Trattoria Wilma - Pizza napoletana in Frankfurt am Main

A regrettable experience. They spilled an entire glass of red wine on us and, surprisingly, remained so calm. Since my companion and I were soaked and uncomfortable, we decided to leave and order our food to go. Well, they told us they "won't charge us for the wine." But what wine, the one you just spilled on me? Wow, how thoughtful. No sincere apology, no gesture of courtesy, they didn't even want to give us cutlery when we asked to take our food home. Their attitude was curt and disdainful, as if they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. They were only interested in us paying and leaving. Plus, they charged us for an extra burrata, which they then didn't put on the pizza. A total disaster, really. A huge shame: this place used to be a benchmark in Frankfurt for good, tasty food, but none of that spirit remains. Authentic Italian restaurants would never allow a situation like this.

A delicious Italian restaurant with a great lunch menu. The servers are also very friendly, and there's an incredibly cool bar in the basement.

Gluten-free pasta costs an extra €5, but you still get bread. When the restaurant is moderately busy, it takes a relatively long time for the food to arrive. The pizzas were otherwise good. Warning: the Diablo pizza is really spicy.

Today was my first time at Trattoria Wilma, and I'm very satisfied! My vegetarian pizza was a real hit! Highly recommended! I also want to mention the extremely friendly service staff. So if you want pizza in Frankfurt, it must be Trattoria Wilma!!!

From the appetizer to the delicious pizzas and the wine, everything was truly exquisite and delicious. A truly lovely evening with good food and a very friendly server, and it was completely unplanned! We'd love to go back!

We spontaneously went there yesterday. Great food, a very nice atmosphere, friendly, open, charming, and incredibly delicious. Salvatore gave us (12 people) a warm welcome, and the kitchen prepared everything perfectly. We'd happily return and would recommend it to singles and couples alike. Thank you all.

I was hungry and actually willing to spend a bit more for a delicious pizza. The atmosphere, right at the intersection of two busy main roads, wasn't exactly cozy—but no matter, I was hungry. After only a 10-minute wait, I got a menu. And I was amazed. The price for a 0.2-liter Coke was €3.50; that's usually what you'd get for a large drink (0.4 or 0.5 liters). The 0.4-liter Coke cost a whopping €6 (six euros!). A beer here costs €7 (seven euros!). Prices like at Oktoberfest... I got up in a huff and left.

Very unfriendly service! We waited 20 minutes without our order being taken. After asking several times, the owner became really irritable! So we left. Right around the corner at Niddastraße 27 is Pizzeria 7 Bello. It was the best decision of the day. We highly recommend it!

Unfriendly and impossible service.

We arrived there with a reservation. We were immediately greeted unfriendly, and the man told us there was no reservation. We sat outside and waited for 15 minutes, during which no one came or showed any interest in us. When we asked, we were told he was alone. Impossible and not customer-oriented. Unfortunately, this happened twice.

Worst service I have ever had in Frankfurt not exaggerating!

Wilma was right next to my hotel so I decided to come here for my first night’s dinner. It was AMAZING. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The best was the service! The staff were so friendly and it felt authentic. I will definitely come back here next time I’m in Frankfort.

Terrible. Bland, oily food, small portions, and inflated prices. The wait time was over 1.5 hours, and some dishes were already lukewarm by the time they were served. Service was distracted, mostly unresponsive, and very poor at remembering orders. Avoid at all costs!

We went to Trattoria Wilma as a group and sat in the basement. The ambiance there is a bit strange, but fine. The air conditioning wasn't working, so it was quite warm, but that was fine too. Unfortunately, the service was really bad. We had to wait half an hour for our drink orders to be taken, and then each drink was brought individually. We had ordered an appetizer platter. The main courses arrived about two hours after our arrival time, then one main course was missing, and another was incorrect. There was no further question about our drink orders or anything like that. The food is solid, but in my opinion, it's not worth the money or the wait. The prices are around €20-30 per main course, and the portions are rather small. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing evening at the trattoria. First, we waited about 45 minutes for our order to be taken, then it took just as long for the appetizer to arrive, and then another 50 minutes for the main course. A pasta dish was initially 10 minutes late and then served incorrectly. We decided to skip dessert after it seemed impossible to get hold of the waiter. The food was okay, but not exactly a highlight for the price.

