Twenty Pho - Vietnamese Streetfood in München

By far the worst delivered food I've ever had. The ramen was a tasteless, mushy lump with carelessly thrown in gray meat and coarse pieces of pepper - completely wrong. The spring rolls were soggy and rubbery, the pho greasy and lacking the typical ingredients that make them so special. Absolutely disappointing. Only the edamame weren't completely overcooked - but that's no feat either. High prices for poor quality. Bad combo ❌👎

We went there on Valentine's Day and it was 10/10! You got a rose and a balloon for free 🥰 The food was very good and the service was very, very friendly!! Definitely worth a visit!!

I came with my daughter to celebrate Valentine's Day, just for a light dinner. We shared soup, dim sam and bao ban with vegetables. As a vegan / vegetarian it was perfect! The service is kind and the atmosphere is welcoming.

The food here is simply fantastic! The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are prepared with a lot of love.

Great, delicious dishes. Cozy, atmospheric and stylish. The portions are huge. It's always very noisy. But there is floor 0, where it is quiet, calm and cozy, but you definitely need to reserve a table there. I recommend it.

We were all satisfied with our dishes and can particularly recommend the udon noodles.

The service is okay, but the food is very slow, very slow, really slow. The taste is just so-so, not up to expectations. My suggestion is that you can come here for dates and chats, and your level of serious dining is average.

The selection of vegan options is very limited, with only gyoza and dumplings clearly labeled as vegan in the menu. When I asked for vegan food, I was directed to the so-called vegetarian dishes, which are not even vegetarian as they contain fish (as indicated in the allergen information).

The best Asian restaurant in Munich I've been to so far. Great food, friendly,- fast service. Clean, cozy atmosphere.

Super richly spiced broth, nice vegetable to meet to noodle ratio, makes me want to come back and try the other dishes! Seems like the selection on the menu is quite large beyond what you'd see usually in Vietnamese restaurants here!

Today, 2:52 p.m. on January 5, 2025, I went to Twenty restaurant. I ordered pho for 15.99e. At the checkout, I gave 20e. Instead of the staff, you asked me how to eat? The staff asked me if I would give you a tip? It's not worth much, but you should talk back to your employee, make the other person unhappy, then take your 20e and leave, what a terrible experience and will never go to this restaurant again.

I was here yesterday with my friends. The food was high quality and freshly prepared. In terms of taste, we felt like we were sitting in Hanoi. Even my Vietnamese friend named Xhai Bu had high praise and that's saying something.

Ordered online and got food poisoning. No answer and no money back - it couldn't be worse. I don't recommend anyone ever eating or ordering here. Just disgusting.

Decidí cenar en este restaurante basado en sus críticas, pero desafortunadamente, mi experiencia fue decepcionante. Pedí un pho tradicional, que carecía de autenticidad. No había hojas de albahaca ni brotes de frijol, las rodajas de carne eran demasiado gruesas y el caldo era demasiado salado en lugar de sabroso. Aunque noté que a otros comensales se les servía agua, no me ofrecieron ninguna. El servicio cálido y amable mencionado por otros críticos estuvo ausente durante mi visita. Para empeorar las cosas, cuando pagaba, un hombre me pidió explícitamente propinas. Cuando me negué cortésmente, preguntó de nuevo, y después de mi segunda negativa, su comportamiento cambió notablemente. Este cambio de actitud fue desalentador, especialmente como turista que esperaba una hospitalidad acogedora. En general, la experiencia no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas.

Unfortunately that was nothing. The mango salad was ok. It could have been seasoned a little better. Unfortunately the bun wasn't good at all. The noodles were like soup and the tofu was very limp. Unfortunately, the taste was also very boring. It's a shame, but I won't be coming back.

Food was good, it was busy so lunchtime wasn't that quick. We waited a long time until the last person had their food. Be careful with allergies!!! I am gluten intolerant and have to say the menu needs to be read with caution! The allergens are not 100% correct. I chose a dish where you "can't go wrong" and tolerated it well... (I'm not ultra-sensitive) It was very tasty and the portion was good. I doubt that an employee can give correct information about allergens, so it's better to be on the safe side!

