Schade. Irgendwas läuft da schief. Das Konzept gleich wie andere Steakhäuser. Jedoch funktioniert es anscheinend nicht. Für Samstag Abend ziemlich leer. Die Lokale rundherum jedoch bestens besucht, trotz ähnlicher Preisklasse. Steaks ab 21 Euro aufwärts. Premium Cuts ab 99 Euro. Beilagen kosten alle extra. Das Salatbuffet ist nicht mehr so vielfältig wie früher und teilweise auch nicht frisch. Die 10 Euro dafür fast unverschämt. Dafür war das bestellte Hüftsteak medium und gut.

Ich war etwas geschickt über die Preise. Das Angebot zu 17,90 (Hüftsteak, Pommes) war top. Allerdings war das RibEye sehr teuer und trotz 250g wirkte es deutlich kleiner als 250g und war auch optisch nicht sonderlich schön. Hinzu kam eine verschimmelte Tomate auf dem Teller. Bei der Preisklasse ein No-Go. Insgesamt über 40 Euro mit ein paar Beilagen und Dips. Sparerips das einzige Gericht was nicht vom Rind ist war preislich auch eher zu teuer. War damit unser letzter Besuch bei Maredo. Hätten wir keinen 15% Gutschein gehabt, hätte ich mich noch mehr geärgert. Insgesamt gesehen gib es bessere Akternativen.

Das Essen war völlig ungewürzt und geschmacklos, das Fleisch war kein Rindfleisch, wie es auf der Speisekarte steht, sondern Lammfleisch, der Kellner war nicht der höflichste!!

Vor einigen Jahren maßlos enttäuscht, wollte ich "Maredo" nochmal eine Chance geben, ...vergebens.... Bestellt wurde "Ziegenkäse-Salat" Bunte Salatmischung | Apfel Balsamico Vinaigrette | Ziegenkäse | Radieschen | Rote Beete⁷ | Walnüsse | Apfelstücke | Honig | Gartenkresse, Knoblauchbrot...was ich bekommen hatte, hat in mir tatsächlich die Vergesslichkeit ein Photo zu machen, ausgelöst.....geliefert durch eine freundliche Bedienung wurde: eine Handvoll Salatmischung ähnlich wie vom Discounter aus der Tüte, also Blattsalatmischung mit etwas Karottenraspel, Balsamico und Ziegenkäse, vermutlich vergessen wurde jedoch und zwar komplett: Radieschen Rote Beete Walnüsse Apfelstücke Gartenkresse Knoblauchbrot mit diesem Teller wäre der Koch garantiert durch die Gesellenprüfung geflogen, wären wir nicht in einer größeren Gruppe dort gewesen, hätte ich mich mal so richtig beschwert, hätte es auch wie einer meiner Vor-Redner auf einen Polizeieinsatz ankommen lassen, hierfür 19 Euro zu verlangen ... ohne Worte, daher von mir NIE-WIEDER

First of all, the service was nice and the ambience was nice. But and this is a big BUT, if I order an entrecôte “medium” with rosemary potatoes, I don’t want cold potatoes or raw steak! Conclusion: Friday evening steak, Saturday morning food poisoning and the weekend spent on the toilet. Thank you for the unforgettable visit :)!!! After the MAREDO team contacted us to ask for clarification, there was simply no response.

Selected side dish, dip not available, only served for one person out of 2 meals ordered, second meal only prepared upon request. Tables not cleaned in a timely manner. Fries cold. The salad buffet was mostly almost empty, some of it seemed dried out (ruccola). The doneness level of the sirloin steak (medium) was right. I've had better experiences at Maredo. Today there was room for improvement

We have been regular guests at Maredo in Stuttgart for years and have always been very satisfied. The food is delicious and the selection and freshness at the buffet is great! The service person Fatima deserves special mention. She is always friendly, courteous, quick and always has a smile on her face. We'd love to come back!

I did not even try it. I checked the menu at the entrance - the prices were enormously high. I compared it to Maredo in Berlin and Frankfurt where I used to visit it often. In Stuttgart it is 2-3x higher. It is some different Maredo than I usually visited, this is why I did not even enter.

