Tortilleria Mexa Berlin in Berlin

Had been looking for authentic Mexican food in Berlin for a long time, and I finally found it here! The food was bursting with incredible flavor! I ordered a mixed plate of tacos, and then ordered a second plate of my favorites. (One plate would be enough for an average person, but my mouth was so happy I did not want to stop eating!) Ordering was super simple, and the food came fast. The gentleman working was very friendly. I do not understand with all these positives why it does not have an even higher rating. My only wish is that they had a location closer to me on the west side of Berlin. But I am planning my next visit there already (with my mouth-watering).

Straight to the heart of Mexico in the middle of Germany, I loved it. Excellent food and product, in addition to the good atmosphere and service! I recommend it without a doubt!!

The tacos were really delicious. I've never eaten something so delicious before. You might think the selection is too small, but that's exactly how it is. Small selection, but perfect execution. Very nice shop owner who values ​​his customers. Great shop!

Just had a tostada and a little Mezcal here. I was a bit hesitant bc they used black beans instead of pinto, but the flavors were definitely there! My parents are mexican and I've had plenty a tostada close to this. Would 100% recommend if you are craving mwxican food!

Simple authentic Mexican restaurant. Little variety but everything very delicious and HOMEMADE. A place we will return to.

The best tortias in town, but they open way too late and are always empty. The Asian shop across the street now sells pies, salsa, chipotle and always has everything in stock. I would much rather give my money to you. It's a shame that it almost always doesn't work.🌮😟

Having lived in Los Angeles for a decade, I’ve had great Mexican food and the tacos here are definitely authentic amazing Mexican food. The staff is incredibly friendly. Options for meat eaters and vegetarians. And gluten-free! They make their own corn tortillas and beans.

Delicious tacos with excellent seasoning. The tinga toast is delicious!!!! Homemade flavor and excellent service. Very good carnitas and nopal tacos!!! Without a doubt a place to return, the margaritas are the most delicious I have ever tried. 👏🌮😍💯

I was here to buy fresh tortillas to take home and stayed for a few tacos. Very nice owner and authentic food. Unfortunately only a vegetarian alternative.

I love every detail about this place. The food was really good! And they make their own sauce, tortilla and everything. The owner was reallly friendly and was making little jokes that we really liked.

For me one of the best Mexicans in Berlin, the fact that they made their own tortillas on site was impressive. The atmosphere corresponds to a typical taquería in Mexico and I really liked it. Unfortunately the boss was a bit strange to us, but maybe he was just having a stressful day.

Coming from Los Angeles, I am very selective and meticulous about my tacos. A lot of places here in Berlin claim to be Mexican food, but nothing comes close to the authenticity of this place. Homemade tortillas, carnitas seasoned to perfection and horchata... You know how hard it is to find real horchata in Europe? Well, this place has it and so much more. What a precious gem this place is. I can't recommend it enough. Marcelo is very friendly, attentive and his service is spectacular. I will be back often.

The best tacos we’ve had in Berlin! They were so good we ordered more. Definitely try the carnitas tacos—they're amazing 🤩. We chose the 3-taco option, and you can pick a different flavor for each, so you can try them all. I think they have 3, 4, and 5-taco options, but for sure, try the carnitas. Plus, they gave us free tequila afterward. The owner was so kind and attentive. You can really see how much heart he has put into his business. Great tacos and great prices. We will be coming back.

This is the best food ive had in Berlin or Germany. Not sure why it doesnt have better ratings. Amazing service, amazing food, and the homemade tortillas may seem like a small difference but it really is the base of this being so good!

The food is average while the price is quite high for what you get. Moreover the staff is super unfriendly. My friend had ordered (after she had written it down) 3 pork and 6 chicken tacos. When she had asked if she should repeat the order, the waiter had said no. We were served 2 chicken and 7 pork, not even remotely close to the original order. When we asked about it, he implied my friend was lying and saying 2-7 was what she had ordered even though she definitely had not. Instead of showing hospitality he and the owner started talking in Spanish, being rude to us and because we didn’t want to fight with them, we accepted the order even though one of us does not eat pork. All in all: overhyped with a rude attitude. Don’t go there.

