Good food, pleasant atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxing evening.

The food was mostly really good, but it had a few weak points here and there. Unfortunately, it was also very expensive, and the portions weren't particularly large. Anyone who comes with a big appetite won't leave feeling truly satisfied after a main course. Unfortunately, the restaurant was also completely understaffed for the number of tables, which meant the service suffered considerably despite the very friendly staff. (Hopefully, this was just an isolated incident.)

Half an hour's wait before anyone even takes the order... then another half hour until the ordered snack is served... What a shame, it used to be a good place.

One star is too much! Unfortunately, our visit to this steakhouse was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival, despite having a reservation, we were neither greeted nor shown to our table. Some of the neighboring tables hadn't even been cleared yet, which didn't make a good first impression. After waiting for over 25 minutes, we finally received the menus, another 30 minutes later the drinks arrived, and after a total of 45 minutes, the food was served – unfortunately, cold. What was particularly annoying was that we ordered three steaks at €35 each, which definitely should have been prepared better at this price point. The service was also unfriendly and lacked any customer focus. With a bill of over €120, one can expect significantly more quality and hospitality.

Was seated very quickly on a Saturday which I was thankful for. The server let us know that the food would take about an hour which we were ok with (and I appreciate her being honest). To start, I ordered a margarita and I would give it a 2/10. We ordered 3 different types of steak Rumpsteak (for the kids), rib eye (for myself), rib eye dry aged (for my husband) and all 3 were 0/10. My kids said theirs was really chewy, mine was supposed to be medium well but was more like medium rare/medium (the inside was literally still cold). Also, all three were very flavorless. I will say the garlic butter and fries were really good! I also want to mention we seen our server when she first came to the table then not again until we had wave her down to pay. Maybe they were just having a bad night, but this was just our experience.

Waiting time beyond good and evil despite reservation.

I rarely write reviews and even more rarely complain about food. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that evening. My sirloin steak, which was supposed to be medium, was unfortunately rare in most places, to medium rare at best (I ordered medium), which made it really difficult to enjoy the steak. Unfortunately, there was another person at my table with the same problem. The spaetzle with pepper cream sauce unfortunately tasted of nothing, like if you just cooked spaetzle without salt, and the sauce just went with it. I didn't dare order dessert. However, according to my colleagues, the fruit only tasted like water, and one of them had a crepe that smelled of onions. The atmosphere is otherwise okay and the waitress was a bit stressed, but I don't blame her since she's the last in the chain.

The staff was helpful in making the selection.

We stopped here for breakfast because the Rote Kapelle was still closed. It was okay, but nothing worth repeating. And if the kitchen staff absolutely has to smoke, they certainly don't do it in front of the open door, letting the smoke in. And the cigarette doesn't belong on the floor either.

Delicious food, friendly, fast service. Lovely outdoor area by the Feuersee. The restaurant's interior gets very noisy when busy.

Very expensive Restaurant even more than Abaccos, would have been fine if the food and service was good. Sadly we ordered Medium-Rare steak, got partially very rare steak. I would have sent it back but our waitress completely ignored our table for the whole 1.5h we were there (even though the restaurant only had customers at 3 tables ...) The porksteips in mushroom sauce were too salty while the potato rösti had almost no salt

There's a wonderful terrace, but unfortunately, we weren't served there today. The waitress didn't seem to need it. What a pity.

I made a reservation there for a business lunch. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing due to long waits. There was no one sitting outside except my colleague and me. The carpaccio was still frozen, and the €70 grilled platter was meager for two people. It tasted quite good, though. I'd say it depends on the time of day for when the service is good.

Trollinger offered a solid dining experience, with the Grillplatte delivering well-grilled beef fillet, turkey, pork fillet, and roast beef, all enhanced by corn on the cob, crispy Brauhaus fries, sweet potato fries, vegetables, guacamole, and their house Trollinger sauce. The dinner was hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. The evening was rounded out with classic desserts, a rich ice cream sundae and fluffy waffle with whipped cream; both comforting finishes in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

The taste is really good, and the staff is super friendly. The biggest mistake you can make is slicing the roast beef thinly… It's a shame, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars!