Snezana and Rauf provided excellent service and the food was very good. I definitely recommend.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience Our evening started with a steak that was not cooked medium rare as ordered, but almost completely cooked through. The sweet potato fries were served cold, and the second portion of fries was initially completely forgotten. It was only brought after we asked, but at least it was hot. The Aperol Spritz I ordered consisted almost entirely of water and ice cubes. To make matters worse, we ended up being incorrectly charged for the buffet even though we never ordered it. All in all, it was an evening that you would quickly want to forget. This was particularly disappointing because the restaurant only had three occupied tables inside at 7 p.m. Under these circumstances I cannot recommend the restaurant nor do I plan to visit it again.

Wir haben das Angebot Flanksteak mit Beilagen für 22€ gewählt. Das Steak war ungenießbar und auch die Beilagen waren nicht ok. Kräuterbutter kam ungekühlt und fast flüssig. Nach Jahrzehnten Maredo Fan verabschieden wir uns und wechseln ins Blockhaus!!! Am Nebentisch auch nur lange Gesichter-wo ist das alte Maredo nach dem Aus in den vergangenen Jahren und dem Neustart nun gelandet!!!

The food was okay but nothing earth-shattering...

Fatma welcomed us very friendly at the Maredo Stuttgart. She was able to advise us very well when choosing our lunch. When she later asked briefly whether the food tasted good, we said yes. Fatma told us that the chef had another task to complete at short notice and she seared the steaks perfectly for us so that we didn't have to wait any longer. This was excellent service from Fatma and great service overall.

We've been there several times now, regular customers. Friends and family gatherings are always the best place to chill out and eat comfortably. Grilled steak was very good, chili cheeseburger is absolutely delicious and fresh. Only in summer you have to pay attention to the fresh salad 😃my recommendation, otherwise perfect as always. I recommend further.

Conditions were really TOP! Steak exactly as it should be. Salad, extremely expensive! €9.90 for a salad is really outrageous. Steak for 10€/100g. borderline. There are real alternatives nearby.

Was there for the first time today. I was a little shocked at first, it was pretty empty at 6 p.m., but then it filled up a lot after us. The fillet steak was very tender, delicious and cooked medium rare. In terms of price, you can't get away with a side dish and drink for less than 40 euros, but you can treat yourself every now and then. Gladly again.

Unterbesetzt im Service-Personal teilweise etwas ungeschickt im Umgang mit den Gästen. Wollte beispielsweise ganz am Schluss der Bestellung doch noch Gemüse bestellen. Service meinte "Oh nein, jetzt muss ich alles nochmals stornieren. Glauben Sie mir was sie bestellt haben ist ausreichend für sie". Fleisch entsprach überhaupt nicht dem Gargrad. Es was eine Schuhsohle, obwohl Medium bestellt. Es gab erneut Diskussionen mit dem Service was nicht nötig gewesen ist. Der Fehler war offensichtlich. Der zweite Versuch war dann ausgezeichnet. Alles jedoch sehr lieblos angerichtet. Eine Weiterempfehlung kann ich nicht aussprechen. Block House macht das wesentlich besser.

Im Vergleich zu Block House und vor allem Abaccos viel schlechter und viel zu teuer. Alles muss extra bezahlt werden bei einer Steakbestellung. Keine Beilage dabei, keine Sosse, kein Salat. Fleisch geschmacklich auch nichts das Niveau von Abaccos.

Went here spontaneously for dinner on a recent Saturday evening. We didn't need a reservation because there wasn't really much going on anymore. The service was top. The steaks were ok, but I personally think the direct competition here is a lot better. Personally, I think that the location of the Maredo is not ideal. If you are from out of town like us, then you have to know that there is a steakhouse there. Here, too, the competition at the front of the street is a little better positioned and at least that evening at that time it was significantly better attended than the Maredo.

Unfortunately it's no longer the Maredo it once was 😏 I went to Maredo for years but since the reopening and takeover everything has gone downhill... Bad service and unfriendly 👎

Das Essen war ganz in Ordnung, hat geschmeckt. Der Nachtisch war auch ok, allerdings wurde der Espresso vergessen und es hat dann ziemlich lange gedauert, bis der kam, obwohl nicht sehr viel los war.

