La Gondola in Erfurt

I have no idea why the restaurant has such good reviews, the food was absolutely disappointing. The pizza is small and doesn't taste particularly good. The Pozza comes from a normal oven, has virtually no edge and too much cheese. The bruschetta is a cheap baguette that is soggy. If you order bruschetta with pesto, you get bread spread with pesto. The tiramisu was a tiny portion for over €7, but it was tasty. The service was okay, but it didn't add any Italian flair. The restaurant is located right on the water and is nice and small inside - the yellow walls give it an Italian flair.

Tuna carpaccio was tasty and very thinly sliced ​​(as it should be), but it was covered in lots of whole black peppercorns and only a few pink peppercorns as it was actually described on the menu. Portion was very small for 12.00. When I asked for bread, there were toasted/baked, totally dry slices....after asking, they first said that there was no fresh bread (not anymore at 7 p.m.????), shortly afterwards they brought me fresh bread.. ..Aha... In comparison, the side salad was a lot of iceberg, a little rocket, 1 sliced ​​tomato, a few slices of cucumber - but a delicious dressing. The baked pennette with salmon and spinach were quite blandly seasoned...and somehow in a tomato sauce and not - as is more appropriate - cream sauce. The open Pinot Grigio was from a 1.5/2 l bottle - so it hardly had the Pinot Gris taste that we know... Price-performance ratio is not right here, the interior was colorfully mixed with different styles, the service seemed untrained and not very motivated (cleared up late, even though there was hardly anything going on, didn't ask for more drinks or dessert, brought old menu cards instead of new ones, etc.), but she was still nice. A rather disappointing visit with more expectations - after reading the menu in advance. Conclusion: All in all I found it quite loveless and dispassionate - at prices that were, in my opinion, excessive. It's a shame actually.

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Erfurt. Fresh and excellent cuisine is available at great prices. The service is excellent, the customer is king here. The ambience is the cherry on the cake - centrally in Erfurt you sit directly on the Gera.

Very nice restaurant on the Gera. Very great ambience, great atmosphere. Food was reasonably good. Unfortunately, the staff is neither really professional nor friendly. You can do it if you haven't made a reservation and can't find anything else for Saturday evening. Otherwise there are much better restaurants in the area.

Affordably priced, but portions a bit small compared to other places. Taste OK. There were two of us and, interestingly, we received two different menus. Unfortunately, when I visited, the staff was visibly overwhelmed, which resulted in longer waiting times and a messy picture behind the counter.

Fantastic location right on the river bank, great selection of food. Why the draft beer is lukewarm only becomes clear when we ask: the beer cooling was weak that day, so there is lukewarm beer. I don't understand why the white wine is also lukewarm, but perhaps the two drinks are friends. People: If your tap system is weak, I would like to know when you order. Then I just drink bottled beer. In itself a very nice example of socialism, and I always thought that was 35 years old by now... The main course came while we were still busy with the starter. Reason from the nice service specialist: the kitchen was a little faster today. Basta. See above, but we have now reached capitalism, so behavior like that no longer comes across as great. Delicious food, even if the portions are manageable, prices are ok. Unfortunately, even with the best will in the world, there is only one point left for service orientation, which is still a lot of room for improvement.

The food tastes very good (I had a tuna pizza) and the workers are very friendly and nice. I really liked the food and it really filled me up and I'm really convinced that it's one of the best pizzas in Erfurt

Unfortunately very disappointed. We had 2 pasta dishes (ribbon noodles with porcini mushrooms and pasta with salmon and spinach), which were relatively small in portion size. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't convincing - it wasn't seasoned much and was rather carelessly prepared. The atmosphere outside is quite pleasant.

Food was very good, but the terrace was quite messy and the staff very busy. Visitors were told before 8 p.m. that they could not eat because the kitchen was closing.

Best Italian in Erfurt. We have been guests for years. The food is delicious and at absolutely fair prices. Service is top. Guests are treated like family. Even though we are only there a few times a year, we are always recognized. An absolute favorite for my mom and me. Even if we just go for a drink, we receive an absolutely warm welcome, although this is obviously not profitable for the restaurant (unfortunately worth mentioning, as it is rather difficult with all the other Italians in Erfurt). When you eat at La Gondola, you get much more than just a good meal!

Actually visited this restaurant not on purpose since we were just hungry and looking for something in the area which aroused our interest and the choice fell on this beautiful Italian place right on the side of Gera river and across of the Small Synagogue.

A really great place. It was very very tasty. Extra requests were taken into account. We had spaghetti with Bolognese, mega. Pasta with salmon and spinach, perfect to the point. Pizza Hawaii and with tuna, very delicious... all in all it was a great evening. Very child-friendly and nice service. Would love to come back.

Sometimes, you need a little bit of humility and simplicity in the places where one may eat. Giovanni makes surprisingly good food every single time, and his lovely partner is always so sweet, patient, and accommodating. I've had steak dishes, pizza, salads soups and more here and they are all made even better by the fact that LA Gondola is unassuming, comfortable and simple. I always feel at ease when I dine here. I love it, and I have had some genuinely good experiences here and wish the fine folks at La Gondola nothing but the best. They work awfully hard, too!

