Not an overly large card, but that's more of a good quality feature for me. You concentrate on what you can do. What more could you want?

We had a table at 8pm and ordered an aperitif to start. When this was served at the table, we wanted to order the menu. We were told this only works until 8 p.m. This information would have been helpful both when making the 8pm reservation and upon arrival. Being told "unfortunately no" shortly after arriving is the worst service we've had in a long time.

Since we lived in the hotel above, we had dinner here for New Year's Eve. We went to dinner quite early and were one of the first guests, although the service seemed to be overwhelmed. Unfortunately the food was nothing special at all, the quality was quite good, but the taste was quite boring and not worth the money! The tartare was not freshly prepared, but already prepared, it was served on an ice-cold plate in just a few minutes and was a sticky mass. The main course was served without us having cutlery and having to ask for it first. The glass of red wine we ordered with the main course never arrived. All in all a very disappointing evening. However, the next day we had another meal from the same kitchen crew and it was sensational, maybe they were just having a bad day with bad service!

Dining at the Contemporary Steakhouse at La Méridien Hotel was an exceptional experience. The appetizers, from the freshly grilled vegetables to the to the creamy mac n cheese were divine, setting the stage for the star of the meal: a perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful beef shoulder steak. Guillermo, our waiter, provided impeccable service, offering excellent recommendations and making us feel incredibly welcome, which has been a rare find for me, here in Germany. This steakhouse is a standout choice for anyone seeking exquisite cuisine and outstanding hospitality.

I had the pleasure of visiting Kleinschmeckerei recently and all I can say is that it was an absolute highlight. The food was just amazing - especially the meat, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. The service was fabulous, attentive and friendly, making us feel very comfortable the entire time. The host gave us a warm welcome and made sure we didn't lack anything. All in all, it was a thoroughly successful evening and I can highly recommend the Kleinschmeckerei. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

In February 24, I had dinner at Kleischmeckerei with 11 colleagues. The food was delicious, big compliments to the kitchen. However, the service was disastrous. Poor explanation of the menu, inattentive service. Half-full glasses were simply cleared away. The serving cutlery was missing. We left a lot of money there, but you can expect more. When our boss wanted to come a little later with another 5 people, he was turned away, even though there was enough space. The restaurant would have earned a lot more money. Apparently they don't need it. Very unfortunate. For us this means “never indulge in small things again”.

We were there for the first time as part of the fine dine collection. The very manageable menu was shortened to include the large pieces of meat. Chateaubriand was offered as an alternative. 550 gr for 194 €! Including supplements. We decided on it. Unfortunately, the taste experience described did not materialize. Very good quality, but nothing special. Meat served on a platter without decoration. Pepper sauce only upon request. Side dishes very good. Served in bowls. No submission. Service ok, no more. 3 people look after the guests. Ambience ok, pretty tight when it's really busy. All in all the price was not justified! The concept doesn't seem to work (anymore?). Note: Complaining about a forgotten bottle of wine for €61 would have been more than just a “thank you”. Little things make a really good host and bring regular guests!

The Kleinschmeckerei is located on the grounds of the Le Merdien Hotel in Stuttgart opposite the main train station. The location is small and nice. In any case, reservations should be made. The service is very good, the menu is short but sufficient. The food was very good, but we are on the high end level. I was missing the salads or something fresh/crunchy, but the menu will now be changed in March 2024. Thank you very much too

You go there with high expectations because expensive actually promises something upscale. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The ambience is quite ok, we also had to endure the grease clouds in the dining room mentioned in the other reviews, the smell of the clothes could be described as kitchen clothes after the visit. We had a vegetarian version with mozzarella and various side dishes as the main course. For the meat, a tartar starter and US hanging tender. Plus a bottle of wine. Let's start: The mozzarella starter was nicely presented and tasted good. The tartare was far too coarse and not very seasoned. The small dips to go with it, it was chic on a higher level. But that was about it. Only the beef was very good, although there was neither coarse salt nor a coarse pepper mill on the table. When asked, there were two fine mills - you could have left them alone. The vegetarian main course consisted of a huge portion of mashed potatoes, roughly cut from floury potatoes, a bowl of thickly breaded fried vegetables, a bowl of pimientos and a bowl of lukewarm fries and potato chips. Ketchup, mayo and chilli sauce from the familiar glass bottle were only available upon request. No separate dinner plate provided was the crowning glory of the “bowl meal”. We skipped dessert. We got there through the Stuttgart Gourmet Box. The certificate would say “they always tried hard.” Intentionally, not skillfully and far too expensive for this experience. We also like to order a bottle of wine in the gourmet restaurant, but selling the 15 euro wine for 52 euros is a lot. But actually says it all. We won't be coming back.

