The design concept still eludes me. The ambiance is more reminiscent of a Chinese restaurant than a burger joint. Chinese characters on the wall and artificial cherry blossom trees aren't exactly what you'd associate with burgers. The staff is very friendly and happy to offer advice. The burgers were the best I've ever had at a chain restaurant. The patties were freshly made, not from the freezer, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. "Mr. Bison's Father" has become my absolute favorite burger.

I visited the Traumkuh Restaurant on Saturday and was absolutely delighted! The food was not only fresh and incredibly delicious, but also beautifully presented. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and inviting; you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. However, I'd especially like to commend the waitress who made my visit truly special. She was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. She immediately noticed when something was needed, yet was never intrusive. Her warm personality and professionalism perfectly complemented the entire evening.

Really delicious burgers and great fries. The food arrived in just a few minutes, well under 10! That's exceptionally fast. The quality was really good. The prices reflect the high quality, but are on the higher end for burgers. It's worth noting that they don't serve alcohol.

I haven't had such a great burger in ages (Jammin' Chicken, or something like that, with Iowa-style chicken and Camembert). My boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger, which he also thought was fantastic. We had fries with it, which were another highlight (hand-cut). I even thought the sweet potato fries at the next table looked better. The server was very friendly and attentive, even though he was mostly alone and it was quite busy, he didn't let it show – very commendable! We didn't make a reservation beforehand and went there spontaneously, which worked out fine, but I think a reservation is definitely recommended. I would definitely come back here anytime!

Traumkuh is, in our opinion, the best burger place in Essen! We've been everywhere, but Traumkuh is unbeatable. The quality and taste are simply unbeatable. We usually eat in, but yesterday we ordered delivery. Despite the longer delivery time and distance, our burgers arrived still piping hot. They also always accommodate special requests. We absolutely love it there! Highly recommended!

Today, for the first time, I was treated very rudely by an employee. It's currently the games fair in Essen. That means it's busy and stressful. I always understand that. We stood in line for 20 minutes. Mind you, the people in front of us and behind us didn't have reservations. Those in front of us got a seat. It wasn't a problem. When several tables finally became available, we went inside and were told that these tables were reserved; there was no sign or anything else on the table. There were reserved tables, which were then gradually taken while we waited. But the worst of it was the way we were told that we couldn't eat anything there today, even though there were people in front of us without reservations, and they got a seat. After I asked when the reservations for the four freed tables were scheduled, they simply said cheekily: "It doesn't matter, you won't be eating here today." That's no way to treat people who stand outside in the cold for 25 minutes to eat in a restaurant. I then pointed out that they could have announced outside: "People only with reservations today." The employee's statement doesn't make sense here. After I left, I told the queue that no one with a reservation would be able to get anything to eat today. After that, there was no longer a line. A small sign would have sufficed. What really annoys me is the way they make people wait for nothing, even though they've spent a whole day at the trade fair or working.

The food was amazing but the server was acted offended when I ask to see their halal certificate. He said " if you don't like it you just don't have it.". You can just simply say no. I am not demding for it. It was a very simple question.

"To die for" burgers, "extra" veggie version, excellent poutine! Limited space, come early or late, but come!!!!!

We ate delicious burgers and fries here with our three children. We were very satisfied. If we're ever in Essen again, we'll be happy to come back. The ambiance isn't exactly suited to a burger joint. Hence only 4 stars.

The menu also lacks any kind of culinary variety or creativity. The menu relies heavily on pre-made, ready-made, or frozen products. The quality of the service is extremely poor. The service was very inattentive and therefore seemed very weak and absent. One of the worst things is that the store doesn't accept objective criticism. There were only three of us in the store, and the reviews already written by friends were deleted after a short time. This is absolutely unprofessional!

Whenever I come to Germany I have to visit this place for a Bison burger meal. The food is delicious with a nice relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend you try it out.

