In Mamas Küche in München

Wir waren über einen Groupon-Gutschein für ein 3-Gänge-Menü hier und sind absolut begeistert! Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert war alles unglaublich lecker, frisch zubereitet und authentisch. Das gesamte Team war sehr aufmerksam und herzlich, sodass wir uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt haben. Als krönenden Abschluss gab es sogar noch einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Wir waren mit allem rundum zufrieden und kommen definitiv sehr gerne wieder! Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die in München richtig gut griechisch essen möchten.

Fantastisches Essen und Service, genau wie in Griechenland! Das Souvlaki war perfekt gewürzt, die Pommes knusprig und ebenfalls gut gewürzt; das Tzatziki war sehr aromatisch und passte hervorragend zum Knoblauch-Pita. Die Moussaka war ein absoluter Traum. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Tolles Essen. Wir waren schon mehrfach dort und probieren immer mal wieder was neues von der Speisekarte aus. Bislang hat uns alles überzeugt. Qualitativ und geschmacklich übertrifft dieser Grieche einen Großteil anderer Restaurants. Auch das Personal ist super. Man fühlt sich Willkommen und es ist alles sehr familiär.

Super freundlicher Service - sehr aufmerksam und professionell. Essen war auch top. Vorspeisenplatte für 2 Personen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Weisser Hauswein ist auch sehr fein.

Fantastisches Essen in sehr schöner Atmosphäre und sehr netter Bedienung. Hatten als Vorspeise Hummus mit Knoblauchpita und dann das Gyros und Metaxa Gyros und es war zum dahinschmelzen. Nicht ganz einfach zu finden, wenn man nicht weiß, wohin man will. Das Restaurant befindet sich im Hinterhof bei einer Sportstätte. Von dieser bekommt man aber absolut nichts mit. Absolute Empfehlung für einen schönen Abend !

Juwel hinter dem Vorhang Wenn man das Gebäude und die Turnhalle sieht ist man erst mal verwirrt. Wenn man rein geht und durch den Vorhang in eine gemütliche Welt eintaucht. Das Essen hat mich an ein tolles Restaurant in Pefkos erinnert. Und warum?! Weil man hier wirklich noch echt und ehrlich griechisch kocht. Portionen finde ich richtig und sehr schmackhaft. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und trotz hoher Decke angenehm und es zieht nicht. Wir hatten eine Vorspeisenplatte, Gyros und bifteki. Es ist nicht günstig, muss ehrliches selbstgemachtes Essen aber auch nicht sein. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und herzlich. Ein gelungener Abend.

Wartezeit von knapp 1,5 Stunden aufs Essen. Portionen waren Mini. Der vegane Gyros bestand nur aus Austernpilzen. Tsatsiki war in einer Mini Schale (so. ca. 1 EL) und dass bei einem Preis von 23€. Okra Bohnen Eintopf war lecker aber auch sehr Mini (Größe einer Vorspeise). 3 kleine Scheiben Kartoffeln und ein paar Okra Bohnen und einen Tomatige Sauce. Der Service war absolut unaufmerksam. Es war unglaublich schwierig die Aufmerksamkeit zu erhalten. Weil die Kellner einfach nicht geschaut haben. Mehrfach wurden an Unserem Tisch Pita Brote vergessen. Als wir noch zu trinken bestellten ging der Kellner einfach obwohl noch jemand was bestellen wollte und auch redete.

Leider einer der schwächsten Griechen die ich je besucht habe. Das Essen hat mich einfach nicht überzeugt. Auch die nur mit Schlagworten ausgestattete Karte über der Bar (oder nur am Handy abrufbar) war etwas nichts sagend. Dies mag aber mein persönliches Empfinden sein. Am Service habe ich absolut nichts bemängeln, auch wenn der bei 4 besetzten Tischen Nachfrage musste ob wir bar oder mit Karte zahlen wollen - hatten wir keine Minute vorher gesagt. Die Location liegt in einem Sportheim, sodass man des öfteren Geschrei und Getriller hört, dies hat nach dem 3 x mal einfach gestört. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Wow, hier ist’s wirklich wie in Mamas Küche! War neulich da und hab gefragt, ob sie schon geöffnet haben, da hat der Kellner geantwortet: „Nein, aber du kannst gern schon mal den Tisch decken.“

Ich war insgesamt zufrieden mit meinem Besuch. Das Essen war in Ordnung, und besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich die sehr fairen Preise für den Hauswein – wirklich ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Lammfleisch hätte für meinen Geschmack etwas zarter sein dürfen, aber ansonsten war alles solide und stimmig. Insgesamt ein guter Besuch, den ich weiterempfehlen kann.