The Service was very quick. The atmosphere is comfortable. Food was ok. but considering the price it could have been better. Portion size is also ok for the price. I had the Fried Udon with Chicken and the Peanut Lenongrass Sauce. The udon and the sauce were tasty. The chicken was ok. The vegetables were also good.

One thing summarizes all: Excellent service and authentic Vietnamese food!

I had the Bún bò Huế. It tastes authentic and the staff is super nice. I'm certainly coming back to try other dishes.

A “nice” restaurant in the middle of Munich. They have an eclectic menu, but since they're called Twenty Pho, I obviously had to order the pho. You get a more classic northern pho, the broth is tasty. The beef, if you choose the classic option, is unfortunately a bit gristly and dry. No matter where I eat pho, I expect a plate of chilies and lime. Of course I asked for chilies but was given paojiao-like paste instead. Normally, northern Pho is also served with side sauces, chili and fish sauce or something similar, here too I had to specifically ask for sauces. All in all ok but for the price I expect more of the classic services from a Pho restaurant, because for the services you get here it is a bit expensive...

Excellent food with very attentive service!

The employees were super friendly and quick. Unfortunately the food (pho) just wasn't that good. The chicken was very dry and the broth was a bit too salty. We sat in the lower area, which smelled noticeably of the toilets.

I ordered food from the restaurant (2x pho soup with beef). The beef was super fatty and though. I ended up throwing away all of the beef (I still have the grease taste on my tongue).

Went here spontaneously and were very happy with it 😊 everyone was very nice and the food was really well cooked with fresh ingredients. We particularly liked the authentic dishes, which we have rarely or never seen anywhere else 😯

Went there on a Sunday for lunch. Friendly stuff, enough space even when crowded, and so far one of the best Pho in Munich. Sop has rich flavour and they also ask if you need anythin else for the soup. See you again in two weeks and I look forward trying ghe Bun Rieu!

Very tasty, but unfortunately a bit expensive.

I visited this restaurant hoping for a great bowl of pho, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. Paid 20 per person 🫠 👎The pho lacked flavour, had few ingredients in the broth, and the noodles were overcooked. Another noodle dish we tried had similar issues. Especially if you're asian, you'll be disappointed 👌On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and the location is convenient with a spacious dining area. For these reasons, I would give one star for the service and one star for the ambience.

Delicious Asian cuisine with good portions

Aawesome food, pho sho. I had bun bo bhue and the meat was so good and smoky and grilley. Wife had pho which was fragrant and tasty with wuality chicken. The homenade juices mango lassi and ananas were truly delicious and refeeshing. Such a good experience.

Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at "Twenty Pho" on Augustenstraße 83 in Munich, and it was an exceptional experience! The food was amazing, authentic, and full of incredible flavors. Every dish was fresh and perfectly balanced in spices, truly a delight. As Italians, we don’t speak German, so we communicated in English. Tuni, our waiter, was fantastic, he made the effort to speak in English and guided us in choosing the perfect dishes. His kindness and attentiveness made our evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend "Twenty Pho" to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food in Munich. We will definitely be back!

I am a student of Tum and have eaten here often. But today I was treated unfairly here. The waitress's attitude was very bad and she was discriminatory. 1. After ordering my food, I already went to the toilet downstairs, but the waitress rudely stopped me. She told me that going to the toilet was forbidden, but the person next to me went to the toilet normally. I was shocked and felt like I was being targeted. 2. I made it clear to the waiter that I wanted Pho tron ​​but what was served was MIÊN TRỘN (I'm pretty sure it was the waitress' problem and nothing to do with the chef. Because as I ordered, she asked me what I wanted, is MIÊN TRỘN? I said it three times, no, it is Phototron, and the picture I showed her is also Phototron. The difference between them is obvious.) 3. I explained that I was allergic to mango. You will be sent to the hospital if you don't eat mangoes. But the dish that was served still contained mangoes. And the mango allergen is not mentioned either in the menu pictures or in the list of ingredients. Overall I'm really disappointed. It's hard to imagine that I had so many problems with just one meal.

Good Vietnamese restaurant in passing. The food tasted good. I had beef soup. Very lush and well filled. Tasty and spicy. A basement with lots of tables. The restaurant is very cozy and clean. I'd love to come back.