I've experienced a lot in my life – but never anything like this. In this "restaurant," I was treated like a felon, just for politely asking how long my food would take and if it could be freshly prepared. The reaction was unbelievable: They actually threatened to spit in my food. Yes, you read that right – an open threat to a paying customer! That sentence alone ruined my appetite for weeks. I didn't feel like a guest at that moment, but like an enemy. The staff was aggressive, condescending, and absolutely disrespectful. I was yelled at, ignored, and treated as if I'd done something terrible. This kind of behavior exceeds all bounds of professionalism and humanity. The worst part: Instead of apologizing, they made the situation even worse by accusing me of being "difficult" – just because I wanted fresh food. I'm not paying to be treated like a piece of trash! This experience was traumatic and disgusting. I fled the restaurant and can only advise everyone: Save your time, money, and nerves – and NEVER go there. This kind of behavior doesn't belong in the restaurant industry, but rather in a textbook on "How to Lose Customers Forever." If I could, I would give this place minus 100 stars.

The food is good but the quality varies from day to day, from good to bad. I have ordered takeaway many times and once the order was incomplete. We ordered children's schnitzel with fries, but the schnitzel was missing, which we noticed at home. Today I ordered takeaway again. The food wasn't ready when we wanted to pick it up. The salad was carelessly prepared with lots of old brown leaves. The baguette was missing and there wasn't even ketchup or mayo with the fries. To be honest, it's a disgrace for the price. I don't think I will order again, though, as this keeps happening despite there being enough staff.

Trollinger in Stuttgart is a restaurant that is definitely worth a visit, especially if you want to enjoy traditional German cuisine in a cozy and pleasant environment. I ordered a schnitzel, and I have to say it was one of the best I have ever eaten. The meat was tender and well cooked, breaded to perfection and served with delicious sides that enhanced the dish. The service was impeccable; the staff were always available and ready to recommend the dishes of the day, creating a personalized dining experience. Really kind and courteous. The atmosphere was very good, not noisy, you could sit and chat during the meal. In short, Trollinger is a restaurant that combines delicious cuisine with exceptional service. I highly recommend visiting this place if you are in Stuttgart; it is the ideal place to enjoy traditional dishes in a warm and familiar atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon.

Two of us went there for lunch and sat outside. The service was quick and friendly. We chose the dish from the lunch menu: beef skewer with fries and salad. About €15. It was perfectly reasonable value for money, and the food was really tasty. The beer garden is very pleasant.

I was there with my 3-year-old daughter and we asked for a glass of tap water for her. They charged €1.50 for it, explaining that it's a restaurant. Hence, one star from me for not being able to distinguish between a customer who wants something to eat and a child who needs a drink of water. When I returned the glass and thanked them, I was ignored. I was very disappointed by the human nature of the service.

The whole experience was a Wrap! Very good , interesting. Everything I had was tasty and well made . I honestly didn’t like the pepper sauce to my steak, it was bitter but I won’t take that into account as I enjoyed every other thing. Then a waitress had my order for over half an hour then when I asked, she didn’t admit she had forgotten😅 we all know she did, she said, maybe it’s taking a little time - and I just laughed.

When I visited the restaurant, I opted for the dry-aged T-bone steak – unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The steak was cut significantly too thin, which is unusual for a T-bone steak. As a result, it quickly dried out during cooking and lost much of the typical, juicy flavor you expect from a good steak. Overall, the quality of the meat seemed rather mediocre. The flavor was bland, and the texture was dry – definitely not justified for the price. If you're offering a steak of this type, the preparation and quality of the meat should be significantly better. The service and ambiance were fine, but the dish itself made the visit disappointing for me. I wouldn't order the T-bone steak here again.

I've been a customer here since 2023. But the new 2025 Kelner team leaves a lot to be desired and is a long wait.

