der Aufenthalt in diesem Lokal war insgesamt mehr als enttäuschend, die Getränke wurden erst nach 15Minuten serviert, das Essen wurde aufgenommen, aber wir mussten dann immer noch 60Minuten warten, ein Gericht war lauwarm und die Bratkartoffeln waren „verkokelt“, somit ging es retour und wir hatten leider kein gemeinsames Essen, zu allem Überfluss wurde uns in der Endrechnung eine Flasche Wasser in Rechnung gestellt, die wir nicht bestellt hatten, dieses Loksl ist sicher nicht zu empfehlen, eine Panne kann passieren, aber nicht in diesem Gesamtpaket!

Kleines, feines Restaurant mit Innenhof und 1. Etage Gute Speisenkarte. Große Speisen. Je nach dem, nach Senioren-Portion fragen Guter Service.

Das Restaurant ist sehr angenehm, schön und interessant eingerichtet. Die Bedienung ist äusserst freundlich Die Speisekarte enthält nicht sehr viele Menus, was ein Zeichen ist für eine gute Küche. Wir waren zu acht und alle ohne Ausnahme waren begeistert von der Kochkunst in diesem Lokal

This restaurant has become our favorite in Waren. We visited it three times. The food is very good and attractively served. Those who prefer a salad with their meal will be well served in the well-stocked "little meadow." The first floor is particularly quaint. On the ground floor, it can get a bit drafty when the entrance to the small beer garden is open (which we didn't use, though).

Highly recommended! Everything is just perfect here! Delicious food and ambiance, friendliness, and location right in the old town.

Just perfect. Nothing, nothing to complain about at all. Was there for the 4th time now. Super tasty, great staff. Dogs were also allowed in. Always worth a visit whenever I come by.

Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert, konnten aber im „Innenhof“ noch einen Platz ergattern. Dort ist es, wie im Restaurant selbst, total urig eingerichtet. Das Personal war freundlich aber sehr gestresst, kein Wunder, denn es gab leider zu wenig Mitarbeiter. Man sollte also etwas mehr Zeit einplanen, wenn man hier einkehren möchte. Wir hatten beide den Backfisch, der uns gut geschmeckt hat. Die Getränke waren auch gut, nur dauerte es und man musste wiederholt nachfragen. Wir würden, wenn wir mal wieder in Waren sind, nochmals hier speisen.

We went because of the good reviews, but unfortunately none of the 4 different dishes tasted really good. Had a bit of school camp food. We waited an hour for food and it was quite expensive. But the service was friendly.

Yummy! This is how I sum up the food at Alten Reusenhus. We were there with two families as part of our vacation and everyone enjoyed it very much. Even the kids were very happy, they are sometimes mercilessly honest. No matter whether fish or meat, everything is freshly prepared and attractively presented. The homemade garlic cream is whipped until fluffy, and the celery-carrot side dish also tastes particularly tasty. The Pilsner is freshly tapped and tastes delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The facility appears rustic, lovingly furnished and very comfortable. Toilets are a bit tight but very clean. I really enjoyed it and I can only recommend the Altes Reusenhus.

I haven't eaten such good fried potatoes with herring for a long time. The only drawback was that the toffees were a bit too salty. Probably because of the bacon and then extra salt. Otherwise really very good. We'd love to come back.

An old fishing restaurant with a wonderful ambience and a beautiful beer garden. The service was very friendly and attentive. There are great fish dishes. I can recommend the restaurant.

We got nice pink-roasted entrecote with fries, super delicious homemade avocado dip and various pickled vegetables. Really a good experience. In addition, the cozy courtyard was a good setting for the visit. Extra plus for neat and clean toilets.

