The restaurant is larger than it appears from the outside. The downstairs area is cozy, but a bit noisy, while the upstairs area is pleasant. The food was tasty, and the portions were decent. The only thing I felt was that the service could have been a bit more frequent.

Tartufo is always worth a visit. The food is excellent (pay attention to the handwritten menus; they feature great off-menu items). Unlike many restaurants, children are not a problem here, which is a real plus for families. There's a large playground 30 meters as the crow flies, but you do have to cross the street to get there. We went there several times without a reservation, and the children tried very hard to make room for us anyway. Many tables are full, and the outdoor seating is right on the street (hence the slight discount on the ambiance), but generally everything is fine there. The prices aren't cheap, but they're appropriate for the situation. Much more important is the quality. We'd be happy to come back.

I was here on May 30, 2025, and ordered tortelloni with truffle filling. I got 6 tortelloni with meat filling and some truffle paste. The portion was a bit small. My friend had gnocci with shrimp. There were only tiny shrimp in it, three in total, and the portion was also quite small. Her father had ordered penne al forno with porcini mushrooms. Instead of porcini mushrooms, there were only 2-3 slices of mushrooms. When we wanted to pay, I had to ask the waiter several times before he came. The waiter reacted somewhat annoyed to my complaint. The second waiter was more understanding and waived €5, but didn't hand over the bill. If you're hungry and expecting fresh produce, you should avoid this place!

I have no idea why there are so many good reviews for the food here... but honestly - the food is anything but Italian! I ordered a mushroom risotto. 30 minutes later they gave me a plate of basmati rice and mushrooms, about the same quality as you would expect from school meals. After I sent it back, the waiter came back with an explanation (instead of an apology) that they just didn't have any risotto rice... Excuse me? When I look at other photos here of the supposedly delicious risotto, this is their standard. You can try it... Then I ate tagliatelle. Tasty is different. Simply completely overpriced for the quality of the food. That was the first and last time I was there.

We are now regulars and it's a 10/10 every time. Not to be compared with most other Italian restaurants in Erfurt where you have your food on the table after what feels like 5 minutes. Everything is freshly prepared here, because if you sit in the basement, you are essentially sitting in the kitchen and can watch it cook. When it comes to eating out in Erfurt, we always look forward to visiting Trattoria Tartufo!

Wir waren spontan hier, da wir Karten für ein Konzert nebenan hatten. Wir bekamen eine Tisch gleich rechts vom Eingang. Man sitzt dort eng wie die Sardinen. Das ist nicht unbedingt schön. Der Service war schnell und genau mit richtigen Maß an Aufmerksamkeit. Das Essen war gut, aber keine Offenbarung. Meine Calzone war schon sehr breit nur ungefüllter Teig. Das können andere Italiener besser. Alles in allem solide, aber nicht Spitzenklasse.

We had tickets for a concert next door and spontaneously came here for dinner. We were seated directly to the right of the entrance. It's so tight here that you're basically sitting on the lap of the next table. When we arrived everything was still empty and the temperature was pleasant. When we left everything was full and the temperature was noticeably too high. The service was quick, friendly and had just the right level of attention. The food itself was OK, but not a revelation. My calzone was pretty much just compressed dough. I've experienced better than that. But the taste of the food was okay. All in all, solid average.

Hatte eine Reservierung gemacht - lag nicht vor als wir kamen. Da noch Platz war bekamen wir im OG einen Tisch - zum Glück! Unten total eng und laut! Vinothek : zum Totlachen! 5 Rotweine auf der Karte, Ober hatte nur rudimentäre Weinkenntnisse! Tischdecke verdreckt, fettig trübe Olivenölflasche - wollte man definitiv nicht anfassen! Essen unterstes Mittelmaß! Schinken mit Melone : Schinken nicht fein geschnitten sondern wie aus dem Supermarkt Vakuum Päckchen! Melone geschmacklos und unreif. Pizza mit vor Fett triefender Salami - eklig. Überhaupt kein knuspriger Rand - viel zu kurz im Ofen gewesen. Salat kam auch aus dem Fertigpack.

