little too quick. Even during the starter, the main courses were squeezed somewhere on the table. All of this doesn't even begin to match the prices. There are many better ones.

ATTENTION, the “Vegan” menu is NOT reliably vegan. I was just told by the waiter that coconut milk also contains cow's milk in vegan dishes.

It was really loud outside and not really comfortable on the cheap plastic stools. There are really plenty of good Vietnamese people in Hamburg these days. But the food here just wasn't convincing at all. The number 16 consisted simply of iceberg lettuce, a mountain of rice noodles, water, lime and a few spring rolls. On V11. Only the sauce was better. But the dishes really lacked sophistication and taste. There really are other Vietnamese with better food!!

Solid & tasty Vietnamese food with a good selection of dishes, the service is subtle but greenish. The prices are a little higher, but the portions could be larger. One star deducted for the fact that you can only pay in cash, sorry but in 2024 that is no longer appropriate and raises questions as to why it is still handled this way.

The food is really very tasty. There is a good vegan selection. Unfortunately the service is not very attentive. We've been there three times so far and the wrong dishes were brought to us twice. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we were not offered the correct food; rather, we were persuaded to eat the wrong food. For example, we ordered vegan spring rolls and got summer rolls. Of course they taste good too, but if we had wanted to eat summer rolls we would have ordered them. Comment from the waitress “It’s also vegan”. Oh well.

I would definitely recommend this Ramen spot here! I was very happy with my order of "TONKOTSU RAMEN" very tasty all the way through although the vegetarian gyoza could have been a little bit more fried in my opinion.

A small restaurant with authentic Vietnamese flair. You'll want to go back to this restaurant because of the food. This was brought to the table particularly quickly and tasted particularly good.

I've never had a meal served so quickly. Unfortunately, the quality also seems to suffer as a result. The small plastic chairs are at risk of collapsing and are more suitable for a daycare center. Still well attended.

The service was very quick and the food came to our table within 20 minutes. According to the Hamburg Schlemmer card, we would have actually gotten a 10% discount. However, the waitress was not familiar with the menu. In any case, the food was super tasty. I definitely recommend it! Unfortunately, the store was sprayed with graffiti.

The two of us ate here. We were seated very quickly and friendly and the menus were brought to us. Ordering was also quick - unfortunately some of our staff were very incomprehensible. The food came quickly and was flawless. Otherwise everything was really great. The only other point of criticism would perhaps be the stools for sitting outside - they aren't the most comfortable, but it's definitely bearable. We'll be back :)

Conclusion: Good, better, Ume No Hana. The Ume No Hana (Japanese: Plum Blossom) has been offering very good and affordable Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine between Schanze and Pauli for many years. There are classics such as all kinds of ramen, udon noodles, warm rice noodle salad, edamame or summer rolls. The menu is varied and has a separate section for vegetarian/vegan dishes. The service is fast and friendly, the kitchen is fast to super fast. The approximately 50 seats inside are supplemented by additional tables outside (more recently also with a roof for typical Hamburg summer weather). Children are welcome and a high chair is also available. You order and pay at the table and the rule is that only cash is real (so unfortunately no card). Tip: Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk and coconut milk. A delicious twist on this classic drink.

Mega delicious food! The staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions. On our last visit it was completely full outside and we got a table inside with our (unannounced) group of eight. Unfortunately we weren't noticed very well there, so we had to wait a little longer before we could reorder. But it wasn't that bad. The food definitely made up for it!

Great Vietnamese restaurant with outdoor seating. We were there at short notice with a large group and managed to get a reservation. Reservations should definitely be made during peak times on weekends. There is a large selection of Asian dishes. Everything tasted great. I would come again.

My main course of chicken with red curry came in a small starter soup bowl. It contained maybe 1.5 champions, three strips of peppers and 3 strips of chicken. Plus a little rice. The food was rather thin in terms of taste. The price is absolutely too high for this performance. Anyone who goes here again really has only themselves to blame. There are so many good Vietnamese people in Hamburg. This one has nothing.

Nice personel. However, I was completely disappointed with the food and will not go there again. Unfortunately, after the first spoonful I already knew that it wasn't good ramen. A broth that tastes like nothing, hardly any meat and bland vegetables. Paying 17 euros for that didn't feel good. The rice noodle salad tasted like nothing, the mushrooms were wobbly, the salad was prepackaged. Unfortunately not recommended at all.

While searching for ramen online, I came across Ume no Hana. We were there yesterday. The map has a lot to offer. Since I knew that I wanted vegan ramen, the choice wasn't that difficult for me. My companion, on the other hand, had a hard time deciding among the many great dishes and ordered one of the employees' recommendations. We had the vegan Tantamen Ramen and the Udon Xao Vit. We were both very enthusiastic about our food. The broth is strong and rich. The portions are good. It was super delicious! We'd love to come back. There is a deduction for the ambience because we sat outside (our decision) and it wasn't quite as nice there as inside. But it doesn't detract from the experience.

The food tastes great! The staff is very friendly, the food comes quickly even when it's full and the menu is great too! Everyone can find something to eat here! However, I can't give it more than 3 stars because the portions are so small that none of us were full (despite the starter). Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't up to par, as you pay around €15 for a main course. As I said, everything tastes A1, but for the price you could put a little more on the plate.
