It’s a restaurant that has an unbeatable standard in terms of meat. The accompaniments are all excellent. Special mention for the spinach. The salad is super fresh and the Italian dressing is delicious. The highlight of the show is the filet mignon. It’s simply heavenly. The service is very friendly. I reserved my table online. Everything worked very well. The fries were a little cold and the dessert choice a little limited. The menu is missing a hot brownie with vanilla ice cream.

Rating for the Block House at the main train station (visit on March 6th, 2025, 12:00 p.m.) Today at 12:00 p.m. I was in the Block House at the main train station. Unfortunately, when I entered the restaurant I was greeted by a somewhat unfriendly waitress with glasses, which somewhat spoiled my first impression. Luckily, I turned to the waiter Elma – and that was the best decision. He was exceptionally friendly, helpful and really took his time. I placed a takeout order with him for my mom to the hospital and he packed everything carefully. His warm and professional manner made my visit completely positive. A big thank you to Elma for the great service! Employees like this make the difference. Because of him I would like to come back. 🤲🏽🙏🏽✨🌷☀️👏🏽

Delicious food and friendly staff.

Located in what appears to be a bustling tourist district in downtown Stuttgart, the Block House steakhouse comes through. I found the food to be good and the prices to be reasonable. I was not impressed with the service - lackluster at best - but that seems to be common here in Stuttgart. I had the Barbecue Steak Teller from the American Bistro section of the menu. It was a good cut of meat properly cooked. The fries were perfect. It came with a ramekin of BBQ sauce. I also ordered a side of Teriyaki-Pfefferrahm-Sauce which was ok, but didn't seem to have any hint of teriyaki that I could notice. It was good and affordable so I'll definitely return. Probably not on a Friday or Saturday night though. It gets busy.

Very good price-performance ratio. Steak was cooked as requested and very good. The furnishings have been around for a few years, but everything is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere.

If you want to eat a good steak, you definitely can't go wrong with Block House. The quality of the meat is excellent and the taste is very good. Without a reservation and during the usual "meal times" you have to allow some time until you are assigned a free seat. The ambience is nice and befits a steakhouse. The service is attentive and helpful. Quality of the food (steak, baked potatoes, salad, dessert) as already mentioned was very good. We'll definitely come back when we're in the mood for a good steak.

It is very narrowly furnished and very loud, the employee was also very loud.

You are assigned a place and you take off your clothes. Then at some point you find out that the grill is broken, thank you never again.

The food was delicious! The service this time was not so good. The server wasn't attentive at all. We sat with our plates after we finished eating for a good 15 minutes before they were cleared even though she walked by the table quite a few times seemingly with nothing to do. After she finally cleared the plates and we turned down the desert, she disappeared from the dining room, after 20 minutes or so, we had to go to the bar and ask for our check, which was brought by another server.

What can I say? Perfect for meat lovers. Excellent quality and also a really friendly service and good organization. My new favorite restaurant!

Something went wrong with our reservation. The lady at reception treated us in an impossible way and was very rude. You don't have to put up with something like that, we left... the very last thing like that.

We got there shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday. We hadn't reserved a table. The staff toured the inn with us and enabled the four of us to eat there. The food came quickly, it tasted excellent and the steaks were cooked extremely well. A steak with bread was accidentally brought to the table even though fries were ordered as a side dish. Another portion of fries was brought without any problems or additional costs. The staff was very nice and helpful.

After waiting for 20 minutes we left without service. There was little going on.

The quality of the food has impressed us for many years. We ate delicious steaks and the side dishes and salads were also delicious. Highly child-friendly. Even without a reservation, you can often get a table with a short wait.

I have been to you many times. Today my child and I got together. My child slept during dinner and hardly ate his children's plate at all. After I finished eating the worker came to me and asked if she should clean up, I said it would be for the kids to take away, and at the end of the checkout she said I didn't say anything. It's totally fine if she admits she didn't hear, rather than saying I didn't say it, and that children's plates aren't that expensive and I can pay for them again (actually I ordered a whole new one). Dissatisfied experience.

A good older restaurant, the tables are a bit too low for tall people (1m80 upwards) the food is very tasty, the location is also good, can't fault it and can be recommended.

