Fantastic food, very nice service, very relaxed atmosphere! Again at any time

Came in without a reservation. Average tacos, don’t expect insane flavor or spice. Very much for the German palette unfortunately, maybe that is attractive for some. Plus takes a while to be served. PS: Thanks for your response. Your food is too safe. This is a response from your customer. You are still selling it in a predominantly German neighbourhood, so we get it, playing safe goes hand in hand, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Okay to always take a bit of criticism, right :)

Super nice little restaurant with loving owners, very tasty food, great margaritas and the cuddliest welcome ever🐶! The guests and their wishes are addressed very individually and the vegetarian/vegan options are great! Only the furnishings could be revised a bit. We had a great evening! Thank you very much 😊

they accused me of lying about having had eaten their food before when i tried to order food for pickup. total nonsense. they run a blacklist of customers that they don't cook for. they are the only toxic people in the neighborhood in which i lived for 10 years. the couple that runs the restaurant is delusional and aggressive.

My friend and I couldn't get enough of the food! Original Mexican cuisine, super friendly staff, super fast service, good prices and a very sweet decoration, highly recommended for a first date! The best employee, however, was a sweet little dog that I was allowed to pet for a long time and wanted more and more hahaha, I immediately closed him in my heart along with the local🥹 If there were 6 stars I would have given them, we had a fantastic night here, thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤

8EUR for 4 tacos, the cheapest in Berlin (good quality and definitely better taste). One of the best Mexican restaurants in Berlin. The food is super tasty, the owners come every day to personally choose the meats and vegetables; The tortillas are bought from experts. I have no more words to describe the consistency and quality of this great place. Up Oaxaca!!

Dedikerede værter der selv laver autentisk mexikansk mad, der smager, så englene synger. Man skal reservere bord, agt. Indkøb af råvarer, men vi var heldige at snige os med.En uforglemmelig oplevelse.

I loved the place, the service was very pleasant and the tacos were exquisite. Me and my partner really enjoyed it, but I recommend making a reservation if there are more than 2 of you, as it fills up very quickly.

Ein wirklicher toller kleiner Laden mit super freundlichen und liebevollen Besitzern. Alle Gerichte wurden frisch zubereitet. Man konnte wirklich schmecken, dass die Zutaten kurz vor Verzehr zubereitet wurden. Die Carnitas waren unglaublich lecker!!

Es ist zwar leider schon zwei Jahre her als ich da war, aber es war ein so tolles Dinner Erlebnis. Sehr klein, exklusiv, aber das Essen war to die for.

A little treasure in Berlin. Run by a friendly couple, this cozy neighborhood spot makes authentic homemade Mexican food. They prefer you call ahead to reserve your place as there's limited space, but you can sometimes walk in if you are passing by.

Terrible experience when ordering online from this place. The person forces you to tip high, otherwise not taking an order. (If that was the owner: change the prices if you want more money; if not: be aware that your employees are hustling customers for tips). The food is mediocre and not worth the hustle.

Hands down, best Mexican food in Berlin I’ve tried so far. It was super cozy, very individual service and very down-to-earth serving. It’s nothing fancy but it’s basic and all about enjoying the food and drinks.

Authentic Mexican! One of my favourite places with great food, wonderful drinks, friendly owners and a lovely friendly dog too. It’s a small, low key eatery run by just two so remember to make a reservation in advance

After hearing so much about Sandunga, I decided to take my wife for my birthday. It is a very low key venue, with a small menu and run by a very lovely couple. The food is authentic and delicious and it was very kind of them to give me a tequila for my celebration. This is Mexican adapting to the Berlin way of doing things. I for one will be going again soon.

Loved this place! The food was delicious; we had the tacos carnitas (pictured), the alambre beef, quesadillas and nachos and everything but especially the tacos were great! The mezcal margarita was also very well made and the prices for everything were absolutely fair. Booking a table beforehand is necessary, but totally worth it and I completely understand their arguments to go with this strategy. We will definitely be back!

Schade, nur mit Reservation – und das, obwohl fast alle Tische frei waren und eine gespenstige Ruhe und seltsame Sterilität in dem Lokal lag. Ich versteh nicht, wieso es keine Option gibt, hier auch ohne Reservation etwas zu essen, zumal das Essen von Tacos ja keine 30 Minuten in Anspruch nimmt. Ich hätte dieses Restaurant und die Tacos gerne probiert.

Very nice place, good attention from the personnel and the food is very delicious and authentic. It is much more than the typical Mexican food that most of the times is not even close to what we have back there. Definitely I would suggest this place to give a try.