Unfortunately not convinced. We came to the Reusenhus because of the good reviews. At lunchtime we were able to make a reservation for the evening, the restaurant was full. The tables that arrived after us received both drinks and food first. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost an hour for a starter platter and a fish stew, while the tables following us had already finished their main courses. Unfortunately, the appetizer platter didn't meet my personal taste at all. The Mediterranean vegetables were cut far too coarsely and thickly, the shrimp, the feta cheese cubes and the mussel salad were cold. The entire plate was cold, I didn't expect that. Two slices of baguette were served with it. The fish stew consisted mostly of vegetables - the name Reusenhus pot and the accompanying description had led one to expect otherwise. Unfortunately the taste was disappointing for €16.40. However, the main courses at the neighboring tables looked very well presented. Maybe we were just unlucky or our tastes are too peculiar.

There are still good restaurants in Waren 🤣really very good food where the eye can also eat...we were there with 7 people and everyone enjoyed it. Very nice service and fast service...we'll be back

I was there once 5 years ago and was very impressed. This time I was there with my parents and I was very excited again. Our waitress responded to special requests and questions in a friendly and competent manner. You can eat really tasty fish here. The decor is really a matter of taste, but I think it's great.

We had a delicious dinner there on Christmas Day. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and the wall paintings are funny, complemented by real accessories such as small nets. There is also an inner courtyard for warmer times.

Alleine der Vorspeisensalat "Kleine Wiese" war schon ein Hit! Frisch, knackig und äußerst fantasievoll mit tollem Süßsauer-Dressing hergerichtet. Auch der gebackene Barsch als Hauptspeise hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Ich habe dann mit der freundlichen Bedienung durch Christian nach einem Glas Apfelschorle das Alte Reusenhus sehr zufrieden verlassen, -auf ein nächstes Mal.

Das Essen war super lecker! Habe selten einen so guten Beilagensalat gegessen. Auch der Zander in Kürbiskruste auf Kartoffelpüree und Rahmwirsing sehr zu empfehlen. Unser Hund war auch willkommen Der Service von Christian sehr ruhig und umsichtig, obgleich alle Plätze belegt. Wir fanden es Mega und können es nur empfehlen.

Es hätte 5 Sterne gegeben, wenn es nicht "Afri Cola" zum trinken gegeben hätte. Das ist nicht nur die Meinung von mir, sondern auch von meinen Freundinnen. Afri Cola schmeckt scheußlich!! Ansonsten ist das Essen hervorragend. Sehr gut abgeschmeckt und lecker. Das Anrichten auf den Tellern sehr schön gemacht auch die Desserts - schöne Auswahl für die Weihnachtszeit.

The food was very tasty, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was rustic. The half-timbering was partly visible, which gave the whole thing a special charm.

My last visit to the Altes Reusenhus with my friend and her mother was a completely successful experience. The food was extremely tasty, the service was friendly, competent and accommodating. We particularly liked the attentiveness of the waitress, who made sure that we could eat together, even though my friend's mother had only ordered soup. The decoration of the restaurant was also very tasteful and created a pleasant atmosphere. I do have one small comment: the cola seemed slightly stale. For me it wasn't too bad, but it would be nice to pay attention to it next time. Unfortunately, no changes were possible for my dish, which I found a bit of a shame, but accepted - especially since the dish was really delicious. Thank you for the lovely evening – we’d love to come back!

An insider tip led us there. Absolutely recommended for anyone who likes to eat fish. Also very lovingly furnished rooms. Even fish sandwiches are sold outside.

Eat like God in France. The Alte Reuse seems to me to be a real insider tip for gourmets. The food was exquisite, both in taste and presentation. The starter 'Zum Tütteln' with smoked salmon and caramelized carrots - simply divine. The chicken fillet on potato salad 'Tramper' and the 'Ebbe&Flut' with sour meat were excellent. If you are in Waren, you should definitely go to the 'Alte Reuse'. In addition to excellent food, the service is very friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and the price-performance ratio is reasonable. Anyone who complains should first do better themselves.

