⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Simply fantastic, great food, fantastic service, and genuine warmth! The Toyoki in Herne is one of the best Asian restaurants I know. The food is always fresh, incredibly delicious, and prepared with love. You can simply taste that quality and taste are paramount here. I'm particularly impressed by the service; personal requests are truly catered to! On my first visit, I asked if my dish could be prepared with very little oil, and this was immediately and kindly accommodated. On my next visit, the manager actually remembered my request and had my meal prepared exactly the same way again; something you rarely experience these days! This attentiveness and warmth make the Toyoki a true favorite restaurant for me. Everything is just right here: excellent food, friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, and genuine interest in the guests. I definitely recommend it; anyone who has been here once will definitely come back!

Very good buffet. Similar to Yumini, but cheaper and with faster delivery. Finally, you don't have to travel to Bochum or Dortmund anymore.

I ordered delivery. The food was good, but three items were missing (beer, squid skewer, dessert). The restaurant manager apologized, saying he was stressed due to a family health emergency and couldn't deliver more that evening. I understand if that's true. But I won't let myself be fooled by the prices. Until I receive the missing items the next day, I'll leave my review as it is. Addendum: I went there again and had lunch. The manager apologized again sincerely. I got the missing items. Thank you for the good service! The food is very tasty. Tip for everyone: A visit to the all-you-can-eat buffet (ordering via tablet) is much more worthwhile!

We suddenly had a craving for sushi and were not disappointed. Friendly staff, prompt service, and top-notch sushi. Perfect rice with buttery-soft fish. We live about an hour's drive away and happened upon "Toyoki" by chance, but we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

We ate there as a family. One wanted the buffet, two ordered from the menu. The a la carte items arrived after more than 30 minutes, despite repeated reminders, while the buffet food arrived quicker. The a la carte food was not fully served for 90 minutes. It took half an hour for a Coke. The restaurant was NOT fully booked, NOT packed. Some items from the tablet order didn't arrive at all after 2 hours. They were charged extra, but they were still on the bill!!! The waiter's German was so poor that he didn't delete the items, but added them!! So we paid twice for a dish that didn't arrive. Never again, and a clear warning!

If it were within my power to give this greasy factory a 0-star rating, I would consider it without batting an eyelid. Quite apart from the horrifying ambiance, which reminds me more of a one-euro shop on the corner of a train station, not least because of the tinnitus-inducing background noise, than of the peaceful and tranquil Far East, I would like to commend the cuisine, which has provided me with the best inspiration for my latest horror novel. Just looking at these executioner's meals makes you feel the thick, viscous mush creeping down your throat. Torture in the form of stomach pain and constipation is inevitable. When I wanted to rid myself of this greasy devil's excrement to face my miserable fate, I first had to perform a parkour routine like in the cheaply produced TV show "Ninja Warriors." It was anything but barrier-free. However, unlike the subjective, freedom isn't a priority when, on my painful journey to my final resting place, I have to consider the risk of performing flamenco with a waiter if I want to avoid falling onto the unsanitary floor! You're forced to order on a tablet that dates back to the Stone Age, and some orders didn't arrive even after repeated requests. The same goes for the prawn chips, which are ruthlessly stacked in dark pits next to the toilet, which smelled even more pungently of rotten fish than my baked "chicken," which was most likely purchased at clearance prices from the fish truck at the weekly market. The restrooms, which I finally reached, reminded me of the Arctic. The temperatures were contagious. I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up the next morning with a flu-like infection. The cleanliness is frightening; these tiles last saw a mop in the wild 60s, and the mold in the grout has visually adapted to the hairstyles of the era—a matching look, I like it. The restroom doors slam in your face, as does the tax return you have to file every year. However, escaping this nightmare is impossible because a ladder blocks the emergency exit, which is inaccessible to anyone with disabilities anyway. I don't recommend this place.

Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. I placed a large sushi order, but only received about half of it. This simply shouldn't happen at a restaurant in this price range. When I reported the error by phone, I was told that the redelivery would take 90 minutes – completely unreasonable for meals that had already begun. No concessions, no apologies, no attempt to resolve the situation in a customer-friendly manner. Overall, the entire handling of the problem seemed unprofessional and disinterested. For me, this was definitely the last time I'll order from there. For me, service and reliability are just as important to dining as good food, and neither was met here.