Table reserved at Open Table - credit card deposited - arrived - table not prepared - that's how our visit began. After we waited until our table was prepared, we took a seat and were given a clipboard as a card, one third of the top page of which was already torched - and nothing was readable. Ordered water - and with this order we were first told what was already out and not available - in the end there were only 2 different steaks to choose from that we didn't like. When I asked, the information came back - the other steaks are quite similar - and you only buy two of the good pieces a day (I thought I was going to fall off my chair). Well, we didn't accept this and then left the restaurant. When we got the information that we wanted to go, everyone suddenly got very upset and our coats weren't even brought to us - only the notice in the back of the corner allowed us to get them ourselves. Conclusion - Of course we can't rate the food - so we just gave it an average rating - of course the prices are extremely high, which of course meant our expectations were also high. The atmosphere is actually nothing special and is simply bad given the occasion and the price. The smell of cooking from the kitchen is spread throughout the entire guest room - it is darker than average - the tables are extremely small - the room has no soundproofing whatsoever, which makes it an extremely loud atmosphere. The service - which we at least came into contact with - is really weak - simply calling meat similar doesn't exactly show any professional training - all in all - for us this steakhouse is the way it is now and there is none here Option more

Very nice atmosphere, unfortunately the air was full of grease due to the obviously poor exhaust ventilation in the kitchen. The portions are huge.. especially the side dishes.. Good in taste, but the price is still not in relation to the quality. It's a shame, but it can be changed ;-)

Do they still have all of them...? Completely overpriced! We became aware of small-scale delicacies through the Fine Dine Box. First, the service from a very friendly trainee was excellent! The food was an overpriced outrage. Completely salty throughout. An entrecôte drowned in pepper sauce with a few different fries for €99 is a disgrace. The desired wine (from the menu) and the desired port wine were not available. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN!

Tourist nap! Without Hotel le Meridien this store would no longer exist! You only come here once...😔 Unfortunately, what you read here is true. Unfortunately, price and performance don't fit at all. You definitely expect more in this price range! You should be able to fry steaks in a steak restaurant, including English ones - but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Wine selection is very rudimentary (only Württemberg wines). You also expect more service in this price range, not just nice platitudes from students. You should know the clear map and be able to provide information if you have any questions. Any constructive and nicely expressed criticism was not accepted but was discussed with colleagues behind the bar. Once and never again! It's not right if you pay a lot and then go home dissatisfied.😔

We went twice while staying at Le Méridien and one visit was so drastic over the other that I have to review twice. Our first visit was 5* - as the food was perfectly cooked and amazing. The cut of meat was so tender, seasoned, and just devine. The wine we ordered came in what looked like a Gin bottle - we really enjoyed it. The only downside to this visit is the cost. Holy crap this place is expensive!! We decided to come back here. We were going to order one of the special cuts (don't remember the name, but over €150 just on its own) but they did not have it available. They recommended the Flank steak sous vide instead. Super disappointed. This was nothing compared to our first visit. Chewy, not great seasoning. Ugh. This visit maybe 1-2* at most. Again, costs are astronomical for what you get.

Mmmmh, parking in the hotel garage for €10 isn't going well. Ambience is made cheaper than the photos promise. Lighting is not pointed, but shows every eyeliner that isn't quite correct. Service lovely and good. Tatar was commendable as rarely experienced PERFECT! The mayonnaise is a bit greasy. Flank steak for a whopping €62.50 for one person was not even tender or tasty and estimated at 120g? Red wine recommendation was great, but it costs €12 on the menu and €17.50 for 0.2L on the bill? Mmmmh, not really anymore.