Worst pizza I've ever eaten!!! I ordered the Pizza Diavola. It consisted of 80% burnt, tasteless dough, an unseasoned tomato sauce, and a few slices of salami (no trace of Diavolo). The whole thing was carelessly placed on the table and that was it. The waiter kept trying to sell extras that made the whole thing more expensive but no better. By the way: the cheapest pasta dish was €21.90!!! We're talking about a plate of pasta with sauce and something else in it. But I don't find a single pasta dish under €20 cheeky and inappropriate for an Italian restaurant. Wilma would turn in her grave...

Unfortunately more than disappointed. Owner has changed..!! Unfortunately it has gotten really bad! We used to go to the Trotteria very often and really enjoyed eating there, but now the owner has changed. The quality of the pizza dough has absolutely nothing to do with Neapolitan pizza! The service was more pushy than good and you were shouted at when you wanted to go to the toilet because you weren't recognized as a guest of the restaurant after smoking. Unfortunately it has gotten really bad and now you can't go there anymore. After the incident with the toilet there was just shouting... unbelievable! That happened even though you really just wanted to go out for a nice meal. A real shame about such a good restaurant.

All of Italy, it's a case of saying it loud. Discovered by chance during one of my trips. Amazing pizza, thin and soft in the Neapolitan style. Honest prices given Germany. Fantastic service, the Italian one, friendly, human, which we are no longer used to. In the end I've been here every night to eat and I felt at home. Thanks to Salvatore and all the crazy staff for welcoming me immediately like a friend, even if I always made you late for closing. Highly recommended!!!

For a pizzeria that advertises Neapolitan pizza, the dough isn't Neapolitan. The dough was very dense and not fluffy. The taste was okay! The salad was a bit sour, having been marinated in balsamic vinegar beforehand. Service wasn't very attentive. But I would go there again.

Yesterday I visited this Italian restaurant. The ravioli with ricotta and spinach were great and the dessert was also very tasty - the service was also great and the waitress served me well and quickly according to my wishes. All in all, I can fully recommend this restaurant.

Dolce far niente - please at Trattoria Wilma! You immediately feel like an Italian welcome and are treated courteously like a regular guest. The food is unique and unparalleled (even the crust of the pizza is tasty - which speaks for the good treatment of the dough). The ingredients are finely selected and taste correspondingly aromatic. Delizioso! We were here by chance a few years ago and now again before a concert in the Festhalle. It's worth planning an extra hour when you arrive, parking your car in the Messeturm car park, walking the 8-10 minutes from the car park and enjoying it. We will now plan Trattoria Wilma every time we visit Frankfurt (it's a shame that it's not open on Sundays... But it's completely understandable!)

I recently visited this Italian restaurant and was very disappointed. The shop was clean and tidy, and the chef seemed hard-working and friendly. Nevertheless, Neapolitan pizza was advertised, which made me curious. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. The dough was pre-baked and the edge was almost impossible to cut. The result was terrible and far from meeting my expectations.

Unfortunately, the bufala pizza actually only consisted of dough and tomato sauce. There were a few pieces of cheese. This is really not what a Pizza Bufala should be! Furthermore, it is also expensive. That's why I unfortunately can't recommend this pizzeria.

Disappointing. I ordered a pizza that the restaurant said would be delivered in 40 minutes. After 50 minutes there was still nothing and when I asked I found out that the pizza was supposed to be delivered 2.5 hours after I ordered it. That alone is a disgrace, but even after 2.5 hours I didn't receive anything, the pizza was simply canceled. Unfortunately never again and I can't recommend the restaurant either.

I was very well attended to, I was alone and ordered a Parmigiana pizza, I was really surprised, it was fabulous, perfect, it was the first time I tried this flavor and it was super tasty, to accompany it I had a pilsner beer, the atmosphere was very calm with very welcoming background music. Good food, disappointing service We were at Trattoria Wilma in Frankfurt. The food tasted really good and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, the service really marred the experience: The waitress seemed inattentive and listless, which is simply unacceptable for a restaurant that wants to compete in fine dining - especially at the prices advertised. Unfortunately for us it remains just this one visit.