We've eaten here several times and are always impressed. The Japanese food is delicious – they offer both à la carte dishes and an all-you-can-eat menu via a tablet. The portions are smaller, which I love because you can try a variety of dishes: sushi, fish, meat, vegetarian dishes, and even dessert. You can order up to 10 rounds of 5 dishes per person – we usually only manage 3 or 4 rounds, after which you're really full! The food is served quickly, the staff is friendly, and the value for money is absolutely right. We'll definitely be back!

I took takeout for the first time. The welcome was super friendly, and I even got a scoop of ice cream for my 10-minute wait. Where can you find something like that these days? Plus, the food was truly delicious, and the value for money is simply unbeatable.

Unfortunately the selection has decreased compared to a year ago and even when you ordered something it wasn't there or you ordered a baked banana and got an apple without you knowing. It doesn't work because I'm an allergy sufferer.

I used to eat there often and the sushi was very good. We ate there again and I think the ownership has changed. New staff and the food is unfortunately no longer as tasty. Everything is extremely seasoned and a lot of it is simply made with soy. Unfortunately the presentation there wasn't that nice. Table not clean, tab for ordering not clean. Staff nice and attentive. I wouldn't eat there again.

I really enjoy eating at Toyoki. It's cozy, the food comes quickly, and it's simply delicious. The value for money is also completely acceptable. The staff are all super friendly. Ordering via Lieferando also works great. They also offer takeaway, and it works really well. I like the place :)

The food is delicious, especially the small snacks with TopGoodToGo are worth it. The staff are always friendly, and they often offer free soy sauce. Unfortunately, the atmosphere isn't very inviting and doesn't stand out from other restaurants, which is a bit of a shame. For "real" sushi, I'd prefer other restaurants, but for quick, small sushi snacks, it's definitely recommended.

We've been regular guests here for 18 months now. Today at lunchtime, we ate there again. Unfortunately, my son and I have a MSG allergy, which has never been a problem before. Today, 30 minutes after eating, we both experienced extreme physical discomfort (nausea, headaches, dizziness, unnatural thirst). None of the dishes were labeled as containing MSG. Great, our day is ruined :(

Too good to go sushi, unfortunately only had meat in the sushi. Even though we are obviously Muslims, we weren't even asked if we eat this meat. When we took a closer look at it, we noticed that it was pork. Great, never again!

If you like sushi then this is the perfect restaurant to eat sushi! The selection is huge and I can only recommend the All You Can Eat to everyone, as the extensive selection will keep you full and do justice to your money! The restaurant is always clean and the toilets are always cleaned. The staff is also incredibly nice and always brings out both the drinks and the food very quickly. They will also be happy to help you with any questions or help you fill your drinks. A visit there is definitely recommended! <3

Unfortunately the food turned out to be very bad. The duck was an indefinable pile out of the deep fryer. I ordered them 3 times in the hope of getting duck at some point. The other hot dishes have also deteriorated. The sushi was okay, but nothing more. We used to come here often, but last time we noticed that the food wasn't good anymore. It's a shame that the old owner is no longer there, the food was always good. We won't be coming back again

Unfortunately the owner lies by saying that food is Halal!!! That doesn't work at all. One of the employees told us.

At first we were very excited and positive because of the rating and the low prices. But unfortunately things took a quick turn. It started with us having to write down our order ourselves. A short time later the first and last things were brought. However, half was still missing. Since everyone only has two arms, we thought the rest would come. But after we had finished eating and still nothing came, we asked politely. It was “forgotten”. The rest arrived after an unreasonable amount of time. Unfortunately the taste is very similar to the price. Last but not least, payment by card was not possible due to a system error. So we should then pay via Paypal. End of song, we can't recommend it.

The good reviews attracted us to Toyoki. The restaurant is not recommended. The salmon was tough, the avocado was hard, the kimchi wasn't pickled, half the order was forgotten, and the drinks we requested weren't available on the menu. Feel free to see for yourself.

The sushi was unfortunately disappointing, but there was an unexpected show in the shop: customs control and arrest of several illegal workers, would go there again.

The food is great. The only deduction I have to make is with the lamb chops because they were simply overcooked every time. Otherwise everything tastes fresh and delicious. I'll definitely go there more often.

None of the workers could speak English, so communication did not go well. Especially since they didn't even come to us, we always had to wave the waiter down to at least get soy sauce for the sushi. To this day, we have not received the ice cream we asked for, but at least they wanted to make us pay.

