Trattoria Don Carlo in Berlin

Wir haben zu zweit einen sehr schönen Abend mit leckerem Essen und anregenden Getränken serviert von einer sehr zuvorkommenden Bedienung genießen können.

Ein Absolutes Stamm Restaurant für mich schon seit Kindheitstagen. Ich komme immer sehr gerne wieder aufgrund des Guten Essens und der familiären Atmosphäre. Ebenfalls toll ist die Möglichkeit Essen zum mitnehmen abzuholen. Besonders zu empfehlen sind da die Spaghetti Carbonara!

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit schöner Tischdecke. Alle Personal waren gut drauf. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Essen war auch toll.

Einrichtung eher Einfach. Essen Gut. Außer Pizza - ich habe noch nie so eine schlechte Pizza bekommen!!

Ich komme seit Jahren in dieses Restaurant und bin jedes Mal begeistert. Das Fleisch und der Fisch sind immer hervorragend zubereitet und von bester Qualität. Man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich Don Carlo, der immer super freundlich ist und dafür sorgt, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt. Auch das gesamte Service-Team ist großartig. Die Kellner sind aufmerksam, herzlich und sorgen immer für gute Stimmung. Vor allem der Kellner mit der unverwechselbaren Wahnsinns-Stimme bringt mich jedes Mal zum Lachen! Für mich ist dieses Restaurant seit Jahren eine feste Adresse. Tolles Essen, tolle Menschen und eine Atmosphäre, in der man sich einfach wohlfühlt. Ich liebe es und komme immer wieder gerne zurück! ❤️🍷🍝

Wir haben gestern sehr kurzfristig am Mittwoch einen Tisch zu 18.30Uhr für 8 Personen bestellt. Die Reservierung war problemlos. Ich war erstmalig im Don Carlo und von Anfang an positiv überrascht. Nach dem Empfang an der Tür, wurde ich sogleich zu einem sehr nett vorbereiteten Tisch geführt ( Foto füge ich bei ). Ich wartete noch ein wenig auf die weiteren Gäste, in dieser Zeit wurde ich von einem sehr zuvorkommend Kellner bedient. Ein schnell gebrachter Cappuccino überbrückte die Wartezeit. Mir ist auch immer mein Wohlbefinden in einem Restaurant wichtig. Das war sofort vorhanden. Unser Tisch füllte sich zusehends und sogleich wurden wir zurückhaltend und dennoch aufmerksam bedient. Ein sehr gut gelaunter und mit Späßen auf der Lippe ausgestatteter Kellner brachte uns die Getränke. Kurz angemerkt, es gab nur eine Sorte Bier, aber vom Faß. Mir egal, ich bin kein Biertrinker. Es wurde uns dann die Tagesangebote, an einer Tafel geschrieben, vorgeschlagen. Unsere gewählten Gerichte kamen zusammen und waren, egal welcher Art, alle ausreichend und lecker. Da wir ein Geburtstagskind dabei hatten, erlaubten wir uns, zwar verhalten, aber dennoch hörbar ein Lied zu singen. Auch das wurde mit einem freundlichen Lächeln, seitens der Geschäftsleitung bedacht. Die Preise sind, wie ich meine, der Örtlichkeit angemessen und moderat. Wir fühlten uns alle sehr wohl aufgehoben, deshalb gibt es von uns eine Empfehlung für einen Besuch im " Don Carlo".

