Tsang’s Kitchen Hong Kong Cuisine in Stuttgart

We ordered the steamed seabass, the meat was tender and tasty. The BBQ pork was a bit dry but the taste was good. The fried noodles with prawn was great as the noodles was stir fried and well mixed with soya sauce. In addition the fried rice noodles with beef was gorgeous ,it really reassembled the Hong Kong taste. We ordered take away for crispy duck, stewed fish head, stewed beef brisket and chicken hotpot with rice.

A good Chinese restaurant with good—but above all, very authentic—food! Unfortunately, not inexpensive.

I've been taken there twice now with various Chinese friends and colleagues. If the locals like it, it must be authentic cuisine 😋; they say Cantonese is the best in China! Super delicious, especially the duck, friendly staff, lovely ambiance, highly recommended!

Visited this restaurant many times during business trip. The taste is authentic and tastes like home.

I'd never been to this place before, and the parking space that convinced me to go was the parking. It's not big, but it's just enough for my five-meter-long car to maneuver. The menu wasn't anything special, but I casually asked the chef if they could make stir-fried beef kuey teow—I'd been dying to try it. The waiter was a bit embarrassed because they didn't have kuey teow, only hor fun. I told him I could ask the chef. As the waiter went to ask, I heard the chef from a distance, "Wet-fried, OK!" I was so excited. I was completely surprised by the chef's skill. The kuey teow was perfectly fried and the sauce was perfectly thickened. It had a nice wok-like aroma. While I wasn't a fan of the vegetables and the meat was a bit too tender, the flavor and texture were incredibly emotionally rewarding. The chef's homemade XO sauce elevated the hor fun even further. Thanks to this master chef, whom I never met.

We come here every now and then when we're in Stuttgart for Hong Kong-style dishes, where such great tastes and dishes are normally only available in big cities like Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, etc. You won't find them anywhere near Stuttgart. But here at Tsang Kitchen, the food tastes just like Hong Kong. We always come to this restaurant when we're here in Stuttgart and nowhere else to eat at Chinese restaurants. Keep it up. Reasonable quality to satisfy asian food cravings

Finding this gem near my hotel in Germany was like stumbling upon an oasis. Every dish, from the tender, lacquered duck that shatters with flavor—its crisp skin and succulent meat a revelation that stings with regret for not knowing it sooner—to the perfectly balanced stir-fried noodles, carries the weight of homecoming. The staff’s warmth wraps around you like a familiar embrace; the owner, with a quiet kindness, charges strangers’ phones and offers water to their dogs without a second thought. It’s a place where humanity and hospitality collide, where a simple meal becomes a salve for years of longing. I’m torn—part of me wants to keep Tsang’s Kitchen a secret, a sanctuary where I can savor every bite in peace. Yet, I ache for their success, for the world to taste what I’ve found, to ensure they thrive and perhaps open another haven. Each dish is a promise: you’ll leave fuller in heart and soul, haunted by flavors that linger like a memory you can’t shake.

The boss is very nice and the roast duck is delicious

This place is huge, very modern-looking, and clean. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We're definitely coming back!

We were there at the end of March with 7 people to pick up some food. We waited at the door for quite a long time until everything was ready. The food was quite expensive - glass noodles with zucchini for around €15, but those are probably restaurant prices. When we got home, we discovered that a meal that we had paid for but hadn't received was missing. One of us then went back to pick it up and had to wait again. It can happen, but I would have found a small compensation somehow nice. The food was ok so far, we ordered different things and shared them. The fried rice and the glass noodles were actually rather bland, the sauces were quite good. Unfortunately, most of the people in our group didn't feel well at all shortly after the meal until the next two days. But at a restaurant in this price range you might expect that they would work in such a way that you don't get food poisoning. Therefore, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

I really enjoy eating at Tsang’s when I have time to relax. The food is excellent and the restaurant has a charming Mom & Pop vibe. When I'm in a hurry, I usually get my order to-go, and they use great no-spill containers, which makes it super convenient. Tsang’s is also a nice spot for a casual date night. Just make sure your table has a clear view of the server, as it can get pretty busy and you might need to wave him down when it’s time for the bill. Overall, it's a great place with delicious food and a nice atmosphere.

