We had a completely perfect Sunday at Ouzos! As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed and immediately feel welcome. The service was first class - friendly, attentive and always with a smile. The food was simply fantastic: freshly prepared, tasted excellent and beautifully presented. Every course was a pleasure! Particularly noteworthy are the authentic Greek specialties, which are prepared with great attention to detail. Mezes are recommended. The atmosphere is also very cozy and invites you to linger. Everything is just right here – quality, atmosphere and hospitality at the highest level. We will definitely be back and can fully recommend Ouzos

Large Greek restaurant in Herne with good food and very friendly service.

The food is very tasty. We were lucky and didn't sit downstairs in a large room. It's very loud there. Because there is nothing that absorbs the sound. A reservation is highly recommended as it is always very full/fully booked.

The food is super tasty... it was very well attended. Reservation essential. Poor parking...too few parking spaces.... Because of the many guests, the acoustics were very loud... but otherwise very, very tasty.. Value for money 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The food is really good. Nothing more, nothing less. The service can be a bit hectic at times and is already clearing the seats at the table, even though others at the table are still eating. The atmosphere depends heavily on how reorganized the team is at the time. We had reserved a table for 6 people for a Saturday evening. When we arrived we were told we would like you to wait a moment, the table would be free soon. Until then we should have an ouzo on the house. "Short" turned into over 30 minutes, which we had to wait at the front entrance in the service's flight path. With jackets on their arms. And with people who didn't want to drink alcohol because they were pregnant or drivers. Several people had to wait with us. When our mood obviously got worse after half an hour, the staff table at the front of the entrance was quickly emptied and assigned to us. As we sat there, more and more people arrived for the next reservations and had to wait just as long. In the meantime there were more than 15 people who had to stand in front of the counter and some of them with their butts behind our seats because the organization of the reservations was apparently a disaster. Needless to say, the noise level was incredibly annoying and you felt a bit disturbed by the people waiting and the service that had to rush through... Even a nice joke or two, ouzo and a dessert for a "fake" birthday with a serenade didn't make it any more. Sorry, but the chance of us coming back is rather slim.

Definitely recommended. We had dinner there twice and once we organized a birthday party for 40 people there. It was to our complete satisfaction every time ❤️. The food and service were very good and the price-performance ratio was also very good. Will definitely go there more often.

A year ago we had a great evening at Ouzo's Ouzeria & Event Gastronomy! We reserved a bowling alley with a few friends and it was just great. The food was really delicious – every bite blew us away! The friendly and attentive staff was particularly cool. They constantly came by and asked if we needed anything else. This ensured that we didn't lack anything. The service really made our evening perfect. I can only recommend Ouzo's, whether for a relaxed evening with friends or a special celebration. We'll definitely be back!

Several times a year we enjoy the great ambience, the delicious food, the courteous service and the ouzo. We have never been disappointed and will definitely be back soon. The tzatziki is our absolute favorite and should never be missed as a starter. Whether grilled or fish, the food comes to the table hot. At least that's how it was with us. For my birthday there is singing and tiramisu, which my husband is always particularly happy about. Thanks to the entire team. Keep it up.....

I have eaten here several times with my family and can say that it has now become our go-to restaurant for family celebrations. The food is always delicious, the location is cozy, the service staff is very friendly. On some evenings, especially on weekends, it is very crowded, so there can be a bit of a wait, but that has been completely fine for us so far.