Leider entsprach der Besuch in diesem Restaurant nicht den Erwartungen. Es fiel auf, dass Mitarbeitende stark parfümiert waren, was am Tisch als unangenehm empfunden wurde. Wir besuchten das Restaurant während der Weihnachtsfeiertage und wurden im Wintergarten platziert, obwohl zu diesem Zeitpunkt andere Plätze frei waren. Trotz aufgestellter Heizungen blieb der Bereich sehr kalt, sodass wir nach einiger Zeit sogar mit Jacken sitzen mussten. Bestellt wurden das Weihnachtsgericht mit Gans und Ente und Nudelgerichte. Sowohl die Gans als auch die Ente machten den Eindruck, lediglich aufgewärmt worden zu sein. Die Konsistenz war sehr zäh, der Geschmack unangenehm, teils sogar verdorben wirkend, begleitet von einem auffälligen Geruch. Ein Gericht ging daher zurück. Die Nudelgerichte waren essbar, jedoch geschmacklich eher schwach und stark ölig. Die dazu servierten Pilze waren eher schleimig als bissfest. Als Entgegenkommen wurde ein Eis aufs Haus angeboten, das sehr süß war. Ein weiterer Ausgleich, etwa in Form eines Aperitifs oder Kaffees, wurde nicht angeboten. Die aufgerufenen Preise, insbesondere für die Weihnachtsgerichte, waren für die gebotene Qualität nicht akzeptabel. Ich kann das Restaurant aufgrund dieser Erfahrung nicht empfehlen.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant !!! Das Personal sehr aufmerksam und nett !!! Essen absolut Spitze !!! Man fühlt sich hier sofort gut aufgehoben !!! Wir werden jetzt Mal wieder öfter hier einkehren !!!

A reliable address for delicacies for years. Even with a changing menu of dishes, the food has always been completely convincing. The service is prompt, always ready and quick, and also very humorous. Every visit so far has been a delightful feast. Conclusion: This is why it's a regular stop.

A very nice, family-run, typically Italian restaurant with really good value and authentic Italian charm. We like to go there when we just want a pizza or a delicious pasta dish. Extremely charmingly run, we always feel very comfortable. Prices haven't completely skyrocketed either.

We came here for dinner based on the good reviews and ordered salmon fillet (€27.50), a large salad with feta cheese and egg, and a cream of tomato soup. We liked the ambiance, but the salmon was unfortunately a bit dry, but the soup was really delicious. What we noticed was particularly negative: We noticed that at several tables, guests were asked by the waiter if they wanted an espresso or grappa "on the house" to finish the meal. This didn't happen to us when we asked for the bill and paid. This surprised us greatly. When we pointed this out, I asked a waiter how they decide who gets served something. The waiters were visibly surprised and referred us to the manager. He simply explained that he decides this himself, without going into further detail. This gave us the impression that certain guests were being favored, which didn't leave a good feeling. Combined with the rather disappointing main course, we unfortunately won't be visiting this restaurant again and can't recommend it, even though we generally enjoyed the ambiance. If you're going to offer such gestures, you should extend them equally to all guests and not treat anyone differently. This left us feeling less than welcome.

I haven't been there in a few years. I was pleasantly surprised by the service, as always. The food was very high quality. Highly recommended.

Ein grandioses Restaurant mit erlesenen Speisen. Auf der Karte jeden Tag frisch. Zudem empfehlen die bezaubernden Kellner genau dass was man sich wünscht. Ein überragender Service. Wir wollen nie wieder woanders sein!!! Das Essen kann man nicht beschreiben, da einem die Worte fehlen. Ein Hochgenuss. Wir fühlen uns hier zuhause. Grazie Mille an alle, die mit einer Perfektion uns und vielen Anderen einen perfekten Genuß bieten. Ti abbiamo accolto nel nostro cuore e ti abbracciamo.

A welcoming host. Many regular customers, but even new guests receive equally friendly and extremely professional service from the staff. A great selection of food and drinks. Always a pleasure when I'm in Berlin. Reservations might be advisable.

Delicious large pizza, okay priced

Authentic enjoyment at Don Carlo Our visit to Don Carlo was a real culinary highlight. The pizza impressed with its authentic Italian taste - crispy base, perfectly seasoned and topped with high-quality ingredients. Exactly how a real Italian pizza should be! A special experience was the truffle pasta, which was freshly prepared right at the table. The scent of the truffle, the perfect consistency of the pasta and the balanced seasoning made this dish an absolute pleasure. The Don Carlo not only offers excellent food, but also a stylish ambience and friendly service. If you appreciate real Italian cuisine, you've come to the right place!

Had a schnitzel, bought in, industrially produced, absolute nogo! The 2 wedges of fries were cold and greasy. That really wasn't good.

