Super friendly and attentive service! Pasta was also tasty, but slightly more expensive prices.

We have been coming here for Christmas parties with the company for over 20 years. What can I say? For me it's by far the best Italian restaurant in Hamburg. Always fresh and delicious. Great and attentive team. Very hardworking everyone.

The food was excellent and we are very grateful to the host that we were given a place for two. However, Enzo is very close. The restaurant is very small and every square centimeter is used for tables and chairs. We sat at the entrance to the kitchen next to the little table with the Parmesan wheel. Suddenly, while we were eating, tables and chairs were loudly being arranged next to us for a large group. The group's arriving guests topped the noise with disrespectful behavior. So we had the feeling that we wanted to disappear as quickly as possible, despite the good food. The food is expensive.

Trattoria da Enzo on Wexstrasse has been our absolute favorite Italian restaurant for years, and our last visit once again proved why that is. From the first to the last minute, the evening was a culinary experience at the highest level. As a starter we enjoyed fresh oysters, vitello tonnato and beef carpaccio with truffle. The oysters were fresh and perfectly presented, the Vitello Tonnato impressed with its tender veal texture and creamy tuna sauce, and the beef carpaccio with truffle was a real treat - sliced ​​very thinly and rounded off with the intense aroma of the truffle. The highlight of the evening, however, was the truffle pasta, which was served swirled in cheese. This dish is simply a poem! The pasta was perfectly al dente, the truffle sauce was creamy and aromatic, and tossing it in the cheese gave the whole thing an additional, savory touch. An absolute must-try for every visit! The food was, as always, excellent – ​​fresh, lovingly prepared and with high-quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere in the trattoria is always cozy and inviting. Conclusion: Trattoria da Emzo remains our go-to Italian restaurant. If it's too crowded on Wexstrasse, you can also try the Trattoria da Enzo Due in Großneumarkt. This restaurant offers more space and an outdoor terrace, which is particularly popular on summer days. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine, you've come to the right place.

I love this place! An extremely cozy trattoria with very good food. Absolutely recommended for the finale: Tiramisu! A classic, but on a different level here.

The food wasn't bad, we had sea bream and entrecote, but the chef was probably newly in love, he was very generous with the coarse salt. The side dishes, okay, but very clear (two wafer-thin slices of potatoes, 4 half Brussels sprouts, some leaf spinach and three quartered carrots). Really not exactly enough to fill you up. Very narrow, hardly any space between the tables, difficult to get through without knocking over the wine with your butt on the next table. The operation was new and probably didn't know the procedures. Trying hard, but there is room for improvement. We didn't have to wait long, but there is still potential there too. I found the price to be quite high, but I missed the corresponding value.

The food is nice but not amazing or exceptional, very average. And the experience is super annoying, you cannot see the menu or the prices of anything, it’s a surprise in the end. Even when we asked the for the bill the waiter just told us how much we should pay and we couldn’t double check anything. Too pricey for what is has to offer.

La comida y la relación calidad-precio, excelentes. El sitio, agradable, aunque las mesas estaban demasiado juntas. Pero lo de los 2 camareros que nos atendieron fue surrealista. El que se ocupaba de las bebidas no se aclaraba y andaba de mesa en mesa preguntando para quién eran las cosas. Y el otro camarero pretendió que le dijéramos qué queríamos comer sin traernos la carta. Se la pedimos y hubo un malentendido, pues yo usé la palabra inglesa y no la alemana. Me dijo que no tenían (sí tenían, luego vimos cómo a otros clientes sí se la daban) y procedió a decir a toda velocidad y hablando para el cuello de su camisa algunos de los platos que ofrecían. Ante nuestra cara de susto lo repitió en inglés, a la misma velocidad y con el mismo desinterés. Y al poco de terminar los platos de pasta nos cobró. Iba a escribir que nos trajo la cuenta, pero ni eso. Nos enseñó la cantidad anotada en un papel y nos puso delante el datáfono. Pagué (no nos dio ni recibo; no lo pedí, lo reconozco, pero no debería haber tenido que hacerlo). Le comenté lo mal que me había parecido todo. Dijo que había habido un malentendido y que quien había pedido la cuenta era la persona que estaba en la mesa de al lado. Me quedé sin el postre que hubiera tomado si se hubieran molestado en preguntar. Añado que hablo alemán bastante aceptablemente y que llevamos tres días en Hamburgo y en ningún otro sitio hemos tenido problemas de comunicación.

Food was good, price performance didn't match, too expensive! Not enough for the money. We had the feeling that we would be processed quickly. Only recommendation of expensive dishes. Ordered a large beer, received 0.25 and 0.30 was on the bill. Paid for olives and bread, only received olives. Make up your own mind, no recommendation from us.