Die Tagesempfehlung war ein "Steak Deal" mit argentinischem Entrecote , Ofenkartoffel und Salat vom Buffet für 27,50. Hat sich gut angehört. Fleisch war aber sehr durchwachsen und bestellte Zubereitung "medium" war an manchen Stellen eher "englisch" und überhaupt nicht gewürzt. Mit Salz / Pfeffer in verschiedenen Variationen am Tisch war es dann gut essbar. Salatbar ausgesprochen vielseitig und frisch mit 4 Saucen und empfehlenswert. Also Preis/Leistung war noch OK, aber meiner Meinung nach war das Fleisch eher zweitklassig.

The two of us have been here for lunch for a long time. I have to say that I expected it to be much more positive. I particularly found the prices to have risen more than in other restaurants The salad buffet was very good, but at €9.90 (1 plate) it was also very expensive. A really small sirloin steak for almost €12.00 without any side dish. 1 beer, 1 soft drink. together €53.00! Too much for lunch. I'll go somewhere else next time.

My friend had his Christmas party inside this steakhouse. The food was brought to the table quickly and he enjoyed it. The steak met his preferences. However, you couldn't reserve the table for a longer period of time, so you had to leave it again soon. The advantage here, however, was that less money was spent.

Serviceleistung ließ zu Wünschen übrig und die Preise sind extrem gestiegen seit unserem letzten Besuch. Essen war sehr gut.

Ich hatte die Illusion, dass Maredo ein ordentliches Restaurant sei und sich von den anderen Steakanbietern in der direkten Nachbarschaft abheben wollen würde. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht, dass das Brisket derzeit aus sei. Kann ja passieren. Die bestellten Burger spotteten jeder Beschreibung. Das sehr gute Fleisch wurde eingerahmt von läbrig weichen Brötchen, zu den Pommes gab es Ketchup und Mayo erst auf Nachfrage. Die Mayonnaise hatte offensichtlich bereits einige Zeit in ihrem Schälchen im Kühlschrank hinter sich, denn sie war bereits zu Gelee geworden. Dass die Toilette nicht sonderlich sauber war und die Seifenbehälter leer hat mich bei der restlichen Erfahrung dann nicht weiter überrascht.

So sorry, that has nothing to do with eating steak anymore. Maredo is no longer what it used to be, the meat was raw and the fries were poor, I can't say anything more about it. Yes, you can grill it 👏 but that's not the point. This shouldn't happen at a steak house. Hardly any taste or anything. 160€ for 4 meals isn't even good and prices like that don't fit any relation. A pity.

We ordered 2 dishes and I went in with high expectations. Since the prices are above average (for my standards), I expected the meat to taste better than in previous restaurants I've been to. Unfortunately, I realized that I paid too much for average quality. The taste was good. But I personally didn't like the consistency. My partner was actually more positive and liked it more. So it's more of a personal feeling on my part that I just generally don't like the consistency of steak. I like the meat to be more tender. 🙈 I was then able to choose something from the salad buffet in my menu and I left my steak to my partner and went for the buffet. ☺️ Next time I'll try salad with chicken. We would love to come back because the overall concept is very nice. The interior design and service were very satisfactory.

Kurz nach 7.30pm kamen ca. 100 italienische Schüler 14-15 Jahre alt ins Steakhouse und mit der Ruhe war es vorbei, dabei wurde dann meine Rechnung statt mit 2x Salat mit 4x Salat berechnet… 10 € Zuviel

Central location in Stuttgart. The atmosphere is okay but nothing special. Price is rather more expensive (juice spritzer costs almost 5 euros). The food was good. I had a salad from the buffet - it was exceptionally good. There was a large selection and also special items such as antipasti to choose from.

Positive das Fleisch war sehr gut und die Bedienung auch sehr freundlich, allerdings Ambiente stark runtergerammelt, Polsterstühle dreckig, in der Toilette klebt man am Boden und die Ecken sehr dreckig, war vor paar Wochen auch schon so. Teller lieblos angerichtet, Fleisch und Pommes wie draufgeschmissen, das Preis,-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht mehr bei Maredo. Wir werden dieses Lokal in Zukunft meiden, 100 m weiter gibt es ein besseres

*** U N G L A U B L I C H *** Nach dem Essen habe ich einen Doppel-Espresso bestellt. Bekam stattdessen einen Espresso-Longo. Habe ihn stehenlassen und den Kellner informiert, dass ich das nicht bestellt habe. In der Rechnung war der Espresso jedoch angerechnet. Ich habe die Rechnung bezahlt, abzgl. der €4,50 für den falschen Espresso. Jetzt kommt‘s: Maredo alarmierte die Polizei!!! Ein Streifenwagen kam mit Blaulicht angefahren!!! Ich wurde verhört!!! Habe gesagt, was ich verzehrt habe ist bezahlt. Ein Espresso-Longo den ich nicht bestellt noch getrunken habe, werde ich nicht bezahlen. Unglaublich, aber wahr!!!!!!!