When I was looking for the restaurant for a business lunch, I assumed it was an upscale steak restaurant. This expectation was only partially fulfilled. The dining room is pleasantly “small” and you can sit a little more privately. The tables were beautifully set and the jackets were taken away when you were seated. However, the rest of the ambience was disappointing. A fairly plain dining room that clearly spread out the noise from neighboring tables. It was quite loud at times. The menus were just pages on a clipboard, which I wouldn't expect in a restaurant like this. The water glasses that were on the table looked stylish, but were difficult to grab. The service was attentive and not intrusive. However, I lacked a little of the empathy that I have experienced in restaurants at this price point. The food was great! The starters were very tasty, some exceptional and topped with lots of truffles. For the main course I had the flank steak. There were 4 narrow strips of beef on a very tasty side dish of potatoes, onions and peppers. However, I wouldn't have been full without an appetizer. We paid €300 for 3 people.

We were totally disappointed the first time and only came because we like to give restaurants a second chance. The first time, none of the three of us were full, the selection was very limited, so you could only choose between two dishes. In addition, the prices are not justified for what you get (regardless of quantity or quality). Unfortunately, the second visit reflected a lot of the first. The start with buffalo mozzarella (19€) was “okay” and the beef tartare (24€) was a bit disappointing as it was cut far too coarsely and only had salt and pepper to taste, if at all. For the main course we chose the tomahawk steak (169€) which, according to the waitress, was enough for 3-4 people - unfortunately the three of us didn't get enough. The meat never had the stated amount of meat (700-800g according to the waitress) and was absolutely average. The side dishes, on the other hand, were very tasty and well thought out, which is why the rating was raised to 3 stars despite the average quality and high prices. The fourth person's dish was the truffle paccheri, which was delicious, although more intense truffle pasta had already been eaten at cheaper prices (€30). The ambience is very nice, but the smoke and grease from the kitchen rises throughout the restaurant! In the end we arrived at €269, from which a voucher for €30 was deducted.

Tolles Essen und super Service. Wir können die zum Teil etwas weniger guten Kommentare zum Service hier nicht nachvollziehen. Wir wurden super zuvorkommend bedient und haben uns zu jeder Zeit super wohl gefühlt. Das ganze Konzept ist meines Erachtens eben nicht auf ein steifes Restauranterlebnis ausgelegt sondern hat für mich was von new luxury mit coolem Service auf Augenhöhe und hochwertigem Essen und tollen Weinen! Für uns perfekt daher Riesen Danke für den tollen Abend:) Einziger kleiner Punkt war, dass unsere Klamotten nach Essen gerochen haben aber das ist bei Steak vermutlich auch nicht zu vermeiden.

As others have said, Le Meridien is out of the main restaurant area. Therefore it should provide a good internal option. Unfortunately I cannot say this is a success. I visited on a Tuesday night - 2 service staff absolutely run off their feet. I would rate service lower but felt sorry that management put them in this position. Food was OK. Service and overall feel was "rushed bistro" style. Prices are high for what you get. I would not return.

I have been to this restaurant 2 times during my stay at Le Meridien. You don’t have a big choice of restaurants there. The first time was okay, but the second time was a complete failure. They brought me a child portion of steak (4 tiny pieces, about 100 grams) for 55 euros! The meat was very dry, almost impossible to eat. The other Le Meridien restaurant is so much better. I recommend you don’t spend time and a lot money on Kleinschmeckerei and eat out in the city.

Gutes leckeres Essen; eigentlich hätte ich eine gute Bewertung gerne geschrieben, aber als es zum bezahlen ginge, wurde aus dem netten Abendessen ein Theater. Erst bei der Rechnungsstellung wies die Kellnerin darauf hin das man nur mit Ec Karte bezahlen ,,könne,, . Nirgendwo ist dies niedergelegt. Weder an der Türe noch in der Karte. Man musste 20 min diskutieren und sich ,, doof, ansprechen lassen weil man nicht mit Karte bezahlt. Mieser Umgang mit Kunden. Würde diese Gastronomie nicht weiter empfehlen

Waren zu zweit dort essen und bekamen spontan telefonisch noch einen Tisch reserviert. Die Qualität der Speisen rechtfertigt den Preis, allerdings empfinde ich 16.- für 0,2 l Rotwein überzogen. Der von mir gewünschte Rotwein war zudem aus. Das Personal war angenehm aufmerksam und freundlich. Wenn ich zu zweit für fast 200.- essen gehe, möchte ich allerdings beim Bezahlen nicht diskutieren müssen ob dies bar möglich ist. Die gleiche Diskussion gab es auch am Nebentisch. Das lässt die Aussage des kellners das ja 99% der Gäste mit Karte bezahlen wenig glaubhaft erscheinen. Bargeld hat auch etwas mit Privatsphäre zu tun. Und wenn Barzahlung nicht akzeptiert wird sollte man das offen kommunizieren.

