Got incredibly bad. This used to be the steakhouse of choice. Initially horrendous prices, e.g. B. for a bowl of ketchup 3 euros. Ordered flank steak stated on the menu as very tender. A high price would be okay if what you get at least gives you what you can expect. But no. 32 euros for this smaller steak, fries and a loveless piece of tomato on the plate that looked totally old and scratched. And then the steak is tough as a shoe sole and had more than just one tendon in it. Such a small piece of "meat" - it was absolutely inedible. And my partner did the same with 2 portions. Waiter's comment: I have to report this to the kitchen. Nothing happened. This visit to maredo was an extremely bad experience in a restaurant. Never again. This is how you can scare away guests. I can definitely not recommend the maredo. And whether the answer given helps. Think of it as a phrase

Today we ate at Maredo again for a long time. I used to enjoy going to the restaurant but now the standard has declined significantly. Food is served carelessly, as if you were given something on your plate in a canteen. Every little thing costs extra. Not even the dip for the side dish/fries is included. Even a bowl of ketchup costs €3. Price/performance ratio for steak is extremely poor. The spare ribs looked like frozen goods… Am very disappointed. On top of that, we all start to have stomach cramps. Unfortunately the restaurant is simply being run down…

It is with great regret that I find that my last visit to your establishment did not in any way live up to the high expectations I had based on previous, entirely positive experiences. While I have always been impressed with the quality and excellent service in the past, the evening I recently spent with you was a real disappointment. The meat, which was once juicy and tender, was now completely dry and almost inedible. This was in stark contrast to the previous, excellent dishes that I had enjoyed there. In addition, the service, which had previously always been quick and attentive, was now marked by remarkable slowness and little empathy. It seemed like the staff was unable to meet guests' needs in an acceptable time frame.

The starter was supposed to have been a carpaccio with Wagyu beef, I wasn't aware of that, I couldn't see any fat grain, then the plate was preheated, which I don't understand with a cold carpaccio. The steak was ordered medium rare, meaning it was fried pink, the core was raw, the steak I received was completely raw, only briefly thrown on the hot grill for external appearance, otherwise completely raw. No recommendation for a steakhouse!

Nicely furnished steakhouse in the heart of Stuttgart. Good food, very good quality. Even though eleven of us spent our small Christmas party there, the service was excellent and never overwhelmed. No drink, no side dish, nothing was forgotten or arrived late. Rare in these times. Top! Thank you!

A steakhouse that tries to seduce guests! Wagyu Carpaccio didn't have a single marbling because it simply wasn't Wagyu!! A 350g Rip-Eye which cost around €40 WITHOUT any side dish and was also tough. Ordered medium but received English. Complained - it came back still raw but with an almost black crust. Grill plate or pan was unseasoned and also tough. Service didn't even come to our table to ask if everything was OK. We had to wait a long time for payment.

I have never been disappointed in such an expensive restaurant, the salad buffet was the last thing, everything was a bit wilted... with the tomato mozzarella, the mozzarella at the top was even yellow, the salad was wilted, etc... Afterwards we ordered food and of course the wrong one came instead of Tomahawk Steak t bone…. Afterwards a tomahawk steak unfortunately wasn't medium but with a crust and completely bloody on the inside, the same as the steaks that the others had ordered. Then we left. After I was there yesterday with an Arbwirs colleague, we both ordered burgers. He ordered an iced tea & I ordered a sweet shandy. The right kind of iced tea arrived, but a sour shandy. Plus point: Service apologized and I got the sweet shandy on the house, which was taken into account when paying. Iced tea and shandy were great! We ordered nachos as a snack beforehand, look good! And: not salty. Everything is great! For the main course he had a chili cheese burger with fries, I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. When served, the burgers were swapped (wrong burger with wrong side dish). Everything plus dips were great! In addition, my main course would be served sloppily. Service dropped few fries and didn't serve my main course carefully. Dessert and price performance were top, as was the entire meal. But you really have to work on the service.

