Unlike other restaurants nearby, we must have just caught them on a bad night, which is a real shame since we didn't spend much (I'm speaking from professional experience). The waiters, who served our food two minutes later, held empty glasses by the rim and dipped their hand into the glass, which is unacceptable. We arrived relatively late, but according to the staff, it was still okay. Our food order was taken after two minutes, but we had to get up and order drinks. Even though we still had our food on the table, they took our payment and asked us to leave shortly after, even though six other tables were still occupied. For that hour, €95 was definitely not worth it. The food was okay, but tasted no better than other Greek restaurants nearby (quite the opposite, in fact). Ultimately, I have to say I would have appreciated being told to leave at the beginning, rather than being shown the door like that. All in all, in the future, we'll probably spontaneously choose the other option where we feel welcome. We'll probably just spontaneously go to the other restaurant in the future. Thank you anyway, it's not something to take for granted.

One of the best meals I had in Munich. Staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Loved the shots they gave us at the end of the meal Would recommend the halloumi and fried calamari as appetizers! Tried the tomato soup as well but it was too sour/tomatoey for our liking. The mains were the highlight of the meal, the chicken was extremely juicy and tender, and the pork was so flavourful and had the amazing charred crust to it. Portions were so huge and we barely could walk out of the restaurant after! Would definitely visit again!

Great food! Big portions! But please make a reservation before coming! If not, expect waiting time 30-45mins… Mr. Stefan is approachable and funny!

Subject: Feedback on Food Quality Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to make some comments regarding the recent quality of the food. Unfortunately, the dishes no longer have the taste and quality we have come to expect. This is unacceptable: The eggplant was raw, as was the zucchini, and the Metaxa sauce was so watery that it simply ran out. Furthermore, we ordered cold cuts for two, which were also inadequately prepared. The only acceptable component was the cheese on top, which made the consistency slightly thicker. I have been a customer for a long time and have always greatly appreciated the excellent cuisine at Tou Bakali. In the past, there have been minor incidents, which I considered isolated cases. Unfortunately, there has been a continuous decline in quality recently. The service staff is friendly and courteous, but this does not compensate for the tense atmosphere created by supervisors shouting at employees. All of this leads to an unpleasant experience for guests. I'm sorry to say you've lost us as customers. We don't know if we'll return, as the changes are obvious and the kitchen, which used to be sensational, is gradually losing its quality. Thank you, and I hope this feedback is helpful.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, we were initially given the wrong side dishes, but these were promptly replaced. We had to ask about the bill several times. Otherwise, everything was fine, and I would come back.

Lime is a very popular Greek restaurant in the Munich area. If you are ever in the area, you are welcome.

Our go-to Greek restaurant in Laim. Super friendly service, delicious food (the ouzo therapy is my favorite), and a cozy atmosphere. The only downside is the portions are perhaps a little too large 🙃.

Having spent several holidays in Greece, I've had countless opportunities to compare authentic Greek cuisine and can only say: this taverna is phenomenal in terms of quality, taste, portion sizes, and variety of food, and the service is highly dedicated and incredibly friendly! Considering its location in Munich, the prices are simply excellent – ​​and even lower than in our small town (where there are three Greek restaurants, none of which can even come close to Tou Bakali!). We've been delighted for years by this value for money and the cheerful, lively, and truly Greek atmosphere!

Actually it is my first time writing a restaurant review. Even though I arrived a bit early before the opening hour, they still greeted me warmly! The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The drink they gave us as a service was really good!!! It made me want to visit Greece just to have it again😅😅 The servers were also very kind 🙂

Food, staff, atmosphere – everything was perfect! We were seated immediately, even without a reservation, and received very friendly service. The portions are generous and the quality of the food is outstanding. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The restaurant was quite busy, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the quiet background music was just right for conversation. Our children and we felt very comfortable!

The food was delicious, as usual, but a wine spritzer for €9 falls into the category of outrageous for me. Despite having a reservation, we were assigned a table where it was hard to know where to sit. I don't want that again. The noise made it almost impossible to have a normal conversation; shouting was the order of the day. It's a shame, I remembered the place differently.