My friend and I sat on the upper floor, the atmosphere was very pleasant (good for long conversations, very comfortable), the food and drinks were very tasty. Our favorite Italian restaurant in Erfurt for years! The quality of the food is always just as good, you are warmly welcomed and served and you don't feel like you are just being dismissed. My favorite dish there is Vitello Tonato. I've already eaten this in other Italian restaurants in Erfurt, but it simply tastes best in Tartufo. The veal liver is also very tasty. All in all, clear recommendation :)

a beautiful location in and of itself. Small but very beautiful and well preserved. Were warmly welcomed but unfortunately completely understaffed. We had to wait a long time for the menu and therefore wanted to order drinks straight away, but as was so often the case that evening, the stressed out waiter simply replied: "I'll be right back, sorry" - then had to greet guests, clear tables, collect cash, etc. Pizza was ok, but not specifically. The main courses took an extremely long time. We got the wrong pizza for the starter. The wrong pasta for the main course. During the main course we asked twice if it was still coming. Meanwhile the kitchen was sometimes smoking and it didn't look like the order was being prepared. From arrival to main course approx. 1.5 hours. We would have liked to order dessert but no one came and asked. Later on, the employees all met up with numerous friends in front of the door and more or less left the guests to their own devices. We then wanted to pay. We didn't get a receipt, we were just told the amount verbally. I have no idea if this was all booked or what we paid. I'm not making a fuss here, but I've never experienced anything like this before. PS: The pasta with beef fillet strips was cheap penne in tomato sauce with beef fillet (well done). We didn't expect that. The tortellini was probably homemade and also delicious. I don't know if I'll come back, even though I work in the catering industry myself and I know what it's like when someone's missing from the service. Unfortunately, as a guest you were just a number here.

I can't recommend this restaurant. I had a pizza with burrata and Parma ham, which you had to look for with a magnifying glass, so the price-performance ratio wasn't right. After my glass of wine spritzer I had to constantly sneeze and blow my nose, which doesn't speak for the quality of the wine. You don't get a receipt after paying, so you're also worried about it. There really are better restaurants in Erfurt.

Good service, but a lot of fake and not much Italian: It's not a stone oven pizza as stated on the menu!, pizzas are topped with some kind of cheap cheese instead of mozzarella, the Parma ham is some kind of cheaper ham, definitely not Parma ham, the base was just not good made, my companion's mushrooms were canned and therefore slightly sour. The wine, in our case a supposed Nero d'Avola, also left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. Unfortunately the worst “Italian” I’ve ever been to. The food was completely gone. Positive: The friendly service and the fact that the food was taken back without any problem.

The Italian restaurant “Trattoria Tartufo” is a real treat for all the senses. From the moment I walked through the door I felt like I was in a little piece of Italy. The atmosphere was simply magical, with warm lighting, rustic decor and soft Italian music in the background. Every visit was like a trip to Italy without leaving Erfurt. The food at “Trattoria Tartufo” was simply phenomenal. Every bite was full of flavor and freshness. The homemade pasta was deliciously cooked al dente, and the pizzas were authentic and crispy. The selection of wines completed the dining experience perfectly. The service was always attentive and friendly, which made my visit even more pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend Trattoria Tartufo. If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with a charming atmosphere and exquisite dishes, then this is definitely the place for you. A real treat for all the senses!

I reserved this restaurant because of the good reviews. Which I can't understand at all. The rating of 4.4 out of 5 is not justified. I would give it a rating of 2. I reserved the table for a larger group and had the table confirmed again by phone. On the day itself, no table was prepared, it was only made when we arrived. We had the table on the 1st floor, the room was nice and airy. Bad advice on daily specials, extremely long waiting times for drinks. I can only comment on two dishes with truffles; they hardly tasted like truffles. I can't comment on the others. The hot drinks we ordered were forgotten. When we ordered the invoice, we canceled it. The waiter then apologized and said we would get it on the house. Of course, these were initially forgotten and only donated when we wanted to go and pay. The bill (all separately) could not be paid at the table. To do this we had to go downstairs. The corridor was very narrow, about 1 m wide. We had to wait there and the rest (10 people) on the stairs and the staff had to constantly squeeze past us with food for the other guests. It was anything but pleasant. Some of the bills were mixed up and dishes were forgotten or booked incorrectly. There was no tip and we were all served. Food was ok, drinks overpriced, service was a disaster. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.