Super friendly service and the food was great. However, the ambience is rather simple and the play area is rather rudimentary. Toy disjointed and well rocked down, with a small climbing wall and soft cubes to sit on. An interactive screen that unfortunately couldn't be turned off and worn out children's books. But there were crayons for our little one and totally sufficient for the first visit.

Es gibt drei gute Steakhäuser in Stuggi die Top sind. Aber will man das Beste Fleisch dann sollte man unbedingt zu MAREDO! Ist ganz klar mit Abstand das Beste Steakhaus.

We wanted to redeem a voucher and the waitress gave herself 4 stars in advance. The explanation did not convince us. I'm sorry, but 4 stars? The food was OK but nothing special. There were three of us and for all three dishes the dish on the menu read differently or better than how it actually arrived. The baked potato was ice cold inside - so that means it was warmed up in the microwave 👎 but when we asked, we got a new potato without any problems, which was probably warmed up in the microwave a little longer due to the speed. Prices too high in my opinion. Meat was good but nothing special. The dips and side dishes lacked seasoning. Service was very nice and attentive.

DON'T GO IF YOU WANT A DECENT STEAK. I specifically emphasized steak WELL DONE because I just don't like eating raw meat. I was brought a raw steak that wasn't even at least medium rare. I said so and the waitress brought me another one that apparently was supposed to be “WELL DONE”. The steak we're talking about is in the picture. Where is that a well done steak??? I told the waitress again because I just felt ripped off and then I just gave up. A good kitchen should know how to make a well done steak and above all it is apparently a “steakhouse”… Communication between kitchen and waiter 0/10… I was so annoyed because I was so hungry and still had to pay the full price. Simply no effort at all to ensure customer satisfaction or even a compromise.

If you want to treat yourself to a meal out, you should consider doing so here. The service wasn't the nicest and very taciturn, a smile doesn't hurt anyone. It often took longer until someone came to the table. Our meat was ordered medium rare, but it came to the table very raw. Unfortunately, I also found the room to be very cold, which is unpleasant when you want to eat comfortably. I thought the coolest thing was the end: it should be open until 11:30 p.m. The music stopped at 10:25 p.m. When we asked if they were closing early, we were told that there was nothing going on. Fleisch war eine top Qualität, auch wenn etwas teuer. Leider wusste die Bedienung nicht was ein Château Briaund ist. Kann sie nix dafür wenn Sie eine miserable Einarbeitung hatte. Aber sollte nicht sein in einem Steakhaus. Musik war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Man sollte eher lockere Lounge Musik wählen. War sehr laut. Salatbar ganz okay , Kartoffelsalat schrecklich. Wie aus dem Eimer vom Großmarkt. Da könnte man mal rüber zum Ochsen Willi spionieren gehen. Deren Salatbar seit Jahren lecker und frisch mit immer gleich bleibender Qualität. Maredo könnte sein Konzept der Beilagen anpassen, wie bei Abaccos,wo man Nachschlag ohne Aufpreis bekommt, denn ohnehin sehr hochpreisig gewesen. 4 Leute 302 Euro bezahlt .....

I'm very adamant about being respectful to wait staff, so I never want to yell to get their attention, but the table next to me saw I had tried to get the waitress' attention when she walked past me multiple times when I sat there for nearly a half hour with an empty wine glass, so they got her coworker's attention for me. The waitress was nice, I don't think this was her fault, just not enough staff, and she did the best she could. There was a large table of people next to me, and I was told the wait times were because of that reason. I not only sat with an empty wine glass for roughly 30 minutes, but it took over an hour to get my steak served to me. The table next to me had already finished eating by the time I got my food, and they got there the same time I did. In the meantime I was offered no bread or another glass of wine while I waited, and I had ordered no appetizer because I didn't think the service would be so slow. The steak was served to me at a lukewarm temperature, high amount of fat, a little chewy , and a bit overcooked. I ordered medium rare, but a good portion of that steak was definitely medium. The fries were ok, and the grilled vegetables were nothing special. I was so annoyed by that time I didn't bother ordering a dessert (which I always do if the food is good) and just paid and left. To be fair, a dessert was offered to me for free, which was a kind gesture, but I didn't want to be in that restaurant anymore. I definitely appreciated one of the glasses of wine being taken off the bill, but even with that the cost was nearly 100 euros for ONE PERSON, 70 euros alone for a mediocre steak maybe worth 20 euros , at best! I'm DEFINITELY never coming back here.