We had the beef and swordfish capaccio. Both were excellent, both in terms of taste and appearance. The service is also extremely courteous and friendly. We sat very comfortably on the balcony over the Gera with a great view and would be happy to come back at any time 😊

Cozy restaurant with super friendly service. I was there alone, on the way back from the Leipzig Book Fair, and she made it very easy for me to feel super comfortable. The pasta with porcini mushrooms and duck was also very tasty, and for book lovers it might be interesting to know that Käpt'n Blaubär explores Erfurt in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant La Gondola. Small, very cozy Italian restaurant in Erfurt city center, a place where you can forget about stress and hectic pace for a while. The menu offers almost exclusively pasta dishes, pizza and typical Italian starters and soups as well as some salads. The service was extremely friendly and open. The seafood salad is highly recommended. We would love to come back.

Es ist solide, aber nichts besonderes. Pizzen waren ok aber recht klein. Die Nudeln meiner Frau waren nichts, kaum Geschmack dran. Durchschnitts-Italiener.

Sehr gutes Essen und eine top Bedienung. Auch die Lage ist toll. Wir würden das Lokal gerne mit nach Hause nehmen.

Wir hatten eine Tomatensuppe, die versalzen und völlig unspektakulär war. Beide Pizzen waren schlechter als von Dr.Oetker . Meine vegetarische Pizza sollte laut Kellnerin reichhaltig mit Gemüse wie Brokkoli, Zucchini , Blumenkohl und vielem mehr belegt sein . Das Ergebnis sah nüchtern und deprimierend aus . Nur ein paar kleine gegarte Salatgurkenstücke . Der Geschmack war ebenfalls zum abgewöhnen . Auch der Beilagensalat mit 2 Tomatenstücken inklusive hartem Strunk war schlechter als auf so mancher Autobahnraststätte .Wir kommen nicht wieder zurück . Schöne Lage hin oder her . Als wir das beim Bezahlen erwähnten ,zog die Kellnerin nur den Betrag meines Tees ab .

Ich aktualisiere meine Bewertung gern mal, wenn sich die Möglichkeit ergibt, das Lokal endlich mal zu testen. Schon 3 Anläufe gehabt und jedes Mal geschlossen obwohl im Internet geöffnet steht. Einfach ärgerlich.

Mein/unser Lieblingsitaliener in Erfurt. Klein, aber fein, ob auf einen Aperol Spritz am Nachmittag oder ein schönes Essen zu zweit am Abend. Die Karte lässt keine Wünsche offen, sehr gute Weinauswahl. Bei den netten Inhabern fühlt man sich immer wohl und wird gut beraten.

Tolles Restaurant mit kleinen Abstrichen aber gut :) 1. Ambiente >> Die Lage an der Gera einfach Top, hier kommt ein wenig Italien Feeling auf. Innen wirkt es etwas in die Jahre gekommen ( Sanitäranlage ) 2. Preis Leistung >> Das Essen ist unschlagbar günstig und gut. Dafür wird bei den Getränkepreisen gut zugelangt, dadurch überlegt man 2x noch etwas zu trinken. 3. Personal und Service Absolut Top hier fehlte rein garnichts. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder :)

Hello , das Essen war in Ordnung( Preis Leistung aber definitiv mehr als Top ), hätte meiner Meinung nach ein bisschen mehr gewürzt sein können ( Spaghetti mit Tomatensoße/ Mozzarella und Parmesan), aber wie schon gesagt "in Ordnung". Das Ambiente ist natürlich unschlagbar schön , gelegen am Wasser 👍 Wer nett sitzen will und Lust auf Pasta/ Pizza hat, oder einfach nur ein Getränk zu sich nehmen will 👍👍. Einen schönen wünsche ich .

Ganz bezaubernd. Ich habe meine Gastgeber gefragt, was hier zu empfehlen wäre und die Antwort lautete: „Alles". Habe mich zugleich davon überzeugt und bei schönster Sicht auf den Fluss noch ein neues Gespräch mit der Inhaberin führen dürfen. Ich komme sicher wieder.

Super schöne Location in der Erfurter Innenstadt Nähe Krämerbrücke sowie unweit Fischmarkt und Anger. :) Kleines italienisches Restaurant direkt an der Gera. Bei gutem Wetter lässt es sich wunderbar draußen auf der Terrasse über dem Fluss sitzen - unglaublich schön. Zudem super freundliches Personal, leckere Pizza und angenehmes Flair. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Wunderschön an der werra gelegen, mitten in der Innenstadt und trotzdem ruhig. Nur vögel und eine einzelne Ente. Die Kellnerin war total sympathisch, aufmerksam, kompetent und gut gelaunt, obwohl so viel los war und sie alleine. Ich hatte Spaghetti Bolognese - sehr lecker. Tolles Preis -Leistungs- Verhältnis.
