I came in here at lunchtime when lunch was really busy and was given a spot at the counter. But it wasn't too bad. The service (thanks, Maya!!) was attentive and quick, overall I found it nice and impressive to see how the team works together really well even when they're at full steam and there's always time for a funny saying in the team. The dish (barbecue steak plate with fries) was excellent. So: see you again soon.

I pointed out to the staff that the toilets were very dirty, but unfortunately I was ignored.

Conveniently located just next to the train station, the Block House is a place that specialises in steaks. Naturally, the steaks are the star of the place, and they are perfectly done to your preferred wellness. At medium rare, the Hereford ribeye was succulent and melted in your mouth. Many of the steaks also come with a healthy portion of salad. Service was friendly and polite, while the place had a warm and cosy feel. The place has a English menu, and the servers can converse fluently in English.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant based on a recommendation. The food was very tasty and the service was attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, but a bit louder due to the large restaurant. However, it was still possible to have a good conversation. Since we were there at 5:30 p.m., we got a table without a reservation. However, the restaurant was full by the time we left at around 7:30 p.m. The prices are completely reasonable and the meat is cooked to perfection. So I can highly recommend it to everyone.

The best thing at the beginning 👌🏾 Service was super friendly, but the food was catastrophic 💵 and way too expensive 🍔 Burger New York Style was missing the top part of the bun 🥩 Beef carpaccio from the well-known supermarket chains is cheaper and much tastier 🦃 Turkey steak children's portion, but adult price paid. I don't want to comment anymore on dessert. My new air fryer from Kennwood, which is on sale for 77 euros, makes tastier food.

Unfortunately, my ribeye steak smelled inedible of burnt fat. My wife was happy with her cheeseburger but unfortunately I came away empty-handed. We didn't complain but we wouldn't visit the Block House again. The service was OK.

Attentive server and great portions. Delicious steaks and side dishes as well. Was extremely crowded on Saturday night so we couldn't walk in but Sunday we went and we got served just fine.

We were welcomed at the entrance and shown to the table because we had reserved. Although they apologized for one or two delays at the beginning of the evening, we were always attentively looked after and served promptly. The dry-aged rump steak was exactly medium and was on the table quicker than expected. The salad was previously fresh, really colorful and varied, dressed with classic Italian or creamy French dressing. There was also garlic bread and a baked potato covered in sour cream. All in all not cheap but good value for money because it was also dry-aged rump steak... For me, the size choice could be something larger, but that's complaining at a high level. We would like to thank you for a lovely Sunday meal and look forward to next time!

Super friendly service, very tasty food

We've been coming to the Blockhouse for years! Sirloin steak with pepper sauce! Salad etc. Apart from the fact that the portions have now become smaller, the pepper sauce was inedible. Way too much sugar! What a shame!! We won't be coming back for a while! What I would still like to mention is that the staff was very friendly!

I went there twice and I liked it because it was delicious, friendly, and most of all, unlike other steakhouses nearby, there was no pressure to tip.

Very tasty food, great service. We were there with six people for a birthday. The staff were super hospitable and our two kids were really pampered with little gifts... we found the small champagne drink with a sparkler on the house (orange juice for the kids) particularly charming, and the highlight was a souvenir photo of all of us with a nice card and signatures from the employees. We felt very cared for and welcome, many thanks to Elena and her colleagues - we look forward to seeing each other again soon

Bad and very rude waiter. The food was ok. But not particularly. You feel like you're in a departure hall.

After our trip to the cinema we were spontaneously hungry for a juicy piece of “meat” and ended up in the Blockhouse. We didn't have a table reservation for prime time at 7:30 p.m. But it wasn't a problem, after 5 minutes of waiting the three of us were assigned a seat at the window. The service from Marija was quick, courteous and friendly. The salads were freshly dressed with the French dressing, overall tasty and crunchy. The meat (Mr and Mrs rump steak and a Hereford rib-eye) was, as expected, tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Many thanks to the Block House team: we would be happy to come back soon.

Friday evening for two without a reservation, we got a seat straight away, were served straight away and got our food very quickly, considering it was really full there. It's been a long time since I've eaten such good food Service was also great!

