I love Thai food. The food here was good. We tried Leng Sap (Thai style braised pork ribs)and som Tam (green papaya salad) and lots of others dishes. One thing that was disappointing was that just some dishes tasted like proper thai-tast…the price was ok. The waiter was very friendly.

A real insider tip – now my favorite place I discovered this place just a month ago – and immediately fell in love! Since then, I've been here five times and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. All the dishes are outstanding, delicious, and full of flavor. If you're sensitive to spice, be aware that the food is always spicy – ​​even if you ask for a milder flavor, a certain basic level of spice will remain. This is important to know, but for lovers of spicy dishes, it's an absolute delight. The design is simple but tasteful – the atmosphere pleasant and inviting. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming. There's nothing more to say: just go and try it yourself – it's worth it!

Waited half an hour for the food. Very uncoordinated service. Unaccommodating and very chaotic. Food was okay, but not worth the money.

Last time we were the food was okay but most of all what we were not satisfied is the attitude of the male Thai-waiter who has tattoo on his arm, very bad attitude. He served us with an arrogant and indifferent attitude. We will comeback but don’t want his hospitality again!!!!!

Spicy but tasty. Top quality of the food, gladly again!

Overall it was very good. The food was very tasty and really authentic. Just two little things that didn't go 100%. The waitress forgot to serve a portion of rice, which wasn't a problem for us since we had ordered two extra portions of sticky rice. And finally, we would have liked to have been informed in advance if the coconut sorbet could not be served for dessert and instead we would get a scoop of vanilla ice cream with the egg custard.

We have been here several times over the years and have always enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, we have now discovered that a lot has changed. The portions have become smaller and more expensive, and the menu much more limited - there are no pasta dishes anymore. Everything would still be within limits if the quality was still the same. Unfortunately, this has also decreased and even the service is no longer so friendly. Very unfortunate.

Disappointing Visit to Tossakan – Despite a Kind Service Attempt. We visited the Thai restaurant Tossakan yesterday, looking forward to an enjoyable evening. We ordered three starters and two main courses. Since we generally enjoy spicy food – just not Thai-level spicy – we specifically asked the waitress to have the dishes prepared mildly to medium spicy. She was very friendly and assured us that the spicy sauces would be served on the side, which we really appreciated.However, when the main courses arrived (including a fish dish with two sauces), both sauces were extremely spicy – so much so that we could barely eat the food. When we asked for a milder sauce, we were told that the sauces had already been prepared and could not be changed. We were also advised against choosing an alternative sauce, as it supposedly wouldn’t go with the dish.As a result, we were left with two dishes that were essentially inedible. We asked to have them packed to take home, hoping to prepare our own sauce later. It was also disappointing that the waiter didn’t even ask why we had barely touched our food – no “I’m sorry,” no curiosity, nothing.On top of that, the wine selection was very limited, and the wine we ordered neither tasted good nor paired well with the food – unfortunately, something we’ve often experienced in Asian restaurants. Conclusion: Tossakan made a good impression at first, but in the end, we left feeling disappointed – due to both the kitchen’s lack of flexibility and the lack of attention from the service staff. A shame, as we had really hoped for more.

Everything was delicious. I kept asking for food, but the staff were so kind.

The service was extremely bad, as was the tone, as if we had done something to the two employees. The food was very dry and hard and we didn't enjoy it. The drink was 3/4 ice and the mint leaves had already died.

I was really craving for some spicy thai food and Tossakan delivered! I ordered "Pad Krapao Moo", which is minced pork with chili, garlic and thaibasil. It was one of the best I've had! It even included a fried egg. Balance of flavours was very good and the chiliheat got my sweat going (I asked for thai spicy). The only thing I missed was a runny eggyolk.

Didn’t even get through the front door as the staff have an attitude problem and were rude to my wife.

You can rightly say that the food at Tossakan is some of the best Thai food you can get in Berlin. My husband is Thai and was often disappointed by the many “Thai” restaurants in Berlin, but the store's good reputation lured us here. We are thrilled and would love to come back!

I expected more from this site. I don't doubt that the food is authentic, very good chive dumplings, quite large portion. The kra pao is also good, maybe a little oily but rich and with a perfect spiciness. However, the service was very slow and not particularly attentive, without the place being full. The restaurant is a bit dark and not very welcoming. The prices are good despite some very expensive dishes on the menu that are a bit out of place.

I've been here several times and am always satisfied. I think the selection of dishes is very good and so far I've enjoyed everything I've tried. It's best to come with a few friends so you can order and share several dishes. I love that Leng Saap is now a regular dish with a regular portion. However, I had the feeling that it used to have a more intense taste when you had to pre-order it. Maybe it needed to be adjusted a little for broader tastes. The service is also great: fast and friendly. Overall, I still give it 5 stars and will definitely come back!

Their staff was very friendly and let me know they were a bit busy, so the food might take a little longer, it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect. You can also ask for it to be spicier if you can handle the heat. So far, I really like it!

