Once again we ate excellent burgers. Super nice team, fresh ingredients made by hand. As can happen, something was strange with the batch of fries, we were informed about this in advance and they weren't charged for them either. And yet they were still good and better than many others. We'll be back, as we have done so often.

I happened to google “burger” on the way home and that was the first thing that came up. I have to say, one of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten! 😍 Service was also super nice! New favorite spot! 🍔 Unfortunately I can't post photos because half of them were already gone on the way home. 😂

For me as a Viennese, the culinary offerings are catastrophic; we are spoiled with food and delivery options all around for a “big city”. But the truck is really totally OK, the food is great and also super super friendly, we'll be back!

Came here spontaneously and it was really tasty! I can recommend it to everyone, in my opinion everything was perfect. There's no need to start with the price/performance ratio, I've never eaten such a great burger so cheaply! :)

A really great takeaway with restaurant quality. The burgers were tasty and well fried, the fries were unusual and also very tasty, so everything was great. We were served extremely friendly and things went quickly despite there being a few customers. The seating in the tent was good, but of course not a particularly nice atmosphere, but definitely visit and enjoy a burger!

Literally one of the best burgers I've ever had

One of the best burgers in Essen and the surrounding area! The burgers are made fresh in front of you, the meat and the rest of the ingredients are of top quality, which you can also see visually.

Amazing smash burgers, I have probably had hundreds of burgers all over the world, but never had a smash burger like this one. They take smash to the extreme, as the party was really thin and crispy on one side but still juicy. The bread was a good match for this burger and the fries were also among the best I've had. The guys working the truck are really friendly and they look like they enjoy themselves cooking these burgers, and it reflects in the food they make. Will surely come back whenever I am in the area.

Easy to reach by car in Essen Haarzopf and certainly the most delicious burgers in town! The team is incredibly friendly and fulfills all wishes. My personal favorite is the cheeseburger with egg and, as a side dish, the homemade fries and the delicious cheese balls. We will definitely come back again and again!

I don't want to talk too much about it: the burger and the sides are just incredibly well coordinated. If you're even remotely into burgers, this is the place for you. The taste is on a whole other level! The many positive reviews don't lie - definitely try it out, you won't regret it.

We are from Mexico, we ate here because of its good reviews and it was an excellent decision. The chicken and veggie burger were great. The service was very good, they attended to us in English and there was no problem, the Mexican style potatoes were very good, I would return without hesitation. There will be people who prefer Mexican potatoes only with guacamole, but I wanted to try them as they are prepared.

I have already tried out many citizens in North Rhine-Westphalia and I have to say that the citizens of Bürgerschmiede are the very best. That's why I like coming to Essen from Düsseldorf. The Smashbürger is my absolute favorite. I also really liked the sweet potato fries 😮‍💨 The hot dog and the fries variations (e.g. chili cheese fries). In addition, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much and see you soon! ❤️

Sehr sehr nette Menschen die ihr Handwerk über die Maßen gut versteht. Alles handmade. Einer der besten Burger. Für mich in meinen Top 3. Ambiente ist bei nem Foodtruck natürlich so eine Sache. Aber auch hier haben die Jungs eine tolle kleine Oase geschaffen. Kleine Anmerkung: besser keine weißen Schuhe 😂 Einfach perfekt umgesetzte Idee

A little more remote, but definitely worth a visit. The burgers and fries are definitely at the top of the list. The employees are also extremely correct. I will definitely visit the food truck more often.

Found out through word of mouth and is now an integral part of every visit to the Ruhr area! If you expect an Etepetete restaurant with frills, you've come to the wrong place! Nevertheless, the food, the choice of dishes, the quality and the price-performance ratio are absolutely okay. A food truck is not a first class restaurant, but if you want delicious burgers away from the big chains, this insider tip is the right choice!