It was very crowded and loud that evening. But 'duck' tasted very good!

The food we had (roasted duck with vegetables and rice) was quite tasty, but nothing special. But our companion's dish wasn't that good. The menu wasn't really well structured. The dishes, whether vegan or meat dishes, were somehow mixed up and you really had to read and search for a long time before you realized that there was a vegetarian dish. We weren't thrilled.

I was there today. Without greeting or any question, the person simply said: “We don’t have a table.” The behavior was really strange - I wasn't even allowed to say anything. No hello, no goodbye, just the one word. It was a really bad feeling.

I lived in China for 10 years and can say that the food is really super authentic. Not necessarily Hong Kong cuisine but a colorful mix of popular Chinese dishes. The prices are sometimes a bit more expensive (I find 15 euros for eggs with tomatoes really astronomical, it's a really basic dish that you can get in every restaurant in China for 1-2 euros). I recommend going with at least four people and ordering at least 5 dishes and also sharing typical Chinese dishes, then you can really try things out. Particularly recommended are: duck, eggplant with meat, cucumber salad and pasta with beef. Please don't go there and order your own dish in typical German style. 🫣 Service was sometimes a bit slow but very friendly and helpful.

Not recommended! ! ! ! Very bad attitude, forced to charge extra and extra tips. Since it is a group dinner, everyone ends up paying an equal share of the price. After I added a tip of 2 euros (5%), the boss entered the price including the tip into the credit card machine and walked away in a hurry. But the machine showed an interface where I needed to select an extra tip, so I couldn't swipe my card. I could only swipe my card after selecting an additional 5% tip. I ended up tipping 10%, of which 5% is mandatory! During this period, the landlady kept yelling that we Chinese were leading foreigners to bad behavior! ! ! ! I don't object to tipping, but having to tip extra again is really over the top. And it really has no logic at all to attribute their dissatisfaction with certain foreigners to the Chinese. I hope everyone will pay attention when checking out! ! !

Authentic and fresh Cantonese food. Staff was friendly and service was fast. The restaurant was recently remodeled so the atmosphere was nice too!

Homemade chili sauce is delicious! recommend.

Rude, waited 2 hours - were not served. It wasn't even full. We only got our food shortly before the end, after we asked for the third time. The woman didn't know how to work the cash register. The food wasn't anything special either.

Decent food, great atmosphere, painfully slow service, and average prices. To start, the spicy soup was excellent. As for my entree, the chicken with vegetables was scant on the chicken and generous with the vegetables. (What appears to be chicken in the picture is primarily bamboo shoots. There was also an abundance of mushrooms.) Although my doctor would certainly approve of this dietary change for me I do not approve.

Plain objective assessment: 1. Service was a little slow😔. We waited for our food (from order completion to serving) for ~40+ minutes, and the restaurant was at ~60% capacity. 🤏 2. There was a broken glass spread under our table/on the floor that we noticed after the food arrived. They cleaned it right away 👍 3. We asked about the portion size for each dish, and she said 1-person serving size. It is actually 2 persons serving with Rice. Something to note when ordering.🫡 4. Price $$/dish (EU 15- 20 average). 😇 On a positive note, the food is good, and it's good to see a family-run business.👍 Hope this helps and you try their food. 🙏😇

Super tasty and authentic. We were very impressed with the chili oil that we also received, but also with the dishes in general. We will definitely go there again!

