The soup had gone sour. The filet steak was full of tendons. The schnitzel was slightly burnt. The service was not that nice and upon us returning the sour soup just said "I won't bring another. It's not good.'

The service here was very good, I really appreciated how nice and attentive everyone was. The food however, was not very good at all. My steak was not only undercooked (I asked for medium rare and got rare), there was a huge piece of fat in it , making one whole section tough, stringy, and inedible. The spinach was also terrible, it tasted like it came out of a can. Even though the people working here are very polite and professional, I won't be back.

1.50 for a glass of lukewarm tap water is quite cheeky. At the CSD then sell cups of ice cubes for 2.50 and then make people look stupid when they want to go to the toilet. Shame on you!

My husband and I regularly went to Trollinger to eat and drink, because everything from drinking to sitting beautifully right on Lake Feur was perfect. Now I recommended the shop for our dinner with colleagues because we always had great experiences there. The surprise was even greater when we were greeted straight away because we had reserved the table for 9 to 12 colleagues. And something like that probably wouldn't work. The tables outside were half full and there were only a few guests inside. The first beer took 45 minutes to arrive and of course it was by no means cold. There was no excuse for that. Instead, the next beer came half an hour later. Although there were technical problems when ordering the food and we couldn't order for ages, we were patient and understanding. Now the food was of incredibly poor quality. The steak was tough, inedible and by "medium" I mean something different. And as if the experience wasn't enough, at the end we were insulted in the most outrageous way by our waiter because we didn't go in to pay straight away, but 15 minutes later. So we should have left our drinks unfinished. The other waiters joined in the insults. What was most shocking to me was that when we tried to describe the whole situation from the evening, the waiters and waitresses were not at all sympathetic and continued to insult us. It's really a shame how the service and food in the restaurant have changed! I hope that with this review I can spare other guests this experience. Luckily, there are other nice restaurants on Lake Feursee.

Expensive! I had a Wirtshausschnitzel (1 piece of breaded pork) with fries for €18.70, service not very friendly. Geese moved onto the sidewalk 3m away, but no one moved away. No recommendation!

We had dinner and cocktails with work colleagues. All senior civil servants between 30 and 45 years old who know how to behave. The shop was completely empty inside. Half full outside. When we were greeted, we were asked why we had made a reservation for 12 people but only came for 9 people. The other three colleagues came later. The first round of drinks took 45 minutes! That's exactly how it went through the evening. To eat: the steak was tough and stringy, the salad with burnt beef tips. The beer arrived partly warm. Finally came the hammer: At around 11 p.m. a waiter came and said that if you wanted to pay by card you had to do so inside. Ok, we took that as information and not as an invitation to leave. When we were still sitting there 15 minutes later with our drinks full, another waiter suddenly stormed out and shouted at us whether we were too stupid to obey his colleague and why we didn't go in to pay, he had probably already said it three times . Inside, his yelling and moaning continued until everyone had paid. He shouted after me: “…if she shouldn’t give a tip, I don’t give a damn” while I was still in the shop! I have never experienced such outrageous and disrespectful treatment anywhere in my entire life, not in Germany or abroad. We will never enter this store again and advise everyone not to.

I've been eating here for a few years and I have to say that the service and the food are just bad. I would recommend the steak house in town or McDonald's to everyone. Service is a big big 0.0 because every Chinese Afghan or Indian can do more *

We sat outside near a small lake. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was very cozy for an afternoon (not a hectic atmosphere like some other breweries). The portions were sufficient (schnitzel with fries - normal portion size) (Swabian plate - really very decent) The waitresses (2 young women) were very friendly and always attentive.

I was very pleased. The steak was cooked exactly the way I like it.