Sunday lunchtime was busy: the waitress took a long time to take the order. What she didn't mention: There are far too few staff in the kitchen and you would have to wait at least 90 minutes for food. It can happen that it takes longer, but that needs to be communicated. We weren't the only ones who canceled their order because they couldn't wait that long. Our server's colleague was more professional and was very sorry, hence two out of five stars.

I've known the restaurant for a long time and am a frequent visitor. And of course, like in real life, there were ups and downs. But what I've experienced over the last few years has been top notch and makes me happy to be a guest there again and again. A great team, great service and great quality on the plate. Unfortunately not a good address. The service was listless, slow and sometimes unfriendly. No excuse for forgetting salad, very long wait for food and drinks. At least we got a drink on the house. But that didn't save it either. Food was ok, but you can expect a lot more for the very high prices. We had to go to the bar to order drinks because no one came to the table. Ambiance was ok, unfortunately it was very loud that evening.

The food was good or okay. Nothing special but not bad either or anything. Standard simple. What bothers me a bit is the price. I paid €43.80 for my meal. As you can see in the photo, you get 3 potato wedges. A little more potatoes would be good because they don't cost the earth and should actually be a given in a dish that costs almost €50. The asparagus was good and so was the hollandaise sauce. The meat was ok, a bit cold inside but nothing dramatic on the whole. There were just little things that weren't so good, hence 3 stars.

There were four of us there, 1x rib eye 350g medium rare, 1x rib eye medium rare 500g, 1x rump steak 300g medium and 1x beef fillet medium rare 150g, as well as sweet potato fries and a Caesar salad. The 350g rib eye was at most medium, almost medium well, the fillet was cut very strangely and didn't look like it had been a fillet, it arrived almost well done despite ordering medium rare. But when asked, it came again at the correct degree of cooking. The 500g ribeye was initially very juicy and medium rare, but the further you got to the core it became more and more cooked. All in all, the meat is very unevenly cooked and has a weak flavor. The Caesar salad had almost no sauce. However, the sweet potato fries were sensationally good. The service was also great, we can't complain about that.

It was our first time eating here and we were really impressed! The atmosphere is really really nice! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! We felt very comfortable! The food was absolutely delicious! For my husband, it's absolutely the best pork knuckle he's ever eaten! I had the Schwabenpfännle and I have to say it was sooooo delicious!!!! If you are in Stuttgart or nearby, you definitely have to stop by!!! We will definitely come back, but also in the summer so that we can sit outside because it looks very cozy outside too... I can't understand the reviews about this restaurant at all. After a very long wait, the food was served cold to us. I had to wait about 40 minutes for a beer. Staff is understaffed and poorly organized.

If you want to eat good steak, this is the place for you. But if you value friendly service, clean toilets or a cozy atmosphere, you should look elsewhere. I had a Wiener Schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel was good, the fries were undercooked. It's also challenging... I had to go to the toilet too urgently, otherwise I would be out again. It smelled disgustingly of stool and vomit, the floor was sticky and it was almost impossible to get toilet paper out of the dispenser, which is why I resorted to using tissues that I had brought with me. The prices are sporty. The waitress didn't look at us once. Orders and commands were shouted as we ran in and out, with no regard for the guests who were sitting inside despite the beautiful weather. We had reserved for 14 people, we were given a walk-through seat, in the evening you had to sit there with a jacket. Had an original Wienerschnitzel, I didn't like the taste of it, I think it was fried in the deep fryer, it was equally brown, there were no air holes in the breading, in some places it was very hard (too cooked). The price performance ratio was not right for 30 euros. I think it's ok for drinking beer.

Ambiente war sehr schlicht, fast schon etwas zu schlicht und die Servicekräfte hätten gerne etwas freundlicher sein dürfen. All-in-all dennoch ein gutes Restaurant.

Die Qualität des Essens ist relativ schlecht. Ein Medium bestelltes Steak war noch blutig, nachdem es nochmal in der Küche nachgebraten wurde, war es stellenweise verbrannt. Das Ambiente ist etwas geschmacklos und die Musik zu laut.