I've already eaten there twice. The food is really tasty, but the portion sizes are quite outrageous considering the prices. The vegetarian offer cannot be taken seriously either. I immediately think of the fried spinach for €12 at the “Classics”, which there really wasn’t much of, but at least it tasted good. The service was incredibly unfriendly, especially last time (the waiter with the tattoo on his forearm). In summary, the food is tasty, but so is any other good Thai restaurant like Papaya (much better in my opinion ^^). The portion sizes are far too small for the price and the service is sometimes really terrible. I never actually write a review, but after my last evening I have to. My last visit was on 04/12/25

I've been to Thailand several times and love the food there. The food here is so authentic that you'll think you're back in Thailand. Even better in some cases. Really good food and great value for money too. It has become one of my favorite spots in Berlin.

My girlfriend and I always like to come here, especially to bridge the waiting time until our next vacation in Thailand in November. Every time the food here reminds us of our travels! Super authentic, but with a special twist: classic Thai dishes that you know and love, but prepared in a fine, modern interpretation. You can tell that the owner not only wants to serve street food, but also has experience in fine dining and brings that influence to the table. The ambience fits perfectly – stylish but relaxed. And no matter what we've tried so far: everything was consistently delicious. Absolute recommendation!

Highly recommend Kra Pao to people who love spicy food!

The employees were clearly not interested and were annoyed by the guests. Unfortunately the food was way too spicy, even though I like spicy food. It's a shame, I was hoping for more!

A male waiter with tattoos had very rude behavior. The day before yesterday I had reserved a table for 7 p.m. and spoke to a man on the phone. I also asked if you had to pre-order the pork chop, to which he replied that you didn't have to. When I arrived with my friends, the waiter told us that we didn't have a reservation. I explained to him that I had called, but he kept claiming it was just a voicemail - even when I assured him that I had spoken to a real person. Only after I showed him the call history did he reluctantly say we should wait a moment. He was very unfriendly and the expression on his face clearly showed his disdain. We ended up leaving the restaurant very upset and decided not to eat there. The waiter continued to be condescending.

When ever I’m felling homesick. Tossakan food helps ! Every dish is delicious. Some more some less but they all freaking good.

Food was good and more authentic than some other places but still can’t keep up with the OG Thai fresh spices and flavours. Staff was very attentive though. When we dropped a chopstick, they immediately came and gave us a new pair. It was somewhat busy at a Tuesday evening so making a reservation might be a good.

The waiter with a tattoo on his arm was very unfriendly. When ordering, I clearly pointed to number 24 (grilled fish) on the menu. Nevertheless, dish number 25 (fried fish) was brought to me. I said in German: “This is not grilled fish.” But he replied annoyed that he didn't understand me. So I explained it in English: “24, not 25.” Nevertheless, the bill was charged the price for #25, which was higher. Also: The pork ribs used to be convincing despite the high price - they actually had meat on them. Now you pay 15 euros for almost nothing but bones.

Delicious. Delicious. Better than expected. I will come again next time. The black tiger shrimp curry is highly recommended. The Thai milk tea is very authentic. I will come again next time. I like it very much.

There were ten of us in Tossakan and everyone was more than thrilled. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. The service staff not only took individual wishes into account, but also gave appropriate tips when putting together the starters and main courses. We can only recommend Tossakan. Tossakan is definitely authentic, but more for people who want to try their hand at Thai cuisine slowly. The flavors are good, but just too modern and not fishy enough for us from Isaan - it lacks the intense, original notes that we love. The portions are also quite small, especially if you like to share, so we had to order more often. For example, some dishes were sold out, like the pork belly, or there were simply different dishes than last time. A changing menu 🤭 The price is rather high, but luckily my sister invited. 😆🥰 Anyone who wants to try Thai cuisine is in good hands here - for hardcore Isaan fans the kick is missing a bit!

The cozy atmosphere and authentic Thai flavors make it a must-visit. Chef Don’s dishes are packed with bold, delicious flavors! The juicy satay, crispy pork belly, fresh som tam, and chive dumplings were all incredible, but the real star was the Mama Tom Yam. The rich, flavorful broth with seafood, crispy pork, mushrooms, and egg yolk was pure comfort in a bowl. To top it off, their banana cake and mango sticky rice are the perfect sweet ending. Huge thanks to Jimmy for his amazing hospitality, it made the experience even better! Highly recommend for anyone craving real Thai food! 🌟🍜✨

It's so delicious that you absolutely have to order the Ssam Tam and the Lang Ssam as well! And if you are coming in the evening, I recommend making a reservation!

Definitely my go to place for thai food. Must try mhu krob, fish patties, mama tom yam, mhu paloh, and kra pao. Also dont forget the thai tea!! Great staff, awesome owner, and nice atmosphere.