Horrible experience with making a reservation. Chatting on FB makes it so complex. We were a group of 5, was told there's a set menu (doesn't say anywhere). Was also warned if I don't turn up I'd be sent a Rechnung (yeah fair, I don't make reservations for fun yk) I didn't fancy the menu proposed & sked for a change. Was told it was possible if I also bought 2 bottles of water for 10€. :) Was not aware the set menu for 5 people must be 90€, was not mentioned earlier either. Have to say the food is good though, so go if you're not a group of 5. :D

Ich hab zum ersten Mal richtige mexikanische Tacos ausprobiert und die Tacos waren super!!! Wir haben Tacos Carnitas und Tacos al Pastor bestellt und eine Portion umfasste 4 Tacos. Wir haben zu zweit 12 Tacos gegessen. Außerdem war die Mitarbeiterin sehr nett ! Ich kann das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen!!!❤️❤️

Great cozy place with amazing food and cocktails, been there several times and it has always been awesome. Have a mezcal there and make a reservation before you come as it's a small space and often full at night.

Real Mexican flavors! Great pastor tacos with great adobo and carnitas (what we tried). Not compromising the quality, ingredients, and flavors. If you want to taste what we Mexicans eat this is the place. you need to do a reservation!

Best tacos in town. Highly reccommend the al pastor and if they have it, agua de jamaica as a drink. The margaritas are also fantastic! Make sure to reserve a table if you wanna go.

Had a great experience today. The most authentic Mexican food we have eaten in Berlin so far. Also wonderful hosts. A couple is running this small place and I see they’re working quite hard. I imagine it shouldn’t be easy to cook for and serve everyone coming in spontaneously so make sure to reserve a table. Looking forward to our next visit!

Recommended only in emergencies. War eine sehr unangenehme Begegnung mit dem Besitzer / Kellner - liegt ja meistens immer an einem selber aber ich habe den Eindruck, dass dieser Mann wirklich unfreundlich und arrogant war. Essen war ziemlich teuer für die kleinen Portionen. Als ich nach Guacamole fragte, wurden mir hektisch drei Gründe genannt, warum er als Mexikaner keine Guacamole hat. Fand ich wirklich lächerlich bei der guten Bewertung. Würde ich nur in Ausnahmefällen weiterempfehlen. Immerhin war das was es gab ganz passabel. Zum Schluss sagte er mir, dass ich ihn an seine pubertäre 15 Jährige Tochter erinnere. Ich war sprachlos... also sowas habe ich im Leben noch nicht erlebt. Viel Erfolg wünschen wir trotzdem weiterhin

Das Essen hat leider nicht die anderen Unannehmlichkeiten wettgemacht. In einer Ecke warten und immer wieder vertröstet werden, ist nicht angenehm. Die schöne Atmosphäre des Restaurants leidet unter der Überforderung der Betreiber.

Super delicious Mexican food and the restaurant is run by a delightful couple! Everything is homemade and authentic. Make sure to reserve seats as the place gets filled up quickly! My only regret is that I found this place only after 2.5 years in Berlin. Highly recommend!

Wirklich ausgezeichnet! Seit fünf Jahren kein mexikanisches Essen mehr gehabt. Wollte Mal wieder etwas Anderes,als Asiatisches. Super lecker, und frisch! Die Bedienung spricht sowohl perfektes Deutsch,als auch Englisch. Cocktails auch zu empfehlen. Karte angenehm kurz ;,Portion groß und der Preis klein. Der süße Wautzi an der Bar ist das i-Tüpfelchen! Wir kommen wieder! Danke!:)

Best Tacos in F-Hain! Definitely worth the money! Just make sure you have a reservation and you don’t mix up the places as their is another place with Tacos next door which is the opposite of Sandunga and i can not recommend! Be aware of that…

Das Sandunga Mezcaleria ist ein kleines aber süßes Lokal, ich glaube sogar, dass es familiengeführt ist. Die Speisekarte ist schlicht und konzentriert sich auf authentische mexikanische Tacos ganz nach dem Konzept klein aber fein. Der Service ist sehr lieb und zuvorkommend, die Getränke und Speisen haben nicht lange auf sich warten lassen. Die Tacos, die ich in diesem Restaurant essen durfte, gehören mitunter zu den besten Tacos, die ich in Berlin hatte! Von meiner Seite aus eine klare Empfehlung! Da das Restaurant klein ist und nicht viele Tische und Sitze bietet, empfiehlt es sich auch, vorher zu reservieren!

I couldn't recommend this restaurant more - a Friedrichshain staple that my husband and I regularly go to (or, since covid, order from). The food is delicious, and the owners are so friendly. They've taken covid safety regulations very seriously for the duration of the pandemic. This is exactly the type of family-run business we should all be supporting.

Unbelievable unfriendly and unprofessional!!! We were 8min late for our reservation and they did not give us a table. They literally just overbooked the restaurant and are not COVID safe. The place is over crowded and no one is keeping distance. A place like this does not deserve to be part of the berlin Gastronomy.

Probably the best tacos we had in berlin so far. Family owned place with loving hosts that speak English, Spanish and German! They were friendly, talkative and very very attending (rare in Berlin). It's advised to book your table (via WhatsApp or Instagram) as the place is small. We'll definitely visit again! It's a must😍
