We had Josef as our guest, great guy. The food was also excellent. Highly recommended. Combined with neotaste, it was a great experience.

We were very pleased with the atmosphere, the speed of the service and the delicious food. The steaks were quite delicious and the portions were sufficient. It is absolutely necessary to make a reservation in advance.

The ambiance was tasteless, and the noise level resembled a waiting room. The herb butter was forgotten in our order and never brought, although it was added to the bill. The meat was good, and the side dishes were okay. For the same price, Blockhaus and Abaccos offer significantly more. There were still plenty of free tables for a Saturday evening. We will avoid this restaurant in the future 💔.

We had a reservation for 12:30. The service was very friendly. The food was really delicious, and the portions were definitely generous. Excellent value for money. We'd gladly come again!

Any order you make will be delivered after 20-30 minutes, that's if it comes at all! We ordered drinks that did not get delivered until we left, despite reminding 3 different colleagues. Very frustrating experience.

The restaurant's first impression was very positive: The entrance is modern and inviting, and although the climb up the stairs is a bit strenuous, it's still manageable. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by a staff member and shown to our table. Shortly afterward, a waiter came to take our order. His body language and manner of responding immediately revealed that he was anything but professional. Unfortunately, this impression was confirmed as the evening progressed. The food itself was excellent – ​​absolutely nothing to complain about. The kitchen does outstanding work. The service, however, was disappointing: While I was briefly in the restroom, the waiter flirted inappropriately with my wife. We also observed him making almost aggressive comments about the woman taking our order at the next table and placing items on the table carelessly. Throughout the entire evening, he never once came to our table to ask if everything was alright or if we needed anything else. Conclusion: • Top-notch cuisine, highly recommended for its deliciousness. ``` • Service was inadequate – unprofessional behavior, inattentiveness, and at times rudeness. It's a shame, because with such good food, the evening could have been much more enjoyable.

Maredo in Stuttgart is a good steak restaurant. The service is a little too much: Too late, too overachieving, too slow. The steaks however were perfect. Very kid-friendly.

Sorry guys, you've really gone downhill! If I order food costing €40 or more and then get such a mess, including the fact that they can't even serve five meals at once, and then things are missing, it won't be long before your place is empty. Five people ordered medium rump steaks, and four of them only ate them because they had to cook them to medium themselves using a hot stone. One person left without eating because, despite three attempts, they couldn't get a 350g rump steak cooked to medium. Seriously, in a steakhouse, you should be able to expect that; that's why people come to you. A server who constantly justifies herself by saying it's not her fault shows, firstly, that the problems must be significant, and secondly, it's incompetence to treat customers like that. We paid almost €300 for four meals and three bottles of wine and would have stayed longer if everything had been better. The way those two hours went, after years of satisfaction, this was our last visit. Table 07/11/2025

Hello, I was really looking forward to coming to Maredo again... Unfortunately, they no longer have a salad bar, which was always the main reason we came. The cheeseburger was good. The salad I ordered had a good dressing, but unfortunately, there was only one small tomato on it. The potato had very little sauce, and the small extra dish cost €3. I mean, I can't eat it dry. The spare ribs were a decent portion, but they could have been a bit warmer. You can definitely go there, but there's room for improvement. The entrance area and the stairs could be cleaner. The toilet bowl in the men's restroom is broken... It could be a bit more well-maintained.

We drove all the way from Lake Constance to MAREDO. Yesterday, for example, on my 60th birthday, we were completely relaxed. Angelos greeted us warmly at the reception. The staff at this restaurant is particularly friendly. Unfortunately, we've had different experiences. The meat is ALWAYS top quality and cooked to perfection. The salad bar is sensational❣️ So we can no longer confirm this good review‼️☝️ It has deteriorated considerably!!! We just drove over an hour to Stuttgart. The wonderful salad buffet, which I drive to THIS steakhouse for, is no longer available! There was boring leaf salad. It would have had cucumbers and tomatoes on it, but I don't eat that. The great steak pepper bar, which was always on the table, was replaced with simple pepper and salt. The mule appetizer was completely tasteless and stale. The grilled vegetables were overcooked and cold. The fillet was first-class, but unfortunately, the "hot stone" now costs €5, and mine was only warm after five minutes. Since I had a fillet, I ate it almost raw. The service was imperceptible, and I didn't feel like paying another €5 for another "hot stone"! We're not coming back! The special thing that made us drive to Stuttgart for steak for years is gone! It's nothing special anymore. The side dish is also served lukewarm on the plate. Other steakhouses are closer, with equally boring standards. It's a shame that the "special" that made this place stand out has been replaced by boring standards. Such a shame! It's no surprise that such a once-great steakhouse is going bankrupt! 👎👎👎 The first three photos are from our birthday dinner. The last one is from today.