Die sehr netten Bedienungen waren überfordert und schlecht organisiert, aber wirklich sehr nett. Das Essen kannte ich von früher - in meiner Erinnerung war das Steak sehr gut. Heute gibt es noch den guten Holzkohlengrill, aber das Fleisch erscheint mir von der Qualität sehr deutlich schlechter als früher. Es war relativ zäh und hatte ein ziemliches "Geschmäckle". Der Salat dazu (extra bestellt) war ganz klar nicht frisch und mindere Qualität - geschmacklich aber in Ordnung. Ich wünsche mir, dass der Trollinger das in den Griff bekommt. Sicher ist die Lage für die Gastro momentan nicht einfach.

Nice restaurant with an outdoor area. The steak was good, but unfortunately not quite medium. The service was also good and nice, but the drinks could have been brought a little quicker.

Top service, great waiter! Trung is not only friendly, but also extremely professional. Unfortunately, the food is often not that good, but the ambience by the lake and the fact that Trung smooths out this momentum with his spontaneous nature gives hope that the chef will follow the example of the waiter and that things will turn out well in the end!

I had a meal there with my girlfriend...the meat was on point...the sweet potato fries were unfortunately cold...very unfriendly and not particularly helpful staff...ordering drinks was a test of patience...the price/performance ratio isn't right here. A pity. Pia

Unfortunately I was disappointed as both my ribeye and the fillet were served lukewarm by my friend. Otherwise it wasn't a highlight when it came to the taste of the meat or the side dishes. Longer waiting times meant we decided not to place a replacement order due to our hunger. Unfortunately once and never again... :(

We had dinner at Trollinger with business colleagues. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. Me and some colleagues had beef tips with spaetzle, absolutely terrible. The beef was hard and dry, the spaetzle was bland and the sauce was tasteless. No garnish on the plate, even at home I prepare my food more beautifully. Everything was just slapped onto the plate, not even a lettuce leaf or anything like that. Everyone who ordered the dish first took pepper and salt and tried to make it edible somehow. The waitress was told that it didn't taste good and that the meat was hard. She just said she would tell the chef. We waited a long time for the drinks and had to ask several times. It's nice to sit outside by the fire lake. Unfortunately not recommended due to the food and service.

THEN: I haven't been there since the renovation in 2018 and didn't want to go. The service back then was subpar. TODAY: I ate a very tasty Swabian onion roast with fried potatoes. Since I have allergies, they adjusted the dish slightly - no problem at all. The service was perfect, friendly, attentive. The ambience outside by the Feuersee and inside with a view of it is modern and at home in the world. I will be very happy to come back. Good job. Keep it up.

The food was okay but unfortunately the quality was very poor. Negative: Unfortunately, there were several negative aspects during my visit on May 1, 2024 from 1 to 4 p.m. The staff seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy. The quality of the food varied greatly. There was often a lack of service staff outside, which left guests feeling neglected. The glasses were unpolished and showed traces of lipstick. Although this was resolved after a complaint, the staff seemed generally disinterested. My visit lasted over three hours, which is unacceptably long. Conclusion: The Trollinger Restaurant only receives two out of five stars due to the numerous negative points. There is a need for improvement in service and organization (necessary) to provide guests with a pleasant experience. It's a shame that Trollinger has developed so poorly and is unfortunately no longer worth a visit!

I've been here several times for a beer in the evening sun! Really very nice for that. This evening we ate the house specialty steak. Unfortunately I had the toughest rump steak I've ever eaten here. It was also very unevenly grilled and had little crust. The fried potatoes were also weak. The best thing was the salad, which doesn't necessarily contribute to the steakhouse image... The service was also extremely inattentive. So it's definitely good for a beer, because the location at the Feuersee in the evening sun is really good. But unfortunately not for dinner again.