wir waren zum ersten Mal spontan über OpenTable zum Abendessen, haben zu dritt je Vorspeise, Hauptgang und sogar Dessert genommen, damit man möglichst viel ausprobiert. In jedem Gericht waren verschiedene Fleischarten drin, aber alle so butterzart, dass man kaum kauen müsste - Qualität von allen Speisen ist für uns an dem Abend wirklich sternwürdig gewesen. Was in einem guten Restaurant wichtig ist: satt, aber nicht voll zu werden und dieses angenehme Gefühl haben wir bei der "Kleinschmeckerei" tatsächlich erlebt - die Weinkarte ist zwar nicht groß, aber gut bestückt - wir sagen ein Dankeschön an die Köche und Personal für gute Arbeit und kommen gerne wieder

Hotel Le meridian we were staying in made the reservation for us, then surprisingly the waiter was refusing to let us in claiming that the kitchen will close soon , only after a discussion and us insisting that the hotel reception did call the restaurant and we had a table reserved, we were at last seated. The food was over priced and the quality was average. At the end they didn't want to take cash and claimed that they had no change at all!Due to COVID !!!!! in August 2023!!!

Meine Freunde und ich waren gestern in der Kleinschmeckerei. Vom Empfang bis hin zum Service und dem grandiosen Essen war einfach alles perfekt. :-) Das Ambiente ist mega schön und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Wir haben fast alle Vorspeisen gehabt, damit jeder probieren konnte. Es war alles super frisch und die Geschmackskombinationen waren perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Hauptgänge (US hanging Tender) waren perfekt zubereitet und super lecker. Vor allem das getrüffelte Mac n Cheese hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Desserts waren auch super. :-) Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Weiter so. :-)

Don’t get me wrong the food was excellent and the Chateaubriand perfectly cooked and the sides were fantastic as well especially the mash potatoes with bacon but 3 things… First of all you could warm up the plates prior to serving as meat comes cold otherwise. Second, the price €165 is abusive. I’ve eaten in many steakhouses and I’ve never paid such price. Even in the steakhouse in Zermatt (Switzerland) where the chateaubriand is €120. Third, and that’s probably the most annoying stuff. You’ve asked us many times if we wanted wine. You’ve insisted and insisted again every 10 to 20min on it. The wine list was so small. If you insist that much you should have at least a great worldwide selection with affordable prices and not put only the most expensive ones. Expensive doesn’t mean good.

Paar Speisen waren besonders lecker, einige ein wenig Geschmackslos/ - neutral. Was ich besonders gut fand, war die Mitarbeiterin, die uns bedient hat. Sie hat einen tollen Job gemacht! :) habe mich schon lange nicht Mehr so gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Das Essen ist hervorragend! Egal, was auf den Teller kam, es war ein purer Genuss! Höchste Qualität! Neben dem unglaublich leckeren Fleisch ist auch die Pinsa der absolute Hammer! Unfassbar leckerer Teig und das Carpaccio erst darauf ... Zu dem Fleischgericht wird auch eine Beilage serviert - die Mac n Cheese sind soooo lecker! Die Vorspeise (wir hatten das Rindertartar) kann man sich gut zu Zweit teilen. Für mich allein wäre die Portion viel zu groß gewesen. Die Bedienung verdient ebenfalls ein riesiges Lob! Sehr sehr aufmerksam, sehr freundlich! Tolle Beratung zu dem Fleisch und nicht aufdringlich. Auch auf eine Bitte, meinem Mann eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit von mir zu überreichen, ging die Kellnerin problemlos ein, ohne mir das Gefühl zu vermitteln, das sei unangebracht. Sehr sehr nett! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Absolutly great dinner! We got a delicious champagne as welcome drink that perfectly fitted our starter. I am not a big fan of raw meat, but the tartar we´ve had as a start was incredible. As a main we went with the tomahawk steak (around 900g of meat) and the try aged steak (250g). Both of them were to the point and came with super tasty sides like truffel mac´n´cheese, grilled veggies and mash (sweet) potatoes. If you are looking for a really special and fancy place to eat a good steak, share the love for the best selected meat and have brilliant service - Kleinschmeckerei is THE place to go to.