To wait for the train ok. The Caesar salad was rotten with lots of yellowed salar leaves. The garlic roast was flabby and not crispy. The fries were soft and limp. The beer was at least highly recommended. Cool and well tapped.

Very good and friendly service, great atmosphere, food always excellent! Extra wishes are fulfilled, we are completely satisfied and will definitely come to you often!

The ambience inside is nice, but the front of the store is very disgusting. The food… where to start Starter was okay, but you didn't notice any quality. For the main course we had the New York Style Cheeseburger. If I had known that it wasn't a burger at all, but rather a patty with cheese placed on a dripping baguette bread, I certainly wouldn't have ordered it. The fries also tasted like they came from the nearest discount store. The staff speaks poor German, just enough to be able to take the order, which was not properly understood and was simply typed in despite a “no”. That's not a prejudice, but in a respectable restaurant it should at least work or work better. For the money it's definitely not worth visiting this restaurant/chain. 1 star because it's mostly about the food and that was horrible.

The food, service and ambiance were amazing. Our server, Elma, was friendly and even gave my son a token. Although my son is a picky eater, he loved his beef nuggets. This is the best restaurant we visited in Stuttgart.

Typical traditional menu with also vegetarian options and a menu dedicated to children. The service is extra fast. The environment is reminiscent of a mountain one but with a modern note.

Mixed feedback: Service great, starter was good, salad too, the steak was rather disappointing, medium meant that it was cold inside and the Malbec also tasted like the bottle had been open for a long time. The surprise came when I got the bill: instead of the fries or the baked potato, we simply asked for a little more cole slaw to be served. We then had to pay an extra 7 euros for this. The carbs were gratefully left out, but the cole slaw was charged extra. This hasn't happened to me in years.

The two of us were there last night and I have to say that we were served very friendly. I have to say this was the best steak I have ever eaten. Everything was very clean and the price was really ok. What I also really liked was that you got a handwritten message from the waitress with the bill. Please forgive me if I don't remember exactly what their names were, I think Elena, thank you for the lovely evening you gave us. All the best.

The Blockhouse is simply legendary.

Addendum: Blockhouse's answer can only be surprising. The waiter on site agreed to pass on my criticism to the kitchen. Now I can find out that there is no chef at all, just a warming station. Therefore one star less. Original post: Of course I don't expect star cuisine near the train station. But crispy goose leg should really be crispy. Potato gratin was heavily salted. And I could have saved myself the extra bread. The announced tasty sauce, with which it would be easy to achieve plus points, was just enough to coat the gratin.

Overall, the visit to the BLOCK HOUSE at Arnulf-Klett-Platz in Stuttgart was very pleasant. The service was friendly and quick, which we really liked. The T-bone steak was OK. Not outstanding, but solidly prepared. However, I was particularly enthusiastic about the baked potato, which was really delicious. Unfortunately, a small deduction has to be made for the espresso after the meal. It was quite thin and didn't have the strong flavor that you would expect from a good espresso. Overall, a successful visit and I'll be back.

Loved the place! Conveniently located too - across from the hbf. Good, no frills steak. Would definitely come back the next time I visit Stuttgart.

Great atmosphere and delicious food!

We always enjoy going here! This time too it tasted very, very good! But when the food was served, we were very disappointed! The potato was tiny, like a silver onion, and what was once a whole slice of garlic bread was now added in half! It was cut at an angle so that it didn't look so short! I'm wondering whether you're making a false economy here, considering that you have to shell out over 28 euros for a rump steak! Next time we'll think carefully about whether we'll treat ourselves to something else good in return!

It was my birthday and I was here for dinner and the employee from Block Haus made a surprise with a cake and candles and also a free drink, the best thing for me, thank you very much Elena and everyone is very nice and sweet.