First the positive. The food was super tasty. My sister didn't like the pan gyros, but everyone else was very enthusiastic about the food. Now for the negative. Bowling alley: we booked the bowling alley for one hour from 4 p.m. The store didn't open until 4 p.m. It took a few minutes until we got to the bowling alley. Then the train wasn't switched on. A few more minutes later an employee came with a key. We had to read up on how to set the track ourselves. There was a minute display on the track. Already about 10 minutes before 5 p.m. a few ladies were queuing very impatiently. At 5 p.m. sharp we were asked to leave the train. We only played 53 minutes. I find that somehow uncool. I booked and paid for one hour. Apart from that, the bowling alley was cheap at €10.50 for an hour, but the area between the lanes was used as a storage room. Not a nice atmosphere. There was no music there either. Upon request, an employee gave us a Marshall box. Restaurant: The service seemed bad-tempered and not very friendly, except for one lady later during the payment process. A portion of fries was missing. We had to let them know three times. Instead of getting tzatziki on the fries as requested, we got a portion of tzatziki. It's not that crazy, but it's actually not that difficult to understand what we wanted. When we were clearing up, the employee stood behind us, chatting with a colleague and blindly stretched her hand between us, waiting for us to give her the dishes. What is that 😂 totally outrageous in my eyes. Ambience: The restaurant is visually quite nice. The bowling alley area is ugly and looks like a junk room. Things didn't look good in the toilets either. Could recommend a renovation. But the worst thing was the noise. It was super loud, like you were at a train station. Conclusion: good food, but everything else was pretty bad. I won't visit you a second time.

The best Greek restaurant I've ever been to in Germany, I absolutely loved it! The food tastes as authentic as in Greece, the atmosphere is very cozy and the waitresses are very friendly. Vegetarians also get their money's worth thanks to the large selection. A little tip: It's better to make a reservation in advance as it is very busy there. Unfortunately, last night at 8:30 p.m., despite having a reservation, I stood in a queue for over 30 minutes and didn't get a table. Really extremely annoying. We had to drive home with the guests. Otherwise always our favorite restaurant.

We were there with a group of 12 people, the first chaos when ordering drinks was one person had to wait an hour. waiting for his coke. After 1 hour We were finally able to order food, which finally came after another 1.5 hours of waiting. Gyros were not crispy and almost cold. Service was generally a disaster. Ordered drinks several times but never received anything. Definitely won't be coming back!!

We've eaten at the restaurant several times before, but what happened today was unbeatable in terms of arrogance. We ordered drinks, then nothing happened for 3/4. After we asked if we could order food, we were told someone would be there shortly. After what felt like 30 minutes, the very arrogant manager of the restaurant came. He took the order. He must have forgotten the friendliness at home. 45 minutes later and unfortunately there was no sign of the food, we spoke to the boss again. Of course again very arrogant and unfriendly. The order was taken again because it was forgotten. An apology would have been great, but unfortunately it never came. The food suddenly came very quickly. We know it can always happen, but then you should also apologize. Seldom seen something so unfriendly and arrogant. Next time we will prefer to eat at another restaurant where you are still valued as a guest.

We made reservations for 6 p.m. The first drinks arrived quickly. The desired starter arrived at around 7 p.m. The salad for the main course came 30 minutes earlier than the main course. This came at 8:15 p.m. The service was terrible. Apparently we were transparent and they couldn't or wouldn't serve us. All guests who arrived after us got their main course before us, ate it, paid and left. There is a table outside (solid wood) where special guests are given preferential treatment. I could write a lot more about it, but the evening was a disaster despite the positive reviews online. We're not coming anymore!

You are in Herne with work colleagues and want to go out for dinner in the evening. Which restaurant should you choose? A Greek, of course! And with good reviews. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. Positive: the food, at least what wasn't forgotten, tasted good. Starters were forgotten except for one. Drink orders were taken half-heartedly and people at the table were often overlooked. Ok, there were four of us (4!!), so you can lose track. At least there was ouzo as a welcome, as usual with Greeks. Otherwise a grade 5 due to the absolutely miserable service. Are we coming back? No!

The last time I visited my nephew was to eat there. This time I had two starters. Octupus is charged according to the daily price and is something special for me and the scampi. I love dipping the bread in the pan once a month. I eat baby calamari best I like them fried.. I don't like them fried elsewhere. My nephew had pan gyros and grape leaves. Everything was very good, so the food and the service.. there's nothing to complain about

Our favorite restaurant for years. We appreciate the friendly and friendly atmosphere. The food is always fresh and delicious. We especially love the starters. In summer we like to sit outside and feel a bit like we're on vacation. And if something doesn't work out, the response is always friendly and professional. Yes, sometimes it takes a little longer on weekends if it's full (food is freshly prepared!), but that doesn't bother us - we're in the restaurant to relax and enjoy ourselves and not with a time clock. And even on days like this, the food is consistently good quality and the service is friendly.