The food was more reminiscent of a chain restaurant; unfortunately, it wasn't particularly high-quality or outstanding in terms of taste, but overall it was okay. However, if you're looking for fresh meat or good-quality steaks, this isn't the place for you.

But unfortunately, MAREDO has eliminated the salad buffet, which was always our main reason for visiting the restaurant. The special pepper steak was actually quite good, but to serve it without pepper sauce, especially because they'd run out, is quite something 😅.

We were booked for a steak tasting (two people). Unfortunately, we were the only ones that afternoon. We were almost the only guests. At first, the waiter was very rude. I asked if he was nervous. His answer: Not him, but maybe me? Oops!! The starter was very good. The promised welcome drink only arrived after I asked. Then the waiter became friendlier. The main course was served on a hot stone. No information about the origin of the meat. We learned little worth knowing and no information. Good quality, plenty. The toilet seat was cracked. Cleanliness, okay! Not recommended for this price. We were looking forward to it and were disappointed 😞

We were a bit skeptical after reading the reviews BEFORE our visit. All the more amazing that we experienced an excellent evening with outstanding service. We've been following a ketogenic diet for some time now. Eating out is a real challenge... except at MAREDO in Stuttgart. We didn't feel silly asking if some of the side dishes contained sugar. Ramona took us seriously, and the kitchen brought us fantastic rib-eye steaks with vegetables that were perfect for us. THAT was fantastic service!!! Thank you so much! And - WE highly recommend MAREDO Stuttgart. Absolutely worth a visit!!! Both the service and the food and the location overall.

Today we were at Maredo Stuttgart for the first time in a long time. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. Thanks to Joseph and his colleague. We'll definitely be back.

The two of us went to Maredo Stuttgart, armed with Jochen Schweizer vouchers. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to a lovely table by the window. There was a free aperitif (including a J. Schweizer) to start with. The friendly waitress brought the appetizer – beef carpaccio with honey mustard dressing and arugula, Parmesan, and vegetable side dishes. This was followed by three courses (always two types of meat) of various steaks, each with a different side dish. Everything (grilled corn, pasta with cheese, grilled vegetables, potato wedges, grilled peppers). There could have been more; we had to tell our friend at the waitress: no more side dishes, please. We would have burst otherwise. To finish, there was dessert (three slices of cake and two scoops of ice cream). Everything, the quality and quantity of the meat, and the friendliness left nothing to be desired. Great team. A special mention should be made: with each meat course, there was a hot stone (sprinkled with various herbs and salts) in the middle of the table, where you could continue to cook the meat if medium/medium rare wasn't enough. We all got steaks and every single one of them came out cold and severely undercooked. I informed the staff and they tried to upsell me on hot stones so I could cook the steak they didn't.

We were there on a Monday, unaware that on that day, every burger comes with a free portion of fries. Since we wanted to eat burgers anyway, this came in very handy. There wasn't much to choose from: Cheeseburger, BBQ burger, and a vegan option. I tried the BBQ burger. The meat was well-done; I would have preferred medium, but I didn't say anything beforehand, so it wasn't a big deal. The portion of fries was decent, the onion rings were large, and the burger was well-filled. The taste was solid to good, 6.5-7/10. The mayonnaise was probably homemade, unfortunately not my cup of tea; it tasted too much like egg, but others might like that. The service was very friendly and quick, but it wasn't busy either.

I also didn't know that you could already get carbonated tap water. I'd better not say anything about the price.

We wanted to treat ourselves to something special during our visit to the restaurant in Stuttgart today and ordered Châteaubriand, which is usually offered for two people. The meat was, as usual, fantastic, but dear MAREDO team, please read up on how a 'real' Châteaubriand is usually served. Not in one piece and not without sauce. Quote from a Google search: "It is often roasted or grilled whole and then served sliced. Traditionally, it is served with Béarnaise sauce, Choron sauce, or other fine sauces." It's a shame that we had to order these separately, and the price wasn't so much of a concern for me. Our server, Joseph, was very friendly and accommodating.

