TRUDE in Hamburg

Yesterday we had breakfast at Trude on Saturday. We really liked it, small, fine selection of dishes. We all enjoyed it very much. What we noticed very positively was that the staff were very, very friendly and attentive. And overall there is a positive, happy, friendly, fun atmosphere in the team. What we really liked...it's nice that something like this still exists these days, please stay as you are...and best regards to Vesta and her colleague who was just as sweet...thank you for the lovely morning

Large restaurant with a beautiful outdoor terrace and nice staff. Easily accessible by train, bike and car. Food delicious.

The food was okay, but relatively overpriced. The premises were very noisy, so it was very difficult to hear our friends. The staff seemed understaffed as unfortunately the service wasn't good. A children's chair was only brought to us upon request, but it was also very greasy, the cutlery was thrown onto the table because we didn't have enough on the table and the service lady talked to us as we walked past, which unfortunately meant we couldn't understand everything. Some of the soap in the bathroom was empty. The food was okay, but nothing special. Next time we would rather go somewhere else or eat at home.

We were there for Easter brunch on Sunday. The buffet was rich and very, very tasty. The atmosphere was unique. The old charm of the factory building is largely preserved. The service staff is very friendly and you can even have a little conversation with them. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere in Trude is incredibly beautiful, you can sit inside and outside. The staff is on point and we were able to laugh together on many days and felt very comfortable. The food is quite good, but not exceptional.

A good location to eat or have a drink with friends. It's very loud and mediocrely comfortable there, but if you want to be there you have to suffer ;) The staff is friendly and tries to be polite. Unfortunately, their stress levels are reflected in the hectic pace. Nevertheless, the visit is recommended.

Very nice location with friendly staff. Food is delicious but unfortunately the prices are a bit high for the food you get. The quality is good and the portions are not small, but the price still feels a bit too high. All in all a very positive experience.

The food is good, but the portions are tiny. I ate fries that cost over €11—and that was less than what we had at the swimming pool. The schnitzel and ribs were also rather meager. In short, we ordered pizza at the hotel to fill us up.

I went to TRUDE this evening with a very good friend and it was outstanding! The food and drinks were indescribably delicious. Our service fairy Katherina was super personable and made the evening perfect. We will definitely come back and were thrilled, especially because everyone was so incredibly friendly and authentic. Absolutely recommended.

The food is of good quality. The furnishings are harmonious and pleasing. Criticism: It is extremely loud there. You have to accept that.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant again today and were not disappointed again. We were warmly greeted at the entrance and shown to a seat and then had super friendly and quick service with nice advice. We had coffee crema and brownie with vanilla ice cream, which was recommended to us. It tasted excellent. We then had the opportunity to try baked waffles with various ingredients (van ice cream, vegan ice cream, applesauce, red fruit jelly, vanilla sauce) in preparation for a photo shoot. Everything was very excellent, only the quantity of the R. grits was too much. In summary, we would like to say that we will be happy to come back when we visit Hamburg again from Saxony (Dresden). Thank you very much!

Unfortunately my experience today wasn't the best. Breakfast buffet was manageable but sufficient for me personally. Priced at the limit. I am aware that the price is determined by several factors. As a customer you come into contact with the factors of service, cleanliness and product availability. But these should then vote. Service: I found that some of the employees weren't that attentive. Some others then ironed it out again. When we paid, we were charged the amount of the guests who had previously sat at the table. However, this only became apparent when I requested the invoice after paying. The difference was then refunded. Cleanliness: Really good in many areas with the volume of customer throughput. Coffee was served in a dirty cup. Lipstick from a predecessor. :/ Availability of goods: Was always given at the buffet. However, if you book the O-juice flat rate, it should also be available until the end of the breakfast buffet. At 1:30 p.m. there was no orange left on the press. Too bad

Actually quite good except for the acoustics. In my opinion, the prices are expensive for a breakfast buffet at €16.90 without coffee☕️. The heyleit are the prices for waffles €8.50 for a waffle from shameful. There were supposed to be waffles from 12 p.m., but after asking several times we were told that they wouldn't be available, for what reasons we weren't told. We wouldn't have taken it anyway at that price. Play corner for children is absolutely missing. The sanitary facilities urgently need to be replaced.

I've been there for dinner before and it was tasty too. Unfortunately, this restaurant has an extremely loud noise level that makes it almost impossible to have a conversation in a normal voice. We changed our mind at short notice and just left!!

I am quite willing to pay a reasonable price for high quality food. In this restaurant, however, the quality of the food did not correspond to the price level charged. The burger was sparsely topped - there was only room for a small piece of onion and a little lettuce. The bun seemed dry and old, which significantly reduced the enjoyment. Only the taste of the meat was acceptable, but unfortunately it was also far too dry. Although the side dishes were satisfactory, they did not enhance the overall experience. The friendly staff, whose service was quite pleasant, should be highlighted positively. Nevertheless, it remains to be noted that the price-performance ratio is not justified. If the prices were more moderate, you could think about visiting again. In its current form, however, I find the offer to be inappropriate and not recommended at all.