I had been seeing the burger truck driving by for a long time. Then I read the reviews on Google and just had to go there. Today was the day. There were three of us and we were warmly welcomed and we all ordered a burger menu. 1 burger of your choice, homemade fries, 1 dip of your choice and a drink. They even put 2 benches and a table in the sun for us! Great service! We had to wait a bit but it was really worth it. We haven't eaten such delicious burgers in a long time! You could see that the burger pattis were fresh and homemade. Just like the fries and the delicious dip. We have tasted blood now and will definitely come by more often! 🍔😋

I went to Burgerschmiede for the first time today and got burgers and fries. Everything is freshly prepared, you can even watch it. I have rarely eaten such a good burger! Super juicy and super tasty! The fries are homemade and are rare these days. In addition, a very friendly and friendly service. I think the prices are absolutely reasonable considering the quality that is offered. I can only recommend the Burgerschmiede and would be happy to come back!

I went there today on the recommendation of a colleague. I was more than satisfied. Everything fresh, burger patties made in-house and super friendly. I took the burgers with me and next time I'll take an insulated bag. So conclusion: A very clear recommendation, rarely eaten such delicious burgers. I will definitely go there more often. Super tasty and even if the burgers are a little flatter, they are not dry. Just try.

If you're in the mood for good burgers, Burgerschmiede is the right place for you. The selection is not overly large, but there is something for every taste. There are also many ways to refine the burger with other ingredients. The waiting time is okay, but sometimes you wait 20-30 minutes when ordering on site. It's definitely worth it though, we'll always be happy to come back.

Super nice staff and very tasty burgers

That was the rescue shortly before the start of the concert in Gelsenkirchen. Really juicy burgers (I ate a smashburger). The fries are also in another league. Most people probably don't even know it in this form, because otherwise they're only used to industrial stuff :D The guys are great too. Even though the whole thing was a bit out of the way and there was only gravel under my feet, I really liked the atmosphere. It's just all in all consistent. If it wasn't so far away, I would come more often. Wait until the next concert starts. All the best to you for the future and bon appetit to all customers! Edit* the sauce was wild too. I have no idea what it was exactly, but it was very tasty. Something about J, the gourmet definitely knows his stuff^^

We were there spontaneously yesterday because we were stuck in a traffic jam, hungry and saw it by chance. The burgers look really good and taste really delicious. The colleague in the car is very friendly and does a great job. We would be happy to come back when we are nearby.

Delicious burgers with tasty homemade sauce

I came across the Burger Schmiede by chance today and treated myself to lunch here and I can already say that it won't be my last visit. You can tell that passion goes into working on the grill here. The cheeseburger was juicy, with really good braised onions as a topping and of course with lettuce, tomato and a good sauce in a fluffy bun, with pickles for better grip But the fries alone are enough! No convenience industry rubbish, but homemade for the best taste. I love that! The selection of sauces and toppings is decent here. After my portion I'm now really full and I paid a fair price. Well deserved 5 stars! 👍

We were there about 3 weeks ago and the food was very good! The burgers were super tasty (Smash and Double Smash) and I also really liked the homemade fries. Very nice staff! There is no service in the same way as in the restaurant because it is a stand where you get the food. The ambience is not like in a restaurant, but there is a tent set up with tables and benches, bar tables so there are enough options to eat on site.

So the staff was very, very friendly, the food was great for us. The price was great

Unrestricted recommendation. The burgers are awesome. The Bacon Jam Burger in particular is incredibly delicious. The fries are very tasty and you get a very large portion that would easily be enough for 2. The burger prices are more than fair. Super nice employees. The burger and fries were still super tasty and the fries were crispy even after a 10-minute drive home. I have nothing to complain about. If you value a nice ambience in a nice restaurant, you're obviously in the wrong place here. But that should be clear to you, just from the name “food truck”.

A young food truck company... Very nice and friendly, courteous and helpful staff, happy to advise you.. Very good burgers, fresh ingredients and a lot of things homemade.. The home-made fries are also really good. But everything else is also recommended... For consumption on site, take away or delivery, as you wish. When the weather is nice, eating on site is a pleasant change. It's best to go there and try it out yourself...