Hello everyone, There is a nice little Italian restaurant here on different floors. You can sit inside and outside. The prices are good and the food is very tasty. The service is attentive and friendly. The seats are a bit close together and some of the decorations could be rethought... But this is about the food and that's great. The menu offers a good selection, the staff is very friendly, and complaints are taken seriously. We liked the food very much. The price-performance ratio is right. It's better to come on foot, you have to look for parking spaces.

I've now driven an extra 130km for the third time to get something delicious to eat and, above all, to drink what I consider to be the tastiest Pinot Grigio. I will gladly come again.

Food was so-so...Tagliatelle Salomon...was plentiful, but didn't taste like much content. We were given a starter platter for 6 people that cost 15 EUR per person, which is incomprehensible, for 90 euros there wasn't much on it. And in the end no card payment was possible...Many customers went looking for an ATM. Something should have been said beforehand. Was very close to the table. We won't be coming back.

We had already ordered space for 13 people weeks in advance. Unfortunately we had to wait in front of the restaurant until the tables were free again. Then we were divided into two tables. After some discussions we were finally seated at a table. The waiter apologized profusely and that was it for us. Food was good. Ambience very nice, but everything is very cramped. If you don't have a problem with being close to people, I can recommend the restaurant.

Short-term pre-order for 10 people on Saturday was perfect. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly.

Location: Very easy to reach from the city center. About five minutes walk from the cathedral. I don't think there are that many parking spaces here, but maybe there are parking garages hidden somewhere. There are other cafes and restaurants all around. By the way, we came without a reservation and had to wait about 5 minutes on a Saturday evening around 6 p.m. (Easter Saturday). Ambiance: The house itself with its green facade looks very inviting! The house is two floors, a bit narrow, but also super cozy. Red checkered tablecloths and the general furniture exude a pleasant charm. Staff: Busy, friendly and in a good mood. We immediately felt welcome... Everything seems very well organized. Eat: There is a large selection of different pasta dishes and pizzas, as well as antipasti or for fluid tastes: many wine variations. We didn't have to wait very long for our food. Our order included an Aperol, Coke, Pizza Quattro Formaggio (143) and the Penne Quattro Formaggi (53). Both tasted very good, although I found the pizza even better. The floor was perfect. Thin but not too hard and the tomato sauce also has a slightly sweet note that I particularly liked. So really highly recommended! Price: Absolutely OK We paid €37 as described above. We would definitely come again. Miscellaneous: For smaller children who like to run around etc. In my opinion, the place is not necessarily suitable due to the narrowness, not even for wheelchair users. For more than two people, I think a reservation is advisable, especially on the weekend, if you want to be on the safe side

We went there with family and weren't particularly impressed. The food was okay, the service was nice, but the atmosphere was rather bad. A bit run down, not really tastefully decorated. We had a large appetizer platter that was carelessly put together. Olives, cauliflower and melon didn't fit.

We had reserved a table for 5:45 p.m., but we were immediately told in the restaurant that we had to leave again at 7:00 p.m. When the guests were seated, the tables always had to be moved to the side so that they could sit down, with their jackets lying next to them because there was no coat rack. Penne with beef fillet tips, champions and gorgonzola sauce....the penne is not fresh, the meat is not fillet but firm and at least from the day before, so there are some meat leftovers....3 slices of champions from the can....we have never had anything so bad Ate Italian in a ritorante. The whole thing is a NO GO...

Food was OK, but not super great. Service etc. good grade 2. So you can recommend it, but you don't have to expect anything special here.

If I want to be sure that I will go home a little happy, I come here, because it will definitely offer what I want. From the boss to the youngest employees, you feel personally cared for. The service is prompt and expert. The boss also takes care of minor complaints himself. The offering ranges from the best pizza I know, and I already know some competitors, to impeccably prepared main courses, be they fish or meat dishes. The changing and original range of fish varieties is particularly highlighted. Over time, I have been served monkfish, turbot and sea bass of impeccable quality. The unique pizza is thin, crispy and still juicy. Cannot be compared with the cheap cheese cake bases often offered by other suppliers. Plus a pleasantly varied selection of wines including an excellent espresso to say goodbye. The only downside is that it's a bit cramped and you have to look for the men's toilet on the second floor. The food was very tasty. The waiter, however, impossible. At first he wanted to squeeze the three of us into a table for two. Then we had barely finished eating when he came and said he needed the table. Just wanted to get rid of us. IMPOSSIBLE! We won't be coming back and can't recommend it given this service.