We don't really understand the hype. The food was rather average for the price. Fries arrived when the main course was almost finished. They had no flavor either. The service was very friendly at first, but unfortunately not attentive. The place isn't very big, but it took us 10 minutes to get their attention while paying. There are better and cheaper Greek alternatives...

Für 2Personen reserviert, zu dritt gekommen und unkompliziert einen Tisch für 3Personen bekommen. Cocktails, welche nicht auf der Karte stehen, werden trotzdem gemacht 👍 Keine lange Wartezeit auf die Getränke und das Essen. Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis 🙂 Einem erneuten Besuch steht nichts im Wege.

We've been there several times and have always been very satisfied. The artichoke appetizer with garlic pita bread is always a perfect start. The bifteki and lamb chops that followed were also delicious. Special requests were accommodated immediately. We will definitely come again. Thank you for the lovely evening!

My girlfriend and I visited Munich for the first time in May 2025, and stayed at an Air BNB literally down the driveway. We were greeted promptly, seated, and waited on by a very friendly waiter. (Wish I remembered his name) We arrived late, close to closing, but ordered our meals, and were treated to some amazing food! After finishing our meal, we had a nice conversation with the waiter who then treated me to Ouzo. I was reluctant to try it, but did. Another amazing surprise!! We felt like we were treated like family that evening. We had such a great time and great food, we returned the following night. I would highly recommend Mama's Kuche for great food, and even better service! Next time we visit Munich, we know where to go.

The best Greek restaurant for me – without exception. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of Greek food, this restaurant really won me over. The appetizer plate was an 11/10, very varied, everything truly delicious. The hand-mixed lemonades and the service were also fantastic. A bit hidden away, but it's worth it! Highly recommended.

Quite disappointed with the food. We had a scampi pan (appetizer) and a gyro with calamari. Unfortunately, both dishes were mediocre in quality. The scampi were really small, and the head had already fallen off. The gyros were small and tasted okay, but nothing special. On the other hand, the food was more expensive than at most Greek restaurants in Munich. We won't be going back.

The food was excellent. Great ingredients, vibrant flavors, and very delicately cooked. The gemista (stuffed peppers) in particular were the best I've had in Munich. Finally, a Greek restaurant where you can find dishes like green beans and peas that still taste good. However, I was a bit disappointed when I asked for bread and was told, "We don't have any bread, only pide." Dishes like beans, peas, etc., cannot be eaten without bread, especially since this is a part of Mediterranean food culture. I understand that bread costs money and would be willing to pay for it. But a restaurant called "in Mama's Kitchen" and then no bread?? Otherwise, the service and atmosphere were simply top-notch.

I'm always happy to go. I prefer going to "In Mama's Kitchen" with a group of friends. That way, you can eat or try a much wider variety of delicious appetizers. The main courses are also great. And the mixed appetizers for two are also great. The moussaka is amazing! The staff, the chef, are always friendly, courteous, and attentive.

Very nicely decorated restaurant. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately he was overwhelmed by the whole place. He was alone and so our empty plates were at the table the whole time. When we wanted to pay we had to wait 25 minutes for him to come. There is definitely a lack of staff there. The food was well prepared but the taste was not a highlight. I had gyros in Metaxa sauce…. This is normally very spicy but I had to add more seasoning.

We went to Mom's kitchen for dinner during the week and it was a really great evening. The restaurant is located in Sendling in a sports club, but that doesn't get in the way of the restaurant's charm. The waitresses were great, helpful and funny and gave us great recommendations. The food was really to die for! We had the vegetarian moussaka and gyros with calamari and rice. We would love to come back!

Nice restaurant with friendly and fast service. The drinks are quite inexpensive, but the food is not so good, as the portions are a bit too small for the price. The bifteki was homemade and tasty, but could have been seasoned a bit more. A side salad would have been possible for that price, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. Instead, we got a round of ouzo on the house, which is a positive note.

A great restaurant in a sports facility. All the dishes we had were super tasty. Reasonably priced and nice service! I can absolutely recommend it. One tiny drawback: We were there in winter and there was a slight draft when guests of the sports facility came in through the main entrance. A jacket over the chair took care of that.

What a brilliant shop! My battery was almost empty and then I discovered the power bank charging station here - a life saver! And while I was waiting, I grabbed some snacks that were absolutely delicious. Perfect!