I came to eat and had a bad experience with the staff here. She was dishonest by quoting a price that was higher than the actual invoice value. When I got home I found that my bill was only 71 Eu while she said it was 81 Eu. The boss of this restaurant should fire her.

Sehr empfehlenswertes vietnamesisches Street Food nahe U-Bahn Theresienstraße. Gerichte werden superfrisch im Wok zu bereitet, knackiges Gemüse, toll gewürzt. Freundliche Bedienung inklusive! Für die Qualität sehr faire Preise, kommen gerne wieder!

Was really good Pho! Big portions and still affordable price

I ordered a pho to take away and it gave me the worst kind of food poisoning... I've rarely felt this bad. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the store and would not visit again. The friendly service is of no use.

I ordered the Krabbeln Nudelnsuppe (from the daily specials) and I’m now at home with food poisoning..😫😫 To the kitchen: please check the status and quality of the fish (shrimps) you use for this soup as that may the reason! Not recommended unfortunately.

Mango lassi and fried beef in mango, add a banh bao and the day is saved. Super nice staff, the food came very quickly and tasted great. That wasn't the last time! We really liked it.

Crawling noodle soup was delicious and the portion was large. My ginger tea was good too. You can watch the workers in the open kitchen.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Twenty Pho Restaurant and I have to say it was an all around impressive experience. The authenticity of the food was simply amazing. Every dish we tried felt like it had been brought to us straight from the streets of Vietnam – full of flavor and lovingly prepared. The cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable, which is appreciated more than ever in this day and age. Not only were the hygiene standards high, but the interior design of the place was also beautiful. Designed with great attention to detail, it offered an inviting and pleasant atmosphere that invited you to linger. Added to this was the excellent service; the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. All in all, “Twenty Pho” is a restaurant that I can highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic dining experience combined with high cleanliness, beautiful ambience and first-class service.

Recommended: The Vietnamese mix is superb for the price of 15 euros. It's huge and definitely worth trying. Moderate: The Lychee Raspberry Mint Drink is refreshing, but avoid eating the fruit in the glass as it may not be enjoyable. The Summer Rolls are unique, although the sauce provided was unexpected - it's actually the sweet noodle sauce from the Peking Duck. Don't Recommend: While most bars have a blue swimming pool drink, theirs was green, suggesting a potential mix-up by the bartender. The cocktails ordered after the meal came very slowly, it took about 30 minutes for one to be served, really slow. Overall, it's okay for a quick meal, but if you're looking for high-quality cocktails, it's better to visit a professional bar.

Twenty Pho is one of the better Vietnamese Pho restaurants in Munich, located on Augustenstr. in the popular/ busy Maxvorstadt area. The restaurant has comfortable seating, adequately spaced with a quick and super friendly service. I ordered a Pho Soup with chicken (great broth and fresh ingredients) and a Gebratener Hühnerfleisch with Reis. Enjoyed the meal and highly recommend the place!

Service friendly, Pho Bo was good but not outstanding. Price is rather high, but that may also be due to the location. One point plus because the desire for “really spicy” was finally taken seriously :)

A good alternative for a delicious lunch in Maxvorstadt. Tasty Vietnamese dishes with a good selection of different dishes. In the lunch menu you can get the main courses between 10-13 euros. The portions are good! The waiting times are sometimes a little longer and the prices outside of the offers are a little higher. All in all, a recommendation 👍🏼

After more than 2 weeks touring Europe, I had to look for my Vietnamese flavors. Found this restaurant close by my hotel and I was ecstatic. Just by looking at the menu, I’d give it a 10 for variety and how beautiful the pictures look. It’s a nice little place. Feels cozy. Nicely decorated. I got Pho, Bun Bo Hue ( spicy beef noodles)and Bun Dau Mam Tom ( vermicelli noodles with veggies, shrimp paste sauce, pork belly and crispy fried tofu), Curry Udon, and Glass Noodles with shrimp and veggies. Everything was so delicious. Maybe to me at the time since I was craving Vietnamese food so much. I would have to say the Pho ( beef noodles soup) is probably the Northern style Pho, which Im not quite exactly customed to, but regardless, it was still good. A good bowl of hot beef soup is always good on cold days. Service was fast. Staff was friendly. Clean restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be back again whenever I am in town.