It's worth it every time. We make the half-hour drive at least once a month just to enjoy "Mr. Bison's father" (yes, that's really the name of the burger). Every bite triggers an explosion of flavor like no other. The ambiance is truly wild. Cherry blossom trees, rustic tables, a wall that looks like a container from a Japanese port, and jazz music create a well-rounded and harmonious overall picture—even if you might not think so at first glance. There is one negative aspect, however: every other burger shop is overshadowed to such an extent that it's almost impossible to enjoy it. So, enjoy at your own risk.

Very tasty, we tried it yesterday. I had the vegan pumpkin and eggplant burger and it was absolutely delicious! The sweet potato fries were also perfect. I'm deducting one star because the regular fries were a bit cold and the portion of regular fries was apparently smaller than the sweet potato fries. The iced teas were a bit too sweet for our taste. For two people, we paid about €55. I would come back for a burger 😋.

The service was very poor; almost no one was there, and they didn't address any problems. The food was very greasy; the fries were definitely warmed up, soggy, and completely inedible. The meat was very good, I must say, but the burger itself was very greasy and not recommended. We were very disappointed. The homemade iced tea arrived very warm despite the ice cubes. After discussing it with the server, he only offered us more ice cubes and no substitute. We would have preferred a different drink, but it was undrinkable in 32-degree heat outside. Overall, very poor, and we won't go back.

Simply amazing. The ambiance looks fantastic, the food is delicious, and the staff are really friendly and helpful with the food selection. There were three of us there, and I have to say both the beef and chicken were really great. I personally preferred the beef. The zucchini patty was also supposed to be good, but since I didn't try it myself, I'm just sharing my companion's opinion. The garlic fries are exactly what they say they are. Very tasty, but you have to like the garlic flavor. And the "regular" fries are also really well made. All in all, we were really impressed and can highly recommend Traumkuh.

Exceptionally delicious burgers with sweet potato fries and a choice of dip, enjoyed under blossoming cherry trees (replicas are not required, regardless of the season) and pleasant lighting. The music is pleasantly relaxing and not too loud for pleasant conversation. This ambiance is perfect for a relaxed evening with excellent food. The homemade drinks are also highly recommended.

The hamburger was delicious and the portion was generous. The fries weren't quite to my taste; they were very greasy, but everyone has different tastes and opinions. I ordered the monthly menu, a hamburger with fries and a drink, about €22. Since I didn't eat the fries, I'll just have the hamburger next time. I wanted to order iced tea, but they didn't have any ice cubes. It was a Saturday in the summer, and I can't believe they don't make it for customers. Since it was very hot inside, we had to wait until a table became available outside. The service was very good, and the food was excellent.

Geschäftsreise wo kann man gut in Essen essen? Das war das Lokal mit den besten aktuellen Bewertungen. Ich bin weder Kenner von Burgern, noch von Trüffel. Aber Traumkuh war die perfekte Wahl. Bürger des Monats "Trüffel-Burger" = 6 von 5 Sternen. Eigentlich sind Süßkartoffeln nicht mein Ding, aber die Pommes war genial. Man lernt eben nie aus. Das Lokal ist klein und stilvoll. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Schade, dass der Trüffel-Burger eine Saison Burger ist.

We had reserved a table for 6 people on a Sunday - arrived at the restaurant and asked for our table - nothing had been prepared, we had to push the tables together first. The young man helped with that, though. When I saw the waiter's T-shirt, I actually didn't want to eat anything - it was covered in stains and smears. You can't get to the table and serve people like that. Really disgusting! If you're working in the kitchen, you're supposed to put an apron on your head, and then take it off when you come to the front to serve! The drinks we ordered arrived and were just placed randomly on the table without anyone asking who had what. But the food was very good and the drinks delicious! The service wasn't that courteous, more like a check-in without any interaction!

Die Pommes wurden in einem halben Liter Friteusenfett serviert und hatten eine sehr merkwürdige Konsistenz. Als ob das noch nicht gereicht hätte, sieht man hinter der Theke die Leute die das Essen zubereiten mit dem Handy in den Hand telefonieren und gleichzeitig Handschuhe tragen, mit denen dann die Lebensmittel angefasst werden. Auf Google gibt es angeblich nur 4 und 5 Sterne Bewertungen, was absolut Fake ist.