Bei Enzo fühlt man sich vom ersten Moment an, wie in einer Trattoria in Italien. Sehr freundliche familiäre Atmosphäre gepaart mit toller Beratung zum Menu. Von Antipasti speciale über Spaghetti Vongole bis zum Hauptgang (Thunfischsteak) war jede Speise ein Genuss. Wir kommen wieder. Ce vediamo la prossima volta.

We went to the trattoria for the first time today and almost felt like we were in Italy. No menu, just hard-to-read boards on the wall. Listened to the waiter's recommendations and chose. Ordered antipasti a casa in a vegetarian version to share for 2, unfortunately sometimes difficult to share as foccatia with tomato was only included once. But everything tasted good! Ordered pasta with truffles and porcini mushrooms as the main course. Homemade pasta tossed in Parmesan and garnished with plenty of truffles, same with the porcini mushrooms. Quantity very clear! Price-performance !? Tiramisu as dessert was very tasty but a bit too expensive for the portion. When we asked about the bill, we were offered a digestif, which, to our surprise, ended up on the bill. We assumed that this one would have been on the house! As is often the case in many other restaurants. A misunderstanding or scam? We can recommend the trattoria, but please be careful!😉

Since its saturday evening and my first dinner on arrival in hamburg,i ensured prior reservations and it was well received on my arrival Bread and olives were excellent taste and also the red wine recommended by them,fish was fresh and i asked for some chillies flavoured olive oil and it made the best combination Service took around 30 minutes,but the ambience is good and it takes time for fish and more over restaurant was full,while i asked for invoiced,i clarified that i had only one wine glass,but my invoice mentioned 2 glass and was corrected immediately with apologies Everything was nice and i will do visit them again

The waiter was very friendly at first, but when we only wanted to order a main course without a starter, his interest in us was over. The portions were very measly. When billing, the billing device was simply left in front of us and then the waiter was gone for 10 minutes.

Vorab: ich glaube, wir waren der Albtraum eines manchen Restaurants. Eine echte Chaostruppe. Ich hatte reserviert, saß eine ganze Weile alleine am Tisch, weil meine Familie mit Kleinkindern wegen diverser Missgeschicke fast eine Stunde zu spät kam. Drumherum brummte der Laden, alle anderen Tische besetzt . Es war mir oberpeinlich, aber die Freundlichkeit von Mitarbeitern und Chef (?) hat mir geholfen. Als schließlich fast alle beisammen waren (eine Freundin stieß noch später dazu), kamen auch bald die Speisen, zum Teil Mittagstisch, zum Teil à la carte, sprich von der aufgestellten Tafel. Das ging etwas durcheinander, die Suppen vom Mittagstisch fehlten, die eine Sorte Fisch gab's nicht mehr, die Beilagen waren andere als angekündigt - und alles schmeckte sehr gut! Am Schluss gab es noch ein paar überzählige Desserts dazu. Das war sprichwörtliche Familienfreundlichkeit, man fühlte sich wie bei einem privaten Zusammenkommen (wo ja auch nicht immer alles nach Plan läuft). Vielen Dank dafür! Also: entspannen und genießen, was kommt! :)

Best Italian outside of Italy. Took the pasta con pomodori fresh with lots of parmigiana. Twice. Heaven on a plate. Nice people, nice atmosphere.

Salle italienne classique avec photo des clients "célèbres" aux murs. Nappes à carreaux ou blanches. Ambiance OK, mais tables un peu serrées. Spécialités du jour sur ardoise, viandes et poissons de qualité mais un peu cher. Service correct. Au final une bonne impression.

Wonderful Italian restaurant in Hamburg's Neustadt that I can highly recommend. As soon as you set foot in Trattoria da Enzo, you immediately feel like you are in Italy. The menu is clear and the wine selection is varied and of high quality. All dishes are prepared and served with fresh ingredients. The service is very attentive and we had a lovely Italian evening. The truffle pasta made from the Parmesan wheel is particularly recommended. Whether for private or business reasons, everyone will find something for every occasion in this Italian insider tip.

Owner rude and disrespectful towards customers, the food is of excellent quality but this does not give the right to be rude towards people. Definitely not advisable.

Disappointing experience in May 2024. The menu was more or less imposed to all of us (7 people), even though we said we wanted to order a la carte, and mentioned it. Service was very long and not friendly. Special mention for the pasta which was good, though. Still remains expensive for what it was.