Very nice location to sit outside. The food was very tasty (onion roast), only the spaetzle was quite soggy and bland. Service was very nice, but everything always took time as it was quite full in the nice weather. All in all, I would recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Went to Trollinger Stuttgart today. The atmosphere was very nice and I would definitely recommend Trollinger The service was very good and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. OK, what did I eat? The original Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad was very good Breading was crispy, the meat was very tender and I think the potato salad was homemade and also very good OK, if you've ever been to Austria and eaten the original there, you'll notice a small difference In Austria the schnitzel is so big that it rises above the edge of the plate That's not the case here but you still get 3 smaller ones (see picture) Of course you could also improve something 😁 e.g. you could have 1 more lemon and half a tablespoon more of the cranberries wouldn't be bad for the price of around €29 But the price is OK because veal is a little more expensive. So I'd love to come back

How can a man in a traditional German house that has been doing well for years suddenly offer Ottoman menus. As a tourist, it is completely misleading

We had lunch with a group of seniors this afternoon. We mostly ordered sauerbraten with spaetzle and red cabbage. Unfortunately the meat was very tough and the spaetzle was lukewarm! I told the waitress when I asked if it tasted good. Unfortunately all I received was an oh with a shrug and not even an apology.

I had only heard good things beforehand. Unfortunately, I can't confirm that impression at all - rather the exact opposite. The staff was uninterested and unfriendly. The price-performance ratio is a catastrophe. The portions are very small, I (I'm not a big person) left the restaurant hungry despite the starter and main course. Half of the food was partly completely raw and the other half was partly dried. I find it a disgrace for a steakhouse if they are unable to serve the meat in the desired condition and wonder how they justify the steep prices. In addition, everything was seasoned very slowly. The best thing, however, was when we discovered when paying that there were two versions of rhubarb spritzer on the menu. And of course, without asking the waitress, we got the variant that was almost twice as expensive as the other one. A very clever trick. Not only was I disappointed, I also ended up feeling like I was being ripped off. I will never visit this restaurant again and would highly recommend anyone not to try it.

Cool place, decent looking menu, but I'll certainly not be back. The service is absolutely terrible, even for Germany. It's absolutely embarrassing, in my opinion. These types of establishments continuously fail to realize how much more revenue they could make with just a bit more staff. Sorry to see such potential wasted.

During our last stroll through the city we visited this steakhouse based on a Facebook recommendation. The ambience was quite an eye-catcher. The terrace, the open charcoal grill and then the friendly staff. We felt like we were on vacation in southern Europe. When the great food was brought to our table, our eyes also ate it. The taste is simply fantastic. We will be back. LG and thank you for the lovely evening.

We hold our class reunion every year in Trollinger. The food is very good and the service is very friendly and accommodating and unobtrusive. We spend many hours there without a waitress constantly coming and asking if we want to order anything else. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

The Trollinger, widely known as an exquisite brewery and steak house, delights its visitors not only with its culinary offerings, but also with its exposed position. Positioned directly next to the St. John's Church on the Feuersee, the Trollinger restaurant offers its guests a direct view of the idyllic Feuersee. The ambience in the restaurant is inviting and is characterized by harmonious furnishings. The rooms are spacious and invite you to linger. There were four of us and we decided together on (two) "Trollinger Grillplatte", which is designed for 2 people and costs 79.00 euros. This extensive platter features a selection of beef tenderloin, turkey, pork tenderloin and roast beef, all freshly prepared from the charcoal grill. Side dishes included corn on the cob, classic Brauhaus fries, sweet potato fries, a selection of vegetables, guacamole and the special Trollinger sauce. Our experience at the restaurant was mixed, starting with an unexpectedly long wait. When the dishes were finally served, they impressed with their attractive presentation, but unfortunately the temperature of the food left a lot to be desired - it was mostly only lukewarm and sometimes even almost cold. This meant that the fries in particular did not live up to their full taste potential. I personally found the sweet potato fries to be too salty and dry. On the plus side, the quality of the meat was impressively high throughout. The guacamole and the Trollinger sauce were also taste highlights that tasted excellent. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Additionally, the restaurant offers a wide selection of draft beers, which will certainly appeal to beer lovers. The staff was consistently friendly. However, after placing our first order, the attention of the service staff noticeably diminished. Thank you. The prices are in the upper segment. In summary, our stay at Trollinger was accompanied by mixed emotions. With targeted improvements, the restaurant has the opportunity to develop its full potential.

