Tokyo Sushi Bar in Mannheim

Not recommended!!! We waited 2 hours for our food, we were the first to sit in the restaurant and everyone else was allowed to order first and eaten first. I asked the staff about it several times and they were still rude and didn't even apologize. I'll never eat there again!!!!!!

It's been the best sushi restaurant I've known for years. And I've actually tried quite a few, including abroad. The ingredients are not only fresh, but of good quality, which is not cheap. The atmosphere is inviting, with a rather unspectacular terrace in the backyard in summer. For me it was a complete pleasure and my absolute recommendation.

It's a shame, the sushi shop used to be really good. The new location is nice, the sushi has always been very good for decades, but what use is it when - to put it bluntly - the prices have now doubled, the portions have halved and the service has been zero.

An evening at the Tokio restaurant in Mannheim Yesterday evening we visited the Tokio restaurant in Quadrat Q4 in Mannheim and had a really nice evening. The food was of excellent quality and offered an impressive taste experience. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly atmosphere of the house, which immediately invites you to linger. The service was not only attentive, but also extremely courteous and contributed significantly to our well-being. We felt well looked after and that helped make our visit a successful experience. Overall, we can only recommend the Tokio restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We found this restaurant spontaneously because we wanted to have sushi for lunch near our hotel and it was a real stroke of luck. The lunch menu was incredibly tasty and comparatively very cheap. We thought it was so good that we made a reservation for dinner, which was really good. If you want to eat delicious sushi in Mannheim, you should definitely come here.

The faded menu at the entrance isn't exactly inviting, but the food is very good. Service is not at the same level as the prices suggest. Der Sushikoch hinter der Theke , hat mich mit einer freundlichem Geste gebeten, als ich ihm sagte das ich alleine bin , Platz zu nehmen an der Sushi Theke ! Ich habe 20 - 30.Minuten gewartet das eine Bedienung kommt und wenigstens schon Mal ein Getränk aufnimmt ! Fehlanzeige es kam keiner ! Ich musste mir selber eine Karte vom Tisch holen ! Die Preise sind für mich persönlich übertrieben teuer ! Egal ob Sushi ,Sashimi, Rolls etc.., die überteuerten Preise sind nicht gerechtfertigt! Da keiner von den Bedienung mehr kam , gut es war 20:30 oder 20:45 Uhr als ich die Sushi Bar betrat , bin ich wieder aufgestanden und gegangen! Was soll das ??? Die Qualität des Sushis etc kann ich nicht beurteilen da ich nix gegessen habe !Ich komme bestimmt nicht wieder ..! Gibt besser und preiswertere Sushi Bars in Mannheim!

The food, wine selection and service are consistently good. Price-performance ratio is still okay, but tends to be a bit too expensive. The atmosphere is sometimes restless and tired. This could be polished up again. Overall, we always like to come back - especially for the salmon carpaccio!

The shop is famous in the city and they focus on traditional sushi rather than offering too many fusion rolls like flamed or fried varieties. The design and furniture are somewhat boring, which detracts from the ambiance. While I had a pleasant evening, I don't think I'll be visiting too often.

We've known the restaurant for 20 years but haven't been there in recent years. Today's visit was really disappointing, the quality has deteriorated a lot and the portions have shrunk by half. Miso soup is served the size of a teacup and sushi is no longer of the same quality as it used to be, and the sushi has become super small. It's a shame when you pay so much money and go home dissatisfied.

The price-performance ratio is quite okay. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. We got our food very quickly. The homemade teriyaki sauce in particular can't be beat. The only negative would be the lighting, which is quite bright. But that's not a bad thing. Otherwise everything was great!

Sushi wasn't great for me, but ok. Far too expensive in some areas...a bit of fried vegetables as a starter for over 18 euros is out of proportion for me.

Jedno z nejlepších sushi, které jsem za poslední roky jedl. O kvalitě podniku svědčí i nutnost rezervace, pokud nechcete sedět u baru. Ovšem i to mělo své výhody, protože vidíte pod ruce šikovným “kuchtíkům”, převážně opravdu z Japonska. Vcelku velký výběr, čerstvé suroviny, rychlá obsluha, dokonalé jídlo a usměvavý personál si rozhodně zaslouží opravdu dobré hodnocení. Návštěvu jsem zopakoval a určitě ani na podruhé jsem zde nebyl naposledy. Rozhodně doporučuji. 👍

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Der Chef allerdings hat einen frauenfeindlichen Humor. Er frage eine ganze Weile jedesmal meinen Mann, warum er immer noch mit mir ‚alten Frau‘ zusammen ist. Nachdem dies nicht aufhörte, haben wir beschlossen, nicht mehr hinzugehen.

Das beste Sushi Mannheims? Das muss jeder Sushiliebhaber selbst entscheiden. Geschmäcker sind ja bekanntlich verschieden. Wenn mich jemand nach einer guten und besonderen Sushibar in Mannheim fragt würde ich auf jeden Fall als erstes das Tokyo nennen. Alles was wir hier bisher gegessen haben hat uns super geschmeckt. Exklusive Auswahl an Fisch und top Qualität. Beim Lachs kann man aus 2, beim Thunfisch sogar aus 3 Qualitätsstufen wählen. Wer's brauch kann sogar Kaviartoping ordern. Beim Fisch wird hier nicht gegeizt, teilweise ist mir sogar etwas zu viel Fisch auf den Nigiris. Mit dem Fisch der auf den Bluefin-Nigiris lag hätte man locker 4 statt 2 Nigiris machen können. Auch bei den Rolls und Special Rolls gibt es eine riesige Auswahl und abgefahrene Kombinationen. Nicht garade günstig, aber das ist gutes Sushi eher selten.

Ich war jetzt schon einige Male dort. Jedes Mal ist der Service sehr professionell und sehr freundlich. Das Sushi schmeckt auch ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

An der Qualität vom essen gibt es nichts zu meckern. Aber falsche Auszeichnung der allergene bei dem mittags Menü. trotz Rücksprache mit der Bedienung wegen Laktose Intoleranz und einer Lachsunverträglichkeit wurde mir ein Teller mit extra Lachs und eine frischkäsehaltige Rolle gebracht. Das Essen von meiner Tochter wurde auch falsch aufgenommen und dazu noch obwohl extra bestellt mit auf einen unseren Teller gesetzt. Also am Service und der Kommunikation zwischen Service und Küche ist noch viel Verbesserungspotenzial. und dann noch alles zum vollen Preis abrechnen, fand ich persönlich unverschämt.

Wir waren dort zu Dritt an einem Sonntagabend Sushi essen und haben uns auf die Rollen konzentriert. Ein toller Abend. Die Rollen werden handwerklich hochwertig hergestellt, was sich dann auch in einer gewissen Wartezeit widerspiegelt, die sich aber auf jeden Fall lohnt. Unser neuer Favorit in den Quadraten. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell.
