Das Hoi An ist sowohl für den schnellen Lunch als auch den gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden geeignet. Die Bedienung ist immer schnell und dabei sehr freundlich. Wir gehen gern dorthin. Egal an welchem Wochentag. Die Abendkarte bietet allerlei Leckereien. Die Chefin ist immer selbst anwesend und guckt, das alles läuft.

The Hoi An restaurant in Hamburg-Harburg offers a welcoming atmosphere and fresh Vietnamese cuisine. The dish I tried was visually appealing and made with crunchy vegetables and tender rice noodles. Particularly noteworthy is the use of fresh herbs, which round off the taste of the dish. Service was attentive and friendly, with food served in a reasonable time. One small point of criticism: The seasoning could have been a little more intense to bring out the authentic Vietnamese taste even better. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant with a great selection of fresh dishes.

The food is perfectly fine - comparable to the average of all Asians in Hamburg. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are inadequately equipped. Instead of paper towels, you should dry your hands with facial tissues - you won't find soap. That's disgusting when you imagine that all the guys are now spreading their coli bacteria in the restaurant. And at the end we have to pay a three-digit amount in cash... that's NOT possible these days. We always get the feeling of tax evasion when we have to pay in cash. It can't be because of the costs - no card reader including transaction costs is as expensive as holding cash (employees walk to the bank, stand in line for hours, make payments, get change...). So we had to walk to the ATM. The staff's recommendation was an overpriced ATM from a cash shark. The Haspa ATM would not work. I still went to Haspa and got free cash from a well-functioning ATM. Next time we'll eat next door - same quality, more hygiene and card payment.

Always enjoy delicious food in a nice atmosphere

If you really want to eat very good Vietnamese food, there is no way around this restaurant. The quality, freshness and taste is very good.

I've been visiting the restaurant for years, about 4 times a year. The food is always consistently fantastic. Always perfectly seasoned and always high quality. The ambience is great. Like a short vacation. Always friendly staff. Price absolutely fine. The surrounding area also offers a lot, especially in summer. Definitely worth a visit.

Super nice Asian restaurant in Harburg near the water. Here you can treat yourself to authentic Vietnamese food in the cozy restaurant. Anyone who has ever been to Hoi An in Vietnam will feel transported back there. The atmosphere was simply magical. There were a lot of different dishes and it was difficult for me to choose from all the delicacies. We were here with work colleagues. In the end I took duck and none of the Vietnamese specialties. As a starter there were spring rolls and wontons, all very tasty. Duck was juicy. Super generous portions, so you'll definitely be full. The rice here is special because it is not the typical white cooked rice like in other restaurants. The waiter Minh was super attentive and very friendly! Overall worth a visit.

I would take a hungry person to dinner, but not to a specific meeting with someone important.

Das Essen , obwohl mit 2 Chilis bewertet war fade. Angeblich mit Kräutern, es handelte sich um ein Petersilienbüschel. Koriander war bestellt, landete dann aber in einem Schälchen auf dem Tisch. Nach Reklamation wurde scharfe Sauce draufgekippt. Das für 20€, schlimm.

The food was delicious, the service was always friendly and the atmosphere was very nice and unique.

Recommended for those who have a lunch break of several hours at midday, otherwise unfortunately not. Service insanely slow and confused.

Very tasty Vietnamese dishes at fair prices. The interior is nicely decorated. The tables are close together but not annoying.

We spontaneously went to Hoi An. We have rarely eaten so well. Everything is fantastically coordinated. The sanitary facilities are a small drawback.

What can I say - we've never had such good Vietnamese food!! We ordered there for the first time yesterday and were blown away, so we had to order the same food again today. We were accidentally given another order which we were kindly allowed to keep in addition to our actual order when we returned it :) of course we had to snack on it and the soup in it was to die for. It's a shame we don't live here, otherwise Hoi An would definitely have two new regular guests

No card payment possible, but there is an ATM nearby. Beautifully located in Harburg's inner harbor, a very popular restaurant with very friendly service. The selection of dishes is very good and everyone can find something that suits them. It is possible to order a dish from the starters. We were there with the family. It makes sense to reserve a table.