Schade. Irgendwas läuft da schief. Das Konzept gleich wie andere Steakhäuser. Jedoch funktioniert es anscheinend nicht. Für Samstag Abend ziemlich leer. Die Lokale rundherum jedoch bestens besucht, trotz ähnlicher Preisklasse. Steaks ab 21 Euro aufwärts. Premium Cuts ab 99 Euro. Beilagen kosten alle extra. Das Salatbuffet ist nicht mehr so vielfältig wie früher und teilweise auch nicht frisch. Die 10 Euro dafür fast unverschämt. Dafür war das bestellte Hüftsteak medium und gut.

The Maredo is no longer what it used to be. The name should say it all. The food wasn't bad, but instead of the steak being medium rare, it was almost done. The chairs at the table were ALL covered in stains. The cutlery is cheap, I didn't have a sharp knife. Two tomatoes for decoration? The size would be enough for a salad. I intentionally avoid the term cocktail tomatoes, they are much smaller. You can safely do without that. The ambience is just cold and cheap, due to the design and construction, it was very loud. What was good? The service was friendly and tried to do the best. Praise and thank you for that. I cannot recommend the Maredo with the current concept, the pricing needs to be reduced. It was a disappointment for me.

Ich war etwas geschickt über die Preise. Das Angebot zu 17,90 (Hüftsteak, Pommes) war top. Allerdings war das RibEye sehr teuer und trotz 250g wirkte es deutlich kleiner als 250g und war auch optisch nicht sonderlich schön. Hinzu kam eine verschimmelte Tomate auf dem Teller. Bei der Preisklasse ein No-Go. Insgesamt über 40 Euro mit ein paar Beilagen und Dips. Sparerips das einzige Gericht was nicht vom Rind ist war preislich auch eher zu teuer. War damit unser letzter Besuch bei Maredo. Hätten wir keinen 15% Gutschein gehabt, hätte ich mich noch mehr geärgert. Insgesamt gesehen gib es bessere Akternativen.

The upholstery of the chairs is extremely stained, cheap cutlery, utopian prices, decoration on the plate consisted of 2 cocktail tomatoes, meat was medium instead of medium and the other meat was almost raw instead of medium. Vor einigen Jahren maßlos enttäuscht, wollte ich "Maredo" nochmal eine Chance geben, ...vergebens.... Bestellt wurde "Ziegenkäse-Salat" Bunte Salatmischung | Apfel Balsamico Vinaigrette | Ziegenkäse | Radieschen | Rote Beete⁷ | Walnüsse | Apfelstücke | Honig | Gartenkresse, Knoblauchbrot...was ich bekommen hatte, hat in mir tatsächlich die Vergesslichkeit ein Photo zu machen, ausgelöst.....geliefert durch eine freundliche Bedienung wurde: eine Handvoll Salatmischung ähnlich wie vom Discounter aus der Tüte, also Blattsalatmischung mit etwas Karottenraspel, Balsamico und Ziegenkäse, vermutlich vergessen wurde jedoch und zwar komplett: Radieschen Rote Beete Walnüsse Apfelstücke Gartenkresse Knoblauchbrot mit diesem Teller wäre der Koch garantiert durch die Gesellenprüfung geflogen, wären wir nicht in einer größeren Gruppe dort gewesen, hätte ich mich mal so richtig beschwert, hätte es auch wie einer meiner Vor-Redner auf einen Polizeieinsatz ankommen lassen, hierfür 19 Euro zu verlangen ... ohne Worte, daher von mir NIE-WIEDER

