The roast beef with onions and cheese spaetzle were delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn, a dessert, was not a success.

It says it's open on Google Local but it's closed, which is very annoying.

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the beer garden was closed, and we just managed to get a table in the middle.

To be honest, I wasn't planning on going out for a big meal – it was more of a "come on, let's take a look" moment. And in the end, I sat there with half a chicken in front of me, a freshly tapped beer in my hand, and thought to myself: exactly right. The Trachtenheim has a kind of old Bavarian charm, but not artificial. No decor that screams "we're pretending it's rustic," just... authentic. Wooden tables, a bit loud, service in dirndls – not from a catalog, but because it just fits. Just like in the old days. The smell of roast meat and beer stalls hangs in the air a bit, but in a good way – it kind of makes you hungry. As for the food: hearty, honest, and hot. The portions aren't for gourmets on a diet, but if you come with an appetite, you'll be full and satisfied. My chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside – exactly how you want it. The potato salad wasn't your run-of-the-mill supermarket fare, but nicely sour, with a bit of onion, and well-seasoned. Not fancy, but just right. The waiter was a real character – a bit gruff in his tone, but friendly in his heart. If you can handle that, you'll quickly feel like a regular. Drinks came quickly, and when refilling, he even asked of his own accord if "a Maß" (literally, "may I have another Maß?") A brief moment, but you can tell: The people working here aren't just doing this on the side. Criticism? Yeah... if you're looking for something: The menu is quite classic. If you're looking for vegan experiments or Asian bowls, you've come to the wrong place. And parking is sometimes a bit of a hit and miss – but hey, it's Römerstraße. In conclusion: If you want Bavarian food without the frills, with character, and with the feeling that this isn't just a place for tourists, but real people – then the Trachtenheim is the place for you.

Who would have thought? While passing through and spontaneously looking for something to eat, I accidentally ended up here. And what can I say...the reviews are right! Really good! It's rustic and cozy. The menu is straightforward and quaint, and the food is fantastic. The portions were perfect. Not too big, not too small. The Kaiserschmarn deserves special praise...if not, it's one of the best we've ever eaten. Service was friendly and quick. So, all in all, absolutely recommended.

Lots of knick-knacks in the entrance area and otherwise very rustically furnished. The meat in general could have been softer and the plates could have been a little larger, as the food was already piled up and wasn't particularly visually appealing. Everything tasted ok. The service, however, was very friendly and quick. When the house is full, the smell of the kitchen gets into your clothes, which isn't particularly pleasant. Conclusion, food ok, otherwise very rustic. Sometimes less is more.

Last week I was invited to dinner at the Trachtenheim Memmingen. I had never been there before, but when I walked through the front door I was immediately transported back to my earlier years. It was an inn that is hard to find today. A cozy and lovingly decorated dining room with a very nice boss welcomed us. In addition to the dining room, there is an adjoining room, a small hall with a stage and a rustic beer garden. There was a wide selection of German cuisine on the menu. I ordered a breaded schnitzel and even had two large pieces and a small mountain of fries plus a mixed salad on my plate. A huge portion for 16 euros. An excellent price/performance ratio. My husband had a wonderful, medium fried onion roast with cheese spaetzle. Just really good. So if you want to treat yourself to a fine, dark beer with superbly prepared food, this is the right place for you.

I was there for the first time yesterday, the food was very good, very friendly service and a good, rustic atmosphere. Definitely going back in April.

We stopped here briefly while passing through and didn't really have high expectations. But the food here was really fantastic. The service was extremely nice, understanding (because I was a vegetarian) and accommodating. The food was delivered very quickly and tasted extremely good. The prices are also fair, which is why we can fully recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately it had rained shortly before, so we couldn't use the beautiful garden area.