The menu says that the bread was homemade, so we would have a problem. Ready-made bread is fresher! L.G

One of my favorite restaurants in Barmbek. I like the atmosphere. When it's busy, which it often is, it can get louder. Nevertheless, the food is great, the service is always super friendly and accommodating and the location is great anyway. 👍🏻

Booked Sunday brunch for 6 people. This all went smoothly too. Then when we arrived, we had a super friendly reception, the staff was really nice. Brunch, however, was subpar. I'll now come to this: the selection was quite disappointing for us as every normal breakfast buffet on holiday is much tastier and more extensive, even abroad. What was offered was bland and tasteless. For the most part, there was no labeling about what it was about. Example: a spread looked like Mett but it could also have been tuna and the taste was indefinable. I had the feeling that the buffet was largely designed for veggies. The only spicy thing was the small Nuremberg sausages. Sorry but all of us were disappointed with the taste. The "Scrambled eggs" were as watery as a cream soup, the salad was not chopped but rather in large pieces on the buffet plates. What was also a shame was that it didn't even include the simple filter coffee for brunch for €20.90 per person. A pot costs 9.90 and at the end the CUP of filter coffee costs another 2.20€ - expensive fun for a bland brunch experience. That's better, we've already had brunch elsewhere. However, I have to praise the ambience and also the staff, they were great 👍🏼

We were three girls. Had great service. Sura was great. Great exchange, very appreciative when it's more than just about picking up the orders. There was also a small challenge with a complaint, which I think was taken care of by the boss and was also very attentive and a good solution. By the way, it is also recommended for birthdays, because there is a little surprise waiting for the birthday child. Important to know, the restaurant is in a perceived industrial style - therefore spacious and higher noise levels. You should like this.

Went there spontaneously for lunch - it was delicious and quick. The own beers are certainly great too and will be tried next time 😉

For me, Trude is simply THE meeting place in Hamburg - great food, great ambience and extremely competent and friendly staff. Everything is barrier-free. Oh yes - the walk to the toilet alone is worth a visit! - Why? Come and see for yourself ;-)

Very interesting building. When it's full, there's quite a bit of background noise, which irritated us at first, but then it wasn't a big deal. We were still able to have a good chat. The food and drinks were all delicious and beautifully presented. Due to the full house, we had to wait a little longer for our food. The extremely friendly waitresses immediately made our slight displeasure disappear. Highly recommended - urgently reserve a table online in advance

Well, the food felt better. Hamburg panfish with 3x micro pieces of the same type of fish. The group was promised the fireplace room when making the reservation. In fact, we were sitting in the very loud main restaurant. Lightblows of the very nice waiter.

The restaurant is easy to reach, whether by car, train, bike or on foot. The service was always attentive, but due to the size of the restaurant, drinks and food took a little longer. Otherwise the look has something of a Hofbräuhaus and is very cozy. I had the tarte flambée “the bitchy” which I was very happy with. My friend had the burger, which unfortunately had no cheese, was already cold and the price was over 20 euros. In addition, you had to pay extra for every little thing. So in my opinion you should go eat the burger somewhere else, but otherwise it was very tasty, including the drinks! There is a happy hour, a big plus. All in all, you can do it. In summer it is even more beautiful with the outdoor area.

pleasant location. We dined there with a group of almost 20 people. They had their own area, which was nice so you could talk undisturbed. Unfortunately, we all found the food to be very mediocre. Most of the fries were left behind because they weren't crispy enough. I had the pan fish. It looked nicely prepared, but the fish was very rubbery. Probably pangasius, tilapia etc. That works better. Unfortunately, the pan fish sauce didn't come into its own either. Some of the group had burgers. Unfortunately, they weren't supposed to be that good either. The meat was said to be tough. Shame on his As a restaurant business, we would all have expected better quality in the choice of products. Otherwise it was good to sit there. As a group, we unanimously do not recommend eating there. Too bad.

Today my wife's baby shower was celebrated here in TRUDE. The service was very courteous, the food was delicious and the space was appealing. Thanks to TRUDE, the event was a great success. A big thank you to the TRUDE team. Ps.: I've been enjoying coming here for years :)

I went on a Saturday morning for brunch. Unlimited fresh squeezed orange juice. Vegan selection and a whole bunch of delicious cold cuts.

Service was friendly if inexperienced. The food didn't convince us, unfortunately the burger buns were hard.

For several years there has been a new attempt to use the lunch break for a snack. Ordered cheese spaetzle from the lunch menu for €9.90. The friendly waiter brought them quickly, perhaps too quickly: only lukewarm, fried onions for example. Partly burnt, very clear portion, no side salad. I was served and had the dish returned. No more time or desire for a second attempt. Too bad! Things looked much better on the next visit. This time I was there with colleagues and wanted to give the restaurant a chance. That was worth it. The young waiter listened to my complaint about the bad food last time. apologized, but at the same time defended the kitchen a bit. Completely okay and confident. The vegetarian “Backvisch” for €9.00 was quite tasty, the warm potato salad even more so and the price-performance ratio was perfect.