The burger I ordered was served cold. It seemed as if it had already been on the plate for some time before it came to me. The meat was tough and dry, and overall the taste just wasn't what I expected. As for the service, it was rather incidental. The service seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. It took forever for my order to be taken and even after that my needs were only met half-heartedly. After my complaint, the burger was briefly brought into the kitchen and heated in the microwave, after which the burger bun was totally lumpy and the salad on it was inedible. The only good thing about it was that I didn't have to pay for the burger. Thank you very much for this. Overall, my visit to Maredo was a disappointing experience. Cold food and poor service made me feel unwelcome. I definitely won't be back and have a hard time recommending this restaurant. I'm sorry my experience was so negative, but I hope this feedback helps things improve at Maredo.

Wouldn't recommend a rare steak, medium rare is probably better. Just my opinion.

The best tomahawk and Bearnaise sauce that I’ve had in Germany. Hands down blew Abaccos out of the water. Made them look like ametures. And to top all of that off, I had a tequila mule.. FANTASTIC 10/10

We have been regular guests at Maredo in Stuttgart for years and have always been very satisfied. The food is delicious and the selection and freshness at the buffet is great! The service person Fatima deserves special mention. She is always friendly, courteous, quick and always has a smile on her face. We'd love to come back!

I did not even try it. I checked the menu at the entrance - the prices were enormously high. I compared it to Maredo in Berlin and Frankfurt where I used to visit it often. In Stuttgart it is 2-3x higher. It is some different Maredo than I usually visited, this is why I did not even enter.

Snezana and Rauf provided excellent service and the food was very good. I definitely recommend.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience Our evening started with a steak that was not cooked medium rare as ordered, but almost completely cooked through. The sweet potato fries were served cold, and the second portion of fries was initially completely forgotten. It was only brought after we asked, but at least it was hot. The Aperol Spritz I ordered consisted almost entirely of water and ice cubes. To make matters worse, we ended up being incorrectly charged for the buffet even though we never ordered it. All in all, it was an evening that you would quickly want to forget. This was particularly disappointing because the restaurant only had three occupied tables inside at 7 p.m. Under these circumstances I cannot recommend the restaurant nor do I plan to visit it again.

Wir haben das Angebot Flanksteak mit Beilagen für 22€ gewählt. Das Steak war ungenießbar und auch die Beilagen waren nicht ok. Kräuterbutter kam ungekühlt und fast flüssig. Nach Jahrzehnten Maredo Fan verabschieden wir uns und wechseln ins Blockhaus!!! Am Nebentisch auch nur lange Gesichter-wo ist das alte Maredo nach dem Aus in den vergangenen Jahren und dem Neustart nun gelandet!!!

We've been there several times now, regular customers. Friends and family gatherings are always the best place to chill out and eat comfortably. Grilled steak was very good, chili cheeseburger is absolutely delicious and fresh. Only in summer you have to pay attention to the fresh salad 😃my recommendation, otherwise perfect as always. I recommend further.

Fatma welcomed us very friendly at the Maredo Stuttgart. She was able to advise us very well when choosing our lunch. When she later asked briefly whether the food tasted good, we said yes. Fatma told us that the chef had another task to complete at short notice and she seared the steaks perfectly for us so that we didn't have to wait any longer. This was excellent service from Fatma and great service overall.

Conditions were really TOP! Steak exactly as it should be. Salad, extremely expensive! €9.90 for a salad is really outrageous. Steak for 10€/100g. borderline. There are real alternatives nearby.

Service meinte "Oh nein, jetzt muss ich alles nochmals stornieren. Glauben Sie mir was sie bestellt haben ist ausreichend für sie". Fleisch entsprach überhaupt nicht dem Gargrad. Es was eine Schuhsohle, obwohl Medium bestellt. Es gab erneut Diskussionen mit dem Service was nicht nötig gewesen ist. Der Fehler war offensichtlich. Der zweite Versuch war dann ausgezeichnet. Alles jedoch sehr lieblos angerichtet. Eine Weiterempfehlung kann ich nicht aussprechen. Block House macht das wesentlich besser.