Ein super eingespieltes Team. Wir wurden nett und höflich empfangen und sind danach auch zu unserm Tisch geleitet worden. Das Essen war top, der Service hatte immer ein wachsames Auge auf die Kundschaft gehabt. Es wurden immer höflich nachgefragt ob man noch was möchte und ob alles recht war. Dachher kann ist das Maredo in Stuttgart nur gerne weiterempfehlen.

Disappointing. For €90 I get a medium rare steak. But I wanted medium. Of course the waiter explained that this was medium for him. It had a minimal edge that was through, the core was simply raw. He then took it with him again and the meat was good. Unfortunately the fries are no longer available. Cold and way too crispy. The carpaccio was not good for 17 euros. Simply bland. It's a shame because I normally really like that. But the sauce was good. The beer was tasty too. But I definitely won't visit the Maredo again. I was with the waiter who gave the impression that we were bothering him while he visited the table with the women significantly more often.

We made a reservation by phone an hour before closing time. I was promised. We arrived as agreed and on time and found that the kitchen had changed its mind and was already closed. So we set off completely unnecessarily and could have saved ourselves the journey. Unfortunately, there was no appropriate response as one would expect. According to the reception staff, the reservation was not passed on from the head office. Apparently something isn't working quite right. It's a shame, we would have liked to try the burgers.

Nice steakhouse in the pedestrian zone. Usual Maredo selection of steaks and side dishes. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The steak came quickly and was cooked to perfection.

Pretty unsatisfying experience. Salad bar is nice, the steaks though, leave a lot to be desired. Staff was a bit odd and rude at times. Pretty direct, and with a bossy undertone "Only ONE plate from the salad bar"… no problem with that, just with the way it was said. Were a group of four, ordered four steaks - all of them cooked medium. However, three of the steaks arrived rare, one of which was basically raw, the fourth was medium-rare. The waiter tried to convince us that this was cooked correctly. Well… if you want a decent steak from one of the big restaurants, rather go to Blockhouse or Abacco.

Ordered through Lieferando. After an hour and 30 minutes we got our burgers. Unfortunately the food was cold and very expensive.

Ich komme schon seit 2012 regelmäßig ins Maredo und bin absolut begeistert, vor allem von der Qualität des Essens. Ich kann nur jedem Steakliebhaber das Maredo bestens empfehlen.

Long waiting times at the entrance and at the table. Far too few staff and when the food was finally served the steak was fibrous. The two loveless tomatoes have laid down with the shriveled baked potato. Unfortunately, the restaurant management only responded sparingly to the feedback. It's a shame Maredo that won't work and the competition in the area shows how it can be done better!

Very disappointing...the menu looked greasy, the glasses weren't clean, and when the food came it turned out to be the wrong burger and they also forgot the garlic bread. It didn't get any better... the meat was tough and the burger bun was soggy, like the burger had been sitting around all day. So I thought it was a real waste of money.

Despite reservations, we had to wait in the aisle as ordered and not picked up. They were initially refused if they asked to sit down at a free high table and order drinks before then. Unfortunately, the meat in the burgers was really not of good quality and unexpectedly bad for a steakhouse. Given the relatively high prices for steaks, charging €1 for ketchup or mayo is not appropriate in a restaurant like this. We probably won't visit the restaurant again.

That was the worst Rump steak I've ever eaten. Half was raw and very musty. The boss didn't take any notice of the complaint. Maredo - never again!!!!

A rare steak restaurant that also has a children's play area. Thanks to this, adults can enjoy a steak dinner without any stress. The side dishes of spinach and mushrooms are also delicious.

We recently went to Maredo for lunch. The food was super tasty, the salad buffet had a huge selection and in the deal the 250g steak plus a huge salad plate cost just €20. I thought it was great! So only recommended 😊

Poor team, it felt like the Manager/Owner did not realise there was a massive Conference at R&T. The staff, I saw two were really struggling with a packed restaurant. The food was amazing though.

