Twenty Pho - Vietnamese Streetfood in München

There were two of us, and we ordered Bún Cá and Bún Bò Huế. Everything was very authentic and tasted just like in Vietnam. Friendly staff and fast service – I'd gladly come back.

The worst Southern Vietnamese beef noodle soup in the world is here. The chef sliced ​​the beef into huge pieces and stir-fried it with minimal heat, resulting in unevenly cooked and undercooked meat. The meat tasted awful and didn't resemble beef at all. Instead of the broth as described on the menu, they just poured the beef stir-fry sauce directly into the bowl. This made the dish neither like soup nor like regular noodle soup; it was watery and bland. In short, it was terrible. It didn't feel like authentic Southern Vietnamese beef noodle soup from my hometown. The image below is the restaurant's advertisement, but the actual dish is nothing like that 😅

I enjoyed everything there. The fodd was really delicious and fresh. Staff were super friendly and respectful. It was one of my best meals in Munich and I will return for sure whenever I'll be in Munich again!

Tonight I ate Vietnamese food for the first time. I was able to easily and quickly make a reservation at Twenty Pho via Google. I received a very friendly welcome. The service was very attentive. The restaurant is small but charming, with an attractive decor. The food tasted great, and the portions were generous. I'm only in Munich for a short time, but I will definitely eat here at least once more. Highly recommended!

One of the tastiest Phos I’ve had so far. The flavor and scent of the broth were spectacular. The waiter was super helpful as he’d explain all the different kinds of phos and meats used for them and even make suggestions to fit our taste. Highly recommend 💯

The meat was partially raw. The food had the consistency of a car tire. The McDonald's next door was also utterly disastrous.

I have rarely eaten so badly. The pho and the fried udon tasted like rubber tires – completely tasteless and with a strangely chewy texture. Some of the meat was still raw and definitely inedible. Overall, by far the worst meal I have ever been served. Of course, there was no tip. But the ambiance was nice.

Very poor service. We arrived and asked for a table, but were told there were none available. Shortly after, another group arrived and asked the same question – they were offered a table. This confused us and left us with a very unpleasant feeling. If reservations were involved, this should have been clearly communicated. Unfortunately, this made us feel unwelcome. Never again.

The beef was fresh and delicious, and they had different cuts to choose from, which was quite unique 👍🏻 I ordered the filet mignon, and the meat was incredibly tender.

The food is fantastic! We've tried so many restaurants in Munich by now, and (positive) surprises are rare, but here the food surprised and impressed us. The homemade chili sauce is highly addictive; I've never had anything like it! I had the glass noodles with beef, and they were incredibly delicious too. The service was phenomenal! Delicious food, but the portion size was rather small for the price; the prices on the website are incorrect, apparently they were increased at the turn of the year, but the online menu wasn't updated. This led to a slight price surprise when picking up the order. The udon noodles weren't fried as described, but boiled.

Very good meal. We got some Summerrollen as Vorspeise and then some Pho Soup. The soup was definetely a very big portion, but was very delicious. The service was also very fast, nice and polite.

Poor food quality: The soups were boneless, made with instant broth, little vegetable content, and lots of water; drafts upstairs, a smell of toilet cleaner downstairs, NO menu available, only a very confusing online menu, making food selection complicated and time-consuming.

We are Vietnamese Tourist and they're Vietnamese too. We travelled and take a taxi there to support for our hometown business. They are still open until now when I am writing this review. We walk in, the first guy is nicer than the other (I guess he is the owner). The first guy informed us that we have to wait, and we are willing to wait. The guy who I guessed the owner refuses to serve us when they are still opening. If you open a business you have to be aware to serve all of the customer when you are still opening. Or you refuse to serve us because we are the same your original country! Be aware to serve before you go all the way to come here. I am not sure how the food is but your customer service is bad!