First of all, I'm happy to pay the appropriate price for good quality and good service, so I'm not a "penny pincher". Parking spot: Free parking spaces are available both at the restaurant and in the hikers' car park opposite. Ambiance: Rustic but cozy. What was absolutely not okay during our visit - hence only 1 star - was the smell. The floor in the room next door must have been newly installed/painted and so the entire restaurant smelled strongly of paint/solvents, which initially gave me a scratchy throat. If we hadn't been invited here by friends, I would have left because it really didn't smell healthy. Service: The service staff was absolutely OK, nothing particularly positive but nothing negative either. What I think is no longer possible today is to offer pure cash payment. These days there are no fixed costs through various providers and only between 1 and 1.5% transaction fee. Eat: The food was good midrange. Just the following comments: The stuffed schnitzel (that's what they call Cordon Bleu here) is not as thick as you would normally expect, but rather thin like a normal schnitzel, but tastes good. The onion roast was not asked about the cooking point, and when I ordered a change from Kässpatzen to normal sparrows (which are actually cheaper because less goods are used/work) an additional €2 was charged - I didn't get any information about this either in the menu or in advance from the service . In addition, the onion roast roast came on a cake plate. I found the €21.90 (including reordering) “borderline”. A cream sauce was bitter because you probably wanted to "pimp" it with brandy etc. after making it, which then led to this bitterness without boiling it down. Conclusion: The restaurant is OK, but the lack of card payment and the sometimes borderline price-performance ratio will probably mean that this will be our only visit. For comparison, a day later we were in Hopfen am See near Füssen (expensive tourist hotspot), restaurant in a top waterfront location with a terrace 10m from the lake, top onion roast also 19.90€ basic price - with option for card payment ;-)

Very friendly landlady who welcomed us very nicely. There were 5 of us as a family. Of course everyone ordered something different :-) The food for our toddler came very quickly, which was just great. The rest all came at the same time. It was super tasty, my venison goulash was perfect. The onion roast was perfect (rare), the Kässpatzen, schnitzel, salad... we were completely satisfied and will definitely come back. Quality-taste-price ratio very good!

Were there for a small family celebration on Sunday. We noticed the beautiful decoration in the entrance area. You immediately feel welcome. Our table was beautifully decorated, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Also unusual, e.g. B. Asian soup, it was served in a glass with shrimp skewers. With attention to detail. All dishes are recommended. For me it was Kässpatzen, I'm just a Swabian girl.😉. It's annoying that we only found this great location now. But we will come back. Thanks

Einfache gut bürgerliche Küche mit fairem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und freundlich, zackigem Service. Schnitzel geht immer! Praktische Nebenräume z.T. mit Bühne für allerlei Aktivitäten, von der Jahreshauptversammlung des Kaninchenzüchter Vereins bis zur Privatparty.

Am Wochenende mit Besuch spontan zum Essen dort gewesen, und alle waren absolut begeistert. Freundlicher Service und wirklich extrem leckeres Essen und preislich absolut fair. Alle bestellten Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und auch der Besuch war begeistert. Gemütliche Atmosphäre im Restaurant. Definitiv empfehlenswert.

Super. Es gab Orginal Coca-Cola und Co, Albi-Saft und Heinz-Mayonnaise. Den Zwiebelrostbraten habe ich Medium bestellt und bin super zufrieden mit dem Gargrad. Kaiserschmarrn wurde frisch aufgeschlagen. Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk, frisch geklopfte Schnitzel und Co. Essen kam sehr zügig. Die Kellnerin war mega freundlich und sehr aufmerksam, hat sofort gemerkt, wenn etwas gefehlt hat. Rund um ein gelungener Abend👍

Auf der Suche nach einem Kaiserschmarrn, haben wir das Trachtenheim entdeckt. Leider war kein Kaiserschmarrn auf der Karte. Wir würden jedoch von der Küche überrascht und haben einen sehr leckeren Kaiserschmarrn erhalten. 5 Sterne!!! Bedienung außerordentlich aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die anderen Speisen sahen auch sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet aus.

