We made a reservation for two people, arrived as a group of three, and easily got a table for three. Cocktails not listed on the menu were still made 👍 No long wait for drinks or food. Excellent value for money 🙂 Nothing stands in the way of a return visit.

Nice place and friendly personnel. It is also good is you want to plan small celebration there.

We've been there several times and have always been very satisfied. The artichoke appetizer with garlic pita bread is always a perfect start. The bifteki and lamb chops that followed were also delicious. Special requests were accommodated immediately. We will definitely come again. Thank you for the lovely evening!

My girlfriend and I visited Munich for the first time in May 2025, and stayed at an Air BNB literally down the driveway. We were greeted promptly, seated, and waited on by a very friendly waiter. (Wish I remembered his name) We arrived late, close to closing, but ordered our meals, and were treated to some amazing food! After finishing our meal, we had a nice conversation with the waiter who then treated me to Ouzo. I was reluctant to try it, but did. Another amazing surprise!! We felt like we were treated like family that evening. We had such a great time and great food, we returned the following night. I would highly recommend Mama's Kuche for great food, and even better service! Next time we visit Munich, we know where to go.

The best Greek restaurant for me – without exception. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of Greek food, this restaurant really won me over. The appetizer plate was an 11/10, very varied, everything truly delicious. The hand-mixed lemonades and the service were also fantastic. A bit hidden away, but it's worth it! Highly recommended.

Quite disappointed with the food. We had a scampi pan (appetizer) and a gyro with calamari. Unfortunately, both dishes were mediocre in quality. The scampi were really small, and the head had already fallen off. The gyros were small and tasted okay, but nothing special. On the other hand, the food was more expensive than at most Greek restaurants in Munich. We won't be going back.

We discovered this Greek restaurant through the website "TheFork." Upon entering, we were greeted very warmly by the owner and seated immediately. After a short wait, we were able to order our drinks. Unfortunately, the menu is only available online or on a board above the counter. Personally, I prefer to have a paper menu in hand. The website states that there is a vegan menu available on-site, but we didn't notice it. The appetizers (zucchini and eggplant + saganaki) were delicious. The main courses (gyros calamari) were equally delicious - although 2-3 more forks of gyro wouldn't have hurt. The gyro was so wonderfully seasoned that I can't remember the last time I ate such a good gyro. The star deduction for service is due to the fact that we had to wait a good 30 minutes before we "reached" someone so we could pay.

The appetizer plate was simply fantastic! The best gyros I've ever eaten and the staff were super friendly. I can only recommend it!

The food was excellent. Great ingredients, vibrant flavors, and very delicately cooked. The gemista (stuffed peppers) in particular were the best I've had in Munich. Finally, a Greek restaurant where you can find dishes like green beans and peas that still taste good. However, I was a bit disappointed when I asked for bread and was told, "We don't have any bread, only pide." Dishes like beans, peas, etc., cannot be eaten without bread, especially since this is a part of Mediterranean food culture. I understand that bread costs money and would be willing to pay for it. But a restaurant called "in Mama's Kitchen" and then no bread?? Otherwise, the service and atmosphere were simply top-notch.

I'm always happy to go. I prefer going to "In Mama's Kitchen" with a group of friends. That way, you can eat or try a much wider variety of delicious appetizers. The main courses are also great. And the mixed appetizers for two are also great. The moussaka is amazing! The staff, the chef, are always friendly, courteous, and attentive.

Very nicely decorated restaurant. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately he was overwhelmed by the whole place. He was alone and so our empty plates were at the table the whole time. When we wanted to pay we had to wait 25 minutes for him to come. There is definitely a lack of staff there. The food was well prepared but the taste was not a highlight. I had gyros in Metaxa sauce…. This is normally very spicy but I had to add more seasoning.

We went to Mom's kitchen for dinner during the week and it was a really great evening. The restaurant is located in Sendling in a sports club, but that doesn't get in the way of the restaurant's charm. The waitresses were great, helpful and funny and gave us great recommendations. The food was really to die for! We had the vegetarian moussaka and gyros with calamari and rice. We would love to come back!

Nice restaurant with friendly and fast service. The drinks are quite inexpensive, but the food is not so good, as the portions are a bit too small for the price. The bifteki was homemade and tasty, but could have been seasoned a bit more. A side salad would have been possible for that price, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. Instead, we got a round of ouzo on the house, which is a positive note.

A great restaurant in a sports facility. All the dishes we had were super tasty. Reasonably priced and nice service! I can absolutely recommend it. One tiny drawback: We were there in winter and there was a slight draft when guests of the sports facility came in through the main entrance. A jacket over the chair took care of that.

What a brilliant shop! My battery was almost empty and then I discovered the power bank charging station here - a life saver! And while I was waiting, I grabbed some snacks that were absolutely delicious. Perfect!

We had dinner with my parents in mom's kitchen. The service was great, very attentive and nice. For starters we had the flatbread with tzatziki and the grilled okopus. (Sort of) hidden Gem in Munich:) I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally did it yesterday. The biggest reason that made me come here was the vegan menu. I didn’t find it on the website but got it right away when I asked for it. The service seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people in the restaurant as the drinks and food took a bit longer than usually expected and we also had to go to the bar to ask for the bill as no one seemed to overlook everything and notice us waiting. But I saw that they are looking for additional waitresses (maybe I’ll apply when I move to Munich in a month ;)) The food was very tasty and I enjoyed the vegan gyros plate (a bit expensive for the mushrooms and fries) and I liked that it was made out of mushrooms and not “just” a bought meat alternative. It could’ve been a little bit less oily but it was fine (I think Greek cuisine is known for its heavy use of oil) The “meat-eating-people” also enjoyed their meals. I’ll definitely come back to try other vegan things of their menu (or to apply for a job) Thank you for having us!

Great food! One of the best Greek places in town when it comes to flavors and service. It is a pity there is no terrace outside, would be great food for a summer night. The best Greek in all of Munich! At first we were a bit skeptical because the restaurant is quite hidden in a residential area, in a sports club. In addition, the shop is hardly Greek, but rather simply and comfortably furnished. However, this restaurant turns out to be a real insider tip! The bifteki and souvlaki are so juicy and flavorful, as are the octopus and baby calamari. The starters and dessert were also excellent. The extremely nice waiter served us very warmly, even when we were sitting upstairs, he came regularly to check on us. The price-performance ratio is also definitely right here. It was a wonderful evening, we are happy and would love to come back!

This place truly is a hidden gem. So pleasantly surprised to walk down a small alley to find this restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible. Best zucchini puffer I’ve ever eaten. Garlic pita was also great. Then the husband and I had chicken gyros and pork souvlaki - both were super flavorful and tasty. Decor and vibe is fun and modern. Service is charming and efficient. We will definitely be coming back here for more.

Found this small but fine Greek restaurant by chance and didn't regret it. Despite the warm weather in April, the restaurant was full by 6 p.m., which was good because we had made reservations in advance. I've never had such a good bifteki (beef) as in my mom's kitchen, loose and light, it could have been a few more fries but it doesn't matter. So the chef sat down with us like he was old friends and started talking. It was clear to us that this wasn't our last visit here. Then a little greeting came from the kitchen in the form of a small dessert. You can tell it's a family business run with love... As a farewell there was the obligatory Uzo on the house. Here I can say with full conviction...keep it up and thank you for the lovely hours, it definitely wasn't our last visit...