Very popular, make reservations early. The food is beautifully served, and the price/performance ratio is reasonable. If you really want to eat your fill, go to a pizzeria or a restaurant. Here you'll find street food, a different smell, food, and a place to recount your vacation experiences. 👍🎸🍹

This may be an outlier, but the summer rolls were unfortunately a huge disappointment. Both the rolls themselves – a boring filling with lots of noodles, and besides shrimp and chicken, just green mango, no herbs, vegetables, or anything else – and the sauce – neither suited the roll nor had an interesting flavor. And for that, it was truly disproportionately expensive. However, the service was super friendly, and takeout was quickly ordered and prepared. Unfortunately, no photo for reference, as the rolls themselves looked rather uninspiring.

We called specifically and asked twice if we could specifically order dessert, and they said yes over the phone. When I came to pick up the food, they brought us appetizers and discussed it. Because they thought I wasn't Vietnamese, they even complained in Vietnamese that I had definitely ordered the appetizers. Then they quickly prepared the mango sticky rice. The mango was completely raw and the portion was small and unloved. And the entire experience was just not a very positive one. We were looking forward to it, and this made us very sad.

I tried Buncha here and it was phenomenal — great atmosphere as well. But when I paid, the server stayed at the table. I asked him what he wanted, and he pointed at the bill and told me verbally to give him a tip. I was stunned; I didn’t know tipping was mandatory in Germany. When I declined, he frowned and rushed away.

Small Vietnamese restaurant located right next to the Theresienstrasse subway station. The entire front of the restaurant can be opened, allowing for a good view both inside and out. This makes it airy in the summer. In addition to the ground floor, there are also seating areas downstairs. It's a bit quieter here than upstairs. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The menu is varied and the prices are reasonable. The service is good. All of our dishes were delicious. This was our first time here and we were thrilled.

I'm too lazy to write in Vietnamese. My boyfriend and I went to Munich to visit and stopped by the restaurant at 9pm. Although it was late, the restaurant was extremely hospitable, the staff were super enthusiastic, and asked a lot of questions. The food was also delicious, I ordered Hue beef noodle soup, and my boyfriend ordered red crab rice noodles, which was perfect. Ananas Minze and Mango were also super fragrant and fresh. Everyone, please visit the restaurant.

Delicious food and large portions at fair prices

Heavenly delicious!!!🤯 Well decorated, clean and friendly staff. My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Munich so far. We ordered Bánh bao, Bún bò Huế and Bún riêu. Bánh bao was tender. The dumpling and the stuffing(pork, mushroom, egg and glass noodle) were perfectly steamed. It's a light snack yet filling. The sauce was simply sweet chilli sauce. To me, the sauce can was a bit too strong and sweet. I would prefer a sauce that has sourness in it. Bún bò Huế is always my favorite dish to order from a Vietnamese restaurant and Twenty Pho has nailed this dish!! ✨ The broth was aromatic and rich in flavor with various herbs eg. lemongrass , cilantro and spring onion. The meat was juicy and tender. The rice vermicelli was well cooked. A squeeze of lime juice has elevated this dish to another level. Every time I order this dish from Twenty Pho, I feel warm and so much joy. It's a perfect soup for rainy days. To me, this dish is 11 out of 10.😋🤩 Bún riêu was my partner's order but I tried a bit. I love the toppings, especially the fried tofu and the fish ball. The crab meat was broken down into tiny pieces and I could not taste the texture of the crab so much. Overall, it's also a nice rich soup. The portion is quite generous but we managed to clean the bowls because the food was insanely delicious. 🥹🥹 The service is good. The staff are friendly and attentive. It took a bit long this time for our soups to be served (about 10 minutes after we finished the Bánh bao. It's still acceptable because the appetizer was served quickly. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The decorations combine nature (wood, bamboo, artificial plant) and culture (Buddha statue, basketry) and are presented in a modern style giving a warm, chill and welcoming vibe. 💯

I ate Bun Cha there 2 weeks ago. It was the most delicious and authentic one I have had in Munich. Today I came back. However, sadly they have changed the recipe and remove grilled minced pork patties. It is missing a point. Vietnamese bun cha must have both grilled pork belly slices and grilled minced pork patties. That's why 4 star for food.