Wahnsinn! Wir waren seit einigen Jahren kürzlich mal wieder spontan Abends im Trachtenheim. Was soll ich sagen, wir waren nach ein paar Wochen direkt nochmal... Wer hier ein Nobelrestaurant erwartet, ist natürlich fehl am Platz. Wir sprechen von einer urigen Gaststätte, wie man es halt von früher so kennt - eben ein klassisches Trachtenheim. Trotzdem, es lohnt sich! Der Charm, der tolle Biergarten und die super nette Wirtin alleine lohnen sich schon! Und natürlich nicht zu vergessen eine wirkliche sehr gut, preiswerte und auch kreative Küche. Die hausgemachten Limonaden sind wirklich grandios und auch die Käsespätzle waren super! Großes Lob. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Note 1! Klare Empfehlung - auch für einen spontanen Abstecher unter der Woche!

Wir haben gestern Abend wieder den hervorragenden Abholservice während der aktuellen Corona Pandemie genutzt. Die Familie Renger zeichnet sich durch Spitzenqualität ausgewählter Gerichte sowie pünktlicher Bereitstellung ohne Wartezeiten aus. Damit wird das Essen zu Hause zu einem abwechslungsreichen Gaumenschmaus! Chapeau und ❤️lichen Dank!

Ich wohne in der Römersiedlung daher bin ich öfter mal zum Essen im Trachtenheim. Das Essen ist klasse, wir wurden nie enttäuscht. Für Zuhauseesser besteht die Möglichkeit mittels selbstmitgebrachten Tupperwaren das Essen mit zu nehmen. ich kann das gemütliche Restaurant nur allen empfehlen! Guten Appetit!

Das Lokal lohnt auf jeden Fall für ein leckeres Bier (König Ludwig) und ein feines Essen aus der übersichtlichen Karte. Wir hatten viel Verschiedenes, von Suppe über Salat bis zum Toast und Hirsch sowie gefülltes Schnitzel. Sehr bekömmlich und qualitativ hochwertig. Auch der Service war flott und aufmerksam. Weiter so!

Mittagessen für mehr als 70 Personen! Familie Renger und das Team vom Trachtenheim haben es verstanden, den vielen Gästen - in einer durch nachfolgende Besichtigungstermine begrenzten Zeit - die Getränke und das vorbestellte Essen reibungslos zu servieren. Vielfach gelobt wurde die Qualität der Speisen und die unkomplizierte Art der Abwicklung. Da wenige Gasthäuser in Memmingen über räumliche Möglichkeiten dieser Art verfügen, ist die Kochkunst und der gemütliche Saal des Trachtenheims für solche Personalausflüge unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Bin jetzt zum 3. mal da gewesen. Wurde mal wieder nicht enttäuscht. Bedienung wieder sehr freundlich und ich musste nicht lange warten. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich bayerisch. Preis Leistung Top.

Unsere Erfahrungen sind: leckere mit Liebe hergerichtete Speisen :) ganz sicher für jeden etwas dabei, günstig und reichlich :) Man kann auch mal die Familie komplett einladen :) ohne einen Kleinkredit aufzunehmen, immer frisch hergerichtet (Kenner hören die Aktionen in der Küche) sehr nette Bedienung mit Überblick :) es ist kein vier Sterne Hotel, es ist ein gemütliches Trachtenheim. Zu meiner Familie gehören auch Bürger, die nicht in Deutschland geboren sind, wir wurden immer sehr gut und höflich bedient. Von uns eine dicke Empfehlung für die Wirtsleute im Trachtenheim.

Sehr gute bürgerliche Küche, Preiß-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Biergarten schön gestaltet besonderer Blickfang die Blutblume.

Zuenftiges bayrisches Restaurant. Zuenftige Atmosphaere und oft wird auch der Abend mit Volksmusik und tanz organisiert. Sehr sauber und das Essen und der Bierausschank sehr zuempfehlen.

Gutbürgerlich und toller Service bei ausgezeichnetem Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis. Immer ein Besuch wert. Übrigens auch im Sommer, da kleine Terasse hinter dem Haus.