The Trollinger probably has a good quality of regional food. You can use the map to see exactly where these are purchased. Bread and cakes are baked in-house at Trollinger. Since the specialty here is Swabian dishes, the menu is meat-heavy. However, I had the homemade spaetzle with cheese and a delicious side salad. Very tasty and authentic! Only the cheese had an average taste. However, I really enjoyed it. The meat dishes are supposed to be good. For vegetarians there is also vegan schnitzel or various open potatoes. Otherwise there is a large selection of draft beer. The staff is very friendly and customer oriented. We felt good. The ambience seems a bit cool after the renovation but that's a matter of taste. In any case, there is a lot of love for gastronomy and food here. You can feel that.

Das es an Messetagen sehr stressig für das Personal ist, kann ich absolut nachvollziehen und das man bei einem vollem Restaurant etwas länger auf sein Essen oder die Getränke warte muss ist für mich auch verständlich. Leider kann ich die Respektlosigkeit des Kellners nicht unkommentiert lassen. Der Kellner pfiff meinen Kunden und Geschäftspartner wie ein Hund an, weil er ihm Wein nachschenken wollte und er die wenigen Meter nicht auf sich nehmen wollte, um ihn direkt anzusprechen. Mir fehlen dort absolut die Worte, als ich ihn darauf angesprochen habe, hat er es runtergespielt.

1 star is still too much. I used to really enjoy eating here. Today, despite a reservation confirmed by email, we almost didn't get a table, then were seated at a large table only to be pointed to the emergency table by the patio door exit (with a train) by a very rude waiter. We didn't even wait to see if we would accept the table. We left and won't be coming back.

I had made reservations for a hiking group. We arrived much later and there were more people - that wasn't a problem! The speed of service was okay. They were all very friendly. The drinks came very quickly. The food was good, although not exactly cheap. We had forgotten a scarf and were called about it. The restaurant can be recommended for groups! You can also sit outside very nicely.

A culinary decline that is second to none! Two cold starters, each 20 minutes apart. came, but a side dish from the main course came 5 minutes. after the first starter; Bruschetta completely tasteless, without any green and completely carelessly served on an older plate; For the second starter we wanted additional bread (which, by the way, was the only highlight, it was really good!), but that should take 15 minutes. It would take 5 minutes, something would have to be baked. later a dry pretzel arrived, ha ha... both main courses were returned, 1x fillet & 1x loin, the meat smelled, tasteless, half cut... completely underground! Plate customer totally bananas. The completely overwhelmed waiter was constantly squealing, reminiscent of certain actors from ConAir or Schuh des Manitu... otherwise he was at least making a reasonable effort and despite being completely miserable, he got a reasonable tip; the place actually has charm and is cozy, but not recommended when eating, get well soon!

Very tasty Swabian cuisine. I would come back. The cheese spaetzle are to die for.

Table of 9 people: 1h30 wait to be served dishes (burger or meat). Few servers in the restaurant for a Saturday evening. The taste of the dishes was average, the presentation of the dishes ok. The price is a bit high and above many restaurants of the same type in Stuttgart. After negotiation with one of the servers, no possibility of having espressos at the end of the meal for free or 5% of the total bill due to the delay. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

The meat wasn't fried the way I wanted it, it was almost raw. For whatever reason, the sweet potatoes are topped with a generous dollop of sour cream, which isn't mentioned on the menu and doesn't go together at all. During the meal, the waitress simply cleared away the sauces and brought them to another table without saying a word. All in all a very big and expensive disappointment.