Rarely have I had such a good steak. Despite the full restaurant, super nice and great service, fast service, delicious salad as a starter with fresh ingredients and delicious dressing. Main course with delicious baked potatoes and sour cream, wine recommendation went well. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

I'm honestly surprised at the new price of the lunch special from €12.30 to €13.90. Huge increase and I seem to remember reading somewhere that the management wanted to reduce meat prices. With an increase of € 1.60 I hardly believe that 😒

I had the pleasure of being at the Block House Stuttgart at the end of the year. It was incredibly crowded and I was very grateful that I had reserved a table for myself and my companion in advance. I can't say what it's like on other days - but I can highly recommend a reservation. Upon entering we were warmly welcomed by a lady who was in charge of management and escorted to our table. This was truly exceptional as she was extremely friendly and accommodating. Shortly afterwards, an extremely dedicated waiter came to our table, who immediately brought us the cards and took our drink order. The service up to this point has been absolutely great - exactly how I imagine it! The menu was clear and clearly structured, which I think is great. There wasn't an endless selection of variations or add-ons like other steak restaurants. This made it quick and easy for us to decide on our dishes. And what can I say? The food was simply excellent. I haven't eaten as good a steak restaurant as I did here in a long time. You'll see it in the pictures - the quality was excellent, every detail was right, and it was a real treat! After dinner, I took the legendary pepper mixture to take home with me - a must for every fan of this house. I can only recommend everyone to come here. The food is first class and the service is second to none.

We went to the Block House for dinner and ate all rump steak, the food was great, the location was great and our service was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that bothered us was that we made a reservation and still had to wait a few minutes for our table.

Arrived shortly before closing time. But we still got something to eat. We both ordered medium sirloin steak. Mine was medium, my companion's was too well done. And unfortunately the meat of my companion was somehow sour, i.e. overturned. He received a new one after complaining. It was just that it was very done. But at least it didn't tip over. Otherwise everything was ok. It's just a shame when it's very difficult to find a restaurant that's open on a Sunday evening in a "big" city like Stuttgart...

It's a very good dining experience. I found it very successful in steak. The cooking condition and softness of the meat was great. The spicing was not exaggerated and ideal. I asked for yoghurt dressing for the salad they brought before the meal and I LOVED it. The potatoes that came with the meat were cooked very well. The toast that came with the meat was very tasty. The prices are reasonable for such a restaurant. I recommend it!

After eight years we finally did it and it was my first time in the Block House. We were served very nicely and politely by Tekin. You want a waiter like that everywhere. The food is very, very good. I had a rip eye steak medium fried and it was spot on. Respect to the kitchen. The food is excellent considering it's a chain. You don't have to wait long for service or for the food for us - not the last time.

Disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow, with endless waiting for the order to be taken and the dishes to arrive. The staff clearly lacked professionalism and seemed nonchalant, even indifferent to our requests. What is even more shocking is the discriminatory attitude felt during our visit. Unacceptable behavior in an establishment supposed to welcome everyone. I strongly advise against this place

Here at the Block House you get the best meat. That also has its price for good quality and organic. It's not for those on a budget. Here attention is paid to the two and it is also easy to control. That gave me a very good feeling. Meat is simply delicious and top notch.

They cook very delicious steak in a cozy place with nice service

I was very disappointed with my visit. The toilets were in an extremely dirty condition, which is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant. When I tried to bring this to the attention of the responsible staff, I was completely ignored. Such behavior leaves a very bad impression on guests. Hygiene and treating customers with respect should be top priorities in a restaurant. I hope that urgent improvements are made here.

I came in here at lunchtime when lunch was really busy and was given a place at the counter. But it wasn't too bad. The service (thanks, Maya!!) was attentive and quick, overall I found it nice and impressive to see how the team works together really well even when they're at full steam and there's always time for a funny saying in the team. The dish (barbecue steak plate with fries) was excellent. So: see you again soon.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant based on a recommendation. The food was very tasty and the service was attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, but a bit louder due to the large restaurant. However, it was still possible to have a good conversation. Since we were there at 5:30 p.m., we got a table without a reservation. However, the restaurant was full by the time we left at around 7:30 p.m. The prices are completely reasonable and the meat is cooked to perfection. So I can highly recommend it to everyone.

Conveniently located just next to the train station, the Block House is a place that specialises in steaks. Naturally, the steaks are the star of the place, and they are perfectly done to your preferred wellness. At medium rare, the Hereford ribeye was succulent and melted in your mouth. Many of the steaks also come with a healthy portion of salad. Service was friendly and polite, while the place had a warm and cosy feel. The place has a English menu, and the servers can converse fluently in English.

