"U-Nautic" Restaurant & Pension in Waren (Müritz)

Hello, we were guests again yesterday for our wedding anniversary. When we made the reservation, we were asked why we were there. The table was appropriately decorated with nautical decor. Little touches like these bring a smile to your face. The food and service were fantastic. The food was amazing, and the waitress was always attentive but not intrusive. We would love to come back. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Super nice waitress and waiters. The food is, how can I describe it? For anyone who likes fish on their table, the "U-Nautic" is highly recommended. Thanks to the chef!!!!!! That was the review in 2024 ___________________________________________ And now in 2025 I can't tell you what the problem was. The waiter shows off his incompetence by asking five times whether the food is still tasty, and that's with a seasoned meat starter using a fish fork and soup spoon. I can live with that, I'll be ready for the main course faster. And please try the fried potatoes, they're absolutely unacceptable. We'll be back in 2026. And let's hope so.

We waited half an hour for the waiter to acknowledge us. An hour for our food. Everyone who arrived after us was served faster. The waiter's succinct response: "We only have one chef and they didn't have a reservation..." Such poor service at such high prices is unacceptable. If the waiter had explained it properly, we wouldn't have been so upset. We definitely won't be back.

Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty. It's all ready-made products, which you wouldn't expect in a restaurant like this. The "Parisian-style" chicken breast was completely oversalted and practically inedible. The vegetables tasted like a canned lecho. Unfortunately, I haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. The solyanka was ordered as a large portion as a main course and was accepted, but then the small appetizer arrived. The soup was also overseasoned and tasted like Maggi. E-substances weren't listed. Long wait. I wouldn't recommend the food.

The guesthouse rooms are okay and well-equipped. Unfortunately, there's no breakfast due to staffing issues! There are two bakeries nearby that serve breakfast. The restaurant is quaint and inviting, with excellent food and very friendly service.

Decorated in the style of a submarine, you feel transported into its maritime environment. A lot of effort has gone into creating this place, making you feel very comfortable and enjoying the culinary delights in a cozy atmosphere. The service is very friendly, the guest is king, and the food is delicious and exquisitely prepared. It's easy to come back. Dogs are also welcome here and are well integrated. Pre-booking is recommended.

Everything is very nice and clean. The service is very friendly and helpful, although a bit chaotic at times. The food was good; the pasta with tomato sauce on the children's menu doesn't state that it contains meat. That wasn't a disaster for us, but it should be stated. Overall, a good overall impression.

We went for coffee and something sweet. The waitresses were nice. The cappuccino was good, I rate the sweetness as satisfactory. I just didn't get the bill when paying. Since I'm a tourist, I don't know the local customs. In my country, they would give you a high fine for not presenting the bill. The restaurant itself was nice.

Positive: Reserved a table online, very good food Great atmosphere Negative: Absolutely overwhelmed service Table reserved, you can even state why you want to eat there. The reason was my birthday. Reserved a table at 6:00 PM. The two of us arrived on time. After 20 minutes, the waitress, who serves all the guests alone, finally came over to us and asked, "Would you like to order?" Yes, a menu wouldn't be bad! The table next to us helped us out with their menu. 50 minutes later, we ordered beer, wine, a game soup, and two fish dishes. The drinks arrived 15 minutes later, then... would you like to pay? Nope, we'd like to have the food we ordered. The soup arrived, but without a spoon. When I asked for another, they said yes, but that was it. After 10 minutes, I found myself a spoon!!!! Then the wrong food arrived; it belonged to the neighboring table. Our food arrived after 1 hour and 30 minutes. That, in turn, was really delicious. Kudos to the kitchen. The service, on the other hand, was uncoordinated, distracted, and overwhelmed. The chaos continued when we paid. The employee didn't know what we had; we listed everything, and then paid. I had imagined my birthday meal to be better, as the reviews said otherwise, at least the positive ones. Since the guests at the neighboring tables had the same experience, it wasn't an isolated incident. One server is not enough! Or simply reduce the number of guests. I would like to receive an answer from the operator/owner. I'm very reluctant to give only 1* But this was a real disappointment. Service can be better.