We went with friends and children to see the Christmas markets in Frankfurt Germany, what can I say, a real Christmas atmosphere, this trattoria and pizzeria was on the corner of our B&B, a wonderful discovery after eating sausages and frankfurters with chips for 2 days, we had I've already read the excellent reviews but as a Sicilian I thought it was the usual place, but instead the pizza was excellent, better than other pizzerias in Italy, even the salads, despite simple products, well seasoned and all the ingredients of excellent quality, the two children ate excellent pasta with tomato 🍅, we returned to have dinner for 2 consecutive days, a relaxing place, the owners, with whom we exchanged a few words, especially with the lady from Puglia, excellent hostess, very professional, if you go to these parts and want to eat excellent food, come here, you won't regret it 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The best Italian restaurant I've been to in years. I have no idea why there aren't 5 stars here. The homemade pasta was simply amazing

There were 7 of us guests and everyone's food was as you would expect from a good Italian restaurant. I had the lunch menu 3 with a soup and pasta with the Italian sausage Salcicia and a hot sauce. The portion was big enough that I was so full that I couldn't eat any more dessert. Service 1a. As I was taking a photo of us, an employee came and took photos of us all. Therefore I cannot understand the negative reviews.

The egg had already partially set, there wasn't enough bacon, there was a lack of creaminess. But the pizza: world class, magnificent, a masterpiece! Full marks. Overall I get 7-8 out of 10 points.

Nice staff, super delicious food. Came to the place really quickly too. Really good when you're really hungry! The bruschetta as a starter was great. The bread is nice and rustic and very tasty oil. The pizza was amazing! Such an airy and crunchy dough at the same time. Definitely the last time I was here. When I'm back in Frankfurt and have the time, I'll be happy to come back!

1 hour and 40 minutes we were waiting for 2 pizzas. The first hour, there were lots of people and all tables were taken (still an unacceptable time for a simple pizza). The last 40 minutes there were 4 tables with people. We asked one of the staff if everything was ok with our order, he said yes it is in the oven. We waited another 20 minutes, and of course did not receive our order and left.

If you want to be ripped off, this is the place for you. An order of a small beer (which is only available on the menu) leads to a large beer, which is also charged at 7 euros. Ordered pizzas are brought with extra ingredients, which of course have to be paid for. If asked, they would rather bring the pizza back to the kitchen instead of selling it for the same price. When paying, the stated amount with a tip is then intentionally misheard and more is demanded. This store will never see me again. I feel betrayed like never before.

Really excellent pizza, better than some found in Italy. I recommend this place in Frankfurt if you want a good pizza. Furthermore, a very welcoming environment and excellent service. We felt at home.

I had a really tasty pizza here in a good size. The restaurant is a bit small, but our group of 11 people were able to get a seat unannounced. The lady who served us was great and very personable. The price was also within an acceptable range. Only the ravioli were a bit poor in quantity for the price. But if you like pizza, this is the place for you.

Das schlechteste Restauranterlebnis in Frankfurt für uns, die seit über 30 Jahren hier essen gehen. Sehr unfreundliches Personal und überhaupt kein Service Gedanke in Herz und Kopf. Außerdem völlig überteuert und das zu schlechter Essensqualität. Vitello tonnato extrem trocken, Salat sah aus wie schon mal gegessen. Bitte einen weiten Bogen um den Laden machen, ein Restaurant ist es nämlich nicht.

Ein sehr Unfreundliches Personal… schlechtes Essen… absolut nicht zu empfehlen…. Werde auch nie wieder hin gehen bin ohne essen raus musste aber den vollen Preis zahlen

Good food with fair prices and very fast and friendly service.

I can't and don't want to comment on the food. But when I politely asked if I could use the toilet, even if I had paid, I got the typical “only for customers” Poor Germany, which the Italians have already taken over. It's a human need! In the USA there are free toilets on every corner, even in the forest! Embarrassing, the service here also makes me lose my appetite!

Italian, or rather Neapolitan, activity in the center of Frankfurt am Main. Really welcoming and friendly staff, a pizza chef from Abruzzo like me who churns out real delicacies: pizza with 72 hours of leavening and 70% hydration, a real pleasure. Good tiramisu. Absolutely worth trying...

I wanted to order a carbonara from an English-speaking waiter. It's worked out. Then a waitress came and she said that I can only have carbonara to take away, I have to order something else when I get there because the carbonara “wasn’t on the menu”. I find this treatment of the gesture unreasonable. I left the restaurant.