Delicious food and drink, what more could you want.

The food is still good, but unfortunately the staff wasn't as attentive for a long time and seemed very listless. Unfortunately I can't recommend a single cocktail. You can save yourself the money and order a spritzer instead. It has just as little alcohol and is definitely cheaper.

We really liked the restaurant. I recommend reserving a table as it can be very busy in the evenings. The homemade drinks are absolutely recommended. We liked the food very much, much better than many other Vietnamese, but it was a few euros more expensive. The location is nicely designed and the service was also very attentive and courteous. Good food, very nice staff, good prices. Great selection and very tasty. There are also a few outdoor spaces. Little tip: Always call in advance and reserve a place, especially on weekends!!!

I don't understand why people don't offer card payments these days. Maybe so you can earn more. Otherwise very expensive but also very tasty.

Too much iceberg lettuce in every dish. So all the dishes looked the same and you couldn't tell whether they were appetizing. Mango lassi was too runny. At the end of the meal the waiter informed us that you can only pay in cash. There is a Sparkasse ATM nearby that will be out of service until the end of the year and a second that charges high interest rates. All of this left an unpleasant experience. The duck was crispy and delicious.

The food is fresh and very tasty! Desserts are really great and with Vietnamese coffee it is perfectly rounded off. The atmosphere is really cute. The service is totally friendly and attentive. Everything is just right here.

Variety dishes with affordable price

Great place! The service is very nice and they speak English. The menu includes a good variety of Vietnamese dishes I recommend their Pho Xao. We also had Goi Cuon and Ca Ri Ga. The amount of food per dish is quite big and good for the price. Everything was just delicious and they gave us fortune cookies! The only thing to take into account is that they don’t have credit card as payment option so you need cash. But there’s an ATM right next to the place, so no excuses to enjoy!

The food is okay the staff is friendly. But be aware that it is a "cash only" restaurant. Just beside the restaurant there is a ATM automat but they charge you 20euros when taking out money. For 2024 it is a big minus that one cannot pay by credit card.

The food is really fantastic and particularly beautifully prepared. Our starters were swapped twice, and once I had to wait over three quarters of an hour for lunch because we had been forgotten 😅but these are certainly only exceptions. Otherwise a warm recommendation. The prices are slightly higher than in other comparable stores. But you also get something nicer than in most stores.

Google Maps says debut maps are accepted. There are signs everywhere in the store stating that card payments are not possible. It's always very strange to me when a store doesn't accept card payments. And it's even more strange when the information on Google Maps is presented differently

Very nice restaurant. Unfortunately we had a small problem with a soup but the service responded very well and friendly. You can also recognize a good local by how problems are dealt with. It's just a shame that card payments are not accepted and we had to go to the bank first.

We really liked Hoi An in Harburg Harbor. The restaurant is nicely and comfortably furnished inside and out. The water is not far, you can take a nice walk before or after eating. The parking situation is also relatively relaxed. We were here for dinner during the week, the restaurant was very busy, we definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. We ate really well, from the starter to the dessert everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. The selection is good, the portions are just right, and above all it is healthy cuisine, with tasty but light dishes that are decorated with plenty of raw vegetables and crunchy herbs - perfect. Staff very friendly and attentive. Attention, you can only pay in cash, we had to quickly run to the ATM before leaving the restaurant... luckily it's not far, but paying by card would of course be more convenient

If you want really great and delicious Asian food, this is the place for you. Nice, clear menu with various options per dish and not overloaded, as usual from the Chinese restaurant. Very fresh and totally delicious. I will definitely come here to eat regularly. Small additions that should also appear on the website: Card payments are currently not possible, so be sure to have enough cash with you. And during the European Championships there is a screen with live TV.

I'm actually not a fan of "Asian cuisine", but it's definitely different here: The food is very fresh and, in my opinion, also very natural, i.e. without artificial flavors etc. as we usually know it. It's not spicy either, it tastes good! Only the waiters are a little too shy and would be happy to come by again after the main course has been served and offer more drinks etc.