Well, not everything that glitters is gold... My reviews and experiences relate exclusively to the bar and the cocktails served. We didn't stay overnight or eat there. First, the positives: the decor and ambiance are absolutely cool and worth seeing. Great attention to detail has been paid here; you immediately feel like Captain Nemo... For this, it gets 5/5 stars. The location, second row from Lake Müritz, is also great, 4/5 stars. Now, unfortunately, comes the negative: the service. We were four adults and one child, and we ordered four non-alcoholic cocktails and a mojito. Wait? Yes! I can't remember how long, but it was definitely too long for an almost empty bar... The mojito, which is visually different from the non-alcoholic drinks alone, was served to the child. 🤦🏼‍♂️ After sorting the cocktails, we realized that the wrong drink had been made for the child. After we complained, nothing happened at first. After repeated requests, we were brought the correct drink. A replacement, we thought, because that's how we interpreted "you can keep the wrong one, I'll bring you the right one right away." (Unfortunately, only until after we had paid, we realized from the total amount that we had paid too much. Only after we complained did we get to see the receipt. It was clear from this that we had also been charged for the "correct" one. When we brought this up, we were told that with six empty glasses for five people, if everyone had a drink, everything would be fine. 🤔 When we mentioned the replacement drink, we were told that it would be difficult to cancel the receipt and whether we wouldn't rather have another drink as compensation. At that point we felt completely taken for a ride! We politely declined and left. Not that we would have to pay for that too... We felt ripped off and were annoyed. Even the cool location couldn't change that. Whether the whole thing was incompetence or a scam, who knows...

A beautiful day in Waren. I'm getting hungry. Outside, there's herring with fried potatoes on a board. A puddle on my tongue, and inside... And... We come from Thuringia; good food is part of our culture. Waren is in Thuringia, after all. That was a feast; I've never enjoyed such good food on vacation. The remoulade wasn't from a bucket for tourists who won't be back anyway. A feast for the palate with apples in that remoulade, slightly sweet with the tart herring. I'm lost for words. I actually came for the fried potatoes. I had a top-notch meal in a breathtaking setting. You now have a fan in Thuringia.

Far too many waiters were serving at one table. At times, one waiter didn't know who the other was. The wrong drinks arrived, and the wait for our food was extreme. Other tables got their food earlier even though they arrived later. We didn't like it at all. We probably won't go there again unless it's completely empty.

A completely different kind of dining experience...after an hour of waiting, our order was taken. Our appetizers outstripped our drinks, and we also received the drinks from the neighboring table. But the wait was worth it; the food was truly delicious. Paying our bill was once again a real adventure; if you don't know your basics, you don't pay for what you've eaten and drunk. Our conclusion: we've never had so much fun at a shared dinner, we were able to make new friends among the guests, and our visit to U-Natic ​​will certainly remain a humorous memory.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The order took forever, even though the restaurant wasn't full. The service was very slow and uncoordinated overall. The waitress's behavior was particularly unpleasant. I had the impression that, as foreign guests, we were treated differently than others – less friendly, almost dismissive. Whether this was a coincidence or not is hard to say, but it certainly left a very bad impression. A visit to a restaurant should be a pleasant experience – unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

If you have time and aren't hungry, you should visit the U-Nautic restaurant. Unfortunately, we can't rate the food because we never ordered anything. We got our drinks very quickly, but there was no service staff to be seen afterward. After 90 minutes without a food order being taken, we paid for our drinks and left the submarine...a real disappointment.

Good, home-style food. Very tasty and beautifully prepared. The ambiance is also very nice, with outdoor seating in the old town atmosphere. We've been coming here for years and will be back.

The food is incredibly delicious. But as for the service, which is simply overwhelmed by two women on a Saturday evening, one can only shake one's head. Thanks to late orders, it took an hour for the food to arrive. The dirty plates didn't last quite as long. They were on the table for "only" 50 minutes and were cleared away with the bill, which we had to wait 30 minutes for. It could have been because the staff was halved, as the younger lady had to eat herself instead of serving. And this in the public area. Conclusion: Sorry, but despite all the quality...never again!

Unterirdischer Service. Nach 20 Minuten am reservierten Tisch haben wir eindringlich um ein Getränk gebeten. Auch die Bestellung wurde spät aufgenommen. Nach 60 Minuten kamen die Speisen. Für ein zweites Getränk musste ich aufstehen und im Lokal eine Bedienung ansprechen. Wir wollten den Wein ja gerne zum Essen genießen. Diese Chaos ist der unqualifizierten Zuordnung geschuldet. Eigentlich ist das Ambiente recht ansprechend. Hier sieht man uns nie wieder!!!

