Pastaria Barmbek in Hamburg

Is the pastaria a treat? Absolutely! Here you can get a very reasonably priced lunch (under €10 and very filling, including salad and antipasti), friendly service, and an Italian atmosphere. There's plenty of vegetarian options on the menu, and if you don't always need a fancy Neapolitan pizza, you can get what I consider the best tomato sauce served on delicious homemade dough.

Pizza is probably meant to be with the crispy, thin crust. It's not my taste, but it's still delicious and the service is great.

This restaurant is definitely worth recommending. A lovely little (partially covered) outdoor area, friendly service, and really good food. There's hardly anything to criticize. At lunch, you even get a free salad and some bread. I would definitely go back.

Here, you'll be welcomed with great hospitality. The pineapple pizza is the best I've ever eaten, and the lunch special is unbeatable value for money. The espresso is also fantastic. A real Italian vacation feeling, one of my favorite places in Barmbek.

The food is good there! Update for July 2025 - Eat there - Lasagna came pre-cut (?) and was also smaller. Kind of a shame - but with a lot of cheese. Update for February 2024 - Delivery either cold or, more recently, with "extra salami" with two slices of salami. Better to charge €1.50 instead of €1.00 and actually put salami on it.

We came to the Thai Restaurant next door. After a rude welcome, we went inside after the smiling staff saw that we were out in the rain and invited us. The place was almost full. Despite that, a very nice table was set up in the corner. The service was very fast. The pasta and wine were very delicious. The trimus dessert was legendary. The bill was very reasonable. We wanted to try a different flavor but we came across the most delicious of the cuisine we know. The restaurant manager is Mekodon and he has a very sweet Turkish. Definitely recommended. Since the food was so delicious, we didn't even think of taking a picture of it.

We've been coming to Pastaria for years, it's like coming home. My sons and I have loved it for years and it is always great. Food, service and prices are great! Simon is the best, he knows every special request we have and is so attentive. A big compliment to the kitchen too. We are always happy to come to you.

I ordered spaghetti aglio e olio and asked in advance if there were tomatoes or something in it and it said pepperoni and garlic. I said please make it very spicy. I got an olive plate with spaghetti. When asked, they were rudely told that it was so original. I've eaten a lot of pasta aglio e olio in my life and often in Italy, but I've never had an olive dish like this with spaghetti.

Ordered online, so no review of the service and ambience. Ordered cannelloni and lasagna; Cannelloni partly charred, burnt black; Lasagna without any recognizable bechamel sauce, but gratinated with gouda and very sparingly seasoned - to put it kindly. That was nothing... but there are online alternatives.

Small, inconspicuous restaurant that deserves more attention. Very good, authentic Italian cuisine, the pizza is amazing and the daily menu offers variety every week. The tortellini in different variations are highly recommended. My personal insider tip when someone asks me about a good Italian restaurant.

Extremely delicious Italian food, the service lets you eat in peace and is there immediately at a wave. The portions are just perfect, not too much and not too little. We'd love to come back!

Didn't make a reservation during the week. If you were lucky, you got a table on a Wednesday. I received a very warm welcome and my praise goes first to the waiter. Since it was my first time there, I ordered a pizza 🍕. I imagine you can tell a good Italian by the pizza. Beforehand, I was served an appetizer in the form of olives, bread and a spread. And yes, the pizza was very good. I ordered garlic with it, which I got extra fresh. Afterwards there was a nightcap and I was completely satisfied. A very clear thumbs up from me. I will definitely plan Pastaria on my visits to Hamburg in the future.

Die einzigartige Zusammenstellung hat mich angenehm überrascht, normalerweise finde ich bei dieser Art an Vorspeise immer etwas nicht so lecker, aber hier wurde der Teller restlos aufgegessen. Die beiden Pizzen als Hauptspeise haben uns ebenfalls begeistert – ausnahmslos köstlich. Preis Leistung stimmt hier definitiv! Der Service verdient besondere Anerkennung: aufmerksam, stets präsent, schnell und freundlich. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und dieses Restaurant gerne weiterempfehlen.

Der Mittagstisch mit der Pizza Quattro Stagioni war sehr lecker, schnell serviert und zu empfehlen.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen zum Essen dort und haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Aufmerksamer Service und das Essen war wirklich gut - die Pizzen aus dünnem Teig mit knusprigen Rand reichhaltigem Belag. Die Pasta war ebenfalls super und der Tiramisu als Nachtisch viel größer als erwartet. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