A parking lot made of gravel is not that great. But the burgers from “Burgerschmiede” are very tasty. The buns...TOP and of course homemade. The meat, tasty and juicy. Carved the tits myself and refined them with a very good mayonaise (two types). Taste very good. All in all, a successful start to the weekend.

This afternoon we visited this location for the first time by bike. Delicious burgers & fries, very friendly and personable crew. The atmosphere in the parking lot is a bit better ;-) But that's coming soon :-)

Because of the many positive reviews, I paid the store a visit. I wasn't disappointed, I've been there several times now and for me the burgers are among the best in Essen. Particularly noteworthy is the Double Smash Burger. That was the tastiest thing I've ever eaten so far. The same goes for the Crispy Chicken Burger. The juiciest chicken burger I've tasted so far. The rest fits too. Friendly employees who are passionate about what they do and who understand the subject matter, great fries and homemade sauces and the prices are also very humane. It's "just" a food truck with a tent set up next to it, but affordable products that are prepared with love and expertise and are rightly at the top. I much prefer that to a fancy shop with loud music/ambience where a burger costs just under 15 per person

We came to Burgerschmiede based on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The menu is very clear, as so often I relied on the house's recommendation. The service was excellent and entertaining. I got the Bacon Jam Burger, it was very juicy, perfectly smashed and well seasoned! The burgers are good to eat with your hands. Fries were crispy, spicy and with plenty of sauce. Here the crispy chicken tasted outstanding. Ambiente is a food truck with a party tent near an allotment garden. Toilets and free parking spaces are available. I would love to come back and recommend Burgerschmiede to others.

I had an Air BnB near here and thought I wouldn't be able to find anything to eat in the area after a tiring day at the trade fair. But then I discovered this jewel like a mirage in the Sahara. I've just been there for the first time. The two employees in the food truck were very nice. Unfortunately, the truck is a little off the road and is therefore not immediately recognizable. It's in a parking lot that's a little lower than the street. To eat: The chili cheese fries were really great. The normal fries with a chili lime mayo were also great. We were definitely not here for the last time. I'm really excited about the burgers and hot dogs.

The best burgers in town 🤩 We've been there three times now and every time it tasted delicious. Finally high-quality burgers where you can taste the quality and freshness of the meat with every bite. The sauces and the homemade fries are simply in a class of their own and are a pleasure every time. So first of all I have to say that I'm not a fan of "food trucks" per se, but I still like that certain touch. The Burgerschmiede was recommended to me by acquaintances and - said and done - I was allowed to visit with the family. We were warmly welcomed and welcomed. We thought that the gloomy weather would thwart our plans (with children), BUT I didn't expect the staff to come up with an interim solution. For this reason we would like to give huge praise to the Burgerschmiede team! Despite my very high standards, the food was surprisingly really, really good. The fries were really crispy, the smash burgers were on point and even the hot dog was excellent. I can warmly recommend it to everyone. I will try to host summer events there in the future because it is one of the few food trucks that really offers top service and food. Please remain as warm as you are, even when things get stressful or people are sometimes rude. LG Your new regular customer

I ate at Burgerschmiede for the first time today. I had a double smashburger and the homemade fries. The ambience has its own charm. The burgers taste incredibly good and these were probably the best fries I've ever had at a burger joint. The staff was very friendly and personable. Absolutely fair price. This certainly wasn't my last visit and I'm looking forward to seeing Burgerschmiede continue to grow.

Unfassbar cooler Foodtruck,die Jungs sind nicht nur mega sympathisch,sondern zaubern auch einfach mega leckeres Essen!Hier isst selbst mein Sohn Burger,obwohl er die eigentlich garnicht mag😂 Die Burger sind aufjedenfall eine 10/10, süßkartoffelpomnes mega crunchy und einfach lecker. Ich freu mich schon auf den Sommer,dann essen wir auch mal vor Ort. Also ganz klare Empfehlung meinerseits,wer leckere Burger möchte,hier ist die beste Anlaufstelle!!!