The best thing at the beginning 👌🏾 Service was super friendly, but the food was catastrophic 💵 and way too expensive 🍔 Burger New York Style was missing the top part of the bun 🥩 Beef carpaccio from the well-known supermarket chains is cheaper and much tastier 🦃 Turkey steak children's portion, but adult price paid. I don't want to comment anymore on dessert. My new air fryer from Kennwood, which is on sale for 77 euros, makes tastier food.

Unfortunately, my ribeye steak smelled inedible of burnt fat. My wife was happy with her cheeseburger but unfortunately I came away empty-handed. We didn't complain but we wouldn't visit the Block House again. The service was OK.

We were welcomed at the entrance and shown to the table because we had reserved. Although they apologized for one or two delays at the beginning of the evening, we were always attentively looked after and served promptly. The dry-aged rump steak was exactly medium and was on the table quicker than expected. The salad was previously fresh, really colorful and varied, dressed with classic Italian or creamy French dressing. There was also garlic bread and a baked potato covered in sour cream. All in all not cheap but good value for money because it was also dry-aged rump steak... For me, the size choice could be something larger, but that's complaining at a high level. We would like to thank you for a lovely Sunday meal and look forward to next time!

We've been coming to the Blockhouse for years! Sirloin steak with pepper sauce! Salad etc. Apart from the fact that the portions have now become smaller, the pepper sauce was inedible. Way too much sugar! What a shame!! We won't be coming back for a while! What I would still like to mention is that the staff was very friendly!

I went there twice and I liked it because it was delicious, friendly, and most of all, unlike other steakhouses nearby, there was no pressure to tip.

Very tasty food, great service. We were there with six people for a birthday. The staff were super hospitable and our two kids were really pampered with little gifts... we found the small champagne drink with a sparkler on the house (orange juice for the kids) particularly charming, and the highlight was a souvenir photo of all of us with a nice card and signatures from the employees. We felt very cared for and welcome, many thanks to Elena and her colleagues - we look forward to seeing each other again soon

Bad and very rude waiter. The food was ok. But not particularly. You feel like you're in a departure hall.

After our trip to the cinema we were spontaneously hungry for a juicy piece of “meat” and ended up in the Blockhouse. We didn't have a table reservation for prime time at 7:30 p.m. But it wasn't a problem, after 5 minutes of waiting the three of us were assigned a seat at the window. The service from Marija was quick, courteous and friendly. The salads were freshly dressed with the French dressing, overall tasty and crunchy. The meat (Mr and Mrs rump steak and a Hereford rib-eye) was, as expected, tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Many thanks to the Block House team: we would be happy to come back soon.

To wait for the train ok. The Caesar salad was rotten with lots of yellowed salar leaves. The garlic roast was flabby and not crispy. The fries were soft and limp. The beer was at least highly recommended. Cool and well tapped.

The ambience inside is nice, but the front of the store is very disgusting. The food… where to start Starter was okay, but you didn't notice any quality. For the main course we had the New York Style Cheeseburger. If I had known that it wasn't a burger at all, but rather a patty with cheese placed on a dripping baguette bread, I certainly wouldn't have ordered it. The fries also tasted like they came from the nearest discount store. The staff speaks poor German, just enough to be able to take the order, which was not properly understood and was simply typed in despite a “no”. That's not a prejudice, but in a respectable restaurant it should at least work or work better. For the money it's definitely not worth visiting this restaurant/chain. 1 star because it's mostly about the food and that was horrible.

The food, service and ambiance were amazing. Our server, Elma, was friendly and even gave my son a token. Although my son is a picky eater, he loved his beef nuggets. This is the best restaurant we visited in Stuttgart.

Mixed feedback: Service great, starter was good, salad too, the steak was rather disappointing, medium meant that it was cold inside and the Malbec also tasted like the bottle had been open for a long time. The surprise came when I got the bill: instead of the fries or the baked potato, we simply asked for a little more cole slaw to be served. We then had to pay an extra 7 euros for this. The carbs were gratefully left out, but the cole slaw was charged extra. This hasn't happened to me in years.

Typical traditional menu with also vegetarian options and a menu dedicated to children. The service is extra fast. The environment is reminiscent of a mountain one but with a modern note.
