Twens-Treff in Mainz

Absolutely perfect 👌 I strongly recommend.

We had two pieces of cake, one of which had a maggot in it. It was absolutely disgusting. We were offered two apple spritzers as compensation, which I find rude. No further apologies or anything. And at the end, when I didn't tip, they gave me strange looks. Who knows what else was in the food. At least we didn't have to pay for that one piece of cake...

I would have liked to give it 0 stars. We went there for dinner on October 19, 2025, based on the Google listing. When we arrived, there was a group of six people still standing in front of the restaurant. Together, we searched in vain for the entrance to the restaurant. In desperation, we decided to call to inquire. But then we got the succinct answer: We're closed, it's the end of the season. The "current" opening hours were listed online.

We had a great meal at the restaurant. The menu is small, but the dishes are delicious. We spent some lovely evenings at the bar. All the staff in the bar and restaurant are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, I've forgotten the name of the Irish bartender who made our stay so special.

The taste is 0 and it is very expensive. This money should not be paid in this restaurant.