For lunch, we had dishes from the inexpensive lunch menu. It was extensive, with some dishes costing between €11 and €14. Prices were fair. The restaurant was colorful but very cozy. All the servers were very prompt and friendly. It's definitely nice for an evening meal, too.

I haven't been to a Greek restaurant in at least 20 years, and this one was so worth it! The olives and pepperoni for starters were already generous and delicious! The main courses were amazing! The gyro meat baked in Metaxa sauce... absolutely recommended! The service was super friendly, and as soon as you sit down, you're offered your first shot! Keep it up!

This was the most delicious place I've ever eaten during my trip to Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria. The starter, melinzanes, was grilled eggplant wrapped in cheese. The Parmesan cheese and eggplant blended together to create a light and flavorful meal without being too rich. The bifeki classico was a wide, hamburger-style pork cutlet. The cheese was perfectly smothered in a rich, roasted flavor, preventing it from feeling greasy. The potato wedges were crispy, and the cucumber-flavored dressing was a real treat. It's a great way to cut down on the greasiness and dip the potato wedges in it. The baby calamari was tender and had the perfect roasted flavor and chewy texture. It's delicious served with grilled vegetables. The baklava dessert was really sweet. Just sweet. The cinnamon, sugar, and walnuts were crêpe-like. The walnuts were crunchy and the sugar was really chewy. The ice cream was so soft and chewy that it made you want to leave tourist gelato behind. It was so sweet I couldn't eat much. Koreans, you really have to try it. First of all, it's not salty. Other restaurants are too salty, but Greek food doesn't seem to be salty. It's just right for my taste. 2 adults and 2 children (elementary and middle school) were full. Highly recommended.

Although we made it clear that we didn't want to drink alcohol, the waiter persistently tried to force ouzo on us. His constant appearances at the table, asking if we wanted anything else or if everything was okay, was intrusive and spoiled the evening. The restaurant also didn't impress us from a culinary perspective. My mixed grill platter was uninspiringly prepared. The meat was simply stacked on top of each other, so the flavors blended together and everything tasted the same. My girlfriend's squid was dry and tough. Both dishes were very disappointing. To top it all off, the waiter even asked us for a five-star review at the end. Anyone who begs for reviews like that hasn't understood the point of honest feedback. An unfortunately disappointing evening; we can't recommend the restaurant. It's a shame, because we were very impressed by the ambiance.

Fantastic service, atmosphere, and of course food. The Tatsiki was so good! We had the lamb and the gyro metaxa dishes and they were fantastic. The Baklava did not disappoint! Will come again!

I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and I'm absolutely thrilled. Upon arrival, I received a very friendly greeting and was immediately made to feel welcome. The menu is varied, and it was difficult to choose because everything sounded so delicious. My dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The portion was just right, too. I particularly liked how attentive and warm the service was. I'm looking forward to returning soon and trying other dishes. Highly recommended!

My husband and I came across this restaurant while on vacation in Munich. We popped in late on a week night and we are so happy we did. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was wonderful. We enjoyed it so much that we visited again later in the week. On our second visit, the restaurant was busier but the staff and food were still wonderful. Definitely recommend!!

Had the vegetarian potato pan. The sauce was a kind of thick cream sauce with feta on top, but it had no seasoning. It just tasted creamy and greasy. The vegetables were rather bland. The potatoes weren't good; only a couple of eggplants were okay. There were several pieces of gyro in it, even though it was labeled vegetarian. It seemed a bit like leftovers from various dishes. The portion was huge. But it didn't help; I had to throw it all away. The salad tasted watery. Unfortunately, I didn't eat it either. There were also potato wedges in there. They were okay, and the bread was okay too. Delivery was very quick.

Delicious food and good service. The downside is that smoking is allowed at the tables and that the water you buy comes in glass bottles with water from Greece. It is not particularly climate-friendly to transport water in glass bottles from Greece to Munich.