Geht bei anderen besser …. Waren zu zweit am 30.05.2024 12:00 zum Mittagstischpreis (inkl. Suppe, Hauptgericht und eine Dessert) in der Trattoria due da Enzo. Zu dem Zeitpunkt mit 6 Gästen besetzt. Wir wollten im Restaurant sitzen. Bei offener Fenstertür zog es vom oberen kleinen Raum. Gemäß Tafel bestellten wir zum Mittagsmenü einen Lupo di Mare mit Blumenkohlgratin und Pasta Pescadore und Garnelen. Für aufgeröstetes Brot und einige Oliven wurden später 1,00 belastet. Zum Essen wählten wir aus der Weinkarte eine Flasche Argiolas Meri Vermentino zu 32,50. Gebracht wurde eine andere Flasche, da es den Meri nicht mehr geben würde. Die Frage, ob der Preis denn identisch sei, erhielten wir nach 2 Minuten Rücksprache die Antwort, nein, 49,00. Wir wählten dann einen offenen halben Liter Rosé, den der Keller sportlich leider außerhalb des Glases auf die Tischdecke ausschenkte. Ein Wechsel des Tischtuches erfolgte nicht. PS Auf dem Weg zu der Toilette, lagen noch einige Flaschen Meri in einem Kühlschrank. Es sollte anscheinend ein teurerer Wein verkauft werden. Bevor Fisch und die Pasta um 12:19 serviert wurden, erhielten die Kellner aus der Küche den Hinweis, statt „Lupo di Mare“ gibt es jetzt Thunfisch. Eigenartig, zu wenig Ware eingekauft oder andere Gründe? Wir erhielten noch den Lupo di Mare. Der Lupo di Mare schmeckte fade/mehlig. Die Pasta waren kalt. Dieses reklamierten wir bei unserem dunkel gelockten Kellner. Zu der kalten Pasta bemerkte der Kellner „vielleicht haben die Spagetti zu lange gestanden“. Als Entschuldigung haben wir den Satz nicht verstanden. Sein Vorschlag, die Pasta aufzuwärmen, fand nicht unsere Zustimmung. Zum mehlig schmeckenden Fisch gab es weder einen Vorschlag noch Ersatz. Deshalb erbaten wir die Rechnung. Auch ohne Dessert wurden alle Speisen voll in Rechnung gestellt. Dieses empfanden wir frech. Die Trattorien da Enzo am Großneumarkt bzw. Wexstraße und dem erlebten Servce werden wir meiden.

Our group of 9 decided on a pasta dish from the cheese wheel with side dishes. The taste of the food was first class. Unfortunately my portion of noodles was the size of a man's fist. When I asked for a few extra noodles, they just smiled and ignored it. This at a price of around €25.00 is excessive, when we billed we were only shown the final amount on a cell phone, and requests for a receipt for consumption were ignored with a smile. We only received the receipt for credit card payment. The table next door was kind enough to hand me the uneaten bread to eat. It's a shame that you have to fill yourself up with bread

The boss made us a suggestion for a mixed starter of asparagus, bruscetta, burata and grilled calamari. We were charged for 4 starters (a total of around 50 euros). It was tasty but not fair.

Great food and Great service! Top marks from here.... The waiter recommended the fish of the day and we had the most delicious turbot as a main course. Before that, a selection of delicious small dishes (antipasti) and the most amazing mushroom pasta. Bellissimo!

Wir waren nach mehrjähriger Abwesenheit mal wieder vor Ort und wollten gut und gemütlich Essen gehen, wie wir es in dieser Location früher öfter gemacht haben. Insgesamt war es leider eine Enttäuschung. Das Essen war nicht mehr als „ok“, der Service eher schlecht. Das Essen für uns beiden kam mit 10minütigem Unterschied, Getränke haben wir wiederholt nachbestellen müssen. Wir haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt, das kannten wir so nicht. Und ganz ehrlich, ich bin gerne bereit, für gutes und schmackhaftes Essen, schön angerichtet und serviert, gerne etwas mehr zu zahlen. Hier stimmt das Verhältnis Essen, Ambiente und Service zu den Preisen leider garnicht mehr. Sehr schade, es war mal richtig gut…..

Ich muss der letzten schlechten Bewertung hier widersprechen. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Vorspeise/AntiPasti sehr sehr lecker, Die Pasta kommt (auf Wunsch) aus dem Käseleib und ist erstklassig. Die Desserts perfekt. Alles frisch gemacht und es schmeckt so, wie in Italien in einer Trattoria. Kein „Edel-Italiener“ sondern eine Trattoria. Für Hamburg normale Preise. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen wieder!

Authentic, perfectly handcrafted and enthusiastically presented Italian cuisine in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere, from the antipasti platter (the duck breast in tomato is particularly good) to the fish dishes (excellent swordfish) or the very tasty pasta made from a Parmesan wheel with truffles. Wir wurden trotz Reservierung an einen sehr kleinen Tisch im Durchgangsbereich gesetzt. Es war viel zu eng, voll und laut. Ständig wackelte unser Tisch von Menschen die an uns vorbeigingen und mit ihren Jacken unsere Papiertischdecke fast runter rissen. Die Pasta war schwer und sehr käsig, statt nach Trüffel zu schmecken. Dafür 29 €. Das war das Essen überhaupt nicht wert. Reine Abzocke!