Famous concept of sushi shops. Versatile selection for dinner 👍🏻. Quality of the food was excellent. The beef was particularly tender; Mmm delicious… Personally, some of the dishes were a bit over-spiced/over-salted for me, but my wife thought it was just right. Went there again on a Wednesday evening without making a reservation. The restaurant was busy, but we got a table quickly and were served promptly. The selection is large and vegetarians will also get their money's worth here, as the selection here is also unusually diverse. Overall, a nice evening. See you soon

!!!!! CAUTION !!!!! Three of us have just ordered the lunch menu for €15.90 each and it was explained to us in not really good German what was included. Drinks have to be paid for separately, but are very expensive. So we would have paid 3x €15.90 (€47.70) plus drinks (max. €25). A bill then came for €105. They then tried to explain to us that we supposedly had NOT ordered the lunch menu, which we definitely had. Attempts were made to talk their way out of it, and an invoice was not handed over. If they had been honest, the bill should have been corrected, but it wasn't. Therefore only 1 star, although the food was actually very tasty and the employees (except for the waitress with the red hair) were very nice, but unfortunately not accommodating. Conclusion: Never again, be careful when ordering so you don't get ripped off!!!

We drove there spontaneously and were immediately warmly welcomed in the restaurant. The service was super accommodating from the start. We went there for the first time yesterday for the all-you-can-eat. The order is placed via a tablet and the food is brought to the table. Here you can order 10 rounds of 5 dishes per person. One thing in advance: We managed 3 laps before we were fed up. It should also go without saying that you don't go on an ordering spree here with half left over, the food is simply too tasty. The employees were all very nice and the ordering process was explained to us very well, always with a funny saying, which our daughter was also happy about. It's definitely not the last time we've been there and we're already looking forward to our next visit. We parked in the “Q-Park Am Kino” car park if you find it on the other side on Kirchhofstr. leaves, it's a 1-2 minute walk to the restaurant.

We went to the restaurant for the first time today (my husband, my daughter and I). So far we have only ever used the delivery service. We received a very friendly welcome and were told how to order using the tablet, as we had opted for the all you can eat offer. Everything worked perfectly, the food was great and all the employees were very nice and attentive. You can order 5 dishes every 10 minutes, you could do this 10 times in total, but we were so full after the third round that we had to stop. We will definitely do this again!

This evening I had dinner there with my family for the first and last time. The young man who initially introduced himself as the manager of the store is, in my opinion, absolutely out of place!!! We decided on the open evening buffet. *ALL YOU CAN EAT* After the gentleman explained the concept to us, we started ordering via tablet. You can click on 15 things on the tray every 10 minutes and they will be brought to the table. According to the tablet, you have a maximum of 15 rounds available and a maximum of 2.5 or 3 hours of time. When we finished eating in 10 rounds, we ordered dessert by tray. There was still some food left on the table. The manager said; that we would have the opportunity to take the food home with us for half the price. But I refused. After the 1st ROUND of dessert (everything was eaten) I wanted to order another round of dessert. But unfortunately the "Order" button has been blocked. (All other buttons worked) Although this would only have been the 12th of a maximum of 15 rounds. According to the tablet I would have had over 60 minutes. When I told the gentleman that the "order" button wasn't working, he asked me in a not nice TONE what else I would like to order. And he then told me that he HAD TO CALCUATE me for the uneaten things on the table. After I said I didn't see it, he yelled in a non-German language. He also said he knew what to do with me... After that, of course, I lost my appetite for dessert. We just paid the bill and left. I have NEVER experienced anything like this! A pity. Never again TOYOKI

Very good quick service, it was our first time there and we will definitely come back. Service was super nice and the food was simply delicious. All you can eat food was warm and even though we were there on a Saturday evening, everything arrived at the table within a few minutes and was hot. We can only recommend it! Realistic asking prices and there is a large parking lot nearby, which is also listed on their website.

Toyoki Sushi & Grill in Herne completely blew me away! From the first moments I entered the restaurant I felt the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The sushi is simply fantastic – every piece is a little taste explosion. The salmon roe and teriyaki sushi as well as the Takami roll in particular are a must for every sushi fan. You can immediately taste the freshness and high quality of the ingredients. The portion sizes are just right, so you feel completely satisfied after eating. The service is also outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the innovative ordering option via tablet makes the whole thing even more pleasant. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered and the entire experience. Anyone who lives in Herne or is visiting the city should definitely not miss Toyoki Sushi & Grill. Every meal here becomes a special experience that you won't quickly forget. Absolutely recommended and a real highlight for all lovers of Japanese cuisine!