I really like Hoi An, so far there have never been any problems and they respond to all requests. Food is very very fresh and delicious. Portions are also appropriate, not too much and not too little. Appetizers are soooo good too! Employees are friendly and polite, you definitely feel super comfortable. It just really bothers me that you can't pay by card, I always find that very annoying.

The lunch menu is highly recommended. The food tasted excellent. The service was extremely friendly, quick and courteous. The high chair was brought immediately, as was a bowl of hot water to warm up the porridge.

Vietnamese restaurant that has a small but well-considered menu. Unfortunately, the starters are mostly fried. The main courses of pasta with various side dishes are very tasty.

The best Vietnamese restaurant I ate at in Germany. The dish is cleverly modified a bit, retaining both tradition and deliciousness. I especially recommend everyone to try Beef Pho. The beef is grilled in foil and marinated with a fragrant aroma. It is very tender and the pho broth is delicious and rich, even better than some pho restaurants in Vietnam. When I miss home, coming here to enjoy a bowl of pho makes me really love life ❤️

The vegetables offered were excellent. I have never eaten anything tastier. However, the "crispy" duck was gone under the sweet and sour sauce. .....A no go is to clear the plates when another guest at the table is still eating. The ambience has an Asian touch.

Update: Dogs are allowed again! The food and everything around it is great, but all dogs have recently been banned! It's a shame for all dog owners and unfortunately for us we won't be able to visit again.

Well... To be honest, I've eaten better. I expected something more. The place itself is very nice, nice people but you still have to put in a little more effort.

I love eating pan-Asian food. This restaurant serves authentic Vietnamese dishes. Super tasty and freshly prepared! No frozen goods that are fried and served. The tastiest peanut-coconut sauce I've tried so far. It is recommended to reserve a table from 6 p.m. The dishes cost about €2 more than usual at Asian restaurants.

Great food. I had soba with chicken and it was definitely the best soba dish I've ever had. The price seemed quite high at first glance, but it was a very large portion that filled me up well, and since it also tasted so delicious, the price was definitely justified.

I have known the restaurant since it opened because I used to live there and visited often, which is why I can assess the development of the restaurant very well. Today I visited again and was shocked at how much the prices had risen nominally. A bit of rice noodles with duck including vegetables costs an impressive €22, although the vegetables made up the main part of the dish. At the same time, expensive side dishes are saved and the proportion of cheap ingredients is increased, which corresponds to a double price increase. The service remained okay, but that's not so bad. Only 2 stars for the service because there has been no option to pay with a debit card for at least 4 years, which no longer fits the now higher price segment and has a bad aftertaste when you can even pay with a card at the bakery next door . The food still tastes very tasty and the atmosphere is nice too. Therefore a total of 3 stars out of 4 stars. The prices that have now been quoted, including the hidden price increase and the requirement to pay in cash, have removed this restaurant from my list. If Hoi Ann returns to a reasonable price-performance ratio, we will be happy to visit the restaurant again.

Everything was just right here! The ambience is great, the service is very courteous and friendly and the food is very, very tasty. There is a good selection of different dishes - not too many but still something for everyone. The portions are quite large, the vegetables are still nice and crunchy and the flavors are well balanced. Simply delicious all around. My highlight at the end: the Vietnamese coffee - definitely try it!

Not that small, but quite nice Vietnamese catering provider on the corner of Veritaskai/Schellerdamm in Hamburg-Harburg. Extensive but not overly large menu and decent portion sizes. If you've had one or two starters, the main course could be challenging. The food appears to be fresh and homemade. Wonton and spring rolls didn't give the impression of being "off the shelf" and were very tasty and beautifully decorated on the plate. The drinks were also particularly tasty, such as the mango lassi, the house lemonade and the Vietnamese coffee, which was very special but very tasty for me. At lunchtime it gets very crowded here very quickly. A lot of office workers from surrounding companies seem to come here to eat. If you want to be sure, you should reserve a table between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. I can't say what it's like in the evening. There are parking options a few hundred meters away, with street parking on Schellerdamm or in the Veritaskai parking garage.