Ambience actually 6 points, fantastic! Service was also very nice. But if the drink doesn't come until the starter soup has already been served, that's not exactly professional. And if you want to have the starter soup with the others as a main course and still have it as a starter, that's not professional, any restaurant can do that. And if you would like to order another drink and after about 10 minutes someone finally comes to order and then you get the drink when you have already finished the main course, that is not good service either, and so on

Very tasty food and very friendly service made our stay there very comfortable. The online bookings worked perfectly, even with the addition that we were coming with our little dog Egon, which was well accepted. A very cute restaurant where the children also love it! Lots to see and look at. The food is amazing, very tasty, prepared with a lot of love. Children and great-grandmother were thrilled. Unfortunately I can only give this 3 out of 5 stars. There are deductions for the fact that we were not informed about the applicable tourist tax or parking costs when booking. The room was very noisy, snoring neighbors for example. The floor creaked very loudly. And we didn't get the room we booked, but a different one. All that was given as compensation was a €10 consumption voucher. We thought that was cheeky. The restaurant was absolutely okay. The food was delicious and served quickly at the table. The service in the restaurant was also completely fine. We would come back to eat. Definitely not as hotel guests.

We were at the U-Nautic at the beginning of September. We liked it very much. We were there for lunch with 7 people. The service was great, as was the food. We have rarely experienced such friendly staff in a restaurant these days. It's great that there are still young people who still enjoy their job in the catering industry. Keep it up, it's definitely not the last time we'll be there.

Had dinner on Saturday evening. 5:00 p.m. ordered 5:10 p.m. on site. First announcement from the waitress. We are too late. No warm welcome. My wife wanted Labscaus. Was treated rather critically by the waitress. Her husband wouldn't eat it either. But if we really wanted to. By the way, it was absolutely delicious. I had steak ou four. Large portion, flavorful seasoned meat from the can. For the most part ok. PRICE very good. Our two children were taken care of very touchingly. All in all. OK. The price doesn't make it attractive. I wouldn't come back. Our demands are different, but the location of the restaurant is worth seeing. It was also very busy unlike others on the street. Good home cooking at decent prices. Nothing more, nothing less

This is worth the trip. Visited the U-Nautic Restaurant in Müritz. The service is so accommodating. The restaurant, designed as a submarine, is a feast for the eyes, you can't get enough of it. And now the most important thing of all is the food and drinks. Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy. If you want to eat quality food, you don't care about the price. But without reservation you have no chance. One call is enough

You had the feeling that as a guest you were an imposition and you should be happy if you were allowed to order something and not be thrown out of the restaurant. The u-nautic restaurant impresses not only with its unusual submarine-style furnishings, but also with excellent service and delicious food. The attentive and friendly service creates a pleasant atmosphere in which you feel completely at home. Particularly noteworthy are the fish soup, which tastes fresh and aromatic, as well as the Labskaus, which was wonderfully prepared. Both dishes were excellent and served quickly. The menu is typically northern German and offers a great selection for lovers of fish and regional dishes. I would definitely come back and fully recommend the restaurant - both for the ambience and the quality of the food.

Wir saßen zu fünft in der k Kapitänsmesse. Hatten Fischsuppe und rote Bete Carpaccio als Vorspeise danach Kräuter Matjes und den Zander. Alles war super lecker. Die Bedienungen waren kompetent, sehr freundlich, flott und zuvorkommend. Im nächsten Urlaub würden wir wiederkommen.

We had booked a table for 4 persons at 19.00. Got the food at 20.15. No apologies when we complained after one hour, just a comment that we orders 45 minutes ago… Food was ok but not great. In the end, they took 4,50 Eur off a bill of 122 Euros.

Nice restaurant in the middle of the Waren shopping mile. The service was good. The food was good but nothing exceptional. What's quite annoying is the apres ski music, which in my opinion doesn't fit the ambience. However, it is a matter of taste.

First of all: Review refers exclusively to the guesthouse Room: The captain's suite was booked. It is a room in the attic. What I really liked was that there was a children's bed free of charge. Despite the sloping ceiling, the room is spacious and there is even a bathtub! What wasn't so good? The attic apartment quickly turns into a boiler without ceiling fans. Not a problem during the day because you're out and about, but at night it's a problem, especially for children... There is an urgent need for improvement here. What would also be very helpful would be a mini fridge for drinks, medicines that require refrigeration or supplementary food for small children... Service: The staff are all originals (in a pleasant way). Overall very open-minded, helpful and understanding when it comes to small children. Room service is discreet and thorough. Location: The parking situation can prove to be difficult even if you have booked a parking space. Sometimes you are parked by the pension's own van, sometimes the parking space is occupied by others. However, after a short information, it is quickly “released” again. Access to the parking lot is also a bit challenging, but this is due to city restrictions. The following can be said about the situation itself: - Proximity to the center - Many places can be easily reached on foot Conclusion - very good value for money - open-minded employees - Equipment in the suite can be expanded - Parking situation is great Overall, still recommended.