According to the menu, the spritzer is available in 0.2 and 0.4. When I placed my order saying I wanted a large I was asked if I wanted a 0.4 or 0.5? Unfortunately, ordering a 0.5 spritzer turned out to be a big mistake. First. The 0.5 glass was filled with ice cubes so much that it was certainly only a 0.4 spritzer. The government charged €2.60 more for the 0.1 liter more. So I had to pay the state €7.50 for a 0.5 spritzer.

It’s a nice place in Stuttgart with good steaks but I was a little disappointed about the side dish and also my companions expected more. The ambience is really nice but there are better options to go in my opinion. The meals are a bit expensive compared to the sizes. But our dessert, the apple strudel was very good. Anyway it’s a nice choice if you look for a restaurants with great beer and good food with a group. They have a lot of space!

Leider eine Enttäuschung Fassungslos. Auf keinen Fall eine Empfehlung! Die traumhafte Lage dieses Lokals kann leider nicht über den schlechten Service hinwegtäuschen. Unser Besuch war geprägt von Ignoranz, unfreundlichem Personal und einer vollkommen überforderten Organisation. Bereits der Beginn unseres Aufenthalts ließ zu wünschen übrig: Eine erste Bestellung wurde einfach vergessen, woraufhin wir weitere 45 Minuten ohne jegliche Information warten mussten. Anstatt eine Erklärung oder Entschuldigung zu erhalten, wurden wir beim Nachfragen schlicht abgewimmelt – mit der unverschämten Aussage, dass es in Stuttgart normal sei, bis zu zwei Stunden auf sein Essen zu warten. Die Spitze der Respektlosigkeit wurde erreicht, als uns nahegelegt wurde, die Bestellung einfach zu stornieren und zu gehen. Doch es kam noch schlimmer: Nachdem wir erneut nachfragten, wurden wir lautstark von einer Jogginghose tragenden Servicekraft – unter anderem mit „Alter“ und „whatsup“ – ein Verhalten, das in der Gastronomie absolut inakzeptabel ist. Selbst der Versuch, mit dem Geschäftsführer zu sprechen, endete in einer Drohung, die Polizei zu rufen, falls wir nicht sofort bezahlen. Es ist nicht unser erster Besuch in diesem Lokal, und leider zeigt sich jedes Mal dasselbe Bild: mittelmäßiges Essen, ein völlig überfordertes oder schlicht unmotiviertes Team und lange Wartezeiten, selbst bei geringer Auslastung. Freundlichkeit oder professioneller Service sind hier Mangelware – stattdessen muss man regelrecht darum kämpfen, überhaupt wahrgenommen zu werden. Fazit: Die wunderbare Lage allein reicht nicht aus, um über so viele Missstände hinwegzusehen. Wer Wert auf guten Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre legt, sollte dieses Lokal meiden. Definitiv keine Empfehlung!

Trotz leerem Restaurant war der Service oft unfreundlich, und die Wartezeiten auf durchschnittliches Essen waren extrem lang. Mangels Alternativen hielten wir daran fest, obwohl uns viele abrieten. Heute warteten wir 45 Minuten und fragten höflich nach unserem Essen. Daraufhin wurde unsere Bestellung storniert, da sie noch nicht einmal in der Vorbereitung war – der Bedienung war es „zu viel“. Auf Nachfragen wurden wir persönlich beleidigt, und eine Minijobberin forderte uns auf, nicht mehr zu kommen, da eine Wartezeit von zwei Stunden für sie völlig normal sei. Sie verwies auf andere Lokale wie das Valle, in denen das angeblich ähnlich sei – eine Erfahrung, die wir dort nie gemacht haben. Der Chef war nicht vor Ort und hatte sein Personal offenbar nicht im Griff. Jeder, der eine Alternative hat, sollte sich weder den schlechten Service noch das mittelmäßige Essen antun.Die Servicekräfte wirken in Ihren Joggingbekleidungen wie frisch aus dem Bett, ihre Motivation spiegelt das auch und unhygienische Fingernägel machen das Arbeiten für sie leider unmöglich.