I was there in May and tried to redeem a coupon using the Maredo app. I was told they hadn't been able to redeem coupons for two weeks (!) due to an alleged technical glitch. The troubleshooting process seemed a bit slow, but I accepted it. Unfortunately, the service didn't really improve the mood. Even though the restaurant was practically empty, the service was very slow. After waiting forever to be assigned a table and no one came, I chose a table myself. Unfortunately, it also took a long time from ordering to serving the food, considering there were hardly any customers. My last visit in June was no better. This time, the staff had no idea how to redeem the Maredo coupons in the ordering system. At least they made an effort to inquire. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that although my drink coupon had been redeemed, I was then charged for a second, identical drink. With a larger order, it's not immediately obvious that a drink has been overcharged, but it's still annoying as a guest. I therefore wouldn't recommend Maredo. The staff are poorly trained, plus the bill is incorrect, leaving the guest to pay extra. I'd rather go to another steakhouse. ADDITIONAL NOTE: I've downgraded my rating from 2 stars to 1 star. Following Maredo's comment, I contacted the email address provided. To date, no response despite reminders. It doesn't make a good impression to announce something to customers (be it through the app or customer service) and then not follow through.

An all-around successful visit! The steak was cooked to perfection and of excellent quality. I particularly enjoyed the wide selection of side dishes and the fresh salad buffet. The service was attentive, friendly, and always there, without being intrusive. The ambiance is also cozy and inviting. I'd love to come back – an absolute recommendation for all steak lovers!

I ordered the T-bone. The meat was flavorless and not cooked medium. They kindly took it back, but the second one was also cooked thoroughly. Probably due to the small thickness, not even 1 cm. A disappointment for €60. The mac and cheese was also very disappointing. A small bowl for €7. Everything was very poorly presented.

The beef salad was inedible. There was too much dressing, and the meat was very tough. It was almost impossible to chew. The salad bar is gone, which is why my companion was so keen to come here. My first and last visit. What a shame.

Maredo is our favourite! Had Maredo first around 12 years ago and I love it ever since. So sad that they closed down several places in other cities in Germany.

Ein Maredo sollte gute Steaks bieten können. Ich bestellte ein Filetsteak 180g für knapp 30,- € und als Beilage eine Folienkartoffel für zusätzlich 4,50 € (teuer!!) Ich bestellte das Filet Medium - es kam well done. Es wurde problemlos zurück genommen und bekam ein neues. Leider war das noch leicht blutig weich, aber das Hauptproblem war, dass es sehr zäh war und nicht zart, wie man es vom Filet erwartet. Immerhin für 30 € !!!! Auch das ging zurück und verzichtete auf den dritten Versuch. Fairer Weise wurde es nicht berechnet. Aber die Frage bleibt: wie kann ein Steaklokal bestehen, ohne Fleisch braten zu können und gutes, zartes Fleisch zu liefern. Von einem weiteren Besuch werde ich absehen.

We didn't eat there. We went in, were greeted warmly... then it took a while to get the menus... and we were totally disappointed. Nothing on the menu was the same as it used to be. The one near us has been closed for quite some time, which is why we would have treated ourselves to it during our vacation in Stuttgart. But unfortunately, the dishes didn't impress us. What a shame.

We've been there several times. But yesterday was the last time. If a steakhouse can't get both menus cooked to the right degree, the waitress had no idea what the individual ingredients on the menu were. It was almost empty, too. And that was on a Saturday at 8 p.m. That speaks for itself. The menu is completely new. There's no salad buffet anymore. The menu is manageable. The meat is mediocre. It's a shame, we've always enjoyed our visit.

Wir waren eigentlich immer gerne im Maredo Stuttgart zum Essen, auch wegen dem leckeren Salatbüffet. Dies wird jetzt leider nicht mehr Angeboten. Dafür gibt es jetzt einen Salat aus der Küche für teures Geld und die Qualität im allgemeinen hat auch nachgelassen. Wir werde das Maredo zukünftig meiden.