Ein sehr gelungener Abend zu Zweit! Die Auswahl der Vorspeisen war sehr umfangreich. Ein Highlight war der gereizte Lachs mit dem eingelegten Kimchi. Das milde Sauerteig Brot und die hausgemachte Kräuterbutter waren zum Start, eine wirkliche Freude. Leider konnte die zweite Vorspeise, eine Interpretation von Tomate Mozzarella nicht überzeugen. Das Dressing war zu sauer abgestimmt, die Tomaten leider unreif und der Mozzarella von einer mittleren Qualität und den Preis leider nicht gerechtfertigt. Eine Burrata hätte das Gericht deutlich aufgewertet. Als Hauptgang, die Pinsa nach Art des Hauses, hat dafür wieder voll überzeugt.Das dünn geklopfte Carpaccio in Verbindung mit der Trüffelcreme, dem reichlich gehobelten schwarzen Trüffel waren eine Freude. Leider hat der der üppige Wildkräutersalat alles etwas überdeckt, aber geschmacklich eine Bombe. Das Rindertatar nach Art des Hauses war geschmacklich eine eins, leider für meinen Geschmack, etwas zu grob geschnitten. Die Getränkeauswahl war solide. Es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Hervorheben möchte ich noch den ausgezeichneten Service und die kompetente Beratung. Ein Tipp für die Zukunft, es muss dringend an einer ordentlichen Abluftanlage gearbeitet werden. Geruchsbelästigung grenzwertig. Wir kommen gerne wieder, sobald man draußen sitzen kann.

Steak mal anders. Das war frisch und jung. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Art wie das Thema Steak erzählt wird hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war ein bisschen drüber und leider leider ist die Akustik und die Belüftung ganz fürchterlich.

Ich war etwas enttäuscht. Das Ambiente fand ich der Preisklasse nicht ganz angemessen. Es war so laut, dass die Kommunikation am Zweiertisch schwierig war. Die Beratung war nett, aber etwas ungewöhnlich. Die Lüftung war so, dass unsere Augen am küchennahen Tisch tränten. Das Essen war gut, aber bei der Preislage fehlte so etwas der wow Effekt.

Ended up here after seeing good reviews on tripadvisor and I was not disappoited. Good selection of different pieces of meat where you can choose both size and the piece of cut. The stake is served on a hot stone. Fried with a nice curst and cooked until about raw. You then have the opportunity to cooked it to your own liking. Fries and three different dipping sauses are free withextra refills. Would highly recommend this place

Um meine wertvolle Zeit für diesen Gaststättenbesuch nicht zu verschwenden schließe ich mich der Bewertung von bohne_roethu vom Januar 2023 an, weil sich seitdem anscheinend nichts geändert hat: Sehr enttäuschend. Mein Fleisch "HEREFORD RIBEYUE" und auch alles sonst war drittklassig. Auch die Rostbraten habe ich in guten Gaststätten schon deutlich besser gesehen. Kochen geht anders, als jeden Tag 1.000 x drittklassiges Fleich mit Kartoffeln aus dem Backofen und Sour Cream rauszuhauen. Die Sour Cream schmeckt wie aus dem Eimer und nur nach Knoblauch. Pfeffermühle auf dem Tisch gibt es nicht, nur eine Gewürzmischung mit Zucker und allem möglichen drin um das schlechte Fleich aufzupeppen.

We visited the restaurant not long ago (July 2024) in expectations to have good steaks as Argentina is famous for their beef. To our disappointment the place was old and worn and not in good quality. The waiting time was long and the service wasn’t very kind. The food was decent but you’d expect more for the price as we ordered some of the more expensive meat - but it wasn’t bad at all. The thing that really put me off about this place is that I could hear the owner speaking bad to his employees and in this case a young female waitress. I really don’t like people that treat others in a way they wouldn’t like to be treated to themselves. We also saw the owner serving another table and in the middle of it his cellphone rings and he picks it up in front of the guests who are paying. Something was missing here - one things was curtesy and the other was the condition of the building.