My wife and I were in this Blockhaus branch last Sunday. I think I'm in a position to give a good rating here, as I've eaten in almost every branch of the Blockhaus chain across Germany several times over the past 20 years. For example, the branch in Nuremberg is consistently mediocre. Bielefeld also service and quality of the dishes mediocre... Stuttgart the restaurant Arnulf Klett Platz is really at the lowest level... All branches in Hanover are top Munich, great Hamburg top Really consistently good quality service throughout the entire process. The branches that are doing well where the service is good are really Hagenau, always the same friendly welcome, friendly service for me, my wife and my son. The sauces are brought first and the side dishes are then served. The meat is always on point, the potatoes are hot and the sour cream is sufficient. And at the branches where everything is bad, the picture is always the same. The chef doesn't get the food right. For example, in Stuttgart my wife ordered a meat medium well And the meat came bloody The potato was almost cold Far too little sour cream My goulash soup lukewarm to cold The glass is unkempt and worn Inside the glass is chipping in some places.. The restaurant was of course very full and the chef still had to fulfill every wish of the guest. If the order is bloody then bloody through then through. The quality and cooking points of the steaks are always great. The service also copes well with the 12 o'clock rush. No long waiting times. A bit cramped, but an institution in Stuttgart. The interior was upgraded a little in the summer.

Was there for dinner with my wife at the weekend. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the "cold atmosphere" (subjective opinion, it's right next to Stuttgart main station). However, the waiters were very nice and friendly. I ordered a rump steak with baked potato, salad and bread. The salad came first and was really good and fresh with a delicious French dressing. Then came the rump steak...As soon as I cut it for the first time, I noticed how hard and tough it was. After using the knife hard, I cut off a piece and tried it. Unfortunately, it was hard to chew. I touched on another point and unfortunately that was the case. I'm not a fan of complaining and complaining, but unfortunately there was no other option here. The waiter was nice and took the steak away without any problem and said I would get a new one. In the meantime you brought me a bruschetta because of the waiting time (my wife already ate her food). A little later the next rump steak came. This was a little better than the first, but unfortunately still hard and relatively chewy. I did eat a few pieces, but I didn't enjoy it and I was too embarrassed to say anything again. The baked potato wasn't my cup of tea either. Maybe it was the meat, but I expect a different quality from a place that puts steak first. Unfortunately for me it was nothing that evening and actually only worth 1 star, although the good salad saves the 2 stars. To be fair, I have to say that a lot of people around me ate the same steak and from what we heard, they must have been good. Maybe I was unlucky twice, but I didn't imagine it (I let my wife try some of my meat and she "put it back on the plate"). It's actually a shame, but I've checked it off now.

I can only judge the lunch menu here. It's too crowded at lunchtime and the quality of the food suffers. Baked potatoes are not recommended as they are cooked for too short a time at a heat that is too high. Meat OK but not a highlight. Salad was very good.

The two of us were there on a Monday evening without a reservation. Getting a place was no problem. Drinks and food came very quickly. Everything tasted very good. My 500g T-bone steak was very tender and the cooking point was perfect, I can recommend it to every hungry guest. The price was reasonable for a steak restaurant. Would definitely come again.

We often go to the Blockhouse and have been happy with everything so far - the service and food have always been great. Yesterday the food was also great, but the waitress Maya was so unmotivated and almost annoyed with her customers that the evening was a disappointment. We'd love to come back but we're hoping for all the excellent waiters we've had the last few times :)

If possible even 10 stars You can simply eat great there. Had the filet mignon with baked potatoes and garlic bread. Simply great. After ordering you only had to wait 11 minutes. The waitresses always came before you. Ambiance is very calm and warm. In terms of price, it's not very expensive but quite normal. I would love to eat here again and again.

My recent visit to BLOCK HOUSE Arnulf-Klett-Platz was unfortunately a disappointing experience. Although the food was excellent and every dish tasted excellent, the waitress who served us was extremely rude to me. The way she acted towards me had a racist undertone that made me deeply uncomfortable. This was even noticed by my colleague who was by my side. I find it extremely important that servers treat all of their guests equally to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Delicious steak, modest portion size. The service is efficient and our food was ready very quickly. Dessert was traditional and well made apple strudel. Shrimp dish was smaller than expected and tasted strongly of dill, overpowering the shrimp and everything else. Alcoholic drinks were small for the price (except beer)

Best steak, have been going to the Block House in Munich for 35 years...here in Stuttgart it's just as good.. RipEye Herford...medium. ... Top..👍

The food was ok, but unfortunately the meat was a bit too cooked. Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with the service. Some of the waiters were rather busy with other things (talking about the pretty girls on the terrace...), so we had to wait a relatively long time until we could order or pay, for example. We weren't even said goodbye, even though we were specifically called into the group again and were definitely seen. When someone took the time, they were friendly. There's more going on and it hasn't happened to us in other block houses yet! Ambience is nice, toilets are clean!