The owner was quite rude and went on about how he is the only one making Quesadillas in Berlin and how he imported a fancy grill from Mexico. He also said that if we didn't like it, we should not come back. We were listening to all his arrogant talk in utter silence and shock, took our food and ate outside. One of the most shockingly offensive experiences I had in an eatery in Berlin.

Those were the best Tacos I ever had since being to Mexico. Really authentic! The place is a little dodgy though, so rather sth for a quick bite or takeaway than for a date :) Service is slow, but the Tacos are so worth the wait!

Bro interrogated me of stealing 2 cokes that I've already paid. I said that I already paid and waited a while to get them because I don't want drinks to get hot until the dishes are ready. He asked what I ordered, how much it was bla bla bla, such a shame on him. If you want to be sure your costumer has paid for something give them a receipt. Hope you will be more respectful to the next customers. Food wasn't delicious either. But I am not sure if they cooked it bad or food's itself is bad.

Are you craving for the real deal authentic tacos? This is the place…fresh made tortillas and simple and therefore excellent tacos. Carnitas Tinga or cactus. Tried every place in Berlin and this is no exaggeration the best and most authentic.

I tried all the tacos shops in our neighborhood many times and I always come back here. It is just the best, the flavor is amazing, so authentic! If you are looking for a real tacos come here!!

The tacos are delicious, 😋they have Mexican beers like Pacífico, Negra Modelo and Modelo Especial. (A promo for 3.4 or 5 tacos the beer was +1€) The horchata came out rough but very delicious. The sauces sting 🌶 richer 😍. We'll be back The tacos were so good. I had to stop to take a picture after I had two tacos. 🤩🤩🤩 (chicken and carnitas) the staff was super friendly too.

Wednesday offer: 3 tacos and a beer/soft drink n.w. for *10€*. Great...you really can't complain about that. (Biggest potato praise 😀)

Authentic and very tasty tacos made from homemade corn tortillas! Super nice with nopales and black beans - the hot sauces were really good too. The owner is very friendly and available for a relaxed chat. Came in spontaneously and I'm glad I did it (: keep it up!

The Nopales Tacos (vegetarian) were delicious. I would like a few more variations of this, but I'm full and found the authentic hot salsas and lime on the side very tasty! I will gladly come again.

Delicious quesadillas, although a bit on the smaller side, with the most delicious sauce on the side. You have got the use the squeeze bottle sauce as it adds a ton of flavor to the food

Yesterday I had dinner at Mexa with my girlfriend, who is from Mexico, and everything was just right: homemade corn zortillas, carnitas that were delicious, Mexican beer and then of course a mezcal. Everything about Mexican music. Absolutely authentic, delicious and like a short vacation :)

This is definitely the Best Taco you'll be able to eat outside of Mexico. The employees are super nice, the food comes fast, it’s everything homemade and I can’t describe how good it tastes(my favorite are the Carnitas).

I came here because I read about the good references on Google, but I feel deceived. The tacos didn't taste good, the cactus and meat had no flavor and the agua fresca was equally tasteless. There were several people there, but none of us liked the food.

We expected more from this establishment, according to the reviews we read. The service was not so good, the tacos and drinks were poor. There is almost no variety of stews to choose from.

After 3 days in Berlin we were missing home and craving some Mexican food. We were excited when we found Tortilleria Mexa Berlin, an authentic Mexican restaurant. The owner was an amazing host who provided great conversation. We had the carnitas and tinga tacos on fresh house made tortillas and they were delicious, exactly what we had wanted! We enjoyed them with some tequila, of course. Overall great experience, highly recommend eating/drinking here!

We ended our Berlin taco & mezcal tour here, and this place has the most traditional tacos… and that is not the Mezcal talking. Highly recommended ❤️