Meine Frau und ich hatten uns spontan für ein Mittagessen im "Alte Reusenhus" entschieden, was sonst nicht zu unserer Routine gehört. Vom freundlichen und zügigen Service über die wirklich leckeren Speisen bis hin zur warmherzigen Verabschiedung - es hat alles gestimmt. Selbst ein recht einfaches Gericht, wie mein Knusperschnitzel an lauwarmen Kartoffelsalat, hatte das gewisse Extra. So knusperte die Panade ohne zu Bröseln und der Kartoffelsalat glänzte mit einer Geschmackskomposition aus fein herbem Senf, salzig-sauren Gurken und frisch-erdigen Kartoffeln. Die beiden Zanderfilets an Pellkartoffeln meiner Frau hätte ebenfalls nicht frischer und leckerer sein können. Auf dem Kräuterquark reizten getrocknete Kapern die hocherfreuten Geschmacksknospen - mal was anderes. Wir sagen Dankeschön für eine gelungene Mittagspause und freuen uns auf das nächste Wiedersehen.

My wife's two zander fillets with jacket potatoes couldn't have been fresher or tastier. Dried capers on the herb quark tantalized the delighted taste buds - something different. Service and atmosphere friendly and rustic. The food, however, was not very pleasant. Trout with lukewarm potato salad 🫣 Trout not crispy and dry. The potato salad consisted of thick potato/cucumber pieces with a sauce that took some getting used to and the “topping point” was blue-colored Spread popcorn over it 😱 the color then spread over the potato salad 😱 We hadn't ordered a children's plate or Smurf potato salad 😡

Wir waren zu zweit bereits im 19:50 Uhr nicht willkommen (geöffnet bis 21:00 Uhr) Nach einer Wartezeit im dunklen Eingangsbereich wurde uns unhöflich mitgeteilt, das im eher leeren Restaurant lediglich ein Tisch frei sei. Allerdings wurden wir freundlichst darauf hingewiesen das es dort immer furchtbar zieht… Wir haben verstanden und sind gegangen, über die Qualität des Essens können wir also nicht urteilen- wer weiß wofür es gut war.

Das Personal sehr freundlich und absolut Dienstleistungsorientiert. Großes Lob! Das Ambiente ist urgemütlich und stimmungsvoll. Die Speisen sind sowohl geschmacklich als auch optisch ein wahrer Genuss! Ich habe in meinem Leben schon viele Salate in Restaurants gegessen, aber der hier ganz einfach als „Beilagensalat“ bezeichnete Gaumenschmaus hat alles übertroffen! Für mich ganz klar eine 11 von 10 😉.

We had a very tasty dinner here. The restaurant with a beer garden and tables in front of the house is rustically furnished (you can't get enough of the many details). There was also very good fish, which was wonderfully prepared. My only request: leave out the blue colored popcorn as decoration - it doesn't go well with your great food ;o). It's definitely worth walking the few steps away from the harbor.

Unfortunately, the trout didn't taste particularly fresh, was dry and, like the other fish (zander and catfish), wasn't fried well. The service was fine. For the price and the many good reviews, we would have expected something better. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Were there for the second time, the food is really great...you have to forgive the service for its Mecklenburger kopp, also the boss...are from MV themselves, that's why We can, but it's probably not for everyone...still, the food was very tasty, and there was also blue popcorn as decoration, we would go again.

Wir haben uns auf Grund der guten Bewertungen zu einem Abendessen verleiten lassen....und wurden bitter enttäuscht. Das Restaurant ist personell völlig unterbesetzt... Personal ist ständig genervt und reserviert. Das erklärt vieles aber nicht Alles. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich, hat mitunter auch eine ziemlich seltsame Zusammenstellung. Völlig unerklärlich sind die seltsamen mit blauer Lebensmittelfarbe gefärbten Pop Korn die sich auf fast jedem Gericht befunden haben. Auch die Brotchips zum versalzenen Lachstatar sind schwer zu erklären. Fazit.... Lieber nicht noch einmal.

Tolles Ambiente im zweigeschossigen Lokal und im Garten. Kleine, aber feine Speisekarte mit regionalen Gerichten. Sehr zu empfehlen.