The burgers aren't really served as burgers, although quite delicious , but the patty is served with a piece of yummy garlic bread. With a side of your choice, loved the baked potato with sour cream. A little too pricey though.

Very courteous waiters and waitresses. The food was of a high standard and very tasty, especially the steaks were cooked to perfection. Although there were only two of us there on our last visit, we were left sitting after almost an hour beyond the regular opening time and didn't pressure us to pay the bill.

I was at the restaurant for lunch. Service was good and quick too. But I can't recommend the food. My drink wasn't chilled and it was +30° outside. Fish was very crispy but unfortunately fried to death. In my opinion, the “fried” potatoes weren’t even in the pan. They were very light and lukewarm. Very unfortunate.

Excellent food! We had the avocado tartare and the filet mignon. The service is very friendly and accommodating.

A typical Block House branch. Easy access (outside the Hauptbahnhof metro station). As always with Block House and most other steak houses in Germany, the grilling is always a bit on the heavy side (the medium rare T-bone I ordered was once more a clear medium). The meats used are mainstream fare (nothing exquisite), so the prices are also kept at reasonable levels. Several good wine options by the glass. Decent option for a meat crave, but not more.

Since I can see what the dishes look like every day, that was really a joke. Handful of fries, two medallions that looked like leftover pieces of steak and a salad. It was really very good. I was happy and could finally afford that and then that. But I stand there every day, maybe I shouldn't do that.

There is always such beautiful singing here in the evenings. Jaques with his organ grinder and the little monkey also comes by again (there was probably an argument about the tip). Every now and then there are theme evenings. World War I, Star Trek, 70s disco… all guests and staff are always in costume. On Maria's fortieth birthday, Mike Krüger was even there and sang a few songs with the acoustic guitar. It was a very nice evening. Greetings to Marko and Sascha!

Pretty average steakhouse, you can't go wrong

Good meat well done. Daily menu with a sirloin and 23 euros is very good. Shame about the terrace service. We had to wait a long time to be served and they forgot what we asked for.

I came here for a quick and easy bite, had the steak special offer. The steak was just right with a portion of fries, coleslaw and bread. Good size, nice service. Good location for the shopping district.

EM Soccer Games - Stuttgart was crowded to a pin! We and our lg dog, a Podenca, under every table, there was another pedigree dog yapping ... Block House next to 5-star hotels always worth a visit. The steak was med rare as ordered, potato hot and steaming, great sour cream with fresh chives on top .... cheese running w bacon bits, a delight as actually Block House always is. For the dog, the accommodating waitress wrapped a t-bone in a bag - my dog was busy with that in the hotel for the next 2 hrs while we enjoyed the football game large screen in the lobby.

Unfortunately, I was charged for the significantly more expensive meal even though the meal was on the lunch menu with a different side dish. When I asked, the waiter said that I should have known that. Additionally, the meat was rare instead of medium rare. So quite disappointing for the price!

Very much enjoyed our dinner at this German chain steakhouse. Not many steak choices or meat varieties but what was offered was good quality meat cooked to perfection. Service was amazing, our waitress made sure that our children ate well and kept busy throughout our meal.

Worst dining experience in Stuttgart!!! The worst shop I could go to, very dirty toilets and very expensive prices, small portions of food, when we sat down to eat we were invaded by flies!!! Not allowed for a store in 2024!!!

Honestly, you really can't go wrong with the Block House. The steaks are delicious, the crispy garlic bread feels like it was invented here and the baked potato with sour cream is also an absolute classic! You can sit at the counter or in comfortable seating groupings. If you don't like meat, you can always have fish or vegetarian options on the menu. By the way, there is also lunch. Overall, a good, solid and well-rounded offer!

When I entered the store I was immediately pleased to be able to enjoy a rural atmosphere. I ordered the so-called cheeseburger with my colleagues. But when it came, I was in for a shock. Not only was there no salad on the “burger” but there was even a half of bread missing. After closer inspection, I realized it was a meatball with a slice of cheese on toasted bread. Despite the disappointing sight, I indulgently hoped it would taste good. However, when this didn't happen at all, I was very disappointed and decided not to visit this store anymore. A pity!