I can only recommend the restaurant! It's a little more expensive but it's worth it. What is important is; please reserve in advance! On weekends it's usually full after 6 p.m.! Seen on the video, "Salt-crusted sea bass!"

Simply SUPER delicious! But what stands out is that the staff provide absolutely fantastic service. It just puts you in a good mood! I have to notice that again and again when I've been there. The only drawback is the smoking area, which means it smells like cigarette smoke everywhere in the restaurant because the door is often wide open.. :/

Spacious trattoria, lots of space, comfortable chairs and tables. Waiters who have been working there for decades. A chef who and his team present high culinary quality. Great: grilled fish or in white wine, tagliatelle with truffle, saltimbocca al limone. Pizza has very thin, crispy dough. Wines excellent. All around a great restaurant

We are two Italian guys who came to Berlin yesterday for the IFA 2024. We ate divinely, a highly recommended restaurant 👌

4th update (07/24): The opening times have (unfortunately) changed: Except for Sundays, which are still 2 p.m., they now open at 3 p.m. The menu has been partially changed - not always advantageous to my taste. For example, Scalopine gorgonzola with risotto is not an improvement in my opinion (previously as a side dish: lightly fried or fried potatoes plus daily vegetables). But the quality and service are still good. 3rd update (07/23): The Don Carlo has of course long since returned to “normal operation” - but they no longer offer lunch and only open from 2 p.m. The quality is still good (I consider the tuna salad drowned in oil to be an outlier). 2nd update (07/2021): Yay. Don Carlo back in normal operation, of course under Corona conditions. What does this mean: Unvaccinated people etc. are also allowed to sit in the (covered) terrace area. Mask requirement e.g. on the way indoors, for example to the toilet. The quality was maintained. The team has also remained stable. 1st update (2020): Since April 1st, Don Carlo has been offering a pick-up service between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. during these Corona times. The quality of the food is still very good - even if you now have to pick it up and eat it at home. Corona caution also applies when picking up - see photos. For me the best Italian restaurant in Schmargendorf. The very friendly staff always manages to create an Italian atmosphere. The selection of dishes is sufficiently large and is completed by a daily menu. The Frutti di Mare as a starter is a poem. The prices are a little higher than in the run-of-the-mill pizzerias, but appropriate for the quality offered. I can recommend it without reservation. Reservations should be made in the evenings and on weekends. Update: The three of us went in yesterday and it was almost as usual. The poem was the poem again, the Frutti was again good to kneel down on. The "almost" referred to the dessert. A little provoked by comparison with a local (not really) competitor who has Zabaione on the menu, I also received this - even though it's not on the menu. Quality: I was still eating the antipasti, and the fillet didn't change that... Conclusion: Even more unreserved recommendation - if this seems linguistically questionable, please remember that Berliners like to use the super-superlative "einzigste(r)", i.e. "alone than alone". According to my scientific expertise, this can only be attributed to a (language) syndrome triggered by the Berlin Wall.

We have been coming to your restaurant for many years and have always been satisfied. Now we always pick up the food we ordered and were, but not always, satisfied. But on Sunday, May 16, 2021, there was really more than just anger. Part of our order was missing and one pizza even had a missing topping. We will now place and collect our orders somewhere else. Our family is very disappointed.

Bei unserem letzten Besuch in diesem Restaurant haben wir uns einen Loup die Mare für zwei Personen gegönnt. Hervorragend, am Tisch filetiert und sehr gut geschmeckt.

Die authentische italienische Delikatesse hat mich erobert! Alle Verkäuferinnen hier sind Italiener. Sie sind sehr gastfreundlich und können sich lange mit jedem Gast unterhalten. Jedes Nudelgericht ist erstklassig. Ich werde wieder kommen.

Essen zu teuer. Raucher werden als Menschen 2.Klasse behandelt. Man gibt ihnen deutlich zu verstehen, dass sie nicht erwünscht sind. Und das, obwohl sie einen separaten Raucherraum haben. Habe mich noch nie so unwohl gefühlt.