Ich war am 15.01.24 im Trollinger und habe einen Zwiebelrostbraten (medium zubereitet) verzehrt. Anschließend hatte ich eine Lebensmittelvergiftung. Ich gehe davon aus, dass das Fleisch alt bzw. nicht mehr gut war.

Eine Empfehlung für Leute die was besonderes feiern wollen... Wir waren zu unserer Weihnachtsfeier dort, ich war sehr angetan vom Essen. Alles war super lecker und schnell zubereitet. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und auch schnell am Tisch. Nur die Tische standen alle so nah beieinander, das man den Nachbar Tisch beim Gespräch verstanden hat. Wenn man nun das große Pech hat und den falschen Nachbar hat bekommt man kleine Kneipen vibes da es immer und immer lauter wird. Falls das einen nicht stört sollte man entweder zu weniger besuchter Zeit hin gehen oder eine Alternative finden.

Absolut geniale Fleischqualität. Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Steaks und alle waren top. Leider sehr lange Wartezeiten bis die Gänge kamen. Service naja, aber was gar nicht geht sind 4cm lange künstliche Fingernägel vom Service, dass man nicht mal die Teller richtig tragen kann. Geschweige von Hygiene, igitt.

Location spitze und sehr gemütlich, Essen sehr lange Wartezeit und dann lieblos angerichtet - geschmacklich okay…. Bedienung sehr unaufmerksam - insgesamt keine Empfehlung.

Das Trollinger ist bekannt als Brau- und Steakhaus, das ist es auch, mMn aber in der Top Klasse. Die Lage am Feuersee ist erstmal top. Schon beim Aufklappen der Karte sieht man, dass sich hier mit Bier ausgekannt wird. Auch die schwäbischen Speisen sahen alle super aus, aber unsere Wahl fiel auf die Steaks. Die Auswahl an Cuts ist absolut ausreichend, die Zubereitung auf dem richtigen Grill sieht und schmeckt man und das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegrillt und am Geschmack gab es nichts zu meckern. Die Beilagenauswahl aber auch der Geschmack waren top. Perfekte Ofenkartoffel und das Grillgemüse kam auf Wunsch komplett ohne Fett aus. Zudem waren auch die Portionen sehr großzügig. Das Ambiente ist recht schick, gerade die Bar und auch der halboffene Grill machen was her. Immer wieder gern werde ich hier her kommen

Die Gänsebraten für 2 Personen war die Frechheit schlechthin. An den 2 Gänsekeulen wurde vorher schon rum geschnappt und von der Gänsebraten die dazugehört war keine Spur zu sehen! Einfach nur unverschämt!!!!!

Wir haben einen netten Abend mit Freunden hier verbracht. Der Service war einfach super. Das Essen war gut, aber es ist noch Luft nach oben. Die Preise sind für Stuttgart in Ordnung.

Wurde so eben aufgefordert meine berechtigt schlechte Bewertung zu löschen! Nochmal...wir haben nicht wenig Geld für Essen bezahlt, das nicht gut war, vom Service ganz zu schweigen. Von daher habe ich doch das Recht mein Unmut hier loszuwerden. Für mich ist dieses Lokal schon lange keine Option mehr.

Das umgebaute Trollinger präsentiert sich jetzt als Braustüble statt als Weinstube. Das ist Geschmackssache. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist in Ordnung. Der Service ist ok. Die Spargelcremesuppe ist einen Tacken zu cremig, geschmacklich aber gut. Das Wiener Schnitzel ist auch in Ordnung, hätte aber etwas mehr Salz und Pfeffer vertragen. Angesichts der Preise darf man mehr erwarten, als hier tatsächlich geliefert wird. Schade. Diese Rezension war über den Besuch vom 16.05.2019. Am 29.12.2023 wurde ich von Google aufgefordert, meinen Besuch zu beweisen. Siehe dazu den Screenshot. Hätte ich den Besuch nicht innerhalb von 7 Tagen Beweisen können, wäre meine Bewertung gelöscht worden. Bilde sich jeder selbst seine Meinung, wie bei diesem Restaurant eine Bewertung deutlich über 4 Sterne entstehen kann.