The restaurant looks really nice. We had burgers and fries. Once the vegan and once the chilli cheese burger. The vegan burger was good and the chilli cheese burger was unfortunately the worst burger I've had in my life. The cheese sauce is inedible and so is the meat. I actually felt very sick afterwards. Unfortunately, the fries only tasted like cheap fat. The food was also served carelessly. But the service was friendly.

Disgraceful reception service. Due to a booking error, a birthday dinner could not take place on Saturday evening. The error was clearly in the Maredo reservation system. Instead of constructively finding a replacement solution, the ladies at reception were cheeky, rude and overwhelmed. With such employees it certainly won't take long until the next bankruptcy.

However, it was exchanged, very rude and not fair to a restaurant in this price range. Essen war gut allerdings wurde mir bei der Reservierung für einen Geburtstag gesagt das sich die Chefin bestimmt was einfallen lässt als extra oder was man eben zu einem Geburtstag so macht, Ende vom Lied war das gar nichts wirklich nichts bzgl Geburtstag seitens Maredo gemacht wurde. Es war einfach nur eine Tischreservierung mehr nicht und das hat mich schon sehr enttäuscht da ich von anderen Restaurants wir Block House was anderes gewohnt bin. Daher keine hohen Punkte.

Wir hatten Reseviert, waren 10 min vorher da und obwohl noch Tische frei waren hat man uns vor der Tür warten lassen, dass fand ich nicht so gut. Kleines Restaurant was ich sehr gut fand, man konnte sich gut mit der Begleitung Unterhalten, da nicht so laut war, Essen war sehr gut und Salatbuffet hat auch sehr gut Geschmeckt nur meine Begleitung hatte Grillspieße Bestellt und es sollte das Fleisch durch sein war aber nicht alles durch. Zum schluss habe ich die Rechnung verlangt, dass hat auch lange gedauert bis die Rechnung kam. Würde aber wieder hingehen, da der Lärmpegel angenehm ist und das Essen echt gut Gescheckt hat, die Servicemitarbeiter waren ja super nett, da kann man das mit dem warten übersehen.

Gehobene Preise, aber keine gehobene Qualität. Personal war leider auch nicht wirklich freundlich und machte einen eher allgemein genervten Eindruck, auch wie mit anderen Gästen gesprochen wurde.

Update: November 30, 2019: unfortunately I have to deduct one or two stars, which I regret very much, as I loved the good service, the food, and the casual atmosphere so much. Today I was served: nothing worked here. We had to wait an incredible 29 minutes for our food, and 0.2 of the 0.4 Merlot we ordered arrived. The pepper sauce was as cold as the fries when it was delivered to the table. The highlight, however, was that the waitress complained loudly about a guest at the next table and then, together with a colleague, made fun of the guest just as loudly. That was demeaning. Dear waitress there, if you hate your job so much, then don't take it out on the guests. Then look for someone else - but please in a different federal state.

Totally cool for a family meal with a children's corner. There were five of us. Value for money is right here...good food for affordable prices. Gladly again. You can't choose who you sit next to at the table, despite the cozy corner.

Nowhere is meat prepared better than there. The salad buffet and salad dressings are also excellent. The herb butter is also recommended. The entrance is a bit hidden. To get to the restaurant you first have to go to the 1st floor.

It's a shame, quality and friendliness have steadily deteriorated in recent years. The food was lukewarm (hardly better after a complaint, when the kitchen bell rings it takes minutes until the service is served), the service was unmotivated and unfriendly, the quality of the meat was not convincing. We probably won't come back.

Waitresses weren't really friendly and one made an effort. Food was bad for the prices. Fries were sweet and not edible, when I told the waitress the only answer I got was she passed it on… It's a shame we won't be going there again

Visited for the first time on Valentine's day. We had an amazing meal. The service was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was incredible. Probably the best steak we've ever had. We will return!

The wife and I came here for Valentine's Day and we had an amazing experience. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. The drink menu is vast and was served very fast. My wife loves steak more than anything and she said it was the best steak she ever had, I have to agree. Everything about Maredo was wonderful. I plan on returning very soon and trying other items on the menu, especially the salad bar!