Ich bin Italiener und schäme mich, dass diese Art von Restaurant mein Land repräsentiert. Der Preis war übertrieben für die "Qualität" der Speisen, die sie uns gaben (150 Euro für eine Antipasto für zwei, schlecht gekochte Pasta, zwei Gläser Wein und zwei Desserts, ein Witz!). Die Höflichkeit der Kellner und, wie ich glaube, des Besitzers war unglaublich, sehr unhöflich, schamlos und zusätzlich zu dem exorbitanten Preis bettelten sie uns fast um ein Trinkgeld an, als ob ihr Leben davon abhinge. Sie stellten uns unangenehme Fragen darüber. Als Italiener: Bitte, ich bitte Sie, NICHT in dieses Restaurant zu gehen. ES IST EINE SCHANDE.

The restaurant in question delivered a deeply disappointing dining experience, marked by exorbitant pricing, lackluster food quality, and notably discourteous service. Charging 135€ for a simple meal for two consisting of legumes, white spaghetti with a scant topping of truffles, 0.5 litres of "wine" and a dessert is excessively high, especially given the mediocrity of the dishes served. The staff's behavior, particularly the waiter's, was unacceptably rude; their practice of singing the menu rather than providing a written version obscured the prices and seemed designed to mislead. Furthermore, the insistence on a tip despite the substandard service and overall experience compounded the negative impression. Such a combination of overpricing, average (being generous) food, and impolite service makes the restaurant highly unsatisfactory and not recommendable.

Op aanraden van ons hotel hier op 2e kerstdag heen gegaan. Hele avond een leuke interactie gehad met de gastheer ondanks ons gebrekkige Duits. We hebben heerlijke voor- hoofd- en nagerechten (en wijn) gehad (de aanraders van de gastheer). Heerlijke sfeer, eten, service, en een echt authentiek Italiaans plekje! Prima bereikbaar vanuit het centrum. Als het restaurant helemaal vol zit met gasten is het wel een beetje luid, daar moet je tegen kunnen. Maar zeker een aanrader!

Wir hatten einen netten Abend bei einem schönen Ambiente. Die Auswahl der Gerichte hat uns sehr gefallen und auch geschmacklich war es, wie man es aus Italien kennt, lecker. Leider hatten wir uns jedoch preis-/ leistungstechnisch unter der von der Bedienung vorgeschlagenen Vorspeise etwas anderes vorgestellt. Eine relativ dünn ausgestattete Vorspeisenplatte für 4 Personen wurden uns mit rund 70€ in Rechnung gestellt. Aus diesem Grund würden wir nicht noch einmal zu Besuch kommen wollen.

Very very bad service . It took us 1 hour and 45 waiting for the pasta which was over cooked and cold . The drinks were perished ( Prosecco without bubbles) and they added in the bill without even apology Never again . Da Enzo is no longer what it used to be . It’s a pity . It’s a shame.

We might think that we had a different experience than the local italo-germen who we're there in majority. The best combination for a scam... go elsewhere.

Schönes Restaurant, leckeres Essen aber leider ist der Service völlig daneben. Wir saßen 30 min vor leeren Tellern, leeren Gläsern und warteten auf einen Kellner, damit er den Tisch abräumt. Sind dann einfach aufgestanden und haben am Tresen bezahlt. Leider auch hier kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Im Gegenteil: Völlige Ignoranz. Schade, hätte ein rundum perfekter Abend werden können.

Auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels sind wir im Da Enzo gelandet. Wir hatten einen ganz tollen Abend, fantastisches italienisches Essen und mit Gino den besten Kellner, den man sich wünschen kann. Die Atmosphäre versetzt einen für ein paar Stunden nach Italien, alles sehr authentisch und gemütlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder - liebe Grüße von den 6 Schweizern mit Hund😊

Nettes Ambiente - Lokal könnte auch in irgendeinem "borgo"sein, Speisen - gute Qualität der Zutaten, Zubereitung "echt" italienisch - "come di nonna" - daher die höheren Preise angemessen.

Vi havde fået anbefalet denne italienske restaurant og vi tænkte det skal da prøves. Og hold nu op en fantastisk oplevelse. For det første sad vi ude ved det sødeste lille bord og nød en sensommer aften og så fik vi det dejligste mad og vin man kunne ønske sig. Min kæreste og jeg fik begge pasta den ene med svampe og den anden med trøffel 👌 tjeneren var også rigtig sød. Alt i alt en fantastisk oplevelse og ikke sidste gang vi besøger dette sted 👌