We were there on a Saturday evening (mid-December 2024) from 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was mediocrely occupied. The service and staff were somehow one person too few. We had to wait a bit but that can happen anywhere. I had a sour and spicy soup and chili pepper chicken thingy. I don't know any "real" Chinese cuisine, but I like spicier food and can say that if something is "spicy" as stated or logically included (e.g. chili), then it is really spicy. In terms of taste, it differed from the usual glutamate temples. Just in the quality of my soup. You are expected to write down your order on a note, which we didn't know at first. The menu is quite meat-heavy, especially beef. Vegetarian options were rather limited. There are also things like chicken feet (not tried). You regularly see Asians eating there, which probably speaks for the chef and the menu. Paying by card is possible without any problems. If necessary, you can choose a tip during the payment process using a button. We liked it and will most likely go back and try other things.

This place is the best Chinese in Vaihingen!

A restaurant like this cannot be served by two people who are in the kitchen and in the dining room at the same time. Waited over 1.5 hours and then only half was served to the table, the rest was probably forgotten 🧐. Many guests were simply annoyed and dirty. The restaurant is always full at all times but now I understand why, everyone is sitting and waiting. The food is delicious but you can't enjoy it anymore. Too bad! Unfortunately, if you save on service staff, you have to read such reviews.

We really liked it. Not just the usual "Germanized" dishes, as far as I can tell. Portions generous. Ambience rather simple, but completely OK. Clean, tidy and well maintained. Guests, at least when we were there, quite a few Asians, I think that also speaks for the restaurant. What we saw "too late", it has free parking behind the house.

Great variety of dishes. I had the Wan Tan soup and the Grilled pork Hongkong style. Very tasty. Service was efficient and fast.

I was dying to try this place as I’ve seen it from passing it with the bus so many times. Today I finally got the chance. Everything was gorgeous. Lunch time was not very busy so I was able to sit down without reserving a table. The host was lovely, super attentive and the food was brought in right away. Everything tastes great. I love their hot and sour soup, it’s very full and delicious. The cucumber salad was fresh, crunchy, and slightly spicy. But the main dish, the HK duck was out of this world. Juicy, super crispy skin, rich sauce. I didn’t even want rice, all I wanted was to savor the meat. I’ll definitely return.

The best Chinese food in Stuttgart. Everything is freshly prepared and well seasoned to include their seafood dishes.

I ordered ribs with rice and was totally disappointed! The ribs were very tough and the quantity was also very manageable - I don't have to have them again.

I ate a superb "fried rice with giant prawns" in Tsang's Kitchen. Others I know have also had very good experiences at Tsang' Kitchen.

Our go-to Chinese restaurant for dining in or getting takeaway. They haven’t let me down! I’ve ordered the chicken fried rice a few times and I add a little bit of some spicy garlic topping that’s provided and it’s so good. We’ve also tried some sweet and sour items, also delicious! Menu attached is current as of August 2024. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Delicious food, great take away in sealed containers that keep the food fresh and warm. Enough food in one of those containers for two people.

The owner was incredibly nice but the food sits on the mid side. We tried sweet and sour pork but it was not properly fried at all, the meat was incredibly dry and chewy. The duck was also good but not the price good and the fried water vegetable lacked flavor.

The food was stellar. I had the Yangzhou fried rice (59) and the chicken feet (15). Both were great, and felt super authentic.

The food tastes good. The Peking soup was also delicious but way too spicy for my taste! Unfortunately, the spiciness hits the stomach. The ambience is great! The service is also very good and asks if you would like anything else and if everything is OK. I like that. I'd love to come back

This is a nice local place serving good Hong Kong style food. The pork belly and especially the fried duck were delicious. The duck comes with a sauce that I believe is made up of the drippings during preparation, and it's delicious to pour that over the rice while you're eating the meat. I'll definitely be back to try the noodles, because they looked amazing. Also, the staff was very polite and served the food quickly.

Sweet and sour pork tastes like Korean sweet and sour pork with Sichuan sweet and sour sauce! The mapo tofu has a slightly spicy taste but is delicious. It's closer to the spicy taste of Hong Kong than the taste of China.