It was super delicious and Sura was soooo nice!! A successful evening with great food and well-mixed cocktails.

We went to Advent brunch. The buffet was okay but nothing special. The location is a little noisy due to the open space.

The New Year's celebration in Trude was very well organized and festively decorated. The service was friendly and we had a nice table for the three of us right by the window. The only point deducted is for the music, because it was a bit unusual and really old, especially since the music stopped twice... A bit too much pop music for my taste, as I didn't want to party in the alpine hut. The alcoholic drinks, especially the cocktails, were a bit overpriced in my opinion (0.3L cocktail Sex on the Beach for €9.90 is a bit much, it could be at least 0.5L in my opinion). Otherwise it was a great party, fast service and the Prosecco and Berliner at midnight were great too. The Berliners were fresh. The selection of food was also great, different salads from couscous to fish and meat, everything was there. Large and delicious selection of desserts. After 10 p.m. the food was removed and the dance floor was created there for the rest of the evening. I also thought the photo box for the free pictures was great! Gladly again

Despite the large number of guests, the service was quick and you never had to wait long. There was even a waffle stand where the waffles were freshly made. Our waiter Ben was in such a good mood and it was just a positive service experience. At 00:00 there was sparkling wine and a Berlin selection for everyone. We would come again.

We and our friends really enjoyed yesterday's New Year's Eve party! The buffet was varied and plentiful and the ice cream bombs at the end were simply great. This also applies to the midnight sparkling wine and “Berliner”. The DJ always had the right touch and you could hardly leave the dance floor. Photo shooting in the Box for Free provided variety and fun. What was particularly special was the performance of the service staff - there were a lot of them, the tables were cleared quickly, everyone had a smile on their faces and "lived the service spirit". In my opinion, the New Year's Eve celebration 2024/25 was a complete success. I and my friends really liked the overall offer (group of 16 people). The buffet is very varied. There was a lot of dancing. A good mix. Relax and watch the fireworks outside at midnight. I've been to Trude several times before and have never been disappointed

We made reservations for thirteen people on December 29th. It wasn't particularly crowded. However, we had to wait more than half an hour for our food, with two meals being completely forgotten. Unfortunately, my burger and the fries I ordered with it were only lukewarm, which also applied to our guests' tarte flambées. Unfortunately, the drinks we ordered were not served until the end. The staff seemed overwhelmed. Maybe we just had a bad day. But based on our experience, unfortunately not recommended.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. The area is quite large and service is quick. We were there with a group of about 12 people and unfortunately the food was served very differently. Half were almost finished eating and then the other half was served. Exactly the same with dessert. Everything tasted good but not outstanding.

Went for brunch. Very loud, very narrow. If you like a big indoor atmosphere, this is the place for you. The food is average, tastes good, but nothing special. Price/performance isn't really right. Service was very nice and attentive.

I have enjoyed coming here for many years. Today on Boxing Day it was another successful evening with good food, good service and the special "T.R.U.D.E." Flair. Thanks to the team for a lovely evening with you. We'd love to come back. :-)

Contrary to expectations, we were quite disappointed. They really didn't make any effort to celebrate our big birthday. The waitress just wanted to deal with us and was incredibly unfriendly and in a bad mood the whole evening. We received plates with greasy marks and meat that was far too dry. Above all, we were annoyed by the manner and tone of the service. I can't recommend the store. There are much better restaurants in the area.

The place is actually very nice, but I personally can't like the location. It's very loud and difficult to have a conversation. You sit very closely at the tables. Food and drinks take a very, very long time. It doesn't help if the staff is nice.

The shop itself has a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed, even with the store half full. Nothing wild. Ordered several times to be delivered, sometimes waited 30 minutes for a simple glass of wine or Fanta.

We were there with a larger group. Almost everything went right. It was good. There was a buffet. Unfortunately there were no rugs or spoons in front of the salads to fill them up with. This didn't work even after repeated requests There was fuel paste twice under each food container. Only one was ever on, so the food got cold quickly. Otherwise it is generally always nice and recommended.

Looking for a restaurant with gluten-free options, we went to the TRUDE restaurant. Great atmosphere, delicious food and super friendly staff. A very special thank you goes to Leoni, who completely rounded off our visit with her fresh and very friendly manner. We will definitely come back when we are in Hamburg again.

Visually a very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, this could not be confirmed either in the service or in the food. The tomato soup tasted like pureed tomatoes with pepper. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and the schnitzel with fried potatoes wasn't highly recommended either. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were anything but fried. Unfortunately a bit too finished and more of a consistency of boiled potatoes in slices. The service was tried, but not very high quality. When even the service staff stands next to the customer and speaks badly about the chaos of the restaurant, I think that says it all. It's a shame, because you could get a lot out of this. The location and the location are... very nice. All in all, we were unfortunately very disappointed and will most likely not come back.