Habe schon besseren Zwiebrostbraten gegessen. Die Bratkartoffeln waren zum abgewöhnen. Fade und so hart das ich Angst um Zahnfüllung hatte.

Wir waren am ersten schönen Sonntag dieses Jahres hier. Das Essen war lecker, aber die Bedienung war sehr gestresst, unaufmerksam und nicht gerade das, was man unter freundlich versteht. Der Nachtisch, ein Eiskaffee, kann ich leider nicht empfehlen. Die Hauptspeisen hingegen sind lecker. Mit Bier, Hauptspeise und Eiskaffee habe ich um die 25Euro bezahlt.

Ich war vor ein paar Monaten mit meiner Freundin dort.Der Service war katastrophal – die Kellnerin schrie aus der Bar heraus und fragte mich auf unhöfliche Weise, was ich möchte..

Hatten das Kinderschnitzel mit Pommes, Pommes waren leider nicht komplett durch. Ebenfalls war der Putenburger nicht durchgebraten und innen recht roh.. Bei Geflügel leider durchaus eine Gesundheitsgefahr auf Grund von Salmonellen... Bedienung war dennoch sehr zuvorkommend und hatte sich entschuldigt.. Dennoch würde ich bei dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wohl nicht mehr hierherkommen. Ambiente ganz ok..

Erstklassige Speisen..leider.wenn es voll ist..wie in einem Bahnhof die Räume haben schlechte Akustik..man kann sich nicht ruhig unterhalten

Netter Service, wenn er funktionierte! Das Essen war mit wenig Phantasie auf dem Teller „gelandet“ und leider schon öfter lauwarm, weil es länger am Pass gestanden hat. Außerdem war die Qualität unseres Fleisches teilweise einfach nicht so, dass wir von einem Genuss reden möchten. Das schöne Ambiente, sollte sich durchaus im Essen widerspiegeln. Noch ein Satz zum Service: Mal besser, mal schlechter. Je nachdem wer vom Personal an den Tisch kam. Mehr Motivation und Freundlichkeit bringt bessere Bewertungen denke ich. Und zur Bewertung im allgemeinen: Unternehmen zu beauftragen, um schlechte Bewertungen löschen zu lassen, finde ich grenzwertig. Vor allem, wenn man nicht nur einen Stern vergeben hat! Außerdem hätte der Eigentümer den Kommentar ja auch bewerten - und den Rezensenten anschreiben können um die Probleme zu klären! Aber so ist er halt. 🙈

Essen gut, Bier in warmen Krügen und Service unfreundlich. Ein Ärgernis am Muttertag. Braucht keiner. Nachtrag vom 9. November 2023: Post vom Anwalt. Das Restaurant fordert, dass Google die Bewertung löscht, weil wir angeblich nicht im Restaurant zu Gast waren. Mussten mit der Quittung über 240 Euro den Nachweis von Bewirtung, Ort und Datum erbringen. Empfehlung: Bei ungemütlicher Bewertung für den gastfreundlichen "Trollinger" unbedingt die Rechnung aufheben. So kann man sich auch unliebsamer Kritiken entledigen. Vorschlag: Mehr in den Service und weniger in Anwälte investieren.

Tolles Ambiente und leckeres Essen

Wir waren nach einer Veranstaltung in der Johanneskirche im Trollinger. Liegt direkt am Feuersee. Sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr einladend. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und mega freundlich. Gegessen hat nur eine Person von uns, da es schon recht spät war, aber der Wurstsalat sah nicht nur gut aus sondern schmeckte auch mega. Eine schöne Speise- und Getränkekarte. Die Bar ist mega ausgestattet War sehr schön und gemütlich für unseren Absacker. Wir kommen nochmal zum Essen her.