Im Vergleich zu Block House und vor allem Abaccos viel schlechter und viel zu teuer. Alles muss extra bezahlt werden bei einer Steakbestellung. Keine Beilage dabei, keine Sosse, kein Salat. Fleisch geschmacklich auch nichts das Niveau von Abaccos.

Went here spontaneously for dinner on a recent Saturday evening. We didn't need a reservation because there wasn't really much going on anymore. The service was top. The steaks were ok, but I personally think the direct competition here is a lot better. Personally, I think that the location of the Maredo is not ideal. If you are from out of town like us, then you have to know that there is a steakhouse there. Here, too, the competition at the front of the street is a little better positioned and at least that evening at that time it was significantly better attended than the Maredo.

Unfortunately it's no longer the Maredo it once was 😏 I went to Maredo for years but since the reopening and takeover everything has gone downhill... Bad service and unfriendly 👎

Das Essen war ganz in Ordnung, hat geschmeckt. Der Nachtisch war auch ok, allerdings wurde der Espresso vergessen und es hat dann ziemlich lange gedauert, bis der kam, obwohl nicht sehr viel los war.

Die Tagesempfehlung war ein "Steak Deal" mit argentinischem Entrecote , Ofenkartoffel und Salat vom Buffet für 27,50. Hat sich gut angehört. Fleisch war aber sehr durchwachsen und bestellte Zubereitung "medium" war an manchen Stellen eher "englisch" und überhaupt nicht gewürzt. Mit Salz / Pfeffer in verschiedenen Variationen am Tisch war es dann gut essbar. Salatbar ausgesprochen vielseitig und frisch mit 4 Saucen und empfehlenswert. Also Preis/Leistung war noch OK, aber meiner Meinung nach war das Fleisch eher zweitklassig.

The two of us have been here for lunch for a long time. I have to say that I expected it to be much more positive. I particularly found the prices to have risen more than in other restaurants The salad buffet was very good, but at €9.90 (1 plate) it was also very expensive. A really small sirloin steak for almost €12.00 without any side dish. 1 beer, 1 soft drink. together €53.00! Too much for lunch. I'll go somewhere else next time.

My friend had his Christmas party inside this steakhouse. The food was brought to the table quickly and he enjoyed it. The steak met his preferences. However, you couldn't reserve the table for a longer period of time, so you had to leave it again soon. The advantage here, however, was that less money was spent.

Serviceleistung ließ zu Wünschen übrig und die Preise sind extrem gestiegen seit unserem letzten Besuch. Essen war sehr gut.

Ich hatte die Illusion, dass Maredo ein ordentliches Restaurant sei und sich von den anderen Steakanbietern in der direkten Nachbarschaft abheben wollen würde. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht, dass das Brisket derzeit aus sei. Kann ja passieren. Die bestellten Burger spotteten jeder Beschreibung. Das sehr gute Fleisch wurde eingerahmt von läbrig weichen Brötchen, zu den Pommes gab es Ketchup und Mayo erst auf Nachfrage. Die Mayonnaise hatte offensichtlich bereits einige Zeit in ihrem Schälchen im Kühlschrank hinter sich, denn sie war bereits zu Gelee geworden. Dass die Toilette nicht sonderlich sauber war und die Seifenbehälter leer hat mich bei der restlichen Erfahrung dann nicht weiter überrascht.

So sorry, that has nothing to do with eating steak anymore. Maredo is no longer what it used to be, the meat was raw and the fries were poor, I can't say anything more about it. Yes, you can grill it 👏 but that's not the point. This shouldn't happen at a steak house. Hardly any taste or anything. 160€ for 4 meals isn't even good and prices like that don't fit any relation. A pity.

Essen hervorragend, nur zu schnell serviert, Getränke und Essen kamen zeitgleich, alles etwas gedrängt, nicht sehr gemütlich, hätte meinen Aperitif gerne vor dem Essen genossen , sonst hervorragend