Absolute Katastrophe – Nie wieder! Wir haben in diesem "Lokal" eine der schlimmsten Erfahrungen gemacht, die man sich vorstellen kann. Nachdem wir eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten mussten und mehrfach nachgefragt haben, wie lang es noch dauert, wurden wir auf eine unfassbar unverschämte Art und Weise abgespeist: "Andere müssen auch warten!" Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, kein gar nichts. Als wir dann aufgrund der unmöglichen Wartezeit stornieren wollten, bekamen wir von einer Aushilfskraft in Jogginghose (!) zu hören, dass es ihr lieber sei, weil wir „zu oft nachgefragt“ hätten. Absolut respektlos und kundenunfreundlich! Doch damit nicht genug: Wir wurden mit „Alter?“ ,"Was geht!" und sogar tierähnlichen Geräuschen verspottet! Anscheinend muss laut den Grazien, guten service erst verdient als Kunde erst beweisen das manDer Höhepunkt war die freche Behauptung, es sei völlig normal, zwei Stunden auf sein Essen zu warten. Dieses Lokal ist eine absolute Zumutung. Wer Wert auf Service, Freundlichkeit und Professionalität legt, sollte einen großen Bogen darum machen. Ein Stern ist noch zu viel!

Die Lage dieses Restaurants ist zweifellos traumhaft: Direkt am Feuersee gelegen, mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht, die zum Verweilen einlädt. Die Einrichtung? Geschmackvoll renoviert, mit einer stilvollen Atmosphäre, die moderne Eleganz mit Gemütlichkeit verbindet. Doch leider endet das Positive genau hier. Der Service: Ein einziges Ärgernis Von einem professionellen und gastfreundlichen Team kann hier keine Rede sein. Gäste werden konsequent ignoriert, bis man sich gezwungen fühlt, selbst nach einer Bestellung zu fragen. Die Wartezeiten sind absurd – es vergehen gefühlt Ewigkeiten, bis man überhaupt bedient wird, geschweige denn, bis das Essen auf dem Tisch steht. Wer es wagt, höflich nachzufragen, wird von der Servicekraft unfreundlich angepflaumt – als ob man eine Zumutung wäre. So etwas ist in der Gastronomie inakzeptabel. Das Essen: Mittelmaß, das sich nicht lohnt Nach der langen Wartezeit hofft man wenigstens auf ein geschmackliches Highlight – vergeblich. Die Gerichte sind bestenfalls durchschnittlich, ohne Raffinesse oder erkennbare Leidenschaft. Kein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das die Strapazen des Aufenthalts rechtfertigen würde. Fazit: Eine vertane Chance Hier wäre so viel mehr möglich! Mit dieser Lage und dem ansprechenden Ambiente könnte das Restaurant ein echtes Highlight sein. Doch die unverschämte Servicequalität und das mittelmäßige Essen machen einen Besuch zur Enttäuschung. Wer sich einen schönen Abend verderben lassen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Für alle anderen: Es gibt in Stuttgart definitiv bessere Adressen! Maximal 1 von 5 Sternen.

Mein 150 g Rinderfiletsteak mit Kräuterbutter war perfekt nach meinen Wünschen gegrillt, und die dazu gewählte Guacamole ausgezeichnet! Beim Zürcher Geschnetzelten ist jedoch noch Luft nach oben und nur einen einzigen Crepe (mit Ahornsirup) um EUR 8.40 zu reichen, finde ich mehr als überteuert. Leider wird keinerlei Wert auf Tischwäsche gelegt, nicht einmal auf einfache, hygienische Papiersets und das Besteck steckt bereits biergartenmässig in einem Gefäss am Tisch: eine um sich greifende gastronomische Unsitte. Das Ambiente ist nett & modern, das Servicepersonal freundlich und einigermassen aufmerksam. Die angebotenen Cocktails sind auch in Ordnung, werden jedoch teilweise leider in einem völlig falschen Glas serviert, so z.B. die Margarita.

The third time we are simply forgotten and no waiter takes care of us. The table wasn't even cleared beforehand. The food is also very mediocre and the prices are high. Absolutely not worth it as the waiters are not interested in good service. Avoid this restaurant