BEWARE: THE WAITERS FORCE YOU TO TIP THEM! I had lunch there last Friday and split the bill with my friend by paying a little more. When my friend wanted to pay the remaining amount, they said we're running short. I insisted on them that we paid and it's the amount, yet they said we should have chosen the items we ate & drunk. I explained that we already paid the whole amount but he wouldn't accept it. I asked if I paid extra for a tip and he said "Yes". Then he should have told me before that I'd have to choose the items and pay accordingly. So they trick you into paying more, be very careful. Food is not special either, mediocre compared to any Thai option on Kantstraße.

First visit to tossakan, fantastic restaurant, the entire crew and the boss are super friendly, the food is really good and really like in Thailand, I had my best somtam in all of Germany here, and I've already had a few. But it's also a great menu otherwise, the pad kra pao was really tasty, the only small point of criticism is that you have cha yen on the menu, which I think is great, and unlike many others, yours isn't that watery either, it's really good. Except for the little thing that you replace sweet condensed milk with a milk-sugar mixture, that unfortunately adds a lot of authenticity. It doesn't taste bad but just not like in Thailand. But that's complaining on a high level, if I don't have any money for Thailand I'll come to you in the future

I came here specifically for the Yellow Curry Fried Crab 🦀️. I managed to reserve a spot and a fried crab curry by phone the day before, but when I went to Tossakan the next day I was told that the crab curry was sold out. I would like to ask why this feature is open if the reservation serves no purpose? The food was okay, but every dish was very spicy and I was completely bored and sick after just one bite.

I can only say recommendable. I've eaten a lot of Thai food, the taste here is very good and I love the product. Had 3 starters, 1 main course Everything is great For groups, I recommend ordering all starters to share. I'll be clear again I thought the second restaurant in Kreuzberg was good. The pork belly, the soup and the dumplings were to my liking. I can't say anything about the main courses except the braised short rib, which was good.

Best thai food in berlin by far. The papaya salad was on the spot, spicy and fresh! As the main dish, I had a beef version of Kra Pao, which had a perfect mix of flavour and really tender beef. Was craving for something sweet after the explosion of spices, which was pleased with a mango sticky rice. Definitely will come back to try other dishes. The menu looks really promising!

My wife and I actually eat very spicy food, but it was too much even for us and it puts a lot on our stomachs. The decor is rather spartan and despite the heating it is very cold in the restaurant. The service was very friendly and the mild dishes were also very tasty.

This might be the best Thai food I’ve ever had in Europe (much better than the london ones for sure, just saying). Distinct flavour each dish and the meat was very tender. Might be a bit of a challenge to finish the bowl if Tom Yum Gai if you have low spice tolerance, but it was a lovey starter on a cold winter day.

The service was so not impressive and the waitress was quite rude, but the food was authentic.

Half of the food was served cold after 1 hour of waiting and the other came 10 minutes later. (Guests who came after our group had already finished eating) After a complaint, the food was taken back without comment and remade... another 15 minutes wait. The service wasn't even willing to offer an apology or explanation. That was the last time in the restaurant. (The food was good, but not worth the 60 minute wait)

Never had such a bad meal in Berlin, it lacked any taste and it had nothing to do with Thai cuisine. The service staff were unfriendly and the whole thing was rounded off by a recurring olfactory greeting from the toilet.

We ate incredibly well here... Dishes are as we know them from our Streetfoot tours in Bangkok... We will definitely come back...

We were there with 3 people and we all had to say: Extremely poor quality of meat - tough and inedible. Since almost all the pieces of meat were left on the plate, the waitress was kindly made aware of this. The only reaction was an offended twisting of the corners of the mouth, no "I'm sorry" or "I'll pass it on to the kitchen". In a rather high-priced restaurant (around 18 euros for a comparatively small portion), at least a small drink or something similar would have been expected as an apology. The dish that was listed as less spicy on the menu was super spicy. The dish, which had been ordered as extra spicy, was comparatively mild. The men's toilet was broken that evening, which you could clearly smell when you went in. Since we had one of the tables at the back, it was no longer noticeable. But tables near the toilets were also occupied.

The food is basically like that of almost all Thai and other Asian restaurants. Here the Tossakan stood out neither positively nor negatively. The same applies to the ambience. There are probably only a handful of interior designers for this type of restaurant, so that's why they all look the same? Unfortunately, the service was a bit out of the ordinary: maybe it was a “bad day”, but the curt, annoyed style and the ostentatious disappearance when you hadn't made your choice yet felt stupid; Even if you don't get a smile from an Asian person - then I can also go to a Berlin shop.

I really love Thai food. The food here was authentic and delicious. We wanted to try Leng Sap (Thai style braised pork ribs), but unfortunately we couldn't try it because it was pre-ordered. We will come back. Som Tam (green papaya salad) tasted like the ones we had in Thailand. One thing that was disappointing was that the basil was fried in the pork and basil fried rice, so we couldn't taste the basil at all. Recommended restaurant.
